Keen to share this new Spyro fangame in development by Bunbaroness!
She refers to the game as "Spaghetti Spyro." Bunn, known for the incredible Spyro Reignited Trilogy Omniswapper, has dedicated several years to developing this fangame in Unreal Engine 4.
The main goal is to create a foundation for fans to develop their own fangames, as the project will be open source once released. Right now, Bunn is focusing on the engine's detailed features, such as swimming, power-ups, and various breath abilities from all the Spyro games, including Legend of Spyro. This ensures that fans will have the tools they need to create their own games from this foundation.
Check out Bunn's channel here for frequent updates of the game:

As for why I haven't been here for a long time. The thing is, I'm developing my own game! It will be a rhythmic 3D platformer. I would even say, an action adventure. The process of active development has begun now and in the near future I will create a discord channel and something similar to a patreon. For now, you can look at some of the finished concept arts for the first act, which will be in the demo!
If you are interested, you can subscribe to me to stay updated.
This is a story about a girl named Jam, traveling through the world of her dreams with her best friend Copykit. She cannot speak, but communicates with everyone by ringing bells on her ears. At some point, nightmares began to creep into the world of dreams. Jam needs to figure out what's going on and find where the nightmares are coming from. I hope that I can put songs in this game, because I love musicals, but that is still up in the air.

Day 18
I discovered I made a mistake in Day 15 (Part 2). I mentioned that you drag and drop a flipbook onto the texture sample.
This is wrong, you have to drag and drop the spritesheet itself. Apologies!
Anyways, I am working on my win screen. Not sure how it's going but I hope it's going well.
Tumblr media
After playtesting, it all seems to be working as intended, so that's got me quite excited
I am now finalising it, and making sure everything is fun to play. I might add one more level so you have 3 proper levels with 1 tutorial level.
Edited the start of Level 2 so that you have more of a tutorial against enemies rather than there being an optional one near an optional coin.
Tumblr media
And then I added all of the world objects in.
Tumblr media
And after some tweaking, the level works.
Now I need to add some enemies to the Level 3.
Tumblr media
Here's one.
Today wasn't as productive as yesterday, I apologise.

Putting the full thing here but I finished my first class project today and turned it in!!!! Its a really basic platforming level that was more to just show my understanding of the program and we only had like 2 class days to work on it (5 hours total) but I really like what I was able to get done and finish and wanted to show off a bit!
Probably best that you dont have audio on cause its a lot of loud clicking

Origament: A Paper Adventure - Preview on Steam
Tumblr media
Origament: A Paper Adventure, a story-rich exploration and puzzle platformer game, is gliding onto Linux, Mac, and Windows PC with a playtest soon. Thanks to the creative minds at Space Sauce Studio, the magic comes to life with every fold. Gearing up for its preview on Steam.
Origament: A Paper Adventure isn’t just another indie puzzle platformer — it’s a living, breathing story told through folds of paper, ink, and imagination. And starting June 10th, you can be part of the experience. That’s right: playtesting kicks off on Steam, and yeah, it’s Linux-friendly, via Proton.
So what’s Origament all about?
You’re not the hero carrying the message. You are the message.
You're a tiny, precious letter that somehow got lost on the way to its destination — and now, the only way forward is through a world that's as strange as it is beautiful. In Origament: A Paper Adventure you’ll soar through floating cities folded from parchment, drift down rivers under starlit skies, and cut through forests made of jagged cardstock and memory.
One second you’re a gliding paper plane zipping over rooftops, the next you’re a paper boat bobbing through moonlit currents. Then — bam! — you're a deadly origami shuriken slicing through thick brush. Every form you take unlocks new ways to play, explore, and survive. And each fold? It changes the game.
Origament: A Paper Adventure is like stepping into a childhood daydream that grew up with you — but kept the wonder.
Here, everyday things are epic. Trees become towering paper titans. Streams turn into thundering rivers. Shadows hide secrets. And every corner feels like it’s holding its breath, waiting for you to discover what’s tucked inside. It’s nostalgic, it’s mysterious, and it might just make you stop and stare for a second before you move on.

