Jason Todd x Reader
Warning: Mentions of suicide attempt
"You're not crazy, Y/n! If anyone thinks so, they're the crazy ones-"
You laugh. "Thanks, Jason. I like being friends with you too."
"Jesus, keep it down, would ya," you say groggily, rubbing your eye as you walk out of your room, utterly confused at the commotion unravelling in the lobby. "The fuck is going on?"
Tumblr media
"You people are insane! I'd rather be with Deathstroke than with you assholes..." Jason says, the last statement he claims more quietly. A harsh truth, revealing how little his supposed teammates thinks of him.
"Jason drew crosses all over my mirror after telling me to go get looked at by a fucking priest!" Rachel yells in anger.
You looked over at Jason in confusion.
"Yeah, I told her to get looked at, so what?" Jason yells back. "You almost fucking killed me! And I didn't draw those crosses, I haven't got a fucking clue what you're on about, how many time do I have to say it!"
You stare at the two, still delirious from your interrupted nap. Jason would say some fucked up stuff but drawing crosses? He wouldn't go that far. Barking and yapping is the most he'd do.
"And he put a beer bottle in my room," Hank says.
"And a picture of Elis," Dawn adds.
"And an orange soda bottle," Donna finishes.
The adults list the things Jason presumably planted in their rooms. But for what motif? Just to piss them off? Wait. Jason literally fell from a building like, what? Yesterday? Why the fuck would he pull this shit then..
"Wait, wait, wait. Pause, I can not stress this enough," you say. "I understand Rachel's situation, what the fuck about you guys?" You ask the other adults.
"Jason just put some shit that was deeply connected to our past in our room. If he pulls something like this again, I'll forget what team he's on," Hank replies.
You cross your arms. "Okay, did any of yous tell Jason about this deep shit about your past?"
Rachel and Gar's head turned to the adults as they all looked at each other with doubt.
"Oh my fucking days," You scoffed, aggressively rubbing your temples.
Before you can scold at them, you notice Jason is already gone.
Jeez, maybe I am a shit teammate.
You ram into his room first and instantly run out when you see he's not there. You check the surveillance room, the training room. Not there, either. Finally, you speed up to the roof. And there he was, standing at the edge.
Your heartbeat's pace picked up.
"Jason," you called out. He looked over his shoulder, then looked right ahead of him.
"C'mon, Jason, get down from there. We can work this out," you slowly say, taking small steps towards him.
You see him shake his head. "There's nothing to work out," he says. "I'm just gonna fuck things up again. There's a poison in me. That shit spreads. Hurts even the most healthy people."
You stip at a safe distance where Jason wouldn't make any irrational movements if you'd come any closer, and you lean against the ledge near him.
"Mm, well, what about people who's already unhealthy?"
Jason turns his head to look at you in confusion.
"Jason, all of us here has been through some tough shit. From my experience, this 'poison' you're talking about, it's nothing compared to what I had to face. I'm sorry that they accused you, Jason. I don't even know why they did- they don't even have a good reason to," you explain, making sure he knew that you were not against him, that he wasn't alone.
"I don't know if this makes any difference," you continue, "but I believe that you didn't do any of that."
"You don't?" Jason asks in disbelief, yet still a hint of hope in his voice.
"Of course I don't. You're my teamma... You're my friend, Jason," you reply back, thinking it's safe to step closer to him as you reach a hand out towards him. "Please come down," you pleaded.
Jason stares at your offering hand for a while, then glances the view in front of him before returning his gaze to your hand.
He sighs, taking your hand in his and steoping diwn from the ledge, leaving a gasp of relief from you before you pull him into a tight embrace.
A few seconds later, you push him away, realising you may have crossed some boundaries.
"Sorry.. I- I'm just glad you came down," you admitted as Jason just shrugged in reply.
You sighed as you sat down, your back leaning against the ledge, patting the ground beside you, inviting Jason to sit beside you.
"Jason, you are kind of an asshole. I mean, you did tell Rachel to go get looked at by a priest- I know she almost tried to kill you, but she still needs to get a hold of her powers. I'm not saying it's not a reason to be scared of her! If I was in your place, I'd be freaked out by her, too. Just give her some time. Plus, you did call both her and Rose freaks..." Jason slightly nods at his mistake. "But... you're one of the most extraordinary people I've ever met," you admit as it seemed like Jason's head could've snapped off his neck from how fast he turned.
"Don't let it get to your ego," you say before continuing, "I mean, you can spar blindfolded! You survived being kidnapped by Dr. Light and Deathstroke. Oh... and Jason," you call out to him before you shift yourself to face him properly. "I know you're always saying you're okay after your... fall. But it's not a sign of weakness to ask for help. You don't need to prove yourself to anybody. Not to me, at least," you finish, placing a hand kn his shoulder for assurance.
All Jason does is look at you, probably searching for any sort of trap or lies or whatnot. You believe you've said too much that things got awkward and he probably wants to be alone.
"Yeah.. I've been talking for too long," you agree to his probable thoughts as you try to get up.
But Jason stops you, grabbing a hold of your arm.
"No," he says, "I... Thank you," he confesses as you take your place back on the ground. "Yeah, I guess I am an asshole," he continues, looking at the concrete underneath him. "I don't know... It's just shit I say. Sometimes, I say it without thinking. I say a lot of shit without thinking," he admits his wrongdoings.
"And that's okay," you reply, placing your hand on top of his. "We make mistakes. But we talk it out, and we forgive."
"I didn't put all that shit there or draw the crosses, I swear-"
"Jason, you don't need to try convince me. I told you, I believe you," you reassure him.
"Didn't really believe that you believed me," he shrugged. "The others still probably think I'm insane."
"If they do, I'll just punch some sense into them," you tell him. "Besides, they can't think you're any crazier than me."
Jason's eyebrows scrunched together. "What do you mean?"
"Oh shit," you laughed. "You never knew about how I became a Titan, and how I even met the others,."
Jason shakes his head.
"Well, I was running away from my mom. Criminal, but not one of those well-known ones. Robbed a few jewels here and there, had some of her workers try and catch me. Then, when I lost them, the only place I could think of staying was an alleyway. Luckily, it was on the safe side of town. That's when Dick found me. Brought me back to the tower-"
"He really has a thing for bringing unconscious people back to the tower, huh?" Jason interrupts, and you couldn't help but laugh.
"That sounds horrible without context," you say, then continue, "but yeah. When I woke up, I was absolutely shitting myself. I was my bag, but when I got to the elevator, the passcode wouldn't unlock. That's when everyone came. Hank, Dawn, Donna, Dick, Gar, and Rachel. I was so freaked out. So I threw my homemade bombs at them-"
"I'm sorry, bombs??"
"Calm down. They were just glitter bombs," you say as Jason makes a face in both confusion and amusement.
"Bht my mom taught me a few tricks. Pinned Gar to the wall with a couple of knives. Dawn was stuck to the floor with some knives, too. I think Hank was blinded by some glitter. But yeah, eventually, they got me to calm down," you finish, laughing at the memory.
"Jesus... I still can't get over the glitter bombs. I thought you just made flash and concussion bombs," Jason says.
You shook your head. "Nah, I only learned how to make those later. The glitter bombs were just a hobby. So, I guess you yourself aren't as insane as you think you are. I mean, even when I used to go to school, kids would think that I'm crazy, but I probably am, like, glitter bombs as a hobby? I-"
"You're not crazy, Y/n! If anyone thinks so, they're the crazy ones-"
You laugh. "Thanks, Jason. I like being friends with you too."
Jason's reaction is hesitant, but he smiles and laughs with you.
"C'mon, let's go back down. You need a rest. A long rest. We can even listen to that loud metal music you listen to," you say as you get up, dusting yourself off.
suggestions for part 2?
Jason copies you, getting up and wiping any dirt off from his pants, and a genuine smile on his face as he follows you down back to his room.

Mommy or Ma'am? - Mike Ross x Reader / Older Brother Harvey
Tumblr media
Summary: After a hospital scare, Mike is put on babysitting duty, which quickly turns into a fun morning for you both
Warnings: SMUT, Switch! reader Switch! Mike
Harvey knew getting Jessica to hire you was a bad idea, he thought he could fully trust you though. You were twenty two it was your first real job, even it was just making copies for everybody in the office when needed.
I was going smoothly for awhile until Monday Morning rolled around, Y/n was on edge because not only did she have tests coming up but she also had sports, work, and helping her older brother Harvey keep his penthouse and office clean and neat. She felt like she was losing it, so whenever she was woken up at 6AM to go to the office she wanted to start crying, she hadn't even been to bed really, only falling asleep twenty minutes before Harvey even woke her up.
You were stuck in the copier room, taking stacks of papers from different associates, and partners and just coping them over and over again. It was working smoothly until you dozed off coping papers and mixed up the order of them, now realizing you messed up very important documents your breathing started to shallow. You heart rate was speeding up and you started to feel dizzy and hot, holding onto the table next to the copier tightly you heard somebody's rushed footsteps approach you all before your eye sight went black. "Woah woah woah" Mike said taking in your unusual state holding you up quickly as your body went limp "Louis! Rachel!" He yelled trying to shake you lightly "C'mon Y/n, wake up" He whispered nervously, not knowing what was going on with you, as he saw Louis walking up to the door he took a breath of relief "Stay here with her, I'm gonna call an ambulance and go get Harvey" Mike said urgently, gently laying you on the ground, using his suit jacket as a cushion under your head, waiting until Louis knelt next to you to try and wake you before rushing through the firm "Donna! call 911! now" He said checking Harvey's office only to see it empty "Mike! Calm down what's going on?" Donna asked worried standing up and resting a hand on his chest "I walked in to get copies from y/n and as soon as I walked in, she fell to the ground- where's Harvey?" He asked quickly before rushing to Jessica's office seeing Harvey sitting in front of her desk. "What do you need, Ross? We're having a very important-" Mike cut Jessica off quickly, and rudely. "Y/n passed out, I don't what happened" He whispered, Harvey looked at Jessica and then Mike "Damnit" he huffed standing up quickly rushing to the copier room right as paramedics were coming up from the elevator and rushing to the same room as him.
Whenever you woke up seeing your room empty made your heart hurt, not even Mike showed up to check on you? What even happened? Right before you could decide on what happened you hear the door latch and in rushes Mike and Harvey fighting on who gets in the room first. "Y/n" Harvey sighed sitting on the side on your bed "Don't ever do whatever you did again" He demanded, thinking he was talking about you messing up the copies and files you started to tear up "I-I'm sorry" You whimpered, terrified you might get fired for all of this "For what? I mean..Whenever you feel worked up..come find me..I understand more than you know, y/n/n" he whispered running a hand over your hair to smooth it out "I get panic attacks too...instead of...blacking out..I puke"He whispered, you studied his face, that explained all the mornings before his trials he'd get sick. "Same goes for you then..come find me" You whispered to him grabbing his hand squeezing it "So what happened?" You added on tilting your head "Exhaustion, y/n" Harvey said sternly "Which means, you're taking the next two days off, to rest, recharge" He said turning his head as Mike coughed awkwardly. "Okay kid, I'll let you speak, but I swear if you try anything with my sister I will kill you" Harvey stated seriously and confidently "Okay okay" Mike grumbled raising his hands up in the air before taking Harvey's seat, Harvey taking a step out into the hallway to call Jessica.
"Mr. Ross" You mumbled, you still felt a little sleepy from whatever they gave you but you were desperate to wake up "Ms. Specter" He quipped back running his hands down his pants legs. "You okay, Mike?" You asked softly sitting up to rest a hand on his shoulder "Y/n..I like you" He whispered "More than a friend, more than a co-worker, and I wanna like you as my girlfriend..but I don't want your brother to kill you" Mike added on resting a hand on yours "How long have you felt like this Mike?" You whispered using your other hand to cup his cheek "Weeks.....You're just..so kind and sassy, and the way you give Harvey shit is just...the proud look you have on your face after you make him speechless is adorable" He rambled "I would have you make copies of random words I had typed up just to see you..that's what I was on my way to do whenever I came into the copier room and found you leaning on the table about to fall.." Mike rambled even farther before you giggled and kissed him deeply
"Can you not shut the hell up Mike?" You mumbled against his lips as he resting a hand on yours, jumping away whenever he heard the door open "Excuse me!" Harvey yelled looking at you both "Care to explain yourselves, children?" He asked crossing his arms like a mother.
You were surprised to see Harvey agree to let Mike stay over, he claimed it was just to 'help you sleep, like you claimed' but you felt like he preferred you not to be home. As you walked into your room you smiled as Mike who was already ready for bed, striped to nothing but his boxers, truth was you and Mike had slept together, a couple of times, you both had agreed it was strictly friends with benefits until just yesterday at the hospital. "Ready for me to help you sleep?" Mike quoted playfully "Yes sir" You giggled climbing onto the bed, straddling Mike's lap as you looked down at him "Ah ah, Princess needs to rest, let me do all the work, baby" he whispered before using his hips and body force to flip you two over to where he was hovering over you.
"Look. At. Me" Mike demanded, you were on your third orgasm now, Harvey was long gone at work now and Mike was spending the day inside of with you, specifically taking turns making each other cum, but now Mike had taken it into his own hands to make you forget your own name, and you were 10000% okay with that. You felt Mike's hand grab your chin forcefully having you look up "I said look at me." He growled as he kept grinding his hips, his dick still buried six and a half inches deep inside of you, you moaned loudly leaning your head further back into the pillows, biting your lip as you made eye contact with Mike, whining and moaning loudly again. You couldn't help it, between his shiny lips from going down on you, to the messy ass hair from you pulling on it, or making the sex drunk look with the lazy smirk as his face as he fucked you into oblivion. "F-Fuck Mike!" You whimpered as he spit forcefully down where his cock entered inside of you before rubbing your clit with two fingers. You couldn't take it, you wanted to scream but you knew your brother would get a noise complaint and he'd know what you two were doing, home alone.
"My slut can take it" Mike whispered in your ear as he wrapped a hand around your throat, squeezing tightly as he started to thrust his hips alot faster than he previously was "Fuck fuck fuck Mike!" You screamed trying to close your legs but Mike just held them back open, continuing the sweet abuse on your clit, you could feel yourself getting close to the breaking point of cumming again and you knew Mike didn't care. You gasped loudly arching your back as he started fucking you alot faster, the hand around your throat tightening and it just added to your pleasure. "Cum, slut" Mike growled, not letting his hips falter its pace as he watched you cum, the way your face scrunched up, or the way your pussy squeezed around his cock as tight as possible, or maybe it was the fact you were screaming his name while leaving scratch marks all down his back but whatever it was, he wanted to remember it forever. You started to whimper, his cock moving inside of you beginning to become way too much for you to handle "Hold on baby..Use your words, you know what to say to stop, Daddy's so close though" Mike panted as he kept fucking you, his little whimpers were enough to get you wet yet again, but this time it sparked an idea. Once Mike started to pull out you glared at him, giving him a look that says 'you'll regret that' "Keep fucking me, baby" You whispered grabbing his boxer waist band that was tugged down below his cock, using it to pull him back closer, and his cock back deeper inside of you "Keep fucking mommy" You moaned arching your back, Mike whined before rolling onto his back pulling you ontop of him "Fuck keep talking please, you're so fucking hot" He moaned grinding his hips up "So Mike Ross is also a bottom?" You gasped playfully before holding his hips down "In that case, hips down, slut" You demanded before starting to grind and bounce your hips slowly on his lap, moving his cock in and out of you at a slow pace, making Mike try and sit up quickly, once he realized that wasn't happening he attempted to try and speed up your pace by thrusting his hips up but you just grabbed his hair and tugged it back, using the opportunity to leave hickeys down his neck. "F-Fuck Ma'am" Mike whined sitting up holding you close to him before taking one of your nipples in his mouth, swiping his tongue over it along with gently nipping at it, all making you increase the speed you were going. Mike was a whining wiggling mess, desperate to fuck you again and get his pleasure, he hadn't been a bottom since high school when he fucked the popular girl so this was extremely extremely hot for him.
"You wanna fuck me, baby?" You whispered in his ear dragging your nails down his back "Yes. yes yes yes Mommy, ma'am, yes, whatever you want me to call you just please let me fuck you, I wanna make you cum again" He whined trying to move his hips up against you as you lifted your hips up so it was just the tip inside of you. "Then take whats yours, Mike.." You whispered before kissing him deeply, he flipped you again, fucking you alot more erratic and harder, slamming into your pussy like it was the last time he'd ever fuck anybody. "Fuck!" You both shouted, yours more of a moan while Mike's was a full whine. You gasped feeling him cum inside of you, something you weren't expecting considering he had a condom, you couldn't think too much about it as you felt that familiar knot in your stomach snap as you came for the fifth or sixth time that morning.
As Mike pulled out you watched him stare down in horror and shock "Y/n..The condom broke.." He mumbled looking towards you as you were laying down trying to catch your breath.

Steven Hyde x Reader
Y'all I'm already halfway done with the next part so hopefully this is good
Word count:4.2k+ (Aka my longest piece yet)
Warnings, swearing, smoking, making out, slight sexual themes
Point Place, Wisconsin
April 5th, 1977
7:38pm
Location: Eric Forman's Basement
The sounds of Gilligan’s Island fill the basement from the television, smoke in the air as you all sit in the usual circle.
“It runs on water man! I swear you guys just don’t get it.” Hyde huffs, everyone kind of spacing out on their own highs.
“No we get it Hyde, we just also hear it every time we get in this damn circle.” You say, giggling at Donna playing with her hair.
“(Y/n), do you have any candy on you?” Fez clasps his hands together, begging for a yes.
“Of course Fez, someone has to keep you fed.” You throw him a pack of milk duds before throwing a second one to Kelso, already seeing the look in his eyes.
“Man (Y/n), if you weren’t always playing hard to get I’d totally do you.”
“It’s not playing hard to get if I don’t want you dumbass.” You punch his shoulder next to you as he dramatically leans back.
“That hurt!” You smile at him before flicking his nose in response.
“You know, if you’re not careful you’re gonna turn into Red.” Forman looks at you, nodding softly to himself.
“Actually I think your mom is who I want to be when I grow up. Minus the whore daughter and smart mouthed son.” Hyde lifts his arm for a high five to which you give him in pride.
“BURN!” Kelso yells, laughing uncontrollably despite the fact it wasn’t even that good of a burn, just the first time you’ve ever retaliated.
“She’s coming along nicely right? I’m teaching her everything I know.”
When you met the group, you were this quiet 13 year old that had just moved to Point Place from Louisiana. Donna had been the first to approach you, giving you a verbal invitation to join her for lunch. Ever since, you’ve been there for all the shenanigans they’ve done. Usually playing mom for the group to keep them from actually dying. You can safely say you were not there the last time Kelso fell off the water tower otherwise all the pain of a hospital trip and Eric walking in on his parents doing the nasty would’ve not been necessary. The last year, you’ve been tired of being so quiet and reserved around the general public. Hyde offered you an apprenticeship of zen, though you mostly smoke and talk.
“Only took 4 years but here she is, blossoming into a degenerate.” Donna grabs your shoulders like a proud mom, shaking you slightly. Almost instantly the door to the basement swings open, Jackie darting in and standing in front of the TV.
“Donna, (Y/n) are you two ready or not? I’ve been waiting next door listening to Bob sing.” She cringes before walking closer to the couch and pulling you both up by one arm.
“For such a tiny little thing you sure are strong.” You spat, tinge of annoyance in your voice.
“We’re supposed to be having girls night! Facials, manicures, the whole works and instead you’re down here with the boys doing god knows what.” She huffs tapping her foot.
“Relax Jackie, we just needed a circle session to prepare for this.” You say, dramatically gesturing between the girls and you.
“We better go before Jackie drags us out.” Donna gives Eric a kiss goodbye before us three go next door for a night at Donna’s.
There's a moment of silence in the basement, interrupted by Eric clearing his throat.
“Soo, my room has a perfect view of the girls’ sleepover.” Eric points upstairs before all the boys jump up from the couch to head upstairs, hoping to steal a peek at what the girls are doing.
“Donna, remind me to buy your dad pajama pants for Christmas.” You shiver recalling her dad in just a robe and underwear. You all three sit on Donna’s bed as Jackie ruffles through the bag she brought.
“Okay since I know whatever you’re using doesn’t work I brought face masks from home.” Donna pushes Jackie over on the bed as you look through the options. As you all apply the masks in silence, Donna puts music on since she was the first to finish hers.
“So (n/n), any guys? Maybe a secret lover?” Donna shimmies her shoulders in an over-the-top way causing a laugh from you as the blush spreads through your face.
“I mean, I haven’t actually had a crush since we were sophomores. There may be one developing though so we shall see.” You grab one of the stuffed animals Jackie brought, pulling it to your body to hide yourself.
“Well who is this contender? This is history making!” Jackie grabs your shoulders to look up at her.
“I wouldn’t say that-“
“You haven’t had a love life for over two years. I mean there was the one from the house party I brought you to but that was it and it was only one night.” You dig yourself more into the stuffed animal.
“You guys are gonna scream if I say though. Maybe not angry scream but definitely scream.” Their eyes widen as they look between each other and you.
“OH MY GOD IT’S HYDE!” Jackie screams, making you clamp a hand over her mouth.
“Shut the hell up please, we already know the boys are gonna try to sneak in or something like they always do.” You say in a hushed tone, brows furrowed and face bright red.
“Oh my god it is Hyde!” Donna says, grabbing your face with both hands.
“Tell us everything.” You nod as she lets go of you, about to spill all the little moments and stolen glances.
“Dude, what do you think they’re talking about?” Eric says, trying his hardest to hear through the walls.
“I don’t know but- OH JACKIE IS ABOUT TO KISS (Y/N) I REPEAT JACKIE IS ABOU- Oh she was just grabbing her by the shoulders.” Kelso had the binoculars, watching their every move.
“They’re probably talking about boys, or how attracted they are to each other. Look how pink (Y/n) is.” Fez says, eating the popsicle he grabbed from the basement.
“Wait, is- GUYS DONNA IS GONNA KISS (Y/N)!” They all scurry to get closer the window before seeing her pull away.
“Damn why do they keep doing that!?”
“Okay there’s definitely something going on. Jackie isn’t talking at all!”
“Whatever (L/n)'s saying must be really good.” Hyde looks at your side profile, taking in the pink settling through your face and how fast you're talking.
“I'm definitely not his type though, I mean you remember that biker chick. He almost ran away with her!" Donna shakes her head at you.
"Dude you're the only person he doesn't mess with."
"Because I'm the least annoying in the group." Jackie scoffs as you giggle at her.
"Oh please you run around playing mom, that's annoying enough."
"Hey I make it safe fun, you make it no fun. Constant 'don't do that Michael, you're all idiots' it's so annoying. News flash, they're still gonna do it! " She pulls your hair and before you can retaliate, Donna is pushing down to the bed.
"Okay then how about we go see what movies are on?" The redhead exclaims, dragging you both off her bed.
"What's up losers?" You say as you barge into the basement, grocery bags in hand.
"What did you bring?" A smirk comes across your face before putting all but one bag down.
"Just a little something for everyone. First, Fez here's some family size skittles." You present them dramatically before throwing the bag to the boy.
