For writing, how bout the moment the chain meets Twilight’s childhood friend Ilia. Like how’d they respond to how they are together (friend or relationship it’s up to you) how Twilight is around ilia…..enjoy
ANON THIS IS SUCH A CUTE IDEA! Ilia is such a girlboss and I’m surprised that there aren’t more works out there that have her in it. AND TWI??? Even though he’s a big scary fella on the outside I’m sure he’s the biggest cinnamon roll on the inside. IM SURE HE GETS SO FLUSTERED—
As a side note, I had to keep myself from making Twilight say “Yer darn tootin”, and I can’t tell if I’m pleased or disappointed in myself. Anyways, here’s the food:
Home to You
Twilight groans as he picks his face up from the dirt. He was absolutely certain that the Goddess had it out for him, as his experiences of going through a portal often leave him with a mouthful of mud and grass. To add insult to injury, Time thinks it’s hilarious, and often gives little quips about it whenever can. In fact, it’s Time who hoists him up by his baldric, grinning like a child.
“Didn’t know you went vegan, Rancher!” He says, voice barely hiding a laugh. Twilight growls, spits out the leaves in his mouth, and slaps Time’s hand off his shoulder. Standing, he adjusts his wolf pelt with as much dignity as he could muster. His irritation is short-lived, however, when the familiar scent of his Hyrule makes itself apparent. His heart speeds up, excitement fluttering in his stomach as a wide grin grows on his face. It’s been months since he’s been home. Months! It’s been longer still since he’s been in Ordon Village, as most of the Chain’s adventures lead them primarily to Hyrule Castle.
Twilight turns towards Hyrule, who currently has his hands on his knees and looks like he is about to hurl into the bushes.
“Chin up, Roolie!” He grins, “You can’t be feeling sick when you’re in Ordon! You still have yet to try the famous pumpkin soup!” Hyrule groans, doing his best to settle his stomach. “It’s made with the heartiest pumpkins,” —Hyrule lurches— “The creamiest goat cheese,”—Hyrule turns greener— “And to top it off, the nutrient-filled head of a Rockfish! Eyes and all!” Hyrule finally slaps a hand to his mouth.
“Please stop, I’m begging you,” he groans weakly. Twilight relents and wraps an arm around the smaller man’s shoulders.
“Sorry, I’m just happy to be home!”
Wild picks his way over to his mentor, eyes bright and curious.
“So, where do we go from here? Your village, I’m guessing?” He asks, pulling a twig from his hair and looking at it thoughtfully.
“That’s right, Cub,” Twilight replies, snatching the twig away before Wild can put it in his mouth.
“Then let’s get going! It’s about time I sleep in an actual bed without you know who drooling on me,” Legend butts in and give a pointed stare at Sky, who merely shrugs and smiles. “And,” Legend continues, “I would like at least one night of my life not having to worry about getting mauled by one of Wild’s stupid bears! My hat still hasn’t recovered.” He looks forlornly at his cap, which has six very conspicuous-looking holes in it. Twilight claps him on the shoulder.
“Not to worry, Leg. We’ve got the best bear-free accommodations in the region, and it’s only a half day journey. We’ll make it by nightfall if we start now!” Twilight starts walking through the trees as the others eagerly fall in behind him, spurred on by the promise of beds to sleep on and a warm evening meal.
It takes the group less than half a day’s journey, Twilight’s excitement quickening their pace. The sun, although low in the sky, has yet to touch the horizon as the enter through the village gates. Twilight pauses and takes a big breath in, the familiar scent of sun warmed gardens and grazing animals chasing away any remnants of homesickness. His eyes are drawn towards two small figures rushing towards him
“Liiiiiiiiinnnkkk!” Their voices bounce with each step as the two boys run down the dirt path.
“Malo! Talo!” He laughs, spreading his arms as the boys all but tackle him. When they finally let go, they bounce around him, pulling at his trousers and hands. “How you both have grown!”
The others watch on in mild amusement as their resident tough-guy is harassed by children. The brothers’ loud voices alert the other children in the village, and it’s not long before Twilight has a kid perched on his shoulders, another hooked to his hip, and two others wrapped around each of his legs, weighing down his steps. It’s like this that he makes his way towards his house, running in to other residents of the town along the way. Pergie and Jaggle both wave from their doorstep, and call in Malo and Talo for dinner. The two leave reluctantly, but not before forcing Twilight to promise to show them more bow skills. Rusl greets him with a firm handshake and a pat on the back and Uli pulls him into a crushing hug, planting a kiss on his cheek.
“We know you’re tired dear. We’ve kept your home clean and tidy while you were away, but if you need anything at all, you know where to find us!” Uli winks. She turns to the remaining kids clinging onto Twilight. “And the rest of you, shoo! Link and his friends need rest. You can see him tomorrow!” Twilight nods his thanks, and gestures to the others to follow, trudging the rest of the way to his home.
Opening the door, he smile and beckons everyone in. Wind and Warriors make a beeline for the pile of pillows in the corner, shoving each other out of the way, as Sky gently rests the Master Sword against a cabinet and promptly collapses on the rug.
“Make yourselves comfortable. Wild, can you whip up something—”
“Already on it,” Wild says as he heads back outside.
“Thanks. And please, my home is your home, so don’t feel like—”
“Link?” A soft voice floats down from the loft. A sudden quiet descends upon the group, seven pairs of eyes staring up at the figure of a young woman with gentle eyes and short, lopsided hair. Twilight, the only one not immediately facing the loft, slowly turns around, eyes wide and breath short. When he sees her, his brain promptly short-circuits.
“Ah…I…uh,” he struggles. Finally, he just lifts his hands and simply signs hi. She laughs (like bells, he thinks) and slides down the ladder before approaching him and putting her hands on her hips.
“Hi, farmboy,” she smiles, and Twilight can’t do anything but sheepishly rub the back of his neck. This was his downfall, as this gesture was another attribute that every Link shared, and by Hylia they know what it means.
“You have a girlfriend?” Warriors all but yells.
“Uh—” Twilight is cut off by Time, who comes up behind him and rests his hands on Twilights shoulders.
“Hi. I’m Time. Welcome to the family. I’m happy to see my son is not a lost cause.” Twilight is mortified and buried his face in his hands as Ilia merely laughs and raises an eyebrow. Legend leans on the wall next to her.
“I’m not going to say I’m surprised. I’m not a surprised type of guy. But how in Hylia’s name did you get past the wet dog smell?”
“Wet dog? I think it smells more like goats,” Four chimes in. Wind nods, a shit-eating grin appearing on his face.
“Not to mention he eats like a wild animal!” The Sailor chortles.
“And snores like one too,” Hyrule mumbles.
“ENOUGH!” Twilight wails and shoos everyone back with his hands. His face and neck were red, redder than anyone in the group had ever seen, and the group took far too much delight in seeing their usually broody brother squirm in embarrassment. Twilight turns back to Ilia, unable to meet her eyes.
“This, um, this is the group I’ve been traveling with. You haven’t met them yet ‘cause the last time we were here you and your Pa were in the next village over,” he explains.
“I see,” she replies, holding in a laugh. Twilight all but sighs and goes to turn away to wallow in his humiliation, but before he can, Ilia grabs his shoulders. “Come back here, you!” Her laugh bubbles out of her lips and she pulls him into a bear hug. He melts into it, almost draping himself over her smaller frame. A collective awww from the group and a whistle from Wars makes Ilia stand on her tiptoes and peek over Twilight’s shoulder.
“Now hush!” She says sternly. Everyone’s mouths immediately snap shut. “This poor boy has had enough embarrassment for one evenin.” Twilight nods into her shoulder.
The others finally began to go about their own business, stealing amused glances at the couple. It was Sky who timidly approaches the two when Twilight finally broke the hug.
“Hi, I’m Sky. You seem like a very nice person!” Sky’s smile was nothing if not genuine. Ilia returns it
“Ilia. It’s a pleasure to meet you. I notice you didn’t chime in on embarrassing my farmboy here,” she pats Twilight’s shoulder. Sky laughs.
“I get the same treatment when we visit my home, trust me when I tell you. I figured I’d let him catch a break this time,” he replies, throwing a wink towards Twi. He nods his thanks, but not before he looses a large yawn, one which Sky can’t help but return. The Skyloftian stretches and heads towards the lounge.
“You all must be exhausted!” She turns back towards Twilight, “I’ve been the one keeping your home ready for you. Why don’t you go settle down and I’ll make you all some warm milk?”
“Could you, maybe, stay with me for a little while longer? Then you can warm the milk?”
She smiles softly.
“How can I refuse those puppy-dog eyes? Fine. Come on, then.” She grabs his hand and pulls him towards the lounge where everyone else had made themselves comfortable. He makes his way to a vacant space and gently pushes an already sleepy Sky to lean the other way. Settling in on one of the cushioned seats, Twilight pulls Ilia down next to him and hooks an arm around her to pull her close as she snuggles in to his side. He allows himself a small smile and rests his head on top of hers. It was then he caught Time’s gaze. It was soft and warm, his eyes crinkling slightly at the edges. It was a look only reserved for moments when he spoke of home and family, or when Wind would best one of the older boys in a spar. A rare look to be certain. Twilights smile grew. He’s proud of me. He closes his eyes and lets himself take in the comfort of his home, the woman at his side, Sky’s soft snores, and even the muted bickering between Wars, Wind, and Legend about something or the other. He feels safe. Warm. Loved. It was the most peaceful he’s felt for so long, and he basks in the feeling. That is, until Wild kicks the door open with a loud BANG that has everyone scrambling.
“Dinners done. Wait, what the hell?” He drops the food. “YOU’VE GOT A WIFE?”
Twilight groans and hides his face in Ilia’s hair. This was going to be a long evening.

