*cough* don’t imagine papyrus x reader please *cough*
Congrats on 200 btw! 🎈🎉📣
I ended up taking a few days off from these requests since I had run out of ideas but I'm back! Thank you! ʕっ•ᴥ•ʔっ
Don't imagine playing a few matches of your favourite online multiplayer game to wind down after work when you're matched with an interesting player. How he seems to have his microphone a bit too loud and how excited he is about mundane features in the game. How you can't help but cringe when he makes a joke that falls flat. How your other squadmates make a few snarky comments that he seems to ignore.
Don't imagine how he sounds a little unsure of himself when the match starts. How you feel a little bad since it's obvious that he's rather new to this game. How you finally turn on your own mic and give him a few suggestions. How you can practically hear the relief in his tone to hear a friendly voice.
Don't imagine hearing the utter surprise of your squadmates when he manages to take out half the enemy team on his own. How they compliment him and how ecstatic he sounds as he celebrates his accomplishment. How you feel so proud of him and how your squad wins thanks to his contributions.
Don't imagine sending him a friend request afterwards or how quick he is to accept. How you start playing together regularly and how his skill improves with each session. How you start to consider him as more than just a gaming buddy but a friend.
Don't imagine the day you ask if he'd like to try communicating outside of the game and how readily he agrees. How he sends you a friend request immediately after your gaming session ends. How you briefly wonder if this is a good idea before banishing that anxiety into the deepest corners of your mind.
Don't imagine messaging back and forth for hours on end. How on more than one occasion you end up laughing so hard that you can't breathe from something silly that he sent you. How you look forward to checking his timeline everyday just to see what he's up to. How you almost worry that your own life is boring by comparison.
Don't imagine the day you're carrying on a conversation with him when you suddenly realize that something's not right. How his punctuation and capitalization are non-existent. How he's frequently using abbreviations and typing in a much less formal way than he always does. How you quickly sus out that somebody has "borrowed" his phone and call them on it. How they fall silent for a suspicious amount of time before your friend abruptly calls you. How you can't help but laugh at his indignation as he explains that his brother stole his phone.
Don't imagine how you end up becoming friends with his brother too. How you both cook up a plan to surprise your friend. How you pretend that nothing is going on at all to his face and constantly lament that you live so far away.
Don't imagine making the journey across the country to meet your friend for the first time. How his brother picks you up from the airport and you have to force yourself to stay calm. Definitely don't imagine the shock and then pure unadulterated joy on his face when you arrive at their house. How he scoops you up and gives you a great big hug. How he nearly spins you around before apologizing for getting carried away. How you assure him that you really don't mind.

Goon Squad if they were streamers
Remy
Irl Streamer. Shows off his horse school, livestreams his centaurs competitions. Some educational videos about farming and animal care.
Lots of sponsorships, merch plugs. Most wholesome content
Leighton
Vtuber. Specifically middle aged man pretending to be an anime girl vtuber. Actually ends up with a massive audience and diehard stans. Merch deals and sponsorships start rolling in.
One day his rig fails and when he realizes, literally cries himself to sleep. Thinks he’s lost everything.
But he still has some loving (middle aged) stans that are willing to love him for who he is. Slowly starts phasing out the vtube and starts being himself. Then his fans see he’s a shit person and leave him anyways.
Alternatively ends up being “groomed” into being someone’s discord kitten.
Briar
Archetypal goon squad crafter. Thirst traps, sexually suggestive content abound. Somehow never gets banned.
Sells his bathwater, full nine yards.
Eventually his love of the attention leads him to cam sites. Little does he know his biggest stan is watching from his closet
Bailey
No cam, no mic streamer. Uses it as a stress release. Plays farm games and sims games, but very intensely.
Very controlling of his games. Fully maxxed perfect farms and 100s of generations of sims. Is so domineering may be giving himself more stress.
If he plays a multiplayer game with his audience, they can expect to be worked to the bone. Despite this, his audience is loyal and his icon gets lots of fan art.
Wren
Gambles on stream. Poker, online casinos, sports betting... not in a right wing streamer brainwashing their preteen audience kind of way, but in a someone please call the hotline kind of way.
Unfortunately he's in too deep to quit. Remy's just happy to see him working extra shifts.
Zephyr
Like Remy his online presence is surprisingly purehearted in intention
Runs 24/7 livestreams of the oceans directed at showing off wildlife. Unfortunately, deviant activities involving mermaids keep getting him banned.
Quinn
Tries to do day in the life streams, to engage with young voters. Unfortunately everytime something embarrassing happens. At first it was typical stuff like spilling his coffee or ripping his pants but eventually it turns into people trying to get clout by interrupting his streams
Eventually just gives up. The election is rigged anyway.

Mass Effect Vanguard Guide
Other Guides: Guide to Basic Infiltrating | Shield Gate and YOU | Adept Guide | Sentinel Guide | Soldier Guide |
First and foremost, this is exactly what it says: a guide. It is not the right way to play this class; it is a way that I have found very effective after well over a thousand hours spent running different builds and different classes in campaign and ME3 Multiplayer. If you build it differently and like your style better, great! If you are having fun, you’re doing it right.
But if you are struggling at all with the Vanguard class or don’t click with it, this guide might help you. The build, loadout, and strategy are designed with higher difficulties in mind. This kit can easily make quick work of insanity and is a lot of fun if you enjoy using your face as a weapon.
Tumblr media
THE BUILD
Shepard has 8 skill trees + a Bonus Power. At Rank 60, you can max out 8 skills and have enough points leftover to take the 9th to level 4. For this build, I recommend only taking Cryo Ammo to rank 4 (or skipping it entirely), and maxing everything else.
