I love the idea of ANY twist cast having children, its so cute and interesting thinking of how each of them interact with there young. I just got done watching the animated lion King movie and was wondering if I could request head cannons for how my fave characters riddle and the seafood trio would react to there kids disobeying them and nearly putting themselves in danger like simba, when mufasa saved him from the hyenas? (They could save there kids from sharks or lowlife thugs. )

Curiouser and Curiouser...

“Off with your Head!!” The clink of collars snapping around the necks of his child’s attackers signals Riddle’s arrival upon the scene. His kid might be happy to see their dad at first, but their smile quickly fades when they see the stern look on his face.

Riddle’s furious--his face has taken on the same shade of red has his hair, and you can see the veins bulging on his forehead as he storms over to you. Each step is marked by the decisive click of his heels along the pavement, striking fear into both his child and their subdued attackers.

He seizes his kid by the hand and drags them out of the unsafe situation, but they’re mistaken if they think this is the last Riddle will speak on the matter. In fact, he launches into a tirade right then and there, not caring if bits and pieces of it are heard by others.

“What in Twisted Wonderland were you thinking?! How could you disobey me like that and deliberately... knowingly... put yourself in danger!? Haven’t I always taught you to respect the rules?! They are called rules for a reason!!”

Riddle’s throwing things out one after another so fast--so blinded by sheer anger--that it’s hard for his child to get any words in themselves. It’s not until he realizes that they’re on the verge of bursting into tears that his rage simmers down.

A terrible thought occurs to him: he has, perhaps, gone overboard. He has lashed out, just as his own mother had to him, just has he had to his dorm members, all those years ago.

Riddle releases them and crouches down to meet them at eye level, his expression softening. “... I’m sorry. That was too much,” he confesses. “I don’t know what came over me. When I learned you were in danger, all I saw was red... and that red spilled over. I couldn’t contain it.”

The heart-to-heart finally causes his child to cry--though not from sadness or from fear, but from relief and happiness. Riddle gives a sympathetic smile and a hug, carrying them in his arms all the way home. (... But he gently reminds them as they cross the threshold that they’re still grounded until further notice. He can’t be too lenient with their sentence!)

“Gentlemen.” Azul’s cool voice immediately catches the attention of those threatening his child. He arrives on the scene with a smile, all suited up in business professional attire, as if ready to negotiate for a hostage situation. “I believe you have something of mine. I would appreciate it if you kindly returned them to me.”

His attempt at diplomacy falls on deaf ears, which makes him sigh. He had been hoping he could hold off on expending his magic on insignificant anemones like them, but when push comes to shove... Azul finishes them off with one blow of devastatingly powerful water magic.

With the rouges waterlogged and defeated, he briskly approaches and scoops up his terrified child. “Are you unhurt?” Azul asks--and when he has his reply, he nods solemnly and whisks you home without another word.

It’s a nerve-wracking trip for his kid, because it’s so hard to tell what’s on their father’s mind. Azul’s expression is set in a steely look that they only know as his “business” mode--and when he dons that guarded persona, they can’t get an accurate gauge on his true feelings.

When they arrive home and Azul shuts the door behind them, that’s when he loses it. His eyes water, and his grip on his kid tightens into almost a vice grip--so tight they fear their limbs might be ripped right off.

“Do you have any idea how worried I was?! You vanished out of the blue, and I had NO inkling as to your whereabouts! The call came in the middle of work, and I rushed out to find you, contracts be damned...!! What if I hadn’t come to save you?! What if I had come just a second too late?! Then you’d be shark bait, and this silly old octopus would have been powerless to do a single thing...!!”

The longer Azul talks, the more his façade deteriorates, regressing to his far less confident personality. His child has to tug on his sleeves or slap his cheeks to get him to snap back from a realm of endless worry. He looks at them with clear eyes once more as they mumble an apology.

Azul sighs again and offers his hand, pinkie finger extended. It is accepted, and they shake on it, making a silent promise. On the child’s end, to stay safe and to obey their father more closely, and on Azul’s end, to have more faith in his own abilities. “It’s a deal.”

Familiar hands grasp theirs and guide them to block their eyes. Before the child can ask who’s there, they’re met with a “Shhhhh”. A whisper in the dark prompts them into silence, and to step back.

