Remind me again how antis are supposed to be good and morally superior people. This is not just "ship discourse." Antis literally target, bully, harass, stalk, doxx, and suibait proshippers over fictional content. Idc, how disgusting or distasteful you find some fictional content. This type of abusive behavior is never okay.

It's always antis I see with so much hate and violence. When proshippers talk about antis it's never with this much competent, anger or hate. There may be some bad apples as with all communities, but proshippers in general want to be left alone to enjoy their fandom and online experiences.

This is why people who view themselves "above" and more "mature" over the proship and anti "discourse" should actually learn about these communities and topics.

Antis are very abusive. There is multiple evidence of countless behavior such as the ones shown above. And they appear everyday in the proship tags (mostly due to tumblr's tagging system) but regardless, again, such pro violence and suibaiting is not okay.

It's not hard to just put a simple dni if it bothers you that much or just block and filter things and people. You will have to continuously do this and it's tiring I know. It happens to me all the time where things I may not want to see pop up. Just keep curating your internet experience. Do this without telling literal people and sometimes minors at that to literally kill themselves. If you spread so much verbal hate and pro violent rhetoric you're not the good person you think you are.

All these tags came from one anti post and all from different users. This really is just the normal abusive behavior from antis. Rarely, do they advocate to not harass other people or actually post anything helpful to actually protect people online such as this post I made:

I did weigh the pros and cons for a long time and come very close, but currently I'm getting necessary treatment and also have been removed to a place where I am getting the care and comfort I should have had before now. So killing myself is off the table for the foreseeable future.

You, on the other hand, I can't help but look at with rank curiosity. Why on earth would you see the posts of an extremely suicidal person and encourage them to kill themselves? What kind of bad online take would justify doing that? Is this something to do with the fact that the current internet discourse thinks that wishing death on the "right" people is some kind of righteous allyship? It isn't. It's just more cruelty and violence.

Or maybe you just wanted to be cruel without consequence, because you think you have no power in the world other than to make someone else hurt more.

Well for one thing, you're shit out of luck because I'm currently holding a six week old Lab puppy in my lap, so the only pain I'm capable of feeling is her attempts to use my fingers as a chew toy. But even if I didn't have a lapful of drooly sunshine, I wouldn't be hurt or disgusted. I'm just concerned for you. I think you must be in a very dark place to send strangers messages like this. And I don't really believe it made you feel that much better, whether or not you even read this response.

I am very sorry for whatever hurt brought you so low. But please don't let it make you into a thing that can only inflict more of the same on the rest of the world. Granted, it's a pretty fucked up place, but the great thing about it is that you get make it a little better for other people sometimes.

😬 A headcanon about the worst thing they’ve done

Izuku doesn’t like to think about his Middle School years very much. Understandably, really, because of how terrible they were.

The worst was actually in his first year, not his third, surprisingly enough. In his first year some of the older students had scented him out like sharks smelling blood and had made it their mission to put him in his place. Kacchan had always been bad, of course, but the group of boys that followed him home after school making him run and duck down alleyways to make sure they passed, crouching behind dumpsters and stained cardboard boxes until he was sure they were gone, were worse.

They were the first group to leave a spider lily on his desk. Blood red and obscene in its beauty when compared to what it stood for.

And Izuku was tired of running. Tired of hiding.

So he stayed in the alley that night. And the next. And the next. He didn’t go to school. He didn’t go home. He didn’t come out when he heard the boys pass the alleyway calling his name with desperation coating their voices.

He came back after a full week to his mom’s hysterical sobs and the boys never bothered him again. Other kids left the flowers, hissed words at him as he walked through the halls, hurt him with burning hands and cruel smiles, but those three wouldn’t so much as look at him without remembering that horrible week where they thought that he wasn’t coming back and it was all their fault.

💝 A headcanon about their love language

For a long time, Shouto didn’t know he had a love language. He was never allowed to build relationships, even with the people that lived in his own house, and what relationships he did see were… complicated at best. It wasn’t until after the Sports Festival and seeing his mom and again and befriending Izuku that he he had even heard the term love language.

