Dramatising the qsmp is one of my favourite things to do so, festa junina maxo & forever wedding

It is honestly very much the plot of a soap opera, to marry someone you don't love in hopes that the person you do love will stop you. Marrying someone that does truly love you because you love someone else

And I'd imagine if this was a drama show, Maxo and Forever would have already been established as a couple, maybe they got together because Forever wanted Phil. Maxo having lost his son and his late husband (Dan) it would make it hit that much harder.

Forever proposing to Max after seeing Phil with Missa again after months of absence. Forever proposing because in his mind, Phil needs to see that he's serious about Maxo before he realises his feelings.

When it comes time for an objection, Forever looks at Phil, desperately hoping for him to speak. But he's not even listening, he's showing Chayanne something on his phone. He doesn't care.

Maybe at the wedding, when it comes time to throw the bouquet, Phil catches it. Forever watches Phil give it to Tallulah with a laugh, he's not getting married anytime soon, thank you. It's a silly tradition, it means nothing but it still serves as a bitter reminder that his affection will not be returned.

And when Phil catches Forever alone, upset on his own wedding night, he says it again. He's glad Forever found Max, he's glad his flirting will stop because he could never love him back. It hurts.

But Phil doesn't know that. Phil still fixes his hair for him, slips the yellow rose from his pocket into the braid and smiles at him when Fit calls him over for a dance.

It's then, at his wedding, that he realises how lovable Phil really is. How much he really, really doesn't want to be married to Maxo. He wanted Brunim.

He wants Phil.

Phil doesn't want him back.

When Maxo inevitably notices something is wrong, Forever can't say anything. He can't do anything. He's dug this grave and now, he must lay in it, but just because he has to doesn't mean it's any less scary. How could he tell Max? How could he ever explain this? He won't. He can't.

His plan has failed and now, he's stuck married to a man he never loved.

Local Floriography Bitch Emerges from Hibernation Because Cute Spy Found Family Romcom Has Cheeky Flower Shot!

Alright, let's get the Basic Bitch of Floriography addressed first, which means looking at Bond and his Yellow Rose

Roses are the flower that even people who know next to nothing about Floriography usually know on sight, but it's still cute that they gave the flower representing Friendship to Man's Best Friend.

Moving Counterclockwise through the picture, our next subject is Yor, sporting a fetching Orchid on her hairband.

Orchids symbolize Beautiful Woman, Refinement, Grace, and Uniqueness, and while it's 100% accurate for Yor, a part of me started to strongly suspect here that Loid is responsible for everyone's blooms, and used to opportunity to give discreet messages to his family without them knowing what he's telling them. (sneaky sneaky~)

Speaking of Loid, the man himself is up next, standing slyly with a Blue Aster.

Asters are also known as Starflowers, a sneaky nod to Loid's codename Twilight. And like roses, asters have different meanings depending on the colors you choose. Blue asters just so happen to symbolize Trustworthiness and Faithfulness. The perfect flower to represent a hardworking family man devoted to his wife and daughter! And certainly not the sort of thing one would associate with an undercover spy!

And finally, there is the last Forger Family Flower, and a brutal suckered punch to my soul;

Anya, and her Cosmos.

Just like with Loid's Aster, Cosmos are also flowers associated with the stars, and have even been called "Mexican Asters." Which doesn't feel like an accident when Anya here is mimicking Loid's pose and holding the flower to her lips. And Cosmos have a very, VERY special meaning.

I did reuse some flowers; but I’ve been wanting to redraw those portraits for a while now, so I can cross that off the list too

I. Anemone flowers (also called wind flowers) have a lot of meanings, more negative than good ones; the ones I singled out for Xemnas was death and loss. Flower meanings require a lot of context- like sentences, so in this instance, I’ve used ‘loss’ to mean ‘loss’ in a general sense- Xemnas lost his heart, his comrades, his emotions; and by the end of KHIII; even his motivation; saying he doesn’t really care for his comrades’ demises, and that after he’s gained any kind of sensation back; it’s regret.

II. Knowing Xigbar is keeping all kinds of secrets, and knowing them is his business, Snapdragons are perfect. White and purple denote the spiritual and mystic. Them covering his mouth means that he knows something you don't, and he won't tell you anything.

