my frustration with the bsd fandom is that their bias hatred towards mori causes them to be stubborn in not analyzing mori's character at all. yes, he has done bad shit, but 80% of the characters has as well. bsd is a morally gray world. they simplify him to "pedo sadist that fiddles children" like just wtf. the sa dazai headcanon and theories spread around and shown in the fics are just so disgusting and triggering. you're taking such an intersting, mysterious, and well written character and painting him as the source of every problem in the BSD universe (basically making him a scapegoat). it's illogical and stupid. you're allowed to dislike characters, just appreciate how well written they are and don't simplify them down/mischaracterize them due to your contempt towards them.

So the scenes of Erik at Hillerska don't make sense to me anymore.
Before S3, he was perceived by a half of the fandom as a Protective Older Brother, and for a good reason. Erik really tried to help Wilhelm, even though he himself didn't have the right answers for the questions Wilhelm was asking.
Back to S1E1. Why did Erik look so happy? Didn't he realize that his little brother was about to go through Forest Ridge initiation? Did he know that Forest Ridge boys excluded SA from the ritual? Or did he consider that experience necessary for Wille? Or was he sure that the students wouldn't do to Wille the same thing Erik did to them? If so, why? August was SAed, and he was a member of the royal family. Why didn't this perspective bother Erik at all?
Considering that it all would be extremely easy to resolve with one short scene, why didn't the creators do it? Erik could simply find a moment to have one-on-one talk with August to tell him "Don't do anything to Wille" or some version of this phrase. It would have let the audience know that something dark was happening in Hillerska and then The Erik Revelation wouldn't come as a complete shock.
Foreshadowing is an essential part of good storytelling. Things just can't come out of nowhere. Was it simply a case of bad writing? Or The Erik Revelation wasn't invented until S2 was shot, that's why there are no clues for it?

THREE HOURS ABDUCTED
"Get moving, bitch." Jangmi is shoved forward, nearly stumbling on the first step because of it but she manages to catch herself - just. "Boss doesn't care if you're beaten and bruised by the time we get there, as long as you are still useable." A shiver runs down her spine at the word because she knows exactly what he means and what her old owner has in store for her.
Nobody notices anything as the hybrid slowly walks up the stairs of the private jet. They don't notice because either they don't care or they are paid to not notice, a mix of both maybe, and all Jangmi can think about is how anyone will be able to find her.
They'll search the city. The country. Yet, how are they going to find her if the trail runs cold at the airport? So many flights, how will they know?
A tear silently runs down her face as she holds back the sob that's hurting the back of her throat. Reality settling in as she's pushed towards a seat and forced down, belt done for her so that she's secure and can't run away - not that she would get far. She's escaped once before, she's been able to live a mostly peaceful life without being under his thumb but now that she's back, older, he's never going to let her go.
Not again.