The kid can’t tell what’s happening next. All they can do is try to discern the sounds from one another. Shouts of terror ring out. Wet thuds, sharp cracks, whimpers of pain. Begs for mercy that are not granted. Jade’s child doesn’t look again until it has fallen totally silent.

There stands their father amidst a sea of carnage, all the baddies fallen around him, blood blossoming upon their clothes--and yet their father himself is relatively clean of red, save for some on his shoes and a bit flicked across his face and gloves. Jade smiles warmly, a finger to his lips--a wordless request to stay mum about what they heard.

He’s quick to examine them for external injuries, as well as less apparent ones, asking them a series of questions to assess their emotional state. At first, his kid is still reeling and panicking from the situation, but Jade’s mere presence and soothing voice work to quickly calm them.

Jade remarks that they must be tuckered out from their little adventure, and offers to ferry his child home on his back. They climb onto him, pressing their cheek against him, and warily ask if he’s angry with them. Still smiling, Jade insists he’s not (but if they know anything about their dad, it’s that saying “I’m not upset” actually means, “I am indeed upset AND disappointed in you.”)

He holds true to his promise and carries them home, but makes it a point to “accidentally” step on his fallen prey as he walks away from the scene of the crime. Jade inwardly relishes in their cries of pain with a chuckle, but the sadism goes undetected by his child.

Upon arriving home, Jade sets them down in bed and fetches a first aid kit to tend to any minor wounds they may have sustained. When he reenters his child’s bedroom, he finds that their eyes are growing heavy--and so, with a pat on the head, he coaxes them to rest. “Today was just a bad dream. Sleep, and it will all be better by tomorrow.”

The next day, Jade announces that they’ll be put on a strict training regimen. When his child protests, he cuts them off with a frosty smile. “These are the consequences for falling out of line, little one. Fufu. My mother taught me material arts when I was your age. There is no reason why you cannot do the same.” (It may be tough love, but Jade wants his child to be able to fend for themselves and to not be entirely reliant on him!)

“Found you.” Floyd throws himself into the fray without hesitation or restraint. His destructive tendencies come out in full force, and bodies go flying in all directions. Thanks to Bind the Heart, counterattacks seem to bounce harmlessly off of him as he advances, continuing to wail on his opponents.

He lacks Jade’s grace and tact, so Floyd doesn’t really care if his kid sees something... unsavory... while he’s taking out the trash. Bones break, necks are squeezed, until his victims go unconscious. That’ll teach them to mess with his family. It also gives him the change to show off a bit in front of his kid, which makes him more excitable than usual.

Floyd makes a bit of a show with his violence, asking his victims if they want to be spared before brutally smashing their face into the dirt or clocking them with a good punch or kick--and whenever a body skids near his child, he’ll call out and encourage them to join in on beating up the poor guy that’s already black and blue.

He’s messy with his clean up (if you can even call it that), leaving bodies strewn around instead of in a neat little heap at his feet. (It’s like a little kid just left their toys everywhere.) Floyd also doesn’t care for how disheveled or dirty he gets--his clothes are totally soaked in blood and sweat by the time he’s finished with his rescue operation.

He staggers toward his kid and snatches them right up, smearing red all over their clothes as he tucks them under his arm or over his shoulder. While the kid squeals in confusion, Floyd stomps off, leaving a trail of blood and death in his wake.

After a few minutes of wandering who knows where, his mood clears up a bit and he finally speaks up. “... That was a dumb stunt you pulled. If you wanted to break the rules, you should’ve told me about it first. Then I would’ve joined you.” Floyd inclines his head and flashes a cheeky grin. “I never liked being held down by rules anyway~”

He pinches his kid’s cheek and then punches a fist in the air, declaring that now he’s feeling hungry, so they should grab some grub on the way home! They bicker (because Floyd is super indecisive on where he wants to eat) and finally settle on an all-you-can-eat buffet so he can grab a little bit of everything! (The staff member that seats the pair looks disturbed by all the red that they’re covered in, but avoids calling the police when Floyd casually drops a reminder about his connections to the mob.)

He and his kid pile their plates high with food and spend the evening putting together strange combinations (jello and corn, anyone?) and blowing bubbles in their drinks. As Floyd pays for the extravagant meal, he slips his little one a wink and the promise that what happened today will be “just a secret” between the two of them--and perhaps Uncle Jade, too.