III. We don’t know much about Xaldin- or Dilan. But with how I interpret him and his actions; he’s someone who has been scorned before- or at least has a lot of jealous dislike towards relationships and is sickened by how love makes people act. Hydrangeas are a flower both used for some wedding bouquets, as well as denoting jealousy, especially in their purple-blue colouration, as it's higher pH that causes the flowers to be that colour.

IV. Azeleas are flowers of two halves. They can mean Temperance and intelligence, but also temptation and caution. This is why I thought it was perfect for Vexen. Not only does he give into the temptation of his (immoral) research- more than once, but also ignored the dangers of it. When he's recompleted, we can see that he's gotten rid of these temptations (or at least I hope so). I made them orange to deeper the 'danger' and 'caution' theme as orange is a colour in nature that denotes it- like toxic amphibians and insects.

V. Lexaeus is a quiet man; so I don't really know much about him other than that he's strong and wants to protect Ienzo/Zexion; as such gladiolus- a symbol of such strength and protection is perfect for him.

VI. Zexion is interesting because I kind of see him as a tragic two-sided character. His scheming, 'throwing morals out the window and toying with people' Zexion in CoM side, and his more naïve, innocent and caring Ienzo side we see in KH3. I gave him Begonias for this reason; the purple in one hand representing mystique and curiosity, whilst white being for a more innocent side to him. I specifically chose Begonia pavonina leaves because they look weird and mystic and kind of match his shimmering hair.

VII. I've already used yellow roses for Siax/Isa, in the same configuration as well; and the meaning remains the same. Yellow roses can sometimes mean jealousy- especially towards friendships. Siax got too into his head about Axel making friends. That was when his jealousy took over, and he was lead by it.

VIII. Axel has had Alestromeas before- as they usually mean strong bonds of friendship; something Axel and Lea has shown over and over again. Like with Siax, I chose to make them a crown to show that, that friendship and keeping those friends safe is what drives him.

IX. It was kind of hard to come up with a flower for Demyx. originally I had him with Geraniums as they can represent folly; but instead, I went with Daisies; with the adage, 'Lazy Daisy'- for obvious reasons. Daisies- or asters- come in a large variety and specie. For Demyx, I chose two for aesthetic purposes; common daisy for around his head, and leucanthemum daisy for his neck- for their size.

X. Finding the right flower for Luxord was difficult. I did originally just have him with clovers, but felt that they didn’t suit. I chose poppies instead, as while they’re known for being symbolic of war & peace, fallen soldiers and death, there’s an under-current of time meaning; time being passed while we sleep, the time we remember the departed, and time marching on until the grave.

XI. For the longest time, Marluxia was going to have roses- it’s his whole motif; there’s rose iconography everywhere. But I chose Magnolias due to their symbolism of remembrance. While not fully aware until the very end, Marluxia was always searching for his sister, not believing that she had gone. The yellow Magnolias represent the joys he shared with her, whilst the purple imply the dignity of being a Union Leader, and Lord of Castle Oblivion.

XII. Marigolds are pretty, but their meaning is not... sometimes. Out of their meanings, I've chosen their meaning for Larxene to be one of cruelty and coldness. Because that's what she is to everyone.

XIII. Roxas keep his Dahlias from his original flower piece. The meaning remains the same; That- even in the face of hardship and despair, he will remain kind, friendly and cheerful.

XIV. I was going to reuse the obvious choice of Forget-Me-Nots for Xion; but honestly, I felt intimidated by how small they are, and- if you've paid attention, kept a strict number limit on my flowers; so that wasn't doable. Instead, I chose a Cornflower, which has a similar meaning of not being forgotten, as well as hope, devotion and love.

The stones inlayed in the frames have no real significance other than that they match the character's colour scheme; Here's what each stone is: Xemnas: Pearl Xigbar: Smokey Quartz Xaldin: Amethyst Vexen: Emerald Lexaeus: (orange) Agate Zexion: Lepidolite Siax: Moonstone Axel: Sunstone Demyx: Sapphire Luxord: Hematite Marluxia: Rose Quartz Larxene: Topaz Roxas: Snowflake Obsidian Xion: Obsidian

OK- I lied a little; there's some theming between characters, but nothing majorly deep; I haven't really looked into gemstones and their meanings.

