In the eyes of a Queen, what are you to him?

Jaxon Crowley belongs to @ryker-writes, Riddle belongs to Twisted Wonderland, I took out all the ocs because I felt like they added nothing to the story :( sorry guys

Summary: In which we see Riddle and his thoughts

In all chances, Riddle doesn’t hate Jaxon no

But after the rumors he’s heard of the older beating up one of his dorm’s students…

Well, for the sake of his students and by the headmage’s rules, he’ll protect them

Yes, he does implement a rule to not go near him under no circumstances

Yes, he…he eventually breaks his own rule…

Riddle only tolerates him. No more, no less

But then he sees the prefect hanging out with him

He thinks they’re crazy for just being around a guy like him

Until he actually does talk with him

“Under no circumstances should you be out of your dorm after curfew. I heard this from Ramshackle!”

“Well what are you going to do about it? Tell the old man?”

He doesn’t think the prefect is crazy anymore, just plain ignorant! Even the other students who are just transfers, even more students that were even told themselves!

Everyday is another argument! He wishes that Jaxon could be in the first or third years so he wouldn’t deal with him when they pass through the halls.

The students have all either gotten out of the annoyed Riddle’s way before

“No eating or drinking before class!”

“Sweet seven, it’s just a damn soda! Calm down, you’re short because you built up so much anger!”

It’s gotten to the fact that both of them feel weird if they don’t argue about something everyday

One day, the class they usually cross paths beforehand had gotten cancelled for a teacher meeting so Jaxon and Riddle didn’t bump into each other that day

Unconsciously, Riddle began to look out for Jaxon when he’s taking a walk around the school yard

And there he is, sitting down on a bench in the garden feeding the animal goose

Jaxon hears his footsteps and Riddle sees a small upturn of his lips before they go back to his normal rela—

Hang on, how did he know Jaxon’s lips that well?! Did he really pay attention that closely?

Riddle shakes the thought out his head before standing in front of him, a shadow casted over the bluenet

“I guess you really like giving punishments out or something if you found me.”

“Hmph. And I was correct. You’re lucky you’re out the building and not having an animal inside.”

Jaxon continues to feed the goose while Riddles sits next to him, keeping a few inches away at least

For boundary reasons of course! Riddle wants to keep personal space still!

(Despite how he wants to close those few inches)

Then the yellow eyed closed his hand and turned towards Riddle

“Wanna try?”

“I…I don’t eat goose food.”

“Not that Rosehearts,” Riddle’s heart always somehow thumps harder when he says his name out like that. A curse perhaps? “Do you want to try feeding it?”

“I do not. I might scare it off.”

Jaxon scoffs and chuckles as he looks at him with a smug grin

“Please, the only thing you scare off is your students.”

“Hey!” His cheeks burn a fiery red, he looks away before he feels both his hands be gently guided into holding some pellets

Riddle looks back at the other and sees a rare soft expression, Jaxon then holds the cupped palms down towards the goose

“Usually, you feed geese by throwing the feed on the ground but this one’s nice enough.”

“Enough?”

“If people that aren’t scared of me try to instigate stuff with me, it honks at them and chases after it. When it gets close, it bites.”

Riddle stops his hands “Uh-!”

“Don’t worry, I’m here. It won’t hurt you.”

And something just stops Riddle’s heart for a second. He’s lucky to blame his rising blush on the joke that Jaxon made from earlier.

The bird happily eats out of Riddle’s hand, not even blinking at the inner turmoil of the red head

Jaxon takes his hands away once it finishes eating everything, the shorter somehow feeling colder when he does

“See? Even the goose hater can feed a goose.”

“I am not!” Riddle stands up abruptly, making himself taller for a brief minute until Jaxon’s unimpressed face looks at him and stands up

“Yes you are.”

Oh yeah. Riddle definitely broke the rules with this one, even if Crowley allowed students to talk to Jaxon now

Concern builds in Riddle’s heart when Jaxon starts to cough during one of their study sessions

“If you are not feeling well, do not press yourself to go on.”

Jaxon is about to say something but then his cough is heavier

Eyes softened in worry, Riddle lays his hand on the blue haired’s shoulder, pushing a handkerchief into his chest

“—T-thank you.” Jaxon recovers and wipes his mouth discreetly with the fabric

“Please, keep it.”

Jaxon nods before folding the fabric and putting it away in his jacket.

“Are you alright? Sick perhaps?”

“No, these stupid coughing fits are starting to happen this year but I know when I’m sick.”

He feels like Jaxon’s voice is just off when he says that but he doesn’t press him for the truth

“Alright…But please tell me if something is wrong.”

He feels Jaxon’s gaze avert from him to the book

“…why’do you care..?”

The Heartslabyul housewarden doesn’t feel like asking him to repeat that again when he hears it clearly

“As much animosity I showed you when we first met, we are friends now…I think. Either way, I can still show my concern for you no matter what you decide. We both are humans with emotions.”

The taller actually looks shocked for once before he reverts to…a smile.

“I…Thank you Riddle.”

He blushes at the appreciation before rereading the quiz questions again

“A-alright! Let’s get back to work now if you want to pass your tests!”

“What do you think of daisies, red carnations, and red roses in a bouquet together…?”

“Hm? I think they’re all pretty. Roses are my favorite though.”

“I think they are becoming one of my favorites too.”

Towards the end, Riddle realizes Jaxon spaced out when he catches him…staring at him?