FOUR HOURS MISSING
The club is filled with the two packs and the club workers as everyone is trying to get a handle on the situation. Jongin has been pacing up and down the floor, phone to his ear as he makes calls to other people he knows that could potentially help with finding Jangmi.
There was no clear scent once they had left the apartment complex, the cameras only catching the man's body due to him wearing a hoodie and mask so that he couldn't be identified. Irene has been calling in favours to try and get the car's location, something to give them an idea of where she could be. "They could be anywhere," he mutters to himself, looking at the time and trying to calculate how long it would take for them to have left the city in four hours. Jongin looks at the hand that lands on his arm, a form of comfort before he turns his head to look at Channie. "I should have been there... if I was at the apartment..."
"You didn't know..." Channie says, nervous. Scared. Jongin had already broken his hand when they lost Jangmi's scent, the bones still healing and will be healed soon but he's worried about how the older is taking this. "You couldn't-"
"I could have gone with her to the store." Jongin cuts him off, running his free hand through his hair for the umpteenth time since they've been here. "She asked yesterday if I wanted and I said I couldn't." His hand tightens on his phone, the sound of the device starting to crunch as he closes his fist causes Channie to quickly hold his hand so that he doesn't break it. "I could have changed things around but I didn't." His voice breaks, the thought of her in the clutches of that man again causing him to think of the worst things possible.
Jongin's phone rings and the small moment of vulnerability that he was about to show is pushed aside to quickly answer, walking over to one of the tables Irene had set up for them to use. Channie stands there, shaking slightly before Alice heads over to take his hand and wordlessly pull him towards the table where Chan is looking over some maps. "He's stressed, puppy." She says, kissing her friend on top of his head, "he's blaming himself for not being there. He doesn't know where she is and with the amount of blood that was at her place... he's scared that she could be dead."
"She's not." Chan says, not looking away and neither know whether he's actually talking to them or himself by the fact that he muttered it under his breath.
Everyone is on high alert, stressed and scared but the two wolves seem to be taking it harder than anyone else. They were the ones she trusted the most, the ones that she would go to when scared and alone, and now, they can't don't know where she is and if she's okay. Jongin, in particular, is taking it the hardest. He's been with Channie for the last week, staying with him and barely going back to his apartment. He blames himself the most for not being there, for not making more time for his best friend and for putting work above her.
He blames himself more than anything for not protecting her when he should have.
"The airport," Jongin calls out, not waiting for anyone to answer as he searches for his keys. "The car was seen at the airport." He's about to run out the door, he doesn't think about taking anyone with him because everyone is moving too slow. Jongin can't be late again, he can't risk missing her so he needs to go. Now. That's all he thinks about as he's heading out the door. A plan? The wolf doesn't need one. He's not going to waste time listening to what he should do, or letting Chan possibly try and talk him out of killing the man.
He's got to go before she's gone again.
"Chris," Irene calls out to her lover who is listening to what Chan is saying, indicating with her head for him to follow after Jongin while mouthing her thanks as he jogs after the other wolf. Channie is about to follow but Alice holds his hand, smiling softly as she shakes her head because he's better to stay here, safe.
He's already worried sick about one of the people he cares about - it's best not to add another.
After the two wolves had left, their only lead being followed up on, Irene heads into her office, sitting down at her desk and reaching for the locked drawer at the bottom. "I never thought I'd have to use this." She says softly to herself, opening it up and pulling out a small box. Irene had almost forgotten about The Inbetween, something Lucifer showed her when she survived the transition.
It had scared her then and it still scares her now but... if they need a Hail Mary, maybe one of them could provide one.

FIVE HOURS MISSING
Jongin starts hitting the steering wheel in frustration at the person in front of him taking longer than they should be to pull into a car park. He's on edge, volatile, in a state that nobody hasn't seen him before and Chris would find enjoyment in this under any other circumstance.
"Old people."
"She's been in and out of that car park six times." Jongin snaps, his eye twitching as his knuckles turn white from the death grip he has on the steering wheel. "Hurry the fuck up!" He yells out the window, startling the old lady. It's a stark difference, the anger he's so easily letting show because Channie isn't there. He doesn't need to hold back which is both good and bad in this situation because it makes him unpredictable but also has him getting the job done. "Fucking hell."
"Yeah, scaring her will make her go faster." Chris deadpans as they wait a little longer before finally being able to find a park.
They rush inside, trying to find a scent but there are too many people. It took an hour to get to the airport from the club, another twenty minutes alone to find a car park and get to the terminal - it's been too long but Jongin won't admit it. He won't accept it. He's rushing through, calling out Jangmi's name as he turns every woman who looks like her from behind even though he knows they aren't who he's looking for.
While Jongin frantically searches, Chris walks over to speak to the security, watching the older wolf lose his mind as he slowly accepts that maybe, just maybe, they were too late. "The car you were looking for was rented from here and brought back two hours ago." The man says as he looks at his system, getting the details from the rental company and security footage from that time. "Is that her?" The screen is turned and Chris' lip curls as he sees the state Jangmi is in.
How could nobody have noticed her?
"Yo," Chris calls out, indicating for Jongin to come over to him. "Prepare yourself, man."
Jogging over, the wolf watches the guard flick through the footage, changing the cameras when they leave each view. He can see the staining of blood on her shirt, her tail tucked between her legs in fear and the way the man pushes her forward every few steps and with each one, he starts to growl, louder and louder.
She was there, she was there and scared and injured and absolutely nobody batted an eye. Airport security let them walk right through without checking anything, even while she was clearly still covered in blood - how the fuck did these idiots get a job if they aren't going to question anything? Jongin knows, logically he knows, that they would have been paid off but it doesn't make him feel any better about the situation he's faced with. The reality he now has to accept.
"It seems they were on a privately chartered flight and left-" There's a loud crash and everyone in the nearby vicinity freezes as they see the cause of it. Jongin, in a fit of anger, threw a sign at the nearest vending machine and is standing in place looking like he could kill someone.
He could and he will.

