I just realized Abigail's whole "I'm planning the wedding so we don't get some weird necro ceremony" mission was at least a little bit bluster to make them accept her paying for it. There's no way Raelle and or Scylla could have even afforded half of it. I mean, I love the Collar house, but it's not "the President officiates my wedding" nice. Making them take a long weekend was a) nice and b) an easy way to avoid all the cost of everything conversations-- she can just present the wedding as a fait accompli, no whining allowed cause it's not like they can uncater the thing or uncut the flowers.
It was such an early!Abigail thing to rag on Necro & make it sound like she's got better taste, only now it's not to be high and mighty, it's so she can give half her unit as special a day as she can dream up without them having to worry about paying for it.
Did u guys know that in animation tests of Barb's original model her head was too big for the rig to function properly so it had to be scaled down 10%?
What if when Midoriya shows up, it's like their fighting scenes in the second BNHA movie? How one of them was still fighting and not giving up and the other swooped in to support?
I know some people are like "oh, Bakugou is going to be a damsel, they want him to be a damsel so bad", but I kinda don't see it that way.
Using "damsel" just makes it seems Midoriya will come in and then Bakugou will be out the fight for the rest of arc and Midoriya goes berserk in the meantime.
To me, that one shot of Bakugou's face, the one where he has the little sparks and there's that look of determination? It gives me the vibes that this will lead into Bakugou getting up again and fighting and when Midoriya does come it's for them to fight together. Just how they did in the second movie against Nine (who is literally just a prototype AFO!Shigaraki when you look at him, suit and long hair).
In that movie, when one was in trouble, the other came in to give them support and together they relied on each other 50/50 to fight and defeat their opponent. That's the vibe I'm getting and honestly hope for. I want to see them go berserk together. Win that fight together. Go nuts like they did with Nine.
What I really can't stand today is that people are arguing about whether we should allow queer people to exist or whether some random fiction is immoral while THERE ARE HOMELESS PEOLLE SUFFERING RIGHT NOW. Why do you care about what strangers are doing on the internet? Go the fuck outside and help your community. Give a guy a few bucks so he can EAT. Stop wasting your time on meaningless discourse about fiction and who is less or more human or worthy than someone else and fucking deal with real problems. Either that or shut the hell up because its annoying as shit and I do not see you making any positive, tangible change. You're encouraging censorship policies and genocide by legislation. Yay for you. Now get your head out of your ass and do something not cowardly.
Do something that isn't just a bunch of hypotheticals, what ifs, and strange claims with unreputable or straight up nonexistent sources. Hypothetically, violent video games could inspire a particularly dull kid with particularly poor impulse control to beat up some other kid. However, in reality, what's happening with those kids is they can't afford school lunches. What's happening with one of them is they're getting beat and can't get help because of our shit social services and the other one has to raise 5 siblings because the parents are constantly trying to keep them fed and housed. In theory, a person could go through the hell that is being openly trans to transition to a woman in order to idk look at women in women's bathrooms. But in reality, many people can't even afford to spend money on medical care they need, let alone cosmetic changes they don't. And in reality, people who are really trans are generally a lot less interested in your piss breaks than you think and are probably more afraid of your hate than you are of some perceived wrongness with their existence.
Let's shut the hell up for a second about theories and possibilities and ideas. Let's talk about real, material needs and change. Let's talk about the problems that are actually resulting in widespread suffering and death. Fiction is great. But real life is important too, especially when change is needed. If you want to claim yourself a messiah of morality and ethics; focus on helping other people in real life.
The National Unity leader says he told the prime minister yesterday that he would be willing to join the government “with the intention of establishing a war cabinet that will direct the battlefront against Gaza and other fronts,” Gantz says in an address broadcast tonight.[...]
Gantz, who also served as IDF chief of staff, appears to be hesitating over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s offer yesterday for him to join the government, along with the Yesh Atid party, and is insistent that he and senior party members play a major role in shaping Israel’s response to the attack before committing to join a Netanyahu-led cabinet again.
