ok so basically it starts with old betty being like 80 and all the other riverdale characters are dead. and then jughead shows up as an angel and takes her back to a high school day and its revealed that she was in a quad relationship with veronica, archie, and jughead. but then all the characters move away from riverdale and die in different ways. then old betty dies and reunites with her friends in riverdale heaven (its not really heaven its like this diner but removed from reality) and narrator jughead is like 'theyre all going to be 17 forever here btw' and then it ends

since im the designated riverdale mutual:

season 6 is about the paralell universe of rivervale and jughead and some others are aware of it (because jugheads double was killed and theres two reggies now) but it all began with a big bang, when a bomb placed under archies bed where him and betty laid in RIVERDALE blew up, that caused the dimension. some very interesting things never happened like toni and cheryl never broke up, jason blossom never died, hiram lodge was never a big bad villain because he died to cancer before veronicas 15th. i reallt dont know where theyre going with this to be honest but i know the realities have been shifting since season 5 with the whole cheryl witchlike powers thing . i know eventually theres going to be a breaking point in the timeline when everything comes to a head and i assume when they all get respawned in the 1950s with a whole new plotline and then jughead becomes aware of the issue as usual

The way relationships are treated in riverdale is crazy bc theres almost no stones unturned in terms of weird almost incest stuff like when betty and jughead are dating their parents are dating, living in the same house, and have a half brother between them, archie and veronica are mostly normal except their parents also date in season one at the same time as them. They do barchie later but its not weird enough for them so they have bettys mom date archies uncle to even the playing field.. this isnt even the half of weird incest stuff in riverdale either i havent even mentioned the blossoms or pollys incest babies or whatever edgar and evelyn evernever were doing... Chic pretends to be bettys brother for months while dating bettys actual brother. And theyre both serial killers. That last bit doesnt have anything to do with the incest stuff its just really funny

im kind of drunk so i hope this is readable. ok so basically the plot of this episode (its the last riverdale musickal ever :() was that gay kevin wrote a musical about the characters . and its the 1950s bc of the time travel from them trying to use their superpowers to stop the meteor from destrroying riverdale so there s more homophobia. but gay kevins musical was writing basilcaly that archies choosing between two things (betty and veronica, basketball and poetry) so the FIRST thing that happened in that ep is that archie had like a homoerotic duet with his understudy where theryee like in the showers right next to each other naked for some reason? and later archie was like i think i need to stop kissing womaen and focus on myself. and gay kevin wrote about betty and veronica being like catty girls who are fighting over archie and theyre like "nooo we're not . gay kevin how could you think we're like that. we'll write our own song about ourselves. "so they wrote this song about how theyre deeper than other people realize and they kissed (they almost kissed two episodes ago but got interrupted). and then they were like we dont need arhcie i like you better

first of all yes its all perfectly readable and makes sense (well. as much as a riverdale description can make sense.) and holy SHIT are you serious????? I like you better???? AND archie no longer kissing women??? im literally so fucking excited to hear that. yall won for real

ok so spoilers alert but i dont even have the energy to be angry abt the riverdale finale it was literally just betty and jughead speaking directly to the audience. saying oh archie gets married and has kids and then dies at 82 and veronica moved to hollywood and won an oscar and then died and blah blah blah. like it wasnt a closure to the show or the characters or the events it was just a twitter post of headcanons of what the characters would do before they all died peacefully in their sleep. NOTHING from the first 6 seasons had ANY meaning. they find out theyre from the future at the very end of the show and it impacts NOTHING in the plot or their development because after the reveal its just the info dump. even the quad scene was just oh u four dated each other (not archie and jughead tho the show that made LITERALLY EVERY character gay/bi didnt have these two together so the quad wasnt even a quad) in the past we never see it didnt impact the show and they broke up on the last day of school. and THEN betty just dies as an old lady and her heaven is sitting in the diner with her friends for eternity. so the whole point of this episode is that they instantly split up when the show finished and had their own lives completely seperste from anything that happened in the show. and then they all just return to the diner for eternity. so their whole life had no growth or meaning theyre just stuck in a timeloop of the show and this whole episode was double meaningless. not to mention that its not even meaningful for betty to be with all her friends here because we've seen the sweet hereafter before and everyone has their own so this is just bettys her friends arent really there shes just going to be in a timeloop with empty delusion made clones of her friends for eternity. its like the writers either ran out of money or care at all abt the plot of the show they just dumped the kids in 1955 and so nothing ever mattered. we didnt get to see tabithas time travel adventures or get to return to their lives it just like those versions of them are dead and never existed. and the other tabitha in 1955 never gets angel tabithas memories or becomes part of their friend group which implies to me that shes not really tabitha and angel tabitha created a sentient clone of herself who may or may not have a soul. so tabitha is god but couldnt return them to their story and why. cos these writers are hacks is why. i can not BELIEVE this is what they did. like genuinely and wholeheartedly couldnt have made a worse ending to a show and this has to be one of the worst finales in tv history.

