Can we stop representing anti depressants as this horrible thing and representation of mental illness that just means “oh they’re really down in the dumps now!” Anti depressants are a resource, they’re supposed to help and stigmatizing them (just like any other important medication) only helps to drive people away from using them when they need it. Instead, I feel like the imagery of a lack of anti depressants or even a full bottle that a person refuses/is unable to take is more powerful, no? Like the person just can’t access the help they need, even if it’s right in front of them
