Now that I actually have service, I should joyfully inform you all that the first draft is almost halfway done, and Roan and Arrow should be in your hands by December of this year. It should be published(by yours truly) on December 31st because I’m funny like that. Also, December 31st is one of my favorite days, along with January 1st, because they’re the first real days of beginning to fuck with your mind and asking yourself, “Is it still [insert year], or did I get my days blended together at the worst time of year?”

Alright, not to get too caught up in the MHJ drama, but I’m crying because I just reread my now deleted post-Golden rant complaining about BSH, SB, and my issues with their strategy and I got to this part

No but I was right. Say what you want about MHJ, but NewJean’s was truly HYBE's only other major success outside of BTS and it had nothing to do with BangPD and it turns out that it absolutely did piss him off LMAO. I knew it. You don't have to believe everything she says, but the elevator thing was basically confirmed and there's no normal, well adjusted adult who would ignore young girls like that if they weren't an immature, petty asshole.

Not to be messy and reopen this can of worms, but it does make me think it's even more likely that he might have been a little bitter over LC hitting #1 considering he couldn't take credit for it. He had that whole article in billboard that came out around the same time talking about how they were going to get the next #1 through their connections or infrastructure or however he put it, which was clearly referencing SB & HYBE America. I think he was trying to make it seem like this whole Scooter A&R strategy was ingenious and vital to Western success based on how hard they kept pushing and talking it up. So if MHJ was telling any amount of truth about his attitude and how he acted towards NWJN's, I just can't help but feel like he must have felt at least a LITTLE negatively about LC hitting that #1 right after he was talking such a big game about how his system (that he spent a billion dollars on) was going to be vital to that next #1.

LC was a Korean song Jimin made with a small in-house team so it must have been a little embarrassing for him to say all that to billboard (and probably investors lol) and have it be immediately invalidated. And LC so clearly demonstrated that BTS and the members could still pull off these big feats without him or his ideas and massive investment and personal involvement. And yeah, billboard did target LC right after that to try and smear it's success, but I think this argument still holds up. Especially because if LC was given any extra care or support it could have kept charting. And what billboard did in it's second week was insanely dirty.

(I’m not saying he was MAD about it, or that he didn’t talk it up to investors after, or that he sabotaged Jimin like a vengeful cartoon villain, I’m just being petty and speculating and saying I don’t think he was thrilled about it considering the circumstances)

Likewise NewJean's released music that did have a good chunk of English but was still Korean, and they managed to break a bunch of girlgroup billboard records as well, and that's ANOTHER project that BSH didn't have his hands on at all. In fact it was one he didn't believe in. Yes, ILLIT broke their record for getting their debut song on billboard quicker, however BSH followed the formula that MHJ created and apparently didn't even consult her or give her any credit while creating a group that was clearly inspired by her work (I genuinely love ILLIT and think they have their own identity! But they do follow the formula that MHJ popularized). So it's not like he got another group on billboard with his genius, it was again just following a formula someone else created (Magnetic was a bop and I loved the whole EP, so I'll give him that!).

I honestly don't even know what SB brings to the table that's so helpful because all they need for a pop song to succeed is basic charting tools like CDs and remixes and playlisting, which they could get before him, and basic decent promotions for visibility. And he's not doing anything interesting or helpful for the non-pop releases even though there's a massive market here for indie, alternative, R&B, and rap. Why wasn't CBTM on college stations? He's useless because the pop releases don't even need much to be successful. And none of JKs promotions were new or unique or something they couldn't have gotten before SB either. And if he's doing something else behind the scenes, I don't think that's worth it either.

JK did have more GP tuning in, but his solo debut was still heavily carried by ARMYs who took advantage of every provided tool, so nothing revolutionary they couldn't have accomplished pre-SB. It wouldn't have worked for anyone else like I said before either, a good example being TXT and their Jo Bros collab which flopped. BSH was all overconfident (top 10 on billboard lol) about it because he thought the secret to success was simply - western producer, western collab, english - but their fans didn't care for the song and therefore it didn't do well. So yeah, at the end of the day it's about good music and/or having a big fandom willing to carry (and that very rare charisma the BTS members have). Not whatever stupid synergy strategy BSH thought he unlocked. Honestly I wonder if he's really that stupid to think that they could get a hit with just those things, but I'm starting to think so. Genuinely what good decision has he made lately that wasn't just following trends?

