i'm so sorry i'm so late (life is crazy actually), but you've got me thinking anon 🫶🏼

✨ some things i think gentleman boyfriend chan would do: ✨

• you are never carrying your own luggage again. you finally make it to aus to visit with chan & his family. as soon as you message to let him know you're here, he's basically running out of the house in the first pair of shoes he finds to grab all of your bags before you get the chance to. if you protested, he'd give in and let you hold a small bag/carry on... just long enough for him to get the other luggage into the house and grab the rest from your hands.

• he is taking care of anything you could possibly need at a restaurant. you'd rather him order for you? done. you got a big steak that may take you a while to get cut up? he's already doing it. need the smallest thing from the waiter? he's (ever so kindly) flagging them down the second he realizes there's something you want. have a bunch of left-overs that you'd like to take home? if the restaurant doesn't pack it up themselves, he's automatically taking your plate to get it into the box for you. no questions asked.

• you are simply not allowed to be cold ever again. at his house, he's always giving you a new sweater/hoodie to wear. if you got out and feel a bit chilly, his jacket is now yours. he's constantly making fun of you for being cold, so he's buying you beanies left and right, telling you to pop one on like it'll solve all your problems (bc apparently it does for him).

• you will NEVER feel scared or unprotected. when walking with you, there's never a moment he's disconnected from you as he watches you walk in front of him. when you get concerned over bad things you'd heard on the local news, he insists he stays at your place to make sure you feel safe. when he senses you feeling nervous out in public, he squeezes the hand he's holding before rubbing light circles on it, reminding you that he's there and that he won't let anything bad happen.

• he's making sure to keep a respectful image of you. if you're wearing a short dress while out, he will give you his coat to rest over your legs. if he notices paparazzi taking photos of you together, he will move himself so that he's blocking their view of you. when running into fans while on the street with you, he introduces you right away so they know that you are now a package deal with him.

• and finally, he probably WON'T stop flirting with stays on bubble, BUT he will dial it wayyyy back. and that's saying a lot for him <3

i actually really like their relationship, its a really complex dynamic that i like to talk about with my friends

i think the issue is that when talking about mithan or mia in general, theres just SO MUCH misinformation that its honestly a pain the butt to talk about

people still think that she was responsible for the creation of eveline, people still think that she experimented on eveline, people still use examples of her attacking ethan as if she did it on her own will instead of being mind controlled

in reality she was just someone who oversaw the transportation of evie. im not excusing her or anything because obviously she knew what she was doing, but people really try to accuse her of doing something she didnt and it bothers me alot lol

the problem with the fandom is that people either try to water her down to girlboss who did nothing wrong and fail to acknowledge the complexity/ moral grayness of her character and the other side is misogynists 😭😭😭😭

its hard to talk about her without people either going "stop trying to villainize her and make her look bad!" or people ACTUALLY villainizing her and acting like heisenberg would have treated him better 😭😭

mithan is such a sad relationship because they loved each other so much and that ended up being the reason their relationship fell apart (sort of... its not like the broke up... ethan kinda just straight up died)

i get a lot a trouble for saying this, but mia is a selfish person.

its not a bad thing! well i mean it is but it doesnt make her some evil witch who is somehow worse than the guy how made a werewolf american ninja warrior. its just a major character flaw she has! which is good! mia being a flawed person who makes mistakes and morally gray decisions make her a more interesting person!

she is selfish in the way that she wants to keep her family with her no matter the cost. even if it means lying to ethan about her job so that he wont think different of her. here is a interrogation from the re7 DLC, which is easy to miss!

she isnt necessarily trying to apologize for the things she has done, she is more of a, "u wont need to forgive me in the first place if we just forget it all and move on"

she doesn't try to redeem herself for what she has done, she tries to move on and return to the normal life that she wants so bad. which is fine! everyone copes a different way and she has to right to move on from her trauma. the problem that lies in this is that she has a shared trauma with ethan who still has no idea what went on in dulvey and still effects him till the present (he is mold! this is a important thing to know! most people would want to know if they were a walking corpse)

she played a direct part in what happened in dulvey, and im not referring to the email, she did not send that. she never wanted ethan to come in the first place. she tried her best to send a video to him, begging him to forget about her because she wanted to protect him, BUT it didnt send.

he got involved because she was involved. its honestly a series of really really unfortunate events.