I think they’ll either do a married life thing in the last season where there are two aus presented, one with Betty one with Veronica or just Archie with someone else. I don’t believe in jarchie since they bait and switched bi Reggie (I’m not sure theyre allowed to make any of the comics mains gay, but kinda-bi Betty is making me think beronica has a slight chance (even if it’s not canon canon and more like. Korrasami?) also… if Archie has to end up with one of them I think they should just be a throuple, however unlikely

I am kind of leaning towards Archie x tabitha now I think that would be a nice endgame relationship with them. I can kind of see them killing jugs again at the end or temporarily which would let it happen. I also really like jabitha. I ALSO think it’d be fun if they had jughead come out as acearo at this stage of the game because anyone who cared about that has surely given up hope by now :( but it’d be funny to see bh shipper reactions

I've seen a few other ppl make the prediction that it'll go in a married life direction and I could totally see that myself. I just don't think they can have only barchie or only varchie be endgame, so it'd have to be both or neither for it to make sense narratively. uak I'm a fan of archie/tabitha too <3 and I feel like jughead's sexuality has gone unaddressed for so long in a way that feels like it's building up to something. he's one of the only characters (and the only main one) to not come out, have a same sex kiss, or contemplate his sexuality, and it feels odd bc ik the writers must be aware of the long history surrounding jughead's sexuality, so I think he's going to have to come out in season seven, whether that be as bi, gay, ace, or something else, but the absence of queer jughead does feel intentional to me. and yeah no jughead coming out scene would piss out that specific breed of bh shippers who were nasty as all hell abt bi betty. can't wait to see their thoughts if jughead says he's not into anyone 🥰

back in dale, people in the explosion are getting powers. archie is heavier, denser. also invulnerable. betty sees auras and jughead is deaf until he learns he can read minds. some shit happens blah blah cheryl is born in the flames and is now a pyrokenetic blah and tabitha is chronokenetic (time traveller). theres also a new villain in town. percival pickens ancestor of general pickens who basically formed riverdale. percivals a weird dude. he seems to be able to control peoples minds? but its probably nothing, everyone thinks under his real mind control. but not our main characters! minus reggie, but he always goes to the bad side then comes back like "oooh that bad man i worked for grrr" so hes fine. then percival curses jughead betty cheryl veronica and reggie with magic. this is only imnportant because now veronica has the kiss of the spider woman and her veronicussy is too good that it kills a man she sleeps with. actually its not her veronicussy, its her in general! she now has poison touch and goes emo for an episode and sings toxic cause of course she would. betty has an affair with an fbi agent and explores sexuality but then settles for her archie <3. archie and tabitha start a union among percivals workers builoding a ghost track. singing bread and roses and everything. unionization! says riverdale, but everyone goes back to work for percy. then percy cause the plauge of egypt on riverdale and a bunch of people die, including archie jughead fangs toni and some other people blah. sabrina spellman comes to town and helps the remaining ladies bring thier loved ones back. go necormancy! it works, cheryl has phoenix powers and that brings the dead back with some shitty blue fire. jughead can now open portals with his mind so he takes tabitha (his girlfriend) to rivervale where they meet bunker jughead whos gone batshit. stuff happens in vale where they blow up percivals ghost train and reggie doesnt work for him anymore. when tabitha and jughead get back people are dead people and the final battle is around the corner. they have to move pops in less than two hours so tabitha, with her time travelling, speeds up time and they move pops all in two hours. slay! archie goes head to head with percival, then everyone (minus jughead and tabitha) punch him in the face. percy turns their powers on them then gopes into pops to defeat jughead. in a fatal turn of events it is jughead who beats percy, then tabitha takes him to 1800s before percy sold his soul for power. theyre saved! or so they think. turns out baileys comet is coming for riverdale and they have 24 hours. not if closeted bisexual veronica has anything to say about it! she absorbs her friends powers through blood to give to cheryl to melt the comet via makeout. cheryl succsefully stops the comet. yes! riverdale is back to normal! nope, not yet. their in the 50s, the day after james dean has died. and everyone forgets everything. not jughead, our narrator. he remembers everything b.c. before the comet, he tells us as cole sprouse pleads silently with the audience to get him out of this hes 30 playing a teenager. oh yeah. theyre all teenagers again. the end, until season seven