He shrugs it off as just him spacing out

“Jaxon! Back to Wonderland!” He waves in front of Jaxon’s face

“You’re pretty.”

Taken back so much, the two pieces of hair almost stick up in surprise. Riddle feels his face become red as roses.

“W-what?”

And Jaxon’s eyes widen slightly with a light pink dusting his cheeks. Riddle almost thinks he’s cute like that. He turns his head to the side

He wishes in his heart that Jaxon could be like that with him everyday.

But he knows it’s bad. Forbidden at home, and Jaxon has too much on his plate to even think about a relationship.

‘He needs to focus on himself. A relationship right now would be no help, a bigger burden actually…He wouldn’t like me back. I…I’ll move on somehow.’

“I said you’re petty.”

“Take that back right now!”

A set of sobs comes from the Scarabia housewarden when he pulls Riddle out of a meeting one day, turning corners and running a fast as he can

Riddle promptly brakes and stops Kalim from almost falling to the ground when he pulls back

“Asim! We need to go to the meeting! Viper is going to lose his mind when—“

“Jaxon isn’t okay.”

What. What did he just say…? M-maybe he heard that wrong since the other is crying

“K-Kalim. This isn’t a funny joke. That meeting is important to us…we cannot ditch—“

“Jaxon’s hurt,” A hiccup comes from Kalim, who’s wiping his never ending tears, “Really bad.”

Riddle’s heart abruptly stops as he hears that and the white haired takes his hand and starts running again. No objections from Riddle even if this would be breaking a few rules.

‘Hey! The rules are to not run in the halls! It’s dangerous!’

‘Hmm…couldn’t hear you…Say that again?’

‘…Jaxon. If this is a prank, I’m going to kill you myself. Please…let me kill you…’

The front of the infirmary has Cater and Lilia standing in front, he sees the other Heartslabyul student crying while Lilia looks heavily worried.

“Ah…Hi Rosehearts. Jaxon…is inside. Kalim, stay here, I’ll take him.”

Kalim nods and sits down with Cater, both staying quiet

Lilia takes Riddle inside the private infirmary room where he sees the nurse adjusting some of the equipment by the bed

The nurse walks away when he hears the two and reveals an unconscious blue haired

Riddle almost gasps.

He walks silently to Jaxon, sitting in a chair next to his bed. Observing him.

Could it really be?

“It is him.”

“What happened…?”

Lilia’s face contorts to a pained expression

“Ha…we should’ve pressed him more. He told us that he was fine and that he just got some coughing bug for the last few weeks. But…” Lilia turns to look at the sleeping boy. “We—I should’ve known that he was lying. Earlier, we all met up to just talk and decorate the club room. It was all normal and we were all just decorating. Even Jaxon acted fine…until he started coughing. We all went towards him since it looked bad. We…we saw the blood and the petals. He wasn’t getting up either.”

Lilia looks stressed out, Riddle notes

“He-He just dropped to his side and Cater picked him up. We all ran here. The nurses found out it was hanahaki. A dangerous disease. was time for Kalim to go to the meeting and we told him to go get you and here’s where we are now…

“How come…you say you should’ve known?”

Lilia’s lips turn slightly but his eyes betray the heartbreak inside, even now Lilia tried to keep a smile

“A folk tale back in Briar Valley. I’ll spare the finer details. There was once a fae soldier who fell for a human knight. The knight had fallen for the the soldier too but could not show in fear that they wouldn’t be accepted. They had started to give each other a white rose every time they met.

“Aren’t Briar valley roses white as well?”

“White ones are a rare commodity naturally. But you’ll see why this is important.”

Riddle looks at Jaxon with concern as he listens to Lilia

“Unfortunately, the knight had taken a hit that was meant for him, dying for a fae. The white rose being stained with his blood. In a fit of grief and anger, the soldier used his life force to curse the humans whenever they had found love, that they would die coughing flowers.” Lilia’s voice hitches slightly “The humans had retreated with the curse bestowed on them while the two died holding each other. Their love was so powerful to prevail through even death itself that the blood of the soldier’s beloved colored every white rose in the valley. The curse that was placed upon though, wrecked those with a yearning love. A seed grew from the infatuation before it pricked their lungs, and they would eventually die from the disease. I thought it was only a rumor during my time…never thought other humans can get it…”

“And that’s the hanahaki disease…”

The fae nods solemnly

“W-wait! Is there any cure? Any at all? Please…”

“There were a few options that the story told. Confess to the person that’s the cause…or remove the seed entirely.”

“He’s not fit to go anywhere or talk at all…please you all can say it was my fault but remove the seed. I want him back safely.”

“See…the repercussions of cutting the flowers out are dire. The flowers are basically made up of those person’s emotions. You’d be cutting their feelings towards the one they love away. Losing them.”

“I said, you all can blame me, please…do it.”

Lilia stands up and lays a hand on Riddle’s shoulder, which he turns his head to look at the noir

“Riddle. You truly don’t understand. Jaxon loves you.”

The redhead’s eyes widen, his heart stops, he stops breathing for a second.

“What…?”

Riddle feels some traces of something wet leak down from his eyes, his vision gets blurrier as he looks at Lilia and then Jaxon

“No, no, no, why?!”

“That’s what he can tell you if he wakes up…”

“I…He should’ve told me…and now he’s dying.”

Lilia gives him a small hug which he doesn’t respond to but appreciates before he stands in the doorway to the main infirmary

“Well Rosehearts. What will you do?”