THOUGH! she did know what she was getting into. im tired of seeing the narrative that mia was innocent and didnt know what was going on or was simply a bystander. she knew what she was doing, she knew eveline was a bioweapon, she knew eveline was a child. she used a MACHINE GUN! she knows how to use weapons and was obviously trained for it.

she tried her best to keep everybody out of the mess, ex: warning the bakers not to take them in, warning ethan not to find her, sacrificing herself for ethan in the later half of re7

but again, those are the consequences of HER actions

her consequences just happen to get really big and end up hitting ethan on the head like a metal sheet 😭

their relationship is really so interesting, it makes me really sad to think about sometimes 😭they both went through something that nobody else would ever understand, in the end they really only have each other. they get moved to an entire different country and the dulvey incident gets covered up with a "gas leak"

its really tragic because their marriage definitely had some flaws and bumps. and i know im repeating myself but its because people always take this in the worst way possible but just because i say their relationship was rocky doesnt mean im saying they dont love each other!!! thats the entire basis of mias character!! saying she doesnt love ethan would destroy her entire character!

you can see in the re8 DLC how fondly ethan talks about mia! he loves her so much, though im not sure if his comments in the DLC are him narrating current (post re8) or his thoughts before everything went down and he died (pre re8)

everything mia did was because she LOVED ethan. she would never do anything to intentionally hurt him, she is not a cruel person. she hides the truth of her job from ethan pre re7 because she loves him and doesnt want her job to drive them apart. she CONTINUES to refuse to tell ethan the truth post re7 because she wants to move on a live a happy normal life with him and knows something like her being directly associated with the connections would probably cause (more) problems. she refuses to tell ethan that he is mold because again, hard to live a happy marriage with your husband after you tell him hes a bioweapon.

obviously i dont think it was right that she did this, thats what makes her selfish! she did it for herself! she did it for her family! she thought it would work out, she thought that they could move on and be happy together.

the issue is that ethan didnt want to forget. he wanted to know what happened, he wanted to know the part mia played, he wanted answers! which is reasonable! he knows to some extent that mia was partially responsible for his involvement and he was always suspcious that mia was lying to him about her job which is implied when mia says "you were right, i did lie to you"

she doesnt learn, she doesnt stop lying, her lies get bigger and worse and it sucks yeah but it makes her so interesting!!! she keeps doing stupid things under the idea that this is whats best for her and her family, that if she hides this everything will work out and it will be for the better but its not!

just because telling your husband hes dead and a bioweapon is a hard subject to bring up doesnt mean you DONT bring it up. people shouldnt use that as a reason to excuse mia 😭, its a very bad excuse and honestly highlights how horrible their communication skills were. you cant just not tell your husband that he is actually infected with the mold and not tell him for the tree years between post re7 and pre re8.

im not saying these things to put mia down, or try and villanize her. these are all just actual things her character does! she isnt evil, but she isnt a knight in shining armor either. we need to be able to have talks about complex characters without crying everytime someone points out a flaw. characters have flaws! and mia just happens to have a lot of them!

im not mad at her, i dont dislike her because i think this way of her. shes a fictional character! you can like characters that are morally gray, or villains that drink blood and make corpse soldiers. they are fictional! pointing out the flaws of a character does not mean i dont like them.

i wouldnt call her "the real villain of re8" but i wouldnt treat her like a damsel in distress either. she is a competent person, she knows what shes doing, she has her reasons for doing them. she made bad descions with good intentions behind them! they can coexist and we should let them!

i like mithan! its a complex relationship because they both love each other so much but hurt each other in the process

talking about them is just a pain in the butt because talking about mia is a pain in the butt lol

i really hate how she keeps getting sidelined, its super frustrating to see mia get put in a cage in every game 😭

its even more frustrating that mia straight up just disappears???? in the shadows of rose DLC... like she just stops taking care of rose and theres nothing said about it. no reason or explanation. i dont think mia would ever ditch rosemary because she didnt care about her, but we probably will never know because capcom sucks at writing and they probably forgot the mia ever even existed.

all in all, i think the fandom is really just full of misinformation which make people either think mia is some horrible evil person, or its full of people who think that saying mia messed up is the equivalent of comparing her to wesker lol.

i really love mia, shes a incredibly fun and complex character, its just hard to enjoy her sometimes with the people in the fandom haha.

✨ My BSD hot takes/unpopular opinions ✨:

1. Identifying BSD characters as Queer, is not problematic. STOP being so Heteronormative. Gay characters are not gonna kill you.

