I have a half-baked, somewhat stoner-esque (but rational) thought about the UFOs currently being discussed in congress, and shifters

That the existence of these UFOs (specifically, the ones that seem to be defying the laws of physics) might lend support to shifting, specifically shifters that claim to change mass or shift through "magical" means.

I personally believe that the UFOs are acting within the laws of physics, but if they're not, that implies that there's either other physical laws that we don't know about, or that in some cases they can be broken or defied. If that is true, then there is a chance that some organism or entity somewhere would have taken advantage of this. (Animals do this all the time to an extent - birds fly because other animals can't take advantage of physics and aerodynamics like they can, electric eels's bodies take advantage of the interactions of water and electrons to zap fish, etc.)

I don't think this applies as much to physical shifters, but it might apply to spiritual shifters. By "spiritual shifters" I'm talking about shifters that physically shift spiritually, or through metaphysical means. Like, faoladh, benadanti, some berserkers, etc, the ones who suddenly become physical animals in a projected or pseudophysical way. In the book Monsters Among Us, Linda Godfrey went over an account of a woman who randomly turned into a monster in church (The Church Lady Monster), and according to observers she just was suddenly a physical monster in front of them. She did look pale and sickly before she turned, as if she might have been holding it back but when she turned, she was just suddenly a huge monster, no transformation sequence or anything. (You can compare that with the shifter talked about earlier in the book, who DID go through a physical change and became a wolf right before his victim's eyes.) There's no physical way to explain what this woman went through, unless maybe the laws of physics aren't as set as stone as we'd like to think?

Obviously the UFOs aren't direct proof of shifters, but I think if they are breaking the laws of physics or bending them in some way, it would stand to reason that other organisms or entities (for some reason or another) have taken advantage of this. I don't know how it would take place, but it would seem to take place, in some instances.

OOOOOOOHHHH I love this; I have a few fics that could be qualified as "CLOSE" to mutations and superpowers, but not 100%. I have a lot more "changelings" than anything else. I've compiled together some of the ones on my MFL list as well, but I can't guarantee that they're mutants in them since I haven't read them.

If anyone has any fics that they can suggest, please do! I'm kind of into MCU fics right now so if I can have Sherlock-style in there too, that would be awesome! PLEASE let us know if you have mutant or Superhero Johnlock fics!!!

something about the way skinner, doggett & reyes rally around scully while mulder is abducted.

like. skinner knows what they are to each other. he's watched them from the beginning. skinner saw how mulder was when scully was abducted. he tried to hold him together the only way he could (opening the x files again)

i think telling scully he "lost" mulder was the hardest thing he ever did. skinner loves mulder too, but mulder is scully's entire world. and this time around, he won't let scully be alone the way mulder was.

doggett was assigned (purportedly) to find mulder. he follows the typical avenues of investigation, all the while scully is telling him that wont turn up anything. he sees shapeshifting aliens and doesn't believe, but he knows scully didn't do those things. at the end of without, when scully is injured & falling apart, he holds her. it was very different than what mulder & scully experiences in the pilot, but it's a level of vulnerability he didn't expect & she didn't really mean to show. and because of it, he follows her. he wants to find mulder, and he'll do everything he can for scully in the meantime. he wants her to trust him. he won't let her run headfirst into danger without backup. he's a step behind her every time. doggett defends scully, like she defends mulder. doggett doesn't believe, but he follows her theories & instincts. he sees so much. and...he can empathize with her.

reyes shows up when they're finally on mulder's trail. abductees are being returned. reyes believes but her specialty is satanic cults. and she reasons it could be a ufo cult, but that doesn't mean these people weren't really abducted. reyes doesn't know what to believe at that point, but she's open, and she follows scully. without question. she reminds scully of mulder & melissa and scully keeps her at a distance. hesitant to let anyone else close.

what kills me is that scully...starts to trust like mulder does. she tries not to, but she can't help it. these people are following her, and looking out for her, and loving mulder by extension. scully tries so hard to theorize like mulder. she's got the knowledge, she knows how his mind works. she's actually not that bad at it. but it isn't natural for her to follow those instincts. she needs mulder for that, and it's the only way she can keep him alive, feel close to him, hold onto hope that he'll come back.

mulder left a big gaping hole. in the x files, in her life, in her bed, in her heart, in her mind. everyone is trying to hold her together but the only person who can is abducted and returns dead.

I truly enjoy these characters as they have a healing nature to them that nobody can resist. Their sensitivity is why they attract so many, but this is why they should be careful because they also can attract flies. Its so easy to fall in love with them so they must cleanse very often to keep other peoples energy off of them or they will experience loads of burnout.

Cant take them out of their element or they'll lose their essence trying to fit it. News flash they dont have to, they are simply shapeshifters and can shift into the vibrations of the room if need be. These wild havens are destined for glory as the spotlight will run on them at an early age. They need to be seen in all of their glory because their essence is a shining example of God living and breathing inside of them.

Sun/Neptune people bring the angelic realm to us without having to try to hard. They can bring this to us through any form of their choosing, and can be a messenger without the use of words through the power of art.

They come and go through many portals in this lifetime, and bring back answers of what they find. Masters of frequency shifting, they learn to find which energies they want to be in and learn to camoflouge when need be. Fantasies in their head can become reality if they express who they are more diligently.

Angels of the stars, they are truly the prince and princesses we see in fairytales. Living the life all day everyday.