"Okay next we have Frito's, potato chips, Pringles, chocolate for Donna specifically because I love you, some Jackie approved soda since it's never here, and beer!" As everyone grabs at the pile of food, you stand there accomplished. You make your way to sit on the floor before Hyde gets up without a word and sits on the arm of the couch. Your brows furrow at him before he motions for you to sit down in his chair. You reluctantly sit, everyone freezing at the sight.
"Why are you in Hyde's chair?" Fez asks, popping a skittle in his mouth.
"More importantly, why did Hyde give up his chair?" Eric's eyes go wide as a lightbulb goes off in his head.
"Wa-" Before he could even finish a word, Donna is elbowing him in the side to shut him up.
"No way, they're doing it!" Kelso exclaims, pointing back and forth at you both. Hyde punches him in the shoulder, causing a pained 'ow' to come from the boy.
"Oh my god it's a damn chair. Hyde take your chair back." You stand up and move to the floor, arms crossed over your chest. Of course, the guys don't miss the pink flush to your cheeks.
"Nah, I'm good right here." Hyde replies shortly, taking a drink of his beer. As you and Hyde have a staring contest between you and the empty chair, the group is looking at you two like animals in a zoo.
"And here we have the female lioness, asserting her dominance as the male tries to feign attraction." Eric speaks, in a somewhat terrible accent.
"You know what, I'm going to spend time with someone who appreciates my presents and my presence." You smile as you stand up, grabbing the only item left in the grocery bag.
"Oh Mrs. Formannnn~" You yell, running up the stairs. A silence cuts through the basement as everyone stares at Hyde.
"You guys are morons." Hyde sighs, going back to his spot.
"You totally like her!" Jackie yells, a smile on her face.
"Whatever." He leans back, drinking his beer.
"Oh (Y/n) marry me and have my babies!" Fez says as Kelso pretends to kiss someone. Hyde gets up and punches them both in the shoulder before heading to his room. Once Donna hears his bedroom door close, she looks at everyone remaining in frustration.
"If you guys don't stop teasing those two, they will never get together! I mean come on we've seen this coming for a year now." Eric furrows his brows at the girl, confused.
"Wait, you knew they liked each other for a year and didn't tell me?"
"Eric, they've never admitted it. It's just obvious." Fez states, finishing the last of that big bag.
"Actually, we finally got (Y/n) to admit to it kind of. She tried to say it's not a crush yet."
"Well can't we just tell Hyde she likes him so he makes a move?" Kelso scoffs at Eric, making Eric slowly look at the dummy.
"Of course not!"
"That's not a bad idea, but we can't just tell him. After that, we have to figure out a way to get them alone together." Donna adds, trying to figure out how they can execute this plan.
You were currently driving to the Forman's to pick the girls up for a nice dinner which Jackie weirdly offered to pay for. Apparently Donna's parents have been at it again, so she needs an escape. As you park and get out you realize Forman isn't home. You go through the basement door rather loudly.
"Where's my girls?" You call out, waiting for a response. When there was none, you look around confused on their absence. You plop yourself on the couch assuming maybe they're late.
"What are you doing here?" You jump before turning around and seeing the curly headed boy you've grown accustomed to.
"Donna and Jackie were supposed to meet me here to go get dinner but I guess they're late. Or forgot?" You huff, crossing your arms across your chest.
"So that's why you're all dressed up." He decides to turn the tv on before sitting in his chair. You realize a slight shift in his energy as he stares off into the tv, not paying any attention to the show.
"You okay?" He glances over at you before looking back at screen, sighing.
"Yep. Wanna smoke?" You nod and move closer to the arm of the couch. Before long he's back to his usual self, albeit still quiet.
"I can't believe they had me wear a skirt just to not show up for our plans." You huff, leaning on the arm of the couch closer to him.
"Well you look good, we don't see you in skirts a lot." He opens the beer can he got from his hiding spot and took a sip. You feel the heat rise to your face and suddenly you can't stop staring at him.
"Thanks I guess, I usually have to be careful with what I wear around the two pervs. Ever since Kelso got a peek under my homecoming dress freshmen year, I said no short skirts ever again. And thank god Fez doesn't know where I live." He chuckles at that last part giving a nod in agreement.
"I don't think I've been to your place either." He states, looking back at you.
"I mean the only pro is smoking in my room, but that's because it's the attic. You'll have to come over sometime."
"Guess I do." Your eyes drift to his lips and you feel his hand lightly hold your knee.
"I think I want to kiss you." Hyde finally admits, rubbing circles into your knee.
"I think I want you to." He leans in as you close your eyes, feeling him press his lips to yours. You slowly move in sync, trying to lean in closer. His tongue glides against your lips and you part your lips, a sigh escaping you. His hand moves to the side of your neck, tilting your head up as he stands to move next to you on the couch. He pulls away, both of you slightly out of breath.
"Is this okay?" He whispers, you nod in response due to your words failing you. This time you lean in, bringing him into a passionate and deep kiss. He leans you back on the couch as he kisses down your jaw to your neck. A small moan escapes your lips when he lightly bites at the place your shoulder and neck meet, his hand lightly rubbing your exposed waist.
“Steven honey, dinner is ready!” You both quickly pull away from each other, praying she doesn’t come downstairs. Your breathing is jagged as you fix your skirt.
“I’ll see you tomorrow?” Hyde speaks up, looking at you with a smirk.
“Y-yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He kisses you one last time, knocking the wind out of you before heading upstairs. As if right on cue, Donna and Jackie come through the basement door.
“Hey, you ready for dinner?” Donna asks, both trying to hide the smiles on their faces.
“Where have you two been!? I’ve been waiting an hour.” They both smile at you, a knowing look on their faces.
“Oh shoot, we must have given you the wrong time! Well doesn’t matter, looks like you had fun.” As Jackie giggles to herself Donna sits next to you, wondering how you’re blushing even more.
“What are you t-talking about? I’ve just been sitting here.”
“Mhm, and what’s that on your neck?” Jackie grills, making your eyes widen. Your focus shifting between the two girls, staring at their smiling faces. A sigh of defeat leaves you.
“Damn I’m not getting out of this huh?” They drag you off the couch, heading out the door to finally get dinner.
The next day as you stood on the driveway of the Forman’s house you grew nervous to enter. Unfortunately your new buddy on your neck was barely budging with makeup, so the boys are going to see it. Deciding you’d rather not run into Kitty or Red, you head towards the basement door. As you enter, you quickly dart to the couch with a wave. You look up and see just Donna and Eric next to you, his eyes wide.
“Hey uh (Y/n), what’s going on?” His eyes dart between your neck and eyes, trying hard not to stare.
“Not much, I slept in thanks to that dinner last night. That food was crazy.” You look at Donna, reminiscing on crème brulée and crab Rangoon.
“N-not much, cool cool. Hey what’s on your neck there?” The smile on his face is slappable as you smile back.
“What’s it look like?” You test him, waiting for him to crack.
“It looks like a hickey, now who would be giving you a hickey?” He taps his finger against his chin before pointing at you.
“Could it be our very own Hyde?” Your eyes widen slightly before you instantly go back to your smile, this time leaning in a little to meet his face in front of Donna.
“Why don’t you ask him?” You push his forehead away from you hard, earning a groan from the skinny boy.
“You guys act like siblings more than Eric and Laurie.” Donna laughs, pulling her boyfriend back down on the couch before he could go ask Hyde. Like clockwork, Hyde comes downstairs, sodas in hand.
“I don’t know why I had to go get these.” He huffs, putting them on the table before realizing you’re here. He sits down on his chair, staring at you before giving a nod. You smile at him, leaning on the arm of the chair.
What you don’t see is Forman’s shit-eating grin because he was definitely right. Before he can say so however, Kelso and Jackie are barging in already arguing. It doesn’t take long for it to stop when Kelso sees you.
“Oh man Hyde that’s gotta burn!” He laughs, Jackie stepping on his foot.
“Kelso, shut up.” Hyde tries to keep his smirk down, but it slips easily.
“Come on just a few days ago you were offering her your chair and now she comes here with a hickey!” You’re bright red at this point, begging anyone with your eyes to get him to shut up.
“Kelso think about that very slowly. The day with the chair, remember anything else that happened? Like maybe yesterday?” Donna speaks like he’s a preschooler, which kind of works. You watch the wheels turn in his head, gears shifting as he looks between everyone before gasping.
“Oh my god, they’re doing it!” Kelso jumps earning a slap on the shoulder from Jackie.
“Kelso, we’re not doing it.” Hyde huffs, annoyed with all his friends.
“…yet.” You mumble, only Donna and Hyde hearing you.
“What so-“
“Kelso shut the hell up and sit down.” He sighs and sits on the arm of the couch closest to the chair Jackie is in.
“Where’s Fezzy boy?” You ask, not feeling the usual feeling of him staring.
“He should be here soon, something about his foster parents trying to get him baptized.” Eric speaks up, clearly amused. You giggle a little at the thought before resting your head in your hand propped on the couch arm.
“You okay?” Donna asks, getting Hyde’s attention. She rubs your shoulder a little for comfort as your head sinks into your hand.
“Just tired, you think Kitty would let me go sleep in Laurie’s room since she’s ‘scouting schools with a girlfriend’ or will Red stop her?” You smile lazily at Donna, earning a laugh from her.
“With that hickey, I think she’d stop you for questioning first.” You sigh and sit up straight, trying to wake up a little.
“Maybe circle time will wake you up.” Eric interjects, shaking a brown baggie.
“Dude, anyone tell you you have bug eyes?” You giggle and poke at Eric’s face.
“And she’s awake!” He grabs your finger and puts it down, chuckling at you.
“You know, I never saw you as a hickey girl (Y/n), thought you must’ve been a prude if you didn’t want me.” Both Hyde and Jackie punch either arm, causing Kelso to jerk back in his chair.
“You started the circle without me!?” Fez sits on the floor in front of you, pouting slightly.
“Sorry man, she was totally about to fall asleep.” Donna says, braiding a small section of your hair. You giggle and pat the boy in front of you’s head.
“(Y/n) come here.” Hyde says in a low tone, everyone else talking amongst themselves. You lean in closer to hear him.
“What’s up?” You try to look at his eyes through the sunglasses with no luck.
“Why don’t you come sit with me? Just so no one’s on the floor you know?” You blush as you look at him.
“A-are you sure?” He nods and you stand, tapping Fez to take your spot. Once he sits on the couch, you sit on the edge of Hyde’s lap. Soon, he’s pulling you into him, keeping an arm around your waist while the other lays on your knee. Your friends all stare but say nothing, not wanting to scare you off like last time. It would be hard though when all you can concentrate on is the feeling of his warm skin on yours and his breath fanning your neck.
“When did this happen?” Fez asks, mostly excited but slightly sad as well.
“Last night.” Hyde responds, causing a blush on your face as you look around the room for reactions.
“We’ll still have our weekly dinners, right (N/n)?” The boy on the couch asks you, making you rub his shoulder and smile.
“You mean us going to the candy store and spending way too much just to eat it all in one night? Yes fez, I’m not abandoning our sugar addiction.” He pumps his fist and is all smiles now.
“I didn’t know you and Fez were close?” Hyde asks you, rubbing your knee.
“Yeah, gotta make sure you boys aren’t tainting him. Specifically Kelso.” He nods and leaves a peck on your cheek.
“Okay I know we planned this but did we think about us having to be around it?” Jackie asks, huffing as kelso laughs.
“Jackie how many times have one of us walked in on you and Michael smacking on the couch?” You say, shuddering slightly at the memory.
“She’s got you there babe.” Kelso smiles at her before she slaps his shoulder.
“What so are you guys official? Or just messing around?” Donna asks, before realizing this conversation is missing something.
“You know what you come with me.” Donna points at you and ushers you both up the stairs.
“Donna why did we need to go upstairs for this?”
“Is that my favorite daughter?" you hear kitty in the other room and your eyes go wide. As you’re lead to the kitchen, kitty looks at you and instantly her smile is wider and she’s clapping and laughing.
“Finally you two happened! I’m assuming the plan worked?” Kitty asks Donna, receiving a nod from the redhead.
“Wait you had Mrs. kitty help you?”
“Just had her call Hyde up so we could be alone with you for the interrogation.” You all three sit at the dining table, kitty putting out cookies that you gladly take.
“So, are you two official?” Kitty asks, pushing the cookies closer to you.
“I mean I guess not? We didn’t talk about it. We were just watching tv while I waited for the girls, and he said he wanted to kiss me.” You take another cookie.
“But he’s practically all over you. At least as much as Hyde can be.” Donna says, looking at Kitty.
“He told her to share his chair so Fez could sit on the couch instead of the floor.” Kitty gasps and claps in excitement again.
“Honey he is smitten, he never cares about the boys’ comfort.” You think about it before the pink comes back to your face again today. If you keep blushing it may end up permanent.
“I mean I know he’s not good at talking about feelings, so I don’t wanna ask. I’d rather just let it happen.” You grab a third cookie before standing up, ready to head back downstairs.
Little did you know, Jackie was leading the interrogation downstairs, knowing the boys would mess it up somehow.
“So Hyde, are you gonna ask her out or what?” She asks, the boys looking between her and Hyde.
“I don’t know man.” He shrugs, causing Jackie to stand up.
“Well you gotta figure it out. If you actually like her you have to ask her. I know Michael and Eric told you how (Y/n) feels and I may not like her but she’s better company than you and I don’t want her all sad when we’re supposed to be talking about me!”
“She doesn’t seem sad to me.” You walk down the stairs, cookie still in hand.
“I’m back!” You move to sit with Hyde again, ignoring the empty spot Donna was in.
“Wait there’s cookies?” Fez and Kelso instantly stand up, dragging Jackie and Eric with them.
“Man they’re annoying.” Hyde sighs, stealing a pinch of cookie.
“Yep, we have pretty annoying friends. And family, apparently Kitty was in on it.” You look at him, leaning his head back over the chair. He looks back up at you and draws circles into your waist.
“Oh well, wanna go to the hub?” The look in his eyes is a tad newer, slight worry and suddenly you realize he’s asking you out.
“Little cliche but I’ll let it slide. Come on.” You stand from his lap and lean down to give him a kiss as you pull him up. The smile on your face says everything as he wraps his arm around you and lead you to the door.

is it too late to let you know (under the mistletoe)
Summary: When Dean rescued Cas from the Empty, it should’ve been easy to yank Cas close and kiss him; making the confession a two-way street. But Dean was caught between too many emotions, and the moment slipped away. Days of silence bled into months, and Dean felt the distance between him and Cas growing into a chasm as Christmas fast approached. When Sam decides to meddle with some well placed mistletoe and claims that by the end of Christmas, they would be deanandcas again, Dean doesn’t believe it. The kisses don’t mean anything, it’s just mistletoe kisses. But, with each kiss, things start to change, and Dean begins to wonder if maybe these kisses do mean something after all.
OR
5 times Dean and Cas kiss under the mistletoe and it doesn’t mean anything, and 1 time they kiss and it definitely absolutely without a doubt means something.
Word count: 4,838 (continued under the read more). Also posted on ao3.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Time for some deancas kissing under the mistletoe!
This whole thing should’ve been easier. It should’ve been instinct to yank Cas into his arms, shake him senseless and maybe push him away for doing such a dumbass thing like gambling his life like that, and then tugging Cas back into his arms and kissing him stupid.
That’s how it should’ve gone.
But when they finally rescued Cas from the Empty, when Cas was standing back in the Bunker, chunks of inky blackness chipping off of him and pooling on the ground around him in large clumps, Dean just stood there, shaking, caught between vibrating relief and shuddering anger.
He wanted to slam Cas against the wall; caught between the urge to pick a fight with fists or to crash their lips together instead.
Words got caught in his throat. Dean wanted to scream and yell, threaten Cas for leaving him the way he did. For the words that Cas left hanging between them. He wantes to grab Cas, hands cradling the back of Cas’ neck as he made the confession a two-way street.
But none of those things happened.
Instead, Dean got up into Cas’ space, pointing his finger accusingly in Cas’ face as he snarled, “Don’t ever do that again.”
And, just like that, the moment was over as Dean turned and stormed away.
~
Dean thought the seven months without Cas were shitty, but these last few months now that Cas was home were a different kind of pain. At this point, Dean wasn’t sure if it was him avoiding Cas or Cas avoiding him.
The forced conversation. The averted eyes. The stilted attempts to avoid running into each other. It was a slow torturous agony.
Dean hated it. Hated Cas and hated himself.
But he hated the space between them the most. Because it felt like they were never going to be deanandcas again.
The silence stretched between them. Hours turned into days into weeks and bled into months. And Dean ached. Ached for his best friend, even though he was right there.
August shifted into September without a stir. September into October and Halloween occurred without any affair. November gave way to December.
And that’s when Sam came bounding into Dean’s room, with far too much excitement and happiness, and it made Dean’s stomach lurch.
“Christmas, Dean. We’re going to celebrate Christmas this year. The whole family. Bobby, Charlie, Jody, Donna, and the girls. Jack’s even gonna join us- Cas convinced him.”
“Oh, did he now?” Dean said, the words coming out like a growl.
The sound that left Sam’s mouth was caught somewhere between a sigh, a frustrated huff, and something else almost mischievous. “Christmas is happening, Dean. And by the end of it, you and Cas will be deanandcas again. Mark my words. It’ll be a Christmas miracle.”
Dean grabbed the nearest thing he could reach, which was only a pillow, and he hurled it at his meddling brother's head.
Great. Just what they needed. A giant Sasquatch forcing the Christmas spirit to “magically” solve the tension between him and Cas. Perfect.
~
As it turned out, Sam’s version of a Christmas miracle was mistletoe.
Piles and piles of mistletoe.
Hanging from every doorway, wait, scratch that, hanging from every available surface of the Bunker. Dean had witnessed Sam catching Eileen under it a whopping 15 times already, and it had only been in the Bunker for less than a day.
Maybe it was just an excuse for Sam to kiss Eileen at every chance he got.
But Dean very quickly realized who the intended target was. And he’d just fallen trap to it, walking through the doorway into the kitchen just as Cas was leaving.
“Looky what we have here,” Sam taunted, motioning to the mistletoe above the doorway. “You two have to kiss now.”
“It’s tradition,” Eileen piped up, grinning from her place next to Sam at the kitchen table. “Couldn’t mess with the ritual behind that, could we? Might cause unnecessary ramifications, and I don’t feel like hunting any monsters during Christmas,” Eileen said, eyes darting between Dean and Cas with a sneaky glint to her gaze.
Goddammit. Sam completely had her in on this little plan of his. Now Dean was going to hunt them both down and feed them to the nearest vamps nest for this.
When he finally shifted his dagger-like gaze away from his traitorous brother over to Cas, he felt the air lurch out of his lungs like a punch to the gut.
Cas had this look in his eyes, caught somewhere between wistful and angry; yearning and threatening. It drew Dean in like a magnet, pulling  him closer on instinct.
Something deep in Dean’s chest ached, open and raw and bleeding. Whatever that feeling was, it must’ve been written on his face, because Cas swooped in with angel-speed, grazed his lips against Dean’s for a fraction of a second, and then marched off before Dean could even blink.
The realization hit him as the last glimpse of the trenchcoat disappeared around the corner seconds later. Cas just kissed him. Kissed him and walked away, as if it meant nothing at all.
~
The next time it happened, it was the doorway into the War Room. Eileen was sitting at the table by herself, with a spread of books that she and Cas had obviously been looking at together before Dean had walked in and interrupted their moment.
“We have to stop meeting like this,” Dean teased, the joke falling from his lips on impulse. The way he used to tease Cas before. Like nothing had changed.
For a brief moment, there was a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of Cas’ lips. As if he’d forgotten that they weren’t on speaking terms; like there wasn’t a chasm cracking wide open between them.
That little smile was enough. It gave Dean a dash of hope. Maybe they could fix this. Maybe they weren’t too broken.
He could do it. Right now. Close the gap between them, and kiss Cas like he should’ve done the second he’d rescued Cas and brought him home. And if it went South, then he could blame it on the mistletoe. No harm, no foul, right?
But that would mean crossing the bridge before they’d mended it. There was no stability, and the thinly layered stones would crumble beneath their feet; sending them into icy waters once again. And Cas deserved better… he deserved more.
“Dean,” Cas said, quiet and slow.
His name. The first time Dean had heard Cas say his name since they’d broken out of the Empty together. Dean felt the sudden yearning strike. A need to hear his name on Cas’ lips like that again; not with anger or betrayal, but a hint of tenderness seeping into the once reverent way Cas used to say his name.
Leaning down, Dean pressed a feather-light kiss to Cas’ cheek. A chaste touch; there and then gone. It wasn’t enough, but it was a start.
Shifting out of Cas’ space, Dean moved into the War Room, grabbing the stack of candy he was supposed to be bringing to the movie that the girls and Jack were watching.
From the corner of his eye, Dean could’ve sworn he saw Cas’ arm move, his fingertips grazing over the spot on his cheek where Dean had kissed him. But by the time Dean actually looked over towards the doorway once his candy stack was stable, Cas was gone.
~
Dean was starting to feel like he was seeing mistletoe everywhere he looked. But it was the glimpses of Cas that really had Dean doing double-takes. The way he could just see the trenchcoat fluttering around a corner or the flicker of bright blue eyes connecting with his own across the room before darting away. It was occurring more often, as if Cas was letting Dean see him for the first time in months.
And if it was just that, it would’ve been enough. Really.
But… the mistletoe was increasing in numbers.
And the kisses shouldn’t mean anything. They didn’t. They really didn’t. Or, maybe they did.
No.
Dean couldn’t go down that road.
Because that would mean words would need to be spoken. Out loud. And he couldn’t… didn’t know how.
The kisses didn’t mean anything. They were just mistletoe kisses. Not going down the road of something more.
Speaking of roads.
There was a new filter that he needed to switch out in the Impala, and at least that was something he could do to keep his mind off of mistletoe and kisses and a certain angel. Making his way out to the garage, he wasn’t expecting to run into anyone. Or to find a clump of mistletoe hanging in the doorway leading into the garage.
Yet, here Dean was, in the doorway, his hip bumping against Cas’ as the angel made his way back into the Bunker. They both stopped. Two sets of eyes flickering up at the same time and then dropping down to each other again.
“I thought you said we had to stop meeting like this,” Cas said, darting his gaze back up to the mistletoe before landing on Dean again.
It was the longest sentence Cas had said to him in months.
Dean swallowed thickly, his eyes locking on the smudge of dirt on the collar of the trenchcoat. “I’m starting to think you’re enjoying catching me under the mistletoe,” Dean said, nudging his shoe against Cas’ in a gentle bump.
Cas shuffled slightly, and Dean winced. Dammit. Wrong thing to say. This thing between them, whatever it was, was too fragile to be throwing grenades like that. He wanted to take it back, to reach out and snatch the words lingering in the air and hide them back behind his ribs.
“Maybe you’re the one hanging the mistletoe waiting for me,” Cas replied. They both knew that wasn’t true; both knew it was Sam and Eileen with the stash of mistletoe.
But before Dean could point that fact out, Cas was leaning in, his lips grazing over Dean’s jaw.
The kiss was subtle, just a hint of plush lips against stubble, but the warm tingling sensation lingered as Cas pulled away. There was a ghost of a smile on Cas’ lips as he turned and walked away, leaving Dean standing under the mistletoe; fingers reaching up to touch where Cas’ lips had left an impression against his skin.
