You were at your friend Tara’s dorm with the rest of your friend group, playing uno and getting drunk. You were sat down between Tara and your girlfriend Amber. She rested her hand on your thigh as she watched the game, sipping on her beer. 

“Uno!” You raised your hands in the air as a sign in victory, the rest of the group groaning and slamming their cards down onto the wooden dining table.

As you cheered and gloated in front of everyone’s face, the news on the TV started blaring, the siren blaring in your ears.

“Breaking News: Blackmore University film student by the name of Jason Carvey was found brutally stabbed in his dorm. The mutilated body of his roommate, Gary Bruckner, has been found crammed inside the fridge. A bloody Ghostface mask was found on the scene, police ran a DNA test and concluded that the mask belonged to Billy Loomis,”

“The infamous Ghostface of Woodsboro,” You and the group finished the sentence in unison. After the Woodsboro attack, the group moved to New York to live a “normal life”

But it looks like the plans gone to shit.

Amber reached over for the remote and shut the TV off. When you looked at her, her expression was stone cold, her jaw clenched as she stared at the blank screen. You originally thought it was from shock, but there was something in the way her lips pursed too hard that made it seem odd.

“It’s probably not even Ghostface this time, just some random looking for a thrill.” Mindy said as she got up to grab another beer.

“I’m sorry, Catherine Obvious, but have you been here for the past year?” Chad waved his hand in front of Mindy’s face when she sat down. “It’s obviously him… they followed us.” He leaned back his chair, drumming his fingers on his arm.

The room was silent for a moment, everyone taking in the information that no one wanted to hear.

“We need to go.” Sam stared down in the middle of the table, her eyes burning holes into the colorful Uno cards. 

“Psh, Sam, it’ll be fine. Don’t be dramatic.” Amber smirked as she wrapped her arm around your shoulder, her attitude completely different than what it was 10 seconds ago.

Sam threw a death-glance at Amber, about to cuss her out before Anika spoke up, 

“Yeah, I think we’ll be fine. If anything, we have cute boy across the street to help us.” Anika smirked as Sam’s face grew a bright red, muttering something under her breath before beelining to her room.

“Well. I say we call it a night.” Chad said as he stretched his arms over his head.

Everyone agreed and collected their belongings while Mindy was (rightfully) the one to help clean up everything.

Amber had her arm wrapped around your waist as she walked you back to your dorm. When you arrived, Amber softly kissed your cheek as her other hand traveled up your shoulder, her fingers digging into your skin.

“Be safe, y/n. I can’t handle another one of Sam’s hour-long speeches about sticking together.”

You softly chuckled as she swept a strand of hair from your face. “I’ll try. But if anything happens, I’ll call you. Goodnight, Amber.” You softly squeezed her arm before letting go, entering your dorm as you blew her a kiss.

You locked the door behind you, placing your phone and keys on the entryway table. You stretched your arms above your head, your muscles tense from the game and a pounding headache from the news and the amount of alcohol in your system. 

You walked into your bedroom, taking off your shoes before grabbing a pair of pajamas and heading to the bathroom, your steps slow and relaxed.

The hot water of the shower rained down on you, your muscles relaxing from the aroma of the lavender bodywash that Amber bought for you. The soap suds ran down your curves, collecting at the foot of the shower before being washed away.

When you finished and wrapped yourself in a towel, you walked to the sink to brush your teeth. The spearmint toothpaste lingered in your mouth before being replaced with the strong taste of the cool mint mouthwash you spat out into the sink.

You put in a black bra and a pair of black panties before grabbing your pajamas. The blue cotton antic stuck to your damp body as you pulled the shirt over your head and stepped into the matching pants.

You threw your dirty clothes into the weaven laundry hamper, the bin rocking against the wall for a split second. 

You sat down in front of your vanity, grabbing your brush and running it through the knots in your hair. The brush caught on one particularly big knot in your hair. As you struggled to brush it out, the landline that was sitting on your bedside table started ringing.