(It had been from Ochako who had shrugged when Shouto had asked why Izuku poured so much of himself into analyzing their quirks despite the pile of homework untouched on his desk and the bags under his eyes. “It’s how he shows he cares. Like a love language, you know?”

He didn’t.)

After he learns about it he starts to see it more, in how Fuyumi fusses over him when he goes home, piling just a little more food on his plate before asking how he’s managing his homework, in Natsuo who is full of playful smiles and gentle hair ruffles (forever mindful to come in from his right side not his left as people’s hands near his scar still made him jumpy after all these years), in Tsu’s insistence on covering his lap with a blanket whenever they all settled down for a movie night, and in Tenya’s strict adherence to rules and protocols to make sure none of them got hurt.

He notices it in himself too, in the way he rests his head on Fuyumi’s shoulder while she cleans the dishes in a way that’s not quite a hug but not quite not a hug, in the way he nudges an ankle against Natsuo’s when they simians site by side, in the way he keeps his left side to Tsu when she settles in with him, and the way he lets the fingers of his right hand be captured by Tenya to be pressed against his temple whenever the other boy has a headache.

Touch and affection isn’t something he ever thought he would be comfortable with, but his friends and family don’t seem to mind that he doesn’t, can’t, hug them more often than not. They understand how he shows his love either way.

Urgh so many antis in the proship tags. I swear I blocked like 50 of them. Most of them seem to be new accounts. I did hear from fellow proshippers that with school out, antis would be more prevalent, urgh. And you can just imagine their vile dni (proshippers kys burn, etc), you know, the usual.

Luckily, now the proship tags look as they should. Filled with our community 💖

Too bad it's a constant game of having to block antis because they are dangerous to be around what with the harrassment and doxxing possibility just because of iCkY and gRosS ships and fiction.

Genuinely I absolutely, thoroughly hate the way people have gotten in regard to "You can write fic about dark subjects, but don't ever go into detail about those subjects" (if they even concede that people are "allowed" to write about anything unpleasant at all).

Because I just read an excellent one that was...very fucked-up! Actually!!! But it was also a nuanced and gripping examination of abuse--switching between the POV of the abuser (who lies to themselves about the reality of their actions, making their POV sections all the more uncomfortable for it), their victim (who lies to themselves in a different way, by refusing both to acknowledge their own victimhood or to consider the ways they later come to continue that cycle) and, eventually, an outside party (who is the only one aware of the true reality, and tries (and fails) to help, through the comparatively powerless ways that are available to them).

And this thing was not reserved in any way regarding its depiction of all of this. It didn't cut away cleanly after a vague uncomfortable comment for the reader to fill in every single blank for themselves. There were even times where the victim themselves was under the impression that they were genuinely enjoying what happened, because they convinced themselves that they had control over a situation they never had control over!!! And I know that...certain people. Would absolutely accuse this fic of "romanticizing abuse" because of these things. Which I think is an INCREDIBLY unfair assessment of it, especially since most of the time the discussion of "romanticizing [x]" is less a discussion and more, "I don't care what the author intended, this story simply shouldn't exist because this is incontrovertible proof they are a horrible person in reality, also they should die."

I was having a lot of lag on mc so my friend had me screenshot my task manager and send it to him

and I sent it to him privately (and therefore in confidence)

and his roommate (who I was doing PVP with prior to this) just told the group chat what was in the screenshot and was being overall rude when I told him I didn't appreciate it considering I sent it to my friend in confidence

and I privately messaged my friend again saying the other guy made me wanna take all the pills in the house and the guy pinged me in the group and told me to do it

my friend talked to him about it but I don't think anythings gonna change

but he also said if he does it again then he would mute him for a few days so ig that's an upside to having a pseudo-older brother

Honestly I don’t think people understand how serious others take things. Saying “it’s just a joke” or other things can really have a negative impact on others. It’s honestly one huge downside to the internet. So much can be said anonymously or behind a computer screen and there’s such little action done about it. I’m really sorry you had to deal with this and I hope the guy learns something. It’s not funny to say things like that at all let alone when you don’t know someone’s triggers or life.
