I CHANNELED FOR THE FIRST TIME
So, recently I’ve been having the typical spiritual awakening - third eye opening symptoms, but mundane before magickal, so I just took it as a flu thing maybe.
Simultaneously, i think i’ve been receiving A LOT of signs and synchronicities from my guides - from angel numbers to actually “cure” a condition (after i asked for it) i’ve been dealing with for 5 years - but i just thought i was being biased so I took it with a grain of salt.
but yesterday...
Yesterday night I felt a stronger presence than usual in the room and, out of nowhere, i started picturing a cooking pot and the word for it (in italian); I had no idea of why that was, so I just said the word out loud to my bf and that’s where it all started: I started channeling his grandma.
It felt like a “oh so you’re listening!” moment after i said that word out loud ahah; I started visualising parts of her house i never set foot in, some parts in such accurate details that we were both shocked, but blessed. I even described some objects that were moved after she passed away.
Unfortunately, I never got to meet that beautiful soul, being passed a few months before my bf and I became a thing; but, after the experienced (being all confirmed by my bf obv), I saw her hugging me in a black void and then leaving me. I think she was saying thank you <3.
That has been probably my most powerful experience so far, but was left with such a warmth inside by her...
I’ve always felt called by that kind of path: channeling spirits, interacting with them and hopefully help them, work with them, etc. but I never thought I’d be capable of doing so. The presence of spirits usually never scare me tho, so I think maybe they would like to work with me too instead of scaring me (obv not all spirits want to scare people ahah but my bf and I have different reactions to them). I’ve never tried to actively work with them ‘cause I need to study more before, but i did establish some rules they’ve been respecting and allowing them to send me messages and stuff but never touch me :)
So, what do you guys think? What kind of ~vibe~ have you gotten from this? Is my intuition right?
If that wasn’t enough:
I asked my cards if I actually am opening my third eye and this was their response 🥰
Blessed be!

Tarot Tips
🃏 Find The Empress in your deck. The card behind her will reveal what you need to do to nurture and care for yourself.
🃏 When in conflict or competition with someone, look for 5 of Wands. The card behind it will reveal the solution to the problem.
🃏 If you see the same card over and over again in readings, it is a sign and you must pay attention to its message for you.
🃏 For a better understanding of each card, observe it closely and form your own interpretation that follows its themes. It will help you interpret readings better.
🃏 To find out what is making you feel stuck or delayed, look to The Hanged Man. The card underneath him will show what is holding you back. The card in front of him will show you how to overcome it.
🃏 When shuffling your cards, if any card drops out of your grasp, take it as a sign and read the card.
🃏 You do not need crystals with you to do proper readings, but a good way to cleanse your deck is to place a clear quartz on the top of your deck before each reading. Keep in mind; there’s a variety of ways you can cleanse your deck.
🃏 Often when The High Priestess appears in a reading, she is trying to tell you that you know the answers and that you should listen to your inner voice.
🃏 There is no wrong way to shuffle or cleanse your deck. Do what feels right for you!

Why are ‘witch tips’ always like “use quartz as a substitute for any crystal!” and not the good stuff like “River spirits are almost always looking to fuck shit up, so if you rile em up and then feed them a name, they’ll lay someone tf out.”

Ancestor Worship in Recon TradCraft... with GIFs!
These practices are not dead, so we are not reconstructing them. In my Southern Italian family, for example, it’s something that is done today. So I will explain this European practice not as something to rebuild but just as something to describe.
#Step 1: Free a table or an altar or a shelf
#Step 2: Put a photo, a representation, a drawing, a portrait of your beloved dead or an object possessed in life by them (if you don’t have any of this, use a representative candle)
#Step 3: Buy flowers and put them near the Ancestor representation. Change them regularly or when they dry out
#Step 4: When you want to contact them (for example once a week), lit a candle as offerings to them and pray or go in trance, contact them with divination, ask a favor or do magic with their help
#Step 5: If you want to dream them, ask them, after the offering and before going to sleep, to appear to you oneirically
#Step 6: In your normal life, if you pass near their photos, send them a kiss or bow in front of them and think about them. They will always be with you

What are the biggest differences between worshipping the Greeks and the Roman gods? And are the Roman Gods the same as the Greeks, only different faces or completely different deities?
Hello, Anon!
I think the format of prayer and ritual is the biggest difference between worshiping Greek and Roman gods The Romans wished to avoid giving even the appearance offense to the gods and were painstaking in avoiding the possibility of their words being misinterpreted. For example, they would say, “I offer this portion of wine” so there was no possible misunderstanding that the worshiper had promised an entire amphora - or the entire vintage - and had reneged by offering only a few milliliters. There were other differences, of course, such as religious gestures and various procedural details. The Roman attention to detail was manifest in the bringing of scrolls with written instructions and prayers to use at public rituals.
The pantheons of the Greeks and Romans - and a number of other cultures - share common features inherited from the Proto-Indo-Europeans. Some people believe they’re the same gods with different faces, and some think they’re completely different deities. This is partly because we have few Roman stories about their deities (the Romans themselves actively embraced the corpus of Greek mythology) and partly because, in negotiating cultural differences, the Romans themselves identified and associated deities of other cultures with their own.* Cultures also adopted the deities of other cultures. The Greek Apollo is generally recognized as the Etruscan Apulu and the Roman Apollo.
Should we then assume, because the Romans identified Aphrodite as “the Greek Venus”, Aphrodite actually is Venus? I don’t think so. Although the Romans identified Mercury with Wotan, I’d be surprised if anyone today regards them as the same deity. I’m not sure there are many, if any, practitioners of Religio Romana who believe Iuppiter, Juno, Diana, Bacchus, Minerva, Vesta, Mars, or Venus are the same as their Greek counterparts.
But, while I think the more one studies Venus and Aphrodite, or Bacchus and Dionysus, the similarities become more superficial and the differences more apparent. I acknowledge that it’s a matter of individual perspective. The similarities and the differences actually exist; it’s up to the individual worshiper to decide which is more respectful to the deity and most important in their personal practice. This is one of those situations where divination and UPG can provide guidance.
It’s also important to remember that the 12 Olympian deities aren’t the only ones worshiped by the Romans, or even regarded as the most central. Janus was and is a major Roman god with no Greek counterpart, and there are a plethora of other unique Roman deities. Each family worshiped household deities, including the Lares, the Penates, the Genius and Juno of the family’s leaders, as well as ancestral deities and deities of locale. Personifications of virtues, cities, provinces, and the nūmina of certain objects were honored as deities, and deceased (and, occasionally, living) emperors and their family were accorded cult. In these aspects, the practice of Roman religion greatly differed from the Greek.
*The conflation of Greek deities with Roman is complicated in the present by writers interchanging Greek and Roman names in books about classical mythology. This sometimes occurs in translations of primary sources, and students who don’t read Latin sometimes must puzzle over whether ancient Romans used the Greek names for Roman gods, or if a translator simply decided to use the Greek names for an undisclosed reason.