~
“Oh, hey,” Dean said, catching sight of Cas walking down the corridor in the opposite direction from the Dean-cave.
Cas turned around at the sound of his voice, his steps slowing down as he raised an eyebrow at Dean.
“I was just, uh-” Dean started, pointing towards the room with his thumb. “Just about to watch a movie. Jody and Donna were gonna join in a few. Just thought you might wanna, you know…” he trailed off, realizing he didn’t know how to finish that sentence.
Before, it wouldn’t even be a question. Dean would just bump his hip against Cas’ and flash him a smile, nodding his head in the general direction of the Dean-cave. Cas always knew what Dean was offering, and he’d smile back, and they’d move that way together, without having to say a word.
But now, when he actually needed to say the words, he didn’t know how.
Down the hallway, Cas was almost frozen in place, his body half tilted towards Dean as if he wasn’t sure he wanted to move closer or to bolt the other way. The angel’s eyes darted towards the room where they’d watched movies together a hundred times, before moving back to look at Dean.
“I’d like that,” Cas finally said, the hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
The air trapped in Dean’s lungs suddenly rushed out past his lips, and he sighed in relief. “Great, yeah, awesome,” he said, motioning for Cas to follow him.
But of course, as luck would have it, they both managed to walk into the room at the same time. Under the doorway. Where a collection of mistletoe hung just above their heads. Mistletoe that hadn’t been there 5 minutes ago when Dean had set the movie up before going to pop some popcorn.
Their eyes locked almost immediately, and Dean let out a huff of air that turned into a laugh. “Let me guess, there’s mistletoe above us, isn’t there?”
Cas pretended to wince, looking up in a deliberately slow motion before tilting his head in that way that made Dean’s stomach twist in knots. “It appears so,” Cas said, and god dammit, was that a hint of playfulness in his voice? Or was Dean just imagining it?
“I think it was my turn to kiss you, if I’m not mistaken?” Dean asked, before realizing that yes, he’d just admitted he was keeping score. That Cas had kissed him first, then he’d kissed Cas, and the last time Cas had kissed him.
Cas nodded, his eyes darting down to gaze at Dean’s lips before quickly looking away.
From this angle, standing almost side by side, Dean could see the curve of Cas’ hair moving around his ear, and the sudden urge welled up in his chest. Without stopping to think, Dean quickly moved to press his lips to that spot behind Cas’ ear, just below a curl of hair. He lingered there for a beat, savoring the way he could almost feel the tremor that made its way down Cas’ spine.
He only pulled away when he heard Jody and Donna’s footsteps down the hall.
Cas quickly moved to his old seat, and once again Dean found himself left standing under the mistletoe, repeating to himself like a mantra that these kisses didn’t mean anything.
The knock at his door broke Dean’s concentration, and he looked up from the mini vending machine he was building for Jack as a gift. Why he thought ordering this would be a good idea, he had no idea. It was like a piece of ikea furniture, with far too many instructions that were too vague in Dean’s opinion.
Maybe a break from the infernal contraption would keep Dean from throwing it at the wall and buying Jack 20 boxes of nougat instead.
When his eyes locked with Cas’, he froze. “Hey,” he said, gaze suddenly glued to the way Cas’ throat worked as the angel swallowed.
Cas offered him a small smile, motioning with his head back down the hall towards the main area of the Bunker. “Charlie’s looking for you. Something about Claire and Jody in the kitchen and that you were needed.”
Dean grinned, remembering the pie challenge that Jody and Claire had suggested that morning.
Pushing away from the desk, Dean grabbed his jacket from the back of the chair and he draped it over the vending machine, hiding it from view in case Jack came peeking. “Gotta pie-crown to defend,” Dean said in answer to Cas as he moved towards the door.
But, instead of moving out of the way so that Dean could get through, Cas was rooted to the spot in the doorway.
“Earth to Angel,” Dean teased, bumping against Cas with his shoulder. “You gonna let me leave or am I going to have to push you into the kitchen with me?”
But Cas’ eyes weren’t on Dean. They were looking up.
Frowning, Dean cast his eyes up, too.
Dammit.
“I didn’t! That wasn’t… I didn’t put that there,” Dean quickly defended as he looked at the mistletoe, down to Cas, and then back up to the plant. Dean was going to kill Sam. Absolutely kill him.
“If you wanted to kiss me, Dean, all you had to do was ask,” Cas said, a lilt to his tone that took Dean one second, two seconds, three to catch.
Cas was… was Cas actually teasing him right now?
“Told you I didn’t put it there,” he muttered, even as he caught sight of that half-smile on Cas’ lips that clearly said Cas was enjoying himself far too much. “Besides, it’s you who owes me a kiss this time, so how do I know you didn’t put it there as an excuse to kiss me.”
“You caught me,” Cas said, putting his hands up in defeat even as rolled his eyes playfully.
“Yeah, well,” Dean huffed. “It is your turn, so pay up.”
Cas smiled, this time genuine, and Dean could’ve sworn his heart stopped for a second before kicking back into gear at full speed.
“As you wish,” Cas replied, closing the gap as he pressed his lips against the crinkles next to Dean’s right eye. If Dean thought his heart was beating fast before, it suddenly felt like it was racing a marathon at the tenderness of the kiss.
It was… intimate. Soft. Almost reverent. Cas pulled back a few seconds later, but Dean could’ve sworn it felt like Cas’ lips were still there, kissing along the wrinkles and up across his temple.
Without a word, Cas moved out of the doorway and started to walk towards the kitchen.
“Are you coming?” Cas called over his shoulder.
“Yeah,” Dean said, voice thick and rough, and he cleared his throat. “Yeah,” he said again, but even as he followed Cas to the kitchen, Dean couldn’t shake that warm feeling that was still lingering on his skin.
~
Christmas Eve had crept up quicker than Dean expected. But maybe that was because his mind had been a little preoccupied lately. He’d spent the last two days avoiding Cas. Not because he didn’t want to see him, but because an idea had been forming in the back of his mind. The idea to take matters into his own hands.
After that last kiss, standing in the doorway to his bedroom, it was as if Cas had spelled it out for Dean in big bold letters across his door.
It was right there. And now they were… it felt like that bridge had been crossed. They were talking again. Seeking each other out and interacting like they used to. They were deanandcas again.
Except, there was something else. Something written in-between the words. Dean had felt it, maybe since Cas had kissed his jaw. Or maybe it was when he’d kissed Cas on the cheek. But it was there, and Dean had to do something about it.
It had to be him.
It should’ve been him all those months ago, when Cas was shedding clumps of darkness to reveal angelic light standing in the Bunker again. It should’ve been him who closed the gap, who said the words back to Cas with actions instead of verbally. He hadn’t then. But he needed to now.
Finding Sam’s stash of mistletoe had been easy. Honestly, the sock drawer, Sammy? How cliche.
Sliding the plant into his pocket had been a little more challenging, mostly because it left an obvious clue he was carrying something in his pocket.
But the most difficult part was closing those last few steps. Dean found himself lingering in one of the archways to the library, watching Cas read as if it were the most riveting thing he’d ever seen. And maybe it was; because Cas was here, and it was Christmas, and they were deanandcas again.
Taking those last steps felt like torture, but not the bad kind. The kind of sweet torture that Dean knew meant he was making the right choice. The choice he should’ve made months ago.
Approaching Cas from behind, he peered over the angel’s shoulder to see the book splayed out on the table.
“Whatcha reading?” he asked, sliding his hands into his pockets, fingers grazing over the leaves of the plant.
Cas darted his gaze from the page, offering Dean a smile. “It’s about Christmas traditions. Jack said it was important that I read it. Didn’t have the heart to tell him I already knew it all, so I took the book and promised to read it anyway,” Cas said.
Yep. That was Cas all over. Ready to do anything just because it meant something to someone he cared about.
“Well, I-uh, needed to borrow you for something,” Dean said, inching the mistletoe out of his pocket and keeping it hidden in his hand.
Cas grinned, closing the book with far more care than anyone ought to. “As long as it isn’t more wrapping. Charlie and Kaia had me helping them wrap all morning.”
Dean laughed, but he shook his head. Moving his hand, he held the mistletoe above Cas’ head and then gently nudged Cas’ shoulder with his other hand. “Look up.”
Tipping his head back, Cas looked up, his eyes latching onto the mistletoe that Dean held over his head. He quickly looked at Dean, then at the mistletoe; a dawning realization washing over his face.
“Last time, you said if I wanted, all I had to do was ask,” Dean said, swallowing thickly as the words swelled up in his throat. “This is me asking.”
Now it was Cas’ turn to swallow, and Dean watched the movement of Cas’ throat as Cas kept his head tilted back, eyes never leaving the mistletoe wrapped between Dean’s fingers.
“Asking for what, Dean?” Cas whispered.
Here it was. Now or never. No going back. Time to right his wrong and do what should’ve been done from the moment he’d rescued Cas from the Empty.
“To kiss you,” Dean said, the words rushing out in a breath that tasted like relief.
When Cas moved, pushing back from the chair, it was with purpose. Reaching out, Cas’ fingers wrapped around Dean’s wrist, keeping the mistletoe above their heads as he leaned in closer into Dean’s space.
“I thought you’d never ask,” Cas breathed out, and Dean lurched forwards, using his free hand to grab hold of Cas’ trenchcoat as he pulled Cas closer until their lips finally met.
This kiss wasn’t anything like their first.
While Cas’ lips had barely grazed against Dean’s for a fraction of a second the first time they’d been under the mistletoe together, this time it was like neither of them were in a rush to let go.
Cas immediately melted into the kiss, and Dean dropped his hand until he was wrapping his arm around Cas’ shoulders. Slotting their lips together was easy. It was the easiest thing Dean had ever done in his entire life.
A stuttered sigh escaped between their mouths as Dean traced over the shape of Cas’ lips with his own, and Dean couldn’t give a damn if it was him or Cas making the sound, because right now all he could focus on was the way Cas’ lower lip felt caught between his own.
They broke apart with a gasp, and Dean quickly dove in again, chasing Cas’ mouth at the same time as he marginally tilted his head. Their mouths met perfectly, both of their lips parted just enough that they were pressed flush against each other. Dean held the kiss, keeping their mouths locked together like it was a lifeline.
Cas pulled back a fraction, before his lips caught against Dean’s lower lip, and Dean felt a shiver dash down his spine. A hand was suddenly cupping his cheek, and Cas leaned in again and again, repeating that same motion as their lips met in the middle with a fervor that had Dean feeling weak in the knees.
Then it was Cas tilting Dean’s head, with his hand still on Dean’s cheek and the other brushing against Dean’s jaw, and a soft graze of tongue darted out across Dean’s lip. Dean felt his knees wobble as a shuddering breath slipped from his mouth and melded into Cas’.
Gripping hold of the trenchcoat tighter, Dean chased that teasing touch of tongue with his own, lightly tracing over Cas’ lower lip before pulling away.
Now it was Cas who was letting out the softest groan between their mouths, diving in deeper to chase the taste of Dean. It was just a fleeting touch of Cas’ tongue against his own, enough to leave Dean breathless, before Cas broke the kiss.
Dean leaned in again, lips gliding together as he slowed the kisses down. And Cas seemed to like that even more; lingering on each brush as they traded touches back and forth.
Easing back slowly, Dean alternated between open mouthed brushes and catching Cas’ parted lips with his own. The kisses were slow and languid, as if there was no rush in the world.
And God, Dean loved it. The way he could feel the tremble in Cas’ body as he captured the angel’s lower lip and tugged on it softly. Or the way he felt like he was half absorbing and half swallowing the little gasps and shaky breaths that Cas kept making. If he’d known kissing Cas was going to feel this good, he would’ve pressed the angel against the wall and kissed him senseless from the second he’d gotten Cas back from the Empty.
Closing the gap again, Dean pressed their mouths together, and he shuddered as he felt how warm Cas’ lower lip was. Nudging back slightly, he caught sight of Cas’ kiss swollen lips and everything in his brain went blank. He’d done that. He’d just kissed Cas so much that the angel’s lips were red and glistening.
Peppering quick pecks to the corner of Cas’ mouth, Dean leaned in for one last lingering kiss. Cas huffed out a breath through his nose, the air cascading over Dean’s cheek, and Dean slowly eased back until their mouths were just barely ghosting against each other.
Adjusting his arm, Dean moved to tilt Cas’ head until their foreheads were pressed together. Cas let out a little hum, slightly moving so he could press a quick kiss to Dean’s cheekbone.
“That was-” Cas started to say.
“Long overdue,” Dean murmured, unable to stop himself from nudging Cas’ nose with his own before he inched his way back to Cas’ mouth.
He couldn’t stop. Now that he’d had a taste, had felt the shape of Cas’ mouth against his own, he just couldn’t get enough.
It was as if they were making up for lost time, lips moving against each other again, this time more hurried as Dean nudged Cas back against the table so he could use the leverage to press more hungrily into Cas’ mouth.
“We should…” Cas said against Dean’s lips before he pushed forward to kiss Dean again, letting out a groan.
“Yeah,” Dean hummed, licking along the seam of Cas’ lips before teasing his mouth open so he could initiate those open mouthed brushes again that had them both breathless.
At some point, Cas’ hand had shifted from Dean’s shoulder and had slipped down into the back pocket of the hunter’s jeans, and if that move wasn’t enough to have Dean seeing stars, then Cas’ tongue in his mouth was about to make him go supernova.
Just as Dean wrapped his tongue around Cas’, a slow clap behind them made Dean break the kiss with a gasp.
“About damn time,” Sam said from the doorway, a massive grin on his face.
“Oh, don’t stop on our account,” Eileen teased. “We were enjoying the show.”
Dean felt his face flush, and he glared at Sam and his meddling girlfriend. He was sure his rumpled appearance was severely dampening the threat, but he shot daggers at them anyway. “Yes, yes, your plan worked. We get it. Unless you want to watch me push Cas up onto the table, I suggest you get out,” Dean said, making his point by nudging Cas backwards until his thigh slipped between Cas’ legs.
Cas’ mouth parted again, this time with a breathy gasp, and Dean leaned back in to feel that gasp against his lips. He didn’t have time to look back to see if Sam and Eileen had gotten the hint, other than the vague noise of Sam making a disgusted sound and the echo of retreating steps. But Dean couldn’t bring himself to care, because if he didn’t get his lips on Cas’ again in the next two seconds, Dean swore he might just cease to function.
Nudging Cas up onto the table, Dean stepped between Cas’ legs as he chased Cas’ mouth into another bruising kiss.
“You know they’re just-” Cas broke off, meeting Dean’s lips and sighing into the kiss. “-going to go tell everyone that we’re-” Cas stopped again as he lurched forward to find Dean’s mouth again. “-making out.”
“Don’t care,” Dean huffed, finding a very delectable angle that meant he could catch Cas’ lips fully between his own. “Shut up and kiss me.”
The moan that slipped between them was shared, and Dean drew Cas closer until it felt like they were melding together as one.
The mistletoe lay discarded on the ground, completely forgotten; dropped at some point when Dean slipped his fingers into Cas’ hair as they continued to kiss.

HARVEY'S POV
My legs were numb. That sort of numbness when something happens that you can’t explain. It felt like my life just flashed before my eyes. That image of Claudia’s shaking lip… hearing her broken voice… I don’t think I’ll ever get it out of my fucking head.
“Harvey, I requested those trades be made an hour ago. Do you wanna tell me why… Harvey?”
I could see Jessica in front of me, but I couldn’t hear a damn thing she said.
“Harvey, what’s going on?” She closed the door, and I put a hand out to steady myself so I wouldn’t fall on the floor. “What happened?” “I fucked up,” I whispered.
“Yeah, no shit. You tanked our only opportunity to get a leg up on this Gustoson case. You’re damn right you fucked up-”
“No no,” I sat on the arm of the chair. My hands began to shake so I folded them together. Jessica saw.
“What the hell did you do?”
“I yelled at Claudia…”
She just blinked at me. “Is that seriously what you’re concerned about? Yelling at an associate? Okay, you yelled at an associate, what’s new? That might as well be in your job description.”
“No no no I didn’t just yell at her I threatened to do the one thing that I promised I would never do and now she’s gone. She left. I can’t- I don’t- I never meant to hurt her but she suggested that we file a motion to dismiss and I got so caught up in my anger about her accusing me of using her that I lost my-”
“Using her? Harvey, what is going on?” “I’ll tell you what’s going on,” Donna barged in.
“Donna please don’t-”
“Harvey and Claudia have been ‘working together’ for the last month and a half, when in reality he has been a selfish, lying, arrogant brat who has crossed so many lines it’s beginning to look like a Rorschach Test.”
“You know?” I felt my heart suffocate myself. I thought I was gonna throw up.
“In all honesty Harvey, no I didn’t. Not until Claudia just broke down in the elevator and told me everything. I cannot believe that you would use her like that. For your own personal satisfaction are you out of your fucking mind?” “Harvey, what the hell is she talking about?” Jessica’s voice was full of hostility.
“He thought that it would be a good idea to boost Claudia’s confidence by getting into her pants.”
“Donna it wasn’t-”
Jessica scoffed, covering her face. “What the hell is wrong with you? This has got sexual harassment written all over it, Havrey. Could you really be that delusional?”
“For fucks sake it wasn’t like that!” I screamed. Genuinely screamed and paced around. “I didn’t use her, not intentionally. God dammit I haven't been able to think clearly since the first day that I saw Claudia. She is an incredible lawyer and all I wanted to do was give her something else to focus on because she was afraid to be in a room with me. I just- all I wanted to do was help her find a little bit of confidence and oh my god this sounds so much worse when I say it outloud.”
Donna and Jessica exchanged a look while I slowly felt like my heart was being ripped out of my chest and stomped on the floor with cleats.
“Okay Harvey, sit down and tell us what happened,” Donna steered me away from putting a hole in the wall to my desk.
“I don’t even know, Donna.” “Well while you two enjoy going down memory lane, I’ll be fighting for our firm's life. If you two don’t get your shit together, and by you two I mean Harvey, then… I don’t even know then.”
She all but slammed the door on her way out, patrons on the other side sending worried glances our way. I turned my chair so they wouldn’t see me.
“How long has this been going on?” Donna asked.
I dug my nails into my skin. “Almost two months.”
“Two months? Harvey, how could you not tell me?” “Because I didn’t want to,” I admitted. “And partly because I kind of thought you already knew. You know, the whole ‘Donna superpower’ shit you do.”
“I know I can’t believe I missed it,” she took the chair in front of me. I glared at her so hard I thought I’d light that hair of hers on fire. “Okay bad time for a joke. So, bachelor, why don’t you start from the beginning. And please, I don’t need to know the dirty details, despite my curiosity. Claudia is like a little sister to me and I really don’t want to picture you and her and oh my god I already am. Ugh, please start talking so I don’t have to be tortured.”
So dramatic. I was good looking, and so was Claudia. Why wouldn’t anyone want to picture us together? Then my eyes snapped to the chair she was sitting on. Oh god. Donna was in the chair that I was the first time Claudia and I-
“Get up,” I blurted out, reaching for her and placing her in my desk chair. God dammit we used that one too. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
We sat down on the couch and I rubbed my strained eyes. Here goes nothing.
“When Sheila first sent over the recruits from Harvard, I interviewed all of them. Except for one. There were thirteen associates but I only had twelve meetings set up. So I asked Louis if he was interviewing any of the newbies and he said just one. Obviously this person was some sort of idiot to be going to Louis instead of me, so I popped in.”
“Well, Claudia I think that you have some unbelievable potential at this firm and I’d just like to- Harvey, what are you doing here I am in the middle of an interview.”
“Oh I know, I just wanted to drop by and see how it was going.”
In front of Louis was this warm, chestnut brown head of sleek, silk like hair. She was wearing a lavender blouse and a black maxi skirt with a slit to the knee. She had on these black flats with pearls on them. Summer had just ended, and there was some remaining sunburn on her nose and cheeks. Her eyes were surrounded by prominent lashes and eyebrows, a fine line of makeup between the two; lavender, to match the top.
“It’s going great, now will you get the hell out and tend to your own interviews and stop barging in on my only one?”
“Harvey Specter,” I introduced, sticking out my hand. She looked from it over to Louis, who was just shooting me daggers.
“You just can’t help yourself, can you?”“Louis, I’m not trying to woo your associate, I’m just introducing myself to her. We are kind of name partners, you know. It’s the courteous thing to do.”
Again, all she did was look at my hand before slowly standing up. I didn’t miss the way she tried to subtly wipe her hand on her skirt.
“I’m Claudia. Claudia Martin.”
God dammit that was a pretty name. It sounded so sophisticated, so mature and would sound really nice next to mine. Or with mine. Harvey Specter and Claudia Martin. I don’t know why I thought of hearing or seeing ‘Claudia Specter’ one day, but I did. And I didn’t hate the way it sounded.
“Welcome to Pearson Specter Litt,” I gave a nice smile. It was clear she was already intimidated to be here, I didn’t need to add to that fire. She barely looked me in the eye for two seconds, but those two seconds made my head spin.
She had the most gorgeous eyes I think I’ve ever seen in my life. They were amber in the middle but had this ring of hazel around the outer rim. It was just… not something I’ve ever seen before. I didn’t want her to look away because I just wanted to keep looking at them.
And that blush… that I knew wasn’t her sunburn. Not the way it creeped up the side of her face, or at the base of her neck.
Jesus Harvey, stop staring at her. You’re probably giving off major stalker vibes.
“Well I’ll be around if you need anything, Claudia. Don’t be shy,” I smiled, the best charming one I could. Her full lips were in a tight line, her fingers picking at each other before she sat back down with Louis.
“Okay so you sabotaged Louis’ meeting with Claudia and thought she was beautiful? Why didn’t you just say that?” Donna interrupted.
“Didn’t you ask me to start from the beginning?” She snapped her lips closed. “So let me tell the goddamn story. Yes, I thought she was stunning. I mean, no one in their right mind would think otherwise. She is so pretty and so smart and twice the person I wish I could be. There is just something about her that I can’t shake from my memory.”
“Yeah we get it, you’re head over heels for Claudia. Now on with it I don’t have all day.”
I rolled my eyes.
“That was the first time I met her. It wasn’t long after that she started working here when I talked to her again. She was just sitting at her desk, Griffin and whoever else crowded around the opposite end of the bullpen. She was excluded and it made me feel bad.”
I’ve always thought Griffin would be at the top of my list for top associates. He was like me; only shorter, not as good looking, and had blue eyes instead of brown. Did I mention he wasn’t as good looking? Anyway, I had only one intention: get Claudia alone so I could talk to her.
Every day since she started a few weeks ago, I have watched her get off the elevator, walk through the office, and disappear around the corner. It wasn’t fair that she got to look like that, walk like that, and no one was around to appreciate it.
She was so fucking eye catching. And I didn’t want the other slobs at this firm to get to her before I could.
“Claudia, do you mind helping me with something for a few minutes?” I asked, voice just loud enough for Griffin to hear.
She looked up, pen cap between her rosy lips, and blinked. That flush creeped onto her cheeks. I tried not to smile.
“Sure,” she nodded once and stood up, following me out.
I was not so subtle with the look that I gave Griffin, and he wasn’t so subtle with the way he spoke.
“Is there something you need, Harvey? Claudia is in the middle of a very important depo documentation. I’d hate for her to fall behind.”
