CARNIVAL
| pairing : daniela avanzini x fem!reader
| summary : errr u and ur gf go to a fair and u get jealous or wtv
| warnings : g!p daniela, jealousy, p in v, no protection, impregnating talk, ass slapping, cursing, car sex, etc.
| unnecessary bs : 3k words 🙏 glaze me again
walking through the fair, hand in hand with your girlfriend, daniela. the evening air was warm, and the lights of the rides blinked in vibrant colors around you, casting soft glows on the crowd. you had just gotten off the rollercoaster, and now you were both reliving the adrenaline rush. “honestly, that wasn’t even scary, like, at all” you said, replaying the whole ride in your head.
daniela raised an eyebrow, her smile playful but teasing. “don’t even lie!” she grinned, giving you a nudge. “you were screaming so loud, i could hear you over the whole thing.”
you rolled your eyes but couldn’t suppress a smile. “i was just vocalizing my excitement.” you said, trying to sound confident.
“vocalizing?” she laughed. “babe, you were straight up shrieking—and you were squeezing my arm so tight, i thought my circulation was gonna cut off!”
you both burst into laughter, walking a little slower now as you shared the moment. “i was just making sure you didn’t fall off the ride.” you joked. daniela laughed lightly, looking down at you. “yeah, right,” she said, still grinning. “i think i’m the one who was keeping you from flying off the coaster with that tight ass grip.”
you sucked your teeth playfully, the conversation dying down. leaving the two of you to walk in a comfortable silence.
as you got closer to the food stands, the scents of sizzling, sweet, and savory foods hit you all at once. your stomach gave an eager rumble, instantly reacting to the aromas drifting through the air.
“babe, it smells so good over here,” you said, your voice almost wistful as your mouth began to water. daniela let out a soft hum of agreement, her eyes scanning the stalls. “i know, right?” she replied, already looking hungry.
“oh my god! we have to get one,” you pointed at the stall that had “funnel cakes” in big, bold red letters. “it’s basically a requirement at the fair.”
daniela laughed, her eyes practically glowing. “oh, 100%. but like, extra powdered sugar,” she grinned, already picturing the perfect funnel cake in her head. “i want it to look like a snowstorm.”
“you’re gonna be in a sugar coma by the time we’re done.” you said to her, chuckling.
“worth it.” she said, glancing at the stand. “but damn baby, this line’s mad long.”
you shrugged, already stepping toward the back of the line. “it’s okay, i’ll wait. you can go mess with the claw machines or something.”
she gave you a look, raising an eyebrow. “you sure?” she asked, taking out a 50 dollar bill from her back pocket after you gave her a nod of approval. “i’ll win you a stuffed animal.”
“only if it’s a giant bear.” you teased, taking the money from her hand.
“say less.” she grinned, pecking your lips before walking off toward the claw machines that weren’t too far away.
-
finally, after what felt like 13 years, you were 3rd in line to get your funnel cake. not like you were counting, but it definitely took longer than expected. looking around, you didn’t see daniela anywhere, so you figured she was still messing with the machines.
when you got your funnel cake; extra powdered sugar, just like she asked. you made your way over to where the claw machines were. and then you saw it.
daniela, laughing—no, giggling way too hard with some girl who was clearly flirting with her. the girl’s hand was casually resting on daniela’s shoulder, and they were definitely way too into whatever was going on. the way daniela’s head tipped back, eyes sparkling… you felt this weird, hot twist in you stomach.
feeling that familiar annoyance rise up, even though you knew you had no reason to be mad. she was allowed to laugh, right? but the way she was acting with this girl made you feel like you were just… there. holding the funnel cakes like some kinda afterthought.
you tried to brush it off, but it was hard. that stupid, jealous feeling in the pit of your stomach wouldn’t go away. you gripped the plate a little tighter, walking over to her with more force than you intended.
as you got closer, you noticed the girl holding a plushie, a giant, stuffed unicorn. and then it clicked. daniela was the one who’d won it for her.
“you having fun?” you asked, trying to keep your voice casual, but it came out a little sharper than you meant.
daniela turned around, her face lighting up when she saw you. “yn! look! i won her the unicorn!” she said, holding it up, proud as hell.
the girl beside her giggled. “seriously, she’s amazing at this. i’ve never seen anyone get it on the first try.”
you forced a smile, your eyes narrowing a little. “yeah, looks like she’s really good at it.”
daniela didn’t seem to notice your tone, beaming as she looked from the girl to you. “i know, right? i’ve got mad skills. gotta teach you my ways.”
you nodded, still holding the funnel cake in one hand, but now you were just waiting to get out of there. Was she always this touchy with random girls? you couldn’t stop the thought from running through your head.
“here dani, thought you’d want this before it gets cold.” you said a little harsher than you wanted to.
daniela took the plate, but the smile she gave you felt a little off. as if she was trying to gauge if you were mad or not. and honestly? you were.
“is something wrong..?” she finally let out after examining your tone and facial expressions.
you didn’t answer right away. instead, you turned, starting to walk toward the car, your steps maybe a little too quick, a little too angry.
daniela hesitated for a second, glancing back at the girl, “hey, i’ll follow you back later, okay?” she stated, then followed after you.
“bro, slow down!” you heard your girlfriend yell from behind you.
you didn’t slow down, your mind racing, and your jaw clenching at her words. you didn’t want to explain it, didn’t want to seem petty. so instead, you kept walking, arms crossed tightly in front of you.
“come on, don’t walk off like that. what’s going on?” she questioned, slightly jogging so she could be closer to you.
“nothing’s wrong, daniela. just tired,” you muttered, trying to sound casual, but your voice was tight.
“uh-huh.” her voice was softer now, but you could hear the concern. you didn’t know if you wanted her to chase you down or leave you alone. either way, you were pissed.
when you reached the car, you slammed the door a little harder than you meant to.
the latter slid into the driver’s seat, slamming the door shut behind her (way softer than you did). she tossed the funnel cake onto the dashboard, its powdered sugar already threatening to spill, and then just stared at you. the silence between you two was thick, and suffocating. waiting for something to break it.
you shifted in your seat, unable to handle the tension. “the fuck are you doing? drive.” you muttered, your gaze fixed on the windshield.
daniela didn’t move, her eyes still locked on you, unfazed. “i’m not driving until you tell me what’s up with you.” she said, her voice low but firm.
you let out a sharp breath, refusing to meet her gaze. “i’m fine.” you muttered, staring out the window.
she raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. “you’re fine?” she repeated, her tone flat. “okay, cool. then tell me why the fuck you’re acting like I just killed your dog.”
you stayed quiet, jaw clenched, your eyes still glued to the window. you didn't know what to say, didn't know how to explain the frustration building up inside you.
daniela's patience wore thin, and her voice rose slightly. "oh, so now you're just gonna ignore me?" she snapped. "fine. don't say shit, but if you're gonna act like this, you can get out and walk."
you didn't respond, but you could feel the anger starting to boil. you were pissed, but you didn't want to yell. silence felt safer.
"no?" she barked. "then get in the fucking backseat."
daniela heard the scoff as you made your way toward the back, but what she didn’t see was the smirk tugging at the corner of your mouth. you could already tell where this was headed, and while it wasn’t exactly the healthiest choice right now, it was clear that you both needed to let off some steam.
soon, the blonde joined you in the backseat, her hand tenderly gripping your waist, pulling you onto her lap. her slender fingers found their way to your neck, harshly guiding your lips to meet hers in a searing kiss. the intensity of her anger fueling a primal need. her body pressed against yours, kissing you in a rough manner.
the car fills with the sound of your bodies shifting, fabric rustling, and harsh breaths as you both grapple for control. daniela’s grip on your waist tightens, her fingertips digging into your skin, while your hands tangle in her hair, pulling roughly.
she broke the kiss to speak, "you always do this, you know. you always shut down and refuse to talk.” she punctuated each word by grinding you a little harder against her thigh, the denim of her jeans rubbing against the thin fabric of your safety shorts.
you whimpered at the friction, tangling your hands in her curly hair, while you bucked your hips on her leg, needing more.
as daniela’s words fade into the background, you can't help but focus on the sensation of her leg between yours, the friction sparking a fire within you. you grind against her harder, the heat building between your legs, and you let out a soft moan, your head falling back against the seat.
daniela’s hand leaves your waist, trailing down your thigh, her fingers brushing against your inner leg, teasingly close to where you need her most.
you can feel the heat of her hand, her fingers inching closer to your center, your body aching for more. you lift your hips slightly, silently begging for her to touch you there, to quench the growing flame inside you. your breath hitches as her fingertips finally graze your mound through your shorts, the touch sending shivers down your spine.
daniela’s fingers find the edge of your shorts, her touch dancing along the hem. she leans in, her breath hot on your neck as she whispers, "Is this what you want?" her fingers tease, dipping slightly beneath the fabric, but not enough to satisfy the growing ache. you let out a soft, frustrated sound, arching your hips upwards, trying to encourage her to go further.
your body aches for more, your hips grinding against her leg, seeking friction and release. her fingers continue to tease the edge of your shorts, brushing against the sensitive skin of your inner thigh, yet never quite giving you the satisfaction you crave.
"you want it, don't you?" her fingers slip further under your shorts, tracing the edge of your panties. you can feel the heat of her hand, fingers inching closer to where you need her most. "tell me," she breathes, her lips brushing against your earlobe, sending a shiver down your spine. "tell me you want it."
your hips move with the rhythm of her hand, pushing against it, seeking more. "yes," you whisper, your voice hoarse with desire, "I want it."
“too bad.” she says, her warm breath sending shivers down your spine as she slowly pulled her hand away, leaving you empty and aching.
your whimper of protest was audible as she withdrew her touch, the loss of her hand making you press harder into her thigh for friction. “now you wanna make noise huh?” Her voice was a husky purr, full of tease.
she watched you with a heated gaze, her eyes flicking down to where you were still pressed against her thigh, seeking relief. she spread her legs slightly, allowing you more room to grind against her. “you're so desperate for it, aren't you?”
you could feel the frustration building up inside you, your moves becoming more urgent against her thigh. “stop being an asshole and fuck me already!' you said desperately, your nails digging into her shoulders.
the latina rolled her eyes in exasperation at your demands, but she couldn't help the smile that tugged at her lips. “you're so demanding” she remarked, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
with a swift movement, daniela lifted you off her lap and maneuvered you into a new position. “hands and knees” she commanded, guiding you into place. the cool leather against your skin was a stark contrast to the heat emanating from her body as she positioned herself behind you.
She hiked up your skirt, pulling your shorts and underwear down, revealing your bare bottom to the cool night air. she ran a hand over the curve of your backside, then, without warning, she delivered a sharp slap to your left cheek.
you yelped at the sudden contact, your body jolting forward. the pain quickly morphed into pleasure as she began to massage the reddened skin. “so sensitive,” she commented, her fingers drifting between your legs to tease your wet folds. “and soaking wet.”
she rubbed the evidence of your arousal against your thigh before aligning herself behind you again. “spread your legs wider” she ordered, her voice low and demanding. you complied, feeling the cool air against your most intimate area.
she pulled down her jeans and moved her fingers to your hips tightly. “you want me to fuck you like this, don't you?' she growled, pressing herself against you. “in the backseat of my car like a common whore.”
you arched your back provocatively, pressing against her boner teasingly. “then fuck me like one,” you challenged breathlessly, casting a sultry glance over your shoulder. “show me how well you can handle the slut in the backseat.”
her breath caught in her throat at your bold words. “such filthy words coming from that pretty mouth..” she retorted, pulling her boxers down. and without warning, she plunged inside you, making you gasp loudly. she bit her lip at the feeling of your cunt around her, starting a steady rhythm, she gripped your hips harder. “you’re not so tough now, are you?”
you moaned loudly, the sound bouncing off the car walls. “shut up and keep fucking me.” you argued back, pushing back against her to meet her thrusts. the force of her movements made the car rock, the sound of skin slapping against skin filling the air.
your moans grew louder and more desperate as she continued to pound into you, one hand moving to grip your hair roughly. “oh- fuck— god, dani!—don't stop!'"
daniela's other hand reached around to rub your clit, her fingers pressing hard against the sensitive nub as she fucked you mercilessly. your body shook with the force of her movements, your legs trembling on the seat.
the taller’s face was contorted with pleasure, her jaw clenched as she tried to muffle her own moans. “damn it…you're so fucking tight.” she groaned, her hips jerking forward erratically.
pleasure clouded dani’s mind, and she delivered a hard smack to your ass, the enjoyable pain making you moan and hang your head low.
“s-shit!” she screamed, grabbing a handful of your hair and yanking your head back. She pounded into you even harder, her other hand smacking your ass repeatedly.
she hissed in your ear, her breath hot and heavy, “you love it don't you? you always take me so well,” she kisses and sucks on your neck, “just obsessed with this dick, right?” trailing her tongue over a spot on your shoulder, teasing it before sinking her teeth in gently. a giggle escapes her lips as your startled gasp fills the air.
she continued, each thrust accompanied by a filthy phrase, “that’s right, take it—take every inch. you're such a good little slut...” her whimpers sounded like music to your ears. “s-so wet—so tight...does it feel good? does my cock feel good in your cunt?”
you arched your back even more, pressing yourself against her as she filled you completely. “y-yes. dani…” you blubbered, your words slurring with pleasure, 'it—it feels so good n’ d-deep!”
daniela gripped your hair tighter, slamming into you with all her force. “shit…that’s right, baby... take that big dick... show me how much you can handle...” your body trembled uncontrollably, your moans turning into screams of pure ecstasy as your hands clawed the leather seats.
the windows of the car fogged up as the vehicle rocked violently with each thrust. daniela's sweat dripped onto your back as she drove into you relentlessly. “listen to those filthy noises you're making…so pretty..”
your moans grew louder, more urgent, as the pleasure built to an unbearable peak. “fuck! dani i-i'm gonna cum!” you screamed, your body convulsing as a powerful orgasm ripped through you.
daniela's thrusts became erratic, her hips jerking forward as she chased her own climax. “holy shit yn, imma put a baby in you, gonna’ fill you up so good...” She groaned, her body shaking as she came hard, her juices flooding your already overflowing hole.
she collapsed on top of you, her breath coming in heavy pants. 'fuck...that was so good.” she murmured, still slowly thrusting through her aftershocks, her hand possessively resting on your stomach.
after a moment, daniela slowly pulled her length out of you, a string of your mixed fluids following. she watched hungrily as your swollen, pink folds slowly closed around the absence of her length.
you flopped back onto the car seat, your legs hanging limply over the edge. your breath came in shallow pants, your chest heaving as you tried to catch your breath. “fuck dani…”
daniela chuckled at your exhausted state, “answer me, yeah? you ready to talk about your problem now that i’ve fucked the brains out of you?”
she waited for a response, her eyebrow raised. but you could only manage a weak, breathless whimper. daniela smirked, satisfied with your silence. 'i'll just wait…" she noted, pulling up her underwear and jeans, not bothering to zip them up again.
daniela settled in beside you, casually draping your exhausted legs over her lap. her fingers absently kneaded your tender ass cheeks, relishing the subtle bruises forming there—the physical map of her passionate assault.
she smirked, enjoying the view of your thoroughly ravaged body sprawled out next to her. "looks like my princess is gonna need a few more minutes before she can form words again."

