I would just say, “I don’t feel romantic attraction to anyone.” If they don’t get how you couldn’t feel that, I would show them a picture of someone of a gender they’re not romantically attracted to, and ask them what they feel. If they say, “I don’t feel anything romantic towards them”, say, “That’s how I feel about everyone”

Modern au is underway but my silly little brain comes up with ideas faster than I can write so now I have a doc devoted to random plot threads.

The way some people cannot understand that when I, an aroace-spec person, call someone "hot" it doesn't mean I'd like to share bed with them, but that I think they are a pleasing sight for my eyes. Yeah, they have good features. Yeah, they are pretty/handsome. That's it. Nothing more, it's just nice to look at them. Just like looking at some flower or aesthetically pleasing food. You don't need to like the scent of that flower or taste of that food, but it looks nice.

What happens with aroace coded characters in fandoms that really annoys me:

Frodo Baggins: never involved in a relationship, loves his friends — fandom: he’s so in love with Sam, he even lets him and his family live with him

Bilbo Baggins: never married, dedicates his life to writing, adopts Frodo and loves him like a son — fandom: I ship him with Thorin so much

Sherlock Holmes: dedicated his life to his work, very loyal to his friends, never married or had a real relationship — fandom: he’s in love with Irene! He’s in love with John!

Aziraphale & Crowley: canonically ace according to the book, poster characters for a qpr — fandom: why don’t they just f**k? Why don’t they just k**s? This is queerbaiting!

There are probably more examples because it’s definitely a pattern.

I would like to preface this by saying that I thought the actual ending was very well done. I thought it tied things off nicely and gave a satisfactory conclusion.

However. It also emotionally ruined me.

I am genuinely so fucking sick of seeing "asexual" characters (canon or headcanoned) that are infact aromantic, and while people can be both (and this is valid and derserving of representation), the assumption that to be asexual means you are also aromantic is a problem. It is a problem that is seated in not understanding what asexuality is.

If you want the character to be both then say they are both don't only label it asexual and then leave us aces who aren't aromantic to explain the difference ad nauseum

This is one of the few ghost opinion questions that I can answer without any debate.

Season 4 - It’s behind you

I adore the pantomime (obviously), we get Pat hurt/comfort, we get ghost presents (which I love because I love seeing the links to characters), and we fet the fun dynamics between characters (particularly the Cap and Kitty moment.

Oh and the Plaguers. I love the Plaguers.