If you've read this much, congratulations! Flower Count: Xemnas has 13. Xigbar has 3. Xaldin has 1. Vexen has 7. Lexaeus has 5. Zexion has 13. Siax has 7. Axel has 7 Demyx has 20 (13 common, 7 leucanthemum). Luxord has 7. Marluxia has 5. Larxene has 5. Roxas has 7. Xion has 13.

The only outlier is Xaldin; but Hydrangeas are hard to draw and only had the motivation to draw one.

Can I request a shy reader and Spencer's fic. When the reader works at a flower shop, Spencer comes in there looking for flowers. And the reader goes on a little rant about what he should buy and what each flower means.

Spencer needs to buy some flowers for Emily. It's her birthday and he's always brought her flower before, so even if he's already running late to her birthday dinner, he can't not go buy her some flowers.

He goes into the first flower shop, he spots on the way to Emily's apartment and that's where he finds you.

It's almost the closing time, so you are just sitting behind the counter, reading some book. Spencer immediately thinks he's in love.

He swears, you are the prettiest girl, he's ever seen and the fact, that you are too absorbed in your book to even notice him, makes you even more attractive to Spencer.

You finally notice him as he's a few steps away from the counter. You quickly slam the book shut and try not to look too caught off guard.

You weren't expecting anybody to come to the shop anymore and you definitely weren't expecting it to be a very handsome guy.

His messy, curly hair, expensive-looking black suit and the small stubble have you buckling at your knees. You are sure, that if you weren't sitting on the chair, you would be on the ground.

"H-hi," you somewhat compose yourself, "w-what can I help you with?"

He shoots you a smile and you're pretty sure that your cheeks go very red," Hi, I was wondering if I could get some flowers?"

"D-do you have any specific in mind?" you ask, barely holding an eye contact with him. You are shy and he isn't helping your situation at all.

"Ye-...No, I don't. Can you recommend me some?" Spencer literally knows the meaning of every flower you have in this shop, but something about you makes him shut his mouth, so he can stay here longer.

"I can, yes," you smile sheepishly at him, "who are they supposed to be for?"

"My friend, it's her birthday today," you would be lying, if you said that your heart didn't skip a beat at hearing that it's for his friend and not a girlfriend. You thought, that he was getting flowers for his girlfriend.

"W-well, I'd suggest, that you should definitely get some yellow flowers for her. Yellow color represents friendship, would that be okay?" you hesitantly ask. Spencer just nods encouragingly.

"Okay, so we could do some mixed bouquet. Yellow roses are definitely a yes, you can't go wrong with that, they are beautiful and smell amazing. We should also add sunflowers, they represent loyalty and adoration of the friendship. Oh and mums are grest, too. They can really make the bouquet come alive, they are like the spirit of optimism. We could also-," you ramble about each flower, that you put in the bouquet for him.

Spencer listens to your every word with a happy smile, you remind him of himself with your rambling and to be honest, he finds it adorable.

You are done too quickly tho and Spencer finds himself wanting to hear you speak again.

But his phone rings and he doesn't even need to pick up to know, that the team is wondering, where he is.

"Here, i-is this okay?" you hand the insanely pretty bouquet to him. Spencer's grin basically answers your question.

"Thank you, thank you. It couldn't be more perfect. You're a total lifesaver..." he looks at your name tag, "y/n. Thank you, y/n."

You are certain, that your cheeks couldn't be more red as they are right now. Spencer's compliment makes you blush like a fool.

"Oh. I'm..I'm glad, that you like it." You stutter out your response, looking at the ground. You carefully wrap the bouquet in the flower wrapping paper and tell him the price of it.

He pays it and before you can say no, he puts a bigger tip than it's normal into the tip jar.

Spencer then slowly leaves thanking you as he goes. And right before the door closes, it looks like Spencer wants to tell you something else, but in the last second he shakes his head and dissappears.

You wave him a shy goodbye, you are a little disappointed even if you don't really know why. Well okay, maybe you do know why. But you shouldn't have put your hopes up, thinking the handsome stranger felt the spark like you did. And that maybe, only maybe, he'd ask you out.

You sigh and sluggishly start to clean up the counter to finally close the shop and go home. The door bell rings again and your head immediately shoots up.

He runs up to the counter, a little out of breath, "shit, I'm sorry to bother you again. I don't usually do this, like ever, it's just....Would you like to go out with me sometimes? Like for a-a coffee? You can say no of course, hell, I'd totally understand if you said no." Spencer's now the one to rumble.

