Anyways, I personally believe that no one ever gets the full story of what happened between Billy and Steve at the Byers house.

At least, no one at the school does.

Neither Billy nor Steve talk about it. There’s no bragging. No complaining. No rematch. Neither even say that they fought each other (though it’s obvious. They both have bruises).

Steve just doesn’t care. Billy nearly beating him to death wasn’t the worst thing to happen that night so who gives a shit, right? And it’s hard for Billy to brag about winning when he was taken out by a pre-teen girl.

So in the end, no one say anything and the gossip fades like bruises.

Brainstorm’s prison experience was a lot of isolation and a lot of time to think— He doesn’t regret the triple changer experiment, he wanted to push science to its limits and his ego saw no other better candidate than himself. He’s stubborn and he’s convinced himself that no one else gets it the way he does (he is Very stupid)

SO i just got finished watching AVA in its entirety. general consensus is "holy shit, what am i about to get into". but either way, during the entire thing, i had a "Live Feed" document going, where I wrote down anything that came to my mind about each individual video.

so anyways, here is a brief summary of an autistic creative literature major's time watching AVA:

May I ask for some details about your Tav? What do you mean by hasnt really lived as a tiefling before? Like literally has never seen another tiefling? Seems like being abducted by the mindflayers introduced major life changes to your Tav

I'm sorry this took so long to answer, but I ended up doing a whole bunch of art to answer this!

Ember has a really extensive backstory that's kind of long, but the short version of it is: she was caught in the crossfire of a deal her parents made with a devil. They couldn't have a child of their own because her mother was too severely ill, so they made the deal in the hopes of returning her health and along with it the ability to bear children. Unfortunately devil deals being what they are, they ended up with Ember who the devil stole from her birth parents.

Her mom was a high elf and her dad a half-elf, and her mom's side of the family were quite vocally anti-Tiefling. Because of her mother's health problems, however, they couldn't just sever contact with her parents because they relied on their money to cover the cost of healers, expensive potion ingredients and the like. They couldn't be trusted not to be a threat to Ember though, so the decision was made to disguise her as their biological daughter throughout her childhood.

As a result, Ember didn't even know she was a Tiefling until she was around 4 or 5, when she began to present as a sorcerer and accidentally undid the disguise spell (she ends up a bard thanks to her mom, but her control of magic comes from sorcery).

Before the events of the game, the most time she ever spent as a Tiefling was when she was 13- when her mom died and her dad disappeared, the disguise spell having relied on her mum's magic. She went through hell for a while after that and as soon as she could learn how to cast the spell herself, she jumped at the chance and went back to living as her old half-elf self. So when she gets taken by the Nautiloid, it's her being forced to actually live as her real self and as a Tiefling for the first time. As a result she doesn't have great control over her tail, because she's just straight up not used to having one.

She also spends a lot of Act 1 jumpscaring herself whenever she walks by a mirror lmao.

I do plan to do some comics that are set earlier in the game at some point, and those ones will explore more of her backstory. What I've done so far has just happened to be set in Act 3, after she's already sorted a lot of her shit out. I just have no idea when that'll actually be!

what inspired like the schtick behind your voice designs? like the way they're all masked corvid-ish feathered creatures that are vaguely humanoid, is there a reason behind that?

I feel like I don't have a good answer for that, but I've let this ask collect dust for too long!! Here we go:

The mask thing I've explained the reason for before, before the Pristine Cut it wasn't super clear whether TLQ had a beak or not. The masks were my way of getting at a middle ground, did they have beaks? Did they not? Who knows!

For the bird furry-like form the designs ended up taking:

Just kinda stole that from the TLQ too! I tried to keep to a rule that they all would have the plumicorns TLQ has, and then a humanoid shape. (Though the plumicorns detail really went to the wayside with some of them lol). Then I just gave them different but still natural(ish) feather colors for fun, and some accessories. As a side note, originally my designs weren't going to have like, outfits, because TLQ clearly doesn't need it - but then one by one more and more voices started wearing clothes in their designs that now the majority of them have full on outfits. Thanks for the compliment, hope this was a satisfactory answer!!