TEN HOURS ABDUCTED
She's sore, sticky, smelly and so incredibly sore but that doesn't stop her kidnapper from pulling her up out of her seat the moment they can stand up and forcing her towards the door. "Nearly home." He says, the smile in his voice making her shiver in disgust.
She doesn't know where she is. She knows from the time they've been in the air, she's not in Korea anymore and that means any chance, all chance of her being found is gone.
They'll try, she knows that. They'll try their hardest to find her but the world is a big place and how, how could they possibly know where she is when she doesn't even know. "Please... you're hurting me..." She sobs as he pushes her across the tarmac, the place where he keeps pushing starting to get sore from the force.
Crack! It's unexpected, her vision blacks out for a moment and all she feels is pain all over as she squeezes her eyes shut until it's over.
"That's hurting you. Now, get up and smile pretty, the boss is on the other side of that gate, waiting for you."

sisterhood=panslavism and russian singing in ukrainian=cultural appropriation are the main points of criticism towards vesna's song. i cannot speak of the latter beside saying were it me i wouldn't feel comfortable singing it, but i don't think the former was meant to come across that way. czech women kinda get what's happening to ukrainian women now. there's a collective memory of the 'friendly help' invasion by warsaw pact armies in 68 and twenty years of very founded fear to walk alone, and even further back, of the 'liberation' by red army in 45 when the luckier families hid their young wherever they could. kremlin sends an army and women's suffering follows, and we remember that. i could go into depressing detail about the staging but point is... however bad the wording is, i think this is what it tries to say. or maybe i'm biased and overanalyzing, which is probably more likely. i just don't think there was malicious intent in making the song.

I really like A&W. Finally some edge. It has a grunge-y cut and I can imagine Cobain singing it. It's so ominous and dark and I have never heard "rape" from Lana before, let alone her dragging the phenomenon of victim blaming in her music. Also, that instrumental part?? So disjointed and messy. I also like the electronic elements.

If there's one thing we know about Dirk, it's that he tends to be rather cold to everyone around him. He cares about his friends at times sure, but at the very least he's always shown to be a not-very-caring person. We all know how Dirk is a paradox clone of Dave's abusive brother, Bro Strider. Dave has even stated something along the lines of "You may end up like him in the future, but I don't care" when Dave talks about his trauma (put a pin on it, I'll bring up that conversation later). Dirk shows several times to have a deep loathing of himself because several other versions of him, say Brobot and many others, were all shitty.
Being alone for so many years, he had the mindset that he was doomed to end up the same way. An abuser, an awful person. So he does so and keeps himself from making any close friendships or relationships. This doesn't mean that he was not manipulative, however, quite the opposite. He would unintentionally hurt those who cared about him, his most common victim being his friend and later boyfriend, Jake English.
But, Jake wasn't clean either, he too was a problem in their relationship, which resulted in the two breaking up not too long after. But the breakup clearly hurt them, especially Dirk. Going back to the point I made before, Dave and Dirk have their first heart to heart with eachother. Which led to Dave coming out about his experience with Bro and how cruel and abusive he was, saying how he hated calling him a hero, hated seeing blood, until this led to a tender hug between the two. Which, to be honest, was the first hug Dirk and Dave have ever gotten in their lives.
Tumblr media
But, this news is probably what made him feel worse. He was under the assumption that his fear was true, that he was doomed to be a terrible person. After all, he was cloned from the very person who hurt and traumatized someone he cared about. That stuff gets to you, not to mention the hinted sexual abuse Dave had also went through. Dirk believed that he was a bad person, even when he wasn't.
He had the potential to change that, go against that fear and become to exact opposite. But he failed to do so and let his fear take over, resulting in him hurting more people. Was Dirk abusive? No, but was he manipulative? I wouldn't say so?
That doesn't make his actions right, even if he did bad things. You don't have to be a bad person to do bad things, and what Dirk did didn't make him an inherently bad person. If anything he isn't good nor evil, he's just neutral. Say what you want about Dirk Strider, but I don't believe he was an abuser nor an abusive partner. Yes, his actions were bad and what he did and continued to do (like strive for attention from Jake to s clingy degree) was wrong, but Jake was also hurting the relationship with him straying away and not communicating with Dirk.
I don't believe Dirk was trying to hurt Jake, he wasn't trying to be cruel. If anything he was just letting his mind get the better of him without thinking about what his actions might be doing to others. His conversations with Jake time and time again never felt abusive, while a tad complicated, he was never trying to hurt Jake.

