I’ve seen a lot of posts about the Batfam wearing the others merch recently
So I would like to add for consideration- the ultimate act of acknowledgment from Tim is him adding a sticker of your hero identity on his skateboard (list based roughly in the order he would have met them)
Prior to becoming Robin his skateboard only had stickers of the Batman, Nightwing, Robin, & Batgirl symbols (either NW Dick + R Jason or both for Dick idk if he would but you can’t tell me Dick’s biggest fan wouldn’t have at least consider it lol)
Then he becomes Robin and he slowly starts adding on to it
Oracle & Huntress get stickers added on super quick after their introductions though at the time he might have needed to custom make Oracle’s- maybe Huntress’s as well?
Spoiler hit him in the face with a brick when they first meet so even though he forgave her pretty quick it still takes him a moment to make/add her sticker on. (How long do vigilantes need to be on the scene before people start making merch, do y’all think?)
Impluse gets added on pretty quickly after Tim meets him. Superboy gets added on a while after their meeting because the two annoyed the HECK out of each other when they first met and Tim’s petty like that.
Tim was a bit suspicious when he first met Cass but AS SOON AS he gets over it he’s adding on a sticker. Like immediately.
While he meet Secret before the rest of YJ I’m not sure those meetings would have led him to making a sticker for her but once she joins the team I think he would.
Wonder Girl, Arrowette, & Empress like Impluse, gets their stickers added on pretty soon on after he meets them.
He later makes a custom one for Slobo.
Ray gets one too but not as quickly as the others & both Ray & Slobo get one quicker than Superboy did, relatively. It makes Superboy fume a bit lol in a way he didn’t with the girls lol.
Every time Red Hood is close to get his sticker added he does something that pushes the time table back lol. Sometimes Jason tried adding his own sticker but the skateboard is never where he can find it when he tries.
He added one for Batwoman, BlueBird, & The Question (Reene) because he thinks they’re cool (+ without even realizing that he also felt a communal pull to do so)
It took a bit of time after the whole “I left Gotham in search of Bruce who was lost in the time-stream” thing for things with Damian to settle. Tim added his Robin randomly without any fanfare and Damian pretended he doesn’t care (but he does obnoxiously brag about it when annoyed by Jason to bother him in return)
Tim was MIA & considered dead when Duke became Signal (if I’m recalling correctly) but Dick tells him about The Skateboard and when Tim comes back Dukes already ready and hands him a Signal symbol sticker. Tim is amused and immediately puts it on. Jason is frustrated.
When he starts working with Sparrow he makes one for her.
Also every time Nightwing changes his suit, a new sticker gets added on which makes everyone complain and say they should get more than one sticker if they’ve had more than one suit/super identity.
Tim responds by adding more Nightwing stickers

Alternative Tim Drake Costumes! Jason here.
The first one could be a Robin costume, but I think it diverges too much from Dick’s for Tim to choose it as Robin. It fits better if he became a vigilante separately.
The second one has a similar cape to the New52 Red Robin. It definitely goes all-in on the red, and the mask is supposed to be similar to a cardinal’s crest. I think this would be Tim Drake as Cardinal or maybe a Red Robin costume. He gets semi-spiky hair and keeps the Red Robin logo. This costume looks kind of familiar to me, but googling Tim Drake costumes/costume redesigns for like 20 minutes hasn’t yielded anything super similar so I think I’ve just stared at it too much.
The last one is if 14-year-old skater Tim Drake was given free rein with his costume choices and wasn’t worried about embarrassing himself in front of Batman. It’s not exactly the skater aesthetic, more like a combination of skateboard + punk + neon, but it seems like the type of thing he might think is awesome. This costume would be mocked to death. I, being the person who actually likes the Sixth Doctor’s coat, think it’s cool.

Skater Tim AU
Tim is about to lose it, he's been at it for two whole days but he still hasn't mastered the fabled 360 Ollie Heelflip. It isn't even that hard! After wiping out, yet again, he notices a pair of red beat up sneakers from across the street.
or
Skater! Tim and Non-Skater! Jason bond over skills they don't have, but then Tim gets a lil sentimental jealousy. Only a little bit.
(Crack taken seriously tbh lmao)
Today’s just not Tim’s day. He feels tears well up in his eyes but he continues on, indifferent to his stinging shins and bruised forearms. The universe, in its infinity,  is currently humbling him after last week’s skateboard victories where he totally nailed the Bubble Flip within a whopping five minutes, by instead leaving him stumped by the elusive 360 Ollie Heelflip for 2 whole days.