‘and you can’t talk to me when i’m like this
daring you to leave me just so i can try and scare you
you’re the west village
you still do it for me, babe.’

════════════════
Your relationship with Jake wasn’t perfect, although to the eye of many that wasn’t obvious. You seemed utterly head over heels, and whilst that was the truth you, like any other couple had problems. But to the extent was not normal, most couples talk it out, that’s never been your method. The problem was Jake’s friendliness, before you got together you loved that about him, it was after all how you got together. You loved how he would talk to everyone, you loved how he made people laugh, but now that you sit in a crowded restaurant gritting your teeth watching your boyfriend make the waitress laugh, he told a joke, a joke first told to you, your gaze was fixated on him, the crease by his eyes as he laughed, the nod of his head as she spoke, but worst of all the prolonged eye contact they held and how her eyes glistened as they done so.
Swiftly you finished your wine, you cleared your throat and the waitress turned to you. You nodded your head to the empty glass, right away she excused herself with the glass to get you another.
“She’s lovely,” you grinned, the sarcasm seeping through your words.
“It’s the Peralta charm, she couldn’t help laugh at my joke,” Jake teased, resuming his meal. You near scoffed at the audacity of him, deep down you knew he was being harmless- a mere joke, but you couldn’t help the insecurity inside of you get the better of your mind. You and Jake have been together for two years, the longest you’ve both been with someone, your biggest fear is that Jake will get bored of you, so interactions like this had your mind running wild- reaching to the worst possible scenarios.
For the rest of your meal you were barely listening to Jake enthuse about his week at work, he talked about his perps, his drug busts and the banter within the precinct. Instead you were in your head, imagining the end of your relationship, more specifically Jake leaving you for someone much prettier and funnier. He’s never not been loyal, he’s never given you an reason to feel this way, yet you couldn’t help it. You couldn’t turn off your self sabotaging mind and that was a slow undeniable killer.
“Are you okay?” Jake said, snapping you back to reality, concern written over his face, his eyes gentle and comforting.
“I’m fine.” You replied. “Just tired.” You couldn’t shake the coldness of your words. Jake reached over the table to grab your hand, you sighed and moved your hand away, feeling too indifferent to talk about it. You could see the disappointment building in his eyes.
“Let’s go then.” Jake said as he stood up grabbing his jacket and pushing his chair in, you paid the bill and got into his car.
A deafening silence fell over you both for the first few minutes of the car ride, you didn’t know what to say, you were worried that if you started to talk you would end up fighting. The car stopped at the red light, you found your eyes wondering over to Jake, one hand on the wheel the other tapping on the dashboard as he starred out the window, his eyebrows were knitted together in a frustrated manner and his body was tense. He glanced at you and instantly your eyes hardened.
“What did I do to upset you this much?” Jake asked, his voice firm.
“Nothing.” You mumbled looking down at your lap.
“Then why are you acting like this? I don’t understand the night started great now you’re distant. Do you not like me anymore or something?”
The emotion in his voice had you heart aching, you couldn’t understand why your mind done this to you, from a rational perspective the interaction was harmless- maybe enough for you to sulk over, but not to this extent and you knew that. You nervously picked at you nails as you replied.
“Of course I do Jake- you know I love you. But it’s just..” you sighed, “I don’t know.”
He turned to look at you now, “just what?”
“You’re too friendly! That’s the problem.”
“Too friendly? What does that even mean?!” He laughed, you looked at him and instantly filled with rage.
“Don’t be stupid Jake. Don’t do that, you were flirting with that fucking waitress.”
The light went green and Jake drove again, his eyes were focused on the road as he spoke. “Flirting? Seriously. This again.” He sighed, “I’m not flirting with anyone.”
“Oh,” you scoffed, “it’s so fucking obvious! The fuck me eyes she was sending you, you’re not blind Jake anyone could have sensed it.”
“You’re seeing things. Seriously, tell me why would I do that?”
“That’s what I’m asking you!!”
“Maybe for once it’s not me, it’s you. You are the one causing the problem here not me.”
“As I recall you were the one flirting!” You fumed.
“Flirting or simply talking? Should I just stay away from all woman from now on?”
“You’re infuriating right now. Just fucking apologise.”
“For what?!” Jake raised his voice, “I didn’t do anything. I made me waitress laugh, you’re acting as if I asked for her number.”
“Wouldn’t be surprised if you did.” You muttered.
“Really? You think I’d cheat on you.” Jake said as he parked the car outside his apartment complex.
You got out of the car slamming the door after you and Jake followed behind you. “Well would you?”
He punched in the code to open the complex door, you stood with your arms crossed walking with him. “What kind of question is that? Obviously not.”
You pressed the elevator button and stood beside him, arms crossed again and your body stiff with anger. “That’s not what I picked up on looking at you and that woman.”
“Y/N. I did not flirt with her. Get that idea out of your head.” Jake groaned, clearly becoming increasingly frustrated with you.
“Well maybe I wouldn’t have that idea if you weren’t so fucking friendly!” You practically shouted. Your face flushed red with embarrassment as a couple walked out of the elevator, by the looks of your face you could tell they heard everything. The man gave Jake a sympathetic look which made you roll your eyes, his girlfriend elbowed him in response to that.
Jake walked into the elevator, you followed and pressed the floor number. “I don’t want to have this stupid conversation anymore. I didn’t flirt with her! And I’m not too friendly, there’s no such thing.”
“Oh yes there is. You are a prime example,” you scoffed as the elevator doors closed.
“You want to know what’s exhausting? This. I’m sick of you being so insecure.”
“Then break up with me.”
“What? No. Are you insane?”
“Go on. Do it. I know you want to, do it Jake break up with me.”
“I’d be crazy to break up with you.” Jake moved closer to you.
“I think you want to.” You starred into his eyes, deep down you’d be distraught if he broke up with you. But the thrill of keeping him on his toes outweighed that.
He grabbed your arm pull you closer to him. “Don’t say anything like that again. Ever.”
Your face flushed hearing him being so assertive, when Jake got this way you could swoon. You smirked and looked up at him. “Why? Does it bother you?”
“Everything you’re doing right now is bothering me,” he got even closer to you, your chest was pushed up against his front. “Trying to scare me off?”
“Is it working?” Your voice was barely above a whisper, you could feel Jake’s breath on your face, furthering the heat rising to your face.
“No.” Jake responded. He pushed you against the elevator mirror, your back hitting the rail. His hands firmly gripped your hips, sure enough to leave a bruise, your breath quickened as he lowered his head and smashed his lips to yours.
You got caught up in an intense moment, your hands went to his hair, pulling him closer as your leg rose to wrap around his waist. You were pushed right up against the mirror as you shared a hungry make out, his tongue fought and won dominance as it explored your mouth. One of his hands moved from your waist and hiked up your thigh and skirt. His finger edged to your panties, and started to slowly circle your clit. You gasped at the sudden pleasure, breaking the kiss. Jake kissed your neck however quickly stopped and moved away once the elevator door opened. You tried to fix yourself up and walk normally to his door, you impatiently waited as Jake opened the door, you could’ve swore he was being slow to tempt you. You walked in first, wasting no time you grabbed his tie, a rare thing to see Jake in and pulled him to you.
His hands met your waist, he smirked. “Eager?”
“Shut up.” You replied.
As you kiss Jake backs you into his room, pulling down your top to reveal your bra and down onto his bed. Using his tie again you pull him on top of you, you remove his tie and make a start at unbuttoning his shirt. His lips meet your neck as he marks you, his hand travels down your body resting in between your legs, he moved your underwear aside and shoves two fingers inside of you. You cry out at the abrupt movement but quickly it turns to an override of pleasure, Jake moves from your neck and watches your face as he roughly fucks you with his fingers, curling them to hit that perfect spot, as if that wasn’t enough he circles his thumb on your clit. The pleasure making your legs shake and vision blur, the sounds coming from your mouth were incoherent, your whole body was trembling in pleasure. The pleasure continuing to build you knew you were close, you felt yourself ignite and be overcome with pleasure but just as you were about to finish he pulled his fingers out.
“Jake-” you whined but was quickly stopped by his fingers going into your mouth. You sucked his fingers, you couldn’t help but heat up at the taste of yourself on his finger. Jake removed his fingers and kissed you hungrily, his hand moving to your breast and rolling your nipple in between his finger over your lacy bra. You pull his shirt off and break the kiss, to mark his collarbone.
“Marking territory?” Jake teased as his hand slipped under your and effortlessly undone your bra. As you pulled your head back he removed your top and bra.
“Seems as if I have to.” You scoffed, Jake grabbed your jaw.
“As I’ve said before I’d never cheat on you.”
You rolled your eyes in response, he let go of your jaw and moved to your ear. “We’re not leaving this bed until you realise it.”
His voice was enough to make you squeeze your thighs together but the words spoken had you stifling a moan. Jake kissed down your neck, you arched your back pushing your body up onto him, desperate for pleasure. You grab his hand and bring it in between your thighs, hoping for pleasure from him.
“What do you want?” Jake asks, his eyes bearing into yours.
“You.” You responded, biting your lip. You could see it in his eyes, he was tempted to take you right there but resisted, much to your dismay.
“Be more specific,” he slowly moved his finger to brush against your clit, you hissed at the sensation.
“I want you to make me cum with your fingers. Then,” you moved your hand into his hair, tugging. “I want you to fuck me.”
“So demanding. Not even a please?”
“Are you going to or not?” You raised an eyebrow, Jake smirked and inserted two fingers into you.
You senses once again filled with pleasure from Jake roughly moving his fingers, you moaned his name feeling the pleasure override you. Your legs trembled as using his thumb he rubbed your clit. A continuous thread of moans left your mouth as you came undone, you vision whitened as you released, your body going into a state of utter bliss. Jake removed his fingers and took your skirt off, your hands made quick work of removing his belt and trousers. You watched eagerly as his cock sprung out with the removal of his boxers.
You moved your hand down to slowly stroke him, he softly groaned in response. You then wrapped your legs around his waist and gripped his shoulders as he slid into you, your eyes rolled back in pleasure as you adjusted to him. Right away Jake began to pound into you, one of his hands held your thigh as the other gripped the headboard making him completely tower over you, you watched his face contorted in pleasure. The room filled with the sound of your bodies joining together and your lustful moans, you knew trying to conceal them wouldn’t work, so you let it happen, not that anyone would complain Jake loved the sound of your moans. Jake fucked you like he’s never done before you wouldnt’ve been surprised if your bodies left a permanent dent into the mattress, that was only furthered when he moved your legs to rest over his shoulders allowing him to go deeper. Your mind became numb with pleasure, the only thing you could focus on was the immense pressure between your thighs.
Jake pushed your chin up to look at him, your eyes were pricking with tears as you got closure to release. “Believe me now?”
“Not quite.” You moaned.
This only fuelled Jake more to the point where the bed was slamming against the wall and tears of pleasure were streaming down your face, you felt the pleasure override you.
“So close.” You moaned.
“Cum for me,” Jake said, his voice dripping with pleasure, that itself sent you over edge.
The euphoric sensation washed over you yet again, your vision blurred as your entire body shook, never had you felt this way before. Jake continued, cashing his own release as you slowly came down from that high, however it wasn’t long until you felt it building up again. Jakes movements got strained as he got closer, again you came and white hot pleasure overcame you. Jake came inside you, moaning into your ear. Slowly he pulled out and lay beside you. You both starred at the ceiling, catching your breath. He turned to you and tucked your hair behind your ear, you couldn’t help the smile that creeped onto your face as you turned to face him too.
“Believe me now?” Jake teased, stroking your cheek.
“I always did I was just in my head, totally worth it though,”
“Totally worth it though; title of your sex tape.”
“Jake.” You rolled your eyes, playfully shoving him.

Summary: It takes three games of darts for you to win your bet against Joel. After much grumbling and cursing you out he agrees to play at the open-mic night. Perhaps this might be the right time to act on your feelings.