If I see another "BuT tHe ChArAcTeRs nEvEr SaId tHeY aRe GaY" I would bomb you 💣/j

2. Skk/SSKK/Fyolai/other popular ships, exist because people like it. If you don't ship them, don't engage with their content. Not all shippers act crazy and toxic. Stop blaming everything on shippers.

3. Atsushi/Kyouka is problematic, stop justifying it with "only 4 year age gap". Kyouka is a CHILD, ship her with Kenji if you want. Atsushi, like a normal 18 year old would never look at a highschool freshman and date her. Even if they date in the future, he knew her when she was younger and they had a sibling like dynamic. Lucy is a way better love interest to Atsushi (Don't know if this is an unpopular opinion tho, but I saw some people justifying it 😐😐😐)

4. DAZAI IS NOT EVIL. HE IS FAR FROM EVIL. He is, despite being super popular and the face of BSD, the most mischaracterized and villified character. Morally grey characters exist??!!!

5. Mori is a way worse person than Dazai ever was.

6. PM members get a free pass for any heinous crime they commit by being hot or babygirl-ified (still love them tho, we do not often discuss how bad their actions have been, you can like criminals and acknowledge they are criminals in fiction. I would add DoA to this too, but it's worse with the PM)

7. Akutagawa's abuse of Kyouka shouldn't be forgotten just because Dazai abused Akutagawa.

8. Mori emotionally manipulated and abused Dazai when he was a teen. Just because it wasn't physical, doesn't mean it was nothing.

9. Atsushi is NOT a soft boy, he is way bitter, salty and sarcastic than we give him credit

10. Poe is important to Ranpo and their friendship/relationship is wholesome as hell

11. Ranpo and Yosano's friendship is way better than them being in a relationship in the future

12. FukuFuku is better than Fukumori (imo!!!!)

13. Buying real authors work after watching BSD is actually a really good thing, since more Gen z kids (or other people) will read classics

14. There are layers to Atsushi and Akutagawa relationship/rivalry, and they have the MOST important relationship (not meaning romantic, just in general) in the entire canon.

15. Kunikida and Yosano could be a power couple

16. Fyodor is not a great villain (yet)

17. Nikolai CARRIES the DoA

18. Sigma shouldn't be in the ADA, he needs a happy home, family and some time to adjust to normal life

19. Q and Elise are both underused characters and could become a great dynamic

20. Ango deserves more love, the amount of pressure and stress he deals with is INSANE

21. It's OKAY if everyone joins the fandom for Dazai or skk (I did at first too!!)

22. Higuchi is annoying as hell. I do not get her hype, I like her but not as much as most people (just personal opinion, do not flame me 😭)

23. Everyone in The Guild is forgettable or boring (except Fitzgerald, Poe and Lucy. I like Louisa, but I forget her all the time)

24. Hetero ships are just not that great/interesting in BSD to me 🤷🏻‍♀️ (except maybe AtsuLucy or rare pairs) and female characters are not best utilised, I wish they play more major roles (can't wait for Agatha to arrive!!)

25. Some fan theories/arts get the story better than "canon" stuff at times. Fanon is NOT always the worst (sometimes enjoyable when the canon gets too dark or sad)

26. Toxic ships are okay in fiction as long as they are legal. Humans like toxic things, we consume it like junk food 💅🏻

Does fanfic exist of SaShiSu just being housemates? I need this AU so bad 😭

Like I want more wholesome shenanigans between the three of them...

Like, I need more content of just Satoru, Shoko, and Suguru being the best of friends going through ups and downs together, navigating through that phase in life where high school ends and university days begin.

Satoru is the rich friend and wanted to buy the three of them a house with his parents' money, but Suguru and Shoko refuse and are adamant about showing rich boy what it's like to live in the real world.

So they rent a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom apartment unit... (Satoru and Suguru share a bathroom, and Shoko gets her own bathroom, for obvious reasons). It's still pretty upscale compared to most, but they all agreed to pitch in for the rent and utilities.

I want to see moments where Satoru learns how to do laundry, moments where Suguru figures out how to make the perfect fried rice recipe, moments where Shoko stays up super late to study and the boys stay up with her and help her with flash cards and stuff.

They have game nights, movie nights, spring cleaning days, laundry days.

I want to see friendship fights and friendship fluff afterwards.