Riddle hears the door shut, taking off his gloves, he held Jaxon’s hand to his head

“Please…wake up.”

The nurse then points the doctor to his side

“Mr. Rosehearts. It seems like you’re his cause.”

Riddle nods slowly

She speaks softly as she stands by the shorter

“Tell me dear, do you want to tell him you reciprocate or remove his feelings for you entirely…?”

“Wait, I can’t make that decision!” He looks at her with shock

“Since you are the cause of his disease, you may. You can tell him and hope he can hear you…or the other decision. I’ll give you some time to dwell over it.” Her footsteps walk away from him

Now he’s stuck.

Rationally, he should cut the seed out for his sake. Jaxon would live and find someone else and Riddle would remain…friends. It’s what the queen would do.

Emotionally, Riddle wants to tell him how infuriating he feels around him and how much he can’t live without him. But, it comes as a risk that Jaxon might never wake up.

‘What do you think of daisies, red carnations, and red roses in a bouquet together…?’

‘Was he confessing? Daisies mean loyal love and to never tell, red carnations mean that my heart will ache for you, and red roses mean true love…so I’ll never tell you that my heart hurts because of my love for you….why…? Why couldn’t he just tell me…?’

…Riddle made his decision.

Ayyy so I have no idea if I actually botched up the flower sentence but I sewed it together…enough.

Maybe it’s cringey but I liked it!

Pop Music Club Silly

I came across a song that Caleb Hyles was covering as a metal version. Listening to it I could tell it must originally be a pop-generic song. Little bit disappointed that the video description didn't link to the original song, but with the name and artist I was able to find it rather easily.

So, I had a silly idea involving my oc, Bobo, @ryker-writes's oc, Jaxon, and Twisted Wonderland's Pop Music Club. Cater gets the club together and even invites over Bobo. He has the grand idea of them all playing Ed Sheeran's Bad Habits song for Magicam. Bobo having been invited over to help film it and also help decide who gets to be lead singer.

At some point Lilia, Kalim, and Cater lose interest and drop the whole thing before they can get a nice and cool recording. As the three resume their usual chattering and snacking, Bobo turns to Jaxon. The two spend their time creating their own cover of the song to a genre they like. Basically ending up with Caleb Hyles's metal cover. They don't record it or anything, just have fun messing around with changing the song's genre.

I think it would also be pretty funny if it wasn't until Bobo and Jaxon were half-way through the song that Cater, Lilia, and Kalim realize something's different about the song. They then all get hyped to play the song again, wanting to do the metal version too. Yet Bobo bows out, she's not going to help with recording this time. As they might just lose interest before they can properly record again.

Plus Bobo's not a member of the Pop Music club. Actually she's still uncertain if she's technically a part of the Gastronomy club since Grim's in it and her and Grim are one student. She'd like to think she's a member of the Mountain Lovers club, but hasn't bothered to actually ask Crowley about that.

So Bobo skedaddles, leaving Kalim, Cater, and Lilia to rock, papper, scissors over who gets to be the main lead. I assume Jaxon just tolerates their shenanigans and doesn't try to compete for lead singer..?

The Summer After Graduation pt. 2

Pairing: Malleus Draconia, Silver, Sebek Zigvolt x fem!reader (separately)

A/N: @ryker-writes ;) you know. It’s so early and I’m exhausted, so if there’s mistakes I’ll go back and fix them later.

Where does life take you, after you move back to Briar Valley with them?

Part 1 (Kalim, Deuce, Epel, Trey) || Part 2 (HERE)

Malleus Draconia

In Malleus’ eyes, the moment you agreed to be his was the moment you became engaged. A relationship with him starts and stays serious and committed due to the traditions of his species. So naturally, after the two of you graduate from NRC, you move back to Briar Valley with him and his family as his first friend and first love.

There are some difficulties with hostile fae at first. The traditional council would be very against your relationship with him. But according to Briar Valley lore, draconic fae children can only be born from immense love and care between a couple. So even if the royal advisors disagree with the prince’s choice of partner, they couldn’t deny him his happiness if they ever hoped for an heir.

So despite the protests of some narrow-minded fae, Malleus is free to bring you home with him, to live as his partner and lover. Of course, Lilia is In complete support of the two of you, as is Silver. Sebek took some time to come around- he complained a lot about how no one, human or fae, could be worthy of Waka-sama’s affections. But once Lilia pointed out how happy you made Malleus, Sebek quieted down. No one had ever seen the crown prince smile the way he did when you were around.

Moving into the royal palace takes some time to get used to. It’s easy to get lost in the corridors of Castle Draconia. The hallways can also seem gloomy and cold at first, and almost frightening when you walk the stone passageways at night. If you get nervous, Malleus will do his best to be by your side as much as he can, holding your hands and cuddling you at night. If not him, then he’ll send a guard or two to watch over you.

If you want to take part in more diplomatic duties in Briar Valley and insist that you get to know the citizens as their future queen, Malleus will be worried but support you wholeheartedly. You’re considerate, responsible, and kind, three qualities that make for the best ruler. And besides, he doesn’t want you being cooped up inside all day the way he was when he grew up. While the work you’re doing may be dangerous, Malleus trusts you to handle yourself. Just make sure to bring Silver with you along with the rest of your personal guards, just in case. Fae can be unpredictable at times.