Note: I've had this idea for months and finally had some time to get it written. I've checked this over so many times but I'm bound to have missed something. - Divider by @saradika-graphics ♡ - link to the song Joel sings. I love this song and just thought it kinda fit.
You didn’t expect the bar to be this packed.
But in hindsight – yeah, you should have. Not only is it open mic night at the bar but it’s also a Friday, meaning traffic had be awful. So yeah, you should’ve been more prepared.
You had promised Joel ages ago that you would be here for this. ‘I always thought about singin’’, he’d told you one night. An idea, a bet and three darts games later you turn to him with a glint in your eye, asking for your win to be see him play at the open mic night. He’d griped about it, cursed you out multiple times under his breath while Tommy had laughed, and then, with some reluctance, agreed. But only if you were there to watch.
Like you’d say not to that. You two of you had been dancing on the will they, won’t they’ iceberg for months. You weren’t even sure if Joel felt that way about you. Even with the lingering touches, the flirtations between the two of you, you didn’t know if it was all just in your own head.
So here you are. If only you could see or find your friends. Being a head shorter than most people in front of you isn’t helping, you can barely see the stage let alone the table where your friends are. The woman behind the bar you can barely hear over the group of raucous men next to you, repeating yourself four times before she hears you, giving the men a sidelong look as she gets you a lemonade.
Just as you grab your glass there’s a tap on your shoulder and you turn, ready to tell the next guy to at least wait a second. But the words die on your tongue and you let out a relieved sigh at Tommy’s familiar face. You squeeze through the gap, the loud group of men guffawing again and you wince as the sound goes right through you.
“There y’are!” he exclaims, his hand grabbing yours to guide you through the crowd. You sidle past more groups of people, the crowd thinning the further away from the bar you get. Lemonade spills over the top of your glass, pooling in the gaps of your fingers as you get led over to a small corner booth.
You greet Maria who gives you a half hug and you raise your glass over to Tess and Frank, the two deep in conversation. You slide into the seat that’s been saved for you between Joel and Tommy, your eyes falling on Bill, who even with his eyes closed looks like he’s ready to leave this place already.
You can feel Joel’s eyes on you and you turn, your eyes raking over him. Well-worn jeans and a green shirt. Classic Joel. His hair sticking up in different directions from where he’s ran his hand through it one too many times and his eyes burn into yours as you meet his gaze.
You can’t help it, your eyes drop to his lips and then back to his face. His hand wrapped around his beer, bringing it to his lips, seemingly having missed your fleeting look.
You okay? He mouths around the bottle and you nod quickly, the knuckle of your thumb coming to your mouth to lick off the remaining lemonade. You turn your head to Tommy, missing the way Joel’s throat bobs as he watches your lips.
“I can’t believe you got him to do this,” Tommy says to you, knocking his knee with yours, a glance in his brother’s direction.
You smile, watching for a moment as he takes a sip of his scotch, ice-clinking gently together.
“Beginner’s luck. I’m terrible at darts but somehow beat him three times,” you shrug, hiding your grin with your hand.
Tommy laughs, his head tilting back as his shoulders shake. It’s infectious and you find yourself smiling, leaning into him for a moment, a quiet laugh escaping you. As you look up, you catch Joel’s expression – a roll of his eyes and a shake of his head. This time you ignore it as Tommy erupts into another round of laughter at an offhand comment from Maria you don’t quite hear.
Instead, you watch Joel even after he’s turned away, arm slung over the back of his chair, body twisting in his seat as one of the employees approaches him, gesturing to the stage. Joel points down to the floor and your eyes follow, your heart fluttering when you see his guitar case.
You chance another look at him, the overhead lighting catching on the silver in his hair, shadowing his face. He’s not looking towards you, engrossed in something with Tess and Bill so you take the opportunity to just look.
You start to think. Think about how close you two have been to a ‘moment’ only for it to be shattered seconds later. How Joel knows you inside out, back to front, better than you know yourself, like a missing limb.
You’ve never confessed out loud to anyone, not even Tommy. God, even just thinking about his teasing is enough to put you off. He would never let you live it down. It’s enough that he has this weird look on his face whenever you and Joel get a little too close like he knows he’s interrupted something.
You take a sip of your lemonade, blinking away from Joel only to catch Frank’s eye. You might not have told Tommy but Frank doesn’t miss a thing. He definitely knows, even if he’s never explicitly told you, you just know that he knows. He looks between you and Joel and raises an eyebrow at you as if asking ‘will you finally tell him?’
You shake your head the tiniest amount and glance at Joel again, finding him already watching you. His eyes flash with something. Nerves, probably, you think. It’s almost showtime.
The lights dim, dousing the room in an intimate shadowy light again and Frank stands moving around the table, a warm hand on your shoulder, a murmur of ‘what drink?’ but you lift your still-full glass and he nods, squeezing your shoulder before leaning down in your peripheral to ask Maria the same question.
Joel also gets to feet with a loud, exaggerated sigh in your direction and you don’t even hide the smile that creeps onto your face. He picks up his guitar case and spares you one last glance. “Guess that’s m’cue,” he mutters.
Tommy raises his glass, toasting his retreating back you huff with a laugh, raising yours as the rest of the table follows suit. You clink your glass with Tommy’s and take a long drink, doing anything but looking at Joel preparing himself.
The same guy from earlier steps onto the little makeshift stage, tapping the microphone already to get everyone’s attention and introduces Joel. You don’t hide the soft smile on your face as Joel dithers in the background, guitar strap over his shoulder as he leans in to hear whatever he’s strumming.
The guy gestures to the seat for Joel, adjusting the microphone for him. Joel looks over at your table, meeting your eyes for the briefest of seconds and then he’s clasping the fretboard, closing his eyes.
“Would you calm ya leg? Tommy whispers in your ear, hand on knee where you’ve been subconsciously jiggling your leg in anticipation.
“No,” you reply, batting his hand away and clutching your glass tight in your hands, the condensation cooling your clammy palms.
Joel gives a quick hello, tells everyone else why he’s up there, nods over to your table and then his fingers find their chord and he starts with a slow gentle melody.
“I got a piece of land out in the countryside
Lay back and smell the sun, warm up the Georgia pine
Been so good to me, takin' it easy…”
From the first lyrics, you shake your head in disbelief. Fucker. Of course he plays this one. Whenever Joel plays for you, you always request it but this time it’s slower, like every word is being carved just for you. This time, his voice goes right through you, a juxtaposition of mellow and rough around the edges.
His eyes find you as he sings the chorus and your breathing hitches. You find that you can’t look away from him – illuminated by the orangey light they have on the stage like a halo.
“I got some good friends that live down the street
Got a good lookin’ woman with her arms ‘round me
Live in a small town where it feels like home
I got everything I need, and nothin’ that I don’t….”
Fuck.
His voice has always made you weak, but now, amplified by the mic and the intensity of his stare, you are just about putty. Strands of his wavy hair fall into his face when he finally looks away from you down at the guitar and you shift in your seat.
You really need to do something about this crush of yours.
He sings the last part of the chorus for the final time and your eyes drop to his hands – those fucking hands on his guitar, fingering the fretboard and you look up. You can’t look away until the lights go down around him.
Everyone around you erupts into applause and you blink away, coming back to your surroundings, joining in and clearing your throat, lost in the noise of appreciation for Joel.
“Felt like I was intrudin’ on somethin’ towards the end there,” Tommy murmurs in your ear and nudges your knee with his again. You tense your shoulders, heart lurching in your chest, a twist in your stomach.
“Not that I know what you’re talking about but it wouldn’t be the first time, would it?”
He scoffs quietly and shakes his head, “C’mon, the way you were lookin’ at each other,” he mutters, catching your questioning expression and smirks, “Christ, you didn’t even know I caught you lookin’.”
A reply is on your tongue but luckily for Tommy, Maria pulls him along with her towards the bar and you watch them leave, stewing on your thoughts because he was right. You had been completely unaware of anything going on around you while Joel had sung.
You glance around your table. Bill’s eyes are closed, leaning back against the seat, head lolling onto Frank’s shoulder while his other half is in a heated debate with Tess. You could get involved but you take the moment to try and gather your racing thoughts.
Until –
“Jesus, I ain’t ever doin’ that again,” Joel sighs as he slides into the chair beside you, guitar propped against the table next to him. Even with your stomach in knots and a hummingbird in your chest, Joel’s presence is something you need to calm you.
“Best you don’t lose a bet to me again,” you tease, plastering a smile on your face and he groans, pulling his chair in. You reach out to his arm, your smile becoming genuine, “You were good, Joel. Really good.”
“Yeah, well. You’re welcome,” he murmurs, leaning in close to you. His hand reaches out for your glass, fingers smearing the condensation. You meet his eyes as he brings the glass to his lips, taking a long sip of your lemonade, his eyes never leaving yours.
You shiver, a wave of desire coursing through you. And for the second time tonight, you’re transfixed by his eyes. But this is just another dance you two do around each other. He then tilts his head back, downing the rest of your drink, his throat bobbing obscenely and you stand, suddenly too hot.
“I need another drink,” you say quickly, swallowing hard and brushing past Joel as quickly as you can. The crowd has thinned out a little by now but the bar is still crowded with the regulars and you squeeze into a gap, nodding to a couple of the older guys you recognise.
The barman holds his fingers up, silently asking you to give him a minute and you nod, grateful for the reprieve. You let out a much-needed sigh, closing your eyes for a moment and composing yourself – Or at least trying to. The barman comes up and you lean on the sticky counter, asking for another lemonade with extra ice. You fumble your phone out of your pocket, getting ready to pay when you freeze in place at the sound of a very familiar voice.
“Have you actually told her yet?” Frank’s soft voice says to your left, the other side of the older guys and you swallow hard. “Or are you still beating around the bush about it?”
“It’s hard, Frank,” you hear the sigh in Joel’s voice. “Her and Tommy are fuckin’ inseparable, you know how they are.”
You strain to try and hear the rest of it – your heart fluttering in your chest, a knot forming in your stomach.
“Thick as thieves, yeah. But you could argue you and her are close, just in a different way. You know her, Joel. But you’ve gotta tell her soon. You know what Tommy’s like, loves to play matchmaker.”
You’ve heard enough and quickly pay, thanking the barman before scurrying back to your table. You squeeze between Bill and Tess, the former grunting at you before closing his eyes again.
It takes you a moment in your seat before you’re internally freaking out because Joel seemingly has a thing for you too – what the fuck?
You pull into Joel’s driveway, Tommy’s glaring headlights flashing at you twice before he turns off down the road. You shut the radio off and cut the engine, turning in your seat to look at Joel.
“Want to come in for some cards? Maybe a coffee? Night’s still young after all.”
It manages to pull a laugh from you and you duck your head with a fond smile. It’s an easy question, even if the overheard conversation between him and Frank has been on your mind since you heard them.
“Sure.”
Even in the shadowy light of your car, you can still make out that grin of his and he nods once, getting out of the car without another word. You mirror him and smile to yourself before giving yourself a little shake and following him inside.
Joel’s home always feels warm.
Helped by the yellow glow of the lamps and the olive green walls reflecting on the warm wood flooring. You kick off your shoes, following Joel through to the kitchen where he’s already got the coffee going. You lean against the counter, watching the muscles in his shoulders ripple under his shirt as he leans up for some mugs.
“What?” he asks, catching your look with a grin.
You shake your head, “Nothing, just thinking about my next winning bet.”
Joel’s chuckle goes right through you, his expression soft as he looks over at you, “Nuh-uh, darlin’. You ain’t doin’ that to me again.”
He continues to look at you for a moment and squints at you, “And why you standing so far away from me, c’mere.”
You feel the blush rise on your cheeks and you scoot closer to him. Close enough that you can smell his aftershave. Close enough that you could easily lean your head on his shoulder like he could put an arm around your waist, kiss the side of your head –
“Better?” You ask dryly, pulling yourself out of your own wishful thoughts.
“Much.”
The hummingbird rears its head in full force once again.
“And that’s that,” Joel murmurs, slapping his hand of cards on the table. You kiss your teeth and sigh, showing him your cards left – two threes, a four and a seven. He wiggles his eyebrows at you, “Which leaves me to believe that you owe me a bet.”
You take a sip of your now lukewarm coffee, suddenly feeling a wave of trepidation and nerves come over you. “Oh really? And what do you want to win?”
Joel runs his tongue over his top lip, leaning in on his elbows with the ghost of a smirk. “Y’know, I think I want a kiss.”
You baulk, gripping your coffee mug tight between your clammy palms. Surely you had misheard, right? Joel didn’t say kiss. You clear your throat, opening and closing your mouth before you answer. “You… what? You want a kiss from me?”
“No, a kiss from fuckin’ Santa.”
You resist the urge to roll your eyes and instead mirror his movements, leaning on the table, keeping your voice steady. As much as you’re in shock, you can’t not tease him a little bit.
“And what if I don’t want to?”
It’s Joel’s turn to clear his throat, meeting your eyes, “Then we pretend this didn’t happen and I ask you instead to buy dinner next time we’re out.”
You laugh, a breathy sound coming out of your mouth and blink slowly, “Right, right. Which means I’ll also have to pay for Tommy too.”
Joel groans, leaning back in his hair, and pinching the bridge of his nose. “Yeah, you’re so invested in fuckin’ Tommy that you can’t see that there’s plenty of other people that wanna spend time with ya.”
You frown, also leaning back in your chair. “Hey, I spend plenty with you,” you say with a small shrug of your shoulders.
Joel sighs again and rolls his eyes, “You know that ain’t what I meant.”
You grin, folding your arms across your chest as you lean back further on the chair, pushing it up onto two legs. “Yeah? I think I know what you meant. I heard Frank at the bat.”
Joel narrows his eyes and you applaud yourself for the bravery, unsure of where it’s coming from so quickly. You can see the wheels turn in his mind.
“Frank? What the fuck has Frank got–” his eyes widen as it clicks. “Oh. You heard that, huh?”
You wet your lips and nod slowly, putting on your best Frank voice, “Have you actually told her yet?” Tommy loves to play matchmaker.”
Joel just stares at you, one eyebrow slightly raised and you carry on back in your normal voice, fit to burst:
“Well, Tommy has tried to set me up on dates and guess what? Every time I told him no. Call it stupid but all I wanted to do is go on a proper date. With you.”
You admit the last part quietly and the confession hangs heavy and thick in the air.
Joel is quiet for a moment, his expression the same as it was. But then he exhales slowly. Panic fills you, wondering if you’ve overstepped, the knot in your stomach pulling tighter –
“Say it again,” he says quietly, he breathes, fingers on the back of your hand. “That last part.”
Your chair falls forward onto all four legs, the sound too loud in the silent kitchen and you take a breath, “All I’ve wanted is to go on a proper date with you.”
Joel’s on you in a flash, lips meeting yours, one hand cradling your cheek. But one kiss isn’t enough for either of you, as soon as he parts from you to breathe, he steals another and another and another from you.
“Joel,” you murmur and he grunts, moving your lips to trail a hot line of fire down over your jaw and down your neck.
“Yeah, baby? Do you want this?”
You nod against his shoulder, breathily heavily against his neck, your fingers finding purchase in his belt loops. “You know I do.”
“Need t’hear you say it proper,” he croaks, pulling back to look at your face, drawing a quiet whine from you.
“I want you, Joel.”
“Let’s go upstairs, baby. I ain’t having my first time with you on the fucking dining table.”
Joel stands, his knees clicking as he does and you fight back the jab on your tongue but of course, he notices it anyway and kisses you to silence it.
“Up,” he breathes against your lips and you stand, following him up to his room.
His room is the same as it always is, cluttered and just that little bit messy. He keeps the door open and follows you back towards the bed, your hand reaching out for him and then he’s kneeling over you, lips finding yours again.
“Fuckin’ months I’ve been wanting this,” he rasps, “Daren’t do a fuckin’ thing about it.”
“Why? You should’ve.”
He huffs a laugh and noses at your cheek, “Yeah. I know that now. But because of my fuckin’ brother. Wasn’t sure how you felt but knew that he would find the whole thing hilarious. Couldn’t humiliate myself in front o’him again.”
You rear back, carding your fingers in his messy hair, twisting it between your fingers. “Funny thing is, I couldn’t talk to Tommy about anything either. I think he knew I was crushin’ on you but I could never outright tell him. Frank knew though. But it looks like we were just oblivious to each other.”
“Yeah, you’re telling me.”
You smile softly at him, your hands moving from his hair down his back, feeling the muscle there, to fiddle with the hem of his shirt. He reads you like a book and pulls it off, leaning over you to click the bedside lamp and you rake your eyes over him.
Even in the lamplight, he’s so fucking hot.
He cradles your cheek in his large hand and leans closer, pressing his soft lips to yours. You respond instantly and his hand moves lower, thick fingers flexing on your neck and you gasp, lifting your hips at the touch. He’s not even choking you properly and you’re reactive to every single touch.