I want to see moments where they have personal emergencies, and they each know how to take care of each other.

I want to see them get drunk together. Satoru gets wasted first because he's a lightweight and he RARELY drinks. He consumes alcohol like once a year and only because he lost to Suguru in a bet.

They're each other's best wingman and wing-woman and they roast each other so hard, like only best friends can.

They see each other's best qualities and know each other's worst habits.

I want to see Satoru whining and complaining when he keeps finding black and brown strands of hair everywhere. He also finds stray hair clips and hair ties in the most random places.

I need to hear Shoko complain about all the random shit Satoru and Suguru keep buying and placing around the house. They don't even need most of it. One or two or five is fine, but sometimes it accumulates and ends up cluttering the kitchen counters and takes up valuable cooking space.

(Like why do we need Digimon figurines in the kitchen? Why do jars of multi-colored marbles keep multiplying on available counter spaces?)

I want to see Suguru being passive-aggressive, sassy, and petty about his two housemates not carrying their own weight when it comes to housework. Suguru's toxic trait is that he refuses other people's help when it comes to cleaning because he has a way of doing things that he MUST follow and NO ONE is allowed to mess with it, but he gets annoyed when people don't help him while he's cleaning.

I want to see them juggle part-time jobs and college schoolwork... Well, Shoko and Suguru would get jobs. Satoru is a nepo-baby.

Even if Satoru is a nepo-baby, he at least knows what normal people (like you and me) do to function and live in a society drenched in capitalism, and it's all thanks to Suguru and Shoko.

When Shoko and Suguru struggle to make ends meet financially, it's Satoru to the rescue! They rarely ask for his help, obviously, but rich boy finds out anyway and if he can help, HE WILL HELP.

The three of them are family at this point.

If you date any one of them, just know that they're a package deal. You can't have one without the two.

I want a disney movie with the three of them as main characters, basically -- where friendship and family love saves the day! 🙌

Chapter summary: How do you react when someone gives out your number without letting you know? Simple: poorly.

Content warning: family-centric content, Max Verstappen and Lester being a duo of menaces, some Brits flirting or something, a filler chapter, brief use of explicit language.

“Ouch! What the fuck—“ Max looked up to meet Lester’s bright eyes darkening. He spewed out, “You need to start saying, “Hello, Max. How are you Max” instead of shaking the IQ off my head.” 

“Well it’s not like you’ll have a lower brain to worry about, hm?” Lester scowled before showing the screen of her phone to him. He looked closely, almost shoving the phone in his face as he read the content. 

“Yeah, what about it?” Max Verstappen, if anything, wouldn’t do anything that’ll hurt his reputation at Red Bull. He was the golden boy of the team— the one who’ll continuously bring the World Championship to the Red Bull headquarters. So if there’s anything that everyone knew, it’s that he wouldn’t be seen dead talking to Toto Wolff, the Mercedes AMG Petronas Team Principal. 

What everyone didn’t know however was that Max Verstappen, the Red Bull Racing favourite, was still trying to get an approval from Toto. Not for any racing business matter, of course. God, he would never ever disdain Christian Horner like that.

But instead, he wanted to be civil with the older man for the sake of his girlfriend. He had been dating Sylvie Hearth for as long as he could remember. Well… three to four years, if he was to estimate. Yet throughout those years, he never had a full conversation with Toto. At least that’s what he told Lester one time. 

What Lester knew was that he couldn’t last long when he’s talking to Toto even if it’s over the dining table. “I think he sees me as if I’m Christian or something,” he said once with terror in his eyes, “I’m not even there to talk about racing!” And according to Max, the strict demeanour of Toto Wolff scared him to the point where he thinks that the reaction that he gets from the older man only applies to some incompetent fool like Charles Leclerc. Or himself.

So with Max giving Lester’s number to Toto, he was certain he could take a step forward with relief. 

“You know: if you weren’t such a shithead when Sylvie was still karting, you probably would have more chances being liked by Toto,” Lester reached out to pinch Max on his side, only for him to let out a giggle instead of a wince. “You’re so lucky that he’s so kind to me because if he isn’t you’re going to be one meter deep into the ground right now. You gave him my number!”

“Do you have any other way to show your affection besides physical touches?” Max glared at Lester, only to recoil when he received a glare back from her. “I had to give it to him! It’s either your number or my legs!”