He's Becomes a Dad || Part 2/2
Part 1
Pairing: Twilight, Warrior, Sky, Wild x Reader
Overview: Congratulations, you're new parents 🎉 Some of the Links are prepared. Others...might need a moment to gather themselves. But rest assured! At the end of the day, they're all going to get a handle on this whole dad thing. Warning: Mentions of miscarriages for Sky's section. Nothing to detailed, but it's there so beware 🙅‍♀️

It's never been a surprise to you that Twilight would want kids of his own. He never even had to say it aloud, you could just read that look in his eyes whenever playing with the village children. It was a wordless yet ever so contagious request: I want this. And how were you to deny him? Just look at him!
Simply put, children were a top priority of yours almost as soon as you married. It didn't take long for you to become pregnant either (not with Twilight's fierce passion and your shared disinterest towards 'waiting'). Regardless, there were still many tears shed when you found out - all happy, of course, as your husband spun you around in his arms while you both laughed giddily in between quick kisses.
Let's get this straight: Twilight is prepared-prepared. Ordon is that type of close-knit community where everyone helps raise each other's kids, so despite this being his first rodeo as a new dad himself, he has plenty of experience taking care of youngsters. As a ranch-hand, he's also perfectly accustomed to the whole birthing process, having hand-delivered more baby goats than he can count, so don’t worry, nothing about the ‘less glamorous’ sides of pregnancy scare him.
With that being said, Twilight doesn't stress too much aside from the normal concerns about your health, after all he recognizes that not every pregnancy is the same for every woman, but that's exactly why he makes it his personal mission to ensure your comfort.
Feeling particularly ill? He'll make you all the tasty pumpkin soup you could ask for which, believe it or not, works wonders for an upset stomach. Just having a bad day? He'll happily let you cuddle with Wolfie to help you relax. Restless? He'll take you on a horse ride no matter the hour and if you're too far along in your pregnancy to climb onto Epona, a simple walk to Ordon's spring will do since that's the perfect spot to soak your sore body. Twilight is no above carrying you there himself if you ask.
Trust that your every worry is always smoothed; Twilight is there to reassure you no matter how 'little' the problem. Have concerns he can't speak on as a man? He'll happily go ask one of the other village women for you if you're too embarrassed to do so yourself, in fact this guy's already been talking Rusl and Uli's ears off for advice since day one. He doesn't want to leave a single thing to chance regardless of how confident he already feels which is probably why there's a stack of parenting books on his nightstand. Did he clear the shelves in Castle Town? Probably.
You're pretty sure that Twilight already had a 'go-bag' put together before the end of your first trimester, although he’d add to it like a paranoid squirrel up until your due-date. Curious, you had gone through it one day just to get a hint of how overboard he might've gone. Diapers, snacks, blankets, comfortable clothes for you, more parenting books...He does realize you're doing a home birth, right? Most of this stuff he could just grab from the cabinet if needed, but it's sweet that he's trying to be organized.
It isn’t really news to anyone that Hyrule’s heroes tend to land on the quieter side and usually Twilight isn’t much different…There’s a key word in there because you’re quite certain he hasn’t actually shut up since the second you told him you’re pregnant. He can hardly keep his excitement to himself! Oh, but it’s adorable, especially on those nights when he’ll fall asleep mumbling about his joy all while using your swollen stomach as a pillow. It makes your heart swell every time.
When you eventually go into labor, Twilight doesn’t show much outward panic if he has any at all, however he does feel incredibly terrible to watch you go through it without any relief. He feels absolutely useless while unable to take away your suffering the way a good husband should, so to make up for it, he does his utmost best to be your rock during those long hours, talking you through each painful contraction and doing everything in his power to distract you. Back rubs, walks around the house, whispers of sweet nothings…He’s by your side well into the night, keeping it up until it finally comes time to start pushing.
He definitely was not going to say it while you were going through the motions because he’d like to keep his head, but human and goat births are pretty much the same thing minus the actual cursing. He’s in his element then, knowing exactly what to do to ensure a safe delivery for mama and baby. His movements are almost automatic, trained by years of practice as he cleans the little one off before taking the time to admire them fully.
Are you shocked that Twilight is teary eyed? Not at all. Are you upset that he almost forgets about you entirely for a second because he’s so entranced by the baby? Also no, since you need a moment to catch your breath anyway. Don’t worry, though, he does eventually pass you your son reluctantly before hovering at your side with possibly the widest grin you’ve ever seen on the man since your wedding day.
The rest of the night is calm from there on, filled with quiet whispers and cooing as you both take turns partaking in skin-to-skin contact with your baby. Will you be doing this again soon? You’re probably going to need a decent break to recover, but just know that your husband is absolutely ready whenever you are. In the meantime, expect to be showered in endless love and affection because you deserve it for the priceless gift you’ve given him.
Tumblr media
Your relationship with Warrior has always been ‘slow moving’ if compared to most other couples’. For starters, while he may have a formidable reputation for being a supposed lady's man, all that 'skill' of his would go flying out the window whenever faced with your presence, so it took some time (and maybe a near-death experience) for any confessions to be made. In his defense, you're a very beautiful and strong woman who happened to be one of his superiors during most of the war, so please excuse him for usually being awed into silence whenever you showed even an ounce of interest in ‘lil ol’ him. His brain would literally become a windows error.
Even after Warrior did finally find the courage to ask you out, your respected jobs and heavy workloads have often forced your relationship to be put on the back-burner. Marry you? Hylia knows he’s been DYING to! You’re already wearing the ring and everything, but it's not like you're going anywhere anytime soon and he'd rather wait a few extra years to enjoy the perfect moment rather than rush the whole ‘happiest-day-of-our-lives’ thing during a bad time.
Luckily for him, you've never needed a formal certificate to know you own his heart. He proves it to you in other ways every day from cheesy love letters to overly romantic dates during your rare off time, and while you normally adore being the sole subject of his affection, that's exactly how you ended up in this very situation.
You're both adults and as such you won't pretend to be innocent: This wasn't planned in the slightest. Your jobs can be quite chaotic, as previously addressed, so you just wanted to help your husband-to-be relax and destress a bit - nothing new for either of you in itself, although that particular evening would end up weighing heavily on your mind a few weeks later.
To be honest, when you first entered Warrior's office and instructed him to sit down with a stern voice that could rival Commander Impa's, he thought you must've finally grown tired of being engaged for several years, having come to him then to demand that he marry you sooner. Agreement was right on the tip of his tongue when you delivered the bombshell that you were pregnant instead.
Your tone was serious and expression calm, but Warrior knows you well enough to spot the hidden worry in your eyes. It’s justified, of course. Had either of you even discussed having kids before? He doesn’t think so. It’s not like having a baby is a bad thing, though. The idea of creating a small family with you is a pleasant one, it’s just…happening a lot sooner than preferred. You both would’ve liked more time to plan and prepare…but oh well. What’s done is done.
The real concern is will your jobs allow you both time off to take care of a baby? It's not like a war is currently going on, so Hyrule won't suffer too much from having two of its best captains sidelined, however what happens if that doesn't remain the case? What if war breaks out tomorrow or the day after? Warrior can’t let his pregnant fiancée fight in battles! What kind of husband and father would that make him?! But at the same time, is he just supposed to ask that you sacrifice your career in order to spare his? THAT’S NO BETTER!
...All things considered, you'd say Warrior handles the news far better than some might've. Yes, he begins to ‘slightly’ overthink things, although that's exactly why you had him sit down first. Calmly, you take his hand and tell him how things will be (your own way of offering comfort not only to him, but yourself as well). The bottom line is that if you could successfully fight Ganondorf’s army together, you can raise a child together, too. Really, how much harder can it be? You already have some minor experience being unofficial parents to little Time and Wind during the war. Just don't give your own children any magic masks or wind controlling devices and you should be golden.
Thankfully, many of Warrior’s initial fears are proven to be irrational during the earliest stages of your pregnancy. Everyone else was positively thrilled to hear the news and even Impa gave her congratulations, explaining to your fiancé’s relief that she’ll simply assign you more deskwork until it’s fit for you to return back to your normal duties. All he has to worry about in the meantime is making sure you actually take it easy; only a slightly difficult task considering your headstrong nature and insistence on not being ‘coddled’, but hey, if anyone can handle it, it’s the guy who’s hellbent on marrying your stubborn butt one day.
Warrior will admit that there were still some nights when he would nearly pull his hair out while doubting if he’s actually ready to be a dad, however the moment you officially being showing is the same moment he forgets all about any possible regrets and replaces them entirely with daydreams filled with not only his lovely wife, but also a little one who will hopefully think the absolute world of him. He already knows he’ll think of it of them.
Although you may feel a bit nervous towards the prospect of suddenly being parents, that doesn’t change the fact that you wouldn’t choose anyone else to go through this journey with. One look to your side and you’re certain of it. The way Warrior holds his son for the first time, newborn wrapped comfortably in his scarf and dad, eyes half-lidded with exhaustion after hours of labor yet the proud smile evident on his face nevertheless…You were right before: so long as you do it together, you’ll excel in this whole ‘parenting-thing’.
Tumblr media
You had married young - almost as soon as you were able after graduating from the Knight Academy. To everyone else on Skyloft, you have always been the picture image of an ideal couple; the hero and his beloved princess who somehow manage to be completely and utterly smitten with each other even years later. To call Sky your husband is a blessing in itself and you consider yourself lucky every single day. There’s only ever been one problem with your relationship - one single complaint you can think of where neither of you are truly responsible: your lack of children.
When you first married, there was lots of talk, after all everyone was simply dying to know when the first generation on the Surface would be born. Your parents were eager for grandchildren and Zelda, your best friend, had way too much fun teasing you over the matter by expressing her 'surprise' that Sky had yet to give you a baby despite how 'passionate' he’s always been towards you (she would make sure to use those exact words, too).
Initially, you never minded anyone’s curiosity. It’s only natural to expect children from a newly wed couple. It's when that same couple reaches their third then sixth year of marriage without any trace of tiny feet or squealing laughter that those curious and well-meant questions grow quiet with unbearable pity, your shared excitement becoming shuttered sorrow.
At the start there was nothing to worry about. You were both young and not putting that much effort into it, so certain it wouldn't take long for your family to grow. Then the years began to pass and you would try everything the doctor recommended, but every test would still leave you as disappointed as the last. The absolutely worst form of despair came those few times you'd actually get your hopes up only to have them cruelly dashed a few months in.
What were you doing wrong? Sky would always hush your anxieties and do his utmost best to reassure you, however you knew by his own tears that your infertility hurt him just as much, especially when on those quieter nights, you'd suggest that perhaps you simply weren't meant to be parents - that the gods were just trying to tell you both something you were too stubborn to accept.
It's for that reason that you had such mixed emotions once finally able to fall pregnant again. You were optimistic deep down, however after six years of attempts and losses, you were wary to embrace too much joy right away which was shown in the way Sky held onto you for what felt like hours after you told him or how he slept each night with a hand on your stomach even in those early days, internally praying to the goddesses this would be the one.
A month passed...Then two...And three, and four…For once, you didn't feel sick aside from what was considered normal. Maybe a bit of high blood pressure the doctor kept a close eye on, but other than that he’d always tell Sky and you the same thing: they're healthy.
Even then, you’d say you remained extra cautious, not daring to eat nor do anything the doctor so much as hesitated against, however Sky was by far the worst when it came to worrying. As your husband, he considers your physical and mental well-being his personal responsibility, but as the father of your child? His work has doubled!
All chores were to be his alone so that you could rest. Any bout of sickness was closely monitored and tended to. His hand would remain on your stomach from beginning to end, although overtime it would be done less out of fear and more for the sake of bounding, often accompanied by his voice or the melody of his harp which he would happily play for you both whenever you were having a particularly difficult time falling asleep at night.
Now, you didn't dare tell anyone about your pregnancy during the first half, not wanting to deliver anymore bad news should it come, however once the remilit was out of the bag, you became the center of attention much to Sky's conflicted feelings. On one hand, you deserved it for all of your hard work growing a baby, but on the other, that overprotective dad-side of him couldn't help fretting over the vast number of harmful germs your guests could possibly be passing onto you and your unborn child. Did he make everyone wash their hands for ten minutes before visiting? Yes, yes he did.
Beyond being protective, Sky was also very emotional throughout the entire pregnancy maybe even more than you sometimes. He got teary-eyed after every doctor's appointment that confirmed the baby's development, while picking out names together, and even when you were yelling at him for something stupid because as far as he was concerned, you still looked so beautiful standing there with crossed arms and a round belly carrying his child. Oh, but none of that compared in the slightest to the tears that were shed when he actually held his daughter for the first time; that amount of waterworks could put the flood of Faron to shame!
Six years of waiting made you both lose hope. You assumed you’d never be able to have children of your own and even began to look towards other options such as adoption or simply living your lives childless forever…but the day your daughter was born was the day all your anxieties and doubts were finally put to rest. Now, as you cry happily with your husband, you can’t think of a single complaint towards your relationship; it’s officially as perfect as the precious little bundle in your arms.
Tumblr media
Wild and you were still practically newlyweds when you gave him the 'thrilling' news. You were so happy to do so, too, barely able to bite back your excitement while watching your husband lift a small pair of baby pajamas out of a gift box. You were absolutely glowing as you eagerly awaited his reaction and all he could do was simply stare into space as his whole world came crashing down on top of him. Did he look horrified on the outside? He must've, because he swears he could’ve pinpointed the exact moment that shine in your eyes died, a frown etching its way onto your lips. What else was he supposed to do aside from fake a smile and embrace you, keeping you close to his chest so that your delight wouldn't be spoiled by his internal nervous breakdown?
Wild has zero right to be shocked. You had both been intimate (as tends to happen when you're married) not to mention you had made it perfectly clear from the start of your relationship that you would want a family one day. Judging on your eagerness towards the topic, it was never up for debate either; no kids would be a dealbreaker for you, so Wild had no choice but to quietly agree, too afraid to dare utter the truth or voice any hesitation because Hylia forbid you get the wrong idea and leave him.
He thought it would be harmless. Some couples remain married for years before any children follow and you weren't in any big hurry, so he figured he'd have plenty of time to get his act together until the day of your dreams arrived; he didn't think it would happen during your first year of marriage! ...Now he's really dug himself into a hole it's too late to try escaping from…
He’s almost said something - a few times actually. He knows it’s only fair and that as your husband, he owes you proper communication, but each time he opens his mouth, his mind curses him with the image of your sadness. What if you think he doesn’t want this at all? What if you think he hates the baby and hates you for being pregnant? What if you concluded he must want to leave you so you decide to beat him to the punch?!
…Okay, so Wild knows you aren’t going to just walk away. You’ve always been good at listening to his inner demons and acting as his strongest pillar of support, but that doesn’t change his fear that you might be hurt by whatever he has to say and he will not allow himself to ruin your own excitement.
In the years that he’s known you, he can’t say he’s ever seen you quite as happy as when you found out about your baby. He knows he should match that joy, too. Most men do. Hell, Twilight practically sent a five-page essay bragging about his wife's first pregnancy. Truth be told, Wild actually does feel happy. On his better days, he feels that flicker of pride and a hint of eagerness because a family with you honestly sounds wonderful. The problem is, in his mind, it isn't a question as to what he wants, but rather what he deserves.
So much has gone wrong in his past. It doesn’t matter how much you or anyone else assures him otherwise, it’s hard to shake the feeling that he failed Hyrule. He still suffers from so many nightmares and waves of guilt that he can’t properly put into words. You’re still having to shake him out of dazes and smooth his following sobs…How is he going to be a good dad and be there for his child when he can barely stand upon his own two feet like this?
Initially, Wild thought these feelings would go away; that’s why he never spoke them to you. He wanted so desperately to believe they wouldn’t linger, especially after you both got married. He lives in a peaceful world, has a nice home in a quiet village, a beautiful wife who adores him…He should’ve been able to move on from the Calamity already, so why hasn’t he? On his worst nights, it makes him wonder if he’ll ever be okay or if he’s just screwed you and the baby over by tying you both down to him.
These two sides of him - the hopeful and the pitiful - continue to battle for dominance inside Wild’s head throughout each step. Sometimes he’s genuinely smiling with you as you pick out baby names. Other times he’s sitting outside alone trying his damn hardest to remember any piece of his past that might make him feel at least a little better about his luck towards being a dad, preferably a time when he was actually good with kids or even had a family before.
Wild’s internal dilemma comes to a head one fateful night when he’s awoken to the baby’s distressing cries. He had honestly already been awake after a mild case of anxiety, but you on the other hand are tired, worn from nine long months of pregnancy and the early days of active motherhood. The last thing he wants is for you to lose out on precious rest (a rare gift these days), so leaping out of bed, he’s quick to reach the baby’s crib.
Unfortunately, Wild’s natural instincts seem to basically stop right there at the crib’s side. Hands hovering above, he tries his best to calm his daughter through whispered assurances and attempts at cooing the same way he’s seen you do. When that doesn’t work, he awkwardly picks her up, cuddling her close to his chest while quietly pleading at this point. Is she hungry? Does she need a diaper change? Did she have a nightmare? Whatever it is, if you wake up, you’ll take over and he’ll be left to stand aside feeling like he can’t even do the basic task of comforting his own child and -
- To his astonishment, his efforts actually work. It really must’ve been as simple as a nightmare because slowly, the baby falls silent, seemingly forgetting all about her troubles as she finds solace gazing up at her daddy with the widest blue eyes and a stuck-out tongue that can’t seem to keep itself in her mouth. It looks rather goofy, so Wild can’t help but chuckle, although the sound is soft as his heart melts under the attention she holds towards him. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say it’s almost like she’s looking at her entire world…
Maybe some would say this moment isn’t necessarily anything special, but for Wild, it’s everything. As if suddenly a pro, he’s able to rock the little beauty gently back to sleep, his pleas turning into words of admiration as he tucks her into bed. There, he continues to keep watch over her until he feels tired himself, all the while thinking: he might be broken from years of trauma, and he might not be the best husband or parent out there because of it, but that's not going to stop him from doing everything in power to be there for his princesses.