What a dick. “No, Griffin. It seems like you’ve got more important things to do with your book club than working on whatever Louis assigned you, so Claudia will work just fine. I prefer an actually hard working associate to someone who’s discussing whatever mediocre steak dinner you had at Texas Roadhouse last Wednesday.”
“Griffin’s eyes simmered and shot daggers into Claudia. But he didn’t open his mouth. I thought about punching him in the face for looking at her like that, and that’s when I realized I was fucked. That I was willing to do that for Claudia when it was literally the second time I’ve ever talked to her.”
“I’ll say,” Donna huffed. “What happened next?” “I just had her deliver some letters for me to the courthouse. I asked her something about Griffin, if they were ever acquainted with each other.”
“And what did she say?”
“She told me that Griffin was a total douchebag and tried to use his social status to get a leg up on her in class discussions, cutting corners to discredit her. It was so unfair and I just-”
Donna put a hand on my knee. “Relax, Harvey. Griffin isn’t here, stop looking like you want to put him through a wall.” “Well, Donna, I do want to put him through a wall because he has been an asshole to Claudia for no other reason than she was good at her job. It makes me sick.”
“When did you start becoming so protective of her? I’ve never seen you like this with anyone other than Mike, Louis, Jessica and myself. You must… really really care about her.”
“I think it was during the mock trial. She was always off to the side, always attentive, but never spoke up. I couldn’t stop myself from glancing over at her every once and a while to see if she wanted to be included. But she never did.”
“This case may seem simple, but the husband is a grade A asshole. He has done everything to cover his tracks and is gonna come at us with everything he’s got. Find me some evidence and make it good.”
They all branched off, heading this way and that. Claudia went to the only logical place, right to me.
“Hi, Mr. Specter-sir. I just have one question about-about the case if you’ve got a minute. If you have somewhere to be I understand and I can ask later,” she said quickly.
“Of course, what do you want to know?” I couldn’t help but think her stuttering was cute. I knew she was nervous, specifically around me; she always seemed so tense with me, so I made sure to always speak quietly and calmly with her.
“Was Mr. Saros the one who paid off that investment banker? Did the money come from his account directly or a different one?”
God she was so good. “It came from him and his wife’s joint account.”
Claudia had a slight grin to her lips, and she nodded before striding away. She was going to crack this wide open. I just knew it.
I went back to my office to wait it out, to see if any one could come up with an idea before Claudia. Before I knew it, it was three o'clock and I had a meeting to go to for another case Mike and I were working on. When we got in the car, Mike was looking at me with a knowing smile.
“What?”
He shook his head, “Nothing, just wondering how long you’re going to pretend you’re not in love with Claudia Martin.”
“The first year associate?”
“Don’t pretend you don’t know who she is. I see you watch her like a starving animal every time she comes into the office. And every time she leaves. And every time she asks Donna something.”
Uh oh.
“Oh please, I have far better things to do than get involved with a first year.”
“You didn’t deny that you were in love with her.”
“Do you want to get smacked? Or I could kick you out of this car at sixty miles per hour, see how you like the taste of asphalt.” Mike did not know when to stop pushing my buttons.
“I think you just proved my theory.”
“What theory?”
“That you are in love and you are incredibly protective of Claudia. I heard about what you said to Griffin when he offered his help because Claudia was ‘too busy’. You know he pawned that work off to her, right?”
My eyes narrowed and my jaw clenched, as well as my fists. I fixed my gaze out the window and took some deep breaths. Jesus… he had a point. A huge point. God dammit I’m in trouble.
“Mike knew before I did?” Donna sounded mildly offended.
“Well, not really. I never told him what we were doing. But I did tell him that I liked her. And when he told me that Griffin was pawning off his work to Caudia it sent me into a spiral. Shit, Donna… I am in so deep with Claudia. I really fucked up. I mean really bad. I made a promise to her that I wouldn’t treat her like the other associates because she wasn’t like the other associates. She was Claudia. And Claudia was- is- so much better than the rest of them.” “Why would you make a promise like that if you knew you wouldn’t be able to keep it?” “I had every intention of keeping it, but then all the shit with started happening when Louis found out about Mike being a fraud and he took that fucking case with Gerard and I couldn’t hold it together.” “Why did you even make it in the first place?” Donna asked, but I really didn’t want to tell this story.
I sighed, the type of sigh that fills your whole body.
“I was going off on Griffin one day, for being an asshole to some of the other associates, about pawning off his work to Claudia and she saw.”
“Griffin, I don’t care whose idea it was. You were the one to destroy his work, so you’re going to face the consequences.”
“It was just a prank, the entire document wasn’t supposed to be deleted.”
“You think tampering with another associate’s work is a prank? I hope when you go home tonight you think long and hard about who you wanna be as a man because as of right now, there isn’t going to be anything for you to come back to tomorrow. And you better pray to whatever you believe in because if there’s one person you don’t want to make an enemy out of, it’s me. Do you understand that?”
He clenched his jax, shoving his hands in his pockets. “yes.”
“You are going to be Louis’ personal associate.”“No, no way you can make me work for that man. He’s a total airhead.”“Yes, he is, now you two have something to talk about. You can bond over your selfish, outrageous egotistical behavior, it’ll be just like looking in a mirror.”
“Harvey I’m-”
“I don’t care what you are Griffin. You have no right to treat the other associates like that, especially Claudia. If I ever catch wind of you throwing your work load on her again so help me God I will make sure it is the last thing you do at this firm.”
If my point wasn’t clear enough by my words, the look I gave him would certainly do. He left my office without another word and I followed his movements all the way. But my eyes met Claudia’s. And they were wide and panicked. She quickly scurried away, head down and steps fast. She looked so afraid.
She wasn’t afraid of me was she? I mean, all I had done was rip Griffin a new one for being an asshole. And he deserved it, Claudia would never do something to deserve that kind of lashing.
“And so I promised her. I fucking promised her that I would never flip out on her and then I went and did exactly. God Donna… I am so fucked up.”
Her slim hand rubbed up and down my shoulder, but I only wanted it to be Claudia’s. I wanted her right next to me so I could go through all of this with her and explain that it wasn’t just some fling. Not to me. Never to me. I never wanted it to be temporary, she was… she’s it for me.
The familiar prick crept into my eyes, my nose, and the tears fell. Donna has only seen me cry a handful of times, but never over a girl.
But Claudia wasn’t just some girl. She wasn’t just some hookup or some prize to be won. She was Claudia Martin. My Claudia. The quiet, shy first year associate I had worked so hard to get out of her shell. It wasn’t just for my pleasure, I truly didn’t want to see her fall behind just because she couldn’t ask me a question.
I saw that look in her eye; hunger and determination. Just like mine. I wanted it to shine brighter than her smile. Which was equally as devastating as her work in the courtroom. But I just wanted her to feel comfortable around me and I didn’t know what else to do. She was like a frightened baby deer around me. A constant nervous wreck at the drop of my name. I didn’t want her to be afraid of me, I wanted nothing more than to be a safe space for her.
And maybe it’s just because I’m an idiot, but I’m realizing now that maybe I’m the one who needed the safe place. To just have someone to go to all the time. To share all of my proud moments and sneak little kisses and touches here and there.
I need Claudia. I need her.
Maybe I took it too far. Started at the wrong place. I should’ve offered to take her out to dinner instead of inviting her up for a drink in my office after her first case. I shouldn’t have done it so backwards, and it kills me that I’m only drawing that connection now. Why couldn’t I have thought of that earlier? She would’ve been so much better off without all the backwards, fucked up shit that I did.
But it was so nice. To finally have the one thing I have been craving for so long. She was so soft, and she was so sweet under my touch and I couldn’t help myself. As soon as I first kissed her it was end game. I didn’t want to kiss anyone else. I wouldn’t ever kiss anyone again, not the way I kissed Claudia. More than lust. More than just a desire.
Her lips on mine made my head go blank. I had an awful habit of having work thoughts creep their way into my head every once in a while. But never with her. Even when we were only talking about work, I couldn’t think about it. I only thought about her. About how brilliant she was, about how soft and warm and perfect her lips were on mine. About how she always made me feel at ease and comforted. I doubt she could ever make anyone afraid. Except maybe an opposing counsel.
If I ever had to face her in court… I know I’d lose. For one, I’d give her anything she wanted simply because she could put me on my knees with a single look. And normally I’d hate to let a woman have that much control over me, but for Claudia… I’d let her do whatever she wanted. And Second, she knows what to do. All the time. She never misses a beat, and is always listening. Even when you think she isn’t.
I am so in love with Claudia. I felt my heart crack open. My voice more or less does the same.
“Harvey…” “I am in love with her, Donna. And I think I have been for a long time.”
She was quiet, and a throat cleared. Mike was there in front of me, his hands in his pockets, a look of worry on his face. “Is everything alright?”
I saw Donna shake her head out of the corner of my eye. She didn’t say anything, but I knew she wanted to.
“I broke my promise to Claudia.” That was all I said. I heard his sharp inhale, and he came and sat in front of us. “God dammit Mike… I really messed up. I hurt the one person I couldn’t afford to and- and I don’t know what to do.”
“Go talk to her,” Mike said. “If you’re serious about how you feel about Claudia, then you need to go tell her that it was never… whatever you were doing before. She has anxiety, Harvey. She is going to let her brain tell her things about you that aren’t true. And you need to be there to soothe the fire before it does irreversible damage.” “Well, what do you and Rachel do when you get into an argument?”
“Harvey,” Donna said, “You aren’t Mike, and Claudia isn’t Rachel. Whatever they do might not work for you. You need to do what feels right for you and your relationship.” “I don’t know if you know this Donna, but I haven’t done something like this before. I don’t know how to talk to her. How to not make her anxious around me.” “We’ll help you,” Mike nods, as well as Donna. “We can come up with a plan but right now we’ve got a bigger problem on our hands.” What could be more devastating than hurting Claudia?
Nothing. The answer was nothing.
____
CLAUDIA’S POV
I toed off my shoes, leaving them in the growing pile by my front door. I sighed at it. Why couldn’t they just put themselves away?
My splitting headache was doing nothing to help either.
Before I could even get a thought about what I could cook for dinner, the doorbell rang. I swear to god if Greg was here asking me about those flowers on my wreath again I was going to smack him with it, throw it over his head and shove him back inside his apartment and-
“Claudia, it’s Mike. I know you’re here, can we talk?”
Mike? What the hell is he doing here?
I seriously debated giving my best housekeeper impression and deadbolting the door. But it was Mike, and he hadn’t done anything to deserve a cold shoulder. Oh god, what if Harvey was with him and I was getting set up? Oh shit.
“No, Harvey isn’t with me. I promise.”
I stalked to the door, pulling it open and glaring up at Mike. “The last time someone made me a promise I regretted it.” He just pressed his lips in a flat line. “What are you doing here, Mike?”
“I’m here on behalf of Harvey.” “Why?” “Because he’s worried about you.” Why is he worried about me? He made it very clear he didn’t give a shit about me. “He’s beating himself up over what he did.”
“Good,” that I didn’t restrain.
“Claudia, he is really shaken up right now. He didn’t mean to do what he did. Now, I’m not going to stand here and pretend I know all the details about what he did but-” “He used me, Mike. Plain and simple.” All I got was a raised eyebrow. “He told me he wanted to ‘build my confidence’ which I was actually naive enough to believe, and it led to my worst fucking nightmare. But he just got what he wanted, to get his dick wet and then was done with me.”
“Claudia, trust me, it wasn’t like that. Harvey would never use you like that. He wouldn’t dream of it, trust me.”
“Are you sure because it seems like that’s exactly what he did. He saw that I was hard working, manipulated me into working with him, and treated me like shit when I was just trying to find a solution to his goddamn problem. I have more self respect than that. To let him continue to get away with that.”
“Can I ask what he did?”
My throat closed, and my palms began to sweat. I knew my annoying blush was there by the way his eyes dipped to my neck.
“After I won my first case with him, he invited me up to his office for some drinks. Said something along the lines of wanting to get to know each other so I didn’t have to feel so nervous. So I went up, and one thing led to another and… I don’t know why I let it happen. I knew it would end badly. I can’t believe I let myself believe that he would be into me beyond anything other than his pure primal satisfaction. But he seemed so genuine and so caring. Like he genuinely wanted to help me, and some part of me obviously thought it was a good idea because it happened again. And again. And again. God, I sound like the biggest loser right now.” “No you don’t,” Mike gave me a soft smile. “If it means anything, those feelings weren’t one sided. I know it doesn’t mean much of anything coming from me but… Harvey is really really fucking sorry about what he did.”
I was physically shaking. Through my trembles, I managed to speak, despite my thoughts trying to shut me down. “It hurt so bad, Mike. I really like Harvey, and I thought he might feel the same way. I guess I was wrong. So… so wrong.”
“No, Claudia you’re not wrong. Harvey is a grade A asshole but he wouldn’t-”
“If there is any chance of Harvey sorting this out, you need to tell him to grow a set and tell me himself,” I have no idea where this confidence came from. “He needs to stop getting other people to do his job for him. If he can’t recognize that now, of all times, then… then I don’t think he deserves me.”
Mike blinked long, rubbing his fingers over his mouth. “Harvey didn’t ask me to come here.” “What?” What?
“Yeah,” he sighed. “I knew Harvey wouldn’t come tonight. I’m not sure he’ll come at all but… Claudia, he talks about you like I’ve never seen him talk before. He gushes over you to the point where it’s annoying. And when I went to go and talk to him about what our next move was for this case… Claudia, he was crying. He was sobbing with Donna in his office and-”
Good, I wanted to say. But it kind of crushed my soul. Harvey was crying over what he did to me.
“I’ve never seen him cry before,” Mike looked hurt, too. “He regrets what he said. I know he does.”
“I believe you.”
“Good,” he nods. “I don’t want to do his job for him and I think-”
“But that doesn’t mean I will forgive him for what he said,” and with that, I closed the door, locking it for the night.
_____
Saturday and Sunday were so agonizing. The last thing I wanted to do was go into an office after a weekend of anything but rest and relaxation. I was tired and hadn’t showered and needed some restful sleep. Not to be woken up three times a night by dreams of Harvey touching me. Those certainly didn’t help.
My mind kept replaying our first time together. Specifically when he said 'Oh, Claudia, you really are that innocent, aren’t you?’ Innocent and naive… just like he said that night. Who was I to think that Harvey would take any interest in me besides the fact that I was good at being a lawyer? I wasn’t special in any way, I think he just knew that I was easy to manipulate into doing what he needed.
There was no way in hell I’d ever do another thing for Havrey, the all powerful jackass, Specter again.
As I set my stuff on my desk, Griffin walked up. Great. Just great, what did this prick want?
“Hey umm… Hi Claudia,” he rubbed the back of his head. “I just- I’m sorry. About all the things I’ve done to you. You didn’t deserve it and I want you to know that you have always been six-times the lawyer I wish I could be. I was jealous and took it out on you. And I shouldn’t have so… I’m sorry.”
Did I just hear that right? Did Griffin Harper just apologize to me? What the fuck is going on?
“Oh,” great way to start, idiot. “Thank you, Griffin.”
He just gave me a short nod before scurrying away. Well, that was… unexpected. Certainly I couldn’t ever let us be friends, but it was nice to know he wasn’t my mortal enemy any longer.
I went about my business, plagued with thoughts and reminders of Harvey ever which way I went. Louis and Jessica sent me an email with some files to print out so I scanned them, proofed them, and sent them to the printing room.
God it sent a shiver down my spine to be back in here after he… don’t finish the thought don’t finish the thought-
“Hey, Claudia,” Donna snapped me out of my heated thoughts. “How are you?” “You can cut the bullshit now, Donna.”
She sighed, “it was a genuine question.” “And that was a genuine answer. I’m not in the mood.”
“Claudia-” “No, Donna. What Harvey did wasn’t okay, and I’m not going to stand here and pretend like what he did didn't hurt. Because it did and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it ever since. I don’t need you here to remind me.”
“Have you ever considered that Harvey may want to fix it?”
“No, Donna. I haven’t. And I’m not going to,” I stood my ground, squaring off my freshly printed papers before making more copies for Louis.
“What are you talking about?”
I scoffed. “Do you really think that I wouldn’t figure out what was going on?” “Again, what are you-” “I know Harvey just thinks that I am gullible and naive and easy to push around because he makes me nervous. And it’s true. Whenever I am near him I can’t keep myself composed and I’m sick and tired of being walked all over. I can’t believe I was stupid enough to let myself see otherwise, but I’m even more upset that you didn’t come clean and tell me.” “Claudia, no one is walking over you. And I didn’t know about any of this until you told me on Friday. Harvey came to you because he knew can rely on you and your abilities to get things accomplished. He wanted the chance to work with you and get you to trust him a little. You have to know that by now,” Donna was standing right next to me, blocking my way out.
“Maybe I do, but that doesn’t mean that I believe it. Donna, I am not some corporate power house that is gonna bring firms to their knees. Not like he does.” “Nobody does what Harvey does.” “And that’s my point,” I grit my teeth. “Harvey was trying to make me into a mini version of him, just like he did with Mike and it’s not what I want to be. Donna, I am not assertive. I am not reckless and willing to go behind peoples backs to get the job done. I like rules and regulations and the law. They are there so people abide by them, and Harvey, more often than not, doesn’t do that. Yes, I look up to him as a role model because I admire his tenacity. But that doesn’t mean I like or agree with the things he does.”
“And you think that I like it when he goes and cuts someone’s legs out from under them?”
“I didn’t say that. But that means you know how I feel. I can’t- I don’t… I don’t want to be around someone like that. It makes me feel like I’m suffocating. And worst of all he gave me his word that he wouldn’t lash out and treat me like the other associates. I cant believe that I was stupid enough to believe that Harvey would-“
Both of us stopped as someone pushed through the door.
Harvey…
“Donna,” Harvey’s mouth was pressed in a flat line. He jerked his head over his shoulder. Donna gave me a sympathetic look and turned on her heel. Where was she going?
“Wait, Donna don’t-” I whispered.
“You’ll be fine,” she gave me a firm look, patting my shoulder as she walked around Harvey. Oh my god… she set me up.
My heart felt like it was ripping out of my fucking chest. The last thing I needed right now was to be in an enclosed space with Harvey.
He stared at me, fussing with the cufflink on his shirt. “Claudia.” “I’m sorry, Mr. Specter, but I have to get these to Louis.” I tried to go around him, like Donna had, but he just let his body fall against the wall. Blocking the way. I couldn’t bring myself to look up at him and ask him to let me go.
“I want you to listen to me.” His voice was stern, in a demanding way, but not in a pissed off way.
“No, I am in a rush. Now if you’ll excuse me-”
“No,” he said with a shake of his head. “Come on, Claudia. Please just talk to me. I tried to call you but you didn’t answer and-.”
“I know, but I don’t want to talk to you. I want you to get out of my way so I can go do my job.”
“A little feisty today, aren’t we?” He pushed off his shoulder, taking a step towards me, I took one back. And another as he took one.
“No, I need to-” “Get those copies to Louis, I heard you,” Harvey acknowledged, but didn’t stop walking closer to me. My back eventually hit a copier and I almost fell over, but Harveys arms came to either side of my body, blocking me in. “And I don’t care.”
His face was inches from mine, chest inches from mine. I felt desperate for a breath. I forgot how to think, how to appear unphased. Everything he’s taught me has vanished from my mind. His eyes, much darker in this low over-head light, seemed to pierce my soul.
“What… What are you doing?” My voice was barely audible.
“I want you to know that I wouldn’t ever, ever, take advantage of you like that. I can’t even believe that you would think that. You think I enjoy making you a nervous wreck? Well, I don’t. It honestly makes me sick that even after all this time, you can’t trust me.”
“It’s not that I don’t trust you.”
“Then what is it? Because clearly I am not understanding,” his tone deepened, voice scratching in his throat.
I couldn’t- I didn’t know how to admit to him-
“I- I umm… Mr. Specter I can’t-”
“Stop calling me that, please, Claudia. Stop seeing me as your boss for one second and see me as literally anything else.”
I swallowed. Nothing went down. “Harvey… you are… you scare me more than anyone else I’ve ever met.” “Why?” his brows knit together. “What is it about me that makes you so afraid of me?”
“Everything.” I was shaking, visibly shaking in front of him. I looked anywhere but his eyes because I knew if I did I’d crack open and bleed my heart all over him.
His exhale was sharp enough to rustle the small hairs framing my face. “Claudia just-”
“I can’t be around you without feeling like I’m gonna drown in your presence.”
He was stunned silent for a beat too long. “What is that supposed to mean?”
“Harvey I told you I didn’t want to-”
“Please, Claudia, tell me why you are so afraid of me.” He was begging. Begging for me to explain.
“Because I know that if I let myself think for one fucking second that you actually like working with me I’ll drop my guard around you. And I cannot afford to do that because there are things I keep locked inside that I would rather take to my grave than ever let someone know.”
“And what, you don’t think I’m equally as terrified to have these feelings for you?” “Not like mine.” Harvey gave me a very concerned glance. “There, you asked me to tell you. Please just let me go.”
“No, not until you tell me what is haunting you so much you’re willing to let it eat you alive rather than just let it out for once in your life. Look, I get that you’re a private person, and it’s hard for you to trust people, but that doesn’t mean you need to keep everything bottled inside and let it rot you from the inside out-”
“For the love of guard Harvey it’s you,” I shouted, far louder than I meant to. “It is you that is driving me insane. I cannot go a single moment of my day without thinking about you. I am terrified that you are going to see right through me and figure out that every thought that goes on inside my head has to do with you because for some reason, known only by some sick and twisted higher power, I want you to see me the way I see you. I want you to want me as much as I want you and-”
I stopped because I ran out of air. And then it hit me so hard I saw stars. What the fuck have I just done? My vision began to black out, my heart beating too fast for my lungs to keep up with.
Harvey had backed up a step, mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.
I was going to throw up, I was sure of it. I tried to speak, but my mind had melted and oozed out of my ears.
I ran, I left the copies on the floor; at some point I dropped them. And ran. His hand caught my elbow and I shrieked, whipping around just as Harvey slammed the door closed, pinning me, yet again.
“You do not get to drop that ball and run away,” his voice had a darkness I’ve never heard. “Claudia, in what way do you want me?”
Frozen. My mind was utterly dysfunctional and useless. I couldn’t think, I’m surprised I remembered how to breathe. God his eyes…
“Claudia, please answer me.” Now his voice was tender, filled with warmth. His fingers tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. “You have to tell me in what way now or I’m… you have to tell me.”
“Why does it matter? I've already ruined everything I’ve had going for me.” I was meek with my words. Wimpy. Cowardice.
“Because it matters to me.”
“I want you, I want Harvey.”
“As in you want me, and not as your boss, Claudia?” He clarified. I had to shut my eyes, to turn my cheek to him so I wouldn’t see his reaction when I nodded in confirmation. “Fucking hell…”
“I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry. Just… just let me go and I can hand Jessica my letter of resignation right now and you never have to see me again-”
“Are you out of your mind?” Harvey’s caramel eyes were wide. “Claudia, I don’t want you to go. Not for one fucking second. Why do you even have a letter drafted?”
“But I just-”
His fingers gripped my chin, forcing me to look up at him when I spoke. God dammit… Harvey’s thump caressed my lip, pulling it down and watching it spring up. Slowly, ever so slowly, he dipped it inside my mouth. I couldn’t help the soft noise that startled out of me.
