Warnings: fluff, violence, smoke being a cutie patootie, and maybe some other things I missed.

Summary: Smoke is an obvious sweetheart who is willing to help you in battle - no matter what. But.. even if you don't need his help? You bet! He's still there!! :)

"You know I can defend myself right?"

You speak almost in a pout, when you see yet again - Smoke haul his body in front of you when you two were ambushed by some enemies. (Ones probably sent by Shang Tsung)

"Of course I know that!- it's just.. what if you get hurt- or-"

You half heartedly paid attention to his rambling when he started defending himself. Yet despite him speaking in his defense, he was still able to take out the remaining enemies surrounding you two.

You knew he didn't think you were weak or anything, it's just the way he was - a habit he made anytime he sensed danger or anytime an enemy would even come within 10 feet of you.

It didn't click in your mind that the reason He was doing this was because he liked you.

At first you just shrugged it off as him trying to be helpful.. or slightly too protective? It only took a few incidents that actually made it obvious to you though finally.

One being;

During training when you were put into a duo team - you were paired with smoke. You two fought against Johnny and Kenshi, a fair fight but anytime he saw either Johnny or Kenshi even look at you, he'd sprint over in front of you like he was some sort of human shield. It shocked you as much as it did Johnny and Kenshi the first time he did it. It didn't take long for them to get used to his habit of the action.

Although another incident made you question why he truly did it-

When you and Smoke decided to stroll down to Madam Bo's for a dinner (in his excuse taking you being a "professional" dinner of two combat partners) you two were walking on the sidewalk of the cobblestone earthy floor of road. But as you two were walking past a few food stands - you heard it before you could even see it; a crashing sound coming from one of the carts. Your mind processed what was happening but not in time for your body to react. Yet you felt strong arms wrap around your body as you squeezes your eyes shut, waiting for some sort of impact.

When met with nothing but silence you slowly opened an eye. Then the other.

You were now able to take in the view in front of you - Smoke with his arms wrapped around your waist , his body hovering over yours as his back was flushed against the cart that had tipped over. With little effort he managed to push the cart back into place with his back.

"Are you okay?!-"

You heard the man call out as his head turned back to you, his eyes wandering over your body as if he was checking for marks.

"I'm fine Tomas- thank you.."

Throughout the entire dinner you caught him taking glances at you as if he was making sure you were okay.

(Which he, of course, paid for all himself)

But what made you suspicious of most was when he jumped in front of you while you were solo dueling against Raiden.

You and Raiden were casually sparring, in request of Liu Kang to help train you both. Some people including Kung Lao and Johnny were watching as some were elsewhere. And surprise - Smoke was watching over you two like you would shatter at any minute.

While sparring you had to admit - you were losing. And it was... pretty obvious. Raiden was a very skilled fighter and losing against him would not be an uncommon occurrence.

Despite that, when Smoke saw Raiden pulling his arm back seemingly about to give a fatal blow - Smoke ran over onto action and jumped right between you and Raiden.

Standing there shocked for a moment before the fight continued - mostly just Smoke taking over your own fight.

That was the big giveaway for you - there was no way he was just doing this out of the kind of his heart? Right?

You finally decided that there was something going on about him, deciding that soon you would need ask him about it.

We've decided that Constantine flirts with pretty much all the Fenton siblings, although Ellie is the only one that really responds much. Danny and him don't meet much and Danny makes jokes out of most stuff (There's ethical concerns, he owns like, as solid 2/3's of John's soul!) and Jazz just, ignores it. Not her type thank you!

Lady G and Danny teaming up to help Red Hood with his corrupt ecto situation, and maybe Jazz can help him find a good therapist because not all of that is the pits my dude. (possible Dead On Main, with a side of Dick/Jazz)

I kinda wanna talk about having Sam and Tuck visit at some point. Mainly cuz we've decided that Sam has been working on a personal project in the Realms for a while, and I kinda wanna make it the Green, and I want her to call Poison Ivy "one of her babies!" the way Ivy calls her plants her babies, yknow? Meanwhile Tuck and Technus have been just, on a tear updating and creating new Realms Tech and code and stuff.

Okay lets get the most obvious one to me out of the way, which is Link in the Yellow Lion. Like. First of all the fact that Yellow is A LEG and also Yellow representing kindness .... I think he really does support the team and grounds them in many aspects. Also Yellow is bulky like a dnd paladin LMAO it just makes the MOST sense to me? Yellow also being the color I associate with Link so maybe that gives me a slight bias lmaooo

The rest are. LESS clear to me. I HAVE already settled on an arrangement I'm more or less okay with but I could make a lot of arguments for alternative placements !! I will also admit maybe the places I settled on are a little color biased?