"I-I'd love to," you, surprising even yourself, reply immediately. Cheeks, of course, burning red.

"It's okay- Wait, really?" Spencer was totally expecting you to reject him.

"Yes, really....." you want to say his name.

"Spencer, my name is Spencer," he quickly understands.

"Spencer, " you try out his name," I'd love to Spencer, here." You bravely scramble your phone number on a piece of paper and give it to him.

Spencer takes it with a huge smile, "I'll call you, " he looks like he wants to stay longer, but looks at his watch and curses under his breath," I'm so late. I gotta go, but I'll call you, I promise."

"Bye, Spencer," you say sweetly and Spencer already knows he's fucked. Not even one date and he knows, he's down bad.

General Aplatonic / Apl symbols

Made for fun, in no way am I claiming this is "official" or that anyone has to use it or anything. I just had a lot of fun making my Poison Apl symbol and I wanted to do something else with the format!

Anyone on the Aplatonic spectrum / who is Aplspec in any way can use ( and is included ) in these!

These incorporate multiple Aplatonic / Apl symbols! Bees, blue roses, and apples. The color of the apples / rose are the colors of this Apl flag, while the bee is the colors of the second Apl flag here. I wanted to represent both color schemes because I personally use both flags, and I wanted it to be inclusive of all Apls regardless of flag preference.

I gave the blue rose thorns, as a way of reclaiming stereotypes about Apls being "distant" ( a rose creates distance between itself and others with it's thorns ) because of their Aplatonicism ( especially Nonfriending and Nonpartnering Apls ) or "thorny/mean" for not wanting casual friendships / being friendship repulsed / to randomly be called "friend" / any friendships or friends / not wanting or experiencing "love" in general, especially "platonic love"

I know some prefer yellow apples while others prefer a green apples ( especially aplaros / aroapls ) so I made two versions! Use whichever you want, or use both at the same time!

One thing I am obsessed with about Bridgerton is the level of detail and symbolism and meaning behind every set, prop, costume etc etc…

I mean I just watched a clip of the florist from the show discussing Pen’s bouquet and how they used their colours to represent them coming together in marriage and the meaning behind each choice of flower. Yellow roses to symbolise love but also friendship, blue hyacinths to symbolise forgiveness and care, yellow larkspur for lightness, humour and dedication and then Veronicas to represent loyalty and fidelity I MEAN

finished the eps of malevolent that are out now and thought abt how like . "designs of john where he looks like the king in yellow go very hard, but like . what if he only resembles him . flower symbolism is like, semi-intentional; i mostly just tried to stray from flowers that have strongly romantic connotations (<- queerplatonic at most jarthur truther), but didnt Really pay attention/research too heavily? anyw here's the reasoning for most of the flower choices + their symbolism (according to this google sheet smone sent me in the midst of making this <3 (note: i will be picking and choosing and ignoring symbolisms as i see fit (looking at you yellow tulips))

(ignored symbolisms are italicized LOL)

pale pink rose at the cloak clasp thing: based on the time kayne referred to arthur as "[their (john and kayne's)] english rose" (grace, joy)

yellow roses: yellow roses pretty <3 (decrease of love, infidelity, jealousy, friendship)

marigolds: kayne nickname LOL (cruelty, grief, pain, other similar negative meanings LOL; note: marigold i referenced is the type you use for day of the dead, so im also saying mourning :3)

lemon blossom: kayne nickname as well - "lemonhead" <3 (discretion, fidelity in love)

yellow tulips: space filler and pretty KGJSHKD (hopeless love)

black-eyed susans: space filler and flower meaning <3 (justice)

buttercups: space filler (THE space filler) and flower meanings (riches, childishness, ingratitude)

dandelions: kayne nickname-ish? (flirtation, oracle, happiness)

daffodil: ... needed another flower similar in size to tulips LOL (chivalry)

foxglove: friend suggested it and i thought "man that would be a banger border thing..... and its poisonous? you could make a symbol out of that!" /SILLY (wishes, selflessness(?), insincerity)

jasmine: wanted smth small to fill more space :3 (grace, elegance)

sunflower: (tall specifically) similar color scheme /SILLY, its like. THE flower i think of when i think of yellow flowers LOL (pride, haughtiness, false riches, "smile on me still" - dwarf sunflowers symbolize adoration too which :3 hehe /SILLY)

cosmos: pretty 👍 (joy in love and life)

Spy x Family Season 2 OP details! (pt 2 - Tea Time)

Tea is being prepared! (while the music turns a little softer, too)

I find it SO FUNNY that Twilight just… passes over Bond instead of around him. And he's wearing socks!