“Claudia… you have no idea how much I have been praying to hear you say those words. I have been driving myself out of my mind with what to say. How to say it and I- I don’t know how to tell you everything I’ve been wanting to. For weeks now.
“I have been thinking of you nonstop. I keep making up excuses and things to come see you during the day. I want nothing more than to get the chance to treat you right, and I want you to want it too. I promised myself I wouldn’t make a move unless you made one first because I knew how petrified you were of me. I can’t- I won’t have you be afraid of me if we do this.
“But I fucked up. I got ahead of myself and I didn’t go in the direction that I should've. I should've just asked you out to dinner, been a true gentleman rather than selfish. You have no idea how long I have been practicing what to say. I just made everything so much worse. And I wish like hell I could take it all back and do it all again because I am so so so fucking sorry for breaking my promise.”
I stared up at him, at the tears spilling over his lashes, and the flush on his cheeks. His lip quivered. He looked so vulnerable. So open and honest. Every part of me wanted to take it to heart, but that voice in the back of my head was telling me not to believe it.
“Harvey I-”
“Please, Claudia,” Harvey knelt to the ground, sitting back on his heels. “I will do whatever you want to gain your trust back. Anything… anything. But I can’t let you walk away from me. I want a real chance to make you happy, to give you every part of me. I will do or say or answer whatever you want but please do not leave me. If you truly don’t want me, tell me, and we never have to talk again. I will make it like I was never here in the first place if you told me to, but I don't think you want that. And I don’t want it either.”
Harvey was on his knees. Begging me to open my heart up to him.
“Please don’t make me regret this, Harvey…”
He let out a breath, and a smile accompanied the tears that fell down his face. He reached for my hand, and I let him grab it. His fingers were warm and smooth in mine, familiar and comforting as he gently tugged me towards him.
“I'm so sorry, Claudia. I will regret nothing more than the words I said to you. But I want to fix it, I want to be better. Not just for you, but for myself. But you are what makes me want to be better. I need to learn to control myself and take a page out of my own book to make that happen.”
Harvey rested his head on my stomach, and I let my fingers thread through his spiky hair.
“But I don’t want you to be afraid of me anymore. I can’t- I won’t let you be afraid to ask me a question. I want to be there for you, work related or not, but I can’t do it if you don’t meet me halfway. I do remember you making me a promise back, to not see me as a monster.”
My hand stopped, and he looked up. I wanted to agree, but I was still upset, and he must’ve seen that.
“Okay, that was a bad time to bring that up.”
“Yup.”
Harvey huffed a laugh, standing back up. His smile was sweet, his finger gentle as it swept some hair away from my face.
“You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, Claudia Olivia Martin.”
“How did you find out my middle name?”
“Donna,” he smiled wider. I just rolled my eyes. “I don’t really know how to do any of this, so I asked her for some help. I knew I had to do it myself. I just didn’t really know where to start and she’s… well, she’s Donna.” “Yes, she is Donna,” I smiled up at him. “But it’s gonna take me more than that to convince me.”
“Oh I have like seven other things lined up and ready to go. If you'd like to hear them. First, you are the most stunning, breathtaking, gorgeous woman I have ever met in my life. Second, I admire every part of you. All your good habits, your bad, your anxious thoughts and brave approach to life. Because they all make you you. Three, I am the biggest fucking idiot. For starting all of this off wrong, for yelling at you. For leading you to believe that I just wanted to get in your pants.”
“You’re also an asshole. A bit of a coward and a bitch. Did I say that you were an asshole?”
“Okay okay,” he placed his hands on my hips and I let him, doing nothing to hide the giggle that bubbled out. “Yes, I am all of those things. And, for the record, I did want to get in your pants, just not that way.”
“Of course you did, who could resist all of this?” My heart sped up when he looked at me over, a huge grin spreading his cheeks wide and bright.
“Looks like you’ve gained a little confidence, huh?”
“Well, I did have a not so awful teacher. That was before he betrayed me.” “Are you gonna stop rubbing salt into the wound?”
I faked a ponder, “Nope.”
“Claudia,” he pressed a tentative kiss to my cheek, then gauged my response before placing one on the other. “Olivia,” another kiss. “Martin.” He kissed my forehead, then the tip of my nose. “I will never be able to take back what I said, but I hope you find it in your heart to give me a second chance. Even good people are great at making bad decisions. I know I can be a better man, and I know you know that too. Just one,” a kiss to my left cheek, “More,” right cheek, “Chance.”
His lips hovered over mine, waiting for permission before he pressed them into mine. My heart was beating so fast. So strong, all because of him. All for him.
My eyes met his, “Okay, Harvey.”
Those devastating eyes ignited. His smile grew so wide I got lost in it with my own. I was pressed flat to him, my hands on his shoulders, his hands on my lower back. My ears were buzzing with my pulse and I hoped he felt how fast it was. Who knew Harvey had such a way with words? I wondered how long he practiced all of this in the mirror. Who knows, maybe he was secretly a hopeless romantic and-
“Claudia,” Harvey snapped me out of my daydream.
“Hmm?” “Please tell me I can kiss you.”
Oh. Right.
“And what if I say no?”
“Then I won’t.”
“And if I say yes?” “I’ll make sure it is the best damn kiss you’ve ever and will ever have.”
Sounds pretty good to me. I pressed up on my toes, arms wrapping around his neck, and finally let our lips say hello. It had been too long, It felt so right, so perfect. And I realized it felt like all the other times we’ve kissed; I didn’t want to kiss anyone else. I wanted to kiss Harvey. Harvey goddamn Specter.
I should find out what his middle name is from Donna to surprise him.
“Come over tonight,” he blurted out.
“What?” “Come over, let me cook something for you. We can make it our first date. A real date. Let me start this off on the right foot. Unless tonight is too soon and you need more time to heal and process or-”
“Just stop talking,” I literally put my fingers over his mouth. “I’d love to come over for dinner, Harvey.”
If I hadn’t been in his arms I’m sure he’d jump up and down out of excitement. He kissed me again, and again, and again. The slight stubble on his chin tickled my neck enough for me to tuck down into my shoulders when he kissed below my ear.
“Hey, Claudia, I just want to make sure- oh. Well, this seems to be going well,” Donna had a proud smile on her face, arms crossed over her chest.
“It is,” Harvey beamed down, never taking his eyes off of me.
“Good, I’m glad to hear it.”
“How much of this was your idea?” I asked.
“I suggested he get a horse and carriage to surprise you on your way out but he knew you wouldn’t want a grand gesture,” She said. “So I think that should say it well enough as to who came up with all the ideas.” When I looked back at him, he had a flush to his cheeks, and hid his grin.
“Wow, Harvey, I’m impressed.” “Well,” he shrugged. “I don’t know… I wanted it to be authentic and special. Something that you would take to heart and genuinely appreciate. So it’s the best I could come up with over the weekend because if I didn’t do it soon I was going to explode.”
“Seriously, Claudia. This idiot wouldn’t leave my house for two days. I had to kick him out so he could get a shower and change. Did you even sleep?” “You haven’t slept?” He shook his head. “Harvey, what- okay. We need to do our dinner another day because if you try to cook you might set your house on fire and that would-” “Nope, too bad. I’m fine, really Claudia. I can handle making dinner. I’ll leave early and take a nap if that would make you feel better.” “Yes, it would,” I sighed out, looking back at Donna who had a look that meant trouble. “What?” “You guys are adorable.”
I blushed. “Oh, wait! Before you go, what’s Harvey’s middle name? I mean, he went to you for mine so it’s only fair…”
“Don’t you dare,” Harvey pointed at Donna who all but melted the Wicked Witch of the West with her smirk.
“Reginald.”
“Reginald?” I repeated. “Seriously?”
“It’s a family name, alright?” He defended. “Now, if you two will excuse me I have a very important dinner to plan for an even more important girl. Donna, can you-” “Already cleared your schedule.”
“Remind me to give you a raise.” “Oh I’ve already written a bonus check, it just needs your signature.” “I’m surprised you didn’t forge it,” I snickered.
“I would’ve but having Harvey do it makes it that much more satisfying.”
Harvey just shook his head, but smiled at us both. “I’ll see you tonight, is seven good?” “Sounds perfect,” I nodded, relishing in his warmth as he pressed one more kiss to the top of my head before leaving.
“So,” Donna swayed on her feet. “I take it that things went well?” “Yeah, yeah it did. I was surprised, today has been so weird. Even Griffin apologized to me.” “Griffin? Really?” “Yeah,” I followed in step behind her towards the bullpen. “He genuinely apologized to me. It was so unexpected. Now this… I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t dreading this happening. But it turned out way better than I expected so I can’t complain. I need to stop expecting the worst case scenario all the time and believe that I can handle anything that comes at me.”
“Now that sounds like true growth and confidence,” Donna slung her arm over my shoulder. “And definitely something Harvey couldn’t have taught you.” “No, he didn’t. That was all on my own.”
___
As I packed up to head home for the day, my stomach was on fire with nerves about tonight. Not nerves, excitement.
“Hey, Claudia,” Griffin caught up to me right before the elevator closed. “Do you want to join us for drinks tonight?”
I just smirked. “Sorry, Griffin. I can’t, I have a date with Harvey Specter.” And I let the door shut before he could get on.
____
This building. For fucks sake his front door cost more than what I make in a year, probably. The door man had given me a bit of a side eye when I asked to be let up to Harvey. Well, here I was.
The bottle of wine in my hand wasn’t getting any colder as I paced outside of his apartment. Was I making this a bigger deal than it needed it to be? Most definitely.
I knocked.
Harvey opened it a few moments later, a smug look on his face. “I was wondering how long you were going to just stand there.”
God dammit. The heat rose up my neck and I looked away. “Just shut up and take the wine.”
He chuckled, plucking it from my grasp before stepping aside to let me in. I gazed up and into his hallway, following it down to the kitchen. Woah… holy windows. The already set sun lit up the sky with blues and purples, making all of this feel very cinematic.
“You didn’t need to bring this, Claudia,” Harvey smiled nonetheless.
“I just- I don’t know, isn't that what people do when they’re invited over?”
“Why are you still so nervous?”
Right to it, I guess. “What makes you say that?” “Well,” he sighed, shoving his hands in his pockets. He was wearing all black. He looked… too good for his own good. Or mine for that matter of fact. “For starters, you’ve clearly been running your fingers through your hair. Second, I’ve watched you fiddle with that string on your sleeve at least four times now.”
My fingers ceased their motion. I had been toying with it. “I like to keep my hands busy.”
“I call it a nervous habit.”
“Did you invite me here for dinner or just to pick on me for being anxious?”
“You have no reason to be anxious here,” he crept closer, taking my hand in his. Harvey gently kissed the back of my fingers. “There is no one here to watch, no prying eyes to hide from. It’s just me, Claudia.”
“And that is precisely what makes me nervous,” I did let a laugh bubble up. “But, you’re right. I guess there is no reason to be so… terrified.”
“Good,” he smiled, placing his hands on my hips. I let mine fall around his shoulders. “Dinner will be ready in a few minutes.” I turned to look behind me, a few pots and a pan of vegetables on the stove. Harvey’s hands still lingered on my sides as I peered over to look inside.
“I didn’t know the great Harvey Specter could cook,” I jabbed, making him roll his eyes playfully. “It looks lovely, thank you.”
“Told you, there’s more to the name than the title it comes with.”
From the table, I watched him plate the stir fry dish and bring it over. I was starving, and I made sure to eat my lunch a little later so I wouldn’t be ravenous by the time this dinner rolled around. I wasted no time taking a forkful and practically inhaling it.
“I’ll take that as a good sign?”
I nodded, “It’s amazing. Where did you learn to cook like this?” “Here and there. My brother owns a bar and restaurant back home, we used to like to cook together all the time.” “I didn’t know you had a brother,” I tilted my head. “That’s amazing, though. Glad you put those skills to good use.”
“Do you have any siblings?”
I hummed, “Yeah I have two brothers. I’m the baby of the family.”
“Am I going to have to win their trust one day?”
My laugh echoed through the spacious dining room, “No, they’re pretty cool. Vince, my oldest brother, is married, has two kids who are in college. My other brother, Caleb, is the one you’ve gotta watch out for. He’s my twin and very vocal about the men in my life, especially when he doesn’t think they’re good enough for me.”
“I see,” Harvey gave me a look I knew all too well.
“Yeah, he can be a pain in my ass sometimes. But I love him, he always stood up for me when I was too afraid. Whether someone was picking on me in school or tried to get one up on me at a bar, he was always there. He’s just protective of me, they both are, but Caleb… he’s always had my back.” “It’s good to have those types of people on your side,” Harvey’s smile was so bright.
For about an hour we ate and had dessert. I don’t know how, he probably asked Donna, but he had my absolute favorite chocolate cake. Coated in a thick butter cream, it practically melted in my mouth. I wasn’t shy about telling him how delicious it was.
“I could marry this cake,” I knew I was being dramatic, but I didn’t care. “If I could take this cake, and mold it in the shape of a man, I would.”
Harvey grinned, looking from the cake on his plate, back up to me as I spooned another mouthful. He dipped his finger in the frosting and swiped it across his cheek. I blushed, so hard, and he just laughed and laughed.
“You think you’re funny, huh?” I had to put my face in my hands.
“I do, actually. Why don’t you come over here and clean it off for me,” Harvey spoke dangerous words. I raised my eyebrow in question, but he merely scooted his chair back in response, palms turned upward.
Now or never, I thought.
I stood, my bare feet padding quietly to Harvey. This is where I had confidence. Could use his own game against him. Because up until this point, all Harvey knows about me is that I am a nervous wreck in front of him.
The cards have no longer been dealt in his favor.
I swung my leg over his, perching on his thigh. I took my thumb and ran it across his face, collecting the decorative icing off his cheek, licking my thumb clean. His eyes tracked my movements, especially when I stuck out my tongue and showed him the mess.
His throat bobbed, and his eyes darkened.
“Where did that shy, blushing Claudia go?” Harvey’s voice sent a chill down my spine.
“Away, for now,” I smirked. “There are plenty of versions of Claudia you haven’t met before.”
“And who exactly is this version?” He asked.
“That depends,” I huffed. “Are you going to let me have what I want or are you going to make me earn it?”
Harvey’s hands crept up my thighs, cupping my ass gently. “You’re gonna let me choose?”
“You better choose carefully.”
“And why is that?”
“Because,” I said. “You can either let me take what I want, or try to take what you want. But I’ll let it be known, that isn’t possible. You won’t be able to resist me long enough to uphold that promise.”
“Oh, you think I’m that easy?” Harvey countered, tightening his hold on my body. I let out a whine, enticing him into my game further.
“I don’t know, Harvey.” I ran my hand down his chest, grinding back and forth on his thigh. I leaned close to his ear, “I can be your every fantasy or your worst nightmare.”
I pulled away from his body, taking a few steps back and towards another hallway. I assumed that’s where his bedroom was, and judging by the screeching of the chair against the floor, I was heading in the right direction.
The first door I pushed open was, thankfully, the right room. His clothes were hung up neatly in the closet on the opposite side of the room, the city below shining onto the walls. Harvey shut the door quickly, turning on a lamp beside his bed.
Harvey grinned like the devil and crushed his mouth to mine. I didn’t waste any time letting his tongue tangle with mine. Harvey kissed like the god he was, like a true emperor. He tasted like pure sin, like the cake we were just sharing.
My hands went to the buttons on his shirt, fitting them through the tiny holes and pushing it off his shoulders.
“Mmm wait, sweetheart,” Harvey broke our lips apart. “I don’t wanna do it this way tonight. Let me take care of you. Please.”
Well, when he sounded like that, who was I to resist him? I let him lay me down, his body between my legs as he placed the most tender kiss on my lips. He moved down my chest, slowly lifting my shirt and placing his mark on my stomach. Up my chest, and my neck.
“You are so beautiful, Claudia. And I can’t believe I get to have all of you to myself. I can’t wait to make you feel so good.”
I sighed out, letting my eyes close as he explored my body. He was forward with his choices, but he wasn’t ever harsh. He was so soft. So loving and so caring. No one had ever made me feel equally nervous or excited as Harvey did. But now… I wasn’t afraid of him. I don’t think I could ever again.
“Is it okay if I take these off?” “I wasn’t sure you knew how to ask for permission,” I giggled. He just scowled, but I nodded. “Of course, Harvey. Do whatever you want.” “Don’t-” he swallowed. “Don’t say things like that when I am trying to be sweet and nice to you.”
“I think you’re forgetting that I like it when you manhandle me,” I smiled up to the ceiling before looking at him between my legs. “Sorry, carry on.”
He laid a not so gentle tap to the inside of my thigh before removing my skirt. The chill of the air spread goosebumps across my skin, even more when he placed kisses from my ankle to my hips bone.
“God I could spend all day between your legs. They’re so perfect,” he praised, spreading them wide so he could fit his torso between them. “You’re so fucking hot, Claudia.” I flushed, beet red, and turned away from him. But his fingers brought me right back.
“You don’t get to be shy now, sweetheart. Not tonight, let me see all of you.”
“I’m all yours Harvey.” Our eyes locked, and the sparks flew. His lips were on mine, hurried, but not starving. It was intense and passionate and everything I could’ve asked it to be. He lifted my shirt over my head and slipped off my bra from behind. Thankfully his chest was warm against mine.
From one second to the next, Harvey swooped me on top of him and rolled, tugging the sheet with him. When they were freed, he laid me back down and put them over his body.
“Oh, guess I should get these off,” he grinned, pushing his jeans down his thighs, his briefs going with them. Man… what a sight to behold. Harvey wasn’t shredded, but it was clear his boxing habits kept him in good shape.
There was something about him that just made me want to crumble and fold.
Harvey’s lips were hot as they moved all over me, nipping and biting and leaving tiny marks here and there. Before he could lose all his resolve, he reached over to his bedside table and plucked a foil packet from a little jar. Classy.
“Doing okay, sweetheart?” He smoothed down my hair.
“Yes, Harvey. I’d be better if…” I locked my legs around his middle, pulling him to me. “You just got on with it.” “Such an impatient little thing,” his grin gave away his facade.
“Oh please, don’t act like you’re not craving this as much as I am.” “You’re right,” he smirked, lining up and pushing all the way in. a low groan escaped his flushed lips. “But I know you can’t get enough of this.”
I breathed heavily, clinging to him. His hips stirred, slowly pulling back, and sinking all the way in. Harvey rested his head on my shoulder, tongue making patterns on my ignited skin. I tugged at his hair, lips working on their own to find all his sweet spots.
I raked my nails up his back, not missing when his hips slowed and he moaned. So I did it again. His thumb found its way between my legs and circled around where I wanted it most. He wasn’t kidding when he said he was going to take care of me.
Harvey took his time, making sure that I was feeling good and got what I wanted. This was so different from the feverish moments we’ve had in the office. But it was somehow way better. Well, it could use one thing.
As he laced our fingers together, I moved our hands up. He stopped kissing me for a moment to give me a puzzled look. But I slipped his grip from mine and placed his hand on my throat.
“I don’t need you to go all ‘sir’ on me tonight, but just give me this. Please.” I did the best I could with my eyes to lure him in, and it worked. It tightened, but it was never tight. It was just there, a reminder of the part of him I was going to get to see whenever I wanted.
He started to let his control slip, and I knew it was hard for him to be so gentle. But I appreciated it so much. I let some of my control slip as well, just because I wanted to rile him up. His breath quickened, and so did his hips. His thumb was relentless between my legs and I could feel my high approaching.
“Come on, sweetheart, let go. Make yourself feel so good for me.” There it was, the Harvey that kept me up at night. That has plagued my dreams for the past few days.
I met his hips with mine, and my release crashed over me when I wasn’t expecting it. I shook in his arms as he continued to move, chasing his own time.
“Fuck, Harvey,” I gasped. “Let go for me, you did such a good job making me feel good.”
He cursed, tucking his head down momentarily before crushing his mouth to mine, not shy about how I was making him feel. His body went rigid, and the praise streamed out of his mouth.
“Fuck fuck Claudia… god you feel so good. You are so perfect for me. So soft and warm.”
My lips would surely be bruised tomorrow morning, but I didn’t care. All I cared about was being here with Harvey. About carrying him through the aftershocks of his release. I rubbed at his back, kissed his neck and cheeks. When he lifted his head, he had this dreamy look on his face.
“You look so hot,” he ran his thumb across my cheek, bringing me in for another kiss. “Thank you for giving me a second chance.”
“I’m glad I decided to do it. I can’t decide which Harvey I like more. This one or the one who calls me sweetheart.”
“Did I not call you sweetheart tonight?” “You did, but not the way you do when I call you ‘sir’.”
“Ahh, I see,” he smirked. “As much as I would like to think that I could flip a switch right now, I don’t want to spoil this moment with you.”
“If you don’t want to spoil it, then you should take us into the shower.”
And then I was in the shower. Hot water streaming between us from the rain shower head. His hands were soft as he kneaded my body; they particularly felt nice on my ass, especially when he added his lips to the mix.
“You are so amazing, Claudia. I cannot stress that enough.” “You’re doing an amazing job,” I smiled, kissing him. “You’re not so bad yourself.”
“I know,” he grinned, smacking my ass before lathering up his hands and running them through my hair. It was hard to not fall asleep standing up. “Sweetheart, if you keep making those noises it is going to be very very hard to not take you right here.”
My eyes flew open, his very apparent arousal pressing into my backside. Well, alright then. Go Claudia, you sexy son of a bitch!
“And who’s to say that I wouldn’t want that?” “I am trying to hold back, you know. I wanted tonight to be different, to be special. I didn’t want it to be heated and rough and-”
“Harvey,” I turned, pressing a hand to his chest. “I know.” “I wanted to ‘make love’ or whatever they call it in those cheesy romance books you read.”
I laughed out loud, picturing Harvey curled up on the couch with a book in his hand, a fire in the fireplace. “Nobody says ‘making love’ any more, babe.” “Babe?” “Yeah, babe. I figured you wouldn’t like sugar, or honey bun, or baby for that matter.”
“Don’t make me sound older than I am, please. For fucks sake I passed the Bar when you were in highschool.”
“It doesn’t bother me all that much anymore,” I admitted, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I thought it would, but it doesn’t really make a difference to me.”
“Good, I’m glad it doesn’t freak you out,” he smiled. “And, for the record, I hope it doesn’t freak your folks out.”
“It won’t.”
He lifted up a brow, “How could you know?” “Because I already told them about you.” I felt him go tight. “Relax. They knew who you were already and they couldn’t have been more excited that I found a caring, respectful, well respected man.”
He let out a sigh, “and your brothers?” “They don’t know yet, but don’t worry about them, either. It will be okay.”
“When did you become the consoling one? It’s weird.” “I know, right?” I giggled. When I looked into his eyes, there was a fondness to his gaze. He was looking at my body, but not in a way he had before. “Why are you looking at me like that?” Harvey shrugged, “I just love you so much, Claudia. And I am so proud of how far you’ve come in just these first couple of months.”
My heart hitched in my chest, then beat so wildly I wasn’t entirely sure it didn’t burst through my skin and land in his hands. I froze. Mike had been right. Harvey wasn’t just some cock, high strung New York attorney that couldn’t decipher his own feelings. He seemed incredibly in tune with his emotions and that couldn’t be more attractive.
