This could happen in Marvel OR Gotham,, I fear I love Spiderman in Gotham fics and them not knowing about his healing factor at first would help this plot line so much.

Imagine this. Whether it's Spiderman or Peter Parker, he gets hurt super bad. Needs stitches level. So, while he's out (or awake, and he politely lets them do what they need to do) whoever he's with stitches him up. They don't know about his healing. So, while he's at their place, in the middle of the night (another day? I can't remember just how fast his factor is, just before someone else would) he realizes the material is going to heal into his skin if he isn't fast.

He has to tear the stitches out- angst moment. Imagine it. Blood in the bathroom and he's even gotta clean it after.

Does he get caught? Is that even more angst or is it comfort (ouuuu a stubborn Jason Todd "what the HELL are you doing??" I see it.)

My description I am fearful doesn't do my vision justice. Please tell me you see it. And if you write it please tag me you don't even really need to credit me I just NEED to see this happen. What if I begged really nicely for this.

I'm not really a DC fan and most/all my superman knowledge is word of mouth. HOWEVER!! I have ideas... let me know if they are stupid.

I noticed people talk about his ability to hear heartbeats and recognize who they belong to. What IF!!!!

Shapeshifter (vigilante or otherwise) whomst superman begins to like- recognize? No matter the form? Like he simply sort of observes-

Maybe coworkers too? Like

He notices that for some reason, and this doesn't happen often, his cute coworker has the same heartbeat as the vigilante he keeps coming across. But- they don't look the same, and, he couldn't imagine his coworker doing all that truthfully. And- they also have the same heartbeat as that stranger he bumped into the other day? Who also made a face as if they knew him?

I just like the idea that he's already fond of you as either the one or the multiple identities he's familiar with- and starts to connect the dots because he knows you. Even if you put on a different face or a whole other body, he knows exactly how to spot you in a crowd.

Maybe even if you're doing spy work as like, a cat or a bird. He's like. Weird- that dog has a strangely human heartbeat. That dog ALSO has Y/N's heartbeat. Weird. (He for sure gave it some snacks in case it was (it is) you).

Wade Wilson x Reader | Coffee mug

I have no time and no prospects but I want to write a quick one shot. Might be totally out of character. You all know I can NEVER resist a late night soft fic. Love and light!! Warning: stoner alert WARNING: UNFINISHED This has been in my drafts for actual ages and it's not gonna get done. Ever. I just have to post it at this point.

It was a late night, in your shitty apartment. Wade had wanted to move out of his place with Al for a while now, and you were looking for a roommate. It was only a matter of time before he'd eventually move into your place. At least there were two beds now, even if you two shared a room with a crappy little divider between.

The night was cold, and it would bite at you if you stood outside. You didn't entirely know where Wade went all the time, you'd only had some vague idea. All you knew was that when he left, he didn't normally come back for a long while.

That being said, he'd only left that morning. You'd gone to work soon after he left and returned home in the night, stressed and consequently frustrated. You were pissed.

All day, customers hated you and god did it seem as though the lord hated you more. Your muscles ached and your brain hurt. The moon shone bright, and there seemed just one way to unwind.

Wade couldn't name a time he'd seen you relax. Ever since moving in with you, it'd been a continuous spectacle of you either leaving for work or sleeping in bed. Your waking moments were often spent either finishing chores or figuring out how to pay for everything. He tried to help, but, there's only so much a man can do. So, he was surprised to get home early from a 'job' (assassinating a criminally under-protected political figure) to find the lights on and your bed empty. The sound of bustling absent, no sign of sleep nor restlessness.

There was the sound of music, louder than you usually played it. Muffled only slightly by the rickety window that led to the fire escape. He swears that window couldn't muffle nothing, not even the sound of the wind.

He'd walked up to the window, planning on barging in on you until he saw the scene. You'd somehow managed to get one of the old (thrifted) kitchen chairs out onto the fire escape, sitting in it with your legs up on the rails. Something held loose in your fingers, head back against the chair. The music wasn't so loud, but enough that he worried about the neighbor's opinions. He walked up politely, knocking on the window. Something that felt incredibly out of character, but, this was a rare moment for sure.

You fell off the chair, movements slowed as you get up and open the window. "Wade? Did you not leave just this mornin'?" there's a slight slur as you speak, seemingly not drunk but somehow inebriated. Eyes half lidded as you look up at him from where you were leaning lazily against the windowsill.

"Yeah, scumbag had the WORST security of the century. You'd think they were protecting a piggy bank with three dollars total up in there. I was in and out. Are you smoking out here?" He rambled, speaking quickly before halting himself to ask. "Nah. Just bathing in the moonlight" The stars seemed to sparkle through the dense city fog, just barely peaking in through clouds of smog.

You lean back into the chair, looking up. "You in or you out, mission man?" He smiles, you can see it under his mask. "Are you always this corny in that head of yours?" His suit's blood stained, and covered in what might be dirt. He kinda smelled like shit but, around here, what didn't? "We gotta get you inside before you freeze to death. You're in your pjs" he climbs out onto the fire escape, reaching a hand out to help you up. You whine a slight bit, earning a raised brow from him. You really had too much.

"It feels so nice out here!" you reject, falling further into the chair. "Alright, don't say I didn't tell you" is the only warning you get before he moves his arms under you, lifting as he makes his way back to the window and crawling in. You hit him lightly but he doesn't budge, cracking jokes along the way until he reaches the couch. "I oughta, uh," Each threat or insult you start up seems to fall flat when you forget what you're saying. He already knows you aren't serious when you do that, it only adds another hint of amusement to watch you lose track mid sentence. He sets you down, standing straight above you. His hand is resting on his hip, tilting his head when he speaks "I've seen Blind Al more comprehensible after a two day bender!" He remarks, mirth dripping from his voice.

You wave a hand from your spot on the couch, moving to lay on your side. "I'm sure you've seen plenty" It doesn't make much of any sense, and Wade has to seriously stop himself from recording you for the morning. He just might anyways.

Ending, as imagined: He struggles a little to drag you to bed. He's using one hand to grab a water bottle from the fridge and under the other arm you're struggling, not because you're uncomfortable but because you're distracted idk. He gets you there, tucks you in, takes a stupid flash photo/video of you with a snapchat filter, makes sure you have water and a protein bar to feel good and healthy or something of the sort. Making sure ur ok. Uhhhggg comfort of some sort. We all know why we're here. One day writing will bring me joy again chat. Depression will not keep a hold of me. The magic will return. Don't allow AI to take your gaze away from the art you find in your own hands.

Barley: (nodding along, his eyes locked directly on them)

I see my last post got some positive traction.
