How would Evan react if his darling's parents were police?
Tumblr media
- Aww, it's sweet that you think police can do anything to him. He is part of honest organized crime, he pays the police to shut their mouths and look the other way. Even if his darling's parents are of decent rank, the ones Evan has in his pockets are even higher and he can get rid of them or their jobs in a blink. The ones he controls are so far out of reach that no one is going to question them.
- Odds are, his darling's parents would never know that he took them. They wouldn't be able to do anything and they wouldn't be able to interfere if they ever figured out Evan is the perpetrator.
- If push comes to shove, Evan is not above getting rid of them permanently to keep you by his side. He will not tolerate getting anything or anyone between you, regardless of who he has to remove to keep you with him.

Ah. Um. Still alive. Sorry I've been gone, I've... been trying to figure out what to do.
And got a visit from the UPD. I won't get into the details, but I'm glad it's the actual me they ran into, at least. I still wish they had picked a different way to confirm it was my face for the photo, though… that Lillipup in training was a little too eager to try out its Tackle. Still… I know that I’m fortunate, all things said. All I need to do for now is "not leave Unova", which is ridiculously lenient, but... well. The right family gets you a lot. Including a very intimidating lawyer.
I think, in the meantime, I’ve got to at least clear up some of the confusion. With Plasma. And everything. I’ve been trying to write a more accurate explanation of the situation, it’s just… terrifying, you know? Trying to explain something you were convinced was either going to your grave or getting you killed. And I still can’t really rule the second one out… never should have let this get so far.
I don’t even know if people would believe me now, and for good reason. I earned that. All I really have is my parents, somehow, Wolfy, who was there the whole time, and… well, I guess Haruto… who else would stand by somebody like me. Even so… I at least owe you all the truth.

Afroman being sued by officers after they raided his house
LMAOOOO the Adams County Sheriff’s Department is now trying to sue him for using their likenesses (obtained from his home security camera footage) in music videos and merchandise to help fix all the stuff they broke when they raided his house, claiming it caused them to suffer “humiliation, ridicule, mental distress, embarrassment, and loss of reputation.
They also claimed that they should get the proceeds he made from said content and products (which again, were created to pay for the damage they did to his property).

Very bad news
Since I began pressing criminal charges against my abuser, which was a few months ago at this point, I was under the impression that the police were still looking into it, purely because they’d kept me in the dark about things and led me to believe there was still an ongoing investigation. It turns out they closed the case and didn’t bother to tell me. One of my contacts from a charity for abuse survivors has sent a letter to the local PD requesting that they review their decision, but I’m still feeling really downhearted about this.
I’m also extremely worried that if my birthgiver isn’t prosecuted, then she might find a new target who won’t be able to get any support.
I guess I’m just still in shock over it all. I’m trying to get in touch with the right people and tell them about it so I can get some support, but it’s still very painful. ACAB.

“But if we defund the police who will protect us?” “But if we have no police who will you call when your in danger?” “We need police to keep us safe”
No, fuck you
I had to call 911 while I was at work (I’m a hotel concierge) and the woman who I’m calling to have removed is standing across from me screaming at me while I try and speak to the operator. By the time the police arrive (45+ mins later) I’ve managed to get the woman to leave (after she spent 30+ mins screaming at me and harassing guest) and after I told the cop he goes “cool, it all worked out!” I spent almost an hour shaking and had to lock the doors early.
I’ve had to call cops to come “deescalate ” situations several times and they have NEVER helped the situation, not once.
Once or twice a month a cruiser will come sit in the parking lot for about 5 hours and give ticket after ticket all day.
Defund police because they aren’t providing a useful service, defund police because they don’t arrive quick enough to actually do something and when they do they make the situation worse, defund police because they only put effort in their job is when they need to meet a quota, defund police because when I comes to MY SAFTEY it will ALWAYS be in MY HANDS!
Defund the police because when your calling as a person of colour you shouldn’t have to hope you get a “good cop” defund the police because I will NEVER call them when I’m having an issue with a black man because whatever he’s doing won’t be worth his death.
DEFUND THE FUCKING POLICE BECAUSE ITS A SYSTEM THAT WAS PUT IN PLACE TO PROTECT PRIVILEGED PEOPLE AND PRIVILEGED PEOPLE ONLY!! AND EVEN NOW IT BARELY DOES THAT!!

CPS declined to charge undercover police officer who deceived woman into 19-year relationship
Senior officers convened in 2013 to hear ‘unbelievably bad’ news about relationship
Prosecutors did not hear evidence from victim before deciding not to charge officer for misconduct
Woman not told true identity of man with whom she has a child until 2020, when they were engaged
Rob Evans and Aamna Mohsin, 12:00, Wednesday 27th December 2023
The Crown Prosecution Service decided not to pursue charges against an undercover police officer who deceived a woman into a 19-year relationship without even hearing evidence from the victim in the case.
The CPS, which says its fundamental role is to support victims and protect the public, was informed in 2014 that an undercover officer at Avon and Somerset police had used his undercover identity to deceive the woman, who was innocent of any crime, into a long-term relationship.
The relationship had at that point already lasted more than a decade and resulted in the couple having a child together. The CPS, after receiving a file of evidence from Avon and Somerset police, concluded in March 2015 that the undercover officer should not face criminal prosecution for misconduct in public office.
However, the file did not contain any evidence from his victim, who could not be interviewed about the case because she had not been informed about the deception. The woman, whom the Guardian is referring to as Mary to protect her identity, was not informed about the true identity of her partner until five years later, in 2020.]
(link to full article in the guardian here)
now the guardian were also kind enough to create a timeline of this cop's abhorrent behaviour:

Timeline
Undercover officer's 19-year deception
2001
Undercover police officer begins relationship with ‘Mary’ using his fictitious identity. The couple later have a child together
2013
Avon and Somerset police hold an emergency meeting at which senior officers are told the undercover officer has been deceiving a woman for more than a decade. Representatives of the Association of Chief Police Officers attend meeting
2015
Crown Prosecution Service decides not to prosecute the officer. The Independent Police Complaints Commission, an official watchdog that has since been disbanded, is also understood to have examined the case and decided to take no action
2016
Avon and Somerset police inform the public inquiry into undercover policing, led by the retired judge Sir John Mitting, about the case
2018
The newly formed official watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, starts investigating the case
2020
Avon and Somerset police finally disclose to Mary that her partner of 19 years was an undercover officer living a double life. By that point, they are engaged to be married]
so according to the cps, "there was insufficient evidence to provide a realistic prospect of conviction" and the matter regarding mary being informed was a police matter, and both of those are very interesting things to say considering mary would not be informed of the deception for another five years. they were making choices for her without even telling her.
and thats also interesting because see in the uk, there is a law on the books that allows victims of alleged crime to ask a different cps officer to review their case if they received a decision not to prosecute.
thats the law stated as to why another review cannot happen because mary did not exercise that right.
mind you that mary was still not aware that her long time partner, who was a stepdad to one of her children and dad to another, was an undercover police officer. she would not find out for at least another five years.
so its really interesting as to how she was supposed to exercise that right.
also, mind you that the crown prosecution service was one of the six, count'em six public bodies who were aware of the deception, and at any point, they could have informed mary.
kinda feels like theyre witholding her right there, doesnt it?
i mean, former victims' commissioner vera baird believes so: "they deliberately eroded her rights by not telling her she has it. there is guidance in the cps that they should discuss complex issues with victims. but the only way you can trigger the victims’ right to review is if the cps tell her that they’ve had it and they’ve decided not to prosecute it. that is absolutely their obligation."
it is so clear that at no point did anyone have marys best interests in mind. because why would you? its not like shes the damn victim in all of this.
dont you all love how corrupt the cps and police in the uk are?
further into the article, mary's family describes the officer as "manipulative and controlling" which is unfortunately no surprise considering he was a fucking cop, and on top of that, a cop who was happy to lie to his girlfriend for 19 years.
its also made clear that theres no reason for him to lie to mary. she was not involved with whatever crimes he was investigating; in fact, she had absolutely no connections to it.
instead, he just lied to her for 19 years and several public bodies all lied for him too. because you dont grass on your friends, even when youre fully grown adults and in positions of considerable power.
oh and theres also this:

Also at the meeting were attendees from the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), the now-defunct body that represented the most senior officers in England and Wales. It was a delicate time for ACPO, which was linked to an emerging scandal involving a host of other undercover police officers who had deceived women into relationships as part of operations to monitor mostly leftwing protest groups.]
just in case you needed to be reminded that the police are a corrupt organisation and you should never trust a police officer.

(TW: violence, descriptions of dismemberment, racism, hate crimes)
Rasheem Carter, a 25-year-old Mississippi black man, called his mother in a panic, stating that a group of white men in three pickup trucks were chasing him as they yelled racial slurs. That was the last time Carter’s family heard from him. He was reported missing the next day, on October 2, 2022.
A month later, authorities found his remains in the woods of Taylorsville, Mississippi. Carter had been decapitated and dismembered, with his spinal cord found detached from the rest of his body. NBC News states, “It's unclear what prompted authorities to search the wooded area or what led them to determine initially that foul play was not suspected. The Smith County Sheriff’s Department did not reply to requests for comment.”
During the press conference (at about 4:30 on the video), Carter’s mother reads aloud a chilling text from her son expressing concern about an employer: “Me and the owner of this company are not seeing eye to eye, Mama. If anything happens to me, he’s responsible for it…he’s got these guys that want to kill me.” She received the message on October 1st, the day before Carter’s disappearance. Despite all of this, the Smith County Police Department released a statement asserting that they “had no reason to suspect foul play.”
Also worth noting, during the most recent protest in Taylorsville for Rasheed Carter, a demonstrator wrote “Rasheem’s life mattered on the street.” After the protest, Gabe Horn, Taylorsville’s chief of police posted a Facebook photo of the message in chalk being power washed off with the caption “Little clean up!!! 👋” (seen in the picture above).
My two cents: this is nothing but a lynching, with the police covering it all up. I’m not a detective, but it doesn’t take a fucking rocket scientist to tell that this was a murder. This is one of the most obvious cover-ups I’ve ever seen. And they wonder why we don’t feel safe with them, why we don’t trust them. White supremacists have been embedded in American law enforcement since the damn slave patrols in the south. Fuck the entire department and everyone involved in this horrific, disgusting act.
Here’s the Carter family’s GoFundMe. Please help if you can.