I just kissed him. I didn’t know what else to do other than kiss him. He had to take a step back to support our combined weight. Harvey’s arms were strong around my waist, his lips reassuring and just as firm as his grip.
“I love you too, Harvey. So fucking much.”
____
The comforters pulled tight, Harvey's body pressed behind mine… I couldn’t think of a more relaxing way to end the night. Especially after I slipped to my knees in the shower and showed him just how much I loved him.
“You don’t know how long I’ve been dreaming about having you in my arms one night. All night long.”
I hummed, scooting back so his chest met my back, his legs molding with mine. “I may have fantasized about it once or twice as well.” “Have you now?” “Again, there are several versions of Claudia you haven’t met before.” “And I look forward to coaxing every single one of them out with my mouth… my tongue… my hands… my-”
“Tomorrow,” I whispered, letting my eyes lull shut. “We can do it all again tomorrow. On the table, on the counter, on the couch-” “You’re not helping the situation here, you know,” he tugged at my half-dried hair. “Don’t get me started, sweetheart. I just might not let you get any sleep tonight.”
I clenched my thighs together. This was going to be such a sweet, tortuous game to play. And I got to play it every day. Every night, if I wanted. He wouldn’t be able to resist me. I had a secret weapon.
“Whatever you say, sir.”
His hand was wrapped around my throat, forcing my head to turn back to look at him. He clicked his tongue, eyes more awake than they had been a few minutes ago. “Oh sweet, innocent little Claudia. I guess you haven’t learned your lesson yet. It’s okay, I’d be happy to give you more instruction. I think I recall saying that eventually I would break you down over and over again until all you could remember was my name and how to breathe. Well, sweetheart. What do you think? Because I think you can still form coherent thoughts. I think it’s time we change that, don’t you?” I nodded, “Yes.”
His grip tightened and tightened and tightened. “Yes what?”
I smirked, climbing into his lap and taking him into my hand. “Yes, sir.”

Fight PT 5 *Edited*
This was HIGHLY requested. Hope y'all like it! :) Collaboration with @heaartzforcupid
Tumblr media
I bolted and got to my car before the boys caught up. I drove home quickly, locking all the doors and windows. I was freaking the fuck out. I had to tell someone! But I promised that I wouldn't. What if they kill me next? And I'm no liar. I decided that I wouldn't tell anyone about what happened. I just didn't understand why they killed him. When I went to the hospital, the injuries weren't even that bad!
My mom and sister got home and I ate dinner with them. I think my sister realized that something was up because she kept looking at me weird. That night when I went to sleep, I could've sworn I heard my mom and sister talking about me.
The next morning, I begged and pleaded with my mom to let me stay home because I felt sick. She just wouldn't have it. "No. That's my final answer. If you still feel yucky tomorrow, then you don't have to go but today you have a quiz in English. Go get ready hun." I groaned loudly. "Fine!" I walked off, got ready for school, grabbed some breakfast, and drove to school, dreading seeing the boys. They were gonna be so mad that I bolted.
My first class I had with all the boys but only Robin showed up. He sat next to me right before the bell rang. He slipped me a note after the teacher started talking. The note said, "get your fucking ass to the bathroom after I go. Understood?" I was shaking. I'm just not gonna go. "No" I wrote back. "Y/N. I'm not fucking kidding. We'll be even madder if you don't come" I looked at him and nodded. What can I say? I don't want to die!
He raised his hand and asked if he could go to the bathroom. 5 minutes later, I did the same. I went to the 2nd floor bathroom where he said to meet him at. All the boys were in there when I got there. They all stood menacing around the room. "So Princesa, why'd you run?" Robin said. "I don't know." I said looking down at the ground. "You don't know? That's the fucking answer you're going with?" "What am I supposed to say? I ran because you guys are fucking murderers!" I yelled. All of a sudden Billy went into the biggest stall and Vance shoved me in there.
"Sit down, peach." He said. "Why should I?" "Fine, don't sit. We all love you very much but you're getting on our nerves." "YOUR NERVES? YOUR FUCKING NERVES?" He kissed me on the mouth and walked out while Bruce walked in. "Sweetheart, please don't tell anyone what you saw. Then we'll all have to leave you alone again." Bruce said, kissed me and walked out. Bruh. I'm bouta have a damn panic attack. I just got kissed by two goddamn boys in 2 minutes.
Then Finney came in. "Hey baby. Come here." He said, sitting on the floor and pulling me to sit between his legs. "I love you more than anything in the entire galaxy baby. I don't want to leave you." Kissed me, then left. What the hell. I'm starting to feel like a damn slut man. Robin came in, pulled me down to straddle his lap. "I love you so much, Hermosa. You won't tell anyone what you saw yesterday right. And you won't pull that stunt again. Understand?" I was still in a daze so I mumbled "Yes." "Good girl, Princesa." He said, kissing me then leaving. Last who came in was Vance. "Did you listen to them Dollface? We love you so much. We did it for you! And when you run away from us or call us murderers then it makes us so sad. Ok, doll? Lets make everyone happy." Kissed me then left.
They all went to class while I sat on the bathroom floor in pure shock. They all loved me? They did it for me? Snap out of it Y/N. They're manipulating you. Just play along for now until you get a chance alone. But that wasn't gonna happen. Finney and I were in the first class together. Then as I was going to math, Finney passed me off to Griffin, who had the class with me. At lunch, they didn't let me leave their sight. I wanted to eat with Donna that day so they were pissing me off by not letting me. Next class I had was English with all of them. Last class was Spanish, which I had with Billy.
The next day went the same. I never realized it but every class I have has at least one of them in it. First class the next day was chemistry with Vance. Not that he was paying any attention. Then I had history with Robin. Then I had art with Finney and fucking psychology with Bruce! I never got a second alone unless I was at home. It was infuriating! I was so overwhelmed! And on top of that, everyone was calling me a slut and a murderer!
"Wasn't she just with Vance? Why is she with Robin now?" "What a slut whore." Bethany and her friends spoke to each other loudly. My face turned red as I stared at my desk. "Did you hear that she was the last one to see Moose?" "She must've murdered or kidnapped him!" "Y/N Y/L/N please come to the office for questioning. Y/N Y/L/N please come to the office for questioning." Huh?
Ooh. Another cliffhanger. A longer one because I fell asleep so I posted late. Let me know in the comments if you want PT 6! Love y'all! :) -Kaylin

Pride, Not Prejudice
Requested by Anonymous: 10th Doctor x chubby!reader, Victorian age. Donna knows Doctor and reader have it bad for each other but will never say it, besides the Doctor could have anyone why her? so she helps reader get done up to fluster the Doctor
A/N: Anon I LOVED writing this one, cuz you KNOW Donna would be the strongest supporter of a thiccer/not 'conventionally' attractive reader GOING OUT THERE AND GETTING WHAT THEY WANT! Hope you enjoy!
~~Requests for Morpheus and the Doctor (9-13) are open!~~
Tumblr media
“Right!” the Doctor yelled, flipping a lever with a dramatic flourish. “London, 1888! End of the social season.” You laughed and a beaming grin spread across your face- you had begged and pleaded and made puppy dog eyes for what seemed like an eternity before the Doctor finally agreed to take you and Donna to a proper Victorian ball. You and Donna giggled at each other, earning a look of slight confusion from the Doctor.
Every adventure with him only made your heart beat faster, your hands sweatier, your wonder greater. He was a man like no other, technically not even a man in the traditional Earth sense. You adored him, cared for him, admired him, wanted to be like him… all the while he barely seemed to notice you, beyond someone to look out for, someone to temporarily fill the silence. Whether it was love or just an infatuation, you couldn’t risk disturbing the current harmony that existed between you, the Doctor, and Donna Noble, a companionship whose death you knew you’d mourn as if a close friend. No, best to content yourself with what you had.
The Time Lord hit a few more buttons and peeked at the screen. “Festivities officially start in an hour, there are clothes in the wardrobe, near the back. Go on then, off you pop!” A tiny smile touched his face as he shooed you out of the console room. Donna grabbed your hand and dragged you out behind her, the two of you still giggling like schoolgirls as you ran down the hall.
Once secluded in the wardrobe, you navigated through the maze of clothing racks until you found the Victorian section, the racks squeezed between containers stacked taller than you full of who knew what. As you flipped through the hangers, eyes peeled for something in your size, Donna said conspiratorially, “So, when are you gonna tell him?”
“What?” You had only caught the last half of her sentence, too focused on holding a dress up to your body to see if it would fit. You had a hunch what the first half had been, and the look Donna threw your way confirmed it: she saw right through you.
“Don’t be daft, when are you gonna tell him how much you like him?” Now it was your turn to give Donna a look. Come on.
“Great idea,” you replied sarcastically, a few dresses in your arms to try on. “Pour my heart out to him, just plop it in his hands so he can throw it on the floor.”
“Bollocks,” she shot back, pointing a finger at you as you went behind a dressing screen. “He’d be a nutter to refuse you!”
Your self-control cracked. You stepped out from behind the screen in just your bra and underwear, your frustration overpowering your bone-deep self-consciousness. “Donna, be realistic here. Why would he want a girl like me?” You gestured to the entirety of your body. “I mean, look at me!”
You were under no illusions about your body: too many curves in all the ‘wrong’ places, larger and thicker and taller than human society had ever considered beautiful or desirable. You had made your peace with it: hopeful that there was someone out in the universe who would find you beautiful and maybe even sexy, fall head over heels for you, love and appreciate you, flaws and all… but doubtful you’d ever meet them.
Donna approached you with compassion softening her face. She knew exactly how it felt to not be desired for the ‘flaw’ of being ‘too much.’ She placed gentle hands on your shoulders and gave an encouraging squeeze. “Exactly,” she replied softly. “Look at you! Who wouldn't want someone like you?” A mischievous, scheming glint lit up her eyes. “If the Doctor’s not absolutely mad for you by the end of this, he will have declared himself unworthy of you in every way.”
~~
The Doctor anxiously paced the console room as he waited for the two of you to reappear. He pulled and tugged at pieces of his suit, trying to get it to sit somewhat comfortably. What was taking you two so long? He’d never admit it, but the Doctor was not really good at being patient- especially when it came to you and Donna. The longer the two of you were out of his sight, together, the more likely you were hatching some kind of scheme.
Not to mention, not having his eyes on you made him anxious. He had always cared for you, ever since you had started traveling with him- not just out of obligation, but genuine care for your well-being. You were one of the most beautiful humans, no, beings, he had ever met, inside and out. His hearts quickened every time you laughed, and stopped every time he earned one of your beaming smiles. But he knew the love of a Time Lord could be a dangerous and overwhelming thing, and that for one reason or another, he’d most likely lose you, sooner than he’d wish. Maybe it was cowardly, but that was a risk he just couldn’t take.
The sound of heeled shoes against the metal floor jerked him out of his anxious, whirling thoughts. His head snapped up as the two of you came back into the console room. It didn’t matter if he had one or two hearts beating in his chest, every blood-pumping organ would have come to a dead stop at the sight of you.
You usually wore your hair one of two ways: in a ponytail or messy bun when out on adventures, or hanging loose and free when relaxing in the TARDIS. For this occasion, your locks had been swept back into an elegant updo, several loose curls artfully framing your face. Teardrop shaped pearl earrings dangled from your ears, matching the strand of pearls draped elegantly around your neck.
Your dress was an enchanting shade of blue, the color of a bright summer sky. The sweetheart neckline enhanced the alluring curve of your breasts, while the empire waist drew the eye to the curves of your torso. You were a Botticelli painting brought to life, and the Doctor could not take his eyes off you.
A flush suffused your cheeks and you bashfully glanced at the floor. Donna stifled a snorting giggle as she watched your reactions to each other. If the Doctor’s jaw hung open any longer, he’d start drooling. “Well spaceman?” Donna asked with her usual bluntness, gesturing to you in a sort of ‘ta-da’, “What d’you think?”
It took the Doctor a very long five seconds to shake himself out of his stupor and run a distracted hand through his hair. “Well, um- you both look great. Really great.” You and Donna both giggled at his obvious discomfort at being put on the spot.
While he was busy being flustered and fiddling with the controls, you took several peeks at the Doctor. He was wearing the black suit he always wore for more formal occasions, complete with black Converse. He had swapped the bowtie for a black silk cravat, tied in an intricate knot. The whole effect was rather dashing; he could have passed for a most upstanding gentleman, and you were sure he knew it.
“Come on then!” Donna yelled from the doors, having made her way over while you and the Doctor were stuck in your own swirling thoughts, “We’ve got a party to get to!” She threw the doors open and stepped out, throwing you a conspiratorial wink over her shoulder. You started to follow, but she deliberately closed the door right behind her. Your eyes widened; you knew she had left the two of you alone on purpose. Your heart shot into your throat and clenched there, its beats shallow and quick.
“You really do look lovely,” the Doctor murmured from behind you, awkwardly rubbing the back of his head, his eyes fixed on some spot on the floor near the doors.
“Thanks,” you bashfully mumbled back, twirling a curl around a finger. “You’re looking rather dashing as well.” A sheepish smile touched his face. He jammed his hands in his pants pockets and took a few steps towards you, trying to appear casual and unaffected. He opened the doors with one hand before gallantly offering his arm to you.
“Might I have the honor of escorting you tonight?” he asked with a chortle, a teasing yet genuine smile tugging at his lips. You looped your arm with his, hand resting in the crook of his elbow. You could feel the pulse of his hearts through the layers of fabric beneath your fingers; faint, but sure and steady.
“You may,” you teased back, throwing him a flirty grin of your own before letting it soften into something more open- tender and vulnerable. “There’s no one I’d rather dance the night away with.”
The Doctor paused, one foot out of the TARDIS. He blinked twice, as if letting your words filter through every part of his mind, making sure he completely understood them and committing them to memory. Another slow blink as they finally registered, and a feeling of understanding passed between you, suffusing you both with a gentle warmth.
He moved so you could step out as well, still holding his arm. He placed his hand atop yours and gave it a gentle squeeze. Warm brown eyes stared deeply into yours, as if gently falling into the center of your being. “Nor I, Y/N,” he murmured, “Nor I.”

Written for Bunnywing Bash on dreamwidth; recip elasticella
Prompt:
Dick, batfam gen after the bunnywing adventure, rabbits in the wilds of gotham/bludhaven/wherever start following dick (very good with damian adopting them all and rabbits taking over the wayne mansion)
fandom: wayne family adventures.
character(s): dick grayson, tim drake, damian wayne, bruce wayne.
word count: 688.
tags & warnings: pov dick grayson, magic shenanigans, dick is like the bunny whisperer, the wayne affliction to adoption.
Tumblr media
It takes two weeks for Dick to realize.
Bunnies have been congregating around his feet, hopping up on his shoulders and chewing on his arms, and it still took him two weeks to realize.
It’s an embarrassingly long period of time, he knows. It won’t stop his siblings from laughing at him, but he supposes that’s just what siblings do. Tim in particular is having the time of his life.
He sighs into his hands.
“Please tell me Damian isn’t here,” he groans. “He’s going to adopt every single bunny and then Bruce is gonna yell at me, and then Alf is gonna subtly withhold cookies from me or hide my cereal or—”
“TT. Have these bunnies been fed yet? Irresponsible, Richard.”
Dick’s head snaps up and he just knows how wild and panicked his eyes look. He’s had wild bunnies popping out of the woodwork and following him around for two weeks. He’s been getting questions from civilians and coworkers alike. Even when someone else plays with them, they rush to follow Dick as soon as he leaves the room. ‘Stressed’ doesn’t even begin to cover his emotions right now.
He watches in mounting horror as Damian begins to repurpose Bat-Cow’s hay to make bunny nests. It’s an adorable sight. Dick wants to pull out his phone and record this all for posterity.
In his peripheral vision, he finds Tim doing just that from a particularly safe distance away; non-grabbing or sword-swinging distance, specifically. Tim’s holding his laughter behind a gloved hand, already so red in the face, Dick idly wonders how the boy hides anything behind his pallor.
“Damian,” he starts. He needs to tell his kid brother that these bunnies aren’t staying and that he came here to the Batcave to call for help. Dick needs to contact Zatanna immediately to get rid of his bunny… affliction doesn’t sound right. Issue, let’s go with issue.
This has to be some side effect of that magical mishap last month. He took to being a bunny pretty easily — you kind of need to be able to quickly adapt to your situations as a vigilante — but he was always under the impression that he would return to humanoid form without too much hassle. Zatanna knew the problem and fixed it super easily after all.
The roar of the batmobile does a great job of spurring him out of his thoughts.
He sees Bruce in all his Batman glory freeze in the safety of his vehicle. Dick can only imagine what’s going through the man’s mind. The manor has doubled as an animal sanctuary at this point. Dick still has nary a clue where Goliath the dragon bat came from. Anyone who knows the origin story treats it as some kind of taboo. Or they just get that thousand-yard stare, and frankly, that concerns him more than anything.
“You will be named Antony,” Damian says to the bunny that’s primarily white with beige coloring over its face and floppy ears.
“Oh no,” it’s starting.
The batmobile’s door swings open, and it appears that Bruce realized what just occurred and was likewise spurred into action. The man’s lips form around the kid’s name, and sound comes out of it… this doesn’t stop Damian from naming another three bunnies with various fur patterns.
Dick quickly realizes that each name comes from a historical ruler of some sort. Big names for small, fluffy bunnies.
Tim continues to contain his laughter— trying and failing, that is.
Dick whispers to some kind of god in a prayer for help. There’s an animal or child god somewhere, he’s pretty sure Donna’s told him before.
“We are not keeping bun— more animals in the manor, Damian.”
Bruce sounds firm, all hidden away in the character that is Batman, the Dark Knight, but Dick watches in slow motion how one pleading look on the kid’s face changes the whole game completely.
Bruce darts a sharp look over at Dick, which hey! This is absolutely not his fault! Then he says with a voice that brokers no retaliation; “You will be informing Alfred about these new developments, Dick.”

Do you have any lee!wiggly x ler!wilbur hcs??? We need more of those two tbh
Anon: *donna daggit voice* could you make a statement on wiggly/wilbur
*dan reynolds voice* i am dan reynolds and im here too
Anon: While we're on the subject do you have any wiggly wilbur thoughts bouncing around that you haven't shared?
My my, hungry aren’t we? Says the hungry hungry caterpillar herself
I keep bouncing around like a pinball on how tf Wiggly landed on Tickle Me Wiggly for his doll. Like did he come up with it on his own, or did Wilbur suggest it for shits n giggles & Wiggly just went with it because it “sounds fun”
Bouncing off that idea, Wiggly would totally pretend like he has no clue what tickling is & makes Wilbur explain it to him, planning to launch a surprise attack. But the thing is, Wilbur thinks he legit doesn’t know what it is because he just can’t see Wiggly as anything but a straight shooter & jokes don’t seem like his style. So Wilbur just kinda smirks like “well, it’s easier if I show you” & attacks HIM
Wiggly wasn’t expecting it at all & crumbles immediately. He’s just rolling around on the ground while Wilbur tries out all his spots & teasingly explains everything he’s doing & why he’s laughing so much. He’s such an asshole
So Wilbur basically found out right away that Wiggly’s very ticklish, but what goes around comes around bitch! Wiggly wasted no time once he recovered & made sure Wilbur knows who’s in charge
The other lib saw him get his shit wrecked & are the most obnoxious peanut gallery, they’re no help at all. He’s screaming for at least ONE of them to do something & they’re just like “oh but we want to learn what it is too” & Wiggly’s just laughing too hard to yell at them
Earlier I mentioned how when he cuddles Wilbur, he basically uses his entire body & even hugs him with his tentacles. He LOVES to tickle him when he’s least expecting it & is able to attack multiple spots at once. He thinks it’s so cute & funny how Wilbur squirms all over & still can’t escape his grasp
During one of their cuddle sessions, Wilbur was idly tracing/rubbing along one of the tentacles wrapped around him. Wiggly gasped & accidentally squeezed tighter & practically just gave himself away. Wilbur has a fucking field day with it & teases the shit out of him
Wiggly gets so giggly & squirmy when you get him good, it’s honestly so adorable
If Wiggly’s in a ler mood he takes all of it out on poor Wilbur. He’s not gonna get away for hours
Wiggly loves to work him up & make him flustered over a period of time to really drag things out. But he’s not so tough when the tables are turned
I hope that this is enough food for everyone! Just some appetizers ‘til I write a fic!

3AM Coffee - 14th Doctor fic
Continuation of this fic
AO3 series
The Doctor wakes with a nightmare, and finds a nighttime companion in Rose Noble
The Doctor woke up with a start, both of his hearts trying to beat out of his chest, he gasped for breath, his eyes darting around the darkened room to search for danger.
There wasn’t any danger, of course, as there hadn’t been the past couple of times he had done this.
“It’s okay,” he soothed himself, low so he wouldn’t wake anyone else in the house, “it’s okay.” He sucked in a breath as slow as he could, then again, and again. Imagining in his head all the chemical reactions that he was hoping to defeat by just breathing deeply.
It slowly began to work, much to his chagrin, he pushed himself from his bed.
His bed … that was weird. In theory he had a bed on the Tardis, his old one, but that Doctor hadn’t really slept, she’d just keep going until she dropped, he remembered his friends, his ‘fam’ yelling at her for that, not as scarily as Donna would have, but as full of concern as they had been.
He tilted his head to one side, feeling the turn of the world beneath his feet, it was three in the morning. He sighed, he should probably get more sleep, he was pretending to be a human after all and he was pretty sure most of them slept at three in the morning.
Instead he left the room, making his way down the stairs without turning on any lights, nearly tripping down the stairs but righting himself at the last moment.
He walked to the kitchen, setting his sights on the kettle. He had found that coffee wasn’t to his taste, not in this body at least, he was pretty sure the Scottish one liked it. But it was what he needed he decided.
“Mum’s gonna kill you if she finds you drinking coffee.”
He jumped out of his skin, clutching his heart. He turned to the table, Rose was sitting her hair in a satin wrap, a sketchbook in front of her. A smirk appeared on her face when she saw his shock, even though they tried to hide it from her.
“No she won’t.”
She tilted her head to the side, still amused, as though she was looking forward to watching Donna yell at him. “She says you’re already hyperactive, that she never wants to be around you if you’re drinking coffee, something about Tigger from Winnie the Pooh.”
The Doctor rolled their eyes, of course Donna would have said that about him, she’d have said it to his face too, if he hadn’t spent the past two days sleeping nearly constantly. “Lucky she’s in bed then, isn’t it?”
“Your funeral mate,” but she didn’t protest further. “There’s some coffee syrups in the cupboard on your left, if you’re into that sort of thing.”
“I don’t know if I am,” he admitted, turning to the cupboard and opening it, looking at the various coffee additives, “not really sure of much, these days.”
“I get that.”
And he knew then that she did.
He grabbed the vanilla syrup and poured a lot of it into a mug, before flicking on the kettle and adding powdered to a big mug. They turned back to Rose, leaning back against the counter as he watched her concentrating on the sketchbook in front of her. “Whatcha working on?” he asked when she paused.
“Some ideas for new toys, the collectable ones I make.”
He smiled genuinely, “They’re really impressive.”