When Malleus isn’t busy with his princely duties, he’ll seek you out and whisk you away to a private wing of the castle using magic. The castle is old, and even with hundreds of years of free time, he hasn’t been able to explore every nook and cranny of it. The two of you will roam the hallways, naming the various statues you come across and slow-dancing in empty ballrooms with ancient music echoing from an unknown place within the walls.

“Briar Valley has come alive, my dear. Do you hear that? They are greeting their new ruler. This is all for you.”

At night, nothing makes Malleus happier than returning to his bedchambers to find you cuddled up in the sheets. He’ll slide into bed around you, tail unfurling to curl around your body and hold you close to him. He’ll spread his wings and rest them over your body to protect the two of you while you snuggle through the night.

Malleus might not know much about romance, but he does know when he’s found the one. He’ll have to ask the royal jewelers for a ring soon- infused with magic and inlaid with his love.

Silver

All his life, Silver was trained to become a knight for Malleus. It’s exactly what he did in the years he attended NRC. But what Silver hadn’t realized yet was that it was more of an obligation than his true calling. After meeting you and moving back to the Valley of Thorns, Silver began craving a quieter lifestyle- one where he could enjoy your company without having to be on guard duty 24/7.

It’s Lilia who first notices Silver’s restlessness, and he takes the matter to the young king. The two of them surprise you and Silver with a little graduation present- a cottage deep in the forest. Malleus tells Silver that he’s promoted him from the title of knight to that of a lord- the land that the cottage is built upon is now his to care for and do as he pleases. He’s already had servants move yours and Silver’s things there. Silver was initially worried that he was being fired from his job for falling asleep too much, but with some reassurance from his father, the two of you were on your way.

The cottage is gorgeous, situated in a clearing with a meadow and waterfall. The sun caught the water just right every morning- creating rainbows through the spray that danced in the dawn. It’s the perfect place for you and your boyfriend to live a peaceful, quiet life. The nearby villages are peaceful ones, and don’t mind having two humans living in their vicinity. They occasionally come by to drop off homemade food or ask for Silver’s help, but otherwise it’s just the two of you.

Silver’s animal friends come by daily to help out with the chores, making the workload light. The birds do the laundry for you and hang clothes out to dry, while deer often come by to help weed the garden. Even the squirrels play their part in helping to patch up holes in the walls and roof.

With only light work, your days are spent by Silver’s side, going on horseback rides through the meadow and napping with him in the garden. Finally, you have time to learn all of the things you’ve ever wanted to do. Speaking another language? Reading a book? Learning to sew? You have all the time in the world.

Date nights become a regular occurrence; something that you couldn’t do back at the palace. One of the most memorable dates is a time where Silver covered your eyes and led you to a beautiful meadow on the mountain, overlooking a valley. As you watched, songbirds swooped down carrying a picnic basket and blanket, setting up a romantic little spot for you and Silver to lay together and watch the sun go down. While you were busy watching the stars come out, a gentle smile graced your lover’s features. Yes, the sky was beautiful- but he could never take his eyes off your smiling face.

Sebek Zigvolt

Sebek Zigvolt has always known his dream was to serve Malleus Draconia in any possible way. A love life and career don’t always mix, so he feels grateful that he found you- always so willing to support his dreams. It helps that you and Malleus are on friendly terms as well. Nothing makes Sebek happier than seeing his lover and his Lord get along well.

Life with Sebek in Briar Valley is pretty similar to life at NRC for a while. Besides the fact that you don’t have to attend classes, Sebek still gets up at the crack of dawn every day to do weight training and go on a morning run, to train for the royal guard exam. He’ll ask you to get up with him, but ultimately leaves it up to you. If you have trouble sleeping, he wouldn’t want to tire you out. But for a while, you won’t be getting many lazy mornings with your boyfriend.

While Sebek is gone, his family will keep you company. Sebek’s mother loves to gush about her son’s younger days and show you embarrassing photos, while his father is quite happy to have another human around for once. His brother and sister love teasing him- who knew that grumpy Sebek would end up falling so hard for a human?

It’s a little-known fact that Sebek is actually afraid of horses- he tolerated being in the equestrian club because he needed to know how to ride if he wanted to be a knight for Malleus. Sebek will want to hold your hand before he goes to riding classes in the afternoon, and he’d appreciate it if you’d watch him- he’d feel safer if you did. He’ll do the same for you when you need him to be strong for you as well.

The both of you will be so proud when Sebek finally passes the class, and is certified as a real Briar Valley knight. Lilia assigns Sebek to lead a new, special battalion, one directly under his and Malleus’ command. Sebek will wear his uniform with the crest on it- a peacock with honeysuckle and iris flowers surrounding it, and a tail made of eucalyptus leaves- proudly. He’d probably wear it to sleep if you didn’t remind him to change out of his work clothes.

Sebek is a big deal in Briar Valley, and gone for work trips often. While you do miss his company, it also gives you time to plan surprises for him, such as learning to speak his native language. While Sebek has mostly gotten over his prejudice towards humans, he’s still immensely proud of his culture as a nocturnal fae. If you take the time to learn the language of his heritage from his mother, Sebek will realize that the feelings he holds for you are not between a human and a fae, but one between soulmates.

SUBMISSIONS FOR THE LOSER'S BRACKET ARE OPEN!

Welcome to the Loser's Bracket submissions! If you don't know how it works, here's a rundown:

For about a week, I will have nominations open for the Loser's Bracket. Nominate as many characters as you want who were in the tournament but have lost, but do not nominate someone more than once or someone who wasn't in the main tournament. (All contestants who lost prior to the semifinals have a shot to be nominated.)

