okay i know this is a month late, but here are my drarry recs for new readers

away childish things by lettered is one of the best. auror harry is de-aged by a potion accident and draco has to take care of him while trying to solve the case. it's a great place to start.

who we are in the shadows by quicksilvermaid is another auror (adjacent) harry fic that i really enjoy. it's a case fic, so high action and high stakes.

harry potter and the welcome to the world of grey by sobsicles is the absolute best morally grey harry potter fic. i've read so many with that tag, and this one is leagues above the rest. it takes place right after sirius dies.

i'm a veela draco fan, i've read probably every fic with that tag. so i recommend soup-pocalyspe and the great curry cataclysm by squadofcats and feather by shushu_yaoi_lj

finally, i recommend in the hand by aideomai which utilizes one of my favorite tropes, a multi universe story. it's short and sweet, but so entertaining and amazing.

there are a lot more that i really love, i think i've read like 200 drarry fics at this point and have liked and loved to so many of them.

Hi, thank you so much for helping all of us! I'm searching for a fic that I read about a year ago on AO3. It was finished and the rating was either explicit or mature. The fic is post-war and Harry is a werewolf. Whether Draco is a creature or not, I can't remember. It was a get-together fic and dealt a lot with Harry's changed needs. He really needs his family close, especially around the moon. I remember that smell was important and that Harry's wolf saw Ron as his second in command or something. Also, there are suppressants that keep him from changing during the full moon but make him feel miserable and in a lot of pain during the time. I think I remember a detail in which Harry comes to the Burrow and George is there and they hug because Harry needs closeness. Could also have been Bill. I hope you can find it. Thank you :)

(original post here) — this fic will never not be special. these were a lot of work but they remind me of a very special summer and autumn of sitting in the park embroidering and i love that they’re a set of two, with the iconic landscapes. i just love how they are different but complement each other! it makes me think i’d love to make more matching sets actually 👀

(original post here) — talk about texture!! this was one of those that took AGES and a lot of patience to keep going and going and going with the same bloody stitch. a lot of textile art is trusting the process, and this one put me through it a bit. i love the end result so much though! it's so colourful and bright and i love that i even made the wee trees at the bottom work, which was terrifying after spending so many hours on the base layer haha

(original post here) — i mean, look at this wee fella, how could i not love him to death 🥺 i LOVE filling in colour with long and short stitch. satin stitch is satisfying but i just love the depth and dimension long and short stitch give pieces. until this piece though, i'd never dared do it in darker colours! i think it takes a lot more finesse and you can lose a lot of detail with the darker thread. i took a chance because i really, REALLY wanted to embroider HIM specifically for xanthippe's fic, and the effort absolutely paid off. i am no longer scared of darker colours and he makes me smile every time i see him

this got super long to no one's surprise but it was a pleasure to look at these! i think i tend to overanalyse (and worry over) my writing a lot more than i do my embroidery so this was really fun! thank you again <3

19. What's a fic that you stayed up all night to finish?

According to my partner, all of them lol! We have an ongoing joke that when they go to bed, I stay up for "three more hours." Usually it's only ten more minutes, but oh the temptation is tough!

I remember staying up late for this one, specifically because it was so intense and I could! not! put! it! down! until I made it all the way to the end! It was so smouldering and fun and sexy and the plot kept me guessing the whole time!

What happens when you’re forced to become the very thing you despise?

Ex-Auror Harry Potter, tossed out of the Ministry for something he had no control over, has been looking for a way back to his former life. When he comes across Draco Malfoy in the criminal underbelly of Wizarding London and in need of protection, Harry figures bringing him in to face the Ministry's justice is his ticket back to everything he's lost.

But nothing is exactly as it seems. Not even Harry himself. And as he gets drawn further and further into Malfoy's world of honour and deception he finds himself questioning everything he thought he knew—about his childhood nemesis, the Ministry job he misses so much, and most of all, about himself.

25. What's your favorite line from a fic?

Okay, so I'm terrible at remembering specific lines from fics. I looked through a fic I loved, and picked a line from that.

"Harry’s love is in his actions. 

It’s how he brings me a cup of tea if I’m working late, setting it down and kissing the top of my hair without disrupting me."

I very much believe love is not just something you feel, but something you do. It's a choice you choose every day, over and over again. You choose to "walk the line" and respect your partner and their boundaries. What is love but choosing to care for someone else's comforts, to care for their joys and pains? I love that this line shows Draco recognizing Harry's love, a love that in this fic is clearly not one sided as we see Draco's own actions that display his love too. Love that is only felt is not enough. Love requires action, and I appreciate seeing that recognized in the fic.

Hi,

I am searching for a fic from AO3, rated E and I can't find it. Potter is a werewolf and before he was bitten I think he was an Auror. After his bit he works as a bodyguard for Malfoy. Malfoy is the head(?) or really high up of an organisation. Idk if criminal or not. Harry thinks Draco doesn't know that he is a werewolf, but he does.

I also think in this fic there is a secene were Draco meets with another business man/criminal who wants to make a deal and flirts with Draco and Draco filtrs back to get the deal. The man is also a werewolf and it makes Harrypossessive and jealous.

I am sorry I can't think of anymore. Also thank you so much for all the work you are doing !