Please notice how the airplane seems to be flying BACKWARDS. Compare it to the above picture.

Then it turns into arcade game pixels as Loid puts the tray down. A detail showing that family and love is the way to peace?

Also, here it's Yor who was reading the newspaper while Loid prepared their tea and snacks. Cool detail!

For no reason at all Loid just passes over Bond again. He's finding a bit of kid in himself, methinks.

As @yumeka-sxf pointed out, Loid sees the mess going outside the window, then closes the curtain like "Nope. Family time."

Tea time is important!

No listen! There's something really interesting about this whole tea thing. The tea could represent peaceful family time. We see the Forgers try to get some tea throughout the second half of the opening, but they're just struggling with fast cars, overflowing ships (!!) and apparently, planes for free fall.

And yes I have theoryTM about what this represents. Loid tries to pour Anya some tea (aka give her quality family time) but the plane they're flying on (the circumstances under which they're living) doesn't allow the normal way, but Yor offers an alternative.

Once again, they're trying to keep things normal, but Yor happily takes the alternative route.

(look at Bond here lol)

They're a peculiar, out of the ordinary family, but they goddamn ARE a family! They will have their quality family tea time no matter what!

The beginning is now repeated with the Tea Motif, with the characters appearing one by one again.

And we end with the Forgers holding a flower each, while white doves (?) fly around them.

I wish I knew the meaning behind those flowers (aside from the yellow rose that Bond holds, which represents friendship and warmth) but the white doves are very much a symbol for peace!

Overall, an interesting opening with some really cute details and meanings behind it all!

After lucifer gave Adam the yellow rose, Adam keeps his distance. While it isn’t as bad as it had been at the beginning, Adams being somewhat nice but he’s avoiding touching or hanging around lucifer too much.

At the white garden table that appeared when Alastor and Rosie began to visit the shop, Lucifer tends to claim it now to piss Alastor off. Lucifer is having a crises. He sits next to Rosie who is happily drink a flower like tea, and Charlie, who is going over her wedding binder. She had proposed to Vaggie in the garden centre and while Adam has reflected it at first, she’s aiming to hold the wedding ceremony there.

Lucifer: I don’t know what’s wrong! He won’t even let me touch his hand anymore!

Charlie: Did you do something? Did you give him the rose?

Lucifer: I’ve done nothing! Adam hasn’t let me close enough to do something! I gave him the rose and he looked happy!

Charlie thoughtfully: …and what rose did you give him again?

Lucifer pouting: the yellow rose. Charlie, remember ?

Rosie giggling while Charlie looks appealed

Charlie: you gave him a yellow rose?

Lucifer: duh! He seemed happy with it

Charlie: Dad! I said give him an orange rose! Orange roses represents sending light, joy and happiness! To show how has had made you feel since he’s opened this place!

Lucifer, staring at Charlie: but the yellow rose isn’t bad? It represents friendship, because we should be friends first

Charlie slaps her forehead: yes! You guys should become friends before dating but yellow roses aren’t typically used for romantic relationships!

Lucifer: so what did i say to him then?

Rosie: that you’d like to have a long-lasting friendship

Lucifer looking relieved: that’s not so bad

Rosie: platonically that is

Lucifer: …

Charlie groans: great now we’re at square one again

Lucifer: Damn it! Should I just go back to red roses? At least that way my intentions are clear.

Charlie: You're going to confuse him!

Rosie: Too late for that.

Lucifer: Ugh! Why is this so hard!? All I want to do is take him out on a date, talk about random things and just have a peaceful time..... Like we used to be.

Adam, who heard everything: Why didn't you just fucking say that?

Lucifer: Because I'm not very good at this.

Adam: Clearly. So, you DO want to be more than friends?

ROOMMATE!HOSEOK who always takes you to the station when you go to visit your family. he insisted on taking your bag, obviously, and you couldn’t say no to that big, beautiful smile; so every time you went back home, Hoseok was always ready to accompany you to the station with your bags, saying goodbye to you with a tight hug and a small kiss on the forehead before saying “i hope you have a good trip. when you come back i’ll take you to that restaurant you like. be safe, angel.”

