Day Thirteen - Prompt: Necklaces @rosekiller-microfic
March Daily Series - 797 words
<<<Previous Part OR Start Here
Evan toyed with the layered necklaces that he always wore as he waited for the next customer to sit down. Just like yesterday, the tattoo shop was packed with people taking advantage of holiday time off. There was nothing quite like the high of new ink to brighten their drab lives. Evan knew that better than anyone.
The bell over the door trilled to announce yet another new customer. He leaned up in his seat to see if it was one of his regulars. It would be nice to see a familiar face.
He registered the faded green tips of the bloke’s hair before anything else and immediately ducked back into his cubicle. Evan cursed under his breath as he busied himself with straightening up his supplies. The last thing he needed today was to deal with Barty.
“Frank? You want to see Frank?” Emmeline said, sounding puzzled. “Alright, but you’ll have to wait a bit. He has three people ahead of you.”
“That’s fine. I’ll wait.”
Evan ground his teeth together in annoyance. He should be glad that Barty requested Frank. It saved him the humiliation of refusing to serve the prick. Barty wasn’t known for taking rejection well, as was evidenced by his confrontation with Pandora.
“Do you know what you want?” Emmeline asked.
“Nah, he can pick. You know I don’t care, Em.”
“Yeah. I assumed as much, but I had to ask.”
Emmeline wandered through the cubicles on her way to Frank. She aimed an apologetic smile at him as she passed his stall and mouthed “sorry.” He shrugged and feigned indifference.
As she delivered the message to Frank, Evan’s hands balled into fists in his lap. He needed to pull himself together. This was completely normal for Barty every time he came in. He never asked for anything specific or even bothered looking through the idea books on the counter. It was always, “whatever you want.”
Besides, he was Barty’s flatmate. It made perfect sense for him to request Frank. They were barely friends, from what he’d seen. Definitely no chemistry between the two of them.
I don’t care if they did have chemistry. That’s not my problem anymore.
Except, he did care. Too much, probably.
Emmeline leaned into his stall on the way back. “Are you alright? Do you need to take a break?”
“I’m fine. Just give me something to do, Em.”
“Do you want a big piece? I have a bloke waiting that wants a dragon.”
“Yes, I’ll take it,” he said eagerly.
She nodded curtly and disappeared. “Tonks? Are you ready? Stall two.”
When the man appeared in his doorway, Evan smiled politely and offered his hand. “Evan Rosier. Nice to meet you.”
“Ted.”
“What are we doing today, Ted?” Evan settled onto his stool and gestured at the table. “Emmeline mentioned a dragon.”
Ted nodded as he pulled off his shirt. The outline was already placed and trailed from the top of his spine down to the small of his back. It was a detailed piece and appeared to be custom-made.
“Is that one of ours?”
“No, my daughter drew it,” he answered, grinning as he plopped on the table. Ted turned to let Evan examine the piece. “Pretty good, right? It’s a surprise.”
Evan studied the design carefully. It was intricate, but large enough that he shouldn’t have any trouble with it. The dragon’s scales were hinted at with a few small sections instead of the entire animal, which was doable.
“Colour and shading or line work only?”
“Line work. I figured I’d let her colour it in when it heals and take a picture, so you can see how to finish it later.”
“That works. Is this your first tattoo?” he checked.
“Yes.”
“This will probably take a few multiple hour-long sessions. Is that alright?”
Ted glanced back at him and nodded. “I can handle it. Don’t worry.”
Evan patted his side with a grin. “Just making sure you’re prepared. How’s your pain tolerance?”
“Good. I broke my arm two years ago and didn’t know it.”
“Nice. Go ahead and stretch out on your belly for me. Try to relax and let me know if you need a break,” he advised, turning to gather his supplies. “Music preference?”
“Nah, whatever is fine.”
Evan picked up his phone and opened his favourite playlist. “This one’s a mix of genres, so I’m sure there will be a few you like.”
As the opening notes of Mr. Brightside flowed through the speakers on the counter behind him, Evan bobbed his head. He tucked a clean cloth in the waistband of Ted’s jeans to protect them from the ink and give him a comfortable place to rest his hand.
This is great. I’ll be too busy to even think about him.

Oki Imma start sharing some art that I planned to share, but I'm gonna split it up into sections
This first section will be: character designs (basically characters with my own lil design twist)
Im just gonna go in an order I think fits (cus I don't feel like trying to find the order of when I made em)
So firstly - I succumbed to drawing Banban characters (kinda)
I only drew Bittergiggle
Tumblr media
(and here's a version without the outfit and snake accessories) (by 'outfit' tho only the shirt)
Tumblr media
Since a lot of the Banban characters could be animals/creatures (bird, jellyfish, gorilla, fiddles, snail, toad, etc) I tried to think of one for Bittergiggle, and they honestly gave me Chimera-vibes :3
So ye chimera Bittergiggle
Secondly - I finally drew Bugbo
But I did like 4 versions:
Closer to canon
Tumblr media
2. Wings
Tumblr media
3. Tail
Tumblr media
4. Wings + Tail
Tumblr media
I also drew Hoppo!!
Tumblr media
(I couldn't draw her standing on all 6 legs like regular no matter how hard I tried, had to do the standing height, which I think was said to be "monstrously tall" or something like that)
Thirdly - SAMS/MGAFS
This one I just designed characters from the Sun and Moon Show & the Monty Gator and Foxy Show, with my own twists
Starting off strong with Jack 'O Moon (or as I'll call Jack'o to form a difference because somehow I made a SAMS Jack 'O Moon design before I could decide on my HW2 Jack 'O Moon design), who I also made a version of how they'd look in the dark!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next, I finally found a Solar design!!
Tumblr media
(I kept trying to make my own look for Solar but I could never come up with one until now, and I really like it!! :3)
Next, I did Foxy and FC!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(fun fact: I based their designs on real foxes - mainly just their ears tho - so Foxy is a Red Fox, while FC is a Bat Eared Fox)
Finally (and probably the most confusing), I drew Vegeta
(not the actual canon Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, the one that's Monty's child on the Monty Gator & Foxy Show)
Tumblr media
Since I struggled too hard with his design I just said "screw it" and animaled him (honestly his model on the show kinda gave me penguin vibes, so I based him on a Rockhopper Penguin)
Anyways, that's all the designs Im pretty sure I did while gone!! (also, sometimes I call FC "Effcey" to make it look more like a name, and disguise the fact that his name is literally just "Foxy's Child", and I call Vegeta "Veggy" cus they call him that on the show, and also so it's not confused with the actual Vegeta)

woah hey a year has been passed wowie :0
Tumblr media
First two weren't posted here cos they were too long ago & not CJish related but love the way he took up 70% of the year lol
[ Full images + templates below :} ]
[TW for Bright Colors, maybe blood & very very vague themes of depression/suicide for like 2 drawings I believe]

Long text about the arts if anyones actually curious!!
January: An old OC I completely forgot about until making this. He's based on old radio like things :}
February: Played Person 5 Royal last year & drew Joker cos idk he's neat. Fun fact, the same day I fully finished the game was the day Storm & a Spring came out. Also while grinding in the game, I had his Bidding & VoaC covers on repeat. Which was a bit annoying to do since they weren't on Spotify yet & YT on mobile didn't have looping then.
March: The Hawaii Part ii album cover :} I did post that eventually but that's the time I actually made it. Had listened to TME a couple of months before then which got me into the album, so months later I drew it cos why not? [Also the month Vol.1 fully released on everything. What's funny is my gallery for that day was a handful of memes I saved at 4am before I fell asleep. And then the next image saved is when I woke up which was a screenshot of the whiteboard in TfaR lol]
April: First main Jash art !!! And its not even with any of the songs from Vol. 1 lol. I had his Moss cover on repeat again & now that all of Vol. 1 was out, I drew Heart in some moss. Or really in the image from the video.