Prioritize Charge, Nova, Incendiary Ammo, Assault Mastery, and probably a few points in Fitness here and there.
Breakdown under the cut!
Incendiary Ammo: Incendiary ammo might be one of the most brokenly overpowered skills in the game. The explosive evolution adds a flat damage value vs. a percentage on every other shot, which is insane. On rapid fire weapons that do less damage per shot, like the Tempest or the Typhoon, you're basically doubling the amount of damage you're doing. Add the area of effect you get with the explosion? You're now inflicting this chaos on anyone else who’s nearby. Are you using a piercing mod (the answer should be yes)? You now have a shot at another roll for another explosion, because the damage call can pass through the armored target and torment the cannon fodder behind it. A piercing mod reduces the damage on your bullet, but not the explosion. This is super insane on shotguns, because you get a shot at the extra damage roll per pellet, not per shot. Shotgun blasts have multiple pellets per shot.
Have I mentioned that this is affected by increases in power damage? So any power damage increases you take in Assault Mastery make incendiary ammo better.
Rank 4 – Damage. To hell with your squad. I mean, your squad is amazing. But trust me, you want to be selfish with incendiary ammo. You can do so much more with it than your squad can.
Rank 5 – Are you handy with headshots? Take Headshot damage. Would you rather have more ammo capacity? Take Ammo Capacity. Whatever makes you happy.
Rank 6 – Explosive Burst. Always take explosive burst. There is no universe in which you want anything other than explosive burst.
Cryo Ammo: This is your dump stat. I don’t even put my leftover points in cryo ammo, because the circumstances in which you would choose cryo ammo over incendiary ammo do not exist, if you are going for maximizing damage. Cryo ammo is really nothing more than a debuff, and you know what’s better than a debuff? Killing it. Now, if you just want to snicker at enemies with a health bar freezing solid and toppling over, that’s different. 😊 But when it comes to higher difficulties, cryo ammo just doesn’t stand up to the effectiveness of other ammo powers.
Pull: Pull doesn’t provide nearly as much benefit as your other skills, so I suggest speccing into it last. It can, however, be a fun way to toy with mooks if you’re bored of scattering them like ninepins, and offer an alternative for dealing with Guardians if emptying a shotgun full of fire into their mail slot doesn’t quite do it for you. Pull will also prime biotic explosions. It’s not elegant, but you can do it.
Rank 4: Duration vs. Radius: I go for Radius, because as a Vanguard nothing stays alive long enough for duration to matter. But if you are having trouble with timing to get biotic explosions, you can choose Duration here.
Rank 5: Lift Damage vs. Expose: Go for Expose, which increases all damage to the target, including biotic detonations. Again, things don’t stay alive long enough for lift damage to do much for you.
Rank 6: Recharge Speed vs. Double Pull. DOUBLE PULL. Why would you choose one pull when you can have two? This skill already has one of the fastest recharge speeds in the game, so choosing recharge speed doesn’t gain you anything.
Biotic Charge: Biotic charge, of course, is the signature skill of the vanguard, and while there are plenty of playstyles you can use that don’t hinge on charge…why would you? Charge is stupidly fun. You can be reckless, silly, and stupid, and no one can stop you. You’ll make so many things explode you can hear colors. There isn’t a problem your face can’t solve, unless the problem is on a platform out of bounds.
Charge is also a detonator power, which means you can set up biotic explosions by painting a target with warp, reave, dark channel, and even pull, and then slamming your face into it. Charge will also create a fire explosion when you ram your face into something that’s on fire from incinerate or….incendiary ammo. Hey, who has incendiary ammo and can make their own fire explosions? VANGUARDS.
Rank 4: Force & Damage vs. Radius. Dealer’s choice. Do you want to smash for face against one thing with all the force? Or smash your face against all the things with less force? ME3 tends to emphasize cannon fodder over high tier enemies, so if you’re a little shy about running straight into the arms of a banshee and prefer to use yourself as a bowling ball into a pile of husks, go for radius. Otherwise, go for damage.
Rank 5: Weapon Synergy vs. Power Synergy. For most playstyles, power synergy is what you want here, especially if you like to spam Nova, as power synergy makes your nova hit harder. However, if you prefer to charge into something and then stick your shotgun down its throat to set it on fire with fire bullets, take weapon synergy.
Rank 6: Bonus Power vs. Barrier: I recommend barrier here, because the number one problem vanguards have is not giving a fuck, and having charge give you your shields back when not giving a fuck lands you in a sticky situation will generally save your life. Also, the cooldowns on this kit are so fast you really don’t benefit that much from randomly getting a free one to justify giving up those shields you really need because nova.
Shockwave: Shockwave is another detonator for biotic explosions, and it’s a handy mid-range attack when you’re stuck in cover or don’t want ravager goo all over your face.
Rank 4: Force & Damage vs. Radius: Shockwave’s biggest weakness is its short reach, so I choose radius here. NOTE: In the Original Trilogy, this skill is bugged on PC. Choosing radius actually causes this skill to do ZERO damage. So if you are playing OT on PC, choose Force. This bug appeared to be fixed in LE when I tested it.
Rank 5: Detonate vs. Reach: While reach would be great, because again, range is this skill’s biggest shortcoming, detonating combos is what makes shockwave so good. I recommend detonate, unless you find yourself not using it for explosions.
Rank 6: Recharge vs. Lifting Shockwave: Either one will work here, really. Lifted shockwave is cute, and can help you set up explosions, so I tend to choose it.
Nova: The companion skill to Charge! A lot of people are afraid of Nova because it depletes your shields. But I encourage you to practice with it, because if you get comfortable with the pattern of charge + nova + shoot it on fire until it’s dead, there isn’t much of anything a vanguard can’t handle.