The Lions DO kind of have traits associated with each one except its. much less clear in some cases than others and I had to be a little flexible bc in my opinion NONE of the teens r like . smart enough for the Green Lion JWBECWUAGAHAA like they're all smart in their own ways and I do bend some rules a little to make their smarts work as an argument but I feel like Green is more book smart than anything which makes it difficult.

Uhmmm everyone else from here on out has at least two lions I could argue for and then I'll say which one I settled on? But like if you disagree thats totally fair LMAO like I said many assignments can be considered

Scary I mainly thought about the Black or Red Lion... There's the whole. Scary's the leader! Thing and also the idea of power corrupting... but also she can be pretty impulsive which is why I considered Red, also her tendency to have fire based magic mishaps LMAO I think Scary shows a lot of growth and inner reflection and also she has good insight on how the others seem to be feeling even if she doesn't always act on it or use it in the right way, so I could see that as the markings for the beginning of a Black Lion learning to be the leader type arc? Also to be honest shes the Main and practically Only contender for Black so she ends up getting it by default.

Hermie I think could be the Blue or Green Lion. I don't actually remember if they say IN THE SHOW what the Blue Lion stands for, but like. I've read so much Lance fanfic LMAO that to me it stands for Flexibility and what is Hermie if not flexible. Maybe too flexible? In the sense of. She will fill any role that is needed or given to her, like water will. I also thought Green bc to me Hermie is a character who is VERY in his head. Like they overthink to the point of looping back around to stupid again but also shes always playing mind games with other people. Hermie seems to always be one step ahead or at least is good at pretending they are. Also you can say the nature stuff is Hermie in his poison ivy era. Green is also pretty small and easy to damage which lines up with how fragile he is in a fight and maybe you could make an argument for the camouflage being like shapeshifting? idk. Anyways I decided on Green I think.

Normal I think I'm biased bc he's my fav and Lance was my old fav and I already made a post before about how I think they're similar and would get along and ANYWAYS LMAO I think its clear I gave him Blue. Something something, the legs being the support of the team something something water meaning flexibility but also ice can be stubbornness something something how I associate Normal (and lowkey the Doodler) with water (a whole nother thing to get into u can ask me to elaborate later) etc. I also played around with the idea of him in Red as Scary's right hand bc . shakes them . I think it could possibly fit but not as well? Fire isn't really Normals thing. I also briefly considered him for Black bc Normal is usually the one pushing the group towards a certain goal, but also his plans kind of never end up going through so I was like hmm not sure about that one. Blue I think is the best fit for him in the end which is why everyone else ended up where they did.

TAYLOR. Ok process of elimination you probably already figured out that I chose Red for him BUT I also considered Blue and Green. Green is fun bc you can play with his roughish abilities, like hiding and sneak attacks. His knowledge is more obscure facts and survival skills but I think it's enough to be a contender! I cannot explain the Blue stuff its all vibes in my head but trust me . I think also leaning into, Blue and Yellow are the legs that support and stabilize the team thing, Taylor is actually pretty good at keeping a cool head all things considered. Red, yes maybe slightly process of elimination but COME ON ITS BIG SWORD AND ALSO FIRE POWERS!!! Taylor would love that shit. Also going zoom zoom fast. Also the Red Lion is the second in command/right hand of the Black Lion and it just fits Taylor's protagonist vibes LMAO I think he usually is off doing is own thing which is also very Red Lion.

So to summarize: Scary Black, Taylor Red, Hermie Green, Link Yellow and Normal Blue.

Again I could totally see the justification for shuffling them around a bit but this is the assignments I settled on? The colors lining up is also nice I will not lie. I also could see an alternate universe where Normal is Red, Hermie Blue and Taylor Green, I think thats my second most favorable arrangement.

The anticipation that bubbled in your stomach had nothing to do with the place you were about to go or the people you were eventually supposed to arrest, but instead it had to do with who was supposed to arrest these people alongside you. Captain Windu was quite kind not to assign any missions for the both of you since the incident, but according to him, no other profiles fit the assignment as well as you and Detective Skywalker’s.

