Quirrel is absolutely hopeless when it comes to flirting

All he knows how to do is info dump to you until you agree to go out with him

But as he much as he likes to talk, he also loves to listen to you rant about things you're interested in

He takes detailed mental notes of all the things you talk about and asks lots of questions just out of pure curiosity

Quirrel also loves to read to you, his favorite being a book of old Hallownest folktales

He'll read them to you at night until you fall asleep and sometimes in the morning to wake you up

He's just a huge need who loves having someone who not only tolerates but enjoys his eccentricities

Nailmaster Mato:

Tbh, he also gives me huge dork vibes but in more of a himbo sense

He may not know much about academics or fancy things like that, but he has a really big heart and an impressive understanding of others emotions

He tends to know exactly when and why you're feeling down and how to cheer you up

Also you cannot look me in the eyes and say this man's love language isn't physical affection. He was basically built for bear hugs

Mato is also super passionate about the nail arts and, like Quirrel, takes any and all opportunities to ramble about them

He's definitely an extrovert who felt incredibly lonely and isolated after his falling out with his brothers, but he has you now, so maybe everything won't be so bad

Hornet:

She is DEFINITELY super protective as an s.o

Not even in a jealousy way but more like a she thinks your life is in constant danger way

She doesn't really know how to show affection in regular ways, so protecting you is her way of showing she loves you

She's also not great at receiving sincere affection that isn't masked behind something else, but she opens up to you over time

It's nice for her to finally have someone to lean on, to make the world feel less cold and lonely

Pure Vessel:

With Hornet, it was about protecting you from outside dangers, but with the Pure Vessel, they're more worried about protecting you from themself

They can still remember when the Radiance was a part of them and the horrible things they did because of it, and they're terrified that they'll do something to hurt you

It's you, however, who shows them that they don't have to fear that anymore, and they slowly start to trust themself again

This is the first time someone has loved them unconditionally. Even before the Radiance, they were only valued because of their purpose as the perfect vessel.

You made them feel safe and showed them that love doesn't have to be earned.

(Also, bonus: it's my personal headcannon that the Pure Vessel is a great cook but Hornet is absolute shit at it, so do with that what you will)