“Unknown Number”

The words flashed on the tiny screen as the ringing filled the room.

 Once you brushed out the tangle, you reached over to press the “accept” button on the landline.

“Hello? Y/n speaking. ” You called out as you ran a hand through your hair.

“Hello? Is Maria there?” The voice on the other line was adenoidal and croaky.

Maria was your roommate who was currently out of town, visiting her parents.

“No, she’s not available. Might I ask who this is?”

“I’m Joey. I’m in her trig class” The caller cleared their throat.

“Oh yeah? Joey from trigonometry. How come I’ve never heard of you, Joey from trigonometry?” You smirked as you teased the poor person on the other line.

“You sound exactly like how she describes you.”

“She talks about me?

“I don’t think I can really talk about that.”

“What does she say about me?”

“She says that you’re creative. You love reading and TV and movies.”

“Lots of people love movies.”

“Yeah, but she says you love scary movies and that you guys have that in common.”

“She told me the other day, she wonders…” The voice trailed off for a moment before continuing.

“What’s your favorite scary movie?”

Your ear perked up as you faced the landline, the bright green color of the screen stared at you, blinking the numbers over and over again.

“Well, I really liked “X”. It’s great representation of the psycho-biddy genre.”

“Sounds kinda boring to me. Have you ever seen Stab?”

“Once, i think. At a sleepover when I was, like, 12.”

“You lived in Woodsboro when you were a kid and you don’t know Stab?”

Now that, caught your attention. No one exceopt for the rest of the group knew you were from Woodsboro. You picked up the phone, pulling it to your ear as you made your way back into the living room to grab your cell.

“How’d you know I lived in Woodsboro?”

The voice on the other line was replaced by heavy breathing and the sound of rummaging.

“This isn’t fucking funny, Amber.”

“I told you, this isn’t Amber. But you’re looking particularly fetching tonight. Those blue pajamas really fit you.”

“What do you want?” You grabbed your phone and pulled up the dial button, as you pressed in the 9 and 1, the voice boomed again.

“Stop right there, y/n. You call the cops, you die. You hang up the phone, you die. It’s not hard getting into your dorm. Especially when you leave your window unlocked.”

That’s when you felt the slight breeze behind you. As you turned around, you saw that the living room window was wide open, the wind flowing with the curtains.

You bolted to the window, slamming it shut and locking it. You ran into your room, locking the door behind you.

The voice came on the landline again, “Come on, y/n… Don’t be shy, come and find me…”

You searched every nook and cranny in your room, carefully making sure there was no sign of Ghostface here.

When you searched under your bed, you found a bloody Ghostface mask, more blood stuck to your hands the longer you held it… it was easy to recognize this one too…

Uhhh not really 😭😭 i have a bit down. my idea was to give the children as diverse designs as possible. so we have children with skin as dark as that of sera to kids who are as pale as the wall. together with curly to straight hair and raven to near blond. genetics are fun like that

My personal headcanons for Elizabeth and Charlie as teenagersssss!!! (an AU where Elizabeth and Charlie are very much alive and well and they grow up together I guess ahhHhhhhh)

Elizabeth:

Natural born PERFORMER! Just like her dad. Loves loves loves making people laugh or just entertaining in general

Bubbly, very much a “girly-girl”. I like to imagine she’s pretty popular at school- given how I like to think she loves a good performance, maybe she’s on the cheer team! That would be cute. Also tries out for the yearly school play for sure, always aims for the MAIN role (maybe she gets it one year and William is just like “THAT’S MY GIRL ON STAGE”)

While she’s generally sweet, I do like to think she’s got a bit of a crazy steak to her. Like father like daughter. Eccentric, cunning, and very smart. If she *wants to*, she would be able to manipulate those around her very very very well, because she comes off as such a sweetheart

Polite, “kill them with kindness” sort of attitude she puts on (especially with the rude customers at her dad’s pizza place. Omfg) unless somebody messes with a person she deeply cares for

Hurricane is a small town (I think…lol), so she’s definitely known as “that girl whose dad is this weird British guy owns that popular pizza place” and naturally people are quite drawn to her because of that, I think. Donnie is a good kicker idc what Canon says that mf can kick through a wooden door if he's in the zone (once he's out of the zone it hurts though.)