“Ugh. Tilly should have told me that she’s about to have a fool for an in-law,” Lester hissed, watching as he remained as equally petulant as her. “Some warning would be so goddamn nice.”

“Oi,” Max poked her side as she slapped his finger away, “you’re no Saint either, Lester.”

“I’ve attended my confessional appointment already, thank you very much,” Lester retorted. “You’d probably melt down by the time you reach the doors of the church.”

“So rude,” Max huffed out, “I don’t know what Daniel saw in you.”

“I dunno what he saw in you either,” Lester quipped, “because it sure as hell isn’t your face nor personality.”

The sight of the two would be quite an entertainment for Daniel, if he was even watching the two. Lester and Max didn’t truly hate each other–the other just keeps hogging Daniel’s time. Maybe after all of this, she should ask Toto to eat Max for breakfast. Maybe he’ll learn. 

Max gave up and sighed, “I already gave it to Toto. What am I going to do?”

“Uh, beg for forgiveness?” Lester raised a brow. Max stared at her dully. “Whatever. At least I’ll get to spend more time with the kids.” Instead of pinching him again, Lester only huffed in annoyance before walking away with a cup of tea in her hand. She didn’t even listen to his protest for her to come back, asking her about Toto’s kids–his nephews and niece. 

"Oi! Tia and Soren are coming?" "Whatever, you gave my number."

Across the buffet restaurant her eyes landed on Lando’s figure, her feet automatically turning and walking in his direction. She was greeted by him, George and Alex before she was invited to sit with them. Her boyfriend was somewhere but it wasn’t like he needed her right now. 

“Sooo,” she leans forward with a wag of her brows, “what’s the gossip? Have you seen any cute boys lately?” 

George reached to pinch Lando’s cheek and said with a high pitched tone, “There’s one right here. Here’s our little eye candy!” 

Lando grunted, slapping George’s hand away before rubbing his reddening cheek. “You’re the bloody eye candy! Why don’t you take more shirtless photos and post them on Instagram? Boost the Mercedes fans’ morale a little. Fucking ‘ell.” 

“Are you flirting with me Lando?” George joked with a cheeky smile. "Am I that irresistible that you want my shirt off?"

Alex and Lester shared a look, simultaneously shrugging at the sight in front of them. 

“Gross, you literally look like the bottom of my foot,” Lando squinted his eyes, pointing at George with a fork in hand. 

“Ew,” both Lester and Alex cringed at the thought. It’s not the kind of thing that you should say first thing in the morning.

“Naw, you’re flirting with me, Lan-lan.” 

“The fuck? Did you use something worse than a spliff this morning or wha’?”

“You guys need to take that to your room,” Lester coughed out, sipping on her tea while she hid the smile behind the lid. "It's getting intense and hot in here."

“You don’t see me whining in your comment section about keeping it in your room, do you?” Lando shot back at the woman. Lester stuck out a middle finger, watching as Lando flipped her off as well. 

“What a beautiful morning, huh, George?” Alex asked the British man, ignoring the quarreling people in front of them. 

“It’s a good time for tea,” George nodded. 

“Oh! Speaking of tea,” Lester exclaimed and slapped her hands down on the table, thud noise making the three’s eyes widen in shock. “Max is so scared of Toto that he gave my number to him.” 

“The lengths that he’d go through just to impress Toto is way beyond me,” George huffed out. 

“Of course, a Mercedes driver would say that,” Alex scoffed at George’s response before mocking him, “Look at me I’m George, I drive for Mercedes. I’m practically Toto’s son.” 

“Wai’ why— why would Max give your number to him?” Lando asked, looking for a context to Lester’s abrupt change of topic. 

She sighed, “Just some… job to do.” 

“Are we finally working together?” George asked, his bright eyes widening. 

“No. It’s something to do for Toto,” Lester shrugged before shaking herself out of her own thoughts, “you’ll see eventually.” 

As if she’s running out of words, Lester leaned back against her chair and sipped on her tea. She zoned out, wondering how she had managed to get away from her job for the weekend… only for her to get a part time job being Toto Wolff’s children’s babysitter. 

That would make a good LinkedIn job profile.