Bullshit. You knew this was Mace’s way of making you overcome by force whichever discomfort still left by your and Anakin’s breakup and putting a halt to the fruitless and neverending bickering sponsored by the precinct’s once dream couple every time someone paired you in anything together. Since you two parted ways, work life with Skywalker became unbearable to the point you considered asking Mace for a move, something Obi-Wan, your precinct’s sergeant, vehemently discouraged you to. You eventually gave in and stayed, colleagues eventually learning not to put you in the same room except in full-team briefings, but you could tell Mace was tired - no, exhausted - of dealing with whatever was going on between you.

The script’s fairly simple: you, the new girl at the Zygerria nightclub, will catch Lars' - Anakin’s - attention, who will try to negotiate with your target (who goes by Jango Fett, according to the investigation) for a night with you using a shit ton of state-owned cocaine as his hand in the deal. Of course this was far from a one night only operation because Lars had to earn their trust, and so did you. You got in your best shape in years, actually learned to pole dance, do a mean routine to N.E.R.D’s “Hypnotize U” and survive inside of a very female-unfriendly place/business; all while reporting your progress to Obi-Wan at the end of the day.

Again: the fact that this night was decisive for the sting didn’t bother you at all. This was far from your first rodeo and your reputation in the precinct preceded you. The fact that it relied so much on you getting that intimate with Anakin after all that you’ve been through is what does.

Seeing him still emotionally and physically hurt, despite the many months that passed since your relationship ended. You haven’t fucked anyone else since (which definitely wasn’t his case, judging by how cozy he was with Detective Amidala lately), and you felt like it genuinely ruined you in the matters of romance and flirting. Not that you were particularly good at it from the start, but loving Anakin was easy, inevitable. You weren’t actively searching for it, or anything really, yet he found you and struck you like lightning; leaving permanent bolt-shaped burns in your skin as the electricity and warmth gave place to resentment and mutual isolation the moment you realized you had totally different perspectives for your futures and Anakin was selfish and petulant as a child.

The car arrives at Zygerria. You take a deep breath and exit the car unceremoniously, after tipping the driver generously even if he wasn’t the warmest - that’s precisely what you needed on a night like this. You arrive way more quietly than you usually do, attributing your slight change of demeanor for your closest girls and bartenders to a bad breakup.

Which was kinda the truth, to be honest.

You store your purse and coat in one of the lockers before fixing your makeup in order to look irresistible for the men and occasional women that occupied the nightclub’s lounge - or perhaps for the one man in particular you hoped that night was as hard for as it was for you. The fabric barely covering your skin, despite being very light and allowing the wind to blow all over your body, accentuated your curves beautifully and bore within its confines the promise of showing more than it should every step you took. 

As you walk around the lounge, you gently and charmingly dodge eager bystanders, their touches and their beckonings as you look for Lars. You wonder what he smells like tonight - his “special evenings” perfume, maybe? The one that penetrated your skin and your senses like a tattoo every morning you woke up by his side? 

How is that in any way an important question to ask yourself, anyway?

After spending the time you did with the other girls, you can’t help but think of how much of a lovestruck, abandoned-by-her-businessman-lover stripper vibe you’re giving out through your behavior. But you were a woman on a mission. Literally. You look for him furtively and in every corner of the room your eyes can reach.

The moment your eyes reach his you can notice him getting steadily into the character. You’ve met many Anakins throughout your personal and professional life, having not met Lars yet makes the pit inside your stomach grow a few inches wider in anxiety. You stride towards the bar and ask for a Moscow Mule in order to calm your nerves as he walks towards you.

What killed you a bit too about doing this with him again was the fact that Anakin was so fun to work with in operations like these. He tried new accents all the time and succeeded in using them, he was always experimenting with makeup, wigs… he was a master of disguises and you could always tell this was an aspect of the job he particularly enjoyed. This time, though, he was barefaced expect for the fact he covered the scar that crossed his eyes; he opted for a shorter, clean-cut haircut that, paired with a very fucking expensive and precisely tailored designer suit he was wearing, exuded power and money to every other human being that got the opportunity to shoot him a look, which every other girl did take. 

Before they could have the chance to swarm him like moths, he reaches you with that smirk of his, which you felt wasn’t exactly real. This thought shouldn’t cause you the pain it still does. “Hey, darling.” Slight Scandinavian accent. Of course, Lars is a very Scandinavian name. His voice was slightly deeper than you remembered. Needless to say, it’s been a while since you heard his voice given that you’ve grown distant, choosing silence over animosity as the circumstances surrounding you gave you exactly what you thought you needed: space. You couldn’t tell if he deepened his voice on purpose for this role or if his cigarette habit came with a vengeance since you broke up with him. “Haven’t seen you here before.”