Was inspired by reading some LU incorrect quotes about cooking to make this little braindump. So uh yeah have some “how good are the Links at cooking” headcanons:
Wild - resident chef, obviously. Very good cook. Was taught how to at the Dueling Peaks stable and it’s very relaxing for him to cook. He genuinely enjoys cooking and has recipes saved from all over his Hyrule. He will fight the others for cooking duty, both on the road and when they’re somewhere safe. He just loves to cook. Before the Calamity, though, he could not cook. At all. He was absolutely horrible at it. Flora was surprised when she learned he knew how to cook all of a sudden.
Twilight - can only make pumpkin stew. More often than not he’s eating food from Telma’s, stuff that doesn’t need to be cooked, or he hunts and eats as a wolf.
Sky - knows a few recipes. I feel like the Knight Academy would at least teach basic recipes, so he can handle himself on his own. It’s just not especially flavorful compared to Wild’s cooking. Also pumpkin stew. If he can he will make pumpkin stew.
Warriors - also was taught how to cook because he’s a Knight, but is still a danger in the kitchen. He makes some pretty infamous gruel. It’s really bad. Keep him out of the kitchen. He lost his taste buds during the War of Eras
Time - he theoretically can cook it’s just that he makes too much of a mess when doing it. He will drop everything, spill anything, and end up covered in ingredients despite actively trying to be clean. Time makes dinner time look like a bomb went off and it’s so much of a hassle to clean and honestly a bit of a waste, especially only for bad to mediocre meals at best. He can survive when Malon’s not home, but is his food good? No. No it’s not. As a kid he was hopeless. Luckily the puppy dog eyes worked like a charm as a kid. When he got older Talon eventually sat him down and taught him how to cook basic meals. Malon’s taught him a little too, but again. He just makes a mess
Hyrule - cannot cook. Was never taught and can’t teach himself since he was never taught to read. But he does know how to find edible food on the road. He’s a really good forager and that’s how he sustained himself on his journeys
Wind - can cook some things. Granny’s been teaching him how to cook. He knows Granny’s soup recipe but he insists he can never make it right so he never actually makes it. He can cook basic fish dishes but doesn’t have an arsenal of recipes. Usually it was down to whatever he could find for cheap in a store or fish himself during his adventures. I feel like Tetra’s ship has a cook so he doesn’t need to worry about food anymore. If he had the choice, though, he would live off Granny’s soup and nothing else
Four - Can cook. Probably the most reliable cook after Wild. He can make some fancy and genuinely good dishes. He just doesn’t particularly like the stress of cooking. Red’s always worried no one’s going to like it, Green wants to experiment, Vio wants to follow the recipe to a T, and Blue just wants everyone to shut up. I feel like during his journeys he used his age, and then his height, to his advantage to get free food whenever he could. I like to think he would help his grandpa cook whenever he could as a kid and thus actually learned how to cook
Legend - Can cook, but only in a kitchen. He never managed to get the hang of cooking over an open fire. Though while he can cook, I feel like he has a special preference for baking since his uncle would make apple tarts with him when he was little. During his earlier adventures, someone would usually cook for him (except for his first, he’d usually have to steal to get by) since he was still pretty young, but he slowly learned to cook over the course of his adventures. He learned a lot on Koholint specifically, so he knows a lot of seafood dishes though he doesn’t usually make those