Leo is partially so all over the place because his brain gets overwhelmed a lot and his brain tends to overcompensate trying to focus on TONS of things at once, when he HAS to focus he normally uses headphones so he doesn't get distracted or off track or overstimulated (totally not projecting.) (I wanna draw something with this idea sometime.)

Raph snorts when he laughs hard. The others play games where they try to get him laughing hard enough to hear it. Little comedy shows. You Laugh You Lose but it's If Raph Laughs We Win.

The boys can all dance well as a group (obv) they just struggle and can't sing together most of the time because they don't wanna focus on that part and doing a style that works all together. (Doesn't stop karaoke nights. Sometimes, they can get a good karaoke out, though, if the stars align.)

But they live in an ND haven where since they grew up with just each other its never a "You're weird act NORMAL" thing because they thought it was just normal. Instead, it's a "You're weird, and sometimes I don't get you, but weird is also normal, so ily."

Mikey is double jointed. Like. Everywhere. He freaks the others out with it sometimes.

Raph has a sweet tooth. He also cannot handle spicy food. On the other hand Mikey eats almost everything, Leo loves spicy food and is a masochist for levels of spice that should kill him, Donnie likes spicy food but he oddly doesn't feel much of the pain and barely responds to it.

Uzui totally seems like a popular playboy in high school.

With Rengoku being his best friend and only nice popular kid.

Giyu's the weird bad boy Rengoku is friends with and no one knows why.

Muichiro's the kid in the younger grade they took pity on because he had no friends.

Shinobu is the nerdy chemistry expert who's popular because a lot of boys like her.

Mutsuri is one of the popular guys exes, but nobody can remember who's, but she's in the group anyway.

Iguro is the weird kid who brags about his pet snakes and thinks he's cool for wearing bandages. He repeatedly gets told off by teachers, and is a wanna be bad boy. Misturi loves him anyway.

Gyomei is a senior, and he doesn't play any sports. No one can remember how he got popular, he just did.

Mixtape Review: Sematary & Ghost Mountain - Hundred Acre Wrist (2020)

For ppl who somehow don't know, Sematary has been a pretty popular (relatively) underground rapper for the last couple years, known for mixing black metal, witch house, and old Chicago drill with a super cool aesthetic with influences from horror movies, esoteric-themes, and the occult, with a lighthearted and humorous side to it as well. I've been a fan of Sematary since mid-2021, and Hundred Acre Wrist, largely regarded within the fanbase as his best release (though I still think his Warboy EP deserves that title), has finally clicked for me. Let's discuss.

The first thing that stands out to me about this mixtape when I listen to it is the production. Most Sematary beats follow a certain formula: black metal sample or witch house synths with drum patterns ripped straight from Yung Chop layered on them, that are very repetitive and often have lots of beat chops, especially during the choruses. However, Hundred Acre Wrist takes these general ideas in a completely different direction, and cranks them up to 11. The production on Hundred Acre Wrist is of a totally different nature than Sematary's other work, it relies on NO sampling as far as I know (I believe I've heard that Ghost Mountain played most of the guitar found in the mixtape) (I could be wrong abt allat tho) and is instead a complex layer of etheral synth melodies, original guitar riffing, and complex and fast-paced drumming with heavy influence from drill, but taken in a different direction, with busier patterns and more complex rhythms. If you listen closely, with a good sound system, you can actually hear forest ambience and nature sound effects looping throughout the mixtape, furthering the natural vibe and atmospheric elements of the production.