After the Loser's Bracket nominations have been recorded, I will take the top 16 most nominated characters and begin the Loser's Bracket, which will last 4 rounds. Each round will last only a day, unlike the main tournament, where each round lasted a week.

The winner of the Loser's Bracket will have an honorary place on the podium and be mentioned in the finals winners post.

I am the better parent here

Since Karrigan got stuck in Twisted Wonderland with her daughter. She has kind of become the mom of the school. This got around fast and how Karrigan treats Jaxon, she can see a lot of herself in him but she doesn’t want to over step. She is gentle and kind to him but like i said she doesn’t want to overstep or cross any of his boundaries.

Jaxon. It’s quiet.. to quiet.

Jaxon has asked the others to leave him alone for a while his social battery is low and he needs it to recharge and he is feeling sick.

Meanwhile with Karrigan who is with Deuce trying to help him with his homework for Crewel.

Karrigan. I never really liked alchemy.

Deuce. Really your so good at it.. Is that headmaster?

Karrigan looked up to see the headmaster walking over to them. She got up and meet him half way

Karrigan. Hmm do you need something Mr Crowley?

Deuce watched this peaceful talk turn into a yelling match that Crowley somehow is losing.

Karrigan. At least i am a good parent to my child you man child! Now if you will excuse me i need to get back to the Ramshackle to cook dinner. Sometime around midnight Jaxon heard a knock at his door he got up and opened it to see chicken noddle soup and a note by it

NRC School Newspaper: A Birthday Interview with Ryker Crowley

Happy birthday!

Thank you! I gotta say that this has been one of my best birthdays so far! I love how NRC celebrates birthdays, and since we had one yesterday, it's like one very long party.

That's right, we celebrated Riddle's birthday yesterday.

Yup! Me and Riddle are pretty similar in a lot of ways. Aside from our birthday's being one day apart, we're also the same height, and even some of our personality. I'm a big rule follower and pretty strict when it comes to my school work and grades too.

Are you two close?

Well I'm a Heartslabyul student and he's my dorm leader, so we see each other often. I'd say we get along pretty well, but I wouldn't consider us close.

Who are you close with?

I get along really well with Ruggie, Silver, and Idia. I'd consider them pretty close friends. Ruggie is always fun to do practically anything with, even if it's working jobs, he can make it fun. Silver is really easy to talk to and fun to hang around with. He's the kind of friend I know I can always count on. Idia is the one that I spend most of my time with tho. It's not intentional, but when you're playing your favorite game or watching your favorite anime, you tend to lose track of time.

What are your favorite games and animes?

Some of my favorite games are Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Pokemon, and Stardew Valley. As for anime...my favorite has to be One Piece. It's a very long one, and I'm not done yet, but I love it. I also like Black Butler, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Death Note.

Do you have any dreams for the future?

I want to become an author. I love writing so much, and I'm even taking writing college classes right now. I have a bunch of short stories that I've written and debated creating a separate blog for, but I'm unsure if anyone would even care about it. But I also have an idea for a book I want to write, so completing and publishing that would be my ultimate goal.

Speaking of your writing, how is your blog doing?

It's doing great! I say it often, but I never imagined I'd get as much support as I did. I'm really grateful to all of my followers who give me feedback and requests. I really love seeing their comments and responding. Hearing their thoughts, what they want more of, and interacting with them always makes me happy!

What's your most popular series?

Definitely my broken sibling relationship series. I'm honestly surprised how much everyone loves the angst. It started with Vil after a slight mention that I had an idea for how it could go wrong, but people keep wanting more. Those take a little bit longer to write than most requests, but I always love doing it.

Considering you've written so much sibling angst, if you had to choose someone at NRC to be your sibling, who would it be?

Oh man. That's a pretty tough decision, but I think I would have to say Malleus. He's pretty lonely most of the time, but I think if he had a sibling, he would be a bit happier. I firmly believe that Malleus would treat his sibling very well. Plus, I think growing up with him would've been very fun. I would've loved to be a part of Malleus' family.

Do you consider anyone in Twisted Wonderland your family?

I've accepted Crowley as my bird dad. I know most people wouldn't, but I do.

How are you enjoying Twisted Wonderland?

I love it! I've been playing for a little over a year now. I originally came to Twisted Wonderland through Obey Me, but I play more Twisted Wonderland now. I'm a proud owner of 25 SSR cards, and love the story. My favorite characters have to be Sebek, Leona, and Silver.

What are you talking about?

Don't worry about it.

Uh, okay. Can you tell us about your clothing style?

Sure! It varies from day to day depending of if I'm feeling more feminine or masculine, but lately I've been wearing a lot of Hawaiian shirts. My friend @l1ttleclouds actually made me an aesthetic board for my normal style. Take a look!

Nice! Are there any fun facts about you that most people don't know?

I always have trouble coming up with fun facts, especially ones that most people don't know. So I decided to come up with a few that people may or may not know; I love horror, I have a few succulents, and my eyes have two different colors. To clarify that last one, my eyes aren't two different colors, but each eye has two colors in it. Not mixed together, but separated. So about half of each iris is green, and half is brown. Fun!

Suffocating Love

I have made regrets and mistakes but you have never been one.

Jaxon Crowley belongs to @ryker-writes. I only wrote this for funsies! Riddle belongs to Twisted Wonderland

This is an ending to the Despite it All JaxRid fic I wrote a while ago. To sum up, bleh flowers

Tw: Hanahaki, blood, depictions of throwing up flowers, I think panicking, hurt/comfort

“I’ve made my choice.”

