I love paying attention to the way Wayne Manor is described in fanfics, because it ranges from „that’s a McMansion at the largest“ all the way too „multiple ballrooms? This isn’t a palace!“

This isn’t batman/dc related, but I put a lot of effort into it and I know it won’t get as much attention if I only post it on my main
Octupus Amigurumi
I posted a pick a few weeks ago of some amigurumi octopi I made. The smallest are from a club crochet pattern, but the larger ones I designed myself from that pattern. These are those patterns! My description for how to do the mouth might be a little hard to understand, so I recommend looking at the original pattern's video if you get lost.
Small Octopus
Row 1: Magic Ring 6
Row 2: Inc around (12)
Row 3: [sc, inc] around (18)
Row 4: [sc 2, inc] around (24)
Rows 5-8: sc around (24)
Row 9: [sc 4, invdec] around (20)
Row 10: sc 9, switch to eye color: mini bobble, switch to main color: sc 2, do mouth by slst into work in a circle (everytime I've made this I've done a slightly different circle, aim for 7-8 slsts) then sc into those slsts, back to the body stitches: sc 2, switch to eye color: mini bobble, sc 5 (20)
Row 11: sc around (20)
Row 12: in the front loop only: [slst,{ch,dc 3,slst},slst,{ch,dc 3},slst] around (20)
note: the different placements of the slip stitches is intentional, and makes it possible to get 8 legs (tentacles in the original pattern though that's technically incorrect terminology) out of 20 stitches, alternatively you could decrease to 16 st in the previous row and do the tentacles as in the original pattern, though the octopus may look a little too pulled in
Row 13: in the back loop from the previous round: [sc 2, dec] around (15)
Row 14: [sc, dec] around (10)
stuff
Row 15: dec around (5)
cut yarn, use yarn needle to run tail through stitches of final row, pull closed and hide tail
Medium Octopus
Row 1: Magic Ring 6
Row 2: Inc around (12)
Row 3: [sc, inc] around (18)
Row 4: [sc 2, inc] around (24)
Row 5: [sc 3, inc] around (30)
Rows 6-10: sc around (30)
Row 11: [sc 13, invdec] around (28)
Row 12: [sc 5, invdec] around (24)
Row 13: sc 15, switch to eye color: bobble, switch to main color: sc 2, do mouth by slst into work in a circle (everytime I've made this I've done a slightly different circle, aim for 7-9 slsts) then sc into those slsts, back to the body stitches: sc 2, switch to eye color: bobble, sc 3 (24)
Row 14: sc around (24)
Row 15: in the front loop only: [slst,{dc 2, tc},{tc,dc 2}] around (24)
Row 16: in the back loop from the previous round: [sc 2, dec] around (18)
Row 17: [sc, dec] around (12)

Large Octopus
Row 1: Magic Ring 6
Row 2: Inc around (12)
Row 3: [sc, inc] around (18)
Row 4: [sc 2, inc] around (24)
Row 5: [sc 3, inc] around (30)

Row 12: [sc 16, invdec] around (34)
Row 13: [sc 15, invdec] around (32)

Row 21: dec around (6)

Extra Large Octopus

Row 17: sc 23, do mouth by slst into work in a circle (everytime I've made this I've done a slightly different circle, aim for 8-10 slsts) then sc into those slsts, back to body stitches: sc 9 (32)
Row 18: sc around (32)
Row 19: in the front loop only: [slst,{dc 2, tc},{tc,dc 2},slst] around (32)

Row 22: [sc, dec] around (12)
stuff
Row 23: dec around (6)
cut yarn, use yarn needle to run tail through stitches of final row, pull closed and hide tail
And there's all the variations I've made! Once you've got a feel for the patterns, feel free to play around with the placement and size of the eyes and mouth till you find your favorite version

The problem with the continuous nature of comics/ shared comics universes, is inevitably almost every change in the status quo will be undone. Characters don’t stay dead, organizations don’t stay defeated and most annoyingly superheroes can never make lasting changes on their communities.
This isn’t too bad for characters like Superman, whose main is to protect people from threats as they pop up, but when it comes to Batman it means he can never make lasting improvements to his city. He must always be ineffective. It doesn’t matter if the change is locking villains up or building a homeless shelter, any change that would end up making Batman‘s existence unnecessary has to be undone to allow for the continued existence of the comic

At some point I need to see YJ helping out after a fight destroys a lot of buildings, and for Cassie to be taken in by the construction butches. I think it would heal her (undo the bs that started with tt03)

The funniest thing to me is when people pull the whole “outsider complains about how gloomy Gotham is” thing with one of the arrows. Like guys, Star is canonically Seattle. Not even a stand in for Seattle, unless they decanonized it, it’s canonically been Seattle with a new name since 2017. The arrow fam can handle some gloominess

Ok so it’s canon that Bruce and Clark look similar enough to swap places. If they were the same species you’d assume they were secretly related. But Clark is often described, at least by fanon as looking inhumanly perfect. Supernaturally blue eyes for example.
My point is, Bruce having Clark sit in for him gor a photo shoot.

Will I ever see your face again?/Not just photos from an Instagram/Will you say hello from across the street?/From a place and time we used to meet/Sometimes everything just grows apart/Broken pieces from a busted heart/Not even the drugs seem to work/Living in the shadows where we lurk
Outside my window before the sun comes up to shine/It's just another vacant, cold, and lonely night
Do you remember the jokes we told?/Rumors from a long, long time ago/Did we get over our innocence?/Did we take the time to make amends?/Will you dedicate a song to me?/Do you want me to just go away?/I just want to be your nobody/Is there any chance that I can stay?
Outside my window there is nothing but a sky/It's just another vacant, cold, and lonely night

I’m just. Ugh. Tim’s no longer a kid. He’s lost so much. Such Red Robin/just before RR vibes
I’m having Tim Drake x Green Day songs thoughts if anyone wants to hear them

Ok so:
Suzie Chapstick is giving such Tim breakup vibes. I think it could work with TimSteph, TimDanny, JayTim (especially if they were dating when Jason died) or immediate post brucequest DickTim
I NEED a fic about all Tim’s relationships called Bobby Sox
(Older thought but I don’t think I shared it here) Tim singing She’s a Rebel to Steph when they were dating, particularly either when she’s pregnant (friends idea) or near the end pre wargames (and she’s dangerous)(also the timing would fit with the songs release)
I’m having Tim Drake x Green Day songs thoughts if anyone wants to hear them

I think the Montana/Wyoming thing is a matter of them being Northwest but not Pacific Northwest
Ok I’ve seen this come up in too many fics so, psa: Kansas is not in the South. People from Kansas do not have southern accents. Please stop calling the Kents southern. The word you are looking for is Midwest.
#honestly they have about as much in common with the PNW as the Midwest#and I say that as someone with family in/from all 3