Tumblr media
Yes, even banshees.
Rank 4:  Force and Damage vs. Radius: You can choose either here, though I will give the lean towards force and damage. If something manages to evade the radius, stick a fire shotgun down their throat to make them think about what they’ve done.
Rank 5: Power Recharge vs. Half Blast: I recommend power recharge here, because decreasing the effectiveness of nova means it dies slower, and Power Recharge speed increases your recharge speed by 25% across the board for 15 seconds. That means CHARGE recharges faster. Which means you can lock yourself in a continuous loop of faster recharge by charging and nova-ing until everything is dead. Remember, this kit does not have a grenade power because SHEPARD is the grenade. Realize your full potential and blow everything up.
Rank 6: Pierce vs. Sustain: Don’t be tempted by Sustain, and the allure of sometimes not using up your barrier. Choose Pierce. Not only does this make you more effective vs. Armor and Barriers, but also shields, which is something biotics aren’t great at. If you feel naked without your shields, remember you have a FIRE GUN that can protect you until Charge is primed and ready to give you your shields back, and Rank 5 means that recharge is faster.
Assault Mastery: Here’s where things get stupid. Assault Mastery makes all your badass shit even more badass.
Rank 4: Damage vs. Influence & Force: I understand that the Influence bonus is really attractive here, but we’re focusing a build that services combat, not story, and Damage brings you to a 20% power bonus vs. the 10% if you choose I&F. Remember, power damage not only affects your biotic powers, but also your ammo power. Remember how stupid Incendiary Ammo is? This makes it stupider.
Rank 5: Squad Bonus vs. Weight Capacity: Be selfish. Your squad is great, but Shepard is a god, and do you know how your make gods even more badass? Let them bring heavier guns.
Rank 6: Shotgun Damage vs. Power Intensity: Even if you primarily use a shotgun and don’t rely heavily on powers, the 20% power damage bonus from Power Intensity is better, because it also applies to Incendiary Ammo. And it gives you the freedom to use other guns if you want to.
Fitness: Let’s make this short and sweet: As a vanguard, you are not punching things with your fists, you are punching things with your face, so for ranks 4, 5, & 6, go Durability, Barrier Recharge, and Durability.
Bonus Power: I recommend any biotic power that sets up combos, since setting up combos is what Vanguards are not great at. Between Reave and Dark Channel, I prefer reave, because you can paint multiple targets, it staggers the target, it stacks, and it gives you damage reduction. I do NOT recommend Flare. While it is a really cool power, it has a painfully slow recharge speed, and vanguards need to move fast.
Reave:
Rank 4: Duration vs. Radius: I choose radius, to paint more targets. It’s not gonna live long enough for duration to matter.
Rank 5: Damage Reduction vs. Recharge Speed: The recharge speed is a little painful, so if you aren’t having trouble staying alive, you can choose it. If you’re dying, damage reduction will help.
Barriers & Armor vs. Damage & Duration: You can go either way here, but I prefer Barriers & Armor, because you can fire a reave at a banshee and then ignore her while you go bowling with the cannon fodder. When all your toys are dead, you can then ram your face into the banshee so she explodes.
The Weapons
The weight capacity bonus you can get from Assault Mastery means Shepard can be this powerful and carry some REALLY good guns. I recommend weapons with a high rate of fire to take advantage of Incendiary Ammo. Shotguns are the obvious choice, but any weapon with a high rate of fire that keeps you close to or at a 200% cooldown is good.
My favorites are the Piranha and the Hurricane, the latter of which can take advantage of a power mag bonus. But since you are already giving up a valuable mod slot for the power mag, if you need a stabilizer to use it comfortably, I’d recommend going with something else. The Talon is a good choice because it is lightweight, fires quickly enough, and it has a damage bonus to shields and barriers. Basically, it’s a pocket shotgun. The Reegar is a weapon that can be REALLY dumb, since it melts shields, and it benefits from a piercing mod, but its drawback is that it is very short range on a class that already struggles at range. If you want to use it, I suggest the piercing and thermal clip mods.
Speaking of the range issue. I have two words for you: The Indra.
The Indra is an automatic sniper rifle, one of the absolute best weapons in the game, and Shepard can carry it and STILL HAVE A 200% COOLDOWN. Also? It costs 10k credits on the Citadel at the beginning of the game. Is it counterintuitive to carry a sniper rifle on a Vanguard? Yup. Is it immersion breaking? Possibly. But remember, this is a combat guide, not a story guide. Put the Indra on Shepard with Incendiary Ammo, and congrats! You are now invincible.
How to Play
Vanguard is a high risk/high reward class. It’s designed to play fast and at close range, so if you are trying to play it like an adept, you might not get good results. Get comfortable playing with your shields down (you’ll get them back with the next charge), don’t be stingy with medigel, and don’t fret too much about top tier enemies like phantoms and banshees. You might occasionally get sync killed, but truthfully, your damage output is so high you can often stagger them out of their murderous intent. Even turrets can’t stand up to this kit:
youtube
Turn on incendiary ammo the moment you load into a mission and leave it on. I suggest mapping charge, nova, and reave (if it’s your bonus power) to the hotkeys so you don’t have to use the power wheel for each, and make it a muscle memory. Charge everything. Nova with impunity. Shoot everything that isn’t dead until they’re on so much fire they wish they were. Use the power wheel to pause the game and get your bearings or figure out what’s shooting you. Use your squadmates to either strip shields or set up biotic explosions. Use and abuse combat roll to get out of trouble if charge is on cooldown. If you’re about to die, charge first, then medigel. Reload canceling is your friend. (If you are not familiar with reload canceling, I plan to make a post about it.)