The next thing is probably the atmosphere. As I touched on in the production paragraph, this mixtape has an incredibly strong atmosphere (and is insanely consistent quality-wise) without sounding too same-y. A common (and somewhat warranted) complaint I've heard a lot about Sematary's older stuff is that it's just one song over and over again, and listening to a tape like RB1, I can kinda hear that (I love RB1 though). Hundred Acre Wrist doesn't have this problem, every song is distinct. But they do all keep a very consistent atmosphere. This mixtape is in the forest, it's deer that don't look quite right, it's watching horror movies at a sleepover that you're definitely too young to be watching, it's scary stories you heard around a fire at summer camp, it's being 13 and trying DXM for the first time (we all did it don't lie), it's a fusion of all these kind of innocuous themes and vibes that, when combined, make a super cool and complete world, like an alternate reality, that you kind of sink into when listening to the album. Pay attention to the lyrics, trust me. Some of them are pretty goofy, but that's just a part of it.

Speaking of the lyrics, they are definitely what made this project click for me. I'd never really listened to what they were saying in the lyrics, but once I did I actually started appreciating this release for what it is. Sematary is amazing (especially on Heffalumps and Taxidermy) but I kinda feel like this is the one time where he takes a bit of a backseat to Ghost Mountain. Ghost Mountain has some HARD verses here, I'm gonna put screenshots of some of my favorite lines from both artists below. It's kind of amazing to me that nobody thought to combine the themes found here, and in most of Sematary's early music, before, but at the same time It kind of makes sense. Nobody else could do this in a million years, this is a genuinely unique piece of art.

This whole verse from Ghost Mountain is just so fucking eerie sounding, his voice has an almost paranormal feel to it that makes the strange and unique lyrics stand out. If you can't appreciate the artistry in this shit, don't say shit about music to me. (Tourniquet)

This is one of Sematary's hypest moments. When this clicked for me, I was playing Roblox and this shit made me turn off Roblox and rewind the song because of how fucking crazy it is. (Taxidermy)

Ghost Mountain's flow on this section is crazy. Just looking at the lyrics you wouldn't think this would work rhyme-wise but it does. (Johnny Cutter)

Both of them go so crazy on this song (Deer God). Nobody else could fuckin do this man, I don't know what to tell you.

Overall, this is just a super cool and creative work of art that deserves its flowers. There's a lot of really unique experimentation on here. What other underground rap mixtape are you gonna hear an acoustic folk song and a Q-Lazzarus cover? Sematary and Ghost Mountain took a LOT of risks on here, all of which paid off, and I think they reached the peak of their combined artistry. PLEASE listen to this.

Korsica is sporty, without a doubt, all about that daily exercise and healthy nutritious diet. What sport would she do though? I think boxing, like with Macaron, would probably suit her, yet I’d also think of kickboxing and maybe some jogging on the side.

On that note, Chai seems extremely flexible, almost if not outright gymnast levels. It remains a mystery for how long Chai had his right arm the way it was before the implant. Maybe he had it like that since he was a baby, but I can imagine him somehow injuring it in his early years, and it was just so severe that he couldn’t get its fine motor skills back. Like, maybe Chai has a degenerative disease that either runs in the family or only affected him due to him being a gymnast.

Another headcanon for Korsica (me fine woman) is that she actually used to play drums and it’s not just a motive that she has in the game with her batons. Maybe she was part of the school orchestra and would only play simple tunes in there, while actually being good enough to pop off any minute. I instantly remember that video “When you’re overqualified for the job” when I think about it.

j2 on vocals and guitar, obviously. hes the songbird, he's the most talented out of them

j4 on bass. she gives off bass playing girlfriend vibes. bass players are also the ones who fuck the most <3

j3 on drums. relegated to the background as usual but the band wouldnt work w/o him

i'm fascinated to know there are people i will never meet who like the clones. Sad (for me) that ur friend isn't interested in joining the circle of perverts but as ppl who have nuclear launch codes to each others psyches i get it.

ANYWAY. The clones in a band. I've never put like thought thought into it but like the want literally crossed my mind like every fuckin day. I keep joking the Jaces (i think jaceprime should get in on it too!) should be in a band so that they can angrily sing The Chain at each other live. But YEAH this is such a good configuration.