But don’t expect a straight line. Every level opens up like — well, like origami — into branching paths, hidden nooks, clever puzzles, and strange characters that you’ll want to stop and chat with. There’s lore if you want it, puzzles if you need a challenge, and quiet beauty if you just want to chill out with some headphones and zone in.
This puzzle platformer isn’t about speedrunning. It’s about soaking it all in.
With a relaxing, meditative vibe, a dreamy soundtrack, and gameplay that rewards curiosity, Origament: A Paper Adventure is shaping up to be one of those rare titles that hits you right in the heart. Doing so without needing a single line of combat.
So if you’ve got a soft spot for games that slow things down, open up worlds of wonder, and leave you thinking about them long after the credits roll — get in on this.
Wishlist it now. Join the Origament: A Paper Adventure playtest on Steam starting June 10th. Due to be playable on Linux via Proton with Windows PC.
And if you want to geek out with other paper adventurers? Hit up the Discord.

Ball Roller is an exciting platformer where you were once an astronaut exploring space when suddenly you and your crew got sucked into a black hole, and now you as the only survivor need to find a way safely back home after you were turned into a glowing ball of energy. Navigate through an obstacle course collecting orbs of energy that will transform you back to a person on your voyage back to earth. Try to avoid all the black holes and collect as many orbs as you can to secure the highscore and safely make it home in one piece. This is a small fun game I made for my introduction to unreal, thank you and enjoy.

Screenshot of the first level in HEARTRENDER, "Ground Minus". Waking up deep underground, Eris has to make her way up to the surface and get her bearings in an (almost) abandoned mining town at sunrise.
It is an open, "learn-by-doing" environment where you learn the game and explore its sandbox however you wish, also becomes your home of relative safety between missions. It's good to give the player somewhere to train themselves without the active threat of gunfire, explosives, magical attacks and worse!

Day 17 (Part 2)
I didn't have a creative title for this. Anyways, I should make a background for my level.
I started off with this because at this point, I am giving into the bricks.
Tumblr media
It is just a 256x256 image of my brick tile which didn't take too long to do.
Then, I thought it might be a good idea to add a window to the brick, so I did so. It took a while to do this, with adding a semi opaque grey layer in order to give the effect that the sky was being seen through glass rather than there being just a hole.
Tumblr media
Then I added little streaks in the glass to make it more glasslike (as seen in other games like terraria, minecraft, etc). Additionally, I added a brightness layer and removes it around the glass to give the impression of light coming in from the outside.
Tumblr media
Realised this was too small, so made the amount of bricks larger so I could put it further away from the player.
Tumblr media
And now to add detail behind the glass. Probably a cloud or two, then a bit of shading in the light part to indicate the cloud.
They won't be much but I think they'll be a nice touch
Tumblr media
And here is how it looks ingame!
Tumblr media
Also! I have made my projectile destroy enemies once it makes contact with them. This is great because now I have a way of making them pose some form of danger.
I am now trying to work on taking damage once you take contact from the enemy, but it isn't working as intended.
Tumblr media
It killed me so hard I lost 100hp in about a second.
Oh, I also forgot to make it so you can respawn once dying.
It seems to work now, the only issue being that taking damage seems to be slightly delayed from when you make contact with the enemy. I need to somehow find a way to make it so that the character sprite changes to a damaged one (I already have the sprite sheet) for a couple seconds. But for now, this is alright.
Oh, I just remembered, I have entirely just forgot about the whole winning aspect. I need to make a 'You Win!' level similar to the Start and Death screens.
I made a Widget Blueprint and placed a Canvas Panel inside of it. For now, I will make the win screen something random, but I will work on it once everything else is done.
Tumblr media
This is where I leave it for today.