I need to know. First is probably touch starved thanks to all the shit that happened to him before his death, right? Which of the chain make it their mission to fix it?
Ok so I saw this ask, sat down, and started writing. So I hope you don’t mind but I’ll be answering your question in fic form
(And it’s more than 1k so I’m just gonna…hide it beneath the cut lol)
Sky breathes in deep and closes his eyes. The tantalizing smell of pumpkin soup wafts to his nostrils, mingling with the smokiness of the fire. The sounds of its crackling and the cheery talk of his companions reach his ears, and he smiles.
It’s been a long, tiring day for them all, but moments like this make it well worth it. The bruises from today’s battles may still ache, and the cuts still sting, yet at the end of it, they have one another.
He allows himself another moment of dark bliss, then opens his eyes. Taking in the sight of the heroes only makes his smile grow.
Across the fire Wild grins and nudges Twilight with his elbow, both of them chuckling over some shared joke. Legend and Warriors sit shoulder to shoulder. Their friendly teasing can be heard from where Sky sits. Wind has settled down beside Time, and though Sky can’t make out what their conversation is about, it seems like the older hero is telling the sailor a story.
Four sits off to the side, engrossed in a book, a soft smile on his face. And Hyrule joins in Twilight and Wild’s conversation now, the laughter growing louder at his cheeky contribution.
Everyone seems happy and light. Perhaps, more so than they have been for a while.
…well, maybe not everyone. Sky sits upright abruptly, scanning the camp for their little group’s newest member. He could have sworn the hero had been right here moments ago. Where had he slipped off to?
Aha.
Sky catches sight of the now familiar silhouette, dark and shadowy against the light of the moon. First sits a short distance away, back to the camp, face upturned to take in the sky. His cape floats lazily upon the breeze.
The Skyloftian takes another glance around the group and makes his decision. He rises.
Though First is much more at ease with the other heroes now, he can still be a bit aloof. Not that Sky blames him. Being with a group can be difficult, especially when constant danger is added to the mix. And after everything the knight has been through his behavior makes sense.
Still, Sky can’t bring himself to believe First actually wants to be alone. He’s seen the yearning in his eyes when he sees the others teasing one another, hugging one another, easy and companionable as family members. And he’s not the only one either.
“There’s no way he doesn’t actually want to sit with us,” Wild had whispered one day when First had broken away yet again to sit alone. “Going as long as he did without anyone even touching him? It’s torture.”
Time had nodded, expression solemn but understanding. “He’s scared. Give him time.”
So, Sky had given him time. Time to adjust and learn to trust them, time to find his footing in a time that was not his own. But First hadn’t stopped putting distance between himself and the others. And Sky is tired of waiting
It’s clear that the knight needs someone else to make the first step. So, tonight he intends to do just that.
It worked with Legend. If he’s lucky, it’ll work with First too.
And so, leaving the comfort of the fire behind, he walks to First’s side.
First doesn’t startle at his approach, but he does turn at the sound of his footsteps. He looks up at him, gaze sharp and cold. If he weren’t accustomed to it by now, Sky would likely turn tail and rush back to the others.
“Hi,” he says, instead, holding up a hand in a little wave. “Mind if I join you?”
Instantly, First’s expression softens.
“Of course not.”
He gestures toward the spot beside him. Sky settles down, sliding close so his shoulder bumps First’s. Though the knight tenses slightly, he doesn’t move away. The Skyloftian is more than happy to count that as a win.
“What’re you doing over here by yourself?” he asks, casually. “It’s much warmer by the fire.”
First hums. He’s looking at the sky again, pale hair and skin giving him an almost otherworldly look beneath the moon’s glow.
“You can see the stars better from here.”
Sky knows that’s a lie. The stars are bright enough to be seen from virtually any angle and the little clearing they’ve made their camp in is among the best. But he lets it slide.
“They’re beautiful,” he says and First nods.
“Every age of Hyrule is unique and their skies are no exception.” A smile tugs at First’s lips. “But somehow the stars are always the same.”
Sky grins. He knows well the comfort of Hyrule’s skies. The same constellations he once gazed at from atop the academy can be seen from Lon Lon Ranch or the Dueling Peaks.
“It’s true. See?” He points and First follows the direction of his finger. “There’s the Loftwing Constellation I used to see on Skyloft. It’s always been my favorite.”
First’s smile grows a bit larger, some of the tension bleeding from his shoulders.
“It’s mine too.”
Emboldened, Sky gestures to another cluster of stars.
“I’ve gotta admit, though, I’ve always been fond of the First Hero.”
First stares at the constellation for a moment. Then, with a chuckle, he shakes his head.
“Now, you're just flattering me.”
He shivers a little and Sky takes the opportunity to scoot closer.
“Here,” he says, untying his sailcloth. He stretches it so both he and First are enveloped in its warmth. “This will keep the cold out.”
First drags his gaze down from his star-gazing to skewer him with a questioning look. Sky meets it with a kind smile, and after a moment the hero relaxes. Carefully, he grasps his end, pulling it snugly over his shoulders. And Sky might be imagining it, but he’s almost certain First leans against him just a bit.
“Thank you,” he murmurs.
Sky can’t keep back the grin that lifts his lips.
“My pleasure.”
They sit in silence for a moment, bodies pressed close, eyes trained on the heavens above. Then, First breaks it.
“You don’t have to do this, you know. I appreciate the gesture, truly. But it is unnecessary.”
“Do what?” Sky asks, nonchalantly. “I just felt like spending some time with my predecessor.”
First turns to him, studying him in the darkness. Sky can tell without even looking at his face, that he doesn’t believe him. And after a few very awkward minutes pass he realizes something more genuine is in order.
“I like being with you, First,” he says, gently. He places a hand on First’s shoulder and the knight stiffens. Even in the dark, he can see the fractures in his usually guarded expression. “We all do. You don’t have to be alone.”
Something flits across First’s face, come and gone too fast for Sky to catch it. But before either of them can say anything more, Wild’s cheery voice rings out across the clearing.
“Dinner’s ready! Hurry on over unless you want us to eat it all!”
First looks away, quickly.
“I suppose we’d best head back,” he says, tone suspiciously level. “I don’t doubt their ability to scarf down everything in that pot.”
He doesn’t move, however, and Sky decides to take another chance. He gives him a gentle nudge.
“You’re right, we should go.”
Rising, he secures the clasp on the sailcloth once more. Something like remorse flashes across First’s face, but it is gone as quickly as it came. And when Sky turns to head back to camp, he follows him without comment.
Wild is ladling out generous portions of soup when they arrive. He hands them both bowls with a grin.
“It’s Twi’s recipe,” he says, “or more Yeto’s. Either way, don’t worry, I made seconds.”
Sky gives him an answering grin of his own. “Thanks, Champion.” He turns to First and waves a hand. “Come on, you can sit by me.”
The knight hesitates a moment, looking at the log the other heroes have made their seats upon with a mix of longing and trepidation. Then, he nods.
Sky settles down beside Legend, sending the veteran a smile as he does so. That sets First between him and Twilight.
The rancher greets First with a genial nod, which the knight returns as he sits down. Despite his easy movements and relaxed expression, however, Sky can feel the tension that radiates off of him in waves. But as they begin to eat and the conversation turns to favorite battle strategies, he slowly starts to relax.
And when they finish their meal and sleepiness brings their conversations to a lazier pace, the other heroes start to shift positions.
Slowly, they drift over as they always do, seeking the warmth and comfort of close proximity. But unlike other nights, where they usually group together in twos and threes, the heroes decide to form a giant cuddle pile. Even Time joins, though he sticks to the outskirts of it, his head resting on Warriors’ shoulder.
Everyone else snuggles close, lazily mumbling complaints about bony elbows and knees, and sighing as they find comfortable positions.
And First finds himself smack in the center of it all.
He sends Sky an almost worried glance as Wind squeezes between him and the rancher. The sailor huddles close, with a wide yawn.
“This was your plan the whole time, wasn’t it?” The knight whispers, accusingly. But even as he says it, Wind tugs at his cape, cuddling into its warmth. His expression softens and he reaches down, tucking the sailor in more comfortably.
Out of the corner of his eyes, Sky sees the rancher try and fail to hold back a smile.
“I didn’t plan anything,” he replies, innocently. “I think the soup just made everyone extra sleepy. Right, Twilight?”
Twilight nods. “Nothing puts you to sleep like a good bowl of soup. And Yeto’s is the best. Better than a sleep potion, I’d say.”
From First’s expression he doesn’t believe either of them. Regardless, he doesn’t complain after that.
And when his eyelids droop, he finally allows his head to drop onto Sky’s shoulder. Gently, Sky pulls the sailcloth over his shoulders once more. The knight blows out a small sigh of contentment and snuggles closer.
Sky smiles, reveling in this small victory.
“Goodnight, First,” he whispers, settling in and letting his eyes slip closed.
When First replies his words are slurred and thick with sleep. But Sky can hear the smile in them anyway.
“Goodnight, Sky.”

Hi! I can’t sleep (I’m writing this in bed at midnight) and I forgot to request proposal headcannons while requests were open. So now I’m inflicting you with my own headcannon about how Twilight would propose. Woe be upon ye. This one is an earnest attempt on your life (consider my last story to be a half-hearted try with a foam knife). Warning: long ask.
The rancher had been incredibly nervous about this for a really, really long time. He’s done a remarkably good job at hiding it from you (for a Link, that is). You’d assumed he’d been stressed with the upcoming harvest since that was the most logical conclusion you could come to given the available information. Given that, you decided to try and ease his stress some by pilfering his pumpkin soup recipe and then asking him to help you make it — activities are always more fun together, after all.
He complies because he can never deny you anything that’s in his power to give. That and he really enjoys cooking with you. It’s domestic and sweet and it gives him butterflies — which ultimately only serves to make his upcoming proposal all the scarier. On the one hand, he could have this domesticity every day and hold you while you both sleep every night. But on the other… what if you say no and things become awkward?? What if you end up breaking up with him??? It’s hard to stay present and not spiral into worst-case scenarios as he gets a small taste of what could be.
You, sensing he’s becoming stressed, come up and hug him from behind while he’s stirring the soup. He inhales sharply as you lay your cheek against his back, but he melts into your touch. His panicked thoughts quiet instantly — you’ve always had that effect on him. “What’s wrong, my love?” You ask, concerned. His drawl is a little thicker than normal and his voice is warm. You might not be able to see his face from your position, but you can actually hear the small smile and soft look that have spread over his features, “it’s nothin’ to trouble yourself with, darlin’. I’m alright now. I jus’ needed a hug and didn’t realize it is all.”
You hum, not entirely convinced but recognizing the half-truth for what it is. You’ve quietes whatever thoughts are plaguing him, but there’s obviously something. He’s not the type to get this stressed out over “nothing.” He evidently doesn’t want to talk about it for some reason though.
“There’s a difference between ‘it’s nothing’ and ‘I don’t want to talk about it.’ The latter is always an acceptable answer, but I rather you tell me that. I won’t force you to tell me what’s bothering you, but I want you to know you can come to me with anything.” You say as your grip around his waist tightens (and as you have to force yourself to think of anything but how muscular his back is and the fact that you can feel his abs under your hands).
If there was any tension left in his body at all, it deflates all at once as you speak. “Trus’ me, I know. And I appreciate that more than you know, darlin’. But I meant it. It was a silly thing to be worried about, all things considered, I’m all righ’ now. Thank you.” He keeps stirring the soup with one hand, but one large hand comes to rest overtop where your own have wrapped themselves around his middle, his thumb caressing your skin. He’s told you the truth, he really isn’t worried anymore. He knows the life he can give you is a simple one, but it’s one full of love and happiness. There’s something about the way you hold him, the tenderness of the embrace, that makes him realize that everything’s gonna be okay in the end.
He‘s no longer afraid you’ll say no. Not necessarily because you couldn’t do better (he’s quite convinced you could if you wanted to, no matter now frequently you tell him otherwise), but because you love him. Completely, with every fiber of your being; just as much as he loves you. He allows himself to believe that you would choose him just as many times over as he would choose you.
When the soup finishes cooking, the pair of you eat dinner together. You spend an hour and a half just talking and laughing and enjoying each other’s company. When the meal ends and you’ve both put your dishes away, he takes your hand in his and asks if you’ll go on a walk with him. You accept readily.
He leads you through a winding path that leads out into one of the wheat fields, the pair of you continuing your conversation the whole way. Eventually, you reach the edge of the field. There’s a small clearing and a crystal clear water running through the tall golden stems, the sunset just over the horizon.
He looks at you with an undeniable warmth in his eyes and expression, but there’s also a serious look on his face. Sensing he needs to tell you something important, you quiet your laughter. Much to your surprise, he grabs his sword off his waist and lays it down on the dirt beneath you two. He kneels down on his right knee. His left fist is planted in the dirt and his right rests over his heart.
“Darlin’, words can’t even begin to express how much you mean to me. Yer the light of ma life and the reason I get up every mornin’. If ‘m being honest, I can’t imagine ma life without you in it. What I want more’n anything in this world is to wake up with you in ma arms every mornin’, and to make dinner with you every evening like we did t’day.” He’s starting to tear up now as he looks up at you. “Would you do me the honor of marryin’ me?”
You can’t seem to find your voice. At some point while he was talking your hands came up to cover your mouth as you start to cry a little. You nod and that’s all he needs. The next thing you know, he’s shot to his feet and has wrapped you up in a warm embrace. You pull him down for a kiss and he complies happily. You can feel within the action just how much he loves you and how happy you’ve made him today.
When you pull away he has a biggest goofiest grin on his fact that you’ve ever seen. He slips a small box out of his pocket and produces a gorgeous, albeit simple ring (that explains where the extra money he’s been putting away lately went). Gingerly, he takes your left hand in his free one and ever so gently slides the ring onto your finger. Right where it belongs. You’re his, and he’s yours, and now everyone will be able to see it. It’ll be legally true soon enough.
Man, he really can’t wait until your beautiful face is the first thing he sees every morning. Bedhead and all.