The doctor looks at him with surprise

“Oh my, that fast dear?” She asks him

Riddle looks at Jaxon, holding his hand tighter

“Pardon my language and don’t bring my mother into this but. I want to fucking kill him myself if he manages to wake up. How dare he not tell me.” It’s said with all bark and no bite, tear streaks on his face

The doctor puts a hand on his shoulder. “So, you’re going to be talking to him is what I’m guessing?”

Riddle nods. The doctor smiles at him before she adjusts some of the machines near Jaxon

“Good luck then dear. I’ll tell his friends outside what you’ll be doing and give you some privacy.”

The sliding door shuts and a click and it’s just him and Jaxon again

He takes a moment to breathe for a second.

He doesn’t know what he’ll do if Jaxon doesn’t wake up.

Taking a deep breath, he says everything on his mind.

“You…you inconsiderate, selfish, ignorant, heartless, dishonest bastard…how could you not tell me?” Riddle lays his head down on the bed while holding the calloused hands. Without his gloves, Jaxon’s hands feel right in his…

“I miss you. I miss your annoying face and that stupid grin you had when we argued. I want to feed the animals with you again. I want you to come back. I don’t care if you don’t love me if you wake up, I just…I just want you back alive.” Riddle can feel new hot tears leak down his eyes

“Sincerely, I have no idea how you could contract a Briar Valley disease. But with your luck, I can’t say I’m surprised. Besides the prefect, you have some of the worst luck here in school.”

Memories flash in the red head’s mind, of Jaxon just…being there for him. Understanding him when nobody else can. Teaching him to let loose and break a few rules, feeding a goose for seven’s sake

“I…I should’ve told you. You were there for me when…when crap went wrong. When I fought with Trey or when my mother started to try and dictate what I do at school. Jaxon, goodness, you were by my side and I hadn’t even noticed how much I depended on you. When we didn’t argue about something everyday, it felt…wrong. I looked for you without even knowing. Jaxon…I want to study with you, get to know you better, I want to watch you play your guitar, I want to—“

Riddle runs out of breath for a second.

“I want to stay by your side.”

He can feel himself gripping Jaxon’s hand tighter

“Please…please wake up…I don’t know what I can do without you…I miss you. I miss your voice and your smile. I want to see you smile even more. Just…for me…Please, please, please…”

“I love you.”

Even as Riddle is openly crying, he can’t feel Jaxon move. His heart feels heavy in his chest

Why couldn’t he be better. He should’ve just told him. Now he’s going to leave him alone just like everyone else will and Riddle doesn’t know if he can handle the one person he fell in love with do that to him. Is he going to be alone forever? Watching everyone find someone or be happy by themselves while he’s alone with nobody? He should’ve just let the doctor do the surgery, at least Jaxon would be ali— “You’re…suffocating my hand you know?

Never in his life has Riddle perked his head up so fast, the neck can regret it later but he sees Jaxon’s topaz eyes blink tiredly at him, his coy yet soft smile sh across his face.

Riddle’s eyes tear up again as he tackles him to the bed with a hug

“You-you asshole! You scared me so much!”

“A-ah…Riddle—“ Jaxon starts coughing and Riddle pulls off of him with worry

The doctor rushes back in the room when she feels his heart beat quicken again through her magic grabs a bowl for Jaxon

“Just cough it up, it’ll help.”

The blue haired continues coughing up full bloomed flowers, dripping with blood and vines with thorns until he finally coughs one more time and reveals the seed connecting to the vines

He plops his head back on the pillow once he’s done, panting softly from the excruciating pain

“W…what the hell was that?”

“Is he ok? Is the disease still there?!” Riddle panics for a second before Jaxon grabbed his hand to soothe him quietly

“Nope! Hmm…What did Vanrouge tell me? Oh yes! One of the cures to Hanahaki is confessing to the one the disease based itself off of. And luckily for you two,” She smiles at them “You both reciprocated each other’s feelings. I’m going to have to guess right now that these things are just remnants of Mr. Crowley’s—“

“Jaxon.”

“Oh my apologies, Jaxon’s hanahaki. The seed was the source and it bloomed into deadly flowers. I’ll have to ask Vanrouge later. I’m sure your friends will be delighted to hear that you’re awake!”

She then takes the bowl away and slides the door back. Riddle looks directly at Jaxon

He sits up again and held both of Riddle’s hands

“Rid-“

“Shut up. You didn’t tell me and I didn’t either. I…was so scared that you’d die. Why didn’t you tell me..?” Riddle felt Jaxon cup his cheek with one of his hands and brush his stray tears away. He laid his hand on top of Jaxon’s, leaning into his hold

“…I…I rather lose my own life than someone who I…love. I didn’t want you to avoid me or hate me.

Jaxon still looks at Riddle with adoration

“You’re an amazing person Riddle. It’s a bit surprising that I liked you considering how different we are. Someone like me with you. Reminds me of a story of a beautiful towngirl falling for a beast. I just…couldn’t believe that you’d like me either.” He laughs softly at the end

“Haha…considering you blocked the whole Heartslabyul dorm from speaking to me in the first half of my year here…”

“I…I’m sorry…”

“No, I can see why. I mean the head mage did make it a rule before my overblot.”

“But you’re a human too. Not a monster.”