“Hey,” you did your best to keep up with him. You were no Viola Davis, but you did your best. “How’s your night going, Mr…”

“Sjöberg. Lars Sjöberg.” He takes your hand in his and places a gentle kiss in it. You can feel time freeze and sparks fly around your characters. “To be honest with you, I think I could use better company to spend it with. You seem just perfect. What's your name?”

“I’m Mel.”

“Short for Melanie?”

It’s true what they say about breakups: you tend to only remember the nicer things in your relationship whenever the yearning hits. now for your question i guess my biggest tip would really just be to treat tears of themis like a visual novel that just so happens to update with more stories.

idk how much of a newbie you are to this genre, but when i got into this game i had NEVER played any other otome before in my life. so it was all new to me!! and i basically treated it like an updating visual novel, this is My Method, and that got me quite invested (as is obvious from my entire blog). so when i say "treat it like a visual novel" i mean:

im personally not particularly a card completionist or a gacha enthusiast. which, hell yeah, this game wont bankrupt me LOL. but also, since cards are the main way where new nxx boy stories are released through, for any card i dont have, i just watch it on youtube. because basically every card, event plot, minigame, etc gets uploaded by someone a little bit after its release. so if youre bummed you missed an event card but you dont really Want the card, you just want its story, just search it on youtube!! search [card name/event name] + [whichever language dub you prefer] + tears of themis and voila! new story for you to read!!!

if you want plot = read Main Story. this is where all the heavy main plot happens and it is SO GRIPPING AND RIVETING.

if you want character development and relationship development between mc and each boy = read Personal Story Bloom Chapter, and then the respective nxx boy's Anniversary 1 card, Personal Story Sweet Chapter 1 and 2, and then the respective nxx boy's Anniversary 2 card. the personal story routes (aka the routes where mc eventually ends up with the boy romantically) are where a BULK of characterization and character development happens, imo

if you want romance and oneshot dates = explore the available cards!!! the tot wiki has an archive of all the available cards per boy on each of the characters' main pages. for example, here's luke's page. scroll down to the cards section and Behold. Luke Stories As Far As The Eye Can See

these pages dont have the story transcribed in them, but theyre great to use as a directory or a map of cards. so if any of the cards catch your eye, then take urself to youtube to find the card and voila (again)! new story for u to experience!

(note: SSRs always have a full 6 act story. SRs either have a 6 act story that is unvoiced, OR 2 voice messages. MRs always have 2 voice messages. R cards have no story and no voice messages)

if you want nxx team dynamics = read and/or play the events!!!! this is my favorite thing, the tot events are a treasure trove of fun cases and awesome team dynamics. in the game itself, some of the big events are available as DLC for anybody to play themselves at any time. to get there, X-NOTE Story -> lower and rightmost button Event -> upper and rightmost button Past.

if theres anything i would reccommend the MOST, itd be to download and pllay the event Mysteries of the Lost Gold. it's so good. it's my favorite event story. trust me on this

I feel like gorilla boy is slept on as a character. My main exposure to the fandom is here and on Reddit, and man suffers a lack of dickriders simps in either place. Anyway, stuff like this endears him to me. You can always count on Barou to be reliably unreliable as a character. He's consistently a pain in the ass, something I really admire about how characters are written in this series.

But he's not my favourite thing about Chapter 216. That crown goes to...

Yet again, we have a character trauma dumping on Barou to try get him to acquiesce, lol. But the way it's handled is more comedic than serious, with a great panel of Snuffy dragging Don by the ankles by the collar to go get his teeth fitted. (picked that up wrong 🤷‍♀️)

We finally get to see what Don's like (beyond the lil kitty remark), and... dude's high-key an adorable space cadet? He looks like a scummy zombie, but like... he's endearing. And I guess his story about Snuffy did enough to get Barou to come around, because we've now got the full Ubers backstory, not to mention a reveal of how that goal happened.

An ode to Snuffy: guy genuinely seems like an amazing mentor to these players. He's blowing Noa, Prince and Lavinho out of the water as coaches. My tierlist now stands at Snuffy -> Prince -> Noa -> Lavinho in terms of how useful they're proving to their proteges.