For the Avians you’ve already posted, what are their favorite foods?
AHHH! I'm sorry my friend! I swear I saw this ask the day you sent it I've just been slacking because I started a new file for BOTW. 😅 Anyways! All their favorite foods are all the recipes you can make in BOTW because Wild is the one that mainly makes their food and also because it's easier that way.
Time - Warm Milk Meaty Rice Balls. "The sweet and spicy meat stuffed into these rice balls will keep you full for some time." Time to me just seems like the kind of guy that enjoys food that he can eat with one hand. That on top of the practical element that this food keeps you full for some time just seems like something he would enjoy and prefer to eat while on the road.
Twilight - Pumpkin Stew. "Simply simmer a fortified pumpkin to make this dish. A favorite in Kakariko Village." This man canonically made pumpkin stew in his adventure so this is his favorite food mainly because it reminds him of home and also because it's one of the only foods he is actually able to cook.
Sky - Salmon Risotto. "Restores your health and temporarily increases your maximum hearts. The rice used in this rich risotto permeates the light flavor of the salmon." I don't even have a solid explanation or reason for this one I just feel it in my soul that Sky loves seafood. Turns out there's not a lot of fish when you live in the sky.
Warriors - Carrot Cake. "Even those who don't like carrots tend to enjoy the mild sweetness of this cake." Ironically, I don't think this is Warriors' favorite food because of taste, but more because of the memories he associates it with. I'm a huge supporter of the "Warriors is a Momma's boy" agenda and I headcanon that his mom made carrot cake for his birthday every year when he was young and that's why he still loves it to this day.
Legend - Apple Pie. "The crispy, flaky pie crust and sweet apples are a match made in heaven." Listen, I know the Zelda manga aren't technically canon but neither is this Winged AU so I can believe what I want in my heart. Anyways, in the A Link to the Past manga his whole goal is for his apple orchard to succeed so I'm a firm believer that Legend LOVES anything with apples, but apple pie holds a secret special place in his heart.
Hyrule - Monster Cake Creamy Heart Soup. "Enjoying this sweet soup with another person will bring you both closer together." Hyrule is such a sweetheart with so much love to give you cannot convince me that his favorite food wouldn't be the creamy heart soup. Also the fact that hearty radishes are one of the best ingredients to replenish hearts fits with his whole fairy/healing agenda.
Wild - Wildberry Crepe. "Sweet, tart wildberries are folded into thin, springy dough to make this dessert." Aside from literal rocks, I just feel like this would be his favorite "treat yourself" comfort food. Other than that, I don't really have solid reasoning for this choice other than the fact that I think he deserves to have nice things and also because this is my favorite thing to make in BOTW.
Four - Curry Rice. "A favorite all over Hyrule, this simple dish has a flavor you just won't get tired of." I headcanon that Four is a pretty easy guy to please when it comes to food. He's basically four racoons in a trench coat so it's pretty easy to guarantee that SOME PART of him will like whatever he is eating, though he does tend to favor slightly spicier foods.
Wind - Seafood Meuniere. "Rich butter flanks fresh seafood. The secret ingredient is lots and lots of love." Now go ahead and try to tell me that that description is not something his Grandma would say. Try it I dare you lol. Anyways that phrase combined with the fact that it is a seafood dish just SCREAMS Wind to me.
Anyways, these are all just my personal headcanons! Let me know if you all had any other ideas or headcanons in mind! 😊

How good each link is at cooking:
Time - good end result, but he is incredibly clumsy will always spill or knock over something. Sometimes it's just a quick clean up and other times it's an entire jar of mixed seasoning directly into the food or the food itself .
Wild -the obvious one. The one who carries all the food and cooks most of it because he is the god of cooking. Not much else to say
Wind- he is 14 so he's trying to learn. He needs a recipe and some kind of timer to get anywhere with it. You tell him to make something and he has to write it down or else he forgets some of the ingredients or the cooking time or something .
Legend - cannot cook over a campfire well. Not too say he can't Cook though. He is an excellent baker when he's in a proper kitchen.
Four - much like wind they need a recipe. If you tell Four to cook but don't give them a recipe the food will end up burnt because they took to long trying to decide (argue about) the next step. Individualy the colours are each decent on their own (when not trying to backseat chef eachother)
Twilight - this man can cook soup and make a decent ploughman's style lunch or sandwich out of leftovers. but past that you won't get more than burnt under seasoned meat.
Sky - he mainly makes a really good pumpkin soup but the academy taught him how to make other mostly pumpkin based things to. He cooks better in a kitchen and tends to cook the same thing over and over.
Hyrule - he cannot cook. In His world there isn't much to cook and having a fire attracts monsters. Wild is trying to teach him a bit and he's allowed near the cooking pot to chop vegetables
Wars - never learned. Left home at 16 and lived of military canteen food after that. He makes really good sandwiches with Twi when there's leftovers for lunch
----------------Bonus ----------------
Ravio - the same as legend but with cooking instead of baking. The pair of them have matching aprons as well
Shadow - butts into the colours cooking mostly just to steal ingredients and eat them raw.
Malon - she could rival Wild . Might be better than Wild sometimes. They always learn something off eachother when they cook together.
Spirit (if you want to count him)- he wraps sandwiches in tinfoil and puts them next to or on top of the coal burner in his train. It works pretty good for making toasties. He's another one for the sandwich gang .Refers to all food as scran.