Won't rehash everything again but this MHJ drama did make me look back on all this discourse even though I swore I was done with it. I'm not as bothered by all of this now, I just think it's interesting to look back on and compare some of her criticisms of HYBE & BSH to many of our own criticisms and speculation. While I take her words with a massive grain of salt, I do think there's a lot of outside evidence to back up some of her claims about the company and their issues (and I'm not her fan or excusing her actions or saying she's always truthful either).

Of course I could be totally wrong, just my thoughts. I'll go back to looking forward to Jin returning and upcoming projects because at the end of the day the BTS members are the ones responsible for their own careers and they have to be the ones to advocate for themselves and deal with their company, but the plus side of this situation is that I hope at least some K-ARMYs are approaching the company with more scrutiny and hopefully holding them accountable for certain things, although I won't hold my breath. It was hilarious seeing HYBE's quick response to their complaints about Jin's hug event though. I wish I-ARMYs would stop being such company stans (you can criticize HYBE/BH without being a manti you know) but not getting my hopes up.

I just sincerely hope that this whole SB creative strategy won't carry over into BTS music, or any more of their solo work. I wouldn’t care if the quality was there, but imo it’s too inconsistent (I definitely enjoy most of Golden! Seven is a bop, SNTY is 10/10). It’s not about creating art or good music for them, it’s about trying to design a song that they think will chart. And songs like that will almost always lack in some way. So I hope this doesn’t become a pattern and the members retain their creative freedom and recognize that they definitely do not need to rely on those people for a hit (ofc unless the want to work with them).

Chapter 3 in the making

Traveling together to "film a show" was big (yes, this was to film a show, but we all know it was mainly to spend much needed time together, and if we didn't, let's be honest that we did, but if we didn't, then JK literally confirmed this for us in episode 1 of AYS). But back in 2023 when a public Jikook was a scarcity, left us with more question marks than anything else as to how this will actually be coming to fruition.

Enlisting together was HUGE. Like H U G E. Them being the only ones to do so not only within BTS but the first and only idols to do so. A choice made by the two of them. To do this together. With each other. Not with anyone else.

Are You Sure?! Do we need any words here? Like really? Because AYS was as loud as F$@&. No, seriously, idk what you want to call it, a soft launch, a smack in the noggin, whatever you do, it was quite clear to those who have eyes and a brain. With or without knowing who JM and JK are, their history, their culture. Louder to those who do know them.

Since their enlistment and even through Muse and AYS we got practically nothing from the two. Oh, we did have a couple of interesting pics from their basic training and graduation, a few pics from the unit, a shit ton of signatures, some more interesting than others (joint messages, pretty decorations...) and a few nice messages, but mostly silence from the two. This stood out even more so in comparison to the almost barrage we've been getting from NJ and Tae, both enlisted only a day before Jikook.

And then came December. With less than 6 months to go.

JK going live from his new place. Dare I say their new place? It's not like we haven't talked about this over the past 18 months. Speculating, wondering. But man (figure of speech y'all), these last couple of months, they are sure making me feel like what we saw as leaning to the delusional side or more so wishful thinking, ain't no delusion or wish, but more so a very possible reality to come.

But let's get back on track.

So, December gave us:

"We spend our free time together", "we sing together", "we sing while we shower daily together", not to mention JK's btw remark about seeking privacy away from others "to sing".

Then came JM in January with their "conversations before going bed" about "what kind of image we want to show" and "what kind of lives we will live moving forward".

And February rolls in and we think that we will be back to their silent treatment, but JK comes to us with a heartfelt message (they really feel the end and want out). But nothing prepared us for Hobi's birthday live and once again those two with their "we share a room" and "we have stories to tell, but not sure how much we actually can..." that won't scare us off, lol.

Funny how every single hysterical claim made by those who were hit so very hard by their joint enlistment has been shut down by the two of them by now!!