Jaxon’s breath hitches as Riddle just tells him that. After his expulsion, he ingraved in his head that he was a monster. But for Riddle to just say it earnestly…

Oh he really fell head over heels for him

“Collar me if you don’t want this.”

“My apologies, repeat that aga-“

Jaxon pulled Riddle up to him, kissing him

Riddle lets a squeak out in surprise but closes his eyes leaning into the embrace

They pull apart quickly and Riddle’s face turns red, hiding his face in his hands

Jaxon laughs as Riddle then lays his head down on the bed

“I cannot believe you just did that…”

“Can’t say I did it when you did too.”

“You’re insufferable…”

Riddle looks up at Jaxon, his face mirroring Riddle’s to have pink dusted cheeks

“And? You still loveee mee~”

“S-shut up!” Riddle covers Jaxon’s mouth with his hands

The next time Jaxon has flowers for Riddle is on their first date together

For once, Jaxon seems to be at peace with himself as he gave the bouquet of flowers to the happily surprised red head

“Apple Blossoms, baby’s breath, roses…mind telling me?” Riddle asked as he held the bouquet in his hands

“Mmmm…I had to ask for the apple blossoms from the Feimer student in Pomefiore. Their dorm has so much strong flower smells by the way. Perfume fanatics or something. Don’t you know what it means?”

“I can’t put a finger on it…” He playfully says as Jaxon bends his head towards Riddle’s face

“Preference are Apple blossoms, everlasting love for Baby’s Breath, and finally roses mean I love you of course. Put it all together and what do you get…?”

Riddle blushes as Jaxon inches closer

“I prefer you because I’ll love you forever.”

In the shade of a building, the two privately kiss.

I am so head over heels for these two idiots

Like good job Ryker, you raised your Raven son right (better than Crowley—)

I was gonna make a sequel for bad end too…but honestly I just wanted to make a happy one

CatMask brings Jaxon some gifts

Here's my attempt writing not only a canon character, but someone else's oc. I am not confident in this at all as I'm still new to writing fanfiction for canon stuff. Riddle is from Twisted Wonderland.

CatMask has taken a liking to @ryker-writes's Jaxon.

word count: 1,797

Jaxon had seated himself near the Ramshackle Dorm’s fence. The old, dilapidated building rarely had visitors around, which made it a nice space for Jaxon to get away from everyone. The lunch he had grabbed before heading here was nearly gone. He brought the remains of the meal to his lips to take a bit but tensed as something brushed against his waist. Glancing over, he saw a black housecat staring into his eyes. Blinking and quickly adjusting his sight back to his meal, he frowned a little. Professor Trein has a cat familiar named Lucius, but he had some patches of white fur. He had seen some sort of cat hanging around some freshman, but that one had some weird fire ear whiskers.

Plucking a small, cat-friendly piece from his food, Jaxon held it out to the cat still staring into his skull. The cat dropped its gaze to his palm. Leaning its head down, it quickly ate up the piece. Jaxon left his hand outstretched, allowing it the chance to sniff it. The cat stared at his hand, making no motion to sniff it.

“Oddball.” Jaxon quietly muttered under his breath before slowly moving his hand towards its head. The cat lifted its head up, bumping it into his hand as it resumed its previous staring at his face. He gave it a few cautious pats, but with it showing no sign of hostility or discomfort, relaxed into truly petting it. The cat’s body rumbled in response.

“Quiet one, huh?” Jaxon smiled a little at the silent purring. He shifted his body to get a bit more comfortable, unintentionally bringing his meal closer to the housecat. The cat shifted its gaze and chomped down on the rest of his food before he could properly react. Jaxon huffed, finding it rather cheeky for doing that. Slowly he wrapped an arm around the cat’s body, testing how far he could go. Upon its lack of response, he pulled the cat into his lap, hugging it somewhat as revenge.

It was late, so late that even most night owls of the school were asleep. Yet Jaxon was out of his dorm, walking about the campus. He had used some of his unique magic on himself to fight back the sleep and nightmares that always came for him. Though was it really worth it when it almost feels like a nightmare could be starting right now? What if he had fallen asleep despite his attempts not to? Why did it feel like something’s following him? That something’s in the shadows, watching him, keeping pace behind, then jumping in front at times.

Jaxon stopped, forcing in a deep breath. It was just his magic, just lingering longer than it should. He held it as he told himself it was likely a school ghost. Letting out the breath, he wondered how long a ghost would find this funny. How long until the ghost either jumped out at him or gave up and left? If it would show itself, then Jaxon could quickly make it regret messing with him. Crossing his arms, Jaxon decided to wait. It didn’t take long for him to catch glimpses of something white and something brown.

Furrowing his brow, Jaxon tried to keep his breathing steady as he realized what was approaching did not look like a ghost. A white cat-face-shaped… mask? A white carved stone? A glossy brown guitar that seemed to be levitating in front of the mask? As it got closer, he noticed four white stones? Four white round objects that seemed to take on a walking pattern. It wasn’t until it was a few feet away that he realized it had some sort of body made of shadow. No wonder he had such a hard time seeing it fully before.

As the creature reached him, it shifted smoothly onto its hind legs. It stopped, slouched, as its odd face reached the same height as his own. Jaxon stared at the being, taken aback. This didn’t look like a direbeast nor like a ghost. What in the twisted wonderland could it be? Was the creature becoming impatient with him? Perhaps as it was now, lightly pushing the guitar into him. Without thinking too much about it, Jaxon reached up and took the guitar. Once the guitar was in his hands, the creature slunk back down to all fours. Did it’s face change? Weren’t those teeth grooves slanted before?