He really needs to stop forgetting about the blood
it doesn't focus on it but this work is in @breannasfluff wing bois au cas i honestly love it so much!
So okay it really wasn’t Wilds fault, he really did forgot he was traveling with people. And sure many would infact say that isnt an excuse but he was traveling alone in a post apocalyptic for three years with no memories exept the absolute basics so he'd say yes that is an excuse to promptly forget he was covered in blood and then come back yo camp.
It was a pretty normal day, they were in Wilds Hyrule and heading to Gerudo town after learning that’s were Flora was. The bad news was that Fours wing got dislocated and Winds got all scratched up, with important feathers getting damaged so they were grounded which sucked. So after a lot of groans learning it would be at lest a 4 day trip and Wild needing to reassure them that theres a possibility they'll run into Flora heading back on the way aswell as promising pumpkin soup for dinner the group set off.
After a whole day of walking with only one break the chain found themselves right by the great Platue  according to Wild, there were a few normal red moblins to kill aswell as a traveler fighting a red bokobline that Wild helped out but after all that they were exhausted some of which(Wind and Warriors) complaining about having to set up camp. Wild on the other hand was bouncing off the walls trying to convince Time to let them take just a half days walk(which according to them could be a few hours if he caught enough horses for them.) to the stable. And as tempting as the cozy stable atmosphere and actually beds were even Hyrule was tired and it was late Stall enemy's would start appearing so to Wilds dismay he was denied and left to start up on some pumpkin soup grumbling the whole time.
Dinner came and went with little to no issue everyone loved the soup and they were all just hanging out, Sky was already sleeping, Wind was telling yet another story of his adventure to Hyrule and Warriors, Four was on the outskirts of camp mumbling to himself, Time was just sat against a tree, and last of all Twi was out on watch while Wolfie sat with Wild who was restless as ever. Hell all he wanted to do was wonder around a bit this was his Hyrule if anything he had the right to, he didn’t go on a three year adventure just to not know his way around. He could just fly around stay in sight or  even just teleport to Zoras domain or somewhere with people, just anything that involved him getting up and moving. But no the moment Wild even got to the edges of camp Wolfie barked bloody murder at him and once he finally sat down Wolfie sat on him! The nerve. Did he mot understand how Wild worked, he wouldn’t get hurt or anything he just needed to move or he swears he'll actually go insane.
So the moment Wolfie gets up Wild gets to work on crawling away, Wolfie was called to by Time so Twi would be occupied for a bit (he could never turn up his mentor unlike wild who atlest temporarily easily choose being able to wonder whenever he needed over staying still and at camp with Twilight) but as to not catch Wolfie's attention he went towards Four, it was risky but Wild figured Four was so deep in thought he wouldn’t even notice, even if he did Four could probably understand atlest this once. But no Warriors had to notice him.
"where ya goin champ" ugh Wolfie immediately turns his head to the two of them. Through closed teeth Wild tries his best not to show his anger and disappointment "theres an apple tree right over there, wanted some apples ya know, I  use em a lot in recipes so its always good to have them" it wasn’t technically a lie there is an apple tree and he does use them a lot in recipes and knowing his tendencies to grab everything he sees he probably would have grabbed those apples, he left out the part were he wasn’t planing to be back for atlest an hour, but was it really important. Aperently yes yes it was to Wolfie and Time atlest.
"Wild it gets dangerous at dark, we need to stick together plus everyone will be settling  down soon" Wild was already getting more fidgety scratching at his scars as if given the chance he would jump right out of his skin and just run(hell he would if he could) and as if to rub salt in the wound Time looked down at him directly in the eyes, sure he never mentioned that looking him in the eye made his skin itch and on bad days like this one made him want to cry, and technically he never mentioned the fact that lack of moving around like right now would make him go insane but he didn’t realize he had to, also he figured they would realize on there own it's obvious but not to them I guess, atlest if Wolfie growling whenever he moved was anything to go off of.
But soon Twilight had to come back as hylian, and soon Time had to take his eye off of him. And he'll be damned if he didn’t use that opening to fucking book it. After he was far enough away from camp to fly and be considered a traveler he flew as fast as he could to the coliseum finally free to move and take out this energy it was clear to him he was going to fight a goddamn Lynal or pray to Hylia he was going to strike something else down.
So that’s what he did.
But he got a little carried away and might have ended up clearing the whole place, each
Level.
He was infact hyper aware of his wings being Soaked, after clearing the colosseum he was going to fly back but he didn’t make it very far in the air due to his wings being heavy. It was a pain in the ass to say the lest. Bad news is he didn’t realize his wings weren't the only thing soaked.
"Wild were the fuck where you!"
The moment he entered camp he was grabbed by the shoulders by Warriors. Which was not ideal, although he let out his energy he was still upset at everyone for not letting him go, it probably would have stopped him from coming back to camp covered in blood. Oh fuck he forgot about that part.
"oh Hylia" he felt warriors pull back rubbing his hands against his pants. "Cub, holy shit are you okay" Twilight on the other hand had no issue getting a little dirty feeling down Wild which was very much not appreciated by the latter. "Twi off off I'm fine!" he did not get off.
"What happened" Finally pulling back from the over bearing mother cuccoo Wild started to walk off. "Im fine I just went off for a bit to fight a few monsters" Warriors laughed at this. "A few monsters, champ you were gone for an hour and come back a bloody mess literally" Wild just rolled his eye before running into Time the smallest ding being heard from his armor. "Wild. I told you to stay put" another eye roll came with some sorta frustrated  trill answered with Wilds own more angry trill. "listen ill wash the blood off tomorrow okay" exasperated and Tired Twilight reached to grab Wilds arm. "Wash it off tommor- Cub this isn't about washing it off Ugh" it was met with a  threatening chirp and Wild violently pulling his arm away from a surprised Twilight. But before he was able to retreat the bloodied frustrated Magpie met eyes with Legend.
"Wild"
"Legend"
Wild was suddenly getting dragged by the older but shorter bird who was bringing his own wings up to shield from Wilds own who was flapping them like crazy. "Legend!"
"Fuck off Wars"
And with that there off.
Wild eventually calmed down getting tired of the constant flailing, luckily Legend  just brought them to the lake not tooooo far off. He just pointed at it but Wild got the memo and jumped right in, he knew he'd have to fight off Legend if he didn’t.
"so whats the deal"
Well that was unexpected. Legend seemed to notice Wilds surprise. "well your upset and the others cant seem to grasp that your not just bitching around." Wild couldn’t help but snort at the last bit but Legend was right, he sure as hell was upset. "they wouldn’t let me go" the look he was given showed he was gonna explain or he would have to deal with the mother cuccoo trio. "I just, ugh. I just needed to move around and no one would let me. Warriors kept getting in my way always alerting Time and Wolfie, Time acted like it was to dangerous even though were in my Hyrule! Like I don’t know my own fucking Hyrule even tho I've been adventuring here for three years I know he wants to protect everyone but he's just being a bitch honestly acting like I'm a baby, and oh if were on the topic oh acting like I'm a baby Twilight is so fucking annoying sometimes, I love the guy I would die a million times for him but holy shit Im not incompetent or something, I just needed to go wonder a bit fly around maybe just move ya know! Like that’s how I always am but he just acts like I'm always gonna get hurt sometimes he acts like I'm trying to get hurt! Like sure I would jump infront of any of you in a fast pace fight but I don’t have that little of self preservation I'm not a goddamn idiot, sometimes it feels like you and Hyrule are the only ones who acknowledge that I'm not a newborn puppy, just because I prefer wondering around, have a few boundaries and, some trust issues Im still able to walk off and not die ya know!"
Wild didn’t even realize how heated he got until its over Legend giving him a look, it wasn’t pity and he obviously wasn’t upset at him but it just was a look. "it sounds like you have a few opinions but not in the bad way and I totally understand" kinda look.
"so you got worked up and no one would let you deal with it so your pissed now" it sounded a bit simplified but Legend definitely was trying to be sincere he just has his own way of doing it. "well that sucks n all really but could I ask how you dealt with it and why it included getting drenched in blood"
Oh yeah Wild forgot about that, to be fair Wild traveled alone and being covered in blood for a few days was never a problem, there were even to few travelers to get scared off or worried about it that it became an issue.
"I fought a lynal and like a few dozen moblins and bokos" as weirdly understanding Legend was being tonight he was not having that and needed an explanationz "that big ruin over there, it’s a big ol monster camp with a lynal right in the middle like you said I was worked up and pissed so I used the adrenaline to kill the lynal and the other monsters, most of this blood isn't mine but killing a lot of monsters can be a messy job sometimes also I like to dig out for there guts and horns ya know to make elixirs cas no one really sells them around here but yeah it can get  especially gross with lynals"
"that’s fucking gross kid, and you really gotta get a hobbie" Wild used his soaked(with luckily mostly water now) wing to splash Legend laughing as he retried farther to the small thin forest of birch trees. "what the fuck!" atlest the cook was lighting up. "but seriously ya gotta get some communication skills, its my thing to be pissed off but your just supposed to be feral I can get passed the killing a lynal and taking its guts as gross as that is, but the others think there helping out and getting pissed off ain't gonna show them to back off they'll just keep pushing" damn who knew Legend was good at the emotional shit.
"yeah yeah I guess your right but not tonight I think I have a right to be pissed off for atlest a few more hours" rolling his eyes Legend did have to agree they were bitches even if they didn’t mean to be. "okay then get up, you can be upset but we have to get going, doubt those three will be happy about you leaving without a trace two times"
"Hey this time was your fault" Legend didn’t dignify that with an answer just threw a towel at Wild and started walking letting the cook catch up. "also for your information I'm not explaining anything to them, atlest not tonight I'm sleeping and there is  nothing they can do about it." with a snort "Atlest you'll actually be sleeping for once"
"Out of spite so it doesn’t count"
"Sureeeeeee"
For the rest of it they walked in a comfortable silence Wild happy someone could finally understand and Legend happy he could chip sway at Wilds barrier, sure they'd have to deal with three mother cuccoos but it was worth the price to have atlest one nice moment.

Luminescence
*Welcome to the Realm of Light*
"No! No! Y/N! Don't do this! Please! Y/N!!!!"  Link's body hit the cold, marble of the palace floor. Pieces of glass sprinkled all over him. The only thing he could manage to catch was your teardrop in his hand. He closed his palm around it. He pounded the marble in grievous defeat.
Link shot up right in his bed. Startled, he scanned his room. He expected to see shards of broken glass on his bedroom floor. The only light that glinted in his eyes was from the sun knocking on his window. It was time for him to get up. Another grueling day on Fado's ranch lies ahead.
Link sat groggily at his kitchen table. He let the steam from his cup of fresh-brewed tea tickle his face. Yet it did little to awaken him. He was being tormented by the same dream. He kept thinking of the glass and the source of it. It seemed like he was diving to catch it so it wouldn't break. He wondered if it had to do with the Mirror of Twilight. Daily updates from Castle Town did little to alleviate his intuition. There was really nothing for him to do but resume his normal life. Except returning to his punitive existence was proving to be the hardest task he'd ever had to face. He hoped Midna and the Twili were okay. It wasn't like he could ever go and find out himself. He pushed the sadness of that thought from his system as he sipped his tea.
Link's front door burst open, and in strolled an energized Ilia. He didn't understand how someone could be so abundant with natural energy first thing in the morning. She tip-toed beside him and planted a kiss on his cheek. Why bother tiptoeing when he could hear her slam the door open? Link sat there, realizing he was already starting the day off on an irritable note.
"A few more months, and I won't have to come here every morning with your lunch! I can just wake up from our bed and make it for you!" Ilia invited herself to take a seat across from Link at his table. She set a wooden box wrapped in linen on the table.
"What's for lunch?" Link nodded towards the box.
"Come on, sweetie! It's leftover pumpkin soup!" Link tried to coerce an appreciative smile on his face. If he ate pumpkin soup for lunch again, he might vomit. He didn't have the heart to tell Ilia, but he often sneaked fruits or bread to eat instead.
Link shuffled out of his chair to avoid the awkwardness he felt sitting with Ilia. "Want some tea?" He asked in such a saccharine way that that too might make him vomit.
"Link! You're so thoughtful." Link heard the sound of the chair legs scrape against the wooden floor. Ilia entangled her arms around him from behind. "We really need to start planning the wedding." She murmured against the bareness of his back. "I can't wait to be your wife." Link could feel the slight impression of her smile against his skin.
"I can't wait to be your husband." Link said, wondering where the slight impression of his own smile was.
*
The last of the displaced goats had been returned to the barn. Link walked out and saw Rusl leaning on the flimsy, wooden fence, talking to Fado.
"Don't repeat that to Uli." Link trotted up to them, intrigued by their hushed tones. "Don't repeat what to Uli?"
Fado snickered, "Nothing for an engaged boy to worry about." Link hated the fact that his impending marriage was constantly shoved down his throat. Rusl and Fado must have sensed his annoyance and tried to ease his spirit. "It's just that Ilia is such a beauty. Not to mention the mayor's daughter. The goddesses surely smile upon you, Link."
Rusl chimed in with agreement. "How could the goddesses not smile upon their selected hero? You know, every night I have to explain to Colin that his time will come when the goddesses smile upon him also. For now, he should keep practicing with my favorite student." Rusl gave Link a friendly punch on the shoulder.
Link couldn't help but smile at Rusl, who was like the father he never had. He also had such a soft spot for Colin. He secretly hoped that when the time came for children, he'd have a boy with Colin's amicability. "Well, you don't have to exclude me because I'm engaged."
Rusl and Fado exchanged glances, debating who would speak up first. Rusl cleared his throat, "A newcomer has been walking around the village. Fado thinks she's rather attractive."
"Hey!" Fado crossed his arms, exasperated. "Didn't you just agree with me and tell me not to tell Uli?" Rusl flailed his arms in the air, "Shh! Keep your voice down!"
Link couldn't help but chuckle. He did appreciate the simplicity of the village gossip. There wasn't much to go around nowadays. Besides his own wedding, of course. Rusl and Fado continued to bicker, causing Link to shift his thoughts back to work. Until he heard the distant voice of Mayor Bo beckoning to him.
"She's coming this way!" Rusl and Fado both exclaimed, going completely mute. Link glanced up to see Mayor Bo accompanied by a woman, who was not Ilia. Link had never seen this woman before. He certainly would have remembered if he had, for he had never seen such beauty before.
She was dressed quite conservatively. Dark colored linens were draped around her body, not revealing an inch of skin besides her face. Link found the garb she wore to be quite unusual. If she was trying to blend in, it would be hard to do with a face like that. Her eyes seemed like they were painted by the goddesses; he never saw eyes so e/c. Her h/c hair was pinned behind her, but a few pieces escaped to frame her face. Her cheek bones protruded like arrows that pointed to her l/c pout. Link couldn't help but notice the sharp points of her ears. Was she a Hylian like himself? For the moment, Link wasn't sure she wasn't an angel descended from the sky. If the goddesses were real, why couldn't angels be? Then the most unusual thing happened. Link felt his heart do a miniature flip in his chest. He wasn't sure what had caused it. Until he looked at your face once more and felt the reaction repeat itself. Link gently placed his hand on his chest, trying to calm himself. He focused his eyes on Mayor Bo, his future father-in-law, instead.
"Link," Mayor Bo said, shaking his hand, as he always did. He wished he would drop the formalities. It seemed silly now that Link was going to be married into the family. "This is Y/N. Would you mind taking Epona and guiding her into Castle Town? She's lost."
"Aw, Farore, nobody ever comes to visit this village." Fado kicked some mud and slipped backwards in it. The stranger watched the pathetic display of existence known as Fado. Her eyes twinkled with curiosity. A slightly audible chuckle slipped through her lips. She covered her mouth as though she wanted to hide her smile behind her hand.
"It's ok, we all laugh at Fado and his misfortunes. I'm Link." Link stuck his hand out towards her. She stared at it, not shaking it back. Link retracted it, instantly feeling insecure. Had he offended her? "Laugh?" She asked no one in particular.
"Ah, yes, it's ok to laugh!" Fado still lied on his back in the mud. He stood up to grab her hand and introduce himself, only to slip backwards once again, pulling the elusive woman with him. Link's reflexes kicked in, and he bolted forward, wrapping his arms around her waist. Link caught her just in time.
The woman's hands clung to Link's bulging biceps. Part of the linen that was wrapped around her slouched to reveal some of her shoulder. That's when Link saw them.
Twili markings.
There was no mistaking the intricate pattern of them drawn out on her exposed flesh.
"Forgive me. I-" Link couldn't tear his eyes away from the luminescence of the markings. A Hylian with Twili markings? What in Hylia's name was going on? Who was this woman?
And why couldn't Link release her from his arms?
A/N: Edited 10/23/22
Why can't Link let you go from his arms?  :p