A vanguard should rarely stop moving, except for the occasional stint behind cover to regroup, reload your gun, or set up an explosion. If you stop charging, you’ll probably die.
This class is a hell of a lot of fun if you let it off the chain and go hog wild. Don’t be afraid to die. Taking the risk – even if it doesn’t pay off all the time – helps you get comfortable with the batshit playstyle if it’s not something you’re used to.
I love all the Mass Effect classes, but this one is my favorite because this is how I really love to play the game. I hope this guide helps!

(Hi I saw a ask of "list of board games and why they're banned" with the reasons being one of the squad members and you made up your own elaboration fir it. If I'm wrong sorry)
List of multiplayer video games and who's banned from them
Call of duty: soap
Minecraft: roach
Dead by daylight: gaz
Halo: gaz, ghost
Mario party: ghost
Fallout 76: price
Soap gets way too into COD. He’s in character the entire time, playing like he’s on an actual battlefield. He fucking hates campers and screaming twelve year olds who cry that he’s hacking when he takes them out. He’s usually screaming and cussing everyone out. Just one bad attitude away from throwing the controller at the TV.
Roach is a menace in Minecraft. Little shit doesn’t grief or kill someone’s dog, but he does steal your shit. He has a whole elaborate maze of a base connected to caves, mine shafts, ravines— He knows where everything is but you will get lost. Soap actually thought he could grief his base and get away with it. Oh no, Roach spawned several Withers and just went offline afterwards. The entire server was just deleted because the Withers were destroying everything.
Gaz will fuck you up if he plays the killer in DBD. He is scary good at playing the killer. If he’s a survivor he’s either actually trying to fix generators or he’s snitching on where everyone is hiding. There’s no in between.
Gaz and Ghost CANNOT play together if they play Halo. They try to sabotage each other the entire time. If they’re on opposing teams they aim to kill only each other, fuck everyone else. Ghost is running at Gaz with an energy sword at every opportunity. He doesn’t care if his team wins or lose, he’s going to take out Gaz. Gaz hijacks a warthog and repeatedly runs down Ghost until Ghost quits the game and comes after him in real life.
Ghost hates/loves Mario Party. He always plays Princess Peach and if someone else picks her he will rage. He’s either good at the mini games or is sucking ass. Steal a star from him? Your ass is grass.
Price doesn’t play many video games but he likes Fallout 76. He actually is at a pretty high level when the boys ask to play with him. He immediately takes them to a high level enemy and watches them get destroyed. What else is a loving father supposed to do?

imagine a digimon survive influencer/streamer au
I have a feeling Takuma and Saki would be great influencers as adults
would that really need to be an au I mean they are teenagers in 2020 XD
Minoru would have too much online presence. He has an action figure review channel. He posts pictures of himself with cool plants and freaky bugs and animals. He's a streamer. He makes comedy skits on <insert social media that's hip with the kids now>.
Saki lowkey being the Eiji Oji (twewy character) of their universe like she says a place is good and now everyone is going there.
What does Takuma do? Is he just like Hasan Piker (real person) or something lafdjakj
or idk if it was like full full au like the kemonogami thing never happened and they're just like people who meet first online through collabs and stuff
no idea how their different interests would lead them to each other but it'd be funny
well I mean obviously the kids from the same schools know each other and the literal siblings know each other but you know what I mea--
WAIT
I said siblings meaning Miu and Kaito at first but now I just
Professor Akiharu Minase somehow having an online presence and befriending everyone even in an au is so funny to me. Squad dad that everyone lovingly calls Gramps XD
What would that even make Miyuki would she like still be a kid and just be like an adopted daughter or something or would she just also be old lakfdja au with old lady Miyuki XD
Kaito is just Miu's overly aggressive mod that everyone has interacted with, but no one knows what he looks or sounds like. He simply An Entity to them for the longest time before they all start getting closer.
Kinda love the idea of some of them interacting irl without knowing it's the others because not all of them use their real faces and names. Like Shuuji and Aoi being friends online but also going to the same high school (randomly inserting personal hc that Aoi would go to Shuuji's high school after junior high since they're both honor students lmao) and maybe even being in a club together and just NOT connecting the dots. God them talking about each other TO each other would be hysterical.
What would they even do? Study tip instagram? Baking tutorial youtube channel? Cursed ASMR channel? Booktok????Are they both secretly gamers outside of school?
Or Minoru dragging Takuma to this weird middle of nowhere town that he heard about with a cool shrine that he wants to check out for a video. Just,,,them running into Miu and Kaito ("hey you're locals, right? Could you show us where the shrine is?") and the siblings recognize them bc they do totally post pics of themselves but they do not recognize the siblings whose faces they've never seen. Just casually being impromptu tour guides to the online besties and being too awkward to admit they know them.
Ryo somehow always ends up at the grocery store or the post office or doctor or whatever at the exact same time as Saki or Minoru and eventually they start to recognize him NOT as the guy they play <insert online multiplayer game that is hip with the kids these days. is it still fortnite? do the kids play league anymore? maple story?????> with but as the guy who keeps staring at them like he's seen a ghost when they're at the grocery store or the post office or doctor or whatever.
It'll be so funny when they eventually all finally arrange to meet in person. A lot of "ooooooh" and "YOU?!?!?!"

Alpha Betas episode ideas
In my last pic I talked about how I believe the Alpha Betas web series should be given another chance as it had the potential of being a good series but was the victim of bad timing.
I’m happy to say that it was recently brought to my attention that a while ago the VA for Mason (who is also a director and producer of the show) stated that there has been talks about doing stuff with the show, so there is some hope it could return one day! Until then I’m going to help spread the word about the series by making content about it.
