Comfort spray🐻
Spray this blend on your blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, anything that gives you comfort or that you’d like to give you comfort, or anything you’d like to make you feel comfortable
*If you don’t have the oils you can use the plant version (but I recommend making a tea and then straining it so it doesn’t clog your spray bottle)
Ingredients:
-a spray bottle
-water
-1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract (relaxation, warmth, anti-anxiety)
-ylang-ylang oil (7 drops)(anti-anxiety, positivity, euphoria, relaxation)
-cinnamon oil or clove oil (2-3 drops) (warmth, calm, healing)
-frankincense oil (7 drops)(warmth, positivity, mood lifter)
-chamomile oil (4 drops) (warmth, anti-anxiety, comfort, healing)
-rose or lavender oil (6 drops)(anti-anxiety, comfort, healing, love)
**this blend pairs nicely with a warm cup of chamomile tea
Remember you can substitute oils for plants, for those using the oils, the amounts I used were based on my own preferences and you by no means have to use the same amount

on the first day of class my astronomy professor asked us why the night sky was dark. if our universe is infinite, how can there be spaces between the stars? he didn’t answer the question until the last day– because our universe is relatively young, and is still growing. it is finite. not enough stars or galaxies have been formed to fill up the entire night sky.
but what that means to me is that somewhere, in an older universe, the night sky looks like a tapestry of diamonds. somewhere darkness is pale white and glittering. imagine being so surrounded. i haven’t gotten that image out of my head ever since– you could never navigate under such a sky but god it sounds lovely

Pyromancy:
Definition: Divining with fire. (from Greek pyros, “fire,” and manteia, “divination”)
Background Information:
Pyromancy is thought to be one of the earliest forms of divination (thought to have been used since the discovery of fire), in a nutshell, it encompasses varying different subcategories (later in post) that all have something in common: fire. It is a divination method using fire or smoke. Pyromancy was classified as one of the “forbidden arts” in the Renaissance times. It has ties to Hellenic polytheism, specifically Athena and Hephaestus.
Types of Pyromancy:
Alomancy (casting salt into a fire)
Botanomancy (burning plants)
Capnomancy (smoke)
Daphnomancy (burning laurel leaves)
Osteomancy (burning bones)
Sideromancy (burning straw)
Simple/Beginner Pyromancy Techniques:
Candles
Campfires
Fireplaces
Matches
Lighters
Burning herb bundles
Bonfires
Incense
Performing Basic Pyromancy:
A common way to perform pyromancy is interpreting the shape, colour, and intensity of flames and/or smoke.
Another way to practice pyromancy is quite similar to scrying and is done by staring into the flames and/or smoke of the fire until a vision/answer comes to light (also called “fire scrying”).
Pyromancy Interpretation Meanings:
Highly active flames are seen as a good sign (or a “yes”), while lower flame activity is seen as negative (or a “no”).
A single flame is positive, a flame split in two is negative.
If the fire has a blue tinge, it’s thought to mean a spirit is present. Two flames on a candle wick can also have the same meaning.
If the flame goes out at your question, it is negative. If it grows at your question, it is positive. If it stays still, it is indifferent.

Quick idea I had and need to note down before I forget it:
a witch bottle designed not to harm the incoming energies (like most witch bottles seem to be with their nails, thorns and black pepper) or block them (like the protective witch bottles I’ve seen with rosemary and basil), but filter and transmute.
Somebody throwing bad luck at you? Great, you’re giving me energy, I’ll filter it and change it into a blessing.
“When life gives you lemons” sort of idea, inspired by a post I’ve seen floating around about that witches shouldn’t ground bad energy, but filter it and transmute it, because earth can only take so much negative.