Aww, I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling good. Here, have a thing I just wrote. Fanfiction of magical girl au, because why not.
Sky walked to Cafe Courage for the third time this week. He tells himself that it’s because he’s determined to get that pretty barista to just let him pay for the stupid drink. Well… he tries to. Leo says that that’s only part of the reason. The little guardian refuses to let the young man deny that it’s mostly because he just wants to see them again. Sky gets to the door only to find the usually bright and cheerful place dark, the sign on the door was flipped to “closed.”
He stares, unblinking and dumbfounded, at the sign for a solid three minutes.
“Hold on,” says Leo. “Didn’t we see Twilight working there? Maybe he knows where they are.”
Sky grinned and thanked his little companion, suddenly remembering that as well. He pulls out his phone and immediately texts his friend.
“Was about to try and pay for my drink
Y’know, like a normal person
But the cafe’s closed???
Are they alright???
Why???”
The messages showed “read” immediately, but Twi a couple of minutes to reply. (He was too busy laughing Sky)
Cafe’s closed because they’re feeling under the weather. Apparently I can’t be trusted to run the place by myself 🙄
Sky found himself blinking at the screen. It was like a pit had opened up in his stomach. He was really worried about Enno. He cared a lot more than he was ready to admit.
He quickly texted Twilight his thanks and set off quickly towards home.
It wasn’t until he was halfway through making his famous pumpkin soup that he remembered two, admittedly, very important things:
1. He has no idea where Enno lives
2. He doesn’t even have their phone number. Wouldn’t it be weird for him to drop off soup?
Sky didn’t notice he’d been muttering this bit aloud until Leo piped up.
“Just text Twilight and tell him you made them soup. See what he does from there. Either he’ll offer to take it to them or he’ll take you to them. Either way they get your soup.” He did have a point.
Shooting his guardian a smile, he pulled out his phone and sent Twilight a quick text about the soup. It popped up as read, but he didn’t get a reply for six minutes and 42 seconds. (No way, he wasn’t counting…. Totally not)
When the reply came, it startled Sky so badly that he almost threw his phone across the room. Almost. But that would be silly. He’s a literal superhero — it should take far more than a simple text notification to startle him that badly.
“Alright. They say they don’t mind too much if you come to drop it off with me. I’ll be at your place in five.”
Sky was practically beaming. Leo laughed at him.
~~~
Sky knocked on the door, and it was answered by Enno’s roommate Pinky. Pinky had been given instructions (from Enno) to take the soup and shoo him away, but with a mischievous twinkle in her eye, she brought Sky and Twilight into the kitchen. She sat Twilight down at the table and had Sky pour a serving-sized bowl of the warm pumpkin-y liquid from the massive pot he’d brought. (How on earth had he managed to carry that thing?)
Sky was then shooed away by Pinky and found himself standing outside Enno’s room about to knock on the door.
~~~
Sky didn’t leave for at least three hours. What had started with a very flustered and confused Enno (who swore vengeance upon Pinky) ended up with Enno eating some hot soup while Sky gently brushed the tangles from their hair. He kept at it even after Enno was well aware that there were no more tangles. Neither of them said anything about that. Instead, Sky told them all about his day, about dumb things he’d seen Twilight do, and anything else he could think of.
Enno took over the conversation when they felt like it, but they were sick, so Sky took it upon himself to entertain them while they ate. And while they just rested. It didn’t matter one bit that he was doing most of the talking. He was just grateful to be able to help take care of them — they were always doing that for him after all (what with all the coffees they kept making him, there were honestly days where he didn’t think he’d make it through without one of those “heart attacks”).
Sky didn’t leave Enno’s side other than to fetch water or other things they requested until they fell asleep. Coincidentally, that was in the middle of a story about a funny class he’d had a week ago.
~~~
With Enno sound asleep, Twilight, who’d been chatting with Pinky the whole time, took Sky back home. On the ride back, Sky smirked to himself thinking about the 20 he’d slipped under the soup pot as he set it on the counter. He’d won big time that night. Not only did he feel like he’d finally taken a step into becoming friends outside of the cafe, but he finally got to repay them (literally) for their kindness from day they met.
~~~
Or so he thought. As soon as Enno was feeling better and reopened the cafe, they just made him another “heart attack” and refused payment. Twilight just about died laughing.
You did ask us to send sky…
Get well soon!!

What about Legend and Wind for 2? And both being dramatic and milking their cold for all its worth
Dramatic babies, the lot of them.
(Click here to read on AO3)
“I swear to Farore, if I sneeze one more damn time—”
“Oh stuff it!” Wind interrupted. “My sinus headache is way more annoying than your stupid sneezes and you don’t see me complaining about it!”
“You’re literally complaining about it right now!”
“That’s because you won’t shut up!”
Twilight sighed heavily, looking at Wild. “Is the tea ready yet?”
The champion shook his head, looking mildly entertained at the scene. “Not yet, sorry.”
Legend honed in on the conversation immediately. “What kind of tea?”
“Chamomile,” Wild answered. “It’s for Captain and Smithy, they’ve got some pretty bad headaches.”
Legend crossed his arms, rolling his eyes. “They’re not sick, I am.”
“Oh brother,” Wind grumbled, shoving him aside and puffing out his chest. “Don’t worry, Champion, I’ll make sure he doesn’t steal the tea.”
“You realize he’s literally just boiling water, right?” Twilight noted exasperatedly. “You can make whatever tea you want with it, Veteran. And you too, Sailor.”
“I don’t need tea,” Wind scoffed. “Just pumpkin soup.”
Wild smiled kindly. “I can do that.”
Wind brightened immediately. “You can?”
Wild laughed. “Of course I can, I know how to make pumpkin soup!”
Wind’s eagerness grew muted, and he narrowed his eyes discerningly. “I bet it doesn’t take like my grandmother’s soup. She makes the best soup when I’m sick.”
“Oh yeah, wanna bet?” Wild challenged.
“Yeah! Fifty rupees!”
“You’re on, Sailor.”
Wind smiled and then grimaced as he coughed for a little while, withering into himself and fixing Wild with the most pathetic look Twilight had ever seen on the sailor’s face. “But can I have some milk in the meantime?”
Wild sifted through his belongings before pulling out a bottle and offering it to their youngest member. Wind took it and guzzled most of it down, sighing in blissful relief. Then he looked sadly at the champion again. “Do you have any honey?”
The champion pulled out the requested item, saying, “You can only use some, okay? I’m running low on it.”
Wind nodded with a small smile, mixing the two together and sipping again with a satisfied breath. Then he crinkled his eyebrows together in yet another pout. “Can I have dessert with the soup?”
“Oh, will you quit milking your cold, you’re not dying,” Legend snapped.
Twilight chuckled, giving a silent offering by reaching towards the sailor. The boy scurried over hastily, sliding into the space created for him as Twilight wrapped him in a side hug.
“This is all the Old Man’s fault,” Legend grumbled, crossing his arms. “He gave us this damn cold in the first place.”
“What does it matter who gave it to you?” Twilight sighed. “As you said to Sailor, it’s just a cold.”
“I know that!” Legend replied, kicking a rock and walking to Twilight’s other side, plopping down beside him. “It still sucks, okay?”
Twilight watched him for a moment as he curled in on himself, and he tapped him lightly with his knuckles. Legend glanced at him, looking sour, but nevertheless leaned against the rancher.
“I don’t like being sick,” Legend said softly.
Twilight recognized it for the apology that it was and gave him a light squeeze, patting him on the back. “I understand. Hopefully it’ll pass as quickly as it did for the Old Man.”
Legend harumphed at that. “It better or he’s never going to hear the end of it.”
There was a comfortable silence for a moment, and then it was broken by—
“HEYYY!”
Twilight jumped, looking around for the source of the familiar shout. The postman ran over with his usual bustle, huffing a little harder than usual. He reached into his pouch, automatically holding a letter out to Sky, who was a few paces away. “Mr. Link, I have a letter for you!”
Sky, who had been tending to Warriors and Four, paused from his work and hesitantly grabbed the letter. “Thanks?”
“Okay, now wait, before you go, I have a few questions—” Legend interjected, rising.
The postman interrupted him with several loud coughs. “Oh, excuse me, sorry! I’ve had the most terrible cold lately, it’s been slowing me down. I can’t stay, there’s mail to deliver!”
With that, the postman was on his way. Everyone looked at Sky, who squinted at the envelope. “It’s for you, Sailor.”
“Maybe it’s from Aryll again,” Wind surmised in a congested voice, sneezing as Sky walked over to deliver the letter to him.
Everyone watched him as he started to read. “Yep! It’s Aryll. Oh no, she’s got a cold too!”
Legend narrowed his eyes. “Wait a freaking second. Your sister’s sick?”
Wind nodded.
“And the postman is sick? The postman who would have accepted a letter from her?”
“I guess? Our postman doesn’t look like that, though—”
“But your postman would have to deal with that postman.”
“Yeah.”
Legend looked at Time. “Didn’t the postman talk to you when we were at the ranch? And that’s when you got sick?”
Time looked away thoughtfully, and then a small, amused smile pulled at his lips. “As a matter of fact, yes.”
Legend sneezed and then huffed, coming to some conclusion as he leaned against Twilight again. “That settles it. Sailor, your sister is trying to infect every Hyrule in existence.”
Wind stiffened. “It’s not her fault!”
“Of course not,” Twilight piped in. “It’s the postman who’s spreading it.”
Everyone looked at Sky.
The young knight raised his hands in surrender. “Hey, he got near me for like two seconds!”
“Nope – banished,” Warriors remarked, waving a hand in a shooing manner towards Sky. “I’ve already got a headache, I don’t need a cold on top of it.”
“But—”
“Banished.”
Sky rolled his eyes, walking towards the edge of camp as everyone laughed. Wind and Legend settled against Twilight again as Wild delivered tea to Four and the captain.
“Well, now you can’t get on the Old Man’s case about it,” Twilight said softly, wrapping his arms around his younger brothers. Wind hummed with happiness, rubbing his cheek on Twilight’s fur pelt before scurrying towards Wild to ask for more snacks.
Legend stifled another sneeze. “No, but I can still complain about it.”
Twilight laughed. “I’d be worried if you didn’t, Vet.”

