The moon was so big. So big and beautiful and full and bright. She said sing my children. Sing. Sing for me.
Bobby shifted first. His wolf was big. Powerful. Black fur that bled into white making the coat almost grey along his back. Red flashing eyes and a pull that said alpha alpha my pack my family sing sing with me.
And Buck…
Buck was…

Wilson Creek Canyon, Haast Pass Highway, New Zealand: Wilson Creek Canyon is located directly off the Haast Pass and just before Fantail Falls. Wilson Creek Canyon is spectacular. It’s like something out of a fantasy novel: towering silver walls, brilliant turquoise water and the feeling of being transported to another world.

Wade: Is this about those stupid tamagotchi’s? You left me with six of them, Peter! Taking care of that many is like a full-time job!
Peter: I left you with six adult tamagotchis in perfect health! And by the time I came home, they were all dead! You have to like, actively murder them in order for that to happen!

It's the night after the autograph signing session. Looks like Summer made up her mind after all. She and Allan had a "Meet & Greet" of two.
Which ended in a "slumber" party for three with Summer and her best friend Liberty. Allan had so much fun serenading them… among other things.
They tried a strange concoction whose effect lasted the whole night. So much for rehab. Ah, Allan, you're truly hopeless, buddy. 🙄

January 2024: Fog, Birds & Glorious Green
Saturday's rainy, foggy walk:
It doesn't look like anything from here:
But this is the reality of melting snow & drizzly rain. I see one or two Wilson's Snipes almost every time I walk here this time of year. I've tried to take photos of the snipes on multiple occasions but the photos were all blurry sacks of suck. Your average Bigfoot photo is crystal clear in comparison. Snipes are fast, camouflaged & fly in a natural zigzag pattern. I imagine the only way I'll ever get a decent photo of one is if I find it dead on the ground:
First alien abduction of 2024. The only thing left was this poor bastard's hat on the driveway:
Bought a new bird feeder since the gray squirrels jacked the old one up & this warbler was the first one to try it out. Birds can be leery of new feeders because their dinosaur ancestors imparted to them the wisdom that all new things aren't necessarily good. After all, that meteorite was something new & nothing good:
With the freezing temperatures gone for awhile, we uncovered our cool season vegetables so they could enjoy some unfiltered light:
Brussels a'sprouting:
Not ready yet but this broccoli is getting there:
These two heads of cabbage are looking good:

hi! i just left a comment on your fic Esopus Creek and to avoid clogging up your ao3 comments i thougth id message you here! what inspired you to write that fic? whats your favorite part? also i hope youre doing well!!
Hi!! Thank you for that comment! And thank you for extending the conversation here! I don't think I've ever gotten a message on Tumblr about my fic. The inspiration came after watching the finale and wondering "okay, they ride off into the sunset... love that... but what next?". I've lived in some pretty quiet communities in the Northeast before and that final shot in the episode just felt like all those places I loved so much. I wanted the story to be contemplative and realstic, so I let the reality of the situation drive the story. I did so much research about things I never would have imagined. Like fly fishing, property values in upstate NY and probate! My favorite parts are definitely the little snippets of House and Wilson's conversations in the river. I just always heard those bits the most clearly in their voices. Thank you again for the message!

Steve: We could rent some movies...
Bucky: ...or play strip poker.
Tony, Steve and Sam: NO!
Bucky: Come on, its not like I haven't seen you all naked before. Ok, ok. We'll rent movies.