And imagine if sjm wrote it solely to show in the next book that it was an outside force influencing his thoughts? What then? Cuz sjm surely didn't write it in a way that seems natural. Clotho said/wrote "she deserves something as beautiful as this and i thank you for the joy it shall bring to her" and all of a sudden there's a spark in his chest and he can see an image of gwyns teal eyes? Even though moments ago he thought that he wouldn't consider gwyn a friend? And how did sjm word his thought about seeing the image? "For whatever reason... he could see it" doesn't seem like he naturally thought of her. If he did it wouldn't be "for whatever reason".

•His shadows, acted unusual. Did not sense gwyns present before he was there.

• His actions, not in his control. He had every intention to return the necklace to the shop but found himself standing before Clotho as the clock chimed seven in the evening.

• His thoughts, seems to be under some sort of influence. Otherwise he wouldn't be like "for whatever reason".

That scene was not written to have romantic undertone. It was written to be suspicious and eerie. And sjm did her best on hofas to prove the gwynriel "mate bond theory" wrong. But y'all took it as parallel language/hints.

"Like if hes the man you want for Elain thats just sad honestly, this is a romance book, I want my male endgames absolutely smitten and invested in the fmcs, with NO turning back once it started, but I guess thats just me"

Lol Then why do you ship gwynriel ? Azriel has zero romantic feelings for gwyn.

I’m so happy you put this together! They actually serve as examples of how WHOLESOME that scene was.

I see literally zero evidence that all of this was because of Gwyn’s powers that we haven’t even had the confirmation of, and in no way it was written eerily. It was written to be wholesome. It was the perfect antithesis to the wrongness of the scene with Elain. I am so sorry that your ship sank.

His shadows were content with her. They skittered AWAY with Elain (this is a bad connotation in contrast)

“He found himself” is a term that is ALWAYS used when mates find themselves doing something they didn’t expect, he wasn’t being controlled, but believe what you want without any canon evidence. He found the necklace was going to give it back but thought someone might like it, so he found himself taking it to her.

“For whatever reason” is just a way to say he didn’t know why, not because it is eerie, if it was he at least would have SOME type of suspicion on it, but he just tucked the glowing spark in his chest away inside him, like how you tuck something inside of your pockets. He could have said “he shoved those weird thoughts away” but he didn’t did he…?

Look, this is a fantasy book, it’s not that serious but you gotta admit you’re reaching at some point. The scene was so obviously romantic in a way Azriel (nor us) were expecting it. And after that scene, we never got even a whiff of elriel while we got even more Gwynriel golden banter, and remember, hes the new ribbon ✨

If anything, even if Gwyn’s powers were “guiding him” which won’t happen because thats stupid and negates too much of Gwyn’s character, it will only add to their story, a parallel of them both thinking they’re monsters, but realizing they too are worthy of love, because what will not happen is Gwyn being evil/a villain, shes an incredible character, an SA survivor, part of Nesta’s incredible found family, SJM modelled her after one of her friends, think again.

Elriel sank by itself with his messed up thoughts about Elain, him just wanting to have one night of fucking her, saying he has not had ONE THOUGHT about a plan to be with her, did not correct Rhys on what’s his status regarding Mor, told her it was a mistake (could’ve used anything other than that), displayed toxic behavior that we know Elain is against (saying he will fight in a duel for her and kill her mate?) and even realized he had been RIGHT to stay away from her.

But yeah blame the “lightsinger” for all of this too i guess??

I wonder if William thinks about fatherhood, given his age in the nhl world players are often married with a baby by now. For me after I graduated something clicked and I think about it every time I’m with my nieces/nephews. I wonder if men have that same paternal instinct. It seems he would be a gentle parent, laid back but stern and understanding. Awww💕

I’d like to think that he does 🌺 I’ve been thinking about it a lot as well and given that so many in his circle, like Pasta, are getting married and having children I feel that it would only be natural for him to think it that direction 😊

Personally I can relate to how you’ve thought bb - I’ve been there as well, even got close to taking the step but decided it wasn’t time yet ❤️

A part of me thinks that Williams rather content with his lifestyle - like he’s feeling free and can just focus on his career. But I do also think that perhaps he’s feeling a bit lonely at times ❤️ I know he’s got his friends and family (and beloved dogs), but maybe he’s craving that wholesome feeling of having a partner in his life to love and support him through everything ✨ especially when he sees how his teammates are all experiencing it 💕

I do also think William would be an amazing father - not sure if he’s still got some maturing into it to do, but I can definitely imagine him playing around with the young ones - definitely being the fun parent 😉💕

Jamiazujami "Detective"-Thief AU (Part 1)

A while back I mentioned a detective-thief jamiazu au to @pixiestickie and suddenly I blinked and had 3k+ worth of notes. I'll never make this into an actual thing beyond silly doodles and rambles but 'm a one-trick pony who can only write thieves and detectives and I needed to be self-indulgent and embarrassing. Cringe but free I guess. o)-(

Notes

Magic and world are relatively the same, except for the fact that the main cast does not meet at NRC. 