That goal was really cool, with the teamwork of Ubers making it possible. We see how Isagi pieces together what's happening (man's COOKING) but not quick enough to prevent Barou scoring. I love how they're leaning into the hunter/prey thing with Barou. He's such a hype player, and I think this match is going to cement him as one of the highest threats among the BL players. His talent's never been in doubt, more so his ability to play with others. In the U-20 arc, he was pivotal, but only as a joker/wild card substitution. Here in NEL, he's got a whole team backing him to score. Having seen the resolution of how that goal took place, I can see how Ubers whupped Barcha. Lavinho definitely doesn't foster teamwork in a way necessary to combat Snuffy's side.

The question is - will BM be able to take them on, with their egoist, teammate-devouring-teammates playstyle?

Logically, I'd say no. But I think there's a reckoning coming for Kaiser, through Ness. They've shown how bestboi Hiori is analysing the plays , and we all know he plays zombie FPS games... Man's about to get subbed in for a deranged Ness, and he's gonna headshot Lorenzo. If Isagi loses Ness to gain another ally in Hiori, I think we're about to see a whole suite of chemical reactions unlocked, including an upgrade to Planet Hotline. Here's hoping!

Starscream is genuinely such a tragic character because as much as he's just kinda crazy every iteration has something that just makes u feel so bad for him.

IDW Starscream is something I couldn't scrape the surface of if you gave me 107 days. G1 Starscream's is not only mainly just used for comic relief the poor guy, but he lost his partner who then turns around and in his eyes betrays him. I mean Skyfire had every right to go "what in the fuc" and dip but the fact he went with Starscream in the first place tells me that somewhere along the way something happened to make him go coocoo.

In prime he was seemingly manipulated into joining the Decepticons and then constantly talked down to. From my perspective it honestly just seemed like Starscream was after praise or recognition which he never gets, now if this is because Megatron's a dick or because of the dark energon idk. I mean he kept the Decepticons afloat the entire time Megatron was gone chasing what was by all accounts a myth and did more then we saw Megs do THE ENTIRE SERIES. He managed to kill an Autobot, we never actually see any casualties and they've got a steady flow of energon.

I mean even in RID his main goal was to just kill Megs and tbh if I'd been beat down over everything I did, even if it was wrong bc I personally thought it was the right way to go about it, I'd be majorly pissed too. Yeah he wants control of the Decepticons but(and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong it's been a very long time since I've watched prime) I only remember him actually attempting to kill Megatron once or twice. Sure he was self serving but just bc he wants respect.

Bayverse Starscream was just the saddest thing I've ever seen. He could breathe and Megatron was drop kicking him off a building, didn't even get to be the treacherous sic jeez💀

Dude the WFC Trilogy was so wild idek how to word it so kind of a take on his character as a whole here. It was weird and characterizations were way off but I actually liked Starscream. He was still the guy we know and love but with a neat twist. He still had that tragic feeling to him especially getting traumatized and all but Dinobot telling him everything he went through wasn't an excuse to hurt other people was just *chefs kiss* bc it's really not. As tragic as Stars character is it's not an excuse for him to hurt the people around him. I mean no matter how bad I can feel for Prime Screamer he still used and manipulated everyone around him(Knockout for one). This is in no way me trying to justify or make him a good guy, a character can be tragic while still being a bad person. Somebody get him in therapy lol.

Oh man and don't get me started on the Unicron Trilogy Starscream. Probably the most tragic of them all, poor guy did not deserve any of Megatrons abuse. Allow me to let him speak for himself "I tried to gain favor from you, but nothing was ever good enough. No matter how many battles I fought, you always found fault." He really just wanted recognition, he literally sacrificed himself just so Megatron could get it through his thick head he needed to team up with the Autobots, and I recently had someone point out to me Starscream probably could have done some damage to Unicron with Swindle but he knew he was gonna die and he didn't wanna drag his mini-con down with him. Just ow.

Animated Screamer was just wild idek what he was on I can't defend him lmao bro opens the show trying and almost succeeded in killing Megan. I'd comment on Cyberverse if I could but I haven't actually got to watching that yet whoops. I feel like I remember seeing a clip of him talking about wanting the respect he deserved which honestly could have been his ego talking or really sad idk, but back to what I was originally saying.