Hold up one second, if you're really taking spooky month requests atm, then are there any rules or conditions that we should be aware of? Do they have to involve certain fandoms and such? And are crossovers also allowed?
Thank you so much for asking! That is something I should have clarified in my original post.
(For anyone wondering what the question is referring to, you can find the original post here.)
Rule-wise, my expectations are:
Keep things safe for work and in good taste. (Nothing explicit or political.)
Nothing morally questionable, hateful, or majorly triggering. (e.g.: homophobia, racism, adult/minor relationships, SA, ED, etc.)
Minor amounts of blood, alcohol, or cigarettes are permitted but may be marked by a spoiler to avoid hurting sensitive viewers.
I do not currently have any conditions other than just following my rules. I will be posting a lot of spooky art, but you are not limited to spooky suggestions.
On fandoms, my blog has primarily featured Beetlejuice in all adaptations: (Cartoon, musical, movie, and I hope to get around to Graveyard Revue.)
My most popular posts involve Betty-Juice in different situations/outfits, but I will draw any character you request.
For viewers outside of the Beetlejuice fandom, I am also interested in:
Good Omens
Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Drag Queens/Fabulous Ladies.
Welcome Home
I will do original prompts/designs based on given ideas, but I suggest sending an appropriate visual aid.  (Messages containing images that violate my rules will be blocked and ignored.)
Lastly, I am totally cool with character crossovers! Aziraphale having a picnic with Barbara Maitland? Sounds fun. Dr. Frankenfurter and Bettyjuice showing off some stunning looks? You're on. (Please do not use my specific examples… unless you really want to)
Thank you so much for asking this, I hope I’ve cleared up as much as possible.
If anyone has further questions, please use the comment feature so that others can easily see what’s been answered.