Hoseok was in a hurry to get out of the house, so much so that his feet got in the way of the building'’s stairs and made him fall to the ground suddenly — and, in such a hurry that he wanted to leave, he ended up staying at home. when you heard all the noise on the stairs, you were quick to help Hoseok, helping him back to your apartment and starting to treat the small wounds that appeared on his legs. and it was in that intimate moment, when Hoseok was most vulnerable, that he let his heart speak for itself — he didn’t even notice, he just declared himself. “you always took good care of me. i think i can only really be me with you. you make me so vulnerable. i think… i think i like you. i really like you.”

Happy Birthday Eden Tobisa!

Turns out our favorite clock girly has her birthday on New Year's Eve! What a nice date for such a nice girl! Let's do a character analysis, fun facts, and songs!

-We know relatively little about Eden's backstory. The most notable thing we know about her life before the killing game, apart from her fascination with clocks, is what is revealed in her chapter 2 secret: "Ever since you kissed her, you were afraid your sexuality would ruin your friendships." Which is pretty straightforward; she's canonically a lesbian and is worried it would negatively affect her friendships.

-Literally the only other thing we know about her backstory is that she lived in Japan for a small period of time when she was younger, before moving back to the US. This was revealed in a Q&A.

(... You know, I made a deranged theory in my Mai post that maybe the girl that Eden kissed was actually Mai. It wasn't very serious, since it was just a silly way to try to explain what the hell Eden's quote in the Mai page could mean. But... we know Teruko was in Japan for a while when she was younger, and it's theorized she knew Mai before being separated from her at some point. Combined with Mai's name being seemingly Japanese, it could imply Mai also lived in Japan at some point. And if that's the case, it's possible she met Eden there? To be clear, that's still an insane possibility, but I do find it a funny possibility, which is why I'm sharing it)

-Apart from that, Eden's defining trait is her optimism and her trust in others. She sticks to Teruko's side even after she starts pushing everyone away in CH 1, and confesses to her that she believes "not caring about others is the worst way to live." She's importantly not naive, she does know their situation is horrible, but still she constantly searches for an exit and tries to build good friendships with the others.

-This includes baking with Min, Rose and Teruko in CH1, inviting Teruko and Arei to make clocks on CH2, etc. Basically, she's awesome and nice and mature.

-Also she loves clocks. Regular Ultimate stuff, she can apparently spend hours and hours working and losing track of time.

-Although for such an optimistic character, her secret quote is quite ominous. "You can't go back, no matter how hard you try." We have zero clue what this means at the moment, but at least it does fit the symbolism of time always moving forward.

-Meanwhile, her quote in the Mai page is "She kept calling the number, even though no one picked it up." This is even more incomprehensible! Eden, what in the world are you talking about?

-Alright, David MV. She doesn't have a color in Color Theory, but her numeral is XII (twelve). Go to 1:48:28 in this video for an explanation. God it's so convenient to have that lol.

Alright fun facts!

-As stated, her birthday (December 31st) lands on New Year's Eve. Maybe representing new beginnings or change, which certainly goes well with her character. How nice!

-Like most of the cast, she's American and right-handed.

-She's one of the only characters with dyed hair. Her hair was originally just brown.

-Her favorite color is daffodil yellow, because it's happy, and her least favorite color is blue, because it's "kind of a downer color." Areden shippers in shambles.

-Her favorite ice cream flavor is honeycomb. I didn't even know that existed but go off queen.

-She enjoys cute fashion, but also enjoys wearing androgynous style clothing.

-She likes food which is fun to make or prepare. How nice!

-She's biracial; her mother is black and her father is Japanese. This is why she spent a bit of time in Japan when she was younger.

-Her name in kanji is 飛佐【とび ・ さ】楽【いーでん】. Gonna leave any actual meaning as homework, but it's worth noting her name was anglicized. I think that would translate to "Iden", but her mother liked the name "Eden", so they went with that instead.

Oh, gladly! I'm sure there are many other flowers that would be great for these four but here's what I came up with.

Charles: Sunflower - I wanted a cheery flower for Charles due to his friendly nature, and while I was going to avoid the obvious choice of the sunflower, it's really too perfect for me not to choose. Sunflowers are bright flowers; symbols of faithfulness, loyalty and devotion. They always turn to face towards the sun, the brightest light.