Almost every time he shows up and you pay him any attention besides comic relief he's a super tragic character and it's not only what makes him one of my favorite but it makes me sad when I see people completely disregard everything but whats on the barest of surface levels. I feel like that's all Micheal Bay did he remembered Star being comic relief and so thats all he was. He's like an onion for lack of a better analogy, got a million layers, might make u cry, and you either love him or hate him. He could be such a compelling interesting character like with IDW but no one wants to look below the surface AND I GET IT 9/10 were literal children's shows so they're forgiven but Micheal Bay is on my hit list for that one.

Favorite Thai QL: Bad Buddy was my first and probably till date my fav. What a way to start. Very few BLs overall have lived up to the unreal standard that this show set, and no matter what all has happened IRL since the airing of the show, this show has a place in my heart that nothing is going to ever replace. It's the show that revived my love and passion for TV shows after years. This show (ep 5 4/4 👀) changed my brain chemistry, without exaggeration. P'Aof i'm chewing on your furniture until you pay for my therapy. [Other favs are MLC, ATOTS, UWMA, Between Us, MSP]

Favorite Pairing: I guess i'll talk about actor pairings but onscreen, not how they are offscreen. EarthMix is absolutely one of my favs, they bring a maturity, natural-ness, and intensity to their acting that I've rarely found in other GMMTV pairings. I'm also gonna mention FourthGem because they're the GMM young blood and I think they've got an incredible amount of potential. We've already seen their range in MLC and MSP, and I think they're going to be huge. I have a huge soft spot for BounPrem (but I may be biased lol), and this may be a lukewarm take but I really enjoyed BillySeng, I thought they had some incredible onscreen chemistry.

Most underrated actor: Oh jeez where do I start. Gotta mention Fourth - he's not really underrated but he's just starting out, but I can already see he's got the chops and with the right training and right directors he's absolutely Going Placed. Shout out to Fluke Natouch, that boy does emotional scenes like no one else. Special shoutout to Tonnam - he's supposed to be starring in his first BL as a main character this year, idk if that's still on schedule or not, but every character he's ever played so far has been a hit in my book. His comedic timing is unparalleled for me, it never fails to hit.

Favorite Character: How do I choose!! Pat Napat is so dear to me??? As is Ae from LBC???? Tutor from Why R U???? Team from Between Us?? I've got so many different little blorbos it's impossible to choose. They're all pocket sized to me. Making me choose is a crime.

Favorite Side Character: Idk why but the first one that comes to mind is View from Between Us. He's absolutely Little Bro, but he's also so sweet and genuine and full of love??? He's annoying bc all little brothers are genetically coded to be annoying but he's impossible not to love. His smile is healing. You can't take him away from me.

Favorite scene in a QL: Bad Buddy Ep 5 4/4. This was the scene that actually broke me. The lead up to the scene, the subtle but deliberate choices that both the characters made. Pat gritting himself to go talk to Pran bc if there's one thing he doesn't do it's avoid people and situations. Pran resigning himself to the conversation bc he can't avoid it any longer. Pat finally saying exactly how he's been feeling less than a business day after he had the realisation himself, bc the moment he feels something and decides it he has to act on it. The music swelling in the background. Pran realising that he's been projecting his fears onto Pat this entire time, that Pat has always feel differently about him too. Pran asking the question to break it all, wording in one way where he was expecting one kind of answer, not expecting that it would be interpreted in an entirely different way and would rock the foundation of their already teetering relationship. Pran asking if they want to be friends, because the alternative would be to be enemies. Pat hearing 'do you want to be only friends', and realising that that would never be enough for the both of them. Pat seeing that Pran is scared, and realising that he has to have courage enough for the both of them. Pat taking the deepest and shakiest breath of his life, swallowing down his fear and trepidation, voice trembling saying 'no'. This is the scariest thing that Pat has ever had to do, but how he'd rather do this than lose Pran again. Them both taking a step towards each other, because this is a decision not of one but of equals, mutual as they have always been. Pat treating this like his first kiss, like a relief of finally knowing the answer to a question that has long plagued him, like the start of something, going into it with utter joy and coming out of it with complete bliss, because the world finally makes sense. Pran treating this like his last kiss, like the end of everything they had ever been or ever could be, like he was going to milk this for everything it was worth because he was never going to get a chance to do this ever again, going into it with fear and desperation, and coming out of it with heartache and resignation, because they had lost everything they had and couldn't get it back. Pat crying tears of joy because he finally found what he was looking for, and Pran crying tears of pain because he got to experience for the first and last time what he would never be allowed to have but had longed for all of his life. Yeah I'm so normal about this show.