J2 our little songbird!!!!!! And everyone is like "well in order to make it you just have to have some sort of It Factor and. Bluejay has the It Factor" (J3 is so so so fucking normal about this). Meanwhile people who are really into them are like "i get Bluejay is the artist but J4 is the secret sauce and the heartbeat that really makes all of it tick. She's the one who has real instincts about this stuff and really punches everything up. Without her they would be so generic and would not have the same longevity". (J3 is. Slightly better about this but is still so so so so so so so so so so fucking normal about this, too)

I think J2 and J4 get into a lot of fights about creative differences, even tho j2 is usually such a Goodboy this means so much to him and i do think he has a strong creative voice and J4's instincts are so the opposite. (in that. Her instincts are so Jade Victorious coded in that she wants to dump a bucket of stageblood on her audience). AND J2 doesn't do it on purpose but he's like. So so so so so so bad about parasocial boundaries. He's like. These are my friends who i love so so so much :'). In that he's weirdly popular but also nobody takes him seriously. However, he is extremely hot tho which somehow only makes him Lose Cred even more!!!! b/c people are like. Oh only stupid girls would only ever like J3. He's not a serious Artist. His hotness brings down the rep of the entire band which J4 pretends she doesn't care about even tho she wants to be taken seriously but J2 thinks is really annoying. But to be fair, J2 is the one who is concerned with being commercial.

And like. To be fair all of J3's songs are so Octopus's Garden coded but also if Octopus's Garden was not a children's song but maybe more about being on substances. But there is a subtext of like. It would be nice if everything was peaceful and everyone would get along :) in there

I also think like. there's like. j2j3 tension b/c j3 is annoyed b/c J4 is breathing into his mouth every night but like. Only seems to take J2 seriously as a collaborator. J3 can also be George coded if i say so. Sooo… I rly like all modern AUs but my sister rewoke my love for band au recently and I want to share my thoughts.

There is a bar involved. With a scene on which anyone who wants can play. Name of the bar is Lady of Lórien (I have no other idea, I’m still not sure) and it’s owned by Gandalf.

Three hunters is a band. We all know who plays there. We have Gimli on drums, Legolas as singer and piano, and Aragorn electric guitar and singer.

Hobbits also have their little music group but I rly have no good idea for them, and I don’t want to write some shit only to include them, so I BEG U, if you have any ideas i’d love to hear them!!!

Arwen is a solo singer (dating Éowyn in my mind, i need sapphic ship). Her gf is her biggest supporter and she is a great music producer and dj.

So now. I am a sucker recently for Arwen & Boromir as best friends. How? Idk rly, I just need them to get along somehow. And hear me out, Boromir is a drummer, like very good, but he has nobody to play with besides his brother. He writes tho, and some songs he writes he gives to Arwen bc even if his voice is good it’s not like crazy amazing and he doesn’t want people to know he is doing things.

And Aragorn also writes his own songs duh. And somehow because of Arwen they meet one day at the bar and they have the crazy experience of getting to know one another.

He thinks Boromir only plays drums and writes. But at some point he hears him PLAYING THE PIANO. And he’s totally like “o shit he’s hot when he’s emotional”. And he joins him and they play together and it’s so cute and it’s just teeth rotting fluff.

What if the team + Jackson go to Johnathan’s bar and Roach’s brothers convince him to play a song with them on the lil stage for like local bands and karaoke, “just like ol’ times,” and Roach only agrees after forcing Jackson to join them and it’s “like a family thing” and Jackson Totally Doesn’t choke up a smidge at being “part of the family” even tho he was long welcomed as an honorary Sanderson and him n Roach get to just be impressive to their boyfriends?(doesn’t have price playing but the creative juices be flowing man)

"The alcohol for your usual crowd won't?" He crossed his arms over his chest, trying to avoid the looks that the other members of the 141 were sending him. They'd been sending him curious looks during his entire conversation.

"My usual crowd had to relocate to a different bar while we were closed. I need to bring them back somehow."

"And you think," Roach started carefully, "That people will come to watch me perform."