May: Lil animation I made of Heart with the song Don't Hit the Lights! Link to my post & the song can be found here :}. Still really like the song & even the drawings. Might remake em eventually idk
June: Sky/socialc1imb's Clue AU! I like murder mysteries & this one was real interesting so I drew it a lot lol. Might remake that one or one of the others I made at somepoint? It'll be a bit later if I do but ye
July: A redraw of a HMS piece I originally made back in May, based on the Three Wise Monkeys thing. I like the idea of it so I keep wanting to remake it.
August: I honestly can't remember if I posted that art or not. Actually yea I don't think I ever did PFFT. It's one of the few drawings I did of myself this year & its from CJs Not Perfect cover [as you can tell by the lyrics on it]. Also one of the very very few vent-ish arts I made. I like the background more than anything but its still neat ig?
September: Art for one of the best songs ever. I love Fine, I'm Fine its so good & I listened to it for like 70% of the 20+ hours it took me to make the drawing. Still proud of it so there's the sketch I drew on paper, the one on my tablet & then the final versions.
October: There was a lot from this month due to Jashtober. I still like this one lot & it wasn't insanely rushed so I picked this one to show lol.
November: I have no idea why I made a fun lil soul. I was having an identity crisis over my art style & ig decided to draw the guy who is a walking identity crisis/j
December: Same as September. One of my favorite songs ever was covered & released, so I made a drawing like everyone else lol.

Supernatural (Dean Winchester x Female!Reader)
Tumblr media
Bedtime Stories
Masterlist
"I don't understand, Dean. Why not?" Sam asked Dean, angrily, as we drive down the empty wet road. "Because I said so." Dean said, firmly. "We got the Colt now!" I exclaimed. "(Y/n)..." Dean said, warningly.
"She's right. We can summon the Crossroads Demon…" Sam started to say but then Dean starts to shout over him.
"We're not summoning anything."
"...pull the gun on her and force her to let you out of the deal!"
"We don't even know if that'll work!" Dean shouts. "Well then we'll just shoot her! If she dies then the deal goes away!" I shouted at him. "We don't know if that'll work either, (y/n)! All you guys are pitching me right now is a bunch of ifs and maybes and that's not good enough, because if we screw with this deal, you die!" Dean shouts, angrily, at me.
"And if we don't screw with it, you die!" Sam said. "Sam, enough! I am not going to have this conversation." Dean said. "Why, because you said so?" I asked him, angrily. "YES BECAUSE I SAID SO!" Dean screams out.
"Well you're not Dad!" Sam shouts and he and Dean silently stare at each other. "No, but I am the oldest. And I'm doing what's best. And both of you are going to let this go, you understand me?" Dean yells while Sam and I stay quie . Sam stares out the window and I scoff and lean back in the backseat, folding my arms across my chest.
"Tell me about the psychotic killer." Dean said as he looks at Sam, who doesn't say anything. "C'mon, Sam, tell me about the psychotic killer." He said and Sam picks up a paper from his lap.
"Psychotic killer…rips victims apart with brute-like ferocity." Sam said in a monotone. "OK, any mention of his razor sharp teeth or his four-inch claws? Animal eyes?" Dean asked.  "No. But the lunar cycle's right." Sam said. "Look, if it is a werewolf we don't have long, moon's full this Friday and that's the last time it changes for a month." I said. "Two days, no sweat." Dean said and we drive down the highway.
The boys and I hold our fake badges with our photos then we close our badges and return them to our suit pockets. Kyle, the lone survivor of the attacks, lies in a hospital bed with bandages and scrapes. "I'm Detective Plant, this is Detective Page and Detective Jones, we're with the County Sheriff's Department." Dean said.
"Yeah, uh, I've been expecting you." Kyle said and I furrow my brow at him. "You have?" I asked. "All morning. You are the sketch artist, right?" Kyle asked and Sam and I exchange a look. "Absolutely." Dean said, quickly. "Yeah." Sam mutters, quietly, as I nodded. "Yeah. That is exactly who my partner is. The things he can do with a pen." Dean said, laughing, as he pats Sam's shoulder. Sam glares at Dean.
"But listen before we get started on that I wanted to ask you, uh, how'd you get away?" I asked Kyle. "I- I have no idea. I was hiding, and he found me. He was coming right for me and then he just stopped. Staring at me with this blank look. And after that he just took off running." Kyle replied. "'Kay. Um, I'm going to need as much physical detail as you can remember." Sam said as he pulls a small notebook and pen from his pocket and starts sketching.
"Uh yeah. Uh, he's about six feet tall..." Kyle said and Sam nods. "Six feet..." Sam mutters. "Dark hair." Kyle said as Dean and I peek at Sam's sketch, which looked like a child drew it.
"Uhm, what-what about his eyes, what color eyes did he have?" Sam asked Kyle. "Maybe….blue?" Kyle said. "Blue?" I asked. "It was dark." Kyle replied. "Did they seem..." Dean then clears his throat. "Uh, animal-ish?" Dean asked, finishing. "Excuse me?" Kyle said, confused.
"What about his teeth? You notice anything strange about 'em?" I asked and Kyle shakes head. "No, they were just teeth." Kyle said. "Teeth, OK." Sam mutters as he continues to draw.
"How about his fingernails?" Dean asked. "OK look he- he's just a- a normal guy, with normal eyes and- a-and teeth and fingernails!" Kyle exclaims. "Look sir, it's OK if-" Sam tried to say but Kyle shakes his head. "No. No. Those were my brothers. This guy, he- he killed my brothers." Kyle said, in despair then looks up at me and Sam.
"How would you feel?" He asked us and there was a pause before Sam speaks up. "I can't imagine anything worse." He said and Dean glances at Sam. "I know this isn't easy but if you could remember any more details." Dean said as Kyle looks down like he was thinking.
"Th-there was one more thing he had a- a tattoo on his arm of a cartoon character. It's, uh, it's the guy who's chasing the Roadrunner-" he said and my eyes widen at this. "Wile E. Coyote!" Dean and I said in unison then we smiled at each other. "Yeah, that's it." Kyle said then the doctor walks in.
"Kyle?" He asked and Kyle looks up at him. "Dr. Garrison." He said. "How you holding up?" The doctor asked. "OK, considering." Kyle replied. "You're Kyle's Doctor?" Dean asked. "Yes?" The doctor said and Dean holds up his badge. "Can I just ask you a few questions?" Dean asked and the doctor nods. "Sure." He said then Dean looks over at me and gestures for me to follow him.
So Dean, the doctor and I leave the room leaving Sam with Kyle.
"Boy, this is a piece of uh, art. Really." Dean said, chuckling, as he looks at Sam's drawing as we walk down the street. Sam snatches back the notebook from Dean. "Yeah like you could've done any better." Sam grumbles and Dean andni chuckle.
"So what did the Doc have to say about Kyle's brothers?" Sam asked us. "Not much, they were D.O.A. at the scene. He did give us the lowdown on the Coroner's report." I said. "Lemme guess, their hearts were missing." Sam said. "Nope." I sighed.
"But chunks of their kidneys, lungs and intestines." Dean said and Sam scrunches up his nose. "That's just gross." He said. "Yeah, also definitely not werewolf behavior." I said. "So, what? Demon? Attacker could've been possessed." Sam said.
"Why would a Demon stop halfway through an attack?" Dean asked. "I think that, uh.. Coulda... Yeah, I got nothing." Sam said, shrugging. "Me neither." Dean and I said as we continued to walk on.
The next day, Sam, Dean and I, in suits, approach the nurses station at the hospital. There was another attack that involved a murder, this time it was a couple. The woman survived but the man didn't make it.
Two Sheriff's deputies exit a patient's room and the boys and I turn away from them and focus on a set of flowers on the counter. As the deputies pass by, we turn and continue down the corridor to the room where the deputies exited. "Please, please." The woman, Juile, pleads to Dr. Garrison.
"Shh. Hey, we need to observe you while the drugs still might be in your system." Garrison said as he tries to calm her down. "I have to go. I have things to do, arrangements I need to make!" She cries. "It can wait. Now you need to rest. Stay. Be back in a few minutes." Garrison said to her then he walks towards us as we stand in the doorway.
"Detectives." He said.
"Dr. Garrison." Dean said, nodding.
"What the hell is going on here? My whole town is going insane." Garrison said. "We'll let you know as soon as we do." Sam said and Garrison leaves. The boys and I move into the room. "Ms. Watson? Hi. We just need to ask you a few questions." I said as we produce our badges.
"Do we have to go over this again, now?" She asked, slightly annoyed and tired. "We'll try to be brief. Ms Watson, can you tell us how you got away?" Sam asked her and Julie nods. "I didn't eat as much as Ken did, so I wasn't as out of it. And, when the old woman was...carving up Ken, I shoved her and she fell. Cracked her head on the stove." She explained then she looks up at us, tears in her eyes.
"She's dead, right? I- I killed her?" She asked, sobbing. "D'you have any idea why she did this to you?" Dean asked her. "No! One minute she was a sweet old lady and the next she was, like, a monster." Juile said.
"Can you remember anything else?" I asked her. "Um, yeah. Did you find a little girl there, by any chance?" She asked and we furrow our brows. "A little girl? At the house?" Sam asked, confused. "I thought I saw her outside the window. She just disappeared. Just vanished, into thin air." She replied and the boyd and I look at each other.
"It m-must've been the drugs." Julie said, shaking her head slightly. "This disappearing girl what'd what did she look like?" Dean asked. "Does it matter?" She asked him. "Yes. Every detail matters." I said and she sighs. "She had this dark, dark hair and really pale skin. She was around eight. She was a beautiful child, it was...odd to see her in the middle of something so horrible." She said.
"Well there's no sulphur anywhere, how about the EMF?" Dean asked us as we look around the old lady's house, which was in the middle of the forest. "Yeah, it's going nuts. Right over here by the window. There's definitely a spirit here." Sam said as he waves his EMF detector.
"Who stood outside the crime scene and watched." I said and Sam nods. "Looks like." Sam said and then something clicked in my mind and I stopped in my tracks. Since the attack on Kyle and his brother, I always had this nagging feeling like this sounded familiar. And now looking around at this place and what Juile said it starts to hit me.
"What the Hell do you guys make of that?" Dean asked. "Actually I do have a theory. Uh, sorta." I said. "Hit me." Dean said as the boys look at me. "Well, thinkin' about fairy tales." I said and Dean gives me a bewildered look. "Oh that's- that's nice. You think about fairy tales often?" Dean asked me and I scoff and shake my head. "No, Dean she's talking about the murders." Sam said and he looks over at me. "Right?" He said and I nod. "Yeah. A guy and a girl? Hiking through the woods, an old lady tries to eat 'em? That's Hansel and Gretel. Then we got three brothers arguing over how to build houses, attacked by the Big Bad Wolf." I said.
"Three Little Pigs." Dean said and I nod. "Actually those guys were a little chubby. Well wait I thought those things ended with uh, everyone living happily ever after?" Dean asked. "No, no. Not the originals." Sam said. "See the Grimm brothers stuff was kinda the folklore of it's day, full of sex, violence, cannibalism. Now, it got sanitized over the years, turned into Disney flicks and bedtime stories." I explained
"So you think the murders are uh, what? A re-enactment? That's a little crazy." Dean said and I look at him in disbelief. "Crazy as what? Every day of our lives?" I asked him. "Touché." He said as he points at me.
"How's the creepy ghost girl involved?" Dean asked. "Uhm, well, she must've been here for a reason. I'm willing to bet you top dollar she was at the construction site too." I said. "We gotta do research now, don't we?" Dean asked and Sam and I shrug then Dean closes his eyes.
Later, Dean and I exit the library, Dean not looking happy. "So?" Sam asked. "Checked every record they had. Found the usual amount of violent childhood deaths for a town this size." Dean said as we walk across the road toward a park. "OK." Sam said.
"Wanna know how many how many were little girls with black hair and pale skin?" I asked Sam. "Zero." Sam replied as we walk up to the park. "Zero! You wanna know how many how many little girls with black hair and pale skin that have gone missing? Right again. Zip. zilch, nada." Dean said, annoyed, then he turns to Sam.
"Tell me you've got something good 'cause we've totally wasted the last six hours." I said. "Well you ever hear of Lillian Bailey? She was a British medium from the 1930s." Sam said. "She got a thing for fairy tales?" Dean asked. "Nah, trances. See she'd go into these unconscious states where uhm, get this, her thoughts and actions were completely controlled by spirits." Sam replied.
"A ghost puppet master." Dean said.
"Yeah." Sam said.
"Think that's what this kid is doing? Sending wolfboy and grandma into trances, making them go kill-crazy?" I asked Sam. "Could be. You know, kinda like uh, a spirit hypnosis or somethin'." Sam said. "Trances I get, but fairy tale trances? That's bizarre even for us." Dean said and we stop walking. We look down to see a bullfrog sitting in our path, croaking.
"Yeah, you're right that's completely normal." Sam said, sarcastically, and the bullfrog croaks again and again. "All right maybe it is fairy tales. Totally messed-up fairy tales." Dean said. "I tell you one thing, there's no way I'm kissing a damn frog." I said and Dean chuckles then the frog hops away.
"Hey, check that out." Sam said as he points to a house opposite which has a pumpkin sit on the porch. "Yeah? It's close to Halloween." Dean said and I rolled my eyes. "What? D'you remember Cinderella? The pumpkin that turns into a coach and the mice that become horses?" I asked him.
"Could you be more girlie?" Dean asked and I glared at him. "Hey, don't blame me for knowing these fairytales. My dad would read them to me when he wasn't hunting. And when I was a kid." I said and Dean looks down. "Sorry." He said and I smirk a bit then kiss his cheek. "You're forgiven." I said and we head towards the house.
Sam picks the lock and the three of us enter. Then we split up and begin to search search the house. We hear a noise and draw our guns as Dean closes the front door then we continue to search.
At another noise, Dean motions for Sam and I to head toward it, Dean follows. "Help I'm in here!" A woman's voice shouts and we come up to the kitchen. "Hey, hey." Sam said as we see a teenage Girl handcuffed to the oven. "It's OK we're here we got you." Sam said as he opens his lock pick kit.
"You have to help me, she's a lunatic." The girl said. "What happened?" Dean asked. "My step mom, she just freaked out, screamed at me, beat me. Chained me up." The girl said. "Where is she now?" I asked her. "I don't know." She said and  I look through the kitchen door and spot the little dark-haired girl peeking out.
"Boys." I said and Sam and Dean look up and sees her as well. The little girl turns away and I follow her. I walk through the house to the entryway and see the little girl standing in the living room. She walks out of sight and I enter the living room, and look around, but the girl is gone. I pause, then turns around to see that the little girl has reappeared.
"Who are you?" I asked her but the little girl is silent. She flickers and vanishes. I look down, surprised, at a red apple on the rug then I pick it up and examine it. "Oh no." I whispered as I realized what this represents.
Dean sits on the hood of the Impala, playing with the apple after I handed it to him, then Sam approaches. "Paramedics picked up Cinderella." He saidm "That's good." Dean said and he tosses the apple to me. "So...Little girl, shiny red apple. I'm guessing that means something to you, fairy tale girl?" Dean asked me and I scoffs. "Yeah, it's Snow White." I replied.
"Snow White? Ah I saw that movie. Oh the porn version anyway. There was this wicked Stepmother? Woo, she was wicked." Dean said as he grins and I let out a noise of disapproval. "There is a wicked Stepmother. And she tries to kill Snow White with a poison apple." I explained.
"But the apple doesn't actually kill the girl, right?" Dean asked. "No. Puts her into a deep sleep, so deep it's almost like she's dead." I said as we get into the Impala.
"No, sorry. We don't have any comatose little girls." The nurse told us after we arrive back at the hospital. "You sure?" Sam asked. "Totally. It's mostly old guys. And well...Callie. She's been around since before I started here." The nurse replied.
"Callie?" Dean asked. "Yeah, it's so sad. And poor Dr. Garrison he just won't give up on her." The nurse said. "Is Callie one of his patients?" I asked her. "No. His daughter." She said
Qe arrive at Callie Garrison's room and stop outside the doorway. We watch as Dr. Garrison reads to Callie. "...and the Huntsman stepped inside, and in the bed lay the Wolf. So the Huntsman took a pair of scissors and cut open the Wolf's belly."
I glance at the boys just as Dr. Gareison notices us. He puts down the book, gets up and walks to us. "Detectives. Can I help you?" He asked us after he clears his throat. "We just...heard that Callie is your daughter." Dean said. "And we wanted to say how very sorry we are." Sam said and Garrison nods. "Well, uh. Thank you. If you'll excuse me." He said and he walks out in the hallway.
"Oh, heading this way? We'll walk with you." Dean said as we follow him. "How long's Callie been like that?" I asked him and Garrison looks at us. "We don't mean to intrude, we can't possibly understand how hard it must be for you seeing her like this." Sam said. "It's not easy. She's uh, been here since she was eight years old." Garrison said.
"That's when she was poisoned?" Sam asked. "Yes. Swallowed bleach. Never figured out how she got her hands on the bottle. My wife found her, uh, brought her to the ER here and I was on call." Garrison said. "You're wife was uh, was that Callie's stepmother?" I asked and Garrison stops walking and looks at me.
"Actually, yes. How'd you know that?" He asked and I shrug. "Lucky guess." I said. "Well, Julie was the only mother that uh, Callie ever knew. My wife passed away last year and uh, it's just my daughter and me now. She's all I got left." Garrison said then he pauses before he continues. "Uhm, excuse me I gotta get back to work." He said and he walks away.
"Well you're right. It's Snow White in spades." Dean said to me. "Yep. Step-mom poisons the girl, puts her into a deep sleep. What's the motive you think?" I asked them. "Could be like Mischa Barton. Sixth Sense not the O.C." Dean said and Sam looks at him. "What?" Sam asked. "Hey, you know fairy tales, I know movies. She played the pasty ghost. You know the, uh, remember the mom had that thing you know, where you keep the kid sick so you get all the attention?" Dean said.
"Oh yeah yeah yeah, uh, Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy." Sam said. "Huh, could be." I said. "So say all these years Callie's been suffering silently because nobody knows the truth about what mommy dearest did?" Dean asked as we walk down the reception. "And after all this time her spirit just gets angrier and angrier, until it finally just starts lashing out." Sam said.
"Right. Meanwhile she has to listen to dad tell her these deranged stories about a rabid wolf or a cannibalistic old lady, it's enough to drive anybody nuts." I said. "OK, but how are we gonna stop her, I mean Callie's stuck here, her father's keeping her body alive." Sam said. "It does make it a bit hard to burn the bones." Dean said. "You think?" I asked when a voice shouts.
"Coming in!"
The emergency doors open and we watch as EMTs bring in an old woman on a stretcher. "OK, what's her status?" A doctor asked. "Seventy-two year old female, sustained multiple lacerations and puncture wounds. BP is eighty over forty and falling. Sinus tachycardia." One of the EMT said.
"Is that a bite?" A doctor asked as he looks over the woman. "Looks like she was mauled by a mad dog or, maybe a wolf?" The EMT said and Dean turns to me. "What was the last story Dr. Garrison was reading Callie?" He asked me. "Little Red Riding Hood." I replied just as we see a cover is thrown over the woman.
"Excuse me." Sam said as we show our badges to the EMT. "Was she the only victim?" Sam asked. "She was found by the side of the road, barely alive. Alone." The EMT said. "We need to find her next of kin." Dean said. "Yeah, she has a granddaughter." The EMT said.
"Do you have an address?" I asked and the EMT hands a sheet of paper to me. "Thank you." I said then Dean takes the paper out of my hand.
"Hey, you guys find a way to stop Callie, all right?" Dean said. "What about you?" I asked Dean. "I'm gonna go stop the Big Bad Wolf." Dean said then he pauses. "Which is the weirdest thing I've ever said." He said and he walks way while Sam and I stare after him.
Sam and I search the corridors until we spot Garrison. "Dr. Garrison! We need to speak with you." Sam said and he comes up to us. "Detectives. What can I do for you?" He asked. "Well, uhm. It's about Callie." I said. "My daughter? What about her?" Garrison asked.
"You know maybe, maybe could sit down for a minute?" Sam said but Garrison starts to get annoyed. "No. What about her?" He asked. "'Kay. Well um. All right Doctor, this isn't gonna be easy. What happened to Callie was not an accident." I said to him.
"Excuse me?" He asked, confused. "I'm sorry, but it's true." I said. "You have no idea what happened to my daughter." He growls then he turns and walks away, Sam and I follow. "There are things you don't know Doctor, about your wife." Sam said to him. "My wife?" He said, confused.
"Doctor, your wife poisoned Callie." I said and Garrison stops and turns back to me and Sam. "Why would you say something so horrible to me?" He asked, upset. "Because we need your help." I said. "Both of you stay away from me, and my daughter, you understand?" He threatens and he walks off.
"Doctor this isn't... Please, uh." Sam said as Garrison goes to Callie's room and shuts the door in our face. Sam and I sigh then Sam opens the door, and we enter and close it behind us.
"I'm calling Security." He said and he reaches for the internal phone. Sam clamps his hand over it to stop him. "No, listen. We don't have time to do this gently. If you don't listen to us more people are going to get hurt, because Callie is going to hurt them." Sam said.
"What the hell are you talking about?!" Garrison asked us. "You're going to think we're crazy, but just understand us. Your daughter Callie is still here. She's a spirit." I explained and Garrison looks over at Callie sadly. He sits at the end of her bed, turning back to us. "So you've seen her too." He said and Sam and I look at him, surprised.
"I sensed her, Callie. Her presence, her scent. I even saw her standing at foot of my bed but I never...believed it, I thought I was dreaming, I-" he stops as he bites his lips. "It wasn't a dream. She looks like she did when she was eight. White dress. Red ribbon in her hair. She's been trying to talk to you." I said to him and Garrison sighs.
"You guys are not a cops are you?" He asked us. "No." Sam and I replied. "Then who are you?" Garrison asked. "Someone who knows a little bit about this kind of thing." Sam replied.
"But what you said about my wife poisoning Callie, that's-" Garrison stutters but I speak up. "Sir. Callie told us." I said and he raises his head up at us. "What?!" He asked, shocked. "Not in so many words, but in her own way. She told us." I explained and he shakes his head.
"My wife loved Callie. So how is- how is that possible?" He asked. "We don't know. But it is." Sam said. "No. No I- I don't believe you." He said and I sighed. "Look, Callie is killing people. She's angry. She's desperate, because nobody will listen to her. So you have to listen to her. Please, listen to your daughter." I pleaded to him and Garrison turns and stares at Callie.
He sighs then goes to the side of her bed and bites his lips. "Callie? Callie it's Dad. It's me, Daddy. Is it true? Mommy do that to you? I know I wasn't listening before, but I'm listening now. Daddy's here. Please honey, is there something you wanna tell me?" He asked and Sam and I look to the aide and see Callie standing next to him.
"Doctor..." we said and he looks up at us and we nod towards his side. He turns to her and kneels down to her. "Is it true?" He asked and Callie's spirit nods. "I'm so sorry, baby. But listen to me. You gotta stop what you're doing, OK? You're hurting people. I know everything now. I know the truth. It's time for you to let go. It's time for me to let you go." Garrison said, tears in his eyes.
Then he turns back to Callie's body in the hospital bed and kisses her forehead. Callie's monitors buzzed and Sam and I look down, upset, while Garrison weeps and strokes his daughter's hair. He turns, but her spirit is gone.
"And the girl's OK?" Garrison asked Dean as we stand in front  of the doctor in the nurses station. Dean nods and Garrison sighs. "So, it's really over." He said. "Yeah. All thanks to you." Sam said. "Callie was the most important thing in my life. But I should've let her go a long time ago." Garrison mutters. "See ya ‘round, Doc." Dean said to him. "I sure hope not." Garrison said then he pats Dean on the shoulder and walks away.
"You know what he said? Some good advice." Dean said and Sam and I look over at him. "Is that what you want us to do Dean? Just let you go?" I asked him. Dean doesn't answer as he looks at me then Sam. And just like that, he walks down the corridor alone while Sam and I watch.
That night, Sam and I grabbed our backpacks as Dean turns over in his sleep. I give him a sad smile towards then looked up at Sam. Sam told me that he was gonna summon the crossroads demon and find away to get Dean out of his contract. And I offered to help as I want to find any way to save Dean.
He nods at me and I nod back as Sam heads for the door, looks back at Dean briefly before he silently departs. I let out a small sigh then go over to Dean, kiss his forehead and head out, quietly.
Sam crouches at the center of a crossroads, holding an open box. He adds a photo ID to the contents, closes the box and buries it with his hands. He dusts off his hands and stands, and both of us survey the four routes of the crossroads.
"Well. Little Sammy Winchester and (y/n) (l/n)." A female voice said behind us. We turned around and see a woman in a black dress standing behind us. "I'm touched. I mean...Dean's been to see me twice, but you two? I never had the pleasure." She said as Sam and I glare at her.
"What can I do for you two?" She asked us then Sam draws the Colt and points it at her. "You can beg for your life." Sam said and the demon looks at us in disappointment. "We were having such a nice conversation, then you had to go and ruin the mood." She said.
"If I were you I'd drop the wisecracks and start acting scared." I said, threateningly. "It's not my style." She said then she turns to Sam. "That's not the original Colt. Where did you get that?" She asked but Sam doesn't answer.
"Ruby. Had to be. She is such a pain in my ass. She'll get what's coming to her...you can count on it." The demon sneered. "That's enough. We came here to make you an offer." Sam said. "You're gonna make ME an offer? That's adorable." She said, incredulous.
"You can let Dean out of his deal right now. He lives, (y/n) lives. You live. Everyone goes home happy. Or..." Sam said then he cocks the Colt. "You stop breathing. Permanently." He threatens. "Oh." The demon said then she laughs. "All this tough talk. I have to tell you, it's not very convincing. I mean, come on Sam. Do you even wanna break the deal?" She asked.
"What do you think?" I asked her. "I don't know. Aren't you two tired of cleaning up Dean's messes? Of dealing with that broken psyche of his?" She asked me then she turns to Sam. "Aren't you tired of being bossed around like a snot-nosed little brother? You're stronger than Dean. You're better than him." She said.
"Watch your mouth." Sam growls. "Admit it. You're here, going through the motions. But truth is…both of you'll be a tiny bit relieved when he's gone." She said and my fists clenches. "Shut up." I growled between my clenched teeth. "No more desperate, sloppy, needy Dean. You two can finally be free." She said. "I said shut up!" I yelled.
"Huh. Doth protest too much if you ask me." She said, smirking. "All right, enough of your crap. You let Dean out of his deal right now." Sam said. "Sorry sweetheart, but your brother's an adult. He made that deal of his own free will, fair and square. It's iron clad." She said. "Every deal can be broken." Sam said. "Not this one." said the demon.
"Fine. Then I'll kill you. If you're gone, so's the deal." Sam said and the demon laughs. "Guess again." She said. "What?" Sam and I asked. "Guys, I'm just a sales woman. I got a boss like everybody. He holds the contract, not me. He wants Dean's soul, bad. And believe me. He's not going to let it go." She said. "You're bluffing." I said. "Am I?" She asked then she looks at Sam, who was still holding the Colt.
"Shoot me, if it'll get you off, but the deal still holds, and when Dean's time is up, he's getting dragged into the pit." She said. "Then who's your boss? Who holds the contract?" Sam asked. "He's not as cuddly as me I can tell you that." She said.
"Who is it?" I asked, angrily. "I can't tell you. I'm sorry guys. There's no way outta this one. Not this time." She said and I look down in sadness. Sam looks torn, before sighing and shooting the Demon right between the eyes. She goes down with a groan. Sam watches calmly while I looked at the demon's body then I felt a smile form on my lips but then I felt a different wave of emotions wash over me.
Fear
Worry
"Oh, God....what have we done?" I whispered.

A small confession: I have made sure lately to keep up with everyone else’s Rick Bear-related bloggings (as you may have noticed), and it’s so that I can attempt to live vicariously through them for reasons I am embearrassed to say XD
Even though I bought him right at release (which, already, was 6 months & just a few days ago, believe it or not 🥺), I still have not yet found myself in a position where I could have gone and gotten him stuffed.
I’m a bit serious when it comes to my plushies (as a collector & enthusiast) and my Build-a-Bears especially a step above that, with their birth certificates ‘n’ all (there’s also the decade-long attachment I’ve had to them for both the pure fun of ‘em & also some personal reasons) XD
…So, it has almost felt a bit like I’m being a bad bear-parent or something XD (LOL, the word-play/puns you could make XDD). A silly feeling to have, yes 😆 but I still feel it
I QUITE LITERALLY LEFT HIM FOOD (b-a-b food) SO HE SHOULD BE SURVIVING IN HIS BOX JUST FINE LOLL XDD but you don’t even understand how much it hurts my soul as an avid bear stuffer and massive rick fanatic that HE HAS JUST BEEN SITTING THERE AS A SACK OF FUR 😭😭XX’DDDD!!!
I’ve been teased (don’t worry, I’m sure it was in good nature) a bit recently abt it lol XD and from that I’ve found that this particular ‘failing’ of mine being pointed out really.. sorta… stings XD I’m pretty embarrassed about it (I tend to put lots of pressure on myself, too, which absolutely does not help) and it’s just one of those things that I’ll feel down about when I think of it
But seeing all of you guys enjoying him really lifts me up!!!
I want nothing more than to cuddle a well stuffed Rick boi of my own!! XXDD (well, aside from having an improved mental health… Ig it’s whichever comes first, at this rate xD)
I love him so much that I even drew him! Don’t tell anybody I’m nervous XXDD
Reblogs are off but replies aren’t (I love & welcome chatting 😄) & if you guys don’t dislike me for my strange developing attitude towards this probably really menial thing then maybe I’ll just put them back on LOL
It’s weird; I literally have zero problems when it comes to my confidence towards being a deranged rick fanatic LMAO XDD
But this? because I’ve been teased & it’s just been months that I’ve been able to get in my head about it even when I was sure for a while that like almost noone even knew of the bear’s existence??? It’s got me fucked up LAWL
And for all of those who are thinking it: please just note that I don’t do disgusting things to my plushies or stuffed animals. I don’t care what you do but seriously I don’t do that myself. I’m really all about treating my items with respect and, hell, you can’t even find me cuddling with them if I am not certain that I’m wearing clean clothes or not XXDD (I sure as well can’t get myself to sleep with them OOF that sounds like a collector [me]’s nightmare XXDD)

I watched Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse today and these are my unfiltered thoughts:
- God it's beautiful
- also the soundtrack just worked so fuckng well
- I love love LOVE how Gwen's universe is animated. All those soft pastels oh my god. I was caught off guard - it was just stunning 😭😭😭
- love that they had Gwen in the band and the beginning with the drums accompanying her narration - and the drums followed Gwen throughout the movie!!!!
- hope the bandmates show up in the next movie. They seemed cool. I am assuming the girls talking to Gwen were Em Jay and Glory
- liked the glimpses we got of Gwen's and her Peter’s friendship
- liked the scene with Gwen and her dad 'can you stop being a cop for a moment'
- as a whole I really loved Gwen in this
- I love Rio!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, so much ❤❤❤ I was 100 percent full on crying in the scenes between her and Miles - yes, I do cry easily but still, emotional stuff. (I might also have a crush on Rio shhhhh)
- the Spot in the convenience store was a fun scene
- I didn’t really care for the mix of live action and animated. I can see it being fun for some people but it did kind of take me out of the movie. Preference thing.
- Miguel is an interesting antagonist. He's destroyed a world, and he lives with that guilt. I don’t blame him for being hostile to Miles - although Miles didn't get bitten by that spider on purpose so it seems kinda unfair. They probably shouldn't have told Miles about his father’s upcoming death tbh
- Pavitr Prabhakar is an absolute delight!!!! And I'm glad that he and Hobie are besties!!!
- I really liked Jess Drew's design. Very distinctive. That said, in my opinion, she was kind of a flat character - especially since she was so prominently advertised. I think the problem is that Jessica Drew's main themes in the comics are not guilt, loss, and responsibility. Well, at least not in the 616 universe, which is the one where we saw her get pregnant.
- Which brings me to...I didn't really like the whole idea of every Spider person having the exact same Canon where someone else's death is what made them a hero. I don’t think that's really true for Jessica Drew or Cindy Moon or Matt/ie Franklin or Anya Corazon, so this also kind of just fell flat to me. Which is a shame because it's part of the movie's framework, but I was just completely unconvinced
- I also still think it was unnecessary to give Jess a husband - especially since he's never seen and plays no role in this movie whatsoever.
- I loved Mayday Parker!!!!!!!! She is the cutest thing!!!!! Squirmy, happy, active baby!!!!!! Awwwwwwwwww 💕💕💕
- was a little sad that there wasn't more Mary Jane Watson, but this movie is bursting with characters so not surprising
- Miles being sent to the wrong universe and his uncle still being alive there 😮😮😮
- Miles' counterpart is a villain!!!! SCREAMING!!! OH MY GOD!!! That was so much fucking fun!
- am excited about the upcoming sequel and this movie (despite my criticisms) is definitely a fave!!!!

Incredibles AU: Can we see some of Malon using her powers? I don't recall us having actually seen it, unless I missed a fic?
Does the ever growing super household have a pet that narks on the boys being naughty?
TYTY love your writing
The only fic where Malon has ~vaguely~ used her powers is Lost Time, but other than that it hasn’t really been shown. Mostly because for the longest time I wasn’t quite sure what exactly it was lol
And sadly no, the boys don’t really have any pets since they move fairly often. Wild caught a frog once though, and kept it for a bit... but this story isn’t about that XD
———
“Do you see her Twilight? This is Epona, she’s my horse,” Malon said gently, holding her son up to the chestnut mare. “Epona, this is Twilight, my son.”
Twilight blinked up at the horse, then Malon guided his hand to pet her soft muzzle, Twilight giggling a little when Epona blew out a soft puff of air. He gently patted her nose, and Epona looked at him with the beginnings of adoration in her eyes.
He’s absolutely adorable, Epona snorted, and Twilight smiled at her, despite not being able to understand.
“I knew you’d be friends,” Malon said with a smile, and Epona snorted again.
How couldn’t we be? I can already tell he’ll be a natural with us. Are you sure he can’t understand?
“Well if he can, he’s shown no signs of it yet,” Malon shrugged, “I wouldn’t get your hopes up girl. It’s rare the same exact power gets passed down through families you know.”
Then she showed Twilight how to hold a carrot out to Epona without getting nibbled. He quickly got the hang of it, and Epona whinnied eagerly as he held out several more carrots towards her.
Yep. He’s my new best friend.
“Malon!”
She looked up at the shout, and saw her father running out across the yard towards her, a harried look on his face.
And her father never ran.
“Malon, something spooked the cows and the fence by the cliff is down!” her father panted as he reached her side, resting his hands on his knees. “I just checked that section yesterday too, it was fine then—”
“Don’t worry about a thing father, I’ll handle it,” she soothed, then handed Twilight over to him. “I’ll have them back before you can even miss ‘em.”
She gave a whistle, and Epona turned herself around, offering her back to her. Malon jumped on without hesitation, and giving Twilight a little wave, kicked Epona into a canter, off towards the cow pasture. It wasn’t long before the panicked cows came into view, and Malon watched as the last few disappeared through the broken fence.
“Alright girl, lets round ‘em up,” she said to Epona, and she whinnied eagerly in response.
It’s been ages since there was a good stampede around here!
“Epona, really. We stopped a robbery just yesterday.”
Yes but he wasn’t stampeding.
They quickly caught up to the main group of cows, their eyes wild and panicked as they charged across the grass. Malon drew up next to them and gave a piercing whistle, watching as the cows’ pricked their ears, but continued to bolt across the grass. Malon frowned, but had expected the response. She could only reliably communicate with horses; other hoofed animals tended to be more difficult to get through to.
Especially when they were in a large, panicked group.
“Let’s try and cut them off,” she said, and Epona sped up into a gallop, running steadily until she was ahead of the herd of cows.
Malon began to urge them to turn, occasionally letting out more sharp whistles, and the frightened cows started to change course. Malon and Epona managed to get them to turn all the way back around, and she began to speak more soothingly, but still loud enough to be heard.
The cows in the front began to slow the longer she spoke to them, and the ones behind began slowing as well. By the time Malon had guided them back towards the pasture, they were merely trotting steadily along, the panic from whatever had spooked them gone.
Talon and Twilight watched her from a safe distance away, and Epona trotted over to them once all the cows were back in the fence, a smile on Malon’s face.
“There you go, all rounded up,” she said as she dismounted, and took Twilight back with a small spin. “Strange about the fence though, I wonder what happened to it?”
“I don’t rightly know...” Talon said with a suspicious hum. “...it might be nothing. Anyways, thank you Malon, it’s a good thing you were here.”
Epona let out a small huff of air.
“...and you as well, Epona,” Talon amended, and Epona looked content as Malon shook her head and Twilight reached out to give the mare another pat on the nose, along with a carrot.
That’s more like it.

i would definitely be interested in seeing the voices you've debated using, yes
Okay so I have howl from howls moving castle ( with a random animated bit I did forever ago back when I drew eyes really big ) and the lead singer of the buttertones
Howls voice is very soft and Hot but issue is it’s too raspy and horseshoes voice is smooth.
Buttertones is like,, Close it’s got the smooth deepness but something indescribable is off about it ( also the one interview I watched the guys voice doesn’t actually sound like that when speaking. Also ig the buttertones are kinda skeavy so don’t wanna really have em be apart of this lol )

Pretz ma chère! What are some music artists you think are underrated? And another question, how did you get into creating artwork?!
HI!!! HELLOOOOO!! MY DEAR!!!! HI!!
• Underrated music artists
SO! For underrated artists, i absolutely adore Cosmo Sheldrake! I don't see nearly enough love for him, but his songs are amazing!! Come Along, Wriggle, Pelicans We, Egg and Soldier, Pliocene, Solar, the Moss,,,,,,,,,,, everything. His music has such a good vibe, I love it so much!!
And then, also, Will Wood! I LOVE his work so much!! It's actually insane and I love the weird vibes of his songs! I always have at least one song playing in my head like a radio :3
Honorable mentions to The Jolly Rogers and Ye Banished Privateers because of the sea shanties-
• How did I get into creating artworks?
It all started when i was born already holding a pencil and a paper :3
No, but seriously I draw since I was extremely small. I don't have a lot of drawings left (i used to draw on books 💀👍), but it was always my passion. I drew animals every chance I got and being praised by them so much made me draw even more and the cicle repeated itself over and over again.
Mammals, dinosaurs, birds, furries, whatever! You name it! I drew every kind of animal possible (except humans, fuck 'em). Stuff got real when I started drawing digitally tho, that's when I really started to improve.

Things changed a hell of a lot since then :3

Wifi's (and friend) Ultimate Turtle Journey: Mirage Volume 1 skip list.
Have you ever started to get into a really popular media that you know next to nothing about? And the amount of ingrained cultural knowledge and predisposed popular opinions to have about it all left you all discombobulated? Did you then decide the best way to handle that was to go through all the media in as chronological an order as possible?
Well. Hi! I (and my companion in turtledom) did that with every cartoon, movie, anime ova, touring musical production and educational VHS we could find of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But now plumb out of media of the moving picture sort, it was time to get into comics.
This is not a list trying to make you read mirage, nor will it be a "just the good plot stuff" list. Those already exist! This is list for anyone also taking a maximalist approach to enjoying art, and letting the ideas of the people who make it flow over you. I think friction in consumption of art can be really interesting. But I will try and give you context for what that friction might be, and the lines I drew about no longer thinking something was worth my time (I never skipped tho i did occasional skim >_>). SO! Lets get too it!
Mirage 1-11, and the character micros (named after each character, published in order: Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello and Leonardo)
This is the "core text" as it were. Obviously read it. This is probably what you need if you want to get into fights on the internet too. I might recommend a pit stop to read Eastman and Laird Fugitoid, maybe after issue 4. Issue 8 is a crossover issue. You could read the micros however but read no. 9, then Leo, then 10.
#12-18 are, brace yourself. Filler. Oh the terror. I think mostly good! 12-15 all got adapted into 03 episodes. Here's the break down.
#19-21: Return to New York
#12 - A Laird turtle romp, has good character work, action.
#13 - A guest issue, but Michael Dooney's best imho, makes sense chronologically and in tone. Women's depiction in comics Advisory warning.
#14 - An Eastman turtle romp, cute Casey and April stuff, a favourite of mine.
#15 - Laird again, and adventure again. good art.
#16 - A guest issue, Mark Martin, also his strongest imho. Not very chronologically based (a time travel plot in fact) but I'd recommend this even to people who don't read mirage.
#17 - Eric Talbot, kinda of a guest issue, within its own text, non canonical, but cute. Mikey focused.
#18 - Guest issue, Mark Bodé. The plot is. Anti MSG messaging? Turtles go to China. Really truly, you can skip this.
Yes again, obviously you should read these. I like them so much. Brothers! Feelings! Murder! Its the works.
Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1-7
Probably not were they go by publication date, but for simplicity... Lighter, easy read comics, all of them were adapted into 03 btw. I say read em, I saved them up for when mainline got too vexing. But probably at least read 4 [I, monster] and 6 [Leatherhead].
#22-48. Yes, most of em. Are "the guest era". But painting this large a chunk with the same skip or dont skip brush is beyond the pale. Some of the best and worst of Mirage is in here. Lets break it down.
#22-23. Sequels to #16. Not as strong, much weirder. But if you wanted more. You've got it. Has one gag I really like, and one I really don't.
#24-26. Rich Veitch's river saga. THE frictional art of frictional art. Emotional arc for the turtles, political and spiritual messaging. Advisory Warning for depiction of an Indigenous (Of an Algonquian tribe, probably Abenaki?) character and themes of colonialism, lots of offensive language used tho also, pro land back? Mysticism abound. If you read it, lets talk!
#27 Michael Dooney, a revisit of characters from Tales of TMNT, Radical and Carnage. Now in a... spiritual battle involved in (I believe, Lakota) religion. Stuff to chew on maybe, less offensive langauge but also maybe less to say. Dooney's treatment of women hints to a pattern.
#28 Written by Stephen Murphy and with art by Jim Lawson, makes this technically canonical, and regardless. Introspective and emotional. SO FUCKING GOOD. Also an 03 episode.
#29. AC Farley, read it for the art alone. Wild plot, fun romp.
#30. Rich Veitch again, cars! the grotesque! Highway culture. Very strange, pretty fun.
#31. Mike Zuilli and Stephen Murphy. This is truly, an AU. Continued in #35-36 (Sans Murphy). Maybe interesting to check out? Weird ass hell, maybe not in a good way? The strangest Splinter and Shredder. Mysticism, ofc. 36 Does end interestingly at least.
#32 Mark Bodé again, April and a female friend in Egypt. Cursed mummies, bad outfits. Truly skipable. (Also side bar: If someone told you this is the Only issue were April is drawn as Black or ambiguous. I Disagree. Lot of artists drew her in a lot of ways)
#33. Richard Corben. Silly turtles time travel. Cute, though the art might have given me motion sickness???
#34. Rich Hedden & Tom McWeeney. This is a Parody of the TMNT. Also not very funny. Also depicts a man having delusions and the shooting himself. (As comedy. of course. and its still not funny). Extremely skippable, though despite myself, the shots were said man sees the world populated with turtle mutants are kinda nice.
#35-36. See 31.
Phew. Done. #50-62 is the City At War arc, and finale of Mirage vol. 1. Read it! And good luck skipping any of it, it's like. 5 parallel story lines across 13 issues.
#37 Rick McCollum and Bill Anderson. I. ADORE. This issue. On the record have been singing its praises. Extremely characterful of the turtles, a reptile specific spiritual journey. Sequel to a mini "Donatello: The Ring", from Turtle Soup #2.
#38-40. Hedden and McWeeney again, this time, hornier. Still not funny. SKIPPPPPP.
#41. Matt Howarth. A look into the turtles, and Splinters, dreams. Just a cute little comic.
#42. McCollum and Anderson. Pretty good, an immortal witch summons ghosts of famous people to do her bidding (kidnap the turtles!). Mild advisory for women's depictions in comics, at least their drawn cooler... I like their Renet actually.
#43. Paul Jenkins and A.C. Farley. More of that good art! Donnie in his FEELINGS. Wild premise.
#44. Rick Arthur. Sequel to "The Name is Lucindra" Turtle soup vol 2. Raph gets a female sparring partner. There's maybe some feelings involved? its fine.
#45. Dan Berger. The return of Leatherhead! Probably canonical? I like it!
#46-47. Michael Dooney. A plot thread from #9 gets picked up. The turtles time travel to feudal Japan to stop a bad guy. Doesn't get more classic that that. Dooney's depiction of women goes turbo nuclear with this tho. Renet is less garbed than very and being man handled A lot.
#48-49 You have reached normal continuity by mirage regulars again. Casey Jones has a moral quandary of vigilantism. Return of Nobody from Tales of the TMNT. The turtles say some based shit about cops.
And that's pretty much it! I'm not skip listing all the side content cause i haven't read it yet and also. If your the kinda sicko who wants to read Mirage's Gobbledygook, Grunts, Turtle Soup or Plastron Cafe... What would you need a skip list for?
Wow! Now that's really it! You did it! Catch me next time when I finally know what the fuck happened with the rest of Mirage's publishing! Or what the hell is up with image comics? Or maybe those darn adventure comics from Archie.

Replaying Nancy Drew without Cheating - Part 6: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake
AWW, DOG. My very first Nancy Drew game that I ever played, my first exposure to Nancy Drew games, Christmas 2002. Almost 20 years ago exactly, I remember opening what would end up being one of my favorite gifts ever, curious and not at all sure what to expect. Regardless of any objective criticisms of Ghost Dogs that I may have as an adult, this game will ALWAYS hold a very special place in my heart, and “I gotta have some torque!” will forever remain my all-time favorite Nancy Drew quote.
Tumblr media
Believe it or not, I DID feel tempted to cheat at one point in this game. OBVIOUSLY this was during that DREADED bug hunt. The number of times I switched from day to night and back, flipping over the same rocks and logs again and again, was MADDENING. I literally could have found 12 bugs inside my real-life HOUSE quicker than the many, many days I spent foraging, just to get that butt-ugly camo outfit from Em’s. Eventually I figured it out, but the temptation definitely gripped me for a moment.
Weirdly enough, after the tedium of looking for birds and bugs, the rest of the game sped by in the blink of an eye. I didn’t remember this game being so short, which makes sense since I was 10 years old and didn’t even have the motor skills to properly work a mouse. It was actually a bit disappointing, and it makes me, for the first time, understand why this game usually falls towards the middle or the end of everyones’ game rankings. This game is special to me, but I still get how it might be forgettable.
Here are some of my random thoughts while playing:
1. Is this the only game with only 3 suspects? I wonder what the reason behind this was. Saving on animation? Time constraints? Regardless of the reason, I could not stand a single one of these people. Red Knot? Creepy. Weird. Needs to deal with his aversion to anything human through intensive therapy. Em? The epitome of a slimy capitalist, breaking laws just to make a buck. And doing it with a grating accent, on top of everything. Jeff Akers? Hot, yes, but everything that comes out of that man’s mouth is a goddamn nag. OKAY, I’ll leash my non-existent dog. OKAY, I’ll take this stupid little pin in exchange for doing your job for you. What a pain in my royal ass.
2. Hilarious that Nancy sees Jeff Akers’ dog, who looks literally nothing like the ghost dogs, and accuses him of having something to do with the ghost dogs? “You’re insinuating things again, Miss Drew.”
Tumblr media
3. Speaking of ghost dogs, Her had NO BUSINESS making a cut scene that is THIS scary. To this day, I get chills watching it, and I am a 30 year old woman.
Tumblr media
4. Am I the only one who thought it unrealistic that Carson Drew would allow Nancy to go anywhere, much less to a small town in the middle of Pennsylvania, with not a single bill of cash?? I thought Nancy was supposed to be a world-renowned detective, sharp and always one step ahead, but then she travels, by car, with absolutely no money. Think about all the time spent looking for bugs I could have saved if she had just had a crisp $100 in her pocket all along.
5. I loved the puzzle Nancy has to do while tied up in the flaming shed. You have to think fast and figure out how to get the scythe down, and it really gets my heart-rate up. I also love the photos of her hands and feet tied up. Every time I see real-life photos in the games, it gives me a chuckle. Nancy’s massive gasp as it cuts to her balled up fists is just the icing on the cake for me.
Tumblr media
6. What an excellent backstory. Mickey Malone sounded absolutely class, his girlfriend Vivian was a fun phone contact, his parties in the roaring 20s make me wish I was born in a different decade. The storyline felt very focused and, despite the annoying little side tasks, it’s always fun to try to figure out where Malone kept his gold and what the explanation is behind the “ghost” dogs terrorizing Sally.
7. Malone’s speakeasy, to this day, remains one of my favorite places in Nancy Drew’s world. Look at this place! Imagine the schenanigans that went down!
Tumblr media
8. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the forest maze, but no lie, after all these years I STILL have that thang memorized and can zip through it in seconds. I also grew up in northern Maryland, so wandering through the trees and hanging out by the lake is very much my speed. A very comforting setting overall.
9. The ending felt very abrupt. Was it always this abrupt? Once you find the secret cave where the culprit is keeping the dogs, it is extremely easy to guess who is behind all the hullabaloo (I never trusted her anyway!!). HerInteractive likes for Nancy to kinda sorta befriend annoying female suspects and then make that person the culprit (looking at you, Lisa). The escape from Em at the end is surprisingly easy, as there aren’t many options for where you can go or what you can do. And then as soon as you get out of the sewer, it’s over. I felt underwhelmed, but I guess that’s what happens when you replay for the 50th time a game meant for children.
Tumblr media
10. Finally, I always appreciate a nice reference, or, in this case, two!
Tumblr media
I love this game. I do. It is the most nostalgic game I have ever played, and I will always remember it as my first. It isn’t particularly challenging, though, and you spend a lot of time by yourself, when some people love to pelt all the suspects with an endless barrage of questions. I find it hard to really give an objective opinion on DOG, and I am not sure how I would feel if not for the nostalgic aspect of it.
Heading up the East Coast to New Jersey...see you soon!

Hello it's me again!
So I have some more asks, some relating to art, some just random stuff I think of XD
1. Favorite character of yours that you like drawing?
2. What's your favorite show/movie? (If you don't have a favorite, just name ones you like)
3. Oldest oc you have? How did they change throughout the time you had em?
Thanks in advance!
✨ Hi! Thank you so much for asking more questions! (You're literally the first person to send in more than one ask before! Thank you for bringing some life to my ask box, lol!)
Question 1. I don't know if I have a favorite character of mine to draw, but the first character that popped into my head was Darragh, probably since I used to draw him A LOT & know how to draw him pretty well from all the times I've drawn him before! (I'm hoping to get a light board this holiday season so I can actually finish an updated version of his reference sheet soon!)
Question 2. I like a lot of shows & movies, so I'll just list the many that I like instead!
Some Of The Movies I Like Include... Back To The Future (trilogy) Little Shop of Horrors (1986) Ferris Bueller's Day Off Gremlins Gremlins 2: The New Batch How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004) Wolfwalkers Shrek 2 Puss in Boots: The Last Wish The "Spider-Man: Spider-Verse" series The "Kung Fu Panda" series The "Sing" series The "Trolls" series
Some Of The TV Shows I Like Include... Bluey The Owl House Infinity Train Ducktales (2017) Gravity Falls Steven Universe My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Avatar: The Last Airbender (2005) Our Flag Means Death Bob's Burgers Central Park SpongeBob SquarePants (Seasons 1-3)
(You know, writing this list out has made me realize how much I like musicals... & DreamWorks Animation???)
Question 3. The oldest OC that I have is my first OC! I haven't drawn her in a long time, but her name is Magic & she initially was one of those classic "character a child likes, so they barely recolor the character & call it their own;" the actual character was Spyro from the Skylanders series! (Yes, I love "Pug Spyro!") Initially, the only difference was that she had white accent colors instead of gold/bronze. As I got better at drawing & designing characters, I began to actually make her more original & less like Skylanders' Spyro (pictured below!)
The first drawing (which is actually the first drawing I ever made of her!) is from 2014, I think in April; I believe we were going on a school field-trip that day to a trampoline park as a reward for the good students? I drew her with no reference in class with my pencil & colored pencils on a piece of notebook paper! Whenever that day was, it was the day I decided to take art seriously & was the start of my journey to getting as good at drawing as I am today!
The second drawing is (I think) from around 2018 when I really started to try & make her legally distinct from Skylanders' Spyro; different shaped horns, fin-like ears, furred belly & (not pictured) tail tip (kinda like Banjo's)! I made that drawing with my old & cheap watercolor set on what (I think) is sketchbook watercolor paper; & yes, that tiny little portrait is in a tiny little picture frame!
The third drawing is a concept doodle for a 4.0 design for Magic from around 2021 or 2022? I never finalized the design, but the idea was to really change her body type into being more chubby & pear-shaped like some stuffed animals I have, as well as adding stars to her design since I think of her as my "spark of inspiration" for where I am now! Since I've been working on redesigning another dragon-like character of mine recently, perhaps I'll finally get around to finalizing Magic 4.0, who knows!

You (or anybody else who may see this!) can totally ask me more questions about my interests or old/new characters of mine if you’d like! Thank you so much for taking the time to ask me fun questions to answer! ✨