He wipes his brow, shooting a glare at the defiant red skateboard. It’s starting to feel like a waste of a weekend. The angry hue of the board seemed to be fuelling his frustration, but he wasn’t going to give up.
He's a Drake; they’re stubborn .
After a series of failed attempts, he finally feels like he’s getting a hang of it. Well, he can tell when it’s about to go south. The sinking feeling before his feet met the skateboard, the awkward landing, the total loss of control… wait, what?
Tim, once again, tumbles. He watches in exhaustion as his board whizzes across the street after yet another attempt, wincing as his hands become embedded with road gravel.
He frowns at the damage, his scraped shins smeared blood across the cement pavement outside the Drake home.
Grabbing his board from across the street, he notices a pair of red beat up sneakers on the top of the cement pavement.
“Oh, hello.” Tim says in surprise. He didn’t expect anyone to be walking about. The homes in Bristol are separated by acres of land and shrubbery so he rarely saw neighbours. At best, he’d see the Wayne Butler drive by to do errands.
His breath hitches as he recognised the face of the sneaker’s owner. A boy a few years older than him, his new-ish neighbour.
”Hi,” Jason greets, leaning forward to check Tim’s shins. The boy is Jason Todd, recent adoptee of Bruce Wayne. AKA, maybe Batman. “Sheesh, anyone teach you how to fall?”
“Not really, I’m self-taught.” Tim replies, trying not to stutter. You know, his dad is (possibly)  Batman!
“That’s one of the first things you should learn, maybe.”
“Probably.”
“Yeah,” Jason nods, a little bashful at the awkwardness. Tim, now on both knees, unconsciously hid behind his skateboard. A beat of silence passes. “I uh, I could show you how.”
“Oh, you skate?”
“Nono, I don’t skate, but I do know how to fall safely.”
“Hm, okay.”
“Really?” Jason seems genuinely surprised. Tim raises an eyebrow—why wouldn’t he agree? This is a chance to talk with someone close to Batman! (That and he’d like to get to know Jason; he seems nice.)
“Yeah! It sounds fun, plus I get to learn how to avoid getting hurt…”
“Cool. I guess we’ll start with the lean . If you lean into the fall it gives you some control over how you’re gonna land.” Jason says, helping Tim from the road. He does this with ease, making Tim wonder about Jason’s strength… or how light he himself is. Jason claps his hands together. “Oh! And don’t forget to always protect your head…”
Tim can't help but be grateful for the unexpected lesson, it will be useful for his habit of freerunning Gotham rooftops and Jason is nice to talk to. They spend the next little while working on Tim's technique, with Jason offering tips and encouragement. It’s a welcome change—someone helping him, a rarity in Tim’s recent memory.
"Not bad," Jason remarks, giving Tim a friendly pat on the back. The compliment made Tim flush with embarrassment. "You'll get the hang of it with practice.”
“Thanks! This is pretty useful, I really should’ve learnt this first…” Tim replies. That’s the thing with being self-taught, it’s hard to gauge what parts were important to learn.
“Well, you’re learning now.” He takes a seat next to Tim, who decided to rest on the steps of Drake Manor with his knees tucked under his chin. “Learning how to fall is essential to any sport.”
“Do you do any?”
“I’m trying out gymnastics, but it’s not for me.” Jason sighs, slightly lowering his gaze to the gravel driveway. Tim suddenly goes quiet, contemplating his thoughts. Jason has been adopted for two months, possibly training to be the next Robin if Tim’s theory was right, of course. (Tim himself is not a fan of the change, but he has missed seeing the costume. Nightwing is cool but it’s just not the same.)
“How about skateboarding?” Tim suddenly asks. “I could teach you that.”
“Are you sure you’re qualified for teaching me? You faceplanted pretty hard.” Jason remarks, eyebrows raised. Okay sure, what Tim displayed earlier was not to his best abilities but c’mon .
“You’re nitpicking a one time thing; usually, I’m awesome!” He huffs, puffing his cheeks in frustration—which is childish of him, he knows—and angrily storms off the stairs to return to the empty driveway. Tim may not be particularly awesome at it but he’s not as bad as Jason was making him out to be.
“Okay okay! I won’t criticise.” Jason had the audacity to laugh . A little peeved, Tim handed Jason his skateboard with slight apprehension. “Don’t let me die, kid.”
“I’m considering it,” Tim mutters under his breath.
Undeterred by Tim’s jest, Jason grins. “Alright then, let’s see if you can teach me something other than faceplants and wipeouts.”
The impromptu skateboarding lesson led Tim to learn something about Jason: he is as graceful as a baby deer.