“Thanks… it was easier to come up with ideas when I had all your memories of them so clearly.” She looked back up at him, giving him a small smile, “Don’t worry, it’s not a bad thing, it means I can come up with my own, and I have some memories, mostly vague ones, or ones mum remembers.”
The kettle finished boiling, he turned to it, adding the boiled water to the mug, they pulled a face at the smell of it, but took a long sip anyway. It wasn’t what he expected but he liked it.
They saw Rose pulling a disgusted face at him, reminding him of Amy when he’d been trying to figure out what to eat.
“Is this not…?” He tilted his head to the side, “You don’t eat the mug at the same time yet, do you?”
“There’s no way that’s something we start doing.”
They let out a small snort of laughter, smirking at her calling him out, just like her mother. But like with her mother he wasn’t about to admit that he was lying about it just to see her face. “Guess you’ll find out, in, oh,” he tilted their head to the side as though to consider, “fifty years?”
“I guess I have that to look forward to then,” she told him, refusing to rise to the bait.
He liked her.
“Y’know, if you need any ideas, not that you can’t do it on your own, I mean you’re brilliant, but I have a hundred billion years of adventures, if you need something to draw on.” he held tight to his mug of coffee, letting the heat warm him in the cold kitchen.
Rose smiled back at him, “I’d like that. I mean, you’ve got plenty of spare time now, it’ll give you something to do.” She sent him a cheeky smile, and this time he laughed.
“You are so like your mother.” He was glad that she looked proud about that. He was proud that she was too. “I should probably get back to,” he tilted his head back towards the hallway which would lead him upstairs, “before Donna wakes up and kills me.”
He knew his friend was worried about him, he was grateful about it, or at least he was trying to be, but she’d also insisted that he was going to sleep at night, she was clearly taking the request from The Doctor seriously, and had embraced her role of looking after him.
“She’s just worried about you.”
He knew that, he really did. And they appreciated it, they appreciated that she had insisted that he move in with them, that her whole family had welcomed him as though he had always been there. They knew that he needed it right now, that if they spent too long thinking he would have a breakdown, or maybe they were already having one. Was this what a midlife crisis was? Was he in their midlife? What was he…
He took a deep breath, “Yeah,” he said when he realised that Rose was still watching him. She was looking at them so knowingly that he was forced to remember that she had got both their and Donna’s memories. She knew him. “I’m okay,” he promised.
She raised an eyebrow, “Sure, and I’m a Timelord.” She sent him another small tender smile, “You will be though, you’ve just got to let yourself be broken first.”
“How did you get so wise?” He asked her, and she sent them a look. Ah, yes, gender in the twenty-first century in the UK… she had to grow up and grow wise and advocate from a young age, even with such a loving family around her.
He thought about his own body, about how when they changed he would need new clothes, that they had needed to feel like themself, about the scar on his chest when they had regenerated into this body, about how it probably, no definitely, didn’t match up to the typical current human view on gender.
“When my Tardis comes back we could go on a trip, if you like, there’s a planet where Zey see Zir gender only as colour, or another where they morph constantly to fit with their inner self, though we might need some anti sickness medicine for that, it can get a bit queasy with everyone changing constantly, and the trampoline floor.”
“I’d like that,” her eyes flickered to the hallway before returning to him, smiling in the way which shone Donna out of every watt of it, “we’ll have to keep it a secret from mum though, if we go soon…”
It was an offer, he knew that, an offer to escape from standing still for a night, as much as he needed to work on himself he also needed these distractions. He nodded his head, “It’s a deal.”
He took a long swig of his coffee. He wasn’t sure if it was the coffee or the talk to Rose which calmed him, but he was certain he would be able to sleep again now. “Try not to stay up too late,” he said knowing that it was probably the sort of thing that he as an adult should advise her.
She nodded, “Night Doctor.”
He took his cooling mug of coffee with him, hoping that this time he could stay asleep, and not wake up terrorised by nightmares.
Maybe he could even dream.

Y/n Specter - Mike Ross x Reader
Tumblr media
summary: After Mike gets into a huge fight with y/n, he realizes he made his bed and must lie in it as y/n's older brother Harvey comes for revenge
Warnings: mentions of arguing, fist fighting
Two Weeks. Two weeks was how long Mike had been ignoring you. It wouldn't of hurt so bad if it weren't for the fact you saw him talking with Rachel every time you came in to have lunch with you older brother, Harvey. You two were close, but not close enough for him to really show feelings or affection towards you, and you were okay with that, he was a good listener and advice giver.
"I don't know what you want me to do! Y/n! It's all the damn time! I need to work!" Mike had screamed at you, you were shocked considering all you asked was if he was staying over at your place tonight or not. You took a gulp as tears welled up in your eyes watching Mike raise his eyebrows "Go." You took a step back as tears started to roll down your cheeks "I never thought when I met you, Sweet Mike Ross would turn into a newer more cruel version of Harvey" You whispered weakly backing away from his cubicle, before rushing back to your apartment, locking the door before going to bed where you'd stay for the next two weeks.
Harvey approached your apartment door, it had been almost two weeks since he last saw you for lunch and he was worried, nobody had seen you, not even Donna. He rolled his eyes at the thought of knocking and walked in "Y/n!" He called out into the dark apartment, he couldn't see anything. Feeling around in your apartment he found your curtains pulling them open to reveal the sunlight into your cluttered, messy bedroom. He turned around ready to continue his search before jumping nearly three feet off the ground followed by a high pitched squeal as he saw you now sitting up right on the bed. "Were you watching me the entire time!? Why didn't you answer me!? Why do you look like that!?" He screamed a hundred questions towards you. Harvey was worried, here his baby sister sat in a mess of her own clothes and blankets looking like a zombie. Your usual h/t hair was a complete mess, knots littered it everywhere, you had dark bags under your eyes, your skin was pale and you look like you hadn't seen the sun in days. "Harv..." You whispered looking at him, his face softened looking at you as he slowly walked to the side of your bed running a hand over your head trying to smooth your hair down. "I need my big brother Harv...not boss Harvey" You whispered quietly on the verge of tears "I'm here y/n/n" He whispered sitting next to you after clearing off a spot on the bed. "I've been seeing Mike Ross...Since he started at Pearson-Hardman...We got into a fight a couple weeks ago...now he's been talking to Rachel alot..I saw her car at his place when I went to see if we were okay.." You whispered taking in a shaky breath, Harvey huffed, he was pissed "You did the one thing I told you not to do!?" He asked loudly making you flinch and look at him before standing up hitting his chest "I quit! I quit! I want my brother back! Who would be there for me rather than yell at me for mistakes!" You whimpered trying to push him out of your room but he just hugged you "I'll handle Mike...Kids not gonna know what hit him..As for you..You're gonna shower...We're gonna get that hair fixed, get you back to the badass y/n I know, and then you and Donna will go for a girls day on me" He said resting his chin on your head, he lead you into your room then your bathroom before leaving you in there shutting the door on his way out.
After Harvey walked you out to the car with Donna, he was on his warpath, not stopping until he had Mike's head on a platter, metaphorically speaking of course. He stormed into his office after demanding Rachel send Mike to his office, he could tell by Rachel's face even she knew what was gonna happen was bad. Harvey watched as the little prick walked through the door, looking at him "Hey Harvey, I'm almost done convincing the Jesser's case on settling but Mrs. Jesser isn't wanting to-" Harvey cut Mike off "Cut the goddamn bullshit" He growled standing up glaring at Mike "What the fuck did you say to my sister?" Harvey snapped walking closer "I haven't done anything! My head's been in the case /You/ gave me for three weeks!" Mike argued back, Harvey grunted before taking a swing on Mike, feeling Harvey's fist connect with his jaw "I told you! Never to talk to Y/n Specter! I told you your first day. Shoot her down if you have to!" He yelled punching Mike every other word "But no! You had to take her out, wow her, then snap at her and treat her like she doesn't exist" He growled with such hatred he wanted to squeeze Mike's head until it popped "What!? I-I snapped at her yes after you threatened you'd fire me if I saw her any longer" Mike argued back before punching Harvey right on the nose. He staggered off of Mike leaning against his desk holding his nose as it started to pour blood, Mike could feel the blood seeping from his mouth, lips, under his eye, and his nose, and yet all he could think about was seeing you.
You didn't get home until around Eleven PM that night, you were startled by a Mike Ross sitting on your couch, a cold wash cloth draped over his face "Mike?..." You whispered, setting your bag down before taking a seat on the couch next to him, you slowly pulled the rag down gasping at his face. "Holy shit Mike" You whispered "Why didn't you go to a hospital?" You asked going to grab your first aid kit from the kitchen, when you got back you rushed to clean his wounds and bandage them. As you wiped his lip trying to get the last of the dried blood off you watched as he took in your appearance. "You told Harvey" He whispered looking at you, you sighed "i'm sorry..He was gonna find out.." You mumbled looking at him "Are we okay, Mike? You've been icing me out for days...what did I do?.." You whispered sadly, the relationship was perfect so why was it going down the drain right now? You felt his hand come up to cup your cheek, caressing his thumb over your cheekbone softly "Baby...You never did anything...Harvey..made this stupid threat...and I didn't want to risk never seeing you again even if it was just as friends in the office..so I backed off..but I realize I love you Y/n. I couldn't stop thinking about you" He ranted resting his forehead against yours, you sighed "So why were you always with Rachel?.." You whispered looking at him starting to lean away from his touch, remembering the betrayal you felt "I've talking to you through her.." He admitted looking down "So..all this time..thinking Rachel and I were actually talking about you..it was you talking about yourself?..I thought you were cheating asshole! You kept calling yourself the hottest man alive and so sweet you could eat and I thought it was Rachel!" You yelled slapping his chest, he laughed rolling his eyes hugging you tightly "I'm sorry! I was being honest! and I was trying to use like...girl power to make you forgive me..." He whispered, You giggled shaking your head pecking his lips repeatedly "You could use /your/ power to make me forgive you." You whispered grabbing his tie pulling him up to hover over you as you laid on the couch "Oh yea?" He whispered repeatedly as he pecked kisses all over your face and down your neck.

What if you were an asexual succubus, wouldn't that be fucked up or what Chapter 9
Masterlist of chapters
11 days after Remus was cast out of Hell
"You're going on a car date with him!? A date!? In a car! With that gross thing!" Virgil eyes were so wide open it looked like they would pop out any second now.
Janus threw his hands up "When life throws you a strange little man you don't just ignore him!"
"Jannie you're killing me! Just like he's going to kill you! In that car!! I- I need a plastic bag to breathe into or something"
Virgil walked around in a circle while continuing to mutter to himself. The sound of the clock ticking that Janus' brain usually automatically zoned out suddenly seemed so overbearing as he sorted through the drawer under his bed to try and choose what to wear. Was he going for a Donna Tartt mysterious dark academia or more of a vampire stuck in victorian London.
"Very lucky that you somehow have the energy to go on a date with this random guy but you've been snazzing me off for asking you to go to class or buy the groceries for once innit" Virgil snarked out while halfway across the room.
In frustration Janus halfheartedly threw the piece of clothing he'd been holding. It fell miserably to the floor between them "You're doing a great impression of a twat tonight honey. Besides it is not a date. It is simply some friendly hanging out"
That last part was a lie. Janus was 22, inexperienced and let's not speak in circles here: very horny. He was only trying to avoid Virgil judging him for it.
Virgil picked up the clothing and folded it while saying dryly "If you're mulling over what to wear I suggest a hmm lemme think hmm a skirt..cause they're easier to take off"
"Oh my god! You're being such a- Nevermind. I am ignoring you for the rest of the evening"
"Having an argument right before going out to get murdered is such a boring cliche Jannie" Virgil put the folded clothing on the bed next to his roomate.
His roomate refused to reply, instead doing charades of him checking his ears and listening around for noise which he pretended he couldnt hear.
Virgil was about to leave it be but muttered over his shoulder "What if he's taking the piss on you? Only asking you out as a joke like every other dipshit? Only down to shag to use as comedy fodder at his next party. You're just gonna be a spectacle for him"
Janus closed his eyes and tried to keep it out. for once he didn't want to believe it.
--
Remus had a real skip in his step as he pranced through the college hallways. He had succesfully stolen his first car!! He obviously couldn't have a human date without a car! Did he have a license? No! Did he know what a license was? No! This date was going to go great!
"OOOOHHH JAAANNNUUUSS!!!" He yelled through the door while knocking just as loudly.
The door was pushed open so quickly he jumped back from surprise. Janus was standing there with a tense half smile, a large two colored black and yellow sweater, an ankle lenght skirt and his dreadlocks pushed up into two buns. Over his shoulder the demon could see the grumpy roomate sitting buried under a blanket in his bed with his headphones on. He looked so pale he nearly blended into the wall, maybe that was his goal.
"You are surpriseingly timely" Was the first thing Janus said "As you can clearly see I was definitely not at all expecting you to come"
"Expecting me to come immediately is reeally dirty J-anus! I am graceful non dirty pure lady"
"Glad to see you wore the shorts just like I asked. What a good boy you are" Janus had a sly smile on his lips "Want to come in? or must I welcome you like a vampire"
"I'm good" Remus replied while walking into the room.
He did a twirl to look around the whole room with wide bright eyes as he held his hands close to his chest. His head turned in an inhuman way to look at Virgil.
"Again this guy is here"
Janus made a whole showing of looking around and scratching his head "Who" He said sarcastically.
"I live here!" Virgil glared at a spot slightly above Remus' head "Red doesn't suit you"
"Good am not wearing any then!...OH! You mean my eyes!? I have not found way to gougue them out and replace them without losing sight yet. Too bad! Stuck with them for now!"
"..Sure"
"Well then" Janus clasped his hands "I am now remembering I just happened to forget something vital. Oh poor meee and my poor luck! Guess I have to go get that and leave you two aloneee for a while"
He gave his roommate the most shiteating grin before leaving the dormroom. Virgil's mouth fell open for a moment before shaking his head.
"Oh that snake is testing to see if we'll actually kill each other. Fucking bastard" He continued to grumble swearwords under his breathe.
Remus was about to say something about a fight to the death but as soon as he opened his mouth he started to violently cough. He held his hand against his throat and tried to force it back.
"Think I'm allergic to.." Remus gestured in Virgil's general direction. He stack out his tongue and wheezed like a cat trying to cough up a hair ball "Probably lethal...Oh well. Sweet death!"
"Why are you even here"
"You know...Colgege..Colgage...Colege. Study study!"
"No. No. Dude I mean" Virgil began to stand up from his bed while motioning for Remus to sit down in Jan's bed "Sit" He took a the desk chair and spun it around so he could sit on it in the wrong direction.
Remus made a "Blegh" sound while falling back into the soft cushions of Jan's bed. He plucked at the pillows and a bottle of face creme his date had forgotten to put away. "Smells like citrus! Love citrus! Much better smell than whatever you have going on"
"Rude, and also off topic. I was asking-"
"You only made us switch sitting places to make you feel big strong huh?" Remus reached his leg out to tap the chair with his toe.
"Why're you here dude?"
"Study. Study!"
"No! Like! Here" He tapped his finger against the backrest of the chair "Why're you here wanking around with Jannie?"
The demon shrugged "Fun! Dead birds come around him, that's fun! great! Fantastic! More dead stuff please!"
Virgil leant in closer "Listen here you daft nonce, you can't bang your way into our life like this! But if you are going to be here you better not hurt Jannie in any way. If I hear a single insult from you 'bout him I will- Well" Remus coughed again as Virgil leant in as close as he could "I was known as a biter at our ophanage and one time I bit a visitor and that visitor got Rabies from it. The doctors tested me and I didn't have Rabies. No one knows till this day how it happened, Ever heard of a bad miracle? If you try anything I'll find a way to recreate that and bite you"
Remus grined "What's rabies?"
He let out a sigh "...So you're just a proper idiot then"
"Yes, But I know few things" The demon moved his toe up and down against Virgil's leg "I know difference between human being annoyed at me because anger and human being annoyed at me because he thinks I'm hot and he does not want to think that. And I think you're example of number two. OH! Poop joke!"
"You daft fucking cunt!" He slapped the demon's foot away from him "YOu think the dead animals popping up around Jannie is cool!? well I've been telling him for Years that it's just assholes throwing them in through our window or door because humans are fucking horrible! But lately he's stopped listening to me! I think he's seriously starting to think there's some supernatural shit going on, WHICh trust me! I would be the most excited about! In any other case! Love ghosts! But not in this situation! I can count on more than one hand the amount of people who have asked Jannie out as a sick joke! And laughed at him no matter the answer! You hear me? I've Always protected him and I won't let you go and--"
"Ladies are we having a good time" Janus greeted as he came back into the room.
Virgil stood up and pushed the chair back to the desk "I was actually learning this twat here some words he could have use of. Like...Rabies!"
"Remus-Darling you simply have to set me up for a talk with your english teacher. I have to know what kind of teaching styles he uses because your intake of words is legitimately impressive" Virgil's already annoyed expression mulled over even more as Janus said the compliment.
"Me and Logan teacher have the same language. It helps"
"Fascinating. I'm sure I could find some studies regarding that helping in learning new languages" Janus weaved his fingers together and moved lightly back and forth on the toes of his feet "Sssssso, shall we get going?"
"No Showing me around?" Remus waved around at the room.
Out of the corner of his eye Janus could see Virgil motioning to puking "No darling. I think I can give you a proper introduction to my room some other time"
-
Remus opened the car door for Janus like he'd seen in the movies before sliding across the hood to get into the driver's seat. He stared at the dozens of buttons, numbers and fingamadings before deciding to simply kick his foot into the pedal and try to keep the car somewhat going in a straight line.
As soon as the car rived up Janus let out a yelp before grabbing ahold of the panic grip in the ceiling. "Roleplaying a fast and furious movie is definitely my favorite kind of date. Yep, yep yep yep yep" He let out a nervous laugh "SSSWEETIE, Reminder that my parents died in a carcrash!"
The car dropped to a sudden crawl making Remus lunge forward and nearly hit his forehead against the steering wheel. Janus tried to reach out to see if he was okay but the demon waved it off. The wheel had turned moist from his hands sweating and they hadn't even left college ground yet.
"I have not been on date before" Remus blurted out.
Janus quieted.
"I have been with humans. Lots of humans. Part of my uhh job you know, But never walked on date" He continued.
"Lucky for you I am so incredibly experienced there is no possibility of this going wrong" Janus reached out and placed his hand atop of Remus' hand on the steering wheel and the demon could feel how fast the human's pulse was beating "This is my first time too"
Remus let up into a smile and gave his date a quick glance before continuing to look at the road. The car swerved and curved but didn't go too fast and the air suddenly felt easier to breathe.
"I was looking at normal date spots and seen this lake. Pretty popular in summer. Thought it be nice. Driving. Criving. Niving. Fiving. Fisting"
"Only two of those were words"
"I know"
"Popular in summer huh" Janus leant back in his seat "What you're telling me is that it will be avoid of any people expect for us right now. Oh dear you really are planning on killing me. How flattering"
Remus' horns began to shine a bright crimson red as his heart skipped a beat "H- HOw did you know!?"
Jan laughed "You're a good actor dear"
"Oh....Jokes. yes. Hahahahaha. Murder. My favorite joke! Right after disemmemberment!!"
"Is it a long drive? Does your car have bluetooth or shall I simply rawdog it and hope my phone can be loud enough for both of us to hear the music?"
There was a knife laying in the backseat of the car. If Remus checked in the mirror he could see the edge of it faintly glimmering as it laid half stuck out from where he'd hidden it.
"Are we in the mood for some musical classics? A bit of razzle dazzle, some cabaret, even some Funny girl if we're feeling dramatic" Janus continued. He saw the puzzled look on Remus face and added "Ah, perhaps a bit too showey for a late night date innit"
A slash across the throat would be quick, only a few minutes of bleeding out. It would probably not even be that painful since the shock wouldn't have time to subside. He could lay Janus' body out in the water. There was no need to bother making it look like an accident, a drowning, car crash, even a fall, he wouldn't have to care about the police anyhow once the deed was done and he could return to Hell like normal. He missed the slight smoke always hanging in the air. Earth air was too clean.
"Maybe some jazz? Don't tell me you're one of those who refuse to listen to any jazz. It's alright if youre simply scared off by its deep history but I can show you some of my favorites. The clazzics if you will...with Z instead of S, you get me!"
Choking him to death could also work. If he suffocated him by pressing an object to his face until he passed out it would be less painful...Not that the amount of pain mattered as long as he died. Remy could be being hurt right now. Emile could be all alone. Roman could- He couldn't think about that right now. He had to focus.
"If we really want to get into the mood I could put on some R&B classics. Peronsally I lean more into the alternative sort of R&B, the Twigs, Szas, etc etc. Fiona Apples even! if we want to get into alternative rock. but while I am a snob and a judgy bitch I am certaintly not above some Whitney uh some Mariah. Aretha even. I mean I'm gay and black I think there would be a warrant for my arrest ready if I didn't"
Running him over with the car was always an option though, and while thinking this Remus sneaked a glance at the human, he wanted to make the death as painless as possible. He could have fun harming humans some other time. For some reason he just didn't like the idea of Janus in prolonged pain. It was a good thing he didn't have to worry about cops. With the scar on his face the human would be easily recognizable even as a corpse.
"Hey" Janus snapped his fingers "Remus? Forgot to pick an option in the dialogue tree?"
Remus snapped back to the present and tried to remember what they were talking about "Music? Oh uh I know Music uhh" He began to humm a tune and tap his finger against the wheel while trying to drag any human song he could remember forward "Ahh Where they all uhh live where they run where they something something all day in the sun. Wishin could be wandering free uhh part of your world??"
Janus smiled watching the demon scrunch his nose and furrow his eyebrows together while sing-mumbling the words out. His voice was stale, shrill and way out of pitch but it was sort of cute in a lame way.
"Is that...The little mermaid?" The human guessed.
"Uhh yeah" Remus forced a smile "My brother's favorite song" He hadn't been fully aware that was Roman's favorite, the information was ingrained in his mind in the same way the urge to fly south lays in the mind of a bird "He loves musicals aaand that is why we will not listen to musicals"
"Understandable, though you will have to hear my incredible rendition of don't rain on my parade someday"
"Would not wanna miss it, except if beheadings was happening at the same time"
The human put on a calm playlist of jazz before looking out the window to see the last remnants of the day's light disappear behind the tops of the trees in the distance. Thick clouds had started to roll in but it hadn't started raining just yet. The last few people were driving home from work. Remus was headbanging along to the smooth trumpets which made Janus laugh.
"Want a riddle?" Janus asked.
"Bro that sounds like a a uhhhh......scary thing..."
"Threat?"
"Yeah! Threat!"
"As any normal person does I have a riddle app on my phone. It's definitely not right next to my murder mystery app"
Remus switched positions to only have to hold the wheel with one hand as the traffic lessened "Hit me..In the uhh theoryetical way not in kinky way"
"There are two men who each have a backpack . One of the men are dead. The man who is alive has his backpack open and the man who is dead has his backpack closed. What is in the dead man’s backpack?"
Janus had a smug look on his face as he waited for his date to think.
"...A whole pile of blades that SLAsh went right through backpack and into soft human meat!!" Remus answered with full confidence.
"Wow, what an adorable attempt" The demon didn't notice the sarcasm, his tail simply wagged at the compliment "Correct answer is a parachute"
"Load another up sir!"