Summary: Sebastian takes the initiative.
SINS OF DENIAL
Sebastian had a beautiful house. Daniel didn’t know what he expected but the not-so-modest size paired with pretty modest decoration somehow reflected Sebastian’s thought process throughout the years perfectly. He probably bought this house when he was still in his twenties, hungry for sparseness and luxury. With the passing of time, he became more tame, modest and simple in the best way possible. There were Mick’s belongings scattered around, too, which made the scenery much more homely. Even though Daniel had been incredibly tense, this place gave him a secondary comfort, originating from someone else’s unapologetic vulnerability of opening their house to one other.
They wrapped up the hiking trip a bit earlier than planned and went back to civilization that morning. Mick seemed disappointed when Sebastian announced that they are going to cut the trip short but didn’t protest. No one, including Daniel, had any idea what he was planning but he was herding them with a sense of urgency that no one dared to suggest otherwise.
After they made it to the house around breakfast time, Sebastian sent Mick to get breakfast for the three of them and locked himself in his office for a while. Mick was getting more and more concerned with Sebastian’s behaviour. Daniel knew those two were connected beyond comprehension but the way Mick was searching Sebastian’s face to understand what is bothering him and getting clumsier each moment without an answer somehow felt too intimate for Daniel to see.
When Mick came back from the store with breakfast ingredients, Sebastian was still at his office and Daniel was trying to busy himself by flipping the books on the TV table in the living room to pass time.
“Is he still there?”
Daniel nodded. It was obvious that Mick wasn’t used to Sebastian acting like this over anything. He looked like a kicked puppy when Sebastian slammed his office door after saying that he didn’t want to be disturbed for a while.
“You know what’s going on, don’t you?”
Daniel hesitated before answering. Mick wasn’t an idiot. He must have picked up the fact that the air changed right after Daniel spoke to Sebastian privately during the hike. He didn’t want to insult Mick’s perceptiveness but he also couldn’t answer Mick’s further questions. He already took a big risk by talking to Sebastian about it. Furthermore, the last thing he wanted to do was alter George’s image in Mick’s eyes just after they became teammates, in a way. George deserved better than his secrets being spilt in an unconstructive manner.
“I am not sure, Mick, I do but… I don’t. I know it sounds stupid.”
Mick shook his head and attempted to smile.
“Okay, it’s okay. Is there… anything I can do, at least?”
Daniel smiled genuinely for the first time in a while. Mick was confused but he could still understand the urgency and his first reaction was to offer his help. Daniel felt guilty for thinking that he and Sebastian might have wanted to hurt George in some way if they knew the truth.
“I don’t think so, mate, but thanks for offering.”
Mick nodded and started putting things away. Daniel didn’t want to watch and make him uncomfortable but he was the only moving thing in the huge living area.
Not long after Mick’s arrival, the office’s door swung open, instantly grabbing their attention.
“Daniel, you have all your belongings with you, right?”
Daniel looked at his huge hiking bag, discarded somewhere close to the doorway. He nodded.
“Great, can you please make a smaller bag, for, uhm, a two days trip? Do you have any summer clothes?”
Daniel wasn’t sure he was following.
“Summer what? Seb, what’s going on?”
Sebastian pinched his nose with impatience as if everything should’ve been obvious from what he just said.
“You and I are flying to Monaco shortly.”
Daniel didn’t know who looked more confused at Sebastian’s statement. Mick still had a piece of toast in hand, a butterknife in other and was looking at Sebastian, mouth gaped. Daniel knew he didn’t look any different.
“Seb, I don’t understand…”
“I’ll explain everything on the plane. Schatz, are you going to be okay for two days?”
Mick still looked very uncomfortable and uneasy but he nodded.
“I’ll get the dogs from your friend. We’ll be fine.”
Sebastian smiled warmly.
“I’ll explain everything when it’s time. Now we need to eat quickly, the flight is in five hours.”
—--------------------
They ended up in a small plane that somehow had a business section where they were finally alone. Daniel had been biting his nails since they took off from Switzerland. He ended up borrowing a couple of shirts and very practical-looking but equally ugly cargo shorts from Sebastian.
“I am very sorry that I planned all this without discussing it with you before, I had to think fast.”
Sebastian was sipping beer from a small bottle. He declined the offer because his stomach was already in knots with anticipation and he very much wanted to keep his breakfast down.