"I don't think, I know." He paused for a moment before, "I can tell you're still thinking. Please bubs? C'mon you can bring your 141 boys and Jackson and I'll give you guys free drinks and food for the night."

Roach paused for a moment, "The whole night?"

"Yes."

"And Suzanne will be there to make her wings and jalapeno poppers?"

"Yes, she'll be in the kitchen all night."

"...fine."

"Yes!"

"Jesus fucking christ, why are there so many people." Roach ducked his head, hiding his face in Ghost's shoulder as the bar continued to slowly fill up.

All of the seats had been taken up ten minutes prior and now everyone who came in was being forced to cram into what standing space their was. Roach could hear Jackson snicker from across the table, "You forget how famous you are here."

"I'm not famous," he protested, "I just used to perform at the church and town events. I don't understand this!"

He could feel Soap running a hand comfortingly up and down his back, "Just think of the positives, Bug. You do this then you can be done for the night."

Jackson snorted, "No he can't."

"I'm going to be fielding people trying to talk to me all night," Roach complained, "Stupid Southern culture."

"Oh, Gary, who are these lovely young men?" Mocked Jackson, "Say, Gary, are you married yet? I have a nephew who is just about your age." Roach was quick to flip his friend off. the last thing he needed was the man making fun of him.

"Hey, kiddo, you ready to perform?" Hands landed on Roach's shoulders and he hesitantly moved away from Ghost to glare up at his brother.

"The whole town is here."

"I know! We really had a great turnout!"

"I hate you."

"That's the spirit," Johnathan hauled him up from his seat and started dragging him toward the stage, "Come on, its past the old folks bed time and they're starting to get cranky."

Roach let himself be dragged up to the small stage at the back of his brothers bar, his entire face going red as cheer erupted the second that he and Johnathan stepped on the stage.

Johnathan stepped up to the mic, motioning for the crowd to quiet down. "Hey everyone, thank y'all for coming out tonight for our reopening." There was a cheer throughout the bar, "Now, I'm not gonna sit up here and run my mouth, I know why y'all came out. So, here is my sweet baby brother," Roach rolled his eyes as he grabbed the acoustic guitar that had been set up for him, "He made time out of his very busy schedule to come play for us, so let's show him some love!"

With that, he stepped away from the mic and off of the stage, allowing Roach to step up to the mic in his place, with cheers ringing around the bar.

He gave an awkward sort of wave to the crowd. "Hi everyone," there was another cheer that met his words. "I guess I'm gonna perform for you guys. Thank you for coming out, I'll try to avoid church songs." His words drew a bit of a chuckle from the crowd and pulled a small smile to his lips. With one last wave to the crowd, he started strumming the beginning notes of one of the songs he'd been practicing.

"Our boyfriend," Soap teased, "Celebrity."

Roach gave another groan, his face burning red. Twenty people so far had stopped by their table to speak to him before they left. A good few people had left after his performance, but there were still a number left in the bar and he knew that his night of being the talking point of the town wasn't over yet.

"I've always wanted to date a celebrity," Ghost joked as well, nudging Roach with his arm.

"I just wanted to eat wings and jalapeno poppers," Roach complained lowly, "I'm never doing this again."

"Oh, c'mon," Gaz gave him a smile, "It's not that bad."

"That's because you're getting free alcohol and food and not having to talk with anyone," Roach accused. "And you've been able to whisper and paw at your boyfriend all night! I can't even try to get handsy under the table."

Gaz's face burned red for a moment, but Jackson only grinned from next to him, no shame on his face. "Not our fault you're so famous."

"We can get handsy later," Soap gave him a pat on his leg and a grin, making Roach's own face burn red and pulling a chuckle from Ghost.

"Gary! I just had to stop to say hello to you before we left," Roach immediately slapped a smile on his face, sending a quick glare to his snickering friends before turning to greet the woman who'd called out to him. It was going to be a very long night.