"You are my brother, but I am not your brother. Who am I?"
"J-Anus babeybitch we are Not related!"
"It's the riddle you daft muppet"
"Oh......uhmmmm......Reverse brother !"
"Wha- Well sure. The correct answer is sister so I suppose..you are right..."
His tail continued to wag making the back of his seat warm "Another! Another! My brain is sooo fucking WIGGLY right now!"
"Whatever you say. A barrel of water weighed 60 pounds. Someone put something in it and now it weighs 40 pounds. What did the person add?"
"OH! I know right one! HOLE! A hole! Issa hole!....Hehehe hole....INNIT!" He mimicked the human's accent on the last word.
"Correct!" Janus leant closer to him and murmured into his ear "What a good boy you are"
"THAMKS! Iam great hole finder! Hole expert! Great hole guy!"
"I'm sure you are darling"
Remus let his hand wander across the armrest that was the only small distance between them. He felt for Janus' reaction as he placed his hand against his knee. For a moment the human tensed from surprise before his knee went soft again. The demon rubbed his finger in a circle against the light fabric of the skirt keeping their skin separated.
"Your clothes look good" The demon said.
"Thanks. Yours too, what there is of them. There is for sure no chance of you catching a cold"
"Eh" he shrugged "I'm hotblooded"
The car took a sharp turn as they exited the main road and the lake entered the view. It was hard to make out on a starless evening, besides they were on the hill overlooking the lake not beside it. There was a small parking lot meant for stopping at to take a view but since no one except for them were there Remus drove right to the edge of the hill and parked right next to the railing. Janus lowered the volume of the music and for a few moments neither of them spoke.
The sound of the carbelts unbuckling and the slight rustle from the bushes around them mixed with the low jazz was the only sound heard.
"Hope I calling this a date was okay before. I know this is not romantic" Remus eventually got out. His stomach was turning but he wasn't sure if it was from hunger or not wanting to be intimate.
"As long as we both are aware this is a casual thing it's okay. Earlier when you and Viv got your alone time I ran and bought some uh- wow I am feeling ssssoo mature for feeling embarassed over saying these words like Im freaking 5- I got condoms. You can just say if we need them or not, no detail needed. I just thought with your job-"
"Good braining! We don't!"
"Okay"
(In the early days of succubi they could spread STDs but it was quickly realized that far too many humans died for that to stay a possibility, especially during the black plague)
"I have slipper shit"
"Good. Good yeah"
The demon noticed Janus' hand moving up to instictly play with one of his dreadlocks before his hand stayed hung in the air as he remembered he'd put his hair in buns and let his hand fall down to his lap once more.
There was a naseua growing at the back of Remus' mouth that gave him the urge to put his fingers deep in his throat and pull it all out. Gag and spit and puke and saliva and anything that could distract him. His sight became a bit slurred as he began to space out.
"Sex. Sex time. Let's go" He mumbled in a tone uncharacteristicly emotionless.
Remus pulled off his tank top without much fanfaire and threw it into the back of the car before turning to Janus. The human's eyes jumped between his chest and his eyes and Remus made sure to wait a moment until his eyes had stagnated a bit before leaning forward to let his lips meet the skin of the human's neck.
Janus' hands hung in the air before he slowly moved his hand to lay against Remus' bare back. He could feel the shoulder blade moving under his fingertips while his heart raced so fast he could hear it pounding in his ears.
The feeding had started, It wasn't much though. It felt like popcorn seeds were being forced between his teeth and pushed down his throat one after the other. Tiny tiny hints of food only making his hunger more apparent.
He let his other hand slip down past Remus' neck and slid his finger along the collar bone. The demon stopped kissing his neck to instead watch Janus' face as the human moved his hand along Remus' chest, his eyes enamored and face slightly flushed.
The demon placed his knee against the middle arm rest to get closer while pressing his hand against the window behind Janus to keep himself from falling over. He went back to kissing the human's neck, edging up to right where his chin stopped and cheek started.
In his mind he was thinking of the latest human movies he'd seen. Saw 1-10 was a real hoot. Great way to forget how hungry he was. His eyes glazed over as he moved his other hand to roll the human's skirt up so it bunched up around his waist. His lips kissed where the smooth skin turned jagged and uneven as he placed his hand against his inner thigh (he hoped it would go by fast) before sliding his fingers higher up until-
Until the feeding stopped suddenly and before he could fully notice it he felt Janus hands pushing lightly against his chest. Not in the soft almost careful caress he'd done before. His eyes were looking away to some spot on the dashboard as he held Remus away ever so slightly.
Remus didn't move back but he did stop kissing him to instead meet his eyes "Something wrong?"
"I had..imagened it differently. This is so cramped and" Janus' eyes flickered back and forth "I thought I was ready" His voice wavered just a bit.
The demon eyed the other man's face up and down "...How did you ever get that scar anyway?"
The look in Janus' eyes changed in an instant. There were sudden tears brimming at the edges with a just as sudden look of anger and disgust right behind the tears as he stared at Remus.
"What kiND OF FUCKING QUESTION IS THAT MID FUCK!?"
His voice wavered under the rage as he pushed Remus away hard enough to knock him back to his seat. His head hadn't even hit the window before Janus had opened the car door and slammed it shut behind him.
Remus gasped for breathe as he felt something crawl up his throat. He pushed the car door slightly ajar to hang his head out and puke onto the dirt underneath him. The puke was almost all stomach acid and water and the little feeding he had gotten from Janus must have disappeared down into the ground.
The rain quickly drained the puke away, Remus quietly watched it as it ran down to the edge of the hill before disappearing down the cliffside. Janus running away must have been a blessing in disguise because he would not have been able to hold back his disgust the entire way through. But had that been enough? Could he kill janus now? He glanced back at the seat where the knife was hidden...it was probably best to ask Logan first to be sure. He shuddered at the possibilities of what could happen to Roman if he came back with a dead but non sinning Janus.
If only Roman had been forced to do this instead of him. She would have known exactly what to do, what to say. He could have seduced Janus within a day. Everything would already be back to normal.
The seat where Janus had sat was still warm as Remus pressed his hand against it. He took a deep breathe and rested his head in his hands for a few minutes before putting on his tank top again and stepping out into the rain.
His body couldn't take him standing up so suddenly so he had to lean against the car as his sight spun and his legs trembled. Instead of screaming for his body to stop shaking he hit his fist against the top of the car.
He held his tail above his head to try and lessen the rain someway, at least the ground was all muddy and nice to skip through. The human wasn't anywhere in the parking lot so Remus sniffed in the air instead and followed the citrus smell to the other side of the road where the bushes growing were closer together and the ground uneven.
A hint of blue light came from somewhere between the bushes and Remus followed it to find Janus sitting on a log texting on his phone. He didn''t notice the demon so Remus decided to sneak up behind him and lean his arms over the human's head to shield him from the rain. He sucked in a big gulp of air before screaming
"BOO BITCH!!"
Janus didn't answer, he didn't even get scared.
"You're being boring"
Remus sat down beside him and stuck out his tongue to try and gauge a reaction, followed by silly expression, wild hand waving, poking his nose, farting and as a last resort making puppy eyes while pouting. Finally he tried poking at Janus but that only made the human smack his hand away.
"Oh fabolous idea! Really rub your grubby lil hands all over huh!? Very appreciated!"
The demon was pretty sure that was sarcasm. He tried to move his head to see the phone screen "Who you texting? Is it saaatan?? Done any sins recently??? Sins worth death???"
"You could never possible guess who Im texting, I just have such an unimaginable array of trusted allies and dear friends and I totally do not only have 1 singular friend at all in the whole world. I am just so fucking caked up with friends. schedules all packed!"
"......Have I.....Done something....?"
"No! Obviously not! Never!" Janus put his phone down and let out the longest of sighs "Cant you just drive me home? Or are you planning on stranding me here and letting me ruin my nice sweater even more. Fuck! I used my nice sweater for this you fucking asshole!!......Im kidding. I used my worst piece of shit shirt or someting. yada yada lies lies" his legs were bouncing so fast mud was kicking up onto his skirt "And don't you dare touch me!"
Remus didn't understand but he still replied "No touching, I prommy....but you missing out on me sexyli carrying you to the car so your shoes do not get worse"
"Please sweetie" janus rolled his eyes while standing up and dusting off the back of his skirt "Your arms are the size of cigarettes, I doubt you would ever be able to carry me. Honey you are allll legs"
"That's not true! Im also a penis!"
"You're doing a great job at thinking with it" The mumbled way Janus said it was a stark contrast to how he'd teased Remus before.
The demon followed the human back to the car with his tail between his legs. Even from just the small amount of time they'd been outside they were both still sopping wet enough to dampen the seats. When Remus saw his date shuddering he slammed all of the buttons on the dashboard until he found the heater.
"My friend says wet feet makes illness" Remus commented while thinking of Emile.
"Eureka! What a never before stated glimpse of wisdom. Be a dear and just start driving already"
The jazz playlist was still going as they began the drive home. Every now and then Remus glanced over to his date but each time he looked Janus was just sitting curdled up with his body leant as close to the car door as possible. His arms were around himself to try and gather warmth as he stared out the window.
"If I was making an army I would want you on my side be cause you're very mega smart" Remus said to try and cheer him up.
"Who cares about being smart when you can't do anything useful with it, or anything at all for that matter"
"...Well.....You can...say cool facts..."
The barely begun conversation died out into silence. That was Remus theory anyhow: that Hell must want to make sure that Janus lands in Hell so he can help them against Heaven somehow. It was the only thing that made sense for now.
It was a smooth ride home with few cars on the road which was a lucky coincidence because Remus had gotten so hungry his eyes were going in and out of focus the entire way. He stopped in the middle of the parking lot in front of the College campus and was digging around in his mind for a cool movie line to say to end of the date succesfully. Janus was already getting out of the car before he'd come up with anything to say so Remus ran after which only made his head spin.
"Wait! Janny boy! UHhh AHH Epic Date!?"
"I suppose I should say thanks for driving me. Tell me if I should pay you back for the gas-"
"Oh nah I stole th- NOpe! Not needed thanks! Ehh Do Do you not want me to walk you to your door?"
"As you can see I have my own legs so no thank you"
"When you wanna meet a-"
Janus pressed his finger against Remus' lips "Shush. Stay."
He moved his finger away and when Remus didn't say anything he caressed the demon's chin.
"Good boy. Now, Have a good night. Goodbye"
With that Janus turned around and walked away. Remus stayed standing there until his date had disappeared into one of the dorm houses.
His heart started to race. Oh Satan he'd failed. He'd- He wouldn't get to see Roman for however long. He thought it'd be over. He thougt he- Not Remy or Emile either. He couldn't know if they were okay. He thought it would be easy- It should have been easy.
His stomach growled and it was about then Remus completely dissociated away into a daydream where he could put The Manager into a saw trap without any consequenses. His body got back into the car and drove away from the campus and into the middle of town. Somewhere along the way he crashed into a mailbox and slammed his horns into the dashboard. It wasn't his car so his body just got out and started walking towards the nearest club he could see.
All of the sounds of humans talking and the faint music coming from inside the building were all muffled to Remus' ears. Everything was just shapes. Nothing tangetible. Nothing real.
Except for a sudden smell that made him break out into coughs. His eyes were still out of focus as Remus looked around while holding his hands over his nose. The smell was so sticky sweet it felt like acid was flowing into his nostrils.
Finally he saw a figure kneeling down beside a human that had fallen asleep on the lawn outside the club. Looking directly at it made his eyes water and the hairs on his arms raise.
It was a fucking Angel.
It had hidden it's wings and halo from the humans but Remus could see them clear as day. Stupid Angels always having their wings out, that's why he never summoned his. And with their just as stupid horns that went round their head to connect to each other, stupid them for being obnoxious enough to call it a halo.
It noticed him just as quickly and held up the water bottle as if to show him it was only here to help the humans. Remus in return hissed at it to which it fully opened up it's large wings to scare him off. He told himself he only walked away because he disliked the smell, he had humans to feed off of anyway.

Okok so like, I have a big brain idea
So like, reader has an argument with Ethan and Karl (poly relationship pog) and storms out of the factory. Cue a time skip of about 5 hours, reader hasn’t come back, and they start to freak out. They search everywhere, and they’re no where to be found.
Turns out they’re talking to Donna and Angie. Why? Cause they need someone to vent to. And cause it also happened to be the day that they were supposed to go over for a tea party with Angie.
If you could make reader more on the masculine side that’d be very poggers
Thanks bestie I love you <3
Donna ended up getting a lot of focus here? That wasn't intentional, I just love her and Angie. I might write a second part to focus on the actual ship more.
Protective
Ethan Winters x Reader x Karl Heisenberg
Fandom: Resident Evil 8
Format: Oneshot
Warnings: Argument between the reader and their partners about boundaries about protectiveness. Brief mention of yelling at the reader.
Masc Reader, they/them pronouns used, only pet name used is babe
Character Masterlist Commission Info
“Despite what you seem to think, Karl, you aren’t the boss of me,” you snapped.
“I’m not trying to boss you around but you have to understand that it is dangerous out there, you’re gonna get killed if you keep running off without telling me.”
“Who’s gonna hurt me? The lycans? They know better. The other lords? I get along with them better than you do. And even if something happens, I can handle myself!”
“God, you’re so fucking headstrong, I’m trying to keep you safe.”
“And lock me up in your factory? As if. Fuck off, Karl.”
Tensions had slowly been rising in the factory over the last week, after your boyfriend had gotten annoyed over you coming home late. It felt like he was treating you like porcelain. You weren’t made of glass, you were thriving out here just as much as he and Ethan were. It was so frustrating to be treated like a child with a curfew.
Karl was regularly pushing the limits of his powers and energy, working late into the night. And Ethan had managed to lose multiple limbs in the space of you knowing him, even if he could reattach them with ease. So why were you the one getting lectured?
The tension had broken when you told Karl you were leaving for the day. Neither of you had meant for it to become an argument, but you were both too stubborn for your own good. Karl was pressing at his temples and you could tell he was keeping himself from starting to yell. Then Ethan walked in.
“Hey, you two good? What’s going on?”
“Tell them that they can’t keep running off whenever they like, they’re gonna get killed.”
“Tell him that he can’t order me around!” You protested immediately.
Ethan never enjoyed being in the middle of an argument. He could give as good as anything when he was arguing himself, but you could see him already trying to figure out how to least upset the both of you.
“Well, babe, it uh, is pretty dangerous out there-“
You were sick of this. You had plans today, you were going to be late and you had no patience left for the two of them acting like you couldn’t hold your own. You turned on your heel and stormed out of the room.
“Babe!”
“Shit, fine, go cool off.”
You ignored their voices behind you, navigating easily through the factory. It wasn’t fighting against you at least. You’d seen Karl bend the building to his will, rearranging it as he pleased. If he put his mind to it, he could keep you from leaving.
You knew him well enough to trust he wouldn’t though. Even with the frustration still burning in your veins as you stepped out into the snow.
——
A break from the factory had been exactly what you’d needed.
Your plans for today had been to visit Donna’s manor. Coming out here for tea and gossip was always a good way to let go of stress. Especially since Donna was such a good listener. You hadn't wanted to spend the whole visit complaining at her so it took a few hours for her to pull the story out of you.
“I just feel like they’re being overbearing, you know? I don’t need their protection.”
Donna nodded thoughtfully as you spoke, a new doll in her lap and Angie sitting on the table.
“Kill them!” Speak of the devil, Angie always had her own, very violent, advice.
"I don't think that's the answer here, no," You said, smiling. Even if her advice was unhelpful, it broke the tension that had been set into your muscles since the argument. "They're being...a lot, right now, but I love them and I know they mean well I guess."
Predictably, Angie stuck out her tongue at the rejection of her idea.
"Angie, dear, go play," Donna said softly, setting her down on the ground. The doll ran off immediately, already distracted by something she'd spotted on the floor.
When Donna looked back up at you, despite the heavy veil she wore, you could perfectly imagine the gentle smile she had. Her soft nature had always been a blessing in this world of chaos and you wouldn't trade this friendship for the world.
"It is good that there is no malice on either side and that you know that. But why let it become so angry?" Donna asked.
"Because Karl won't listen to me! And Ethan keeps taking his side even though he's gotten into more trouble than I ever have! And I'm not trying to keep him confined to the factory!"
"Does any part of you want to?"
"What?" You stopped, confused.
"Your Ethan has a knack for finding danger, no? Wouldn't it be nice to know he was safe?"
"Well, yeah, it would," you trailed off, letting yourself reflect on the anxieties that always seemed to surround you when your partners were gone, even though you knew they could protect themselves.
"So, even though you disagree with them, you understand where they are coming from."
"Yeah, but I'm not being unreasonable to not want to be treated like a child by my partners."
"You are not being unreasonable, you do require respect and boundaries with them. But if you want my advice, talk to them about how it feels for you all. You need to feel respected, they need to feel more secure about your safety and perhaps you need that as well. Perhaps you could find a solution that suits you all?"
"I, I'll talk to them. Thank you, Donna"
She nodded at you, and you could tell that the speaking had drained her. Even with your regular visits, she preferred to stay quiet most of the time. Talking could take a lot out of her. You appreciated that she had offered her advice despite that.
You were offered a few minutes of silence before there was a sudden pounding at the door, shocking you both. Angie immediately jumped over into Donna's arm and you gestured for them both to stay put as you went for the door.
You were surprised to come face to face with your boyfriends when you opened the door. Before you could even speak, you were pulled into their arms and could feel their racing heartbeats.
"You were just at Donna's, okay, okay," Karl breathed out, still holding onto you when Ethan stepped back.
"We are so sorry. For the argument, for uh, nearly breaking down Donna's door, all of it." Ethan said, offering you an apologetic smile. "But then you disappeared to get some air and you didn't take your phone and it's been hours. We kind of panicked."
"I am sorry for being an ass, but I would appreciate it if you kept your phone on you." Karl's voice was muffled as he pressed his face into your shoulder.
"I'm sorry, time got away from me. I didn't mean to make you worry." You reached over to squeeze Ethan's hand as you rubbed circles onto Karl's back. "If you let me go, I'll say goodbye to Donna and we can head home?"
It took a moment for you to be released, but they both stepped back, Ethan asking you to apologize to Donna for their brusque entrance.
Donna was sitting calmly on the couch, clearly having relaxed once she recognized the voices. She waved at you as you said your goodbyes, Angie sitting on her lap.
"I still think you should try my idea," the doll said, "But either way, you're coming back for tea again soon, okay?"
"Of course, Angie, I wouldn't miss it for the world."

He needed more then me (Finney blake) PT 1
(inspired by a song😉 called tears over bears)
SUMMARY
you have had a crush on finney blake for over two years and known him since u both were in diapers. you both feed off each other energy and u thought he liked u back but he rejected u bc of donna.
Text
ur mum has been friends with the blake’s dad since i was born. and u and finn has been besties including gwen, u lived right next to them so u would always come over and play. you’ve had a MASSIVE crush on him and u thought he liked u back as well but u were wrong.
It was monday. the worst day bc we have to go to school. on the way there i felt two hands on my shoulder boosting him self up, and just as u thought it was finney. gwen laughed silently as u got a little scared thinking it was a rando, “morning guys!” you said cheerfully “morning!” gwen and finney said matching my mood. “ finn what class do u have first?” i asked hoping it was science “ oh i have science!” he said already knowing my schedule “we can walk together!” he offered “of course!” i squealed.
when we arrived to school we headed straight to our class, the teacher was talking about space which finney seamed rlly interested in while u were just doodling “ok now we’re gonna be doing projects so pls pick ur partners” the teacher said using hand gestures, i stayed sat thinking me and finney were partners but he stood up and walked over to donna. i thought wth he just fled to her, “oh miss brown do u not have a partner?” the teacher asked even though it was obvious he was trying to embarrass me. “yea i don’t sir” i said looking down slightly “ok u can work by ur self” he said smiling i glanced over at finney to see him staring at u with an apologetic look while the bell rang, u had a free session n u knew finney had one to do u quickly got out the room even tho u knew finney was calling ur name.
“YN wait!” finney called out waiting for u to stop but again u didn’t all u did was turn around to see him right on ur tail, u knew he was gonna catch up anyways so u stopped dead in ur tracks behind the bleachers “what.” u said coldly “ i’m sorry i didn’t know that u wanted to be partners. donna asked me yesterday n i thought it would be ok” he said stuttering slightly “ and u didn’t think to tell me? finney we’ve always been partners even u made it a promise. and also are u that oblivious?! i’ve liked u since we were 9 and u couldn’t tell?! i gave so many hints and u couldn’t take them!” you said out of breath and basically yelling at him. “what? i’m so sorry yn but i don’t like u that way. but i hope we can still be friends?” he said while i ran away from embarrassment, i was crying while i bumped into robin…

watching the new doctor who special bc this is, first and foremost, a dw fan account. blogging my thoughts
Episode 1
i’m a bit weary of reboots and stuff and i know this will be self indulgent but i have hope bc rtd but we’ll see
i forgot they made donna part of a swirl relationship
omg angst
did rtd manage to make dw child friendly and also profound
well i’m sure they also had to tone it down bc disney
ong they killed her
wtf r the next two episodes gonna be about
omg they made rose like… woah
omg
wow
what if i got emotional
the non binary thing with donna’s rose was like.. lazy tho
i liked the maternal metacrisis solution tho
and they’re going back and rewriting the doctors sexuality but i will excuse it because it’s rtd and an openly gay doctor would have been a hard sell in 08, i guess. also he had that thing with rose
i do partly feel that they were relying on the past grandeur and lore of the show which obviously worked on me but like i generally think it’s lazy
Episode 2
THIS EPISODE IS CRAZY
rtd did not dissapoint
i liked the beginning with newton
the Creaturss r so good
that scene of ten screaming and yelling and hitting the grate me lmao
this is crazy wow
they made them look so fucked up ddujfgjjjfg
what is the mavity
THE FUCKING BREAK INTO THE GALLOP cjfjdjdjd
oh no oh fuckkkkk
oh my god
rtd will threaten to kill the main characters and it will work every time
yeah this one is probably the best out of the three
idk maybe i’m biased bc i liked the plot but the character building and the writing from an objective standpoint with the theme of the mini series binaries and what we hide away and what happens when we are reflected back to ourselves, and how it is distorted- representative of how we see our own self. u know
but mavity tho … was it just for laugh or at i’m i missing something
Episode 3
o fuck i forgot nph was in this ..:/
his fake german lsnjds
doctor who has ai wtf what is that robot
oh this is interesting…
oh god it’s about privacy in the digital age and screens
there’s an evil puppet hiding in our screens
what an interesting social critique..
All World Leaders Are Being Affected By The Giggle
the toy maker concept is actually pretty interesting and definitely reminds me of like the literary jester i just feel like they were relying too much on the toy makers mystique to impress us
women and gender studies majors would have massive words to say about the doctor birthing scene
the catch scene is actually pretty cool
the puppet as a symbol for the biblical christ , the toymaker, the all knowing Creator
and i did like what rtd was trying to say as far as rage and believing you are right
omg ten hugging 15(?)
our blobo finally got the hug he needed
the master callback yes down to the nail polish
good 2 know a twink will still be speed walking around the tardis
so ten got his family and his happy ending…
now ether are two tardis’s. they’re fucking with canon, but its not new.