“Fuck,” he swears gruffly, “You like that, don’t you?”
“Joel,” you whisper, your voice soft and breathy. You lift your hips towards him against his already hard cock trapped in his jeans, desperate for some kind of friction against you. You want to feel him in your hands, want to watch how he reacts to your touch.
“I know, baby, I know. Let me take care of you.”
You swallow thickly and you sit up properly, pulling your shirt off your head and throwing it to the side. You can feel Joel’s eyes raking over you and you don’t hide yourself away. Your hands cover his as he places his palms on your stomach dragging them up over to cup your breasts through your bra, eliciting a shiver from you.
He leans in, his beard scratching over your delicate skin as he peppers more kisses over your shoulder while his hands reach around you, fiddling with the clasp of your bra. It takes him a moment – his lips pausing on your collarbone in concentration.
“Hate these things, how can you even take ‘em off smoothly,” he mutters as you feel it come undone. You hear it hit the floor and then feel his fingers tracing idle patterns over the swell of your breast.
“Try wearing it every day, you’ll get there then,” you reply in a hushed tone, nudging his cheek with your nose, finding his lips and sliding your tongue along his lips.
He moans into the kiss, hands palming properly over your breasts, thumbs circling your erect nipples, stealing another breathy whine from you, your back arching into his hands and you’re gone, completely putty in his hands.
“Fuck,” you grunt as he tugs on a nipple. Joel smirks, wetting his lips and taking the hard bud into his mouth. You squeeze your thighs together and close your eyes, fingers tangling in the back of his hair, twisting the strands at the nape of his neck.“Joel.”
He nips his teeth on your nipple and you gasp, eyes closing as his tongue swirls a hot, wet circle and pulls away, moving to your other nipple while the cool air on your sensitive bud sends a ripple of desire through you.
But Joel doesn’t stop.
Once he’s finished giving the other nipple some attention, he presses you down onto the mattress and continues to kiss open-mouthed over your ribcage, over your stomach down to between your thighs.
His hands grasp the backs of your legs, dragging you down the bed so he can kneel on the floor. One hand moves to undo the button of your jeans, the drag of the zip and you lift your hips as he pulls them off you one leg at a time.
“Will you let me taste you, baby? It’s all I can think about,” he says, hands coming to hold your ankles and you find yourself digging your fingers into the mattress, needing something to ground you.
“Please. I’m yours, Joel.”
“Fuckin’ right you are,” he growls, a burning hot kiss just above the waistband of your panties. He takes his time, kissing up each of your legs and your heart leaps in your chest. God, this man will ruin you.
He keeps your legs apart as he drags his lips up your inner thighs, nosing against your damp panties and your fingers tighten on the sheet, a gasp leaving you at the tiniest amount of friction.
“Christ, you’re soaked. This is what you’ve been keeping from me?”
“Joel,” you splutter, craving the sweet friction against your clit.
“How long you been this wet for?” he asks, slowly peeling your panties from you, tossing them to join your other clothes. “Since the bar?”
“Since… since –fuck – since you were singing.”
Joel smiles against you, the tips of his fingers trailing feather light over your seam, gathering the wetness there.
“Like the song, did ya?”
Another whine leaves you as the heat from his hand is back on your thigh and finally, finally, he gives you something. His nose parts your folds, tongue flattening as he gets his first taste of you and a low moan rumbles through him.
Your head falls back against the pillow, one hand finding his hair, fingers curling into his soft strands. Struggling to keep your eyes open as the pleasure melts through you because holy fuck this man is good at eating you out.
Joel isn’t exactly quiet – he doesn’t hide the sound of his grunts or the sloppy licks and sucks as he eats you out. You tilt your head down, watching him as he presses himself closer, opening your thighs wider, burying his face there.
He picks up on what makes you moan or whimper. He likes to alternate, going back to the broad long licks over your clit that have you writhing beneath him.
“You taste so fuckin’ good,” he mutters, an obscene wet sound as he laps over your clit, “Can’t believe I’ve let it go on this long without tasting ya.”
You chance down another look at him, the glow from the lamp catching on his grey strands that are scrunched in your fist and you give an experimental tug, making him moan louder – the vibrations going through you.
There’s a warm pooling in your stomach as your orgasm fast approaches. Between the obscene sound of Joel devouring you and the way his tongue flicks over you just right you know it won’t be long. You slowly start to rock your hips in time with his tongue, grinding against him.
Your back arches as you try and hold onto that feeling, not wanting this to be over but you know you won’t win, not this time.
“Joel,” you gasp, tightening your hold in his hair as you feel the white-hot pleasure flooding through you.
“That’s it, I’ve got you, atta girl,” he grunts against you, holding your thighs tightly as you wriggle in his grasp.
“Fuck–Joel.”
You writhe under him, your thighs clenching around his head as you come. Your head hits the pillow with soft cries, your hand tugging at the threads of his hair as you ride out the high of your climax. Joel works you through it, groaning into your cunt as he laps at the mess you make.
He rests his head on your thigh and once you’ve caught your breath you lean up on your elbow to get a look at him, shiny lips and chin, dark eyes blown wide with lust and you flop down onto the bed again.
Then you feel his fingers caressing over you, thumb on your clit massaging small circles and you moan breathlessly as he opens you up. One thick finger sliding in your wetness and stretching you open.
“Joel,” you breathe, letting out a sigh. “Jesus Christ.”
“Too much?” he murmurs against your skin, resting his head on your thigh.
“No, no, not enough–”
Your eyes roll back as his finger curls and you jolt, gasping for breath. “Fuck!”
You’ve just come and this man is unrelenting, taking his time to tear you apart piece by piece.
“Loved seeing you come for me,” he murmurs, pressing small kisses to wherever his lips reach. “You’re gorgeous, sweetheart.”
He adds a second, stretching you open and you whimper as he deliciously rubs against your soft walls. You rut against his hand, pushing his fingers deeper and deeper –
“Right there.”
“Yeah, sweetheart? Is that it?”
You nod desperately and he encourages you to keep rutting against him, working up your second orgasm. You feel it, wanting more and more of him. Whatever he’ll give you, you’ll eagerly take.
“Fuckin’ love lookin’ at ya,” he mutters, his eyes droopy and half-lidded. Your lips are slick with saliva and parted, chest heaving and another warm heat coiling in the pit of your stomach again.
“You gonna come again for me?”
His thumb flicks over your clit, smearing the slick of your arousal and paying attention to the bundle of nerves. You nod, another whimper catching in your throat as you feel it crescendo over you.
“Oh fuck!”
Your second orgasm of the night rips through you. This time, Joel kisses you through it and you can taste yourself on his tongue. It’s overwhelming and as his hand slows, pulling out of you carefully.
“Christ,” he murmurs, pulling away from the kiss to look you over. “Think you have one more in you for me?”
You nod, raking a hand through your hair. “I just need a second,” you laugh breathlessly.
Joel hovers over you, hands running up and down your sides as you catch your breath and then you slowly lean up on an elbow, your other hand cupping his cheek.
“C’mere, Texas. You have too many clothes on.”
You kneel next to him. Now it’s your turn to take your time with him, take him apart piece by piece. Joel’s throat bobs and he lays down beside you and you sit over his thigh. You push your hair that’s falling into your face behind your ear and press a kiss to his pulse point on his neck, testing the waters.
He sighs, turning his head to the side and you take the invitation to suckle a sweet pink mark onto the hollow of his throat. Your tongue darts out to soothe the mark as you work down. You reach his collarbones, your fingertips dancing over the smattering of dark hair on his chest.
Joel’s breathing is shaky and you trace over his body until you get to the waistband of his boxers and look up at him.
He’s already watching you, eyes fixed on yours and he nods once. You shift between his thighs to pull them off and he kicks them off impatiently. For a moment you just gaze at him, taking in the size of his hard, leaking cock already beading with pre-cum.
The sound Joel makes when you wrap your hand around him will stick with you on your lonely nights at home. His eyelids flutter, slick lips parting in a wanton sound between a moan and a sigh as you slowly stroke him.
You take your time, feeling the heavy weight of him in your hand as he gather the pre-come, using your thumb to coat the tip. You want him in your mouth, your mouth already watering just at the thought.
Joel’s sounds are enticing, pulling you in. You shift again, tilting your head to take just the tip into your mouth, unable to resist.
You can’t help but moan around him, your lips stretching around the swollen head of his cock. You hand stroking over the rest of his length –
“Baby,” he murmurs, tugging at your hair.. “Don’t. I’ll come before we even start.”
Your eyes flick over his face bathed in the lamplight and he looks wrecked. Kiss-bitten lips parted, his chest heaving and strands of curling hair falling into his face. You pull off him, moving to lay beside him, waiting for his next move.
He reaches over you, going towards the nightstand and you can’t help yourself. You cup his cheek, titling his head towards you, kissing him again.
When you part from your kiss, he has one knee on either side of your thighs to find a condom in the drawer. He flips the box over and his head falls back with a sigh.
“Fuck, fuck,” he mutters, closing the drawer with some force, “fucking expired. The fuck does that tell you?”
You laugh quietly, shaking your head at his apparent distress and reach for his wrist, gently tugging him towards you. “Joel. Come here.”
“I can run to the gas station,” he tries, evidently not listening to you and you tug his wrist again, kissing along the thin skin over his veins and over your pulse point.
“Joel,” you say again, sharper than before and he finally looks over at you, his eyes soft and sorrowful but you lean close, kissing his cheek. “Joel,” you whisper in his ear, “I’m on birth control.”
“I haven’t been with anyone since I last tested. Obviously,” he says, gesturing wildly towards the drawer and you laugh again, louder and kiss him, pulling him close.
“I haven’t been with anyone either. Kinda had my eyes on you for a while.”
“Oh yeah? Wanna tell me more about that, sweetheart?” he asks quietly in your ear, making you shiver. “Because I could tell you some things if we’re sharin’.
“Hmm. I used to think about you,” you tell him as you take hold of his wrist again, guiding him to your leaking slit, moaning quietly as he doesn’t hesitate to find your clit again. “Used to fuck myself, used to wish it was you. I had it bad.”
“Fuck, baby,” he mutters, forehead dropping to your shoulder. “Fuck, you can’t say things like that.”`
“Sure I can if it gets you over here,” you say, a content smile on your face as he starts to kiss up your neck. You just know you’re going to have a mark tomorrow – people will see that Joel Miller has marked you.
He smiles down at you, lifting your leg as he settles between your thigh, one hand wrapped around his cock as he lines himself up with you. He leans in to murmur in your ear.
“If it hurts, you tell me and we slow down, yeah?”
You swallow hard and nod, “I’m sure it won’t come to that.”
Joel hooks two fingers under your chin, looking at you as he pushes into you, just the tip and your eyes widen, mouth parting and one hand clutching his shoulder.
The times you had thought about this, imagined it in your head all those times you needed to make yourself come, it doesn’t hold a candle to how he really feels in the flesh. And as he slowly bottoms out inside you, there’s only one word to describe how you feel is full. You feel so full and –
“Stop that,” he croaks desperately, forehead falling onto yours. “Jesus.”
“What?”
“You—you keep clenchin’, gonna fucking make me come before I even get started.”
Oh.
He presses you down onto the bed, his body covering yours as his hips roll at a tortuously slow pace. Joel’s thick and each thrust is dizzying, soft grunts leaving you as he kisses over the marks on your neck.
“Fuck, baby, you feel better than I imagined,” he says against your neck, tilting his head to capture your lips again.
Together your movements become rougher, the way you wrap your legs around his waist, crossed at the ankles as he thrusts deeper into you. The sounds of the headboard thumping against the wall, the mattress creaking and both your heavy breaths and soft sounds fill the room.
You want more of him, want to feel him come apart so you slowly start to meet his thrusts, raising your hips and he notices, of course he notices.
“Up,” he grunts and you obediently lift your hips again. Joel balances on one hand, grabbing a pillow with the other and moving it under your hips. “How’s that?”
He times a perfectly deep thrust with his question and the answer is ripped from you. You moan, low and raspy at the added sensation and your thighs tighten around his waist.
“Please,” you whine quietly, teeth finding his shoulder as he fucks you hard and slow into the mattress.
He noses at your neck, your walls fluttering around him on every thrust. After two orgasms already, you won’t last much longer – as much as you don’t want this to end.
“You're close, ain’t ya?”
With your nod, he slides a hand down between your bodies and finds your clit with his thumb, massaging fast and hard circles over it, bringing you closer and closer. Satisfied with your reaction, he fucks you faster, his hips slamming against yours, puffs of breath against your neck.
“Joel, Joel,” you gasp. It’s all too much as you writhe below him and he presses gentle kisses to your neck. “I’m gonna come.”
“I gotcha, come on, baby. Let go.”
Your orgasm wracks through you. It tears through you with some force, his name uttered in breathless gasps, your whole body spent. Your tingly with overstimulation, muscles in your legs twitching. Joel’s thrusts are erratic now, his cock pounding into you and then he swiftly pulls out with a grunt, fisting his cock twice, the hot spill of his come splattering your stomach, a moan right into your ear.
“Jesus fucking Christ,” he moans, panting hard in your ear and you wrap your arm around his shoulders, his damp forehead against yours. “You’re a marvel, you know that?”
Even though this man has given you three of your best orgasms, you feel your cheeks heat up at his words and hide your face in his shoulder. He laughs, pressing small, innocent kisses to your temple.
“What? I’m just telling ya the truth.”
His weight moves off you, falling beside you onto the pillow and he grunts, finding his breath again. You turn your head onto the pillow, your eyes are heavy as you hear Joel move around in his room, the sound of a tap running and then the mattress dips beside you again. .
“Stay?” Joel asks you quietly, sitting on the edge of the bed to wipe your thighs and stomach with a warm cloth and you trail your fingers over his arm, nodding gently.
“Like I’d rather be anywhere else,” you murmur, a small smile pulling at your lips. Your three orgasms start to catch with you and you let him clean you up.
He gives you an almost shy smile and you look at him in the lamplight. He moves, tossing the cloth into the laundry basket and digs around in his drawer, pressing a soft shirt into your hands and blinking at him tiredly, a frown forming on your face in confusion.
“To sleep in,” he says, kissing the crease in your forehead.
You nod, pulling it on and it pools around your waist from where you’re sat. It smells like Joel, the cotton soft and well-worn. He slides into bed next to you, clicks off the light and you shuffle back against his chest - something that he easily adapts to by rubbing his hand over your thigh in a gentle caress.
When you wake, the first thing you feel is warmth. Joel’s face tucked into your neck, his beard bristling against you, almost tickling you and his snores are oddly comforting. You managed to move your arm without waking him, curling around his neck to play with the strands of hair as the sunlight streams through the gap in the curtains.
You know the moment Joel wakes up: his hands gently squeeze you, his breathing heavier, and he mumbles against your shoulder, slowly joining the waking world.
“Did I wake you?” you ask him softly. Your fingers curl in his hair at the nape of his neck.
“No,” he mumbles, “C’mere.”
He gently tugs you closer, a warm hand sliding up your side as you settle against him, a small sigh leaving your lips.
His lips find your shoulder, a small kiss planted and another as he trails them up your collarbones, over your throat and finally settles against your lips.
“What a way to wake up. You’re fucking beautiful,” he murmurs, voice sleep thick and rough. His lips find yours again and again. “Let me make you breakfast.”
“I’d rather you stay right here,” you mumble, basking in his embrace. “At least for another five minutes.”
“You drive a hard bargain, honey,” he murmurs against the shell of your ear and your eyes close, a soft smile on your lips.
Warmth blooms in your chest at the term of endearment and you press a gentle kiss to the corner of his lips. Joel tilts his head down and captures yours in a tender, soft kiss. When you part, he’s got a look in his eye that has you tilting your head and you brush your fingertips through his messy, bed-ridden hair.
“I like this,” you comment, smiling as his hair flops back onto his forehead.
“My hair or this?” he asks sleepily, closing his eyes and you can’t help but kiss him again.
“Both.”
Joel’s laugh vibrates against you from where his head is tucked into your shoulder – a low, rough rumble that’s thick with the dregs of sleep. His thumb stroking slow, deliberate circles on your waist and his breathing soon evens out as he falls back asleep.
When you do eventually make it downstairs, Joel goes straight for his coffee machine, leaning up to grab two mugs from the cupboard and you don’t stop yourself from staring at the rippling muscles in his back. You lean against the counter, arms folded across your chest as you just take him in.
He’s gone shirtless, his hair mussed from sleep and from your hands. He doesn’t catch you staring just yet, muttering to himself as the machine beeps at him for water. You could picture this happening more often, and while that thought should terrify you, it’s Joel.
It’s always been Joel.
You wouldn’t dance around anyone like this.
“Here,” he says, eyes glittering with a soft smile and you match his smile, brought out of your thoughts by the smell of fresh coffee.
Joel’s fingers linger on your as he passes you the mug of coffee and you can’t help but notice it’s in his owl mug, the one you’ve seen him use so many times before. You don’t know why but it warms your heart that he’s sharing this with you. You smile at him, the morning breeze floating in through the open window.
Yeah, you could get used to this.