It’s funny because earlier, when Jason demonstrated the proper falling techniques, Tim felt like he was watching a well-trained professional; cool and confident. Watching Jason skate for the first time was like observing jello; wobbly and anxious. The buckling knees and fear in doing literally anything on the board was laughable and Tim was taking joy in watching Jason having to use his own falling tips on himself. It was karma, he reasons.
They take turns using the board, Tim showed off the various other moves he learnt previously while Jason does small half-attempts at it. By the end of the afternoon Jason stopped trying to skate and instead resorted to showing off hiss gymnastics, doing a variety of flips and tricks in an attempt to impress Tim. To his horror, Tim revealed he use to take gymnastic classes and demonstrated his own handspring across the pavement. Tim doesn't tell him that he only remembered how to do the one handspring from gymnastics class and that Jason was incredible. A feeling started to erupt from Tim's stomach... envy? “Oh shit, I should go.” Jason exclaims, looking to the orange tinted sky. "Someone is about to get pissed that I'm not home yet."
Tim, understanding Jason’s urgency, nods in understanding. “Yeah, sure. Thanks for the tips. I appreciated it loads.”
“Anytime! Thanks for hanging out with me.” Jason blurts the last bit in a hurry before handing Tim’s board back. He waves Tim goodbye as he runs a few feet down the street a goofy smile contrasting the initial apprehension they had before.
Tim watches him disappear from the horizon line. Wayne Manor’s warm lights flicker in the distance, stark contrast to Tim’s vacant and cold home. There was someone waiting for Jason at Wayne Manor, whether it was Mr. Wayne or the butler. Someone worried for his safety and what he was up to for the last afternoon. Someone was home. His heart twinged in yearning, in jealousy . Nobody is home for Tim. Nobody has been home in a long time.
The orange hues of the sky are now fading into the dark Gotham night. The melancholic streetlights illuminated an artificial white glow, casting long shadows behind Tim's body. It made him feel more alone and that the world was bigger than he is. Left alone with his thoughts, he sits on the steps of Drake Manor. The evening is settling in and the quietude of Bristol surrounds him. The empty driveway taunts him , still marked with the skid marks of his unsuccessful attempts, the only memories he has in this god forsaken house. (That isn’t true. He remembers dancing with his family in the living room, the smell of take out as they gathered in the kitchen to celebrate Tim’s report card and all the times they held him and loved him.)
For a moment, Tim imagines a bustling home filled with warmth and people . He wonders what it would be like to have someone waiting for him, someone to talk about his day with.
Yet the reality of his isolation returns, his empty house and driveway being the things that kept him grounded. It won’t be empty long, he reasoned. He takes a deep breath, finally getting up to enter the vacant home.
He still hasn’t mastered the 360 Ollie Heelflip.

I figured out why I like Tim's new suit so much.
For Contex: This Suit
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It gives me skater vibes.
Some of you newer fans or those who have gotten lost in the cannon and fannon dumpster pile may have forgotten that Tim Drake used to skate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[It was on a comic cover.]
What does this prove?
That DC is finding some of its roots and making some of it better? Yes.
[DC still has a lot of issues that I could spend hours talking about but this isn't the post.]

“Well there’s contract magic- that’s what Constantine does, along with the majority of prevalent magic users.” Tim nudged her foot out of the way, continuing the chalk circle around them. Sam turned to follow, wondering how he managed to keep the circle so even.
“Wait, who’s Constantine?” Tucker asked. “They’re not in the files.”
“He’s a pain in everyone’s ass.” Danny muttered. “He’s in contract with half the Creatures on this side of the realms. You know the amount of ghosts I got complaining to me cause he tricked them better than they could when they went under contract?”
“Hnn, yeah most wouldn’t take too nicely to getting tricked. Salt please.” Tim handed the chalk to Tucker in exchange for salt from the bag he’d shoved into the other teen’s arms. “And then someone like Zatanna is Born with her magic, but Born are rare, so I doubt one of them would be targeting you three specifically. Leaves us with Creature or Cursed.”
Sam watched in mild amusement as Danny tried to smudge the chalk-and-salt lines, static bursting from the point and making him recoil. “Creature, that would be fae-things right? Ghosts, demons, whatever is made of magic or magic adjacent?”
“Basically. Salt will help with that. The chalk is hopefully for anyone who tries to cast like how I do. Although trying to harness magic by manipulating curses is rare since it involves far too much grave and museum robbing. Lucky for me, mom and dad did the legwork, so I haven’t needed to rob a grave yet. Mind setting this cat pair at the northern and eastern points of the circle?” He offered two tiny stone cats to her and Sam wrapped her hands around them, the smooth stone unnaturally chilled.
