tw!! there will be some mentions of misgendering, as well as negative stereotypes regarding being trans

miles came out to his mom (only his mom) at the age of 12, while she was supportive she gave him a year to think it through before he was allowed to begin medically transitioning. however, she always asked what he was comfortable with when he wasn't out to his uncle or dad.

his dad was a bit confused at first but he had the spirit. definitely thought it was strange at first, but after a couple talks with his lovely wife he came to an understanding and made it EVERYONE's problem when someone disrespected his son (i.e. misgendering him or otherwise)

another reason why miles had such a hard time adjusting to visions was because on the first day his roster had his legal name so for the entire school day, (until miles called his dad who would definitely fix the mistake as soon as he heard about it) he had to sit through giggles and weird looks towards him during attendance.

a/n: happy birthday to my favorite spiderman :3 this is a letter fanfic too, where the reader is writing a letter to miles for his birthday, and for the song it’s nothing too important just I think this is the song that reader would listen too and think about miles

“ mijo!” came the call of miles’ mother, it was early, and miles wasn’t even up yet, the boy let out a grown before he got up on his own, and shuffled around as he yelled back out to his mom that he was coming

the boy rubbed the tiredness from his eyes and let out a soft sigh, before he made his way from his room to the kitchen where his parents were going through the mail, his mother had a letter in her hand, and her eyebrows were furrowed

miles walked over to stand by his mother, he knew by now that he had to wait until his mother was done reading something before he spoke to her, his eyes blinked a few times, trying to adjust to the light. he had left his phone in his room on the charger so the only thing he had to do was focus on the things around him, his eyes looking down at the open envelope that was on the counter.

Currently having a lot of thoughts about the ATSV canon concept, so I'm just gonna vomit them on here.

This obviously contains a lot of spoilers, you've been warned.

The only times we see disrupted canon events actually having consequences are when Miguel takes his other self's place, and when Miles saves the Captain in Pav's world. However, not only did the collapses appear differently, but it's weird to me how this never happened every other time the canon was disrupted.

Let's look at everything in order.

1) Appearance: in non spider-Miguel world's collapse, everything seemed to glitch out of existence. However, when the canon gets disrupted in Mumbattan, the collapse appears very different. Y'know what it looks like? Like one of Spot's holes. Sure, the building sinking in is glitching. But that's not the main thing. And I just think it's weird.

2) Other disruptions: I've been collecting events that are most definitely not canon in every spider's story, no matter how silly and small, and guess what? None of them have consequences.

Peter B. only got back with M.J. because he met Miles. Gwen wasn't supposed to have any friends, but she met Miles. Noir brought back a colored Rubik's cube to his B&W universe. Gwen's father wasn't supposed to resign. Miles-42 was supposed to become Spider-Man. And don't even get me started on everything wrong with 1610. 1610's Peter wasn't supposed to die, and Miles was supposed to become the Prowler. All of that didn't happen because 1610 Alchemax's collider brought the 42 spider there, which means the collider was a non-canon event as well.

So, clearly something's not right. Miguel could be lying about how the canon works, but honestly? I think he doesn't know any better. I think LYLA's somehow behind this, because i genuinely cannot see Miguel as anything other than a very scared man. Also, as much as he's someone to go against the rules, i doubt Hobie (and Margo) would actively let Miles destroy his world by helping him return. They're smart, they know what's going on. Hobie more than anyone, i believe.

So, to sum everything up. The canon events are not what they were presented as. We are missing some pieces, they didn't tell us something. At least that's what's been on my mind for the last two weeks.

this is for my boy @13keithxpidge13 ur a real one okay, here we go. its not going to be long bc i am SO tired, but here's a few fun lil things.

Miles isn't one to get super dysphoric until someone points out his voice. He was super excited when he came to the assumption he might've hit puberty after he got bit by the spider for that very reason. He was so excited for his voice to finally start deepening even though he had only been on testosterone for a couple months at the time.

Meeting Hobie was so fucking gender validating for him? When Hobie instantly treated him like the guy Miles so desperately wanted to be. "Man like Miles, my guy!" He couldn't hold back the real smile behind his mask, he was just so happy in this moment. He felt so good, like whatever Hobie said was basically the truth and if Hobie said he was the guy ever?? Well Miles was the guy ever.

When Rio stopped helping Miles with his shots because he needed to learn to do it himself, he asked Hobie a few different times to just sit there with him as a sort of comfort. It kinda became their weekly hangout, Hobie would come over, make sure he didn't fuck up the injection, then they would go do whatever Hobie came up with last minute, or sit and just chill.

Right now, it was around 2 something in the morning, and the rest of the group had left. They tried getting Hobie to leave, but his ass said he wouldn't leave till his beautiful Sunflower got there.

So Marliyn had no choice but to drive up here and get her drunk boyfriend from this party. She put her hands in her jacket pockets and walked up to the house. She walked through the front door, looking around. "Hobie!" She yelled through the loud noise of talking and loud music as she walked through the crowd looking for him.

She heard loud yelling and loud chanting, "Chug, chug, chug!!" which only meant one thing most of the time to her. She sighed, walking over to the crowd pushing her way through. "Hobie!" She yelled as she finally made her way to the front of the crowd. There he was, her boyfriend shirtless, drunk, and taking a shit tone of shots. She was about to go and grab him when he noticed her.

He had the biggest smile on his face, "Sunflower!" He yelled as he went and grabbed her by the hand, pulling her to where he was. He wrapped his arms around her wist and kissed all around her face. She nodded, "Yea Miles did it. He wanted to try braiding hair, and when he was done, we just put my hair up." She said as she grabbed his hand. "Let's go back to the apartments hun." She said with a smile, "Wa-" he paused. "Wait, I gotta show.." He said drunkenly, "Show what Hun?" She said before Hobie abruptly lifted her up. That's when she noticed the crowd was still around them, making her blush.

"This is my Sunflower!" He said loudly, looking at everyone as they all drunkenly cheered, "And she is the lovelies most beautifulest- est? Sunflower I have ever seen!" He said, making everyone cheer loudly. She looked him as he continued on with his little speech, mainly just calling her pretty. She giggled happily as she held onto him, "I love you Hun!" She said as she kissed his cheek, making him stop his speech, "I love you too, my beautiful Sunflower." He said before kissing her forehead.