Aged-up to mid/late 20s. Everyone is done with their education and doing their own thing professionally. 

Because it is an AU, there are lots of creative licences taken with Asim-Viper family lore! 

Base Concept

The Scalding Sands is a peninsular nation comprising many arid deserts. They owe their current prosperity to the population developing agriculture techniques suited for their terrain and to the Asim family’s pioneering into maritime trade and the establishment of early maritime trade routes. This story is based on the premise that the Asim backstory is inspired by Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage in DisneySea. When the ride first opened in 2001, it was drastically different. In the original version, Sinbad was a thief/bandit that set out to sea and caused all kinds of problems before returning home with a lot of treasure (despite likely sacrificing a majority of sailors accompanying him in the process). The ride was refurbished in 2007, making it a lot more kid-friendly and wholesome. In the new storyline, Sinbad helps out those being terrorised by thieves and becomes their friend, and becomes mega rich due to the goodness of his own heart. In this story concept, the Asims are related to Sinbad while the Vipers are related to one of the thieves he stopped. Because Sinbad basically saves the thieves from getting mauled by ✨ the horrors ✨  they end up devoting their life and bloodline to serving Sinbad's family. Jamil hates it here! He starts researching the history of the family and ends up falling into a rabbit hole with records suggesting Sinbad might have originally been a bandit as well (reference to original ride) and he finds a lot of shady information revolving around many of the treasures and artefacts obtained by the Asim family and how they were handled throughout their history. He also comes across possible leads suggesting there was a —now lost— magic lamp among the treasury at some point. Craving power and freedom, Jamil concocts a plan to play a game of social politics via public heists as he serves Kalim.

Jamil creates a vigilante/thief persona that targets specific treasures once owned by the Asims across the globe, specifically following the clues that might lead him to the location of the lost magic lamp. He announces his target, brings public attention to it, steals it and reveals whatever shady information he’s learned about the item before delivering it to a museum or public institution. Though it appears “just” to the public eye, Jamil is doing it because it hurts the Asim's public image and reputation, and allows him to scope out the different treasuries and gather more leads on the possible location of the magic lamp. 

And then you might say. But Raffles/Kono/Arto! Jamil wouldn't do a showy/theatrical thief persona! And to that I say he's a smug and self-important little prick that likes outsmarting and manipulating people. This is the perfect way to get spotlight, attention, and showing off his abilities to his heart’s content without having his name and face attached to it. He can go all out and be as feral as he wants…as long as he doesn’t get caught. His goal is to completely destroy the Asim's reputation and make them out to be a family that has made their living out of theft throughout the centuries, while also hopefully locating the magic lamp in the process and gaining unlimited power for himself. It goes semi-smoothly for some time, and Jamil feels more arrogant by the day due to his success at humiliating the Asim’s attempts to stop him. 

Which brings us to Azul! Having been on land for some time now, Azul is a thriving businessman with an established brand and reputation. The lounge has expanded into a number of branches over the world, and he is involved with a variety of profitable endeavours both on land and at sea. He also offers consultation services to high profile clients for a pretty steep fee, and has the reputation of being able to solve any problem/fulfil any request as long as you can pay up. He's been trying to get in touch with the Asim family and get involved with the economy of the Scalding Sands but —much to his chagrin— all of his attempts at contact go completely ignored. At some point, rumours of a thief targeting assets/treasures/artefacts owned by the Asims start to surface and Azul sees it as a perfect opportunity to get his foot in. However, because offering his services directly hasn't worked, he decides to go the roundabout way and manipulate the situation and have THEM come to him. So, he manages to get entrances/invitations to an event he knows Kalim will be going to. With the tweels’ assistance, he identifies an attendee with motive to commit a crime; despite the fact that they don’t tell this person to do it directly, the three of them pressure and enable them into carrying it out during the event via psychological manipulation. All of this just so that Azul can make a grand deduction show out of revealing the culprit during the event (despite the fact he knew it was going to happen all along. You know, like a scammer.) He does this with the explicit intent of impressing Kalim and having him recruit his and the tweels’ assistance in pursuing the thief. To Jamil’s dismay, Kalim —always a sweet soul— falls for it, hook line and sinker.