I thought I start by making a list of ideas for episodes the series could have if it ever returns. Spoilers ahead for those who haven’t watched the first season yet, but luckily all the episodes are available to view on YouTube so I recommend checking them out.
Rated E for Eat S#$@- Alpha Team has to deal with a problem in a family friendly kids game, which they hate as it’s really simple and boring to them. Mason (the weapons expert) takes it the worse since he can’t use guns in it, while the others are able to at least use their talents to a degree, which Buck makes fun of Mason for. It would be interesting to see him try to prove to the others that he is more than the weapon’s guy.
Alpha Bravo Tango- Before it was written out, it sounded like there was going to be a plotline where Alpha Team would have to secretly deal with another team of gamers called Bravo Team. Now at the beginning of episode 2 Allision made it sound like they were among the other dead teams, but I could see a few ways to bring the original Bravo Team back, one simple way is that they really messed up on a job and were fired before the main story of season 1.  I’d also be okay with an entire new team but still.
Either way Bravo Team’s main goal in the series is to aid Alpha Team during bigger missions, and to prove to Allison that they are better than Alpha Team and deserve to replace them.
I could see this leading to a 2-episode story where a multiplayer only game is acting up, so both Alpha and Beta Team are sent in to fix the problem, but because the teams dislike each other they mess up the simple task, and now have to actually work together in order to save the day.
Gamer girl, I mean woman, I mean female- The title is based on a joke from the pilot.
One of the team members is sick and because she is knowledgeable about the game causing trouble and Bravo Team is busy with something else, Ruby (the lady who runs the equipment that sends Alpha Team into games, and who Eddie has a crush on) has to go into the game to help.
It would be interesting to see Ruby fighting alongside Alpha Team instead of just giving them support/commentary. Maybe as a result of her adventure she will get a slight understanding on why they act the way they do; she still thinks they are immature idiots but oddly respects them a bit more. I also see such an episode being filled with jokes about gamers girls and about what guys think gamer girls are like, but I mostly could see some ship moments happening between her and Eddie.
Alpha Red vs. Omega Blue- Continuing the idea of Ruby being a gamer, I could see her befriending several other gamer girls and forming a gaming squad called Omega that becomes popular online. Unknown to Ruby, these girls are saboteurs/anarchist and are trying to take down parts of the U.S. energy grid for reasons which leads to a confrontation with Alpha Team.
I could see this being a continuing storyline in the series as we see Ruby slowly realize what is going on.
Government mandated gaming tournament- In the pilot it was implied that other parts of the world power their countries via video games and occasionally they would attack another countries’ systems. What if secretly, governments from the around the world partake in video game tournaments as a way to settle certain problems without actual bloodshed and this time Alpha Team is being sent to participate.
Console War 3- The next generation of consoles are coming out and one hacker obsessed with a certain console series is determined to make his console the best, so he causes chaos through a popular FPS game about World War 3 in hopes people will switch consoles. Of course this would be bad for energy grids around the world so Alpha Team deals with this, but they soon start to argue about which of the upcoming consoles is better, districting them from completing the mission.
Grand Tommy Auto- While Tommy is an expert in controlling vehicles in video games, he canonically can’t actually drive them in real life. That sucks for him as his gear gets damaged before a mission, and now has to use devices based on the mechanics of a real car to control a vehicle needed to save the day. Will Tommy learn how to properly drive to save the day, or will his friends and part of the world be doomed?
Punk Spunc- After a mission, a virus infects Spunc, Alpha Teams AI buddy, causing him to act up and go rouge. Alpha Team has to find a way to cure Spunc before Steven (who hates Spunc) destroys him.
Body swap like episode- Since Alpha Team uses unique machinery to enter video games, there obviously needs to be such an episode. I could see this happening during a mission where they are permanently locked in as a certain class/character from the game that they personally specialize in. Something happens in the real world that messes with the machinery which somehow causes Alpha Team to switch bodies in the game, and now they have to learn how to handle using their new classes before it is too late.
Freemiumdeddon- Alpha Team has to deal with a freemium game on the fritz, but this becomes a personal mission of vengeance for Buck. He once was addicted to a freemium game and it almost ruined his life so while facing the problem with the others, he secretly tries to destroy the game and prevent others from suffering what he went through, which could just be as dangerous. They should have the freemium game be a Sea of Thieves/Skull & Bones parody just so they have the excuse to have Buck go all Captain Ahab XD.
Gaming Community vs. T.B.A.G.- With Alpha Betas being a M rated series about video games, there would totally be jokes about tea-bagging in it, but I had a different idea related to it.
Not all threats to the Energy Division are from video games on the fritz or hackers, as I could see Alpha Team and the other members of the Energy Division having to deal with an organization in the real world called T.B.A.G. “Tough Beings Against Games”, whose goal is to ban all video games.
I could see having such an enemy have moments throughout the series that foreshadow that the group is not what it seems, but more on that later.
Dating Reality or Dating Simpulator- Steven falls for an NPC from a videogame that was discontinued and destroyed for being too buggy, but he saves her before she got deleted for good and puts her in a female robot body. The NPC has trouble getting use to the real world and, of course, goes on a rampage causing the others to try and stop her. I say at the end some of the characters are able to save the NPC and she and Steven are able to stay together, as Steven does deserve some happiness. Either that or she becomes attracted to Spunc, making Steven made, which is admittedly kind of funny XD. Maybe that last thing could be an alternate ending.
Eddie’s Game- This would be a multi episode story that would also count as the series finale, as I could see Alpha Betas having 2-3 more seasons if it ever comes back, which I’d be okay with.