Something moved behind the being, catching Jaxon’s attention away from its weird face. Blinking, he realized it was the creature’s tail. Its tail moving lazily side to side. More movement caused him to snap his gaze back to its face. Which was sinking into its body? The face? The mask? The mask seemed to sink into the creature’s head, dimming it to match the same off-white of the stones in its… feet? Jaxon tensed as it reached one of its legs up, reaching for him- wait no, it was reaching for the guitar. It plucked a cord.

“Do you… want me to play?” Jaxon breathed out. If this was some sort of nightmare, it was on the oddly calm side. Sure, he had never seen something like this before and it had stressed him by silently stalking after him in the dark… but it didn’t seem aggressive at all. Shifting his weight to subtly shake out some nerves, Jaxon plucked each one of the cords. The guitar sounded to be perfectly tuned. Keeping his eyes on the creature in front of him, he started to strum out a song.

After a couple of songs, Jaxon suddenly realized the empty space in front of him. He stopped, looking off to the sides to try to figure out where it went. Did he really get caught up in playing to lose sight of the creature? Or did it somehow teleport? Then he felt light pressure on his shoe, prompting him to look down. At his feet was the black cat from lunch earlier today. It had one paw on his shoe, staring up at his face. Its gaze felt way too similar to the shadow being’s unblinking gaze for this to be a coincidence.

He knelt down and the cat reached up, using its paw to pluck a cord. Was this something that familiars could naturally do? He didn’t recall ever hearing about familiars being able to transform. Jaxon sat down, getting comfortable. The cat climbed onto his lap, nosing at the guitar strings.

“Demanding little crap.” Jaxon half-heartedly grumbled. He strummed away, creating melodies for the cat which curled up on his lap, refusing to blink or even move its gaze away from his face.

It wasn’t until near dawn that he saw the cat shift back into the large shadow being from before. The sight was rather odd. It was as if its fur grew and extended into a big fuzzy blob until it smoothed out into shadow. The transformation was rather fast, making it difficult to take in even that. Instead of an increased feeling of weight on his lap, it lightened instead. Its shadowed mask pushed out of its head and the grooves of its teeth slanted. He felt a pressure tug at the guitar. Letting go of it, he watched as the odd creature walked away with the guitar levitating in front of its carved mouth. Watching it slink away, Jaxon could roughly guess it to be a foot longer than his own height.

Jaxon sat at a table in the library, rubbing at his forehead. It had been a few days since he saw that odd familiar. Familiars are supposed to help their mages, right? He wondered if he could somehow get that familiar to help him understand what he was reading. Though would it even help him? Familiars are loyal to only one mage at a time, right? He briefly wondered if he could ask Lucius for help, but the idea of the cat telling the professor how stupid he is…

Jaxon grumbled, shifting up in his seat as he heard a slight commotion. Must be some freshmen getting a bit rowdy in the library. He took a moment to stretch out his limbs, waiting for someone to quiet them down.

“Enough. Quiet in the library.” A somewhat familiar voice caught his attention. Jaxon looked over as the most bizarre sight arrived before him. The shadow creature, which he could have sworn was taller than that, was walking on its hind legs as Riddle seemed to levitate in front of its mask. The beet red of the boy’s face portrayed that Riddle had not agreed to be carried about like this. Yet he wasn’t casting off fire spells. Had he simply given in to the odd being’s whims?

With a quiet thud, it released its hold on the back of Riddle’s blazer collar, dropping him by Jaxon’s table. Reaching its head past Riddle, the creature pulled a chair out. Riddle glared at the shadow that barely reached over his head.

“What is the meaning of this?” Riddle asked, just to find himself being pushed into the chair by one of the creature’s feet. Riddle huffed and adjusted himself. The shadow leapt up, transforming into a cat as it gracefully landed onto the table. Riddle briefly focused his attention on Jaxon.

“Is this your doing?” Riddle shifted his gaze away as the cat nosed the open book on the table over towards him.

“No… I don’t know what it’s doing.” Jaxon answered, watching the cat. Riddle reached out to take the book, pulling it closer and briefly glancing over the page.

“This is one of the third years’ study subjects.” Riddle stated and glanced curiously at the cat, the red finally fading from his face. The cat nodded then looked over at Jaxon. Riddle followed its gaze, giving Jaxon a questioning look. Jaxon stared in surprise and offered a small shrug. The black cat suddenly reached over and batted Jaxon’s face. Riddle let out a small laugh.

“If only it would talk.” Riddle tapped the cat, gaining its attention. “Come on, I’m quite good at animal linguistics. Tell me what you want from us.”

“…”

“I’m not sure it can talk.” Jaxon muttered. Riddle let out a huff.

“Trey thinks so too. I don’t need to look over this subject… Do you want Jaxon to show me something in this book?” Riddle asked. The cat stared into Riddle’s eyes for a moment before reaching a paw out to Jaxon’s head. It seemed to pat Jaxon’s head.

“Right, I forgot that Trey’s mentioned its not very good with yes or no questions.” Riddle sighed. “I’m afraid we’ll have to figure out what it wants as I doubt it’ll let me leave.”

CatMask brought Riddle to Jaxon to try to get Riddle to tutor Jaxon. Those two are stuck there until they finally figure it out or until Trey comes to get Riddle and CatMask.