“It’s okay, mate, now are you going to tell me what the hell is going on?”
Sebastian took another sip while Daniel waited impatiently for an answer.
“We are going to visit some old friends.”
Daniel’s patience was running thin. His sigh must have alarmed Sebastian because he put the bottle on the drink holder on the side of his seat.
“We will pay a visit to Nico and Jenson.”
Daniel knew he demanded answers in the first place but Sebastian was leaving him with more questions every time he answered something.
“Uhm, why?”
“Okay, let’s try to start from the beginning,”
Sebastian stopped to run his hand through his beard to think. Daniel was still impatient but he was also concerned that he will end up with more questions than answers.
“Do you know why Nico retired in 2016?”
Daniel wasn’t sure if leaving himself to Sebastian’s choice of narration was a good idea but he decided to play along.
“I suppose… He got the championship, and he demanded more from the team. Mercedes declined his request to put him in the same place as Lewis. Then he said he wanted to spend some time for himself and his family. Right?”
Sebastian nodded.
“That’s what was said to the media. People even speculated that he couldn’t bear the mental pressure of challenging Lewis. But it was all a lie. I mean I don’t know if it was that stressful or not but it wasn’t why he retired.”
Daniel was confused. He knew the culture of conspiracy ran deeply in their sport but he always thought a glimpse of truth also surfaced with all those gossip. At the time, it was a big story and it didn’t seem realistic that they could get it so wrong.
“It wasn’t about Lewis?”
Sebastian shook his head.
“No, it was about Toto.”
Daniel’s confusion was suddenly tainted by the suspicion of something that he refused to chase.
“What?”
“They were together, for a long while. I think Toto chased him since he debuted in Williams. I didn’t care too much, I was fighting my own battles. But at some point, Jenson drew my attention to it. According to him, the guy was obsessed.”
Daniel opened his mouth to speak but stopped a second after. He wasn’t sure how much Sebastian wanted to reveal but he could ask clever questions to make it easier. And after all, it was Sebastian who started this wild goose chase, therefore Daniel could assume that he was willing to give some information.
“What do you mean ‘obsessed?’”
Sebastian reached for the bottle without thinking and took another sip.
“I don’t know first-hand because Nico and I were never close. I think he…He hated me for teaming up with Micheal. Their relationship was pretty tense when they were teammates and I was obviously closer to Micheal. But Jenson mentioned some things… that made me very uncomfortable. He said they had big fights very often and…”
Sebastian got closer to Daniel. Their section of the cabin was empty and he didn’t suspect someone could hear their conversation from behind the cabin crew curtain. Still, Sebastian chose to lower his voice.
“He said Toto would hurt Nico. Things that wouldn’t be seen in public. I knew he always wooed Nico and thought maybe he was exaggerating. But I saw glimpses of what he described. Some bruises here and there. Maybe some limping. Also, Nico would rarely socialise with his peers and towards the end, he got more explosive, more aggressive. Everyone attributed it to the competition between him and Lewis but I knew both of them. Lewis would never push someone over the edge with such cruelty. And they were friends once, I know he would never.”
Daniel found himself speechless. He hated to admit but the resemblances were unveiling themselves in front of his eyes one by one. George used to be best friends with Albon. Daniel would roll his eyes when he saw them together in the paddock because they had that glimpse of genuine friendship, something Daniel could only get close to with Max. Something far-fetched and dangerous for drivers of their kind. He also saw him with Lando, Nick and the youngsters in general until he did not. Everyone interpreted it as an intense focus on success with his move to Mercedes but Daniel had his doubts. Performance was a costly thing but leaving your connections with people behind was not healthy, and was possibly a sign of a self-facilitated downward spiral.
George became more aggressive towards his failures on track. He skipped parties, he skipped brunches to ‘catch up with sim data’ but Daniel wasn’t sure anymore. Completed with his aggressive behaviour towards Daniel’s help the last time he saw him, the once blurry picture was getting clearer.
“Coming to the end of his career, Nico became someone else, completely. He exercised to death and tried to lose weight and muscle obsessively. We barely saw him around the paddock and no one was hearing from him personally except for Jenson. He would always speak the half-truth about Nico but anyone could see how much it devastated him. He was drunk after one race, probably mid-2016 and he told me something I could never forget.”