For those who haven’t seen the pilot or the first season there are aliens in the series, and (major spoilers for the season 1 finale) the wife (named Lisa) of the evil alien Alpha Team killed was able to escape from Area 51 thanks Alpha Team freeing her for fun. I could see Lisa wanting revenge and plans on destroying Earth for killing her husband and keeping her locked up for so long.
I would make it so it was revealed that since she couldn’t attack directly at first, Lisa had to recruit others to help her. Here we find out she was the true leader of T.B.A.G. and used the organization to weaken the world enough for her forces to attack, and that one of the members of Omega was working for her. Apparently Lisa and her husband had daughters so maybe said Omega member was one of them in disguised.
However again gamers are the answer to saving the day as governments of the world have made war machines that can be controlled by gamers like jets/spaceships, boats, and maybe a parody of that mech from Overwatch. With this and a lot of previous character working together, they combat the aliens with Eddie being the leader as he develops a grudge towards Lisa during the story. I also could see a joke where Lisa’s other daughter appears out of nowhere wanting to help the humans stop her revenge obsessed mom and sister and shows them a weakness to her mom’s fleet, resulting in the others making a semi 4th wall breaking joke where they point out how convenient all of this is.
Of course they defeat the fleet and Lisa, but Eddie and a few other characters spare Lisa and just tells her and her daughters to leave and never return, as they know this isn’t a game. The series wraps up with the world now knowing video games power the world (angering gamers for doing it for free) so the world decide to look for alternate means for energy. Alpha Team is disbanded but unlike last time, Eddie is okay with it especially since at this point he and Ruby have gotten together. The guys still manage to hang out through games and I could see Steven hanging out with them too.
Maybe there could be an alternate ending to the finale where Eddie kills Lisa and we see a slightly different epilogue, referencing games that have multiple different endings.
If I could come up with all of these ideas, imagine what could happen with a full team of writers working on the show. I really hope it will come back one day and if you think so too, then favorite Alpha Betas content like this and help spread the word.
What kind of stories could you see happening in Alpha Betas if it was to return?

After a lifetime of having very low-end PCs it's really strange to install a game other than The Sims and see that it runs in "EPIC" graphics mode, it's great to have a joy for once ;_;
Btw I play this game with my friends @revsm (his account doesn't exist anymore but in the first two screenshots the other avatar near mine is his avatar) @justneilio (not in the screenshot because I couldn't find them in the game today (we were doing different quests)) and @gingersimmerr (who hasn't played yet)
I missed playing a multiplayer game with the squad 🥹

Landscapes with Attitude: A Guide to Game Biome Design in Yoniversia
Gather 'Round, Folks! So, me and my kiddos, not to forget my better half, have been cookin' up somethin' real special for over a year now. Yep, you guessed it - we're in the game makin' business! Picture this: a multiplayer, wide-open world game mixin' survival with a dash of good ol' farming. And hey, don't you worry, it's all kid-friendly, spreadin' the gospel of livin' in harmony with nature and keepin' the rough stuff at bay.
Now, here's the kicker: we're all about makin' things look real pretty. Think eye-poppin' visuals, explorin' like it's a grand adventure, and puttin' together the coolest crafts since kindergarten. So, what's the scoop? We're spillin' some beans on what's cookin' in the game pot, and we're all ears for your two cents. Bring on the wisdom, the tips, and if you got any constructive criticism, don't be shy! Let's make this game as awesome as a double rainbow after a summer storm!
Tumblr media
Listen up, folks, 'cause we've got a world split into these here biomes, each packin' their own set of fancy game tricks, a bunch of goodies, critters big and small, landscapes that'll make your jaw drop, and a whole heap of gameplay twists. But hold on to your hats 'cause that's not all - these spots are all woven into one big tale with levels of tricky that'll keep you guessing.
Blossom Hollow
Tumblr media
First off, let's take a stroll through Blossom Hollow. Yep, you heard me right, it's like a crater from a volcano that had its heyday. But guess what? It's turned into a flower-packed paradise. Now, ain't that somethin'? These ain't just your regular old flowers, mind you. These babies are giant, like 'bout-to-take-over-the-world giant. And they've got this nifty trick up their petals - they give life and, believe it or not, immortality. And guess where our hero pops up? Right smack dab in the middle of one of those massive blooms. Ain't life a bloomin' surprise?
Now, let me tell y'all 'bout Blossom Hollow's guardian angel, a little chit-chattin' raccoon named Eric. This critter's got a bigger ego than a rooster at sunrise, callin' himself the grand poobah, the head honcho, the numero uno of the Scout Squad. Yep, he's the proud founder, the heart and soul, the one and only member of the Guardians of the Garden Club. This guy, he's got a heart as big as his bravado, takin' care of this flowery haven like it's his own.
But hold onto your hats 'cause there's trouble brewin'. Lately, some giant thorny bad boys decided to crash the party. They're like the rude neighbors that move in next door and trash the place. Yep, you guessed it, these prickly fellas are takin' over the joint, givin' the local flora a run for their money.
Heartlands
Tumblr media
Alright, now let's mosey on over to the Heartlands, also known as the Central Plains. Picture this: it's like the world's biggest backyard, smack dab in the middle. These open, flat lands are the safest spot in the entire world - we're talkin' secure like a bank vault. Now ain't that a cozy thought?
Here, you'll find all sorts of peace-lovin' critters, just chillin' out and waitin' to be your new best friend. Yep, you heard me, they're all ready for a little taming action.