Sitting here watching that clip of Valentino with that demon girl going "you're gorgeous! Do you need a job? 🥰" and started thinking of Val either intentionally or unintentionally making Reader feel massively insecure and ugly and Val using that to manipulate them
I've mentioned "oh what if your job is serving him drinks at his club" but what if he also starts dragging you along when he goes out like some kind of weird PA. Like he's just throwing random bills at you that he clearly isn't counting like it's pocket change in a very "yeah sure whatever just do it bitch" kind of way so you put up with it, it's good income, but it's still... WEIRD. He's going to get his antenna done at the salon, and you're like. Having to STAND THERE beside his chair, you're not even in the lobby waiting room, you've gotta be WITH HIM, and you just get all these windows into his cunty personality where he's spoiled and mean to service workers and is a total fucking diva and it's extremely off-putting I'm sure
He's in a night club hitting on people whose bodies are absolutely insane like I'm talking GYATT city, ass and titties, you've got twunks and you've got hunks, and you're like, in sneakers, off to the side, head down playing games on your phone since you can't even put earbuds in because you unfortunately have to keep an ear open since he'll order YOU to bring drinks, not just for him, but for these complete strangers who don't even work for him too, AND he'll let them be fucking mean to you. You bring some bubble butt twink who's on Val's arm the daiquiri he asked for and he gives you a very clear look up and down before laughing, cuddling up to Val, "yeah I can SEE you need new employees 😋" and they all laugh Including Fucking Valentino
I dunno, I'm on the fence. It really changes with the story. You get the yandere who are obsessive but more abusive-adjacent and then you have the more true-blooded kind that won't accept any slander of you at all. Like can you imagine Valentino's smile just dropping off his face because some chick like, tells you you have cellulite or even something MILD like your mascara is bad or idk what are, male insults.... you have a flat ass??? And Valentino just instantly shoves them away "okay you're done bye, let the door hit you on the way out 🤭"
But today we're talking about angst and feeling fucking miserable so. Over time it just, makes you feel so horrible about yourself to go to these nightclubs. It isn't even about fucking Valentino, it's about how you're sitting here watching everyone EXCEPT YOU receive all this fawning and compliments and attention, even if Val is faking some of it just to lure in more workers. You see a girl who has the perfect skin and you run fingers over an ice pick scar on your cheek, male reader sees a guy who's tall but muscular with nice facial hair and you feel your own baby face and smaller build, there are people thinner than you, curvier than you, stronger than you, smarter than you, and you watch all of them get called gorgeous and beautiful and handsome and sexy and you're just the fucking dweeb who gets teased, mocked, BULLIED
One night Valentino is sitting there talking to another girl, "oh my gosh, honey, I would TOTALLY do body shots off of you. Hey, can we get some shots over here? .... helllooooo, I SAID can we get some shots? ...bitch if you make me repeat myself again--" and he looks over and you're not even there. It's like ice. Suddenly without warning you're not there and he doesn't know what to do because you're ALWAYS there and whenever you're not it's because he LETS YOU leave??? Like??? He's immediately standing up even if it knocks away the people hanging off of him and he's looking around, "you BETTER be in the fucking bathroom--"
And over the crowd of people he sees you on the opposite end of the club, as if you were actively trying to put as much distance between you two as possible, and you're with a guy, some big furry monster boy, and you laugh with a big smile and Valentino GRINDS his teeth as he realizes it's been ages since you laughed around him, let alone at anything HE'S said, and you're actually drinking with this guy where you would always be way too stiff and cautious around Val (although he also really wouldn't let you drink anyways, being more of a waiter when you're 'on the clock')
Obsessed with the idea of Val making Reader carry around combs and brushes to comb his antenna/fur and Val sees you using them on another guy. like I think he'd go absolutely violently fucking crazy honestly because 1. Those are HIS and he is a bougie Gucci material man like those are high quality things being used on some RANDO 2. Those are for HIM, you're using them on someone ELSE 3. The person using them on someone else is YOU, YOU'RE brushing another man, YOU'RE cuddling another man like some kind of UNGRATEFUL WHORE--
When I say you suddenly look up and you're being GRABBED, HAULED UP to your feet by your arm, grip on you so tight it's ready to fucking bruise, and Val just shoots this guy in the head, like cartoonishly powerful gun just splatters the dudes head from what should have been just a single bullet hole I'm sure. You're like vaguely traumatized and trying to tell yourself the man will regenerate and be fine but now Valentino's got a gun in his hand and he's furious and you just start CRYING. He doesn't even CARE about the people he was flirting with anymore, if he has any employees in the club with him he doesn't even call out that it's time to go, he just starts DRAGGING YOU to the limo and will just LEAVE EVERYONE there because he's in such a rage, also, have you guys seen the posts where people point out there are moth squeaking effects when he speaks sometimes. So he's just fucking mad, voice cracking, shouting, squeaking, and i think it'd be funny if he spends like 15 minutes screaming about THE GUY while he has you like all but glued to his lap on the ride home and doesn't say a single thing about what you did. Just manic ranting on his phone as he HAS to call Vox, "oh my god you wouldn't FUCKING BELIEVE what this piece of shit did in front of me, the ugliest fucking guy I've ever seen was--" and you're like trembling wondering when he's going to pivot and realize like, you were also. Intentionally willingly sitting with that guy.
But he doesn't even like. Acknowledge it that way. He just keeps ranting about the guy touching something that doesn't belong to him, he's gotta replace all his fucking combs now, oh my GOD Vox like SERIOUSLY-- and then it's probably Vox that's like, with a disinterested voice, "sooooo.... WHICH whore did this happen to again???" And Valentino without hesitating just straight up says your name, "the nerdy one, you KNOW which one I'm talking about"
And that's when you just start to blubber cause you're tired and you're tipsy and you're mentally worn down, "oh OF COURSE I'm 'the nerdy one'!! You drag me all over the fucking place and I never get any time to myself and I have to WATCH everyone ELSE have fun, and when I finally find someone who calls ME cute, calls ME pretty, you fucking SHOOT HIM!" and you're just, face in your hands crying and you can't see it as Valentino GRINS like some fucking MONSTER because, "Aw, pobrecita, is that what this is about? You're lonely? ❤️w❤️"
And you're just mad and crying and pouting and you're telling him to go fuck himself and actually starting to get a little mouthy and have an attitude with him and he doesn't even care because how upset you're getting is going right to his head. even if you don't want to, you're jealous of him giving other people attention instead of you, and now he's watching you get all upset and sniffly over it and he's so full of himself, this makes him feel so powerful that he's reduced you to this insecure bawling state, and he's rubbing your shoulders, "awwww, don't cry mami, you should've told me you were wanting some 'attention'"
At this point you could be literally slapping his hands away but he's gonna keep pulling you close to him on purpose and NOW, now he's laying on all the fucking compliments, stroking the tops of your thighs. He knows exactly what scent you're using in your hair. Oh, you're wearing the nail polish you bought during one of your first months here; he's always liked this color on you. He's commenting and bringing up things you didn't expect him to notice let alone remember about you and... you're just so weak to it.... you're lonely... and he's here... and maybe it's the smoke or his cologne or what but he smells so good, he's so close, your head feels a little funny--
The rest of your night blurs together after that, but when you wake up, you're not at your place, or the studio, or anywhere you mildly recognize. You're in a bed way too big for someone your size, and you're especially not used to SOMEONE ELSE BEING IN IT WITH YOU. Val just has you caged in all of his arms and is passed out drooling in a post alcohol, post drug, post fuckathon coma, and you can FEEL in your muscles and in your body that you two were up to some wiiiiiild shit together.
IF you may manage to sneak out of V Tower without being stopped or caught, it won't make hin suddenly forget all the things you told him, or him now knowing how it feels to have your hands on his body, or how it looks to have your big sad wet eyes looking up at him and then sparkling with one of his compliments. Usually he WANTS bitches to be gone when he wakes up but, this time? When those eyes open and you're not there? Instantly feeling rejected, mad, irritated, he can't exactly identify why, he's just MAD you ran off without telling him and he's instantly blowing up your line to figure out where you are, and now you have become a recipient of The Voice-mails
"Heeeeeeey, baby, so, it's so funny but I just woke up and I can't find you in the tower? Did you run off to get breakfast somewhere? You KNOW you shouldn't run off without telling me first; I need you to come on back here ❤️"
"-- so answer your phone you fucking SLUT!! You better not be with another fucking guy, or I swear to fucking GOD--"
"--It just stresses me out that there are so many different kinds of people down here, I worry someone might hurt you, amorcito. I can't help protect you if I'm not there, soooooo, why don't you just, tell me where you are--"
"Is this fucking funny for you, you cunt?! You get all worked up about how PATHETIC AND SAD you are and then leave me? Leave ME? ME?! You're LUCKY i even TOUCHED YOU AT ALL--"
"Heeeeeeey, oh my gosh so this is so funny ummmm, Vox just let me know that Velvette borrowed you for something, soooooooooo, please don't listen to any of those other voicemails, ok? You know how CRAZY you make me, right? Don't forget you have a shift tonight, and if you even think about not showing up, I have some hellhounds that know your scent already and they'll drag you back here by your hair, sooooo, see you later love you byeeeeee ❤️"