Daniel held his breath. He didn’t remember when he had been this invested in a story before.
“What did he say?”
Sebastian scratched the back of his head, the heat of the conversation flushing his cheeks.
“I don’t… I’m not sure if it’s my place to tell you. But Jenson will never so I might as well.”
“Seb, please.”
It wasn’t even curiosity anymore on Daniel’s part. He was a detective, fighting for clues of this tangled mess in places that never occurred to him.
“He said… He said Toto was controlling Nico, like a puppet. Toto promised him a higher ground in the team; in return, Nico was happy to do anything he said. Even when these wishes… hurt him. Obviously, Nico believed that no one else would believe in him so he might as well take his chances. I didn’t understand at first, I thought it was some sort of sexual bribery but Jenson nearly punched me in the face when I voiced it. He was sure Toto was playing some mind games on Nico, using his insecurities and his half-mad image in the media. He claimed he hurt Nico, physically and forced him to… do things. I didn’t want to believe, because, you know, Nico was an easy-to-believe villain. Famous father, arrogant, beautiful, and rude. But then he showed some pictures on his phone.”
Daniel's mouth was dry. Suddenly, in his head, he was back at George’s place, helping him collect himself while trying not to look at his naked, battered body.
“I don’t want to give any details but it was bad, very bad. From that moment, I never suspected him. Long story short, Jenson somehow convinced Nico to leave. I don’t know how he did it. He always talked about how impossible it is to make Nico see but he managed. Nico never looked back. I don’t think he had enough fighting left in him to try and get Toto punished. And imagine, he would probably be publicly humiliated for admitting a such thing. He was never a person who would easily be regarded as a victim in people’s eyes. He just left. Jenson did too.”
Sebastian fell silent. Daniel had questions still but he needed all these to sink in first. George wasn’t Toto’s first victim. If he could do all those to someone with a considerable presence in motorsports and a legacy, Daniel didn’t want to know what he could do to George. He knew he only scratched the surface and he had to force himself to go further.
“How did you know George had something going on with Toto?”
Seb was looking at the back of the empty seat in front of him, eyes unfocused.
“Educated guess, I believe. I had an idea about what kind of a man Toto is and it wasn’t difficult to connect the dots with your ‘hypothetical’ questions. You had every right to get angry when you thought I knew what was going on with George. I am not going to say that I didn’t try to turn a blind eye to Nico’s problem but he had Jenson. And when you came to me, asking for help, I knew I couldn’t ignore it this time.
Daniel turned his eyes to the window next to him. Clouds were effortlessly flowing outside, beyond everyone’s reach. He wished he was a cloud too, somewhere nothing, no knowledge of any tragedy could touch him, maybe with George on his side.
“And what are we hoping to achieve by talking to them?”
Sebastian scoffed and turned his attention back to Daniel. It was almost like he was talking to the emptiness, confessing for the past couple of minutes. Daniel understood why it was difficult for him as well. The sin of turning a blind eye was catching up with him, with a different face.
“If we called them, Jenson would hang up on us, for sure. He has been very protective of Nico, especially since they got married. I don’t think he would be happy for us to open old wounds where Nico could hear us. Like this, if he doesn’t physically kick us out, we can make our case. Who knows, maybe Nico could even help us if he accepts to listen to us at all after we mention Toto. I thought… I thought it was worth a try.”
Daniel nodded solemnly. Nico and Jenson always intimidated him a little. His seniors while racing, behind an iron curtain of their marriage after a very small wedding he was only invited after someone cancelled. They were unknown and powerful in a covert way. Daniel didn’t want to upset anyone or trigger someone’s traumas.
But then, there was George. George with his eyes without the light of life in them, terrified George, beaten George, violated George. If there was any way Daniel could figure out how to help, he had to take the shot. And to his gratitude, Sebastian took the initiative to make it easier by feeding him the information he never hoped to get.
“Thank you, Seb, for this, for everything.”
Sebastian just nodded with a small smile and their section fell silent except for the rumble of the plane’s engines.