Favorite line in a QL: I mean. I literally said it all above, but yeah. 'If we're not enemies, could we be friends?' 'Do you want to be friends?' 'No.'

Most Anticipated QL (& why): I don't honestly know?? But I do wanna see the Thai remake of Cherry Magic, I'm interested in seeing how they're gonna treat it differently from the source show, esp since Thai shows have a tendency to bit more high heat and the original show was all about the tenderness of falling for someone because of their goodness.

Healthiest relationship in a QL: oooh i gotta go for TinnGun from MSP, they're just so lovable. Yes it's a highschool relationship but it was presented so sweetly without coming across as childish, and my boy Tinn is the ultimate green flag. Also even tho I'm not personally a SaifahZon fan (they're not my cup of tea) I think they're incredibly healthy.

Most toxic relationship in a QL: TharnType (i'm mostly looking at you Tharn), most of the KP pairings (the T in Theerapanyakuls stands for needs Therapy), early RainPhayu (i'm sorry but pigtail-pulling on the playground to show you like someone is very kindergarten behavior Phayu), LianKuea (go ahead girlbosses who gaslight and gatekeep).

Guilty pleasure series: I honestly don't know if anything I like counts as a guilty pleasure. Maybe SCOY?? Because I know there's a lot of people who don't like it and find it cringe but I think they're all kind of missing the point. I could write a mini-essay about this show too but i'll save that for another day.

Most underrated series: Ingredients (Baby Jeff!!), My Only 12% (It absolutely deserved more love and hype).

Anyway idk if uve decided to pull for luocha yet or not but i wanna give my two cents (1/2)

LUOCHA:

pros : he's SP positive and basically won't need to skill ever unless its an emergency, he can dispell buffs from enemies, and he has a cleanse so he can get rid of pesky debuffs from allies. Also, you only need to focus on ATK% on Luocha and speed if you want him to generate as much skill points as possible, tank stats like HP and DEF are great too, and you won't need much Effect Res on him because he has a trace that can increase his chances of resisting Crowd Control debuffs, his heals are massive and incredibly comfortable to run any team with him

cons : Gallagher exists now, and he's kind of a budget Luocha option who also provides some utility in his debuff from ult and enhanced basic atk (break dmg increase and atk% reduction for enemies specifically), Luocha doesn't provide any dmg increasing buffs for the team unless you have his E1 or his S1 LC that can give 12 spd for one turn but imo its not that great. Luocha's heals are plenty but as with all healers (barring Luochas E2 that can shield), they don't really help to prevent HP loss or stuff like a boss one shotting ur team, they restore HP and help so u can survive for longer rather than block the dmg from coming

Overall : he's a powerful solo sustain , and I'd recommend him especially with an SP negative dps like Dan Heng IL, Seele, Qingque etc etc. and also HP draining DPS like Jingliu and Blade. Overall a very comfy healer, but I don't recommend going for him if you want to use Gallagher because they provide nearly the same value just Gallagher has less healing as in HP wise but he basically does a similar thing of once u ult with him when allies attack they can get their hp restored too

OOOH TY TY good points for both... for me a major reason I want him is he can heal w/o it being his turn and w/o an ultimate, but I think if I just get gud I can reduce the amount that I actually need to do that. Also besides Lynx who is wayyy underbuilt Natasha is my only healer. Fu xuan is a good sustain but I actually like Nat more in that department lol. Iirc he can also cleanse debuffs like Nat? which is INSANELY helpful

U make a good point with Gallagher... In general I jist need more healers of different elements. I think I may pull for him on one acct abd save for Boothill on the other? But its hard to decide which one .... On one hand my America acct has wayy more characters and benefits more from a good healer rn, but having Luocha on my Asia acct would help SOOO much w/ some of the bosses I struggled with (COUGH. PHANTYLIA. COUGH.). Well I have a lot of time to decide since his banner only just started ^.^ ill save for now and decide l8r

follow cool hockeyblr ppl! u can find ppl in your team spheres through the tags i mentioned above. there was also a hockeyblr directory made a while back (og masterlist is down but shoot me a message and i can get you some specific team lists. don't be afraid to ask ppl for recs too)

reblog, like, etc. esp with content creators/gifsets/etc. engagement does the heart good

wtf is liveblogging:

lots of users liveblog and post commentary during games!

