Because I have recently discovered I get injured significantly more often than other people in my life,
*I am counting anything that requires you to make a change in your day-to-day life to accommodate it while it heals(stopping sports, avoiding stairs, crutches, ect). ie sprained ankle, torn muscle, cut that requires stitches, broken bones, ect ect
If you want feel free to add the most common source of injury/whether it's sports/work related in the tags!

I hate fighting with my mom. I know her husband's a dick. And I know she's just looking out for me. But I'm getting tired of her projecting her own marital problems onto me and my partner and comparing him to my dickhead dad, and last night I kind of snapped at her for it.
My partner has major depressive disorder. He is not, and has never been abusive, and I'm tired of her accusing him as such. I'm sorry he was quiet and reserved yesterday. He wasn't like that because it was my birthday (my dad is extra shitty on holidays/bdays). He's like that because he has depression, and some days are hard. At least she has the courtesy to never directly accuse him to his face I guess, cause I can only imagine what that would do to his mental health.
I just... her health is bad now. And I don't want to fight with her. I still love her, and i dont want to lose what time i have left with her. But I'm just tired of her trying to compare him to that asshole.
Is that so wrong? I genuinely don't know...

alright here's my idea - an au where jayvik meet as kids, with viktor working for a street magician, rigging all the fake tricks behind the scenes, and jayce as a little magic fanboy 🪄✨
some thoughts on this au:
jayce has been obsessed with magic acts ever since his life was saved by a sorcerer. there's a new performer in town who can do tricks no one else can, and jayce in convinced he must be the real deal. one day he sneaks backstage in the hopes of finding evidence of real magic, but finds viktor instead, who he assumes must be the magician's apprentice!
viktor is torn because he doesn't want to ruin this kid's enthusiasm, or risk losing his job by revealing the truth. but he also... really doesn't want to be a wizard. so he comes clean. (lol)
jayce is a little bummed to find out it's not real, but when viktor shows him how the practical effects work, jayce becomes enchanted once more. they look so convincing!! technology that can replicate magic?? he thinks that's brilliant.
from then on viktor has a little tag-along at all of their shows, and jayce even starts calling himself viktor's apprentice. viktor's embarrassed, obviously, but also undeniably charmed. he and jayce become friends, him teaching jayce about engineering and jayce (trying to) teach him about the arcane.
they are earth shatteringly adorable the entire time 😔

Was pondering how Mark’s rigid ass mask/lens is prob a Budget Thing (since squishy, bendy lens are pretty much a mandate for all hero animated series, like JL, BTAS, TNBA, Spider-Man, etc), and then I was slapped with a vision of Mark in a more JL/BTAS-ish style and I had to see it through. I am a genius btw.
#i had MANY thoughts while drawing my brain melted while posting so if ya have questions send 'em / ask 'em#but rapid fire: leans more into nightwing's look b/c bro's name is legit grayson + moves away from his father's sidekick/protege +#and legit has a blue and black outfit. that is soooo winking at robin (dick grayson specifically)#mark has a more casual / athletic fit and tried to keep his usual kicked puppy expression / mood#which then contrasts his more emotional (hero) side he acts upon when he's suited up as ANOTHER wink to the whole dual persona#mark does it unintentionally as he's eager to prove himself as invincible and thus more emotional/confidential/eager + feels lackluster#as just mark grayson.#but it's such a comic book trope it's interesting el show ignores the potential stakes for that + prob cause they dont focus on#villains#mark has debbie's cheek bones + pearls both so he skip the whole copy paste design tactic cartoons annoyingly use + wink at batman w/ pearl#nolan wears pink and debbie wears green b/c they have conflicting views on raising Mark but (used to?) stand on a somewhat#united front by having same collared shirt. but mark leans more on debbie's stuff visually w/ cooler colors + white shirt underneath#mark keeps his cape as another wink/nod at robins (tim drake TNBS specifically) which mimics his Dad + kid-like eagerness for hero stuff#which he gets rid off when he goes blue/black suit arc (cough cough nightwing looking ass) so just leaned MORE into it#mark has a heart on his chest because he's TRYING to do what he think he's best + emotional asf#lens/goggles are diff to keep the audiences' eye back at HIS eyes + look more ominous and predatory which the black/blue combo#already COULD do in canon but in show its just pallete swapped which ruins the more ominious look it probably intended#and doesnt really scream “OH NO! THERE'S NO GOLD! WHICH could be a marker of mark's joy vanishing!!!”#but i hope it does now but ALSO having design changes#the brainrotsreal's art tag ✧˖°:*♡#invincible rotating in my mind#mark grayson#invincible fanart#invincible#fanart#digital art#procreate art#i wish the style leaned more this way since it is messing with or TRYING to mess with some superhero tropes before it does its own thing#just straight up use nostalgia bait while it has his JL knock off#artists on tumblr

You cannot be a perfectionist'.#Right now - posting these slightly upgraded frames is really helping me stay motivated through the learning grind.#But progress is happening! I'm so excited to show it off when it's done!#Someone with a very discerning eye might be able to figure out what I'm doing with just this one frame. I will take the risk.#That aside; I often think about how the nature of cultivators in MDZS's world also entailed knowing about other art forms.#Meaning that Wen Qing and Wen Ning likely were good musicians and artists.#We know WWX is also good in art and music so...really...what was stopping them from forming a band?#Allow me to pitch this AU: Yiling Opera company AU. WWX and the Wen remnants form a performing trope and tour towns and cities.#Not only do they find a way to keep on the move (no home...only the road and the people around you).#But you also get to be in costume - which is a socially appropriate way to always be in disguise.#Yiling Laozu would thus be a character and/or WWX's stage name.#Would he be good at keeping it a secret? Hard to say with WWX! I think it would be a poorly-kept secret at best.#He likes to brag and show off a bit too much. This many would be either the worst or best spy.#Consider the drama of JC losing his mind over his ex-brother becoming a clown. Imagine JC Getting his ass kicked by said clown.#Imagine the delectable secret identity drama potential of Lan Wangji stumbling upon the trope's performances.#We did not get nearly enough of the secret identiy drama in MDZS canon. I need more of it.#I need that man conflicted with his feelings for the same person. I need them playing mind games with each other at all times.

(and thus are the context for all of my postcanon doodles!)#which is i think nille joins the party before loop reappears for a start (either from a period of nonexistence or just wandering around)#and that like. i think the party should be able to integrate loop as a completely new person. because they are! the secrecy isn't great but#They and Siffrin shuffle into different ecological niches in the party (eg. i think sif is more squeamish after it all but loop isnt)#and while it's not *exactly* what Loop wanted they get that beggars can't be choosers. and its pretty good#(i am glossing over how i think loop's reappearence drags both them and siffrin into a massive behavioural backslide and is likely a bit#distressing to watch go down. cycle of argument -> lovebombing -> normalcy -> repeat. etc etc. but since they are no longer literally#stewing in the worst pressure cooker of all time they do resolve it via productive conversation on their own time. its fine)#the party well-meaningly tries to deduce things from loop's vagueries and are able to pin down the DEAD FAMILY vibe pretty quickly.#but eventually the question of their prior identity falls by the wayside because well! they're just their friend loop! (also change belief)#as for how The Truth Come Out... this is what i mean by The Isabeau Torment Nexus(tm). which is that i think... isiloop should almost occur#BEFORE isabeau knows who loop is. he's just genuinely charmed by them eventually and tries to close the open end of the polycule#which FREAKS LOOP THE FUCK OUT because thats just too genuinely sick and wrong. and obviously w emotions high its not a great confrontation#ANYWAY told u i had more thoughts. if i were normal itd be a text post but.