Dozens of women were arrested from their homes and refugee centers, taken to Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza, their hijabs were removed from their heads, blindfolded, and they were searched. Many of them were subjected to sexual harassment, beatings and abuse. [@/mhdksafa on X. 12/28/23.]
I won't forgive ANYONE who calls themselves a feminist -for remaining silent about this genocide -you ARE complicit. During any and all instances of institutionalized and systematic violence, oppression, and abuse being executed by all imperial and colonial forces around the world -for you to say nothing -shame on ALL of you for cherry picking your 'issues.'

In replies to my post a couple of people have expressed the opinion that Erik didn't care about Wille going through rough initiation/saw it as a necessary experience for his brother.
@raincitygirl76: "Erik wasn’t worried about Wilhelm’s upcoming initiation in 1.01 because Erik got initiated as a first year himself, and it was probably nearly as or just as brutal as the initiation he subjected August, Nils, Vincent etc to. It’s Wilhelm’s turn to suffer. In a few years it’ll be his turn to inflict the suffering. So Erik isn’t worried about Wilhelm.
That’s how hazing perpetuates itself. Most people who went through it and survived convince themselves it wasn’t as bad as they remember. So they pack their own kids (or in this case their kid brother) off to the place where they got hazed, and they don’t see it as a problem.
Erik would be considered a lousy Forest Ridge graduate if he gave his little brother a heads up beforehand that it would be brutal. Or if Erik asked August to go easy on Wilhelm. Erik doing so would imply to the current third years that Erik thinks Wilhelm is weak. If he cant get through the typical initiation unlike all the other boys, is Wilhelm even worthy of belonging to Forest Ridge?
So no, Erik would neither warn Wilhelm nor intervene with August."
I see how it could work in real life but it doesn't work for a piece of media. Because it is the opposite of good storytelling. Good storytelling means introducing important themes in the beginning, not two episodes before a series finale. Good storytelling means including hints and clues that start to make sense only after the reveals are made.
SA plotline turned out to be crucial for how conflicts in the show had been resolved. It was an important if not the main factor behind Wille's intention to renounce his title in the future. Therefore, SA plotline should have been treated as such since the very first episode.
If it was conceived as pivotal at the very beginning, we would see the signs of it.
For example:
Erik wouldn't look like a happy idiot while in Hillerska. Maybe he wouldn't have a talk with August or warn Wille, but we would see something was bothering him;
during the parents' weekend some of them could express their concern over initiation rituals back in their days;
the initiation August, Nils and Vincent went through should have been discussed — by them or by other senior students;
the warnings Hillerska supposedly got in the last decade would have been mentioned;
when Henry was talking about Hillerska's problem with applications or when the headmistress was insisting on August paying tuition, Hillerska's financial situation could have been connected to its toxic culture;
Sara's initiation was a great moment to give the audience a hint: yes, rituals of The Manor House are crazy, but they are nothing in comparison to the Forest Ridge ones.
None of that was done. A crucial plotline has been consistently treated as backdrop to the main plot. Why?
I don't follow interviews of the cast and creators, but my understanding is that Lisa Ambjörn has been actively participating in shaping a certain narrative around her writing. She specifically insists that the plot of the whole show had been established even before S1 started shooting.
SA plotline and the glaring absence of foreshadowing around it is just one example that makes me question this narrative.

what if I were to touch your partner? Keep him hidden away, enjoying the screams until he's nothing but a crumbled mess? Then drop him off at your doorstep~?

Grabs the faceless by the throat, summoning a barrage of knives pointed all pointed at the anon.
"Do it, and you'll never touch anyone else ever again."
He tightened his grip just a little, causing flames to surround each and every knife.
"Do I make myself clear?"

Listen!
There is something super sweet and healing and hopeful about Gale, "I was groomed and still don't realize it and had 'sex' with the Goddess of Magic via mental/spiritual/astral projection regularly. Also, I'm kind of addicted to magic." Deciding to approach you first to flirt with "You being all sweaty after battle is so fucking hot."
Because it's Real. It's physical. Yeah, it's horny, but it's the realization that the mortal realm can be equal to the godly one, if not superior, despite it being different. Like, he's not Losing something by not being with a God and he can heal.

All of you need to give Viv an apology right now it was not sexualised or romanticised in episode 4 at all. Sure there were some parts that were graphic, but it's an adult animation, and a big part of Angel's character. In my opinion, it was handled so well in Poison and the parts before and after. It showed how bad of a person Val is, and Angel's problems and abuse