Tumblr media
Now, pay attention, 'cause if you've got dreams of runnin' your own farm, this here's your ticket to paradise. It's like a starter pack for all you future farmers. Easy access to anywhere, thanks to its prime location, and ain't it just perfect for gettin' your hands dirty and plantin' those seeds? Trees are like rare gems, grass taller than your uncle's stories, and hills? Well, they're just scattered around like small talk at a family reunion. Not to mention, a couple of big rivers flowin' through these parts. So saddle up, partner, 'cause the Heartlands are callin' your name!
Bramblewood
Tumblr media
Now, gather 'round, 'cause I've got a tale to spin about a forest that's been around since Merlin was a schoolboy. We're talkin' ancient, folks, with magic drippin' off its branches like honey from a comb. Imagine this: thickets so dense they make a haystack look like a lace doily. And hey, there's no shortage of babbling brooks with their fancy fringes, addin' a touch of class to the place.
But here's where it gets juicy - inside this fantastical forest, the secret trails are like a riddle wrapped in a mystery, smothered in thorns. Those prickly bushes hide critters meaner than a rattlesnake with a toothache, just waitin' to pounce on unsuspecting wanderers. You might be strolling, hummin' a tune, and bam! Nature's surprise party comes callin' with teeth and claws.
Tumblr media
But hold on tight, 'cause there's a twist in this twist. Hidden deep within these thorny thickets, treasures glint brighter than your Aunt Mabel's prized crystal and artifacts as magical as Uncle Joe's tall tales after a couple of whiskeys. Now, before you waltz into this mystical maze, better pack a mean axe 'cause this place ain't for the faint-hearted. So gear up, sharpen your wits, and let's see if you've got what it takes to face the enchantment of Bramblewood!
"Stonevault Plateau - Where Even the Rocks Are Feeling Airborne
Tumblr media
Hold on to your broomsticks, 'cause we're talking about a place where walking just won't cut it. You'll need a dash of flight magic, a sprinkle of water-walking, or a good ol' fashioned aquatic pal to get around this joint.
Now picture this: a plateau that's as stony as your grandpa's one-liners, peppered with all sorts of natural karst bathtubs. It's like Mother Nature decided to treat herself to a spa day and left the tubs behind. But that's not all - the land's like a patchwork quilt of stone, blending seamlessly with nooks, crannies, and secret hidey-holes. And in this one-of-a-kind spot, you'll find creatures that pack a punch, meaner than a bull in a china shop.
Tumblr media
Now, let's get practical, 'cause to navigate this wonderland, you'll need some real finesse in the jumping department, or maybe even a smidge of high-level magic to boot. Yeah, you heard me right - all those hours spent leaping over mushroom platforms in your younger days might finally pay off. But here's the kicker, amidst all the danger, this place is like a treasure chest. Rich in resources, and hiding some of the mightiest magic artifacts you've ever seen. So strap on your flight goggles, grab your water wings, or hitch a ride on a trusty swim buddy, 'cause Stonevault Plateau ain't for the faint-hearted, but it sure ain't no dry spell either!"
Coral Shores - Where Sand Meets Secrets
Tumblr media
Let me spin you a tale of a sprawling sandy shore, my friends. Once upon a time, this very spot was the ocean's floor, but as time danced on, the waves pulled back their curtain, revealing massive caves sculpted by coral and polyps.
Now, let's talk monsters, and no, I ain't talkin' 'bout your nosy neighbor. Every now and then, colossal creatures come ashore, and trust me, takin' 'em on solo is like tryin' to outdance a tornado. If you're aiming for victory, it's time to call in the reinforcements - that's right, rally your buddies, 'cause teamwork makes the dream work.
Tumblr media
But hold onto your controllers, folks, 'cause there's more magic brewin'. These are just a sneak peek of the stops on our game's world tour, and let me tell ya, there's a whole buffet of excitement waitin' ahead. We're ready for your wisdom, your feedback, and if you got any advice to sling our way, bring it on!
P.S. Keep your eyes peeled for the next post, where I'm slicing off the promo bits and diving straight into that "first view" of gameplay. Get ready, 'cause it's gonna be a ride through the basics of game design and balancing that's gonna make your joystick jiggle!

The Spell Brigade: Coming Soon to Steam Deck and Linux
Tumblr media
The Spell Brigade due to release its action roguelike online co-op game, playable on Linux and Steam Deck via Windows PC first. Thanks to the talented creativity of Bolt Blaster Games. Due to unleash its fury in Steam Early Access. Get ready to crack open that dusty old spell book you found in your grandma’s attic because The Spell Brigade is due to release. Bolt Blaster Games has finally announced the release date for their chaotic, fast-paced bullet-heaven title. It's all coming to Steam on September 16th. And we have a native support update.
We would love to add Linux support down the line! We're now focusing on the launch and ensuring everything goes well. We're also making sure that it runs great on the Steam Deck on the Early Access launch as a first step.
Thanks to Bolt Blaster's email, we know they’re still working on a native Linux port. For now, though, they're supporting Steam Deck through Proton during the 8 months of Early Access. Not a bad workaround, especially since it's a Unity title, so The Spell Brigade is due to run smoothly.
The Spell Brigade is due to hit Early Access soon
youtube
Whether you're teaming up with your friends or jumping in solo, this title brings wild online co-op action roguelike for 1-4 players. And here’s the kicker: friendly fire is always on, so expect some accidental (or not-so-accidental) spell-slinging at your teammates. It's all in good fun, though. Nothing beats some laughs with your squad while dodging spells and monstrous enemies.
What to expect:
Survivors-style Gameplay with a Multiplayer Twist:
You and your crew will face off against waves of bizarre monsters, unlocking new spells and leveling up as you fight to survive. The more you work together in The Spell Brigade, the more powerful you are due to become. But don't forget to watch where you're aiming, or you might blast your friends instead of the enemies!