Nightwolf is the only thing I truly desire and so learning more about Native American culture to understand bbg better, was wondering if you have any headcannons relating to his culture? If he grew up on a reservation, went to rez Partys what he was like younger, all that. (If you want to ofc and I LOVE your art 💞💞💞)

I’m overjoyed to be asked about Nightwolf and I’ll gladly give you head canons, however, if you’d like to learn more about Native Cultures or related topics, I’m not really the person to come to if that’s what you’re expecting. My knowledge is fairly limited as I’m still learning about it myself!! But !! I’ll do my best to give you some Nightwolf head canons about him in general and how I think he was a teenager!

— I think Nightwolf is not a very social person and he was especially not social when he was a kid/teen. He probably didn’t go to a lot of parties unless it was like his siblings party or smth or like a family thing or gathering on the reservation, but even then he didn’t talk to anyone unless they approached him first

NW always had a strong attachment to his culture through his parents and just his general love for history and past events… he’s a huge history nerd but you’d never know that cause he’s not gonna talk to you

He read a lot too when he was young I think… like he always had a new book to read and he would sit off on the side reading it in class or at home or wherever and he loves reading murder mysteries and fiction/non-fiction historical stories

I also have this idea Grey Cloud had a sister, but she passed away from illness the night Grey Cloud was gifted the Nightwolf mantle so that’s always been a mixed memory for him… especially since he wasn’t there to say bye to her….

Grey also has a brother and his niece and nephews are his brothers kids… NW loves his little nephews and niece, he wishes he could see them more often, but being Nightwolf demands his full attention. He enjoys telling them stories of his adventures and showing them his abilities he has from being Nightwolf, which somehow always blows his nephews and niece away no matter how many time he shows them.

Last one!!! As a teenager he killed at playing the drums and guitar… they were passed down from his parents who were in a band when they were teens themselves, and now Grey loves to play music and will forever and always love music !! He can’t play much anymore tho…

life update!!

i finally have some free time and havent properly posted something in so long so i thought id write up something!

first of all i want to say that ive successfully fixed my bingewatch problem in late january!! i hate to say it, but seeing how many movies i saw last year in my letterboxd wrapped really concerned me 🫤 i wanted to make an effort to make use of my time properly (after starting a new job and all) and i thought i wont let myself waste time bingeing horrible b-movies just so i can bump up the percent watched in someones filmography (its kinda tricky doing it so i made a resolution to only watch movies which interests me if i want to see more of someone)

with that said, i ended up not watching anything on weekdays and eventually think that staring at my phone for more than an hour wasnt my thing anymore (at least in the context of doing it EVERYDAY). so that may be one of the reasons why the turnaround for my hyperfixations got slower (which i think is good!).

ALSO, i do want to mention that because ive been watching less films recently i initially thought it would be great for my gif making hobby since i wont feel the pressure of wanting to gif so many movies at one sitting. i tried this in early feb and.. well... lets just say that it takes time for my very old laptop to make gifs (i had it since college during the pandemic so it was really used!). i only screen record scenes i want to gif because i hate having to wait to download AND even if i had hq clips it would take my laptop so long to render. so making something lq and having to wait 30mins just for a single gif wasnt doing it for me (bcs i said i wanted to make more use of my time).. so thats the reason why i havent posted anything lately (I REALLY REALLY wanted to make a gifset of josh whitehouse in valley girl but the quality just ended up stressing me 🫠)

and for my last update, as u can tell from my reblogs on queue, i just saw daisy jones and the six and LOVE josh whitehouse and he really got me playing the guitar again 😭😭 (i still think its a miracle!!!). ive been practicing some old pieces i used to perform when i was in high school during my 5-9's and i just had a bizzare idea of getting into the piano. i only ever played classical before, so i always had a problem doing improvs. i spent some time looking at videos on youtube and found out improvs on the piano were waay easier to play and understand, so im gonna buy a keyboard very very soon (which im so excited for)!!!! learning how to do jazz improvs on keys would probably be my new hobby and making gifs would probably be back until i get a new laptop (which at the moment is very low priority 🥲)
