#something is very obviously different about these two compared to my normal images on this blog. i acknowledge this #also the sv model is Really good. and since they always stare straight at the camera anyway… and no one pays attention to the background…#and the only high-quality phantump model i could find was so horribly shiny that its eyes were just white voids #in my defense‚ phantump always just stare straight at you in game #the lighting is different‚ yeah. that's probably the dead giveaway. beyond the background. but like. i'm the only being on the planet who #really likes phantump anyway. i feel like it's a generally forgettable pokémon to most folks #phantump #HELLO this one is a weird one. i have some explaining to do. so when i did this one i didn't know how to edit models really at all #and when i got the models for these‚ the xy models were super shiny. shiny to the point that it made their eyes fuckin invisible #and i decided that since you could barely tell it was phantump‚ i needed a different way to get these images #i remembered that in the SV dlc‚ every time you find a wild phantump‚ it just fucking. stares. at you. and i was like. aha #i kinda remembered because of the test stream that i did. tumblr user alligayytorr (am i getting the right amount of Ys) said #“haha i am getting a sneak peek” when i zoomed the camera in on a phantump. and i remembered that. and i was like. i can utilize this #and ended up using just an in-game screenshot of SV in replacement of the regular content. later on‚ after that #once we got into gen 7 and it became less and less reliable to find models‚ i had to learn how to edit them manually to remove the shine #i am a software dev. not a 3d modeler. this ended up coming down to editing the code of the models directly (which i ended up writing a #script to automate). now‚ today‚ january 22nd (the day of me writing these tags and updating this post)‚ i remembered this post was in the #queue and was not normal. so i went back‚ ran the script on the phantump and trevenant models‚ and unshinified them #then edited these two posts to be normal. i have left the original pictures i took under the cut for reference and as bonuses #because i really enjoy phantump. so that's why those images are there‚ and that's why these tags are here #just for posterity's sake‚ the folks who come here mostly for my commentary‚ i've left the ORIGINAL tags of the post when i initially #made it with the SV pictures up at the top (i wanted to rearrange them‚ but tumblr makes that Very difficult‚ so i left them as-is)#so if these tags are confusing to read i Apologize. but i hope now that you're at the bottom you understand what happened #i'm gonna go edit the trevenant post now

First time ever doing a fandom event and I had a blast! Made an animated cover art @ei-w's fic Green Rose Rebel.

The story is about Dora's tragic tale after a meeting with a certain ghost knight, and how it affects them both (plus there's a quick CW appearance!). I'm a sucker for stories where we see the ghosts' human origins, so it was a perfect match. Also, had so much fun talking with my author about the worldbuilding and all the details she was adding to the story!

(Just a head's up, it's a looping video with fade in and fade out effect, although it's not fast by my standards, thought it was fair to warn about it)

Has anyone thought about how maybe after Serizawa leaves Claw to join S&S he doesn't want to live alone (a combination of his years of isolation and living with everyone at Claw) and how maybe Reigen wouldn't mind having a roommate (it would cut his rent and keep him company), so perhaps instead of Serizawa getting his own place they decide moving in together would be more beneficial.

#If this is not an original thought please send me links because I want to see this idea #Or if you decide to make something send it to me as well #This just popped into my head since idk what housing is like over there but here it is a pain to even get an apartment #Like yeah I understand a background check and seeing that you make 2x rent as a household but still #How the heck would an ex terrorist who just got a probably minimum wage job be able to get an apartment himself #Unless Reigen signed on as a guarantor #But at that point it would still make more sense to share a place #Don't mind the fact that it's a single bedroom you see how college dorms work #And then you get your roommates to lovers troupe alongside every other troupe they fall under #Why wait to have them move in together!#Show them slowly getting comfortable together until one day they're sleeping in the same bed #and Reigen wakes up thinking “wait how did this happen”#Or if you're boring just have them be normal roommates. I know I just finished saying I like this fandom, but. We definitely still have our full quota of subtle fandom misogyny.

For example, the internet's two ~favorite~ characters are Astarion and Karlach, supposedly. But start a conversation about Astarion, and get six thousand pages of gushing essays about his trauma and his perspective and the subtle contradictions in his behavior and a universal acknowledgement that the way he sees the world is warped by his experiences and his perspective and what that means for him and endless pondering about what sex means for him and what violence means for him and when his decisions are right and when they're irrational and how he'd react to things and what he really means when he says or does this and and and and and....

Start a conversation about Karlach, who has every single bit of that complexity, and the best you'll get is "Muscle Mommy Hot 🥵💦" and the worst you'll get is "I've somehow taken every single word Karlach says in this game completely at face value and yet I confidently believe that you're the one who is wrong about her for thinking she has a shred of development or depth."

The default majority take on Karlach, in this game where she is the only ace-friendly romance option, is that she's the horniest character on the team. The default majority take on Karlach, in this game that is about trauma, and helping your companions not do stupid things because of the warped perspectives left by their trauma, is that when she says she'd rather die than go back to Avernus that's a simple, rational, informed, healthy judgement that should not be questioned. The default majority take on Karlach, in this game about murderers saving the world, is that she's a cinnamon roll who's never done anything wrong. The default majority take is that Karlach's entire character begins and ends with the things that she says to your face.

And then that same majority will turn around and write fifteen hundred words about how Astarion's fear is driving his desperation about Ascension at the drop of a hat, and not even notice the discrepancy.

And you know what? I do genuinely believe that people like Karlach. We've come a long way from the days of ATG fantasy where every single female character was a bitch or a harpy or a Mary Sue or a boring doormat getting in the way of the sexy white boys we were actually here for. We can be enthusiastic about them and say nice things and genuinely enjoy having them around. We can actually like them! It's just that "liking" a female character and "liking" a male character are still. Apparently. Very different things.

Guys I legit just had a dream where I read a bsd comic on here and it made me cry so much. And now im awake and its not real and I 100% do not have the artistic talent to recreate it (nor do i want to hurt myself that way, wow it made me cry so much)

#tried to go to bed at 11:30 last night #went to bed at 2 #woke up at 8 #laid in bed until 1 #got up and ate lunch and did some school work #at this point i have skipped both of my med times #plan to go work out at 4:45 but i get sleepy around 4 #decide to take a quick nap cause the gym is only 15 away #set an alarm and wake up at 4:30 but immediately go back to sleep #IN FULL CLOTHES WITH THE LIGHTS ON AND NO BACKGROUND NOISE #wake up at 7pm #work on some stuff buy a printer from facebook marketplace #it is now 9 and i have not eaten dinner #also do you know why i was so sleepy? BC I HADN'T TAKEN MY MEDS #MY DOCTER WAS SPECIFICALLY LIKE #'take your meds after lunch bc people tend to get sleepy after they eat and your meds will have worn off by then'#AND DID I LISTEN? NO #so not only have i not completed at the stuff i have to do for tomorrow #but i didn't work out like i wanted #and now it's too late to work out outside of the house #the only good news is that i have a newfound love of grilled cheese #i normally hate grilled cheese bc it's too bland #but i had really good grilled cheese today #gonna make it for dinner too #i've become a basic autistic bitch #anyway rant over #actually i could also rant about academia for a bit #but meh