you can find these posts in the lb tags, which vary by team and are sort of collectively known (e.g. #pens lb for pittsburgh)

some tags are a little less intuitive: #nyr lb or #rangers lb are both used for the rangers iirc, #bolts lb or #tbl lb have both been used for tampa - feel free to shoot me an ask/msg if you have trouble lol

big events, such as the playoffs, worlds, the all star game, etc may have their own special tags (e.g. #scp lb, #worlds lb, #asg lb, #team germany lb, etc). you'll figure it out as you go! and don't be afraid to ask for clarification

tagging your liveblogs are pretty important since:

it's fun to liveblog with a bunch of people on your silly little gang of guys! helps u find friends to follow, and

people who follow the opposing team might want to filter out your commentary (more info below)

ouch, yikes. i don't want to see that (aka, filtering/blocking)

coming back to filtering, the nice thing abt tumblr is that u can filter out whatever tags/blogs/keywords you don't want to see on your dash

go to your blog settings to live peacefully and with prosperity

you can filter out team tags/liveblogs/players, anything you want. in fact, u are encouraged bc not feeling extreme rage over some picture on the dash of the team that knocked your team out of the scp does the body good

filtered posts don't disappear entirely from the dash (in case u have fomo), but when a blog u follow posts about something in that tag, you will see a blurred post with the tags you filtered, as well as an option to view the post

some users also have specific tags that they may have created for organizational purposes and to help you block specific content (e.g. #nhl trade rumors are my personal tag for, you guessed it, trade rumors. some ppl don't wanna hear that, so easy tagging for filter)

on that note: filter and move on. don't go into opposing team tags/liveblogs and talk shit or stir up shit. you will be blocked by. a significant amount of people. play nice y'all, it's hockey

not really my area of expertise on tumblr, but there's a pretty big rpf/fic community on hockeyblr. follow or block as you need!

player relationship tags are a good place to look for content (e.g. #sidgeno, #8771)

use the :readmore: function on tumblr liberally if you're posting fics - full player fics in the player tags can suck to scroll through for an outside user

Footballers as Pokémon trainers - pt1, Messi

I decided to mash my two biggest hyperfixations together so yeah let’s just get straight into it

just gonna tag my pokemon mutuals @liverpool-enjoyer and @addictivewhispering !!!! sorry for the tag haha, I just wanted u to see this and validate me :D

Lionel Messi

Messi is probably the only player who will be getting a full team of six, since he’s the greatest player ever I thought it would be fitting for him to have a full team. I based it off stuff about him. Just know that every footballer has a Cinderace as well to train with. I think Messi wouldn't be huge on Pokemon battling tbh, he definitely wouldn't be like a trainer who plays with strategy, moreso he just trusts his team to do their best despite whatever happens.

1. Espurr

Max already explained this but I’d like to expand on it…Espurr is a lot of psychic power in a small body just like Messi is a lot of talent in a tiny body lol. I think Espurr would 100% be his starter Pokémon. I also doubt Messi would evolve it because he likes it this way. But Messi is definitely a good trainer, like really good he probably uses an Everstone.

2. Gogoat

Get it? Because he’s the goat. Also Skiddo (gogoat’s previous form) reminds me a lot of young Messi, just like a strapping brash excitable individual I guess.

3. Arcanine

Arcanine reminds me of Hulk, Messi’s dog. It’s also a fire type, which I think would be native to South America because it’s a sunny, hot weather continent. Arcanine’s “hair” also reminds me of Messi’s bleach hair era so 🤷🏽‍♂️

4. Marshadow

Probably the only mythical/legendary I’m gonna give any player. I imagine Marshadow isn’t really “his”, but just it follows Messi around and randomly shows up at interviews and games and stuff like that. It travels in his shadow all the time and shows itself from time to time.

5. A Shiny Phantump

I feel like Messi would be a ghost type trainer, if he specialized? Theyre silent and calm like he is. Phantump feels like it would be like Marshadow, just a quiet companion for Messi who follows him around and stuff. And if you're wondering why it's shiny...well white for la scaloneta, blue for barca and red for barca as well. also I just think messi would find those colors more welcoming I guess?

6. Alolan Sandslash

This is probably Messi's main battler. It's blue and white like la Scaloneta and it can roll into a ball so it looks like a football. It's the least personality-connected which is why I think it'd be the one messi uses the most to battle. Its sharp edges also make me think of how Messi can be a killing machine on the pitch.