hello love, how are you? i hope you're okay, i was wondering if you could write to dealer!chris being jealous seeing innocent!bff!reader with another guy. love uuu 💕

they r kinda uneventful im sorry if this is boring. dont get me wrong, these two are usually more exciting :(
the music playing at the party seems to reverberate in your chest, making you feel every thump your heart makes. everyone is shouting, loud and raucous whoops making you ears hurt a little. baggies dotted with specks of white powder litter the floor, along with empty beer bottles and cans, red solo cups, and you even somehow stumbled into finding some girls bra as well.
you house a soda in your hand, nestled into chris' side as he does what he does. makes money, looking at a group of tipsy girls just the right way to swindle some more money from them. he's clicking his tongue against his teeth as he counts the crinkled bills, smoothing them out and lifting his hips up off the couch to stuff the momey into one of his back pockets.
with chris' arm loopes around your shoulder, he used the other to lift the red cap on his head to fix his hair before sliding it back on and scoping out the crowd of people. he spots some of your friends on the dance floor, a sly grin overtaking his face as his hand pats your shoulder a few times. he gestures to your friends with his chin and a subtle point of his finger, urging you to put yourself out there some more and participate in more shit other than sit by his side at these house parties.
your teeth bite at your lip, gnawing the skin off slowly as you hand your drink to chris. you don't really trust anyone else, and it would be good to actually get up and stuff. this is a party anyways, and you never really do much—just like chris had mentioned. and your friends are already waving you over, drunken smiles plastered on their face and bodies swaying to the beat of the music.
any anxiety melts into waves of comfort and a sort of happiness, letting familiar hands grasp yours and spin you around, shifting your body to the music that seems to rattle your bones. chris is watching every second, eyes fixated on you and only you when he isn't too busy with a buyer. he wants to make sure you don't do anything stupid—or, matter of fact he just doesn't want your friends to do anything stupid.
when chris is somewhat certain you won't accidentally sip someone else's drink or something, he turns his attention back to his own little business. girls are shoving bills into his hand, eager to get their grimy, manicured hands on just a few lines of coke or some pills. it's not exactly a good gig, but chris makes bank off it—so of course he isn't complaining. even as some girls stare at him smug, trying to weasel their way into his mind with bedroom eyes. 'i could always pay another way, hm?'
meanwhile, youre stumbling past sweaty bodies drenched in perfume and cologne to stand off to the side, your friends having drifted off somewhere else and out of your peripherals. you peek over heads and squint through the empty space of bodies, trying to even spot chris—and unable to. when you start shuffling back, mumbling a panicked 'sorry!' when some snobby girls shove past you with a stank eye, knocking your back into someone's chest.
chris is caught up with buyers and some of his friends who have sat at his side. he didn't care much about them, namely, only really giving a fuck when nate plops down beside him with a drink in his hand and a girl tucked beside him. chris offers him a pre roll, hips lifting up and his other hand reaching in his back pocket to fish out a lighter—offering that to nate as well. surprisingly, he hands the girl with him the pre roll, chris watching from the side of his eye how she lets it hang between her lips, nate clicking the lighter to life to give it a burn.
the lighter lands in chris' lap with a little toss, nate grinning at him before turning his attention back to the girl. chris doesn't say anything, ignoring the way his chest clenches at the sight of them. he never would've thought nate to be one to limit himself to one girl, but he looked happy. chris is shoving the lighter back into his pocket and handing a baggie of substance to some girl who just paid extra since she was new. he just crooks her a grin, winking and watching as she turns to her friends with a blush adorning her face.
you're sparking up a conversation with this guy youve just met. he's into some of the same things you are, and hes cute. your face is stretched into a bright smile, obviously stoked at the fact you get to ramble and yap about your interests without having a certain someone tell you in your ear constantly that 'you're annoying' or 'shut up'.
what you dont see is chris pushing people out of the way to stalk towards you, an unamused look etched into his features. his jaw tenses when he's within distance to hear you laugh and clutch at the guys shoulder for support, the two of you doubling over in giggles. and the thing is, chris can see the way youre practically bouncing up and down with joy, eyes lit up and lips moving a mile per second with how excited he can see you.
the sight makes his eye subconsciously twitch a little, teeth grinding together as he shoves a couple devouring each others faces off out of his way. he stands a little ways behind you, glowering and obviously in some form upset. but he doesn't exactly realize it's more so jealousy, envy even—you never look like that when talking to him.
the guy youve been acting so buddy buddy with notices his lingering presence first, the smile dropping on his face and in chain turning your own grin into a confused frown. chris is glaring, a scoff sounding under his breath as your 'friend' apologizes quickly and offers you a sweet smile that has chris' heart beating rather quickly. he's backing away, rushing off to his own group of friends.
and you're confused, a hand reaching out ready to grab his arm to stop him—but hes already gone. youre still vibrating head to toe with happiness that someone seems to have multiple of the same interests as you, only for your mood to shift a little when you feel the presence standing behind you. turning your head to meet chris' eyes and his hands fixing the hat on his head, you frown at him.
"what was that for? i was having a conversation," you start to argue, annoyance flooding your veins. but chris is clutching your wrist and tugging you away from the crowd back to his little sofa, and he hates the way you huff and try to shove yourself away from his grasp.
chris doesn't enjoy the feeling in his chest, two fingers reaching up from his free hand to prod at his chest over his hoodie, trying to relieve the suffocating feeling. it's not like your any much happier, genuinely wanting to get to know the guy. you should've asked for his number, nerves flooding your body and making you too anxious to do so—because what if he had said no?
chris' grip gets steadily tighter as he leads you back to your original spot, ignoring the way he would've probably beat that guy to a pulp if he had tried taking you out on a date or something. but he doesn't get it. he doesn't get why he even thinks like that, annoyance coursing through him at his own confusion. in some way, he understood the foreign feeling. he was jealous, simply. he disliked the look of you with anyone else, but why? why does he feel this way, because it's not even as if you two are together.

Maybe Simon Riley and famous reader?? Like the reader is a singer and dedicates a song to him and we get to see a sort of soft and proud side of him?
I had to actually go through my playlist to find the right vibe for this. Such a sweet request 🥹
Song on repeat while I wrote this is "Just the two of us" by Bill Withers and Grover Washington, Jr. Cover version by The Macarons Project. Listen to the gorgeous cover here
Pairing: Simon x famous!reader
pov: Simon's
Title: To my Love.
"Okay, Manchester, it's almost time for me to close out for the night!" Her voice rings out above the cheering of the stadium. People are chanting encore and begging for another song. She laughs into the microphone, "I love you all, but I most certainly promised someone that I would try and wrap up on time."
There's a shout from somewhere closer to the stage for just one more song, please. She relents with a soft laugh, "Fine, but I'm thinking a new song for the city that has my heart."
There's more cheering and backstage, Simon tilts his head to the side because he understands the double meaning. His girl is always saying in interviews and on hot mics that her heart is in Manchester, England. She's not even from here, and when people ask about her own hometown, her smiles turn shy and sweet. She never says what or who she means, choosing to keep their relationship private. It's for her safety and his peace at mind.
Sure, he doesn't do the award shows, the public facing red carpets, and he blends in as one of her body guards; but her inner circle knows who he is and sees the two of them behind closed doors. He's a little shocked at the mention of a new song. He knows every lyric that gets written down in the little song book he got for her.
She looks off stage towards him and bless the smile she gives him. It makes his stomach flip and flop, and he knows that he is smiling like a love struck fool. The corners of his eyes crinkle, and the surgical mask on his face shifts, a clear indication that he is smiling back. This woman makes him feel things he hasn't in years. She kisses his scars, holds his hand with a grin, and every time she says his name, it's like hearing an angel whisper to him. He's not a praying man, does not believe in God or karma, he's lived too bloody a life for those thoughts, so finding someone to love him was never a possibility.
Yet here she is getting ready to debut a new song that she just told him was written with only him in mind. No other hands have touched this song, and it was written for him, and she's singing it as a public declaration of her love for him. The sentiment makes him ache in the best ways, turns him into puddy.
"What is that girl doing?" Her manager hisses, "did we approve of this?" She's fussing with a stage hand demanding to know what track is about to be played. The DJ cues up the music. It's a sweet swell of music. Light on the ears, there's no producer tag, no booming base, or 808s. The flip from high energy to sweet melodies instantly calms the crowd to silence.
Yeah, this wasn't planned. It's in the same vein as their relationship, unplanned and sweet. Simon didn't mean to fall in love with her. It sorta just happened. What was supposed to be a favor for a friend of John's, just the team providing extra security for some starlet, turned into a miracle.
She sings about him, sweetly. A true love song. She sings about loving someone at their best. She sings about loving the ugliest parts of someone. She belts her heart out on the bridge, words about finding true love and knowing that it won't always be easy. Her voice cracks, warbling on lines about broken people and loving them and slowly putting them together again, pretty gold holding the pieces together.
By the time the song is over, the longest and shortest four minutes in his life. And to think, someone wrote about how they loved loving him for four minutes, him of all people, he's got tears in his eyes. His body is moving before he can process it. There are people calling for him to stay backstage. He thinks he hears one of his teammates, and he doesn't know or care. All Simon Riley can see is his girl, his song bird, the mask is off and he's pulling her into a kiss.
There's distant cheering he is sure of that. The audience probably thinks that this is staged. It's not. Her manager will probably try to spin some silly narrative to the press and all of her fans. Whoever is on lights earns their paycheck because every light except the spotlight on them goes out.
And then slowly even that light fades, too, to the sound of thunderous applause.
ngl...I'm crying. Thank you anon.

at this point we should give dick a sionis!reader and call it a day 💀 all the batboys have one now except for him (but I have no idea what his plot would look like compared to the other three)
Yeah, Jason and Tim dating with his kids and now Bruce sleeping with his ex-wife, Roman’s hatred of them is becoming more and more justified. . Can I also just add that Roman would be the most miserable girl dad. Imagining him with his 3 bastard girls and ex wife who he's still hung up on but can't win back fills me with joy and its becoming a full on AU in my head.
Anyway, okay, so hear me out with my pitch; Jason/The Rebellious child, Tim/The Favourite child, Dick/The forgotten child
Specifically, one who has tried so hard all their life to not be. Even more specifically, a dancer, a singer, maybe a triple threat. It’s not that you need the attention, you’re good at what you do, you get the parts, you have a small fanbase, you’ve won some minor awards. But just once you’d like to look out into the crowd and see your father or your siblings out there cheering for you.
You try so hard to be supportive of the rest of your family, always there for everybody. You listen to your rebellious sibling and your father bitch about each other constantly, you help them mend their bridges. Rebel is notoriously flaky, but you always step up and cover for them.
You help the favourite study. You were the only one who knew when they started seeing Tim and you helped keep it a secret.
You attend all your fathers parole hearings, all his club launches. You wear the stupid clothes and play the happy, smiling child whenever he wants to show his kids off at events.
But no matter how much you do for everyone, they never return the favour. As soon as you bring up an audition you need help with or a new show you’re in, everybody dips. Nobody takes you up on the free tickets you can get them. When you were training, Roman footed the bills and told all his buddies about his kid the dancer/singer/whatever, but not once did he show up to a single one of your recitals.
But one day, at one of his stupid galas, Dick Grayson catches you dancing by yourself on the patio outside and is instantly smitten.
“Where’s your dance partner?”
“Oh, haha. Can’t you see him? He’s right here.” You jokingly gesture to the air.
“Ah of course, hello sir. Mind if I cut in? Not at all, please be my guest.” He puts on a silly voice as he answers himself before offering a hand to you. “May I?”
And you’re sceptical at first, but you take his hand, and you let him whisk you off. You dance around in circles all evening, laughing and joking, and getting to know each other. You have the night of your life, but dating Dick Grayson seems like a bad idea, it’s not that you don’t want it, it’s just that your dad would so not approve. So, you resolve to move on, but will always remember that magical night.
Until a few weeks later, you step on stage and spot him front and centre in the audience looking elated. And although it's downright euphoric for you to see him there, you're not prepared to face him. Alas, he comes to your dressing room straight after the show anyway. Reaching you before you can sneak out, and confronting you about never calling him back.
You explain your hesitations and that golden child part of his brain understands, his heart aches for you. But he so selfishly wants to see more of you, so he gently mentions how your dad doesn’t seem to care what you do... and hey, maybe he’s out of line here and if you want to tell him to take a hike he will but all he wants is a chance to be a part of your life, can’t you spare him one date? Please?
And damn is he hard to say no too. So, you concede. And one date becomes two, then three, and so on…
It doesn’t take long for you to fall hard and fast for him. C’mon who wouldn’t?
He’s handsome, and charming, funny, smart, and superb dancer to boot.
But what really does it for you is how badly he really does wants to be a part of your life. Dick Grayson wants to dance with you anywhere and everywhere; At galas, in the rain on the way home from a date, in your kitchen at 3AM.
Dick Grayson could listen to you talk about anything and everything all day long. Doesn’t have to be performance related, but he likes it best when it is. He especially loves reminiscing about his circus days with you.
And though his job may get in the way sometimes, Dick Grayson wants to be front row at every single one of your shows. He wants to clap the loudest, and bring you flowers, and tell all of his friends, THAT’S MY BOO up there! From the moment he met you, Dick Grayson could never, ever forget you.
How we feeling about this concept?
#Can even throw in:#Dick Grayson has had a crush on you since he first saw you 15 years ago at his first gala#but never had the chance to get you alone until that faithful night#anon#thanks for the ask#dick grayson#dick grayson x reader#dick grayson/reader#Nightwing#Nightwing x reader#Nightwing/reader#gilverranswers#sionis reader#girl dad roman sionis au

Three's a Crowd 1
Warnings: non/dubcon and other dark elements. My username actually says you never asked for any of this.
My warnings are not exhaustive but be aware this is a dark fic and may include potentially triggering topics. Please use your common sense when consuming content. I am not responsible for your decisions.
Character: Steve Abnesti, Steve Rogers, Steve Kemp
Summary: You're offered a deal without all the details.
Note: I'm stupid okay and fixed the description, etc.
As usual, I would appreciate any and all feedback. I’m happy to once more go on this adventure with all of you! Thank you in advance for your comments and for reblogging ❤️
You mop your face with the crumpled tissues. You swear, you cry more about people you never met than your own grandmother. You just can’t help it. No one should ever feel this pain, yet here’s a whole room of people struggling. Just like you.
Martin stares at the floor as the room sinks into the silent aftermath of his words. He lost his daughter in a crash ten years ago and he’s still here. You can see in his posture, in his eyes, that he still feels it as if it were yesterday.
You pinch your nose with the kleenex and gulp. You flutter your lashes and your gaze snags on another figure. Steve sits with one foot up on the bar of the stool, the other extended to the floor. A man his size makes the tall stools look small. His eyes crinkle before you look away.
Rita sighs, “thank you everyone for being here. It’s always nice to have you. As usual, there are refreshments. Please have some before you go. I’ll be here for a bit if anyone needs to chat.” She clasps her hands together and gives a forlorn smile. “Don’t forget to do your journalling.”
Martin gets up first. He doesn’t stay. He goes to get his coat from the rack of hangers. You slide off your seat as a few others trickle over to the table of cups next to an insulated urn and tray of cookies.
You check the time. You have the time to get a few before your shift. You wait your turn and sense another behind you. You grab a napkin and take one of the cookies from the array of chocolate, macadamia, and oatmeal. You glance over, and up, at Steve.
“You off to work?” He asks as he notes your uniform.
“Yeah, again,” you stop and fill a cup of coffee.
“Mm, I couldn’t imagine working after all this,” he says.
“Gotta pay the bills,” you shrug. “I... I hope it’s not overstepping but I liked what you said about your wife today. About how missing her is a reminder of how lucky you were to meet her.” You chew your lip and your eyes tinge. You sniffle. “I’m sorry you lost her.”
“Yes, well,” he takes a cup of his own.
He wears a blazer over a dark red shirt. The cut looks expensive; too expensive for here. And the gold frame of his glasses are a bit dated but the Prada on the arm suggests not. You always catch yourself judging and feel bad. You just can’t help but think he could probably afford better than the free community grief counseling.
“We’ve all lost someone,” he continues. “Your grandmother, right?”
“Uh, yes,” you frown. “She raised me.”
“Sounds like a very noble woman,” he remarks. “Oh, don’t let me keep you,” he checks his watch. The bend of his arm causes his muscles to bulge in his sleeve. “I hope it is a quick night for you.”
“Thanks, Steve. I’ll see you next week.”
“Next week,” he assures you and blows over his cup.
You stop to grab your fleece-lined hoodie before you head out. It’s bitterly cold out but your old wool coat went missing in the work breakroom. At your second job. The first one, you at least get a locker. You tried to factor a replacement from your next check but most of that will go to rent.
You sigh as you approach the stop, nursing the hot coffee and nibbling on the cookie. There’s no shelter there. The winds swirl around you and seep through your thrifted sweater. Can’t complain for a four dollar bargain.
A car slows as it passes and the tinted window rolls down. It’s nice. Sleek. Fancy. Well above what someone working a drive-thru window can afford. Steve shoves his large hand out and waves. You wave back, biting down on your embarrassment.
You turn your attention up the street and watch for the bus. When it comes, the last of your coffee is cold and your fingers are tingling but numb. You sit and rub your palms together as you watch through the window.
You get to the burger place right before you’re set to start. You clock in and put on the mandated visor and start your vigil in the window. You’re not allowed to wear any coat except the company-issued one but you can’t afford to order one. So you shiver in your long-sleeved tee and keep the window closed between customers.
A deep voice greets you from the speaker, “hello, um, might I ask what the wacky sauce is?”
You give it some thought. No one’s ever really asked. They just order extra and throw a fit if you forget it. You turn and grab a packet and hurriedly examine the ingredients, droning out an ‘ummmmmmm’ into the microphone. You do your best to explain.
“Mm, can I get the double without that?”
You agree. It sounds gross once you look at the label. You key in their order as they make it a combo with your prompting. You tell them to drive around and get the machine ready for payment.
You slide the window open and hold back a brrr. You nearly cough as you’re greeted by a familiar face. It’s Steve.
“Huh, what are the odds? I thought you sound familiar.” He smirks.
“Oh, hi,” you offer the screen for him to tap his card. You didn’t take him for the fastfood sort.
“Bust night,” he muses.
“A little,” you agree. “Do you need your receipt.
“No, thanks, sweetie,” he winks. “Nice to see a friendly face.”
He slowly rolls away and you slide the window shut. Ugh, you’re freezing. Not to mention a bit ashamed. It’s not hard to guess where you work since you wear your uniform all too often to the meetings, but it’s another to be seen out in the wild.
Does it really matter? The group is not about judging. It’s about listening. If anything, a guy like him will forget this all in the shadow of the exciting things going on in his life.

autograph session - Lando Norris

summary; Lando Norris x reader
How can Lando change the situation from enemies to lovers?
warning(s); bad language, angst, fluff, maybe grammar errors
author's note; I NEED MORE LANDO REQUESTS PLEASE I'M BEGGING :(
--------------------------------------------------------------
"I would never date someone like her"
This is what Lando said to Daniel Ricciardo after you were gone. You waited a whole day to get a photo with Lando Norris, talking a friendly conversation at an autograph session and when you walked away, you heard this.
Sure you're just a fangirl. But it hurts. You're not a model, you're not as tall as Lando himself but you're smart and nice.
It's like the world hates you months later - Lando Norris is sitting in the restaurant with his team where you work as a waiter. You need to pay bills, it's definitely not your dreamjob. He's definitely not your dream guest.
"I'm not going to this table!", you swear to your coworker. She's looking amused, she's the only one knowing why you hate Lando Norris.
"He'll not recognize you!", she supports you, laughing at the end of saying.
It's hilarious how you stand in front of her, acting like a child.
"Show him you're better than him", she pushes your body forward to Lando's table.
The team hears your foot steps and the attention is on you.
"What can I bring you to drink?", you twist your legs, trying to stay humble. You want to smash the menu card after lando's smirk. Reminding yourself, you really need the money.
They order their drinks and food, you're staying in the shadow without saying much words. Usually you're joking around, having a good time with all guests but you're not feeling well.
"Do you want to pay with the credit card?", you ask Lando without friendly manners. "I'll pay cash, thanks", he shows you his million-dollar-smile. Too bad it bounces off like a tennis ball.
"Thank you, Sir", you nod in the round, ready to leave, Lando holing your wrist, "this one is for you". You can feel cash between your hands, pushing the money like a reflex back to him, "fuck you, Lando Norris!". Your voice is hissing in his direction.
His eyes are getting big, his team is laughing but you couldn't care less, waking back to the cabin, ready to leave your last shift of the week. "What happened?", your coworker comes around, completely in anger what you did. "He can throw his cash in his ass, Mr. I would never date her!", you're frustrated. In this moment someone knocks on your door, "hello?", both of your heads spinning around. "it's only for waiters!", you warn this person. "I don't see if you're naked, I swear!", Lando Norris standing there and holding his hands on his face to cover everything. "what do you want?!", straight eyes caught him. Your coworker pushes you again, "Sir".
Lando rolls his eyes, his rolex is glimmering on his wrist. "what's your name?", he asks you. "doesn't matter", you don't want to interact with him.
"Did I upset you or why are you hating me this much?", he asks again, trying to make this situation a little bit funny.
You don't want to laugh with him, you want to sleep after a ten hours shift.
"Because you play with fangirls feelings!", you scream in his face. He touches his hair, totally chill.
"How can I change your mind, that I'm sorry?", he bites on his lips. He looks so good, you want to kiss and kill him at the same time.
"Leave the restaurant, thanks", you tell him your mind, you get hitting on your shoulder again. You huff, rolling your eyes, "everything is okay", you fake a smile. He says bye and leaves the restaurant.
You're thinking about this situation, even days later back at work. Yes, you had your reasons to be like this but he treated you not like grass unser his feet.
"One guest is asking for you", your coworker searched you in the crowd. "We're not a private restaurant so this guest has to wait!", you bite on your tongue not to say more you'll regret later, "bet you want to know who he is", she grins like a devil. "fine!", shrugging the shoulders and walking to table 10.
"Are you kidding me?", you're pissed to see this face again. Lando Norris in a smoking.
"Hi, nice to meet you!", Lando smiles kinda worried, his eyes are blurried.
"Wish I could say the same but here we are. We're not the only restaurant in this area", you spew fire. He plays with his crossed fingers, his head is down. "what did I do?", he breaths in. "What do you want to drink?", you have to do your job. Nothing more. "I'd like to order food. Just food", he sounds disappointed.
But you have to pretend you couldn't care less.
After he ate his dinner, paying and saying thank you - he left. He didn't left like joking, he stayed quiet.
"You broke his heart, girl", your boss comes around after the shift is over. "Whose?", "Mr. Norris".
This conversation hunts you, still on the streets on the way home.
Lando Norris would never ever go to a restaurant without having a plan. Or at least a reason. Your fan merchandise is hidden in your wardrobe, you didn't wore these things for two years like its a plague.
Next work shift you're tired. You could sleep on your own feet. What if he's telling your boss, you need to get fired? Just because your emotions you could lose your job.
"He's asking for you", your boss pets your hair like a dog and told you it's table 3.
Lando Norris. Again.
He might has vacation, shouldn't he win races?
"Hello", you smile, asking your typical questions as a waitress. It's the same like last time; he orders food, pays cash and wants to leave.
"Have a nice day-", you want to end his time in your restaurant, but he interrupts you. "I asked my menager if i did something wrong to you. There's nothing on social media. I have no clue-", he talks in his british accent. To be fair, his accent sounds cute.
"You told Daniel Ricciardo at an autograph session you would never date someone like me!", gosh. It feels so heavy to speak out this.
Lando's face gets gray. He's biting on his lip. "I'm incredibly sorry", his voice cracks and is shaky. So thin, it could easily break.
"What can I-", you talk between his sweet nothings. "You're a bad person Lando Norris and I don't deserve this. I worked hard to be here with two jobs to pay my bills and I'm not perfect but I'm good enough someone would like to date me! But you would never understand because I'm out of your league with your millions", you scream and leave the restaurant.
You're sure: it was your last day at work.
Nobody called you for the next week, your boss only texted you "take some time, see you in two weeks".
He destroyed you, now you destroyed him. But why does it feel so wrong?
You're watching TV, ice cream in your hands and the blankets is around like a coucon.
"Mr. Norris, how are you today?", the reporter asks Lando with the microphone in his hands.
"I'm okay", he answers with a sick voice, his face is not shaved. "you'll start from p4, are you happy with the results?", Lando shakes his head, "I'll try to win, like always", "you want to send the prize money to a kindergarten, why?", ok this question is interesting.
"I'm a bad person. I want to change it", he gets weak and walks to his car.
You feel bad. So bad. Maybe you hurt him, too.
Maybe he's crying right now in his car, helmet on.
The following next week comes earlier than you expected and now you're here; in your restaurant ready to make some people happy.
"Lando told me you're working here", a young boy with aussie accent standing here. "are you Oscar Piastri?", "psst please be quiet", he hides his face in his hood.
"He's a mess. He did an horrible mistake and he regrets it but he's not a bad person. I swear", he strongly says. "Thank you for telling me", you smile lovely.
"He wanted to ask you out since the team dinner. He came back here after the race of Australia and he had a jet leg and almost slept in the next practice but he didn't care because he thought you're happy to see him again", he spills the tea. He's not angry, he's calm. "What should I do now?", you feel rude.
"I can give you his number and his address, he booked a hotel room but is too afraid to come here", he whispers because guests are walking behind him. You nod and take the phone number.
"Why is he afraid?", "you ripped him with words". "Bye", he says in a hurry and leaves.
You decided to walk to him after your work shift, a luxurious hotel room in front of you.
You knock two times until you hear foot steps. "don't need room service but thanks", an exhausted voice talks.
"Open the door, Lando", you're freezing your ass off. It's cold tonight.
"What are you doing here?", Lando Norris standing here with nothing but in just his underwear.
"Oscar told me", you smile. You don't want to hurt him.
"Come in", he opens the door and let you in. It's clean, just some helmets on the ground, "I like your new helmet design", you smile again.
"I'll give them away", "why?", "I'm a bad person and want to make it better for my fans", he sniffles. "You love this helmet", you argue back. He told the media he would sleep with this helmet in his bed because it's so cool.
He's standing here, broken and lost.
"I want to treat my fans better..", putting his head down. "oh Lando", you can't help yourself and hug him. He's one head taller than you and lays his head in your neck, sobbing. "I'm sorry I told these awful things", touching his back, running circles over it.
"Everything will be alright", you breath in his cologne. "You're not a bad person", you correct yourself.
"I am and I just wanted to ask you out", he cries in your arms. You're watching out of the window. It's already dark outside, cold air. "Everything is alright, Lando", you burry your head in his hair.
"I'm such a pussy", he sniffs and stops hugging you. "you're not", you smile and whip his tears away. In front of you is a good looking, inside and out beautiful person.
"I swear I wasn't talking about you at this autograph session", he uses a tissue and smiles. "Oh what is this?", you catch a beige hoodie in your hand, lando's name on it. "its my new merch but it's not-", "I'll borrow it until you ask me for a date so you have to come along", you wink at him. He giggles his adorable laugh, "okay, darling".
Darling.
I might fell for his personality.