Anyway, do we see a pattern here? Can we call this a pattern? Is there more to come? Well, obviously there is post military service, but seeing as to how they have been in the past couple of months, I'm thinking that we will be getting more even before that.

I'm guessing that conclusion isn't a far fetched one, seeing what we got last night.

And OMG, that was another HUGE loud af Jikook statement.

So, several content producers/directors that were Hybe employees (directors of I am still, AYS and JM's production diary amongst others) have left the company to open their own company (Idk too much about the company they opened, but my guess is that they will continue working with Hybe as contractors rather than employees, but also allowing them to work with other companies and create their own content, including producing a new boy band). And they posted the congratulation they have received.

this is my second time writing a fanfic of an hsr character and my first time writing ratio!! i also can't think of a title LMAO

you love ratio, even if he can be such a blunt man— not that you're complaining. that's one of the things you adore about him.

but there is one thing he does all the time that really melts your heart.

his gentlemanly gestures.

one time, you and ratio had decided to visit a nearby (newly opened) cat cafe that you couldn't stop talking about. he couldn't refuse you, i mean how could he — when that brings a smile on your face?

just as you were about to take another step onto the sidewalks, ratio quietly switched places without you noticing.

"i can't wait to see the cats there! especially the ones with short, tiny legs— oh."

you stopped yourself from rambling when you turned to the side where ratio had been, only to find no one and nothing but houses and shops.

"i'm right here."

you immediately whipped your head to the other side, and to your surprise, he was indeed there.

since when did he get there?

you thought to yourself, then you noticed that he was now walking close to the road.

did he just...?

as you approach the entrance of the cafe, ratio reaches ahead to open the door, stepping aside with his hand on the knob to keep it open for you and your heart melts at the sight.

ratio stared at you with one of his eyebrows raised. "are you just going to stand there?"

his question quickly snapped you out of your daze.

you blinked once. twice. then thrice.

your heart skipped a beat in realization and your face heated up. before you knew it, you immediately rushed to the kitchen to wash the spoon, muttering a "i'll be back, i need to wash this first" before leaving the dining room with a trembling smile on your lips.

how can he be so calm and unbothered as if it's nothing?

walking with you and him being closer to the road. he never lets you walk close to it as if he wants to protect you (he actually does).

holding and opening doors for you before you can even touch or reach for them.

treating you and ordering foods and drinks on your behalf.

blocking the corner of the table to prevent you from bumping your head after crouching.

even holding your heels for you if they happen to hurt your feet! he also brings your flat shoes just in case!

aeons, at least have some mercy on your partner's heart!

ratio held back a smile at the sight of your flustered face, finding it utterly endearing.

After rewatching Camp Cretaceous (again) I concluded that Kash is definitely the most annoying and simultaneously the most boring villain of them all. And for those reasons only - I hate him the most.

Before you start throwing tomatoes at me hear me out.

Yes, Daniel Kon is the most cruel and awful of the bunch but he is also interesting to watch. He is complex and convincing. Yes, as a viewer we know that Daniel Kon is disgusting and manipulative and just evil, but he is also multi-layered, or rather - he pretends to be, and that makes him interesting to watch. Like... When will the mask shatter? Most of his scenes and moments with Kenji are very convincing. He is really good at twisting reality and manipulating his son while playing a loving father (or at least - as loving as Kenji imagines a father to be). It makes him interesting because he shows many faces - uses many "masks" to cover himself up.

Meanwhile this guy?

Right from the beginning we know that he is bad and stupid. Like yes, he is smart as in "he can make robots" but he is also comically stupid and not in the fun way - just in an annoying way. As a viewer we can pretty much predict all of his moves, he hardly ever pretends to be good, he doesn't really have any hidden motivations either (climbing up the ladder in Mantah Corp? Wow, groundbreaking). Kash is an evil person, cruel, sadistic, and completely lacking empathy, but all of these traits kind of fall flat because despite being smart he just lacks depth, he is not developed enough. The most interesting scenes with him are when he is accompanied by Darius and that's all Darius carrying (honestly Oscar winning performance btw).