Edwin: Purple Lilac - Lilacs are symbols of young love, youth, and confidence. Purple lilacs are specifically representative of the shyness and intensity of a first love. Other stories about the flower link it to meanings of resilience and magic. I felt that encompassed Edwin's character arc very nicely, while also tying in his use of magic as a bonus.

Crystal: Pink and Purple Foxglove - Foxgloves are magic-associated flowers that have dual connotations of both protection and toxicity owing to the flower being used as both a medicine and a poison. Pink foxglove symbolizes healing from emotional trauma, while purple is a soothing colour associated with magic abilities and relieving the mind of tension and anger. Sounds like Crystal to me!

Niko: Yellow Rose - The quintessential flower of friendship, joy and optimism, they are also symbolic of support towards friends facing difficulties, and of courage and inner strength. They can also signify waiting for a loved one to return home. ...Niko, come back...

tig couple hcs part 1: max and xander

OKAY FOR SOME REASON I RANDOMLY WANTED TO MAKE A TIG COUPLES SERIES SO HERES MY FAVS FIRST!!!

• they literally complete each other. xander, although he doesn’t show it, has always been a bit insecure when it comes to dating and didnt know if there was anyone right for him, until he met max 💗

• max told her parents about them dating a few months after they started, but they met like 6-7 months later. xander took it extremely seriously surprisingly, and showed up to her parents house with a suit and a bouquet of tulips (maxs favourite) (oh, and he got a smaller bundle of yellow roses for maxs mom because they represent friendship and/or family 🤭)

• xander loves isaac (max’s brother) and they get along really well

• karaoke nights are ICONIC with these two and they sing the best duets. you bet they’re eating up shallow and every hamilton song to have ever existed

• whenever they have movie nights they make the famous candy salads, and do that tiktok trend thing where they pretend that the candy salad was actually supposed to be a salad to make themselves seem healthy. here’s an example if you don’t know what i mean:

• “xander, are you ready to try this super healthy salad?”

• “you bet i am! i can’t wait to dig in— OH MY GOD!!! ITS ALL CANDY!!”

• “this is disgusting!! but… we can’t waste it.”

• “you’re right max. there are starving children! let’s try this”

• *while they’re eating* “this is NOT the healthy all greens salad we wanted xan 😪”

• “yeah, im SO disappointed.” (while they’re throwing handfuls of nerds gummy clusters onto their mouths)

• although avery and libby were the first people max told about her and xander dating, nash was the first person xander told about him and max dating.

• jk. nash found out because he walked in on him and max kissing and then xander told everyone in fear that nash would first. 💀

• they have SO. MANY. inside jokes it’s not even funny. sometimes at hawthorne family dinners, max will pick up a napkin or something and say some weird dumb statement to xander and they’ll both burst out laughing and get shot dirty looks by the laughlins and every older hawthorne that lives at hawthorne house

• max actually didn’t really like xander at first (although she found him attractive) because she was worried for avery, and when she had first got to the hawthorne house, she used to wander the halls just looking around, like the curious cat she is. one day, xander sees her wandering and pops up in front of her, and max, who was taken by surprise, pulls her fist back and punched him right in the throat. he was wheezing on the ground for 5 minutes straight. (she apologized so many times)

• at their wedding, xander mentioned this ⬆️⬆️ story in his vows with a cheesy line, like: “maxine liu, when I first met you, you took my breath away. literally. you punched me in the throat.” and made everybody there laugh (at the after party, nash made him explain the whole story)

• max snores and is a terrible sleeper, but thankfully xander falls asleep really quickly, so by the time she’s got her book away and is creating so much noise that it sounds like an elephant orchestra has taken residence in her mouth, xander’s already asleep

• they wear custom made matching hoodies. xanders says “when unsure, ask for max’s opinion” and max’s hoodie just says “max”.

• ⬆️ doesn’t really work the best when they’re not together LOL

• xander has woken up to max’s giggles at 3 am when she’s reading and the enemies become loversss 🤭🤭

• they eat enough food combined at thanksgiving dinner to make all of texas starve

• on the rare occasions that xander visits maxs house, he always takes seconds and thirds at dinner because he just loves her moms cooking so much

• when xander heard her swear for the first time, he was so taken aback that he just stared at her like this for 2 minutes straight:
