I have a lot of thoughts on these three

I like to imagine them as a love triange starting out, especially since Laios clearly has strong feelings for Toshiro, and Kabru's transition from obsession to friendship with Laios reads very romantic to me. I believe that, post canon, Toshiro will eventually start to simmer out of his infatuation with Falin, and once he does I think he could potentially find some of the same qualities he liked in Falin, in Kabru; they both are great listeners who are acute to subtleties, Kabru has passion for people, which nicely parallels Falin's passion for life, and Kabru is obviously very attractive.

I also think there's great potential for them to realize feelings for each other, and even develop prior feelings to a true appreciation, since despite Laios thinking Toshiro is very cool and talented, I don't think he had a chance to truly know him. I think he'd find they have more alike than he'd expect, and the vice for Toshiro. Todbiro liked that Falin understood him with little difficulty, but I think Laios would encourage Toshiro to make room for himself, and that he could appreciate his tenderness that he has been guided away from in the past.

Toshiro's somewhat delicate nature, appreciating plants and life outside of fighting and espionage would appeal to Kabru, as it seems that's one of his driving interests in Laios, the lack of active greed and ruthlessness he finds rare among adventurers. I also think Kabru has near always had to fend for himself, outside of Milsiril who (bless her heart) didn't give him a say over her swaddling, and I think like Toshiro's protective nature. I think they could understand each other the way they want to be known, something Laios is capable of in a different degree.

Laios's development of feelings for Kabru is just expansion on his already existing feelings, I think the line between affection and friendship tends to get blurry for Laios once he starts seeing someone in a romantic light, and he just needs the opportunity to clarify these feelings to really understand he loves Kabru.

I'm running out of steam; I want to think Laios is the one who suggests dating each other, as a polycule, but I can't help but see Kabru as the initiator. They're all cute together and they'd help each other grow 👍

all the other ones stay the same, so i’ll just explain the two new ones

huaqing: they were once stuck together and had to talk just out of boredom. they bickered a little but the more they talked the more they realized that there was more to the other. mu qing feels genuinely bad about what he did to hua cheng. he has a hard time apologizing but he tried his best to express his remorse, and hua cheng was pretty shocked (previously thought mu qing was a bit of an asshole) and, since mu qing was being sincere, decided to accept his apology. they hit some rough patches now and then, but xie lian and feng xin help them through it. they realized they’re pretty similar, and team up to stir up trouble with people they don’t like sometimes!

huaxin: feng xin was jealous of hua cheng because he was the one who won xie lian’s heart after 800 years and was really happy when he found out that xie lian liked him too. he admires that hua cheng was strong enough to help xie lian so many times. he also likes that hua cheng is a little cocky sometimes (read: very often), and finds hua cheng very good looking. hua cheng was jealous of feng xin for being the first person to be that close to xie lian, but appreciates how loyal he was throughout everything that happened and finds him pretty cool. he likes the way feng xin curses a lot when he’s pissed (finds it endearing)

huayin

A/N: nonny is referencing this ancient post. because the ask is that old. i am but an easily distracted creature of the night, once again. sorry for the wait nonny!

For starters, you can’t let Stu be the one driving. He does not obey the rules of the road. You’re not even sure he knows the rules of the road. If he does, he’s breaking the rules at a frequency level that implies driving unsafely is a casual hobby for him. Like knitting. 

Billy is a better driver. Not always, just when you’re in the car. He’s not gonna risk your life because he likes to go fast and run red lights when he doesn’t see anyone coming.

He’s such a stickler for following the rules in front of you that he side eyes you when you don't do the same. Yes, ladies and gentleman, and gathered beloveds, Billy Loomis is an awful backseat driver. 

He will comment on nearly everything you do while driving the car. Didn’t turn on your signal before changing lines? He noticed. Going over the speed limit? Noticed. Going under the speed limit? Noticed. Didn’t slow down for that curve in the road? Hmmm… lots of things you’re doing wrong. Maybe you should just let him drive. 

If you want to be passenger seat royalty then congratulations! Here’s your boyfriend! If you enjoy driving you will be running to call shotgun on driving, every-time,. Running to beat your boyfriend to the driver’s side car door. Daily humiliation rituals, truly.

It’s enough that you guys have snapped at one another before and finished the drive home in icy silence. You tried to come around to apologize (even though you were not in the wrong) because you know he’s only worried about your safety. 

Also, you were expecting a mutual apology (Billy always sounds pissy, he does not sound any nicer than usual as he’s correcting your driving habits from the passenger seat.) 

So why on Earth did he have to piss you off by saying: “I accept your apology. Just wish you’d pay more attention to the road, honestly.” You have to kill him. It’s the only option left. 

Stu certainly doesn’t help this hostile road environment because he blasts your eardrums to shit every time he gets the AUX. He will also play annoying music on purpose, because he thinks escalating situations is funny. 

He starts playing break up R&B if you guys start really getting into it. Cue Billy turning around to the backseat: “What is your fucking problem, Stu?!”

(One time Stu turned on “I Should Have Cheated by Keyshia Cole” and Billy reached back and started hitting Stu at full strength. You had to pull over the car. What happened to car safety, Billy? What happened to there should be no distractions in the car, Billy?)

Stu would be in charge of navigation but Billy is such a control freak that he can’t let anyone besides himself do it. When he’s the one driving he puts on the navigation voice that tells you when turns are coming up. It interrupts whatever music you have playing every five seconds. He refuses to let you be his navigator. It’s for the better, because if you give Billy a direction too late for him to obey said direction he has to press his lips together very tightly to keep his outside voice from leaving his body in an inside space. 

It’s enough to want to just take a fucking Uber.

first, there’s johnny.

“boring or not you still have to do it, halo.” ghost leans back in his chair and hums, tugging his mask back down over the lower half of his face. he rests his arm back on the armrest, mirroring his other arm, and his legs are slightly spread.

you don’t even have to look over at soap to know his thinking the exact same thing. for a split second, both of you also think how you’ve scored one of the hottest men alive.

“and same applies to you too, soap.” ghost says before the scot could say anything. the small tilt of ghost’s head simply makes him all the more attractive.

soap groans again but still stands up and stretches a little. “i guess we should get going and do our work.” he laughs softly and you stand up as well. “it would be nicer to be doing you though.” he winks at the lieutenant.

the joke is so corny you can’t help but laugh a little. but still, he’s speaking both of your truths.

“get going and i’ll consider letting you do so later.” ghost is quick to reply but he keeps his expression unreadable. he watches both sets of his partners eyes light up and shakes his head. “always need to be rewarded, can’t go a day without it.” he tuts loudly so you both hear his teasing and his shake is head.

“i will have it finished and on your desk within an hour, sir.” soap grins, leaning across the desk to press a kiss over ghost’s mask where his mouth would be. you follow suit and ghost’s heart nearly bursts at the gesture. he won’t ever tell either of you that

but he doesn’t need to, you both know already. you know him.

“i’ll have mine in 45.” you challenge and grin. soap rolls his eyes as he turns towards you, cupping your face in one hand.

“oh, you’re on.” soap smirks at you before kissing you gently. you don’t let him pull back, though. when he does try to pull back you chase after his lips and kiss him again. this only happens twice before the soft whine you let out helps soap catch onto your silly little plan.

he keeps his lips on yours and cups your other cheek while your hands go to his hips, thumbs digging into them just the way he likes. you let him nudge you backwards so you’re sat on the edge of ghost’s desk with your back to the masked man.

you both just go at it, for lack of better words.

ghost just watches. he makes no sounds and keeps his reaction hidden exceptionally well. the only time he moves is to catch the pencil holder you nearly knock over when shoving a hand onto the desk to keep soap from knocking you over with the force of his kisses.

ghost straights the pencil holder, slotting a pen that fell out of the container back in before he finally speaks. “paperwork. get on it. now.”

Possibly an odd q, but what does ambiamorous mean? Or like, whats the dofference betweent hat and polyamorous? Because i figured poly people could also be comfortable in a monogamous sometimes while still being poly, but does that make them ambiamorous by definition, or does it mean something else/more specific?

So this gets into a lot of discourse over whether polyamory is an orientation or simply a relationship structure you can pursue. (I think both are valid and vary from person to person.)

Ignoring that discourse and focusing on what you are asking me, ambiamory is basically a sub-identifier that falls under the polyamory umbrella used for people who are fine with either mono or polyam relationships. They feel no particular need to pursue either, and it causes them no distress to be in either situation.

This is in contrast to some polyamorous people who could not and would never consider monogamy because it would feel like denying a part of themselves and leave them feeling trapped and unfulfilled.

Similarly, some monogamous people cannot tolerate polyamory because it's not how they are wired. They can do all the therapy, follow all the steps, do everything "right," and still feel like something is majorly wrong and distressing.

And that's fine. Polyamory isn't for everyone, just like monogamy isn't for everyone.

These "one or the other" attitudes can be very prevalent in both polyam and mono spaces. For some of us, however, that you have to pick a side is uncomfortable, and feels like we're being shoved into boxes that don't fit.

That's where ambiamory comes in.

So yes, there are some polyamorous people who are fine with just one partner and can feel polysaturated at one partner due to life or other issues, but it's up to them whether they want to use the term ambiamory.

Some people would get quite annoyed if you called them ambiamorous instead of polyamorous because while they might be functionally monogamous at that moment, they do not identify with monogamy on a personal level. And again, that's fine.

The problem we're currently seeing in the community is people who take this view to an extreme and are now calling ambiamorous people interlopers and calling our interest in polyamory a "phase," implying that we're just using polyamorous people to experiment before reverting to monogamy when we find "the one."

It's classic binary "pick a side" discourse, and I'm over it.

is officially open! (Although still new and I am sure there will be issues we discover as we go along.)

This is a blog for readers of queer romance and queer romantic fiction to submit recommendations so that others can discover the treasure trove of queer joy out there.

How does it work? Well, you can follow the blog to receive recs, and hopefully occasionally reblog anything that might strike your fancy, and likewise read anything that looks interesting to you. You can also submit recommendations. All you have to do is follow the format guidelines.

Some quick answers to some possible questions you might have:

Queer means LGBTQIA+. Exclusionists can make their own sad little space.

Romance in this case can mean the genre of Romance (which has certain expectations, like a Happily Ever After or a Happy For Now ending) and other types of fiction with a strong romantic element involving one or many of the main characters. Yes, erotic romance counts.

This means f/f or m/m romance novels, and it can mean a bestselling fantasy or sci fi series with a queer mains and some sort of love story in there. It means gay and lesbian and trans and ace love stories. It means nb stuff. It means aro stuff. It means genderqueer or genderfuck or agender. It means yes polyam too.

And in fact, right now, with the current affairs being what they are, if you have some trans love stories you adore, I'd love to have them recced here.

It also does not just mean written works. Graphic novels and webcomics are welcome! Maybe we can include tv shows or movies in the future but the link part might be tricky? It's possible, anyway.

This blog was originally an idea to help support indie and self-published creators (since a lot of queer creators tend to take that route) but you are welcome to rec traditionally published works too. And original and free stories as long as they are not fanfiction. The more the merrier! This blog is about spreading joy and community support (and a bit about defiance tbh)!

Not culture but gosh I love how being polyamorous teached me to not be jealous and to be more chill about relationship stuff. Like most people would think being polyam and a jealous person will make you even more jealous- but nah!! It helps!

I just love that I can watch my partners being in love with each other and I can think theyre cute instead of being jelly, cause I trust both of them that they love me still. And like, when I happen to feel jealous (because it's a human emotion, of course even poly people experience it) I don't make a scene, I just ask for attention, it's not hard at all!

And that makes me wonder why the hell some non-poly people are so harsh about that kinda stuff. Like I see them making scenes when they're jelly, or not trust their partners at all when they have friends... And im just glad being polyam teached me to stop being like that

Yes!! I feel as though being polyam has made me a much better partner overall - better at communicating, better at compromising, better at wearing my heart on my sleeve. It takes a lot of practice to get comfortable speaking your mind, and relationships tend to require it. It gets so much easier over time :)

Platonic Logicality but what if old friends who fell out with each other that have a surprise accidental reunion bc of a camping trip that's hosted by a mutual friend (who doesn't know about Patton and Logan being old friends)?

It's midlife, late life, whatever. The twins have pursued their passions in acting and horror writing respectively. Virgil has a psychology degree and uses it in his public speaking career where he gives talks about the uglier sides of mental health & gives spaces for misrepresented people to feel heard and seen. Virgil who is aro/ace and is in a qpp polyam partnership with two wonderful people and also has a cat. Janus and Patton are married with a kid they adopted. Janus (she/it) healed and is now doing a lot better and is less manipulative. Logan who became an astronomy professor and fights for better pay for teachers. They were all in a college friend group of the six of them before they parted ways and went on with life.

Logan kept in contact with Roman, Remus, and Virgil & he plans on visiting them three sometime soon after this camping trip. Logan lost touch with Janus, especially after the conflicts between her & Virgil and a past incident between her and Roman. Logan had a falling out years ago with Patton, and so he hasn't talked to Patton or Janus in years.

Logan and Patton reunite by accident during the camping trip. Neither knew that they were mutual friends with the host, an OC of mine named Jackson Moore (they/she). Jackson didn't know Patton and Logan had a shared past.

They're camping in the Northwest woods, a forest called Starfall Forest (based on an actual Northwestern national forest in Oregon, USA; the real forest is called Umatilla National Forest).

Tensions are awkward at first, but they make do. At one point, under a night of stars, outside of tents, Patton & Logan share old memories and catch up. Patton mentions being married to Janus. Logan says something along the lines of "If she [Janus] ever healed for anyone, it would be you" and Patton smiles. They slowly reconnect into friendly acquaintances. Logan offers for him to try and come to Virgil's next get-together. Patton says he'll consider it, especially because of childcare and knowing Virgil may still not want to see Janus.

They go on their separate ways again, but not before exchanging phone numbers. Logan thought ever seeing Patton again would go bad, especially with them dating in college, but it turns out okay.

Bittersweet ending, hurt/comfort, angst, some background Moceit.

Akashi for the ship tier list please, because i'm very predictable

Ok Im not going to give a long explanation about each ship. But I totally am going to give an explanation about most of them.

Senpai♡♡♡: My top 1(they share a position) ships with Akashi, his first captain(and love) and his shadow. I could go on a rant about why they both make such good pairs but then this post would exceed 100,000 words. Ill just conclude by saying that they are top tier(literally)

SS+: MidoAka & TakaAka(they are a package deal) are absolutely adorable. I live both of them Individually but I prefer TakaAka along witb Mido(because MidoTakaAka is superior)

MibuAka: Ive already explained my thoughts on these two about a 100 times so ill just summarize. Both of them love each other so much it doesnt even matter whether its romantic or platonic. Reo just cares about Akashi so much and Akashi views Reo as someone so special to him its just a very good ship.

NashAka: Nash has a crush on Akashi. Enough said.

AoAka: Also have spoken about them quite a bit. Their friendship is so sweet and they have so much trust and faith in each other. They think so highly of eachother. Plus that dialogue in the kuroko's birthday ova was very cute.

KiAka: Very cute and fluffy pairing. Akashi saw Kise's potential from the beginning and encourage him to grow. Kise would definitely include akashi in a bunch of them and make him happy.

SS: This post is getting very long and I want to talk more about the other tiers so ill just include all of them here. All of these ships are very cute and Akashi would benefit a lot from these relationships. The friendships alone are great and the characters themselves are some of Akashi's greatest friends. Riko and Akashi would be a spectacular duo and im not elaborating any further.

I read one fic about these and I see the vision: I read a HanaAka fic(Beyond the waiting room and its sequel by sweet rosei) and I absolutely adored it. It does not only have the ship but it also talks about akashi's mental health, the selectivism about violence and Hanamiya's violence as well. Overall great fic 10/10 would recommend. Im definitely more open to this ship because of it.

OgiAka is a very special ship. I imagine that after the winter cup the GoM apologise to Ogiwara for the 111-11 match and afterwards Ogiwara asks akashi whether he likes basketball and this time Akashi says yes and I think it would be a very cute moment between the two.

Brothers: I know that AkaAka is a ship(pretty weird if you ask me) but I really cant see them as anything other than brothers. They love and care for each other more than anything. Bokushi was created to protect Oreshi and would do anything for him. One of my favorite things about them is thr character song "Return" when Akashi says " Now along with my other self" or something along those lines and its just so sweet that Oreshi is bringing his little brother with him on his healing journey.

Polyam: NijiHaiAka and MuraHimuAka that is all