So yeah, in my opinion Kash is just the most annoying villain of all. Very flat and just unconvincing. He is cruel but he doesn't feel like a threat to me? Even though I know that he almost murders Mae?? Does it make sense???

Hell, even Tiff and Mitch were more interesting because their interactions with each other differed from interactions with kids plus they tried to play a certain role to achieve their goals (at least for a couple of episodes). With Kash it's just. Look at this guy. He is a villain. And that's mostly all.

I also have a personal beef with his character design. Why is he the only character with tattoos? What message are we sending here huh? /jk

this is one of my bigger projects and also probs my first real one with more smut. it is about liam having issues with derealization & depersonalization after the war is over and just kinda being overwhelmed. everything is feeling more and more like it is not really happening to liam but to someone else. like a thick fog is around liam. he then starts sleeping with theo, which is the only time liam feels truly alive. but liam won’t admit it. he doesn’t want to admit that he has feelings fotr theo.

i don’t have a lot yet, mainly i am trying to work on the outline but here is a small snippet i did write out (at the beginning and still very much "enemies with benefits")

“Fuck you,” Liam spat again, shoving Theo back hard.

Theo only laughed, catching himself against the truck, eyes blazing with something darker, something more. “Make me.”

Liam crashed into him without thinking, mouth smashing against Theo’s in a bruising, punishing kiss.

It was teeth and tongue, all fury and fire. Theo groaned, fingers fisting in Liam’s jacket, pulling him closer until their bodies collided.

Liam bit down on Theo’s lower lip, tasting salt and want. Theo hissed but didn’t pull back—instead, he shoved Liam against the truck, mouth devouring his in return.

Their breathing was ragged, harsh pants mingling with the scrape of nails against skin. Liam hated how good it felt—how alive it made him feel.

Theo’s hands wandered, rough and sure, yanking Liam’s jacket off and tossing it aside. His nails scraped down Liam’s back, dragging a broken moan from his throat.

“Is this what you wanted?” Theo rasped, voice hoarse, lips slick and swollen.

“Shut up,” Liam gasped, yanking Theo’s head back by his hair and biting down on the curve of his neck. He hated how good Theo tasted, hated how Theo arched into the pain.

I think I worded my previous ask in a way that strayed far from what I was actually trying to ask. It wasn’t so much about attraction per se but about what Jungkook thinks about Tae as a person or other things he likes about him which he might find attractive not in a romantic way. (English is not my first language so I am having a hard time putting my thoughts into words)

Ok let me put it this way. If you knew absolutely nothing about Tae and all you had in order to learn a little about him was to listen to Jungkook talk about him, what would you learn about Tae? I feel like 90% of the time, we only hear Jungkook talk about how handsome Tae looks and it gets to a point where it stops meaning much because literally everyone under the sun calls Tae handsome all the time. This isn’t me saying I expect Jk to come say things like Tae is his air or the most important person to him. That’s not what I mean.

I have seen Jk talk about all the members in some way that gives me an idea of how he sees them but mostly Namjoon and Jimin. If I didn’t know Namjoon just by listening to the way Jk talks about him i would know he is the smartest, most insightful person ever and someone who Jk respects and highly looks up to. If I didn’t know Jimin and just had to listen to Jk talk about him, I would immediately know that Jk sees him as someone who is selfless, caring and kind, someone with an amazing personality and someone who is incredibly hardworking and determined-these were his words. A fansign from years ago where someone asked the members who they would date if they were girls or something of the sort and jk went on a whole rant about the kind of person Jimin is. I remember how Jk uses every opportunity to tell us how much he admires Namjoon and how much he looks up to him and how much of an influence he has been to him. They ask Jk to use one word to describe the members and he immediately says Jimin is thoughtful and considerate. Over the years you see interviews where he takes over and talks about how he thinks Jimin is the most hardworking and the one who set the highest standard for himself. He even goes ahead to explain how Jimin rarely slept and all. When you listen to stuff like this, you get an idea of the kind of person Jimin and Namjoon are but what do you learn when Jk talks about Tae? He is the most handsome person in the world? It just feels so shallow. Of course Jk must think Tae is a good person else he wouldn’t be friends with him and wouldn’t spend so much time with him but it just seems like on a deeper level, there isn’t much he has to say about Tae. You can still be friends with someone and love them and not necessarily have deep thoughts about them or who they are as people. Not saying this is the case with Taekook though. I just feel like the way we can clearly see how Jungkook sees some other members when he talks about them is the way we should be able to see it too with Tae and not in any explicit way and that is something I just don’t see.