So I’ve seen several catboy Danny prompts, but hear me out: All of Amity becoming so ecto-contaminated that everyone becomes something akin to a mythological creature. And Danny? He becomes a Nekomata- a two-tailed cat that was said to be able to shapeshift into humans for mischief, including straight up haunting people and stealing corpses. Vlad ends up a kitsune- which is already associated with taking on human forms to seduce people and with things such as foxfire and possession. Tucker ends up a sphinx sort of creature- “It’s not fair you guys can just float around while I have to figure out how to use these stupid wings when I could be coding!”- and Sam ends up a dryad of some sort, they aren’t entirely sure what but that’s what they joke it is so…

The people sent to investigate this city are more than slightly freaking out.

noo ive just been neglecting my askbox (and tumblr in general) these past couple of weeks due to my schedule exhausting me and a vicious cold draining my energy ;-;

i love the concept of him being able to customize his dick because—as an android who was programmed to have very little control over his appearance and his decision-making abilities (or lack thereof)—i think being able to choose what he gets to give and receive pleasure with would be incredibly liberating for him. not to mention how ecstatic he would be to finally experience what penetrative sex is like.

i think im gonna write a bit more about this sometime soon, but i alternatively think he’s totally cool with receiving pleasure just from his ken doll mound lol. he does have sensors down there to pick up on pressure and heat, but they were mostly added so that he could feel if any part of himself in that area ever became outwardly damaged. once he began to deviate from his systems a little, he realized very quickly that he could also feel good from creating friction between that place and something else. he had a very small phase in which he experimented with/explored his own body by humping things around the house when you were away. the arm of the cushioned chair in the living room, the comforter on your bed, the carpeted rug in the bathroom, etc. it was kind of a pathetic disaster, and he didn’t ever “come” from it, but he did almost finish one time when he was in the middle of rutting against his palm and the sound of your voice popped into his head. eventually though, he figured out how to get off by himself like that and would do it a couple of times every week.

he does prefer the detachable cocks though.

Fun fact Cody is from New York (Bronx area), he tries to mask his accent when he doesn’t feel comfortable around someone but the more you get to know him the more he slips into it. He also slips up when he gets excited, like when he’s angry or when talking about special effects.

TLDR; I can picture Sun and Cody talking about performances (specifically special effects/costumes) and people watching on in confusion as their accents kick into full gear. Moon isn’t confused because he’s used to it from Sun.

a lot of the time it sort of seems like most of the fandom likes peter with other superheroes so his supporting cast is mostly window dressing.

Is this an mcu fandom thing? I’ve read a lot of shipping fics with Spidey and with him x other heroes you can tell a bit when the author is more familiar with one hero over the other, like sometimes with spideytorch fics it’ll get into a lot of Johnny’s exes and villains and stuff like Lyja and Crystal and Namor and MJ will only be touched on without mentioning Gwen or Felicia, but then other times the author will focus on all the people Peter knows and MJ will usually even be an actual character in the fic while Doom and generic aliens and vaguely just “supermodel exes” get mentioned for Johnny

I should also state I usually read fics where the relationship is developing rather than established and it’s the main point of the fic, and when the romance is the focal point, it makes sense to me that other characters and stuff will fall to the wayside (now, if it was just generically a Peter fic, and all his peeps were barely even mentioned, that’d piss me off, you can’t downplay the significance of Harry and MJ and all them in his life), but I wouldn’t really think of them as window dressing, they’re just secondary characters in a romance fic

But we could be reading v different types of fics where they aren’t treating his supporting cast v well at all, I do filter out a lot

And I suspect it’s mcu stuff, only because I know that sadly enough there’s fics in that fandom that don’t just write out aunt may but will even villainize her (and not even in a fun “what if this character was a villain” way), so I could see that section writing out MJ and Ned