Kalim signs a deal with Azul in which he promises a long-standing business sponsorship in exchange for catching the thief. However, due to the thief’s motives being so closely tied with the history of the Scalding Sands and the Asim family, it is ultimately decided that Azul & the Tweels will be staying in the Asim mansion for the duration of the investigation, allowing them to conduct in-depth research (including market and location research for the new Scalding Sands Mostro Lounge branch they’re bound to inaugurate once the matter is settled!). Thus! A cat and mouse chase where the investigator and culprit are cohabitating under the same roof and hiding their motives from one another ensues.

random, short teacher!ross idea : it's a day or two before the end of term, either christmas or summer is coming up (you decide) — both your classes are watching films, you + Ross sneak away for a bit... I wonder what you guys get up to...👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️

I’m going to go with christmas (what a shock, am I right?).

Like you said, maybe it’s the last day of term and you’ve put a christmas film on the projector for them all. Being the absolute angel of a teacher that you are, you’ve bought a few boxes of chocolates and some snacks for them, so they’re all having a ball, chatting away and watching a movie with their friends before they break up from school for two weeks. Ross has done exactly the same, all the kids so chilled out. All the marking has been done, and you’ve kind of just been tidying your classroom and tying up odd little jobs. You’re so excited to finish work and have a bit of break - I think you and ross would be spending christmas with his family, and then go on a little trip in the week between christmas and the new year.

He sends you a text message like ‘are you busy? xx’. You immediately text him back with a ‘currently mentally deciding the order of my favourite chocolates in a box of quality street. bored to tears.’ He laughs at that, messaging back ‘fancy a walk to the canteen? craving a coffee.’

You tell your class that you just need to nip into the stock cupboard for a second, but they’re all too busy talking between themselves to really care or notice your absence lol. He’s waiting in the hallway, leaning against the wall with his hands in his trouser pockets, grinning when he sees you hurriedly making your way to him. There’s a spring in your step because a) you have two hours until you’re off work for two weeks, and b) your boyfriend just looks so bloody hot and you’ve not seen him all morning (the horror!). There’s no one else in the corridor, with a lot of other teachers taking down displays at what not, so he bravely presses a chaste kiss to your cheek and takes your hand in his when you get to him. You ask him about his morning and how his classes are as you walk to the canteen, and his heart melts at the way you’re so engaged in what he’s telling you.

I know the ask suggested that they get up to some ✨interesting✨ things when they sneak away, but I think they’re just so in love with each other and content with their careers that they just want to pens as much time together as they can in a professional manner lol. Don’t get me wrong, he definitely fantasises about it all the time, whispering things in your ear and making you hot under the collar right before you have to deliver some kind of presentation to head of year, but today it’s kind of like you’re both so excited to spend two weeks uninterrupted with each other. The canteen is empty, so you sit at one of the tables, across from each other, drinking a coffee and sharing a slice of cake leftover from lunchtime. It’s so wholesome, and after like fifteen minutes you’re like we should probably go back lol.

You don’t see each other for the rest of the afternoon, but you’re so eager to leave when the days over that you rush to his classroom, coat and scarf already on and bag in hand. He finds it so cute - you’re all excited and smiley to spend time with him and he just loves it! I think that it’s now that they kind of get up to some stuff lol. He’s still packing up his laptop and some books he needs to take with him over the break, so you sit on the edge of his desk and watch him while he does so. You can see the muscles in his back through his shirt and you’re kind of staring, which definitely turns him on a bit. You end up making out on his desk, but you’re like can we please carry this on at home my arse hurts on this desk.

I'll admit, it feels weird that we'll possibly get a first look at Sonic 3 before the Knuckles show

I can completely understand that feeling. It is a bit odd, especially since the Knuckles spin-off series is dancing around in limbo right now. The discouragement and confusion is a valid feeling. I know that there’s quite a handful of people that are desperately waiting to hear the fate of the show.

As cheesy as it sounds, the best advice that I have to offer is to have a bit of faith. I’ll keep looking around on my end and see what’s happening with the show. Until then, I would absolutely recommend checking out the hashtags used for SCU. There’s lots of wholesome fluff of the Wachowski family to explore.
