i have such a love for characters who descend into madness or villainy out of deep, deep empathy. characters who fundamentally cannot cope with the cruel realities they find themselves in and blow up about it in spectacular fashion. fallen angel type characters with tears of outrage in their eyes. characters who break before they bend, and break so badly they splatter blood all over their noble ideals. every variation on it gets me so good

In the past month, I’ve seen:

A “community cat” with a fractured jaw, respiratory distress, and massive hemorrhaging after being hit by a car

A kitten with one fractured leg, one severely lacerated, and another degloved (skin removed) with torn ligaments after being found in the street

A young cat unresponsive with an uncontrollably high fever due to a tick-borne disease

A beautiful, well-loved kitten who stopped breathing due to a suspected brain bleed and was unable to be revived while preparing for surgery to repair a shattered pelvis after being hit by a car

Again, all these happened in the past month. And these are just the really bad ones I can think of off the top of my head.

All these cats, except one, are now dead.

But yeah, free-roaming is good for cats. They know how to take care of themselves.

my prime use of social media for the past one and a half years was a private twitter account with two follows where I would post bullshit that NO ONE saw and I am so very not used to people being able to SEE and RESPOND to my posts, and when I ask for help people actually offer help. I got so used to saying whatever I wanted whenever I wanted that I just say things. Like I ask for help when I don't need/want it as a joke but I am realizing it's not a joke to others and they're gonna be nice and try to respond :')

Are Silver and Espio good parents? I'm sure Epsio has experience raising Charmy as he might know some basics.

They are fantastic parents! Sure, they're not perfect, they stumble and mess up sometimes, but their dedication is undeniable. And even then, they cover eachother's weak spots very, very well.

Espio is 100% the more capable parent, exactly because of what you mentioned with Charmy. He also just has a cooler head, which helps. Silver tries very very hard, but it just doesn't come as naturally to him. He still makes it work, though <3