Oh and I am a taekooker in the sense that I like them both individually and together, their dynamic is my favourite, jk is my bias btw. Sometimes I lean towards them being a couple but other times I’m not sure so I wouldn’t say I am a staunch taekooker but one who is still questioning?

I think your question should be: why haven’t we heard Jk talk as much about Tae as he has about Namjoon and Jm? Because… would you say he has no thoughts about Tae’s character at all? Would you say he is less close to Tae than to Namjoon? If anything last year showed that Tae and Jk are very close. I’m not much of a believer in things like ‘you can spend time together and still not be close’ or ‘they can be physically close but not mentally’. I think for how we have seen Tae and Jk throughout the years, the absolute base of their relationship is a close friendship.. and that’s paired with someone having good opinions of someone else.

I believe Jk’s actions show very much that he admires Tae. He looks at him in amazement. He praises him, he looks for his company and comfort, he is concerned about Tae at times, there’s basically years of evidence that show these two men are very connected.

So the question is.. why haven’t we heard Jk talk about Tae the way he does about Namjoon and Jm? I think the reason is obvious… and it’s twofold. For one, the company strategy imo is that Tae was marketed as the pretty face. Which… omg… absolutely the most beautiful man in the world if you ask me… but, they did not market him the same as they did Namjoon (leader), Jk (wonderchild), and Jm (a hard working, person of comfort). I feel Hobi and Jin are also left more in the background.. and Yoongi possibly somewhat more in the middle. If I were to be controversial… I’d say their answers about each other are thought out and meant to place a spotlight on whoever or whatever the company feels the spotlight should be on. That’s basic mediatraining for you.

The other thing, I think Jk and Tae are probably closeted. I think when they were found out the company put rules and boundaries in place, which also has an effect on how they talk about each other. It’s what my strategy would be.

I think though that perhaps your view isn’t totally correct? Jk is very often described as muscleman by all members, or as talented in general. Do we get to know him very well by what the others say? Do we really get to know any member actually well by what they say? Or do we get to know them better by watching them? By experiencing them for ourselves?

I'm already at work so I'm just going to rant for 5 minutes, so I can actually get something done today.

I laughed and smiled so much!!!

At first the show didn't seem as fun as I thought it would be, but... "Are you sure" REALLY is the appropriate title lmao.

Never in a million years did I expect Jimin's diarrhea to be the main plot. That was crazy. Poor guy, he was going through it. Pooping in public bathrooms is nasty.

And Jikook were so... it was so weird seeing them "alone" like that. They tease each other so much, and the play fighting and cuddling... Like when Jimin got into Jungkook's bed, they wrestled and then JK just pulled Jimin into bed and they brushed their teeth together... And when they cuddled in Jimin's bed in the morning...

Jungkook is really a kid at heart. Building a stone statue, running off to buy snacks, the eye exercise he does at night that he showed us on Weverse once lmao.

And he's sooooo hot. Like, he looked insanely handsome and hot the whole time. After falling in the water (hilarious btw)? Check. After a nap? Check. Wet from the rain? Double yes. I honestly didn't think I'd find him particularly attractive riding a motorcycle, but the way his clothes were clinging to his body, plus the sunglasses and exposed tattoos... Very hot. Him dancing in the rain, all casual and amazing? Very hot. He's so hot and stylish all the time, it's insane.

Pray for Jimin, our strongest soldier, who gave Jungkook butterflies when he grabbed his shirt.

Let's hope Jeju and Japan go better for Jimin though! Why did he keep eating heavy food on an upset stomach? He should've been eating plain rice and chicken, soup, drinking water, etc.

Jungkook had a breakfast, immediately followed by lunch, and then a dinner 2 hours later... And Wallmart pizza cannot be that good but it's like everything is a 5 star course for them, lmao.