Team-Based Combat:
You’ll be forming your own spell-slinging brigade, exploring dangerous areas together. The teamwork element is real, but with friendly fire on, there will definitely be moments where things get a little… chaotic. Luckily, magic (and a bit of friendship) means even the worst mishaps can be fixed.
The Spell Brigade is Customizable due in the Spell System:
The Spell Brigade is due to let you find and upgrade spells as you play. No two games are the same because you can mix and match different spell elements for wild, unpredictable combos. With multiple wizards on your team, the chaos factor goes through the roof – and that’s what makes it awesome. So, mark your calendar for September 16th, since we are due to jump into The Spell Brigade. Whether you’re blasting enemies or accidentally taking out your friends, one thing’s for sure: the action roguelike is going to be a spell-casting party full of wild fun. Coming to Linux and Steam Deck, for now, with Windows PC on Steam Early Access.

Dynamic Villains and Engaging Backstories: Monaghan Shines as the Ultimate Nazi Creep
Vanguard is like most Call of Duty games—split into three main vibes. You’ve got a bunch of stuff to dive into: an epic campaign, some lit multiplayer action, and the thrill of blasting Nazi zombies to bits. If you’re looking to get in on the action, you might want to buy Xbox games to experience all these features firsthand. The campaign tells the tale of Task Force 1 trying to uncover a Nazi secret called Project Phoenix towards the end of WWII. It’s got this cool back-and-forth thing going on, with missions and flashbacks that show how the Task Force 1 squad became legends. Each character gets two missions, and the game kicks off and wraps up with full Task Force 1 missions. Even though Task Force 1 has six peeps, only four—Arthur, Polina, Lucas, and Wade—are hyped up as the main characters and Operators in multiplayer. The other two kinda get sidelined, but the whole squad is dope. They’ve got this solid team vibe that makes them feel real. You’ll catch them vibing together, throwing shade, and diving into their backstories, making the campaign super engaging. Dominic Monaghan’s Jannick Richter is the ultimate bad guy, a total Nazi creep who’s up against our heroes. Even with a gun in his face, you never really doubt that Task Force 1’s got the upper hand. Monaghan nails the villain role, bringing a genuinely unsettling performance as he toes the line of evil, disses Arthur with racist vibes, and starts questioning if his loyalty is worth it.
Tumblr media
Engaging WWII Story with Familiar Gameplay in Call of Duty Vanguard
Vanguard’s campaign is pretty straightforward and cinematic, with no collectibles, side quests, or choices to make, which makes it a good option if you’re looking to buy PS5 games that offer a more streamlined experience. Some levels open up a bit, but you’ll quickly hit the limits and be rerouted to the main path. Cranking up the difficulty just makes enemies tougher and you easier to take down, stretching out the nine missions a bit but not changing much. You’ll get some epic moments, like jumping between two trains speeding through Nazi Germany or blowing up aircraft carriers in the Pacific. The war scenes and character stories are well-paced, even if the campaign is on the shorter side. What really pops in Vanguard’s campaign is the story and characters, offering a fresh, character-driven take on WWII. But gameplay-wise, it’s nothing new—we’ve seen this kind of action before. It’s not a bad thing, but the campaign feels like it’s just ticking off the “Yep, it has a campaign” box.
New Mounting Mechanics with Control Tweaks in Call of Duty Vanguard
Vanguard is a whole vibe compared to Treyarch’s Call of Duty style that’s all about pushing forward, but it doesn’t quite hit the same notes as Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare, even though it runs on the same tech. Coming off Black Ops Cold War, I got totally wrecked trying to play Vanguard like it was a speedy action fest. Vanguard’s fast-paced too, but its map design and destructible stuff—like walls, doors, and cover—call for a bit more strategy. Sometimes you get taken out from the sides or behind, especially on certain maps, while others stick to the classic three-lane setup with their own destructible features. Once I figured out how to play the maps right, I adjusted my game. I started sticking close to walls and objects, checking my corners, and playing way more patiently than usual. Honestly, it was pretty fun to discover a new playstyle and get the hang of each map’s vibe. I’m definitely here for Tactical combat pacing to avoid getting blasted right at spawn, but having the option to crank up player counts is cool too. Vanguard also brings back weapon mounting from Modern Warfare, which I missed in Black Ops Cold War. It even adds a new feature letting you slide along horizontal surfaces while mounted. Sledgehammer made it so weapon mounting kicks in when you ADS near a surface, but that can mess with your aim due to some annoying magnetization. Luckily, you can tweak the controls to ADS+Melee (R3) to mount, which works more like Modern Warfare and Warzone. Still, I’m lowkey puzzled why Vanguard’s default setting is different.
Potential for Year-Round Content in Call of Duty Vanguard
Vanguard’s real challenge will be how it handles post-launch content, since every Call of Duty now gets ongoing—and free—support for a year after dropping. Following the trend set by 2019’s Modern Warfare, Vanguard’s first Season kicks off on December 2. Expect three new multiplayer maps (plus Shipment coming sooner), a new Zombies main quest and Easter egg, extra unannounced Zombies stuff, and Warzone integration with a fresh Pacific map called Caldera. The one area that’s probably gonna stay pretty static is Vanguard’s campaign. With games like Destiny 2 dropping new Seasonal story stuff and missions all year long, it’d be cool to see Call of Duty try something similar. Overall, Vanguard feels like it could be Sledgehammer’s big break. With iconic characters, unique multiplayer maps, and solid integration into the Call of Duty universe, it sets the stage for what’s next, both for the year ahead and whatever Sledgehammer drops in the future.