/Notes: I was reading how mute/deaf people interact and noticed that most people say they "SPEAK sign", and found that really interesting. So if I ever wrote "speaking sign" or anything similar its because of that, no words where vocalized by the characters unless specificed.
Also, I not good at writing. This is just brain rot dump after reading the above fic haha- do check out for context tho
anws am thinking about alternate scenario for the fic where-
Legend felt guilty and tries to make Wild comfortable talking again.
In the only godsdamned way he knows.
If it was Legend who goaded Wild into this, then he will goad him out.
The group was hiking through Wild's Hyrule. Time is leading, discussing something on the map with Twilight. Wild is still silent, choosing to walk to the end of the group, next to Four, who is checking all the broken weapons. Champion would still smile or look up when he found a strange looking bug, laugh when Wind tells stories of his days on sea and in his New Hyrule, "There were trains and they made the funniest sounds!"- whatever a train was. Sometimes, he would run up to tap Hyrule's shoulder and point at some landmark, promising he would take him there.
Legend picked an oppoturnity when Wild is just by himself. The group chef is checking his photos, grinning silently.
"Hey Wild", Legend tapped his shoulder, "about yesterday's pumpkin soup- it tasted like shit"
Wild looked up in absolute shock. Sky turned back with an audible gasp. "Legend??"
"Yea no offence",he continued," it was under seasoned"
"Wait, why didn't you say anything yesterday?", asked the Captain
Legend lies without blinking. "Well, I was organizing my stuff and got distracted." He signed behind his back, making sure Wild wouldn't notice. "Trust."
Captain just shrugged it off.
The Vet continued. "The soup's was burnt! I don't know how the other's bowls were, but mine tasted like it was ash!". He turned to see Wild face looking scandalized.
Perfect.
Wild tugged his Slate to his side, and started signing aggresively. "How. Dare. You. Insult. My. Cooking." He made an effort to snap at each word he spoke in sign.
The Vet smirked. "I bet you didn't even know how to mash the pumpkins properly. My bowl still has bits of pumpkins, whole."
Wild pulled down his hood. He looks Proper Mad. "Well, at least I didn't try putting raw garlic into my soup!" Wild signed angrily.
"Well, at least I didn't try putting anything that resembles rotten flesh!" Legend snapped back.
"There is no way you tasted flesh in a pumpkin soup, it must be you who have a defective tounge" Wild signed.
"Maybe you should have checked if the pumpkins had bugs or worms, what kind of chef who doesn't check the quality of ingredients"
"Excuse me! If it was you I bet you'll give us literal twigs to eat!" Wild let out a small grunt while signing.
Everyone is looking now. While its pretty nice Wild isn't putting on his blank face he had when he was silent, the guy is stomping the ground, pointing fingers at Legend.
The Vet pretends to not notice. "Well, at least my bread wasn't under-kneaded"
Wild stared at him, yelling, "YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO MAKE BREAD!"
Time and Twilight, who was busy with the maps, turned back at the familiar voice they haven't heard for so long.
No one makes a comment on Wild speaking however, and they just looked at each other. Wild didn't care. Legend just smirked. "Well, want to test out that theory?"
"Oh, its a deal alright. When we have lunch you and I are having a bake off!"
Wild stormed off to the front, asking Time how long until their next destination is. He's still speaking sign, but he added words on top, and looked a lot more cheery than before.
Captain turned to Legend smiling. "I don't know how you did that, but good job, Veteran."
Okay, but for real. Legend doesn't know how to make bread. He frowned at the thought of losing to Wild... edit: added some lines to make it flow better-ish

Ended up doing some redesign pages for some Hyrule Warriors characters for fun because what's there to do on a lazy Saturday?
Tumblr media
The way my rewrite works is that OOT is taken from the Child Timeline, after Link has gone back in time after defeating Ganondorf, meaning that Ruto would still be a child. So I have thusly made that change.
I wanted to keep her design relatively simple because it's so iconic, but I added a few details like the pearls and earrings to give a little bit of detail. I didn't want her to stand out as too simple in a sea of redesigned, detailed characters. The Silver Scale weapon I changed up the design a bit because it looked a little awkward with Ruto's new look.
She's also the only one I did costumes for because I loved some of the ideas but thought how tragic it was that they either didn't work or were recolours. Yesterday, my sister got me the Majora's Mask Himekawa manga, so I was overjoyed to make a design based off of Lulu. I basically just made her fins very dress-like and modified the shape of her ears and eyes to an extent. I merged the Wind Waker and Great Sea costumes to create the middle costume, which is meant to look like a one-piece bathing suit. I also took a little bit of inspiration from Marin and made her pearls into tiny flowers. The last one is the Twilight Princess costume, because that pink skin looks dreadful for something that's meant to be TP. It's probably meant to look like Rutella, but Ruto just looks sunburnt. So I mixed my inspo with Rutella and a bit of the TP Zora in general tbh. My favourite part are her ears and earrings ngl.
Tumblr media
I have a few problems with Volgas design and I tried hard to fix it, but I'm generally not good with skulls or very muscular men. I'd like to think I did okay though. I generally wanted to really get across that he's a dragon. This Volga would have to be coloured to truly see the difference because I want to take more from his Master Quest costume's colours instead.
I just changed up the small details to really hammer home that he's not human. In a way, you could compare his armour to Zelda's, which I may play around with their dynamic at some point. I even changed up his weapon took like like a couple giant, jagged teeth on a fancy stick.
I wanted his design to feel very over-the-top and like a masquerade costume like my redesign of Cia, and Wizzro's design in general.
Tumblr media
This one needs a little bit of context to how the great fairies work in the re-write. Depending on where the scenario's location is, the fairy be different. As an example, the Twilight Princess scenes (tbh I can't remember if any of those scenarios required a great fairy) will have that games respective fairy, as does Ocarina of Time. With Skyloft, I've encorparated that game's Zelda in as a way to merge her and Fi into one fighter and for plot purposes. That Zelda (I've named Dove so far for clarity) does the whole getting the pumpkin soup to Levias, though she uses her Loftwing and a bunch of fairies for help. But that leaves Hyrule Warriors, which doesn't have their own Great Fairy and has the OOT Great Fairy instead.
So I came up with this one. I have a running theme with some character designs of ancient eras, whether it be Greece, Rome, or Japan. To fit with Link and Zelda's designs, I went for the idea of a nymph for their Great Fairy, but instead of being associated with passion and positivity, she seems more upset to fit with the slightly darker theme of the re-write. This design actually merges three types of nymph actually. She functions exactly the same as the regular Great Fairies - she still sends fairies from her temple or fountain to assist Hyrulean forces.
You may have noticed that I drew some flowers at the bottom of the page, and I erased it, but there were dragonfly wings I used as reference. I used a lot of flowers with connotations of sadness, as well as magic and power, as well as ferns which are apparently associated with the fae. So yeah, I really like flowers and I used to be obsessed with Greek Mythology. Can you tell?

Legend like time try going to zelda for help but everything failed to cure his partner, he even try going to his curse items for answers but nothing can helped

CoA asks you say?
Do your links have favourite comfort foods or routines they end up sharing together?
(Also if u want to share your lu thoughts on the same question too that'd be neat too)
I’m going to just do comfort food for now because if you add my links to the lu guys you get 23 links and that’s a lot
Long post ahead since I did both XD
Courage of ages
Cloud— pumpkin pie is his comfort food, his mom used to make it a lot when he was small so it’s got lots of good memories associated with it. Slate makes him some once and he nearly cries
Mini— the brioche you can get at the bakery, he loves popping in there for some with Zelda. And also getting the chance to find a kinstone piece
Kaleidoscope— he likes these sweet/sour berry tart things that people only make during a festival once a year, they have good memories associated with them.
Sprite— he likes fruits a lot, especially particularly sweet ones. Kokiri pretty much eat nothing but fruits/veggies so it’s what he’s used to, makes him think of home.
Gloam— anything made by Uli, there’s nothing like a home-cooked meal
Light— he’s always liked sweet stuff, but especially these cake things the royal baker makes. Zelda sneaks them to him and they eat em together
Windy— grandma’s soup of course, is there even any other option??
Spirit— Niko always makes the exact same stew for dinner every night and Spirit loves it no matter how many times he’s had the stuff
Hibiscus— apples, particularly his uncle’s secret apple cider recipe. He’s been begging him to tell him the recipe for years, (uncle still refuses) and nobody makes it like him.
Hue— he really likes pancakes... the blacksmith’s wife makes really good ones, they make him think of home
Brownie— tea, particularly if he can manage to get some honey for it. It calms him down and keeps him going, and is an excellent way to keep warm if you can’t have a fire for too long
Era—he hadn’t had it in years but kettle corn. There was this street fair that came by occasionally when he was a kid that had it, and he still loves it.
Slate— everything. just kidding, but he’s rather fond of spicy pepper mix (or whatever it’s called). It was the first food he made for himself up on the plateau, it’s what made him realize he loved cooking after his memories were lost
First— when he was alive he was rather fond of cake... chocolate especially...
Linkeduniverse
Time— not exactly a food but milk. Makes him think of his home and Malon, he’ll never turn down a cup
Twilight— Ordon goat cheese. He loves that stuff, would eat it with literally everything if he could.
Sky— probably pumpkin soup. Either that or he hates the stuff, it’s one or the other XD
Warriors— he’s awful fond of chocolate, it’s his go-to comfort. when he can get his hands on it he hoards it like a dragon
Four— his grandfather makes a pretty mean lasagna, he really loves it
Wind— grandma’s soup of course, is there even any other option??
Legend— just nice crisp apples for him. A nice taste of home he can bring with him wherever he goes.
Hyrule— sugar water, or honestly even just plain sugar. He loves the stuff, even if it’s a little hard to get his hands on, it reminds him of the fairies
Wild— fruit pie. It’s Zelda’s favorite, turns out it’s his favorite too

Pumpkin cheese soup! (plz excuse the terrible lighting)
Tumblr media
1.5 pound pumpkin, sliced
Some water to almost cover the pumpkin.
Chicken stock or a bouillon cube, optional. Could be veg or fish too, I'm using chicken bc I have it. Just be aware of the salt in the stock/bouillon
Two cloves of garlic, sliced
If you have left over roast chicken or rotisserie on sale, shred it a add it in, with the bones.
Dump everything into pot and boil till pumpkin falls apart. About 10min if you sliced it thin.
Season to taste, add some milk if you want. Some cayenne pepper would be great, the heat goes very well with the sweetness of the pumpkin. A little pumpkin spice is good too. Or whatever herb you have.
Add a slice of cheese off the heat. Cover and wait a minute or two for it to melt then stir until both cheese and pumpkin are all smooth.
Don't burn your tongue, it's good evening when cold.
Drizzle some olive oil if you want to be pretentious. Didn't show up well in the photo tho so it's moot. At least it taste nice.
1.5 pounds pumpkin plus the meat of half of a small chicken makes about two bowls of soup. I also wanna try making it with fish, you know like in twilight princess.