much more interesting things | eddie munson

summary: you're stuck in a rut, and starting to hate your crappy high school friends. eddie helps you see that there are better, more beautiful things out there - he just didn't expect you to think that he was one of them
warnings: underage drinking, shitty ex bfs and friends, cheating ex
a/n: i started this and finished it in like 4 straight hours, replies & comments appreciated, i love feedback fr
Eddie sees you sitting alone in a large group of people.
He recognizes most of them from high school, but he can't put any names to faces. He'd only been graduated a year, but it was like he had no memory of that place, or those people. Trina? Tina? That party girl who hosts that crazy Halloween bash every year... and... uh, Carol? Was that Carol sitting there? No idea.
But he doesn't really care, because he's busy noticing you, and the way you pick at the label on the beer bottle, focusing your gaze on your fidgeting fingers. He notices how you're so ridiculously beautiful. He notices the way you mouth every word to the local musician playing a Johnny Cash cover. But most of all, he notices the smile that doesn't reach your eyes. He notices how you keep looking behind you to the door. Waiting for someone? Or planning an escape? He can't quite tell, but he was dying to find out.
Steve smacks him on the arm, whispering something, and Eddie has to tear his eyes away from you. Robin and Nancy shared a look between themselves, and then looked over at the girl who had Eddie's attention. They started whispering amongst themselves.
"What?" he asks, looking over at Steve, not having heard a word he said.
"I asked if you were ready to go?" Steve repeated, rolling his eyes.
He's not. Eddie is so... intrigued by you that he feels the need to stick around. See who you're waiting for, or hiding from, or ... he doesn't know. Eddie's not even sure what he's expecting.
"You go," he answers after a long minute, "I'm gunna grab another drink at the bar."
"We can stay longer," Nancy suggested, smiling at Eddie, and sneaking another peak at you.
"No, it's okay," Eddie smiled, letting his eyes fall back on you. "I'll see you guys tomorrow."
And then they left, saying their goodbyes to their friend and paying their bills, heading off into the parking lot while Eddie took a new seat at the bar. He sat facing away from you, not wanting to be a complete creep, but there was just something that kept him around.
You wanted to leave. This whole idea was stupid, you were stupid for agreeing to it.
A month ago, your best friend had started dating your ex-boyfriend. She didn't exactly ask you if it was okay, she just dropped it on you and expected you to be okay with it. But you were realizing, sitting here celebrating his birthday, that you absolutely were not.
What kind of friend was she, anyway?
You tried pushing passed it, but as you sat their, watching all your other 'friends' laugh and giggle as Tina and Reed climbed all over each other.
It was clear that most of them had known about this little affair long before you had. You needed a drink...
You brought your beer bottle up to the bar, putting all the little pieces of paper you'd ripped off it inside of it. You leaned against the counter beside Eddie, looking over and watching as he chugged a sip of his beer. You watched his adam's apple bob as he drank, but you saw that he was watching you. You thought maybe you'd been him watching earlier too, when his friends were still there.
"Eddie, right?" you said, using him as a distraction. He nearly choked on his beer.
"Uh, yeah," he muttered, "hey..."
"y/n," you said, smiling. It was refreshing, Eddie not knowing who you were. He wasn't one of the popular crowd, and you were honestly jealous of that. You wanted to fall away from them. You wanted to fall from grace.
"I knew that," he said, looking away, the lie clear on his features. But you weren't mad, you smiled.
"You didn't," you said, winking at him. How many drinks have you had? You felt the warmth and confidence radiating.
After showing the bartender your handy fake I.D, you ordered a beer and two shots, pushing one towards Eddie. He picked it up, looking at it for a moment, and then you, waiting expectantly to cheers it.
"You don't have to take it," you joked, "but could you let me know so I can put my arm down?"
He chuckled lightly, goofy grin taking over his cheeks, and he cheers you, downing the shot alongside you. It burned, but you liked it. You chased it with a sip of your beer, the bubbles making the linger sting fade.
You heard your friends calling you name, and you turned to see them giggling and whispering. You assumed it was because they thought hanging out with Eddie was slumming it.
"I guess I should get back," you said, your face showing your honest lack of interest.
"Why do you hangout with them if you don't like them?" he asked, and it was your turn to nearly choke on your drink. You coughed, surprised by the suddenly deep line of questioning.
"Who says I don't?"
He laughed, "you should get back, I'd hate to ruin the party."
"That party was ruined when it started," you mumbled, and he just laughed harder.
"Yeah you're right, I really feel the love."
You laughed, and he felt pride settle into his chest. The smile climbed all the way to your eyes, lighting them with a sparkle that made you even more beautiful than you already were. Eddie feels butterflies in his stomach, and he looks away, softly smiling at the beer in his hand.
Talking to Eddie was... fun, and returning to the table full of fake people with fake smiles was ruining that.
"What were you talking to him for?" Carol asked, boney fingers biting into your skin as she held your arm.
"Uh, because I was waiting for a drink and he was sitting there?" you asked, looking at her with a look like she was an idiot. Because she was - she was an idiot.
"Well, don't. He's bad news, and bad publicity."
"Unlike my friends here, who would never do anything to hurt me, right?" you asked, looking to where Reed and Tina were showing a disgusting amount of PDA. Why the fuck were you still sitting here.
"Don't be like that," Carol snapped, "it's not their fault they fell in love. They both felt really bad about it."
"How long have you known about them, anyway?"
Carol looked down at her lap, and Tommy, sitting nearby laughed obnoxiously.
"Go on, tell her." He kept laughing, especially when she hit him on the arm, because apparently everyone in the world was in on. "But tell her the truth..."
Tommy didn't care about the truth, he'd just had five beers and wanted to stir the pot. The people sitting close to you guys had gone quiet, no one willing to meet your eye, while Reed and Tina stayed oblivious to the whole scene, kissing each other like they were alone in her bedroom.
You chugged the beer in your hand, figuring this was probably the end of the party for you, you wouldn't make it through much more without snapping. "Yeah, Carol," you said, slamming the bottle down on the table, but still somehow, Reed and Tina stayed in their trance. "Tell me the truth."
"Three months..." she whispered, keeping her eyes locked on her lap. the table was silent.
"Nooooo," Tommy sing-songed, "I'm pretty sure I said the truth."
"Shut up, Tommy!" Carol snapped, glaring at him. Those two were not perfect for each other, and should probably break up. You grew impatient.
"What can be worse than my best friend going out with my ex right after we broke up?"
"How about fucking behind your back for two months before that."
Carol wouldn't meet your eye, Tommy was laughing, and Reed and Tina had these stupid, guilty pouts on their face like they expected you to never find out. You felt numb, like you should be more mad but you just... didn't care.
Eddie was right, you didn't even like these people.
Your eyes drifted over your shoulder to Eddie, where he was still sitting at the bar, eyes forward but you knew, you knew he was paying attention. He was nothing like anyone sitting with you at that table. He was perfect.
You slid out from the table, chair squealing loudly in the silence, as every looked at you. Fuck these people, fuck this group, fuck this place, and really really fuck Reed and Tina. You were over it, outta here, and moving on, but not before a glorious, "go to hell," that made your chest feel ten time lighter, like a load was suddenly lifted off of it, freeing you from the chains that these poisonous people kept on you.
You didn't storm out, or start crying, or even rush. You just stood up, put your coat on, and sauntered over to where Eddie was sitting, turned towards you and watching with a huge smile on his face, like he was proud of you, and honestly, you were proud of yourself.
"Wanna get out of here?" you asked, leaning beside him again, making sure those assholes could see you were still wearing a pretty smile.
Eddie grinned from ear to ear, saying "lead the way," before getting up and putting on his leather jacket.
Outside of the bar, you two walked silently for a minute. You still weren't even that broken up about it, you kinda suspected he was fooling around behind your back, and you always knew Tina was a shitty a friend, so this was just, what it was.
"Can I just say that was awesome," Eddie said, breaking the silence.
"You can," you smiled, trying to break your thoughts away from them entirely. "And you should."
"Those guys are jerks," he said, "you're better off."
"I know, right?" you laughed, "It's my fault really, I shouldn't have even shown up tonight. I should've ditched them months ago."
"What even was that? Those guys were all over each other the whole time. I don't even think they spoke to any of you after you sat down."
"How long were you watching, creep?"
Eddie blushed, looking down at his feet. You hit him with your elbow, showing him the smile you wore, assuring him that you're just teasing.
"That guy was my ex," you sighed, "and the girl he was with is supposedly my best friend."
Eddie laughed, "I'm sorry, it's not funny," he said, still laughing. "But that's insane."
"Tell me about it," you huffed, kicking a rock with your shoe. You weren't sure if you were leading, or if Eddie was leading, but you were just kind of walking down the dark sidewalk. You were kinda headed towards the elementary school. It was late, sure, but neither of you had a curfew to worry about. "But anyway it was his birthday yesterday, so everyone wanted to go out to celebrate. They're throwing a party at Tina's after, I think the whole school is going."
Eddie hummed in understanding, not really knowing what else to say.
"I'm surprised you didn't hear all about this," you said, "it was the hottest gossip last season."
"I don't really listen to that stuff," he said, shrugging. "I don't think I even really know who Reed is. I feel like Harrington knows him, maybe?"
You nodded. You liked this about Eddie. He didn't want to gossip, or spread rumours, and he didn't revel in other people's misery. He couldn't name the entire basketball team, but you could bet he knew all his friends birthdays, or like, their favourite snack.
Most of your friends nearly missed your birthday if you hadn't reminded them the day before. You'd been with Eddie five minutes, and your other group already could barely hold a light up to him. You can't remember why you hung out with them before, and you can't fathom why you'd never thought Eddie was cute until now.
"So what brought you to the bar tonight? I thought you guys went to that other spot, uh, The Hangout?"
"The Hideout," he corrected, "that's where my band plays. And Steve wanted to go here tonight. He likes the deep fried macaroni bites that you can apparently only get there."
"Ah, I see, so very important stuff."
"Very important."
It fell silent again, and you worried that you'd made a mistake. Like, maybe Eddie didn't want to be here. Like he felt bad for you or something.
"It's nice out here," he said softly, and you noticed he'd stopped a few steps back, you were too distracted by your anxiety to notice. You turned towards him, copying him by tilting your head back, looking at the star filled sky. It was peaceful, standing here with Eddie.
"Yeah," you agreed, letting the beauty of the night's sky clear your anxieties. You'd been so used to shitty friends, that you didn't know what is was really like to be treated nicely.
You were still looking up when Eddie came back into focus on you. You were beautiful. Like, really beautiful. He was kinda shocked when you first spoke to him, and he was totally floored when you asked him to leave with you, smile covered in sincerity and eyes filled with trouble. He knew the odds of this turning out well for him were slim, but he wanted to see it out anyway. You seemed different than the rest of them, and he was going to give you a chance to be.
Your hair was falling over your neck in a way that tempted him you reach out, and brush it over your shoulder.
Instead he looked at his feet, shuffling a rock around while he shook those thoughts out of his head. Obviously after a situation like that you were in a vulnerable state, and he wasn't going to be some jerk who took advantage of that.
"Safety infraction," he said, pointing at your shoe, and before he could stop himself, he was on one knee, tying your shoelace for you. He realized it was entirely dorky and weird to just start tying someone else's shoes, but it would've been weirder to stop.
But you didn't think it was weird at all. You thought it was sweet, and kind, and... well, it made you blush, the burning sensation was so prevalent you knew he'd be able to see it when he looked back up at you, and he did. Eddie took note of the fact that he'd made you smile, blush and laugh all night, without trying.
He thought... Eddie thought maybe there was a chance here, a chance for something special.
You were something special, and it baffled him that more people weren't aware of this. He was confused about how guys weren't throwing themselves at your mercy and declaring their servitude.
"Thanks," you said, smiling as he stood level with you again, and you noticed the light blush across his own cheeks.
"You're welcome," he said, and the two of you started walking again, letting a calm silence fall between you.
You were closer now, so close you could feel the odd brush of his knuckles against the back of yours, and you could hear his breath hitch every time. You wanted him to reach out and grab it, but he didn't.
"C'mon," you said, grabbing his hand and tugging him across the street, "I want to swing."
But neither of you let go once you were across the street. His hand was rough. Hard with callouses from years of guitar, but it was also warm, strong, comforting. You didn't want to compare him to Reed, you had no right to think of Eddie like this, but you couldn't help it. He was cute, and when you were sure he wasn't a rebound moment, you'd tell him.
Eddie didn't let go of your hand until you made it to the swing set, only releasing his grasp to climb onto the swing beside yours. Immediately, he kicked off, trying to swing as high as possible. You swung gently, feeling the breeze and enjoying the moment. Eddie's hair was flying around him wildly, and when he swung forward, all his hair trailing behind him, you could see the unadulterated joy on his face, and it made you smile. It made butterflies flip in your stomach, like a hundred of them were suddenly released into your chest.
"Watch me!" he shouted, jumping off the swing, only to land a few feet away in a thud, shouting a weird sound when he landed. It didn't sound good.
"Hey," you said, slowly down and getting off the swing. "Are you okay?"
"Oh yeah," he said, laying on his back and giving you a thumbs up. "Don't worry about ol' Eddie, he's resilient." But the squeal he let out when he tried to put pressure on his ankle betrayed him.
"Let me help you," you said softly, reaching down to help pull him up. He leaned heavily against you, resting his ankle down, only to wince. "Maybe you should sit down," you said, guiding him to a park bench nearby.
"I don't live far," he said, "through the yard and cut through the Masterly farm, then we're practically there." He coughed, "I mean, if you don't mind, you don't have to I can probably call Wayne at work, there's a payphone-"
"Eddie, stop, of course I'll help you," you said, smiling when he did, despite the pain he felt, he knew you were different. "Let's get you home."
The walk should've been ten minutes, but it turned into over half an hour, with Eddie's injury, he was walking at a snail's pace. He kept repeating how you didn't need to suffer this with him, but you wouldn't hear it. He was helping you in ways he wouldn't understand, just by being a kind presence, showing you that there are much more interesting things out there, way more interesting than some shitty friends.
The whole time you guys just talked. You told him about how you've been feeling lately, neglected and sad. And he told you about his mom and Wayne, and how he wants to pursue music.
At this point, you were sure it wasn't any kind of rebound thing.
When you got to the trailer park, he got quiet, hesitant, like he expected you to take off at the sight of his home. But you weren't fazed. You just helped him in without saying anything, sitting him on the couch.
"Can I take a look?"
"If you've got the stomach for it," he joked, hitting himself in the forehead when you looked away.
But you just laughed, slowly untying his shoe, trying to take it off without hurting him. He didn't say anything, just watched as you did so. He thought you would drop him inside and head out, bu here you were, sliding off his sock with the most gentle touch he'd ever felt.
"It's swollen pretty bad," you said, "ice?"
"I think we've got peas?"
You nodded, getting off the couch and bringing yourself to the kitchen. He watched you shuffle around in the freezer, followed by the drawers. He said nothing, just watched you tuck your hair behind your ear, relishing in the fact there was this work of art in his kitchen.
You finally found a clean dish towel, and wrapped the peas in it, bringing them over to your damsel in distress.
"Thanks," he said, unable to look away. you focused on his ankle, the purple bruise already covering the large bump on the side.
"I don't think it's broken," you said, "but maybe you should get it checked out by a doctor."
"Do you think it can wait until tomorrow? There's a nurse in the green trailer," he said, bashful, "she usually helps us out."
"Yeah, I think so."
It was quiet for a moment before he said, "do you think you would want to stay for a bit?" You both looked away, both suddenly shy and blushing.
"Yeah," you said, "you should really lay down though, and get some pillows under your leg."
"You can come in there," he said, sounding a little too eager. "Not like, for any funny business," he said, catching himself on his embarrassment, but taking solace in your little giggle. "We can just hang out."
"C'mon," you said, grabbing the frozen peas and helping him back up. You helped him into his room, asking where you could find him a pair of sweats to replace his jeans were, and throwing them over when you got them. You turned around, giving him some privacy. You saw his music, and decided to help yourself and put some low music on.
"Thanks again," he said, clearly struggling to undress and dress while laying down. "For helping me home, and- uh, and everything else."
"No problem," you said, shuffling your weight between your feet. "Can I look?"
"Yeah, I'm good."
While laying there, he looked devilishly good. You felt bad for his ankle, sure, but he'd taken his shirt off, his soft tummy on full display, and his legs were strewn between the white sheets, his good leg tucked under, but his bad leg bare, showing his grey sweatpants. His hair was messy, splayed over his neck and shoulders, and he looked good enough to eat.
"Can I sit?"
Eddie smiled, "of course," he said, shuffling over to make space for you.
It was later than you realized, and you were suddenly exhausted. Or maybe you were just justifying crawling into Eddie's bed at your first opportunity. You set up a few pillows under his leg, leaving none left for yourself, just one for Eddie.
"Take one back," he said, pulling it out from the stack. "You need one too."
"No, no," you pulled it out of his hands and returned it, instead opting to lay into his side, resting your head on his chest. You could feel his heartbeat quicken, and his breathing get faster. He smelled like freshly fallen leaves, cinnamon, and the faint smell of weed. It was intoxicating... "Is this okay?"
"It's perfect," he said, wrapping a hesitant arm around you, pulling him in closer to you, "absolutely perfect."

THE PARTY | DOM!BILL KAULITZ X FEMREADER
you were invited to a party by a friend who also happened to be bills friend as well. you kind of already knew him because of his band but your friend wanted you to meet him.
you dress in (choose your own outfit) and you do your makeup and you head to the party which was at your friends house.
you walk in and you hear blasting music and you squeeze through the crowd.
“f/n!” you call out her name and you see your friend talking to bill.
“hey y/n, this is bill… bill this is y/n.” she introduces you two and you both awkwardly wave at eachother.
“im gonna leave you two alone so you can chat.@ she winks at you and you roll your eyes but you smile softly when you look at bill.
“so… i know your band..” you say trying to start conversation. “yeah? i assume f/n told you huh?” he chuckles softly.
you nod and smile, “yeah… shes always talking about how i need to get a boyfriend and blah blah blah but… i just never have any luck.” you say sighing.
“well i dont see why? youre beautiful, im sure youre really smart… and youre really sweet.” he says softly handing you a drink.
as the party goes on, the people leave and your phone dies.
“shit…” you say as you stand outside.
bill comes up behind you. “whats wrong?”
“my damn phone is dead so i can’t buy an uber.” you sit down on the bench.
“you need to crash at my place?” he suggests smiling.
“thank you… you dont have to do that though.” you say trying to brush his request off.
“no its okay, come on.” you get in his car and you ride down the streets.
“when we get there, dont mind my brother, hes constantly fucking annoying and hes a perv so just dont freak out when you see him.” he warns
you chuckle and shrug. “he sounds… interesting.”
you get to his house and you get up to his room and you sit down on his bed.
“you can sleep in my bed if you dont want to sleep on the couch, just whatever makes you feel most home.” he nods and sits oddly close to you.
“mhm ill be okay here. its more comfortable.”
“do you wanna watch a movie?” he asks “uh sure i really like horror movies.” you smile a bit.
“me too honestly, which one do you wanna watch?” “i think the exorcist.. ive seen it so many times but i love it.” you smile and he puts the disc in.
into the movie, you jump at the jumpscares and you bury your head in his chest on accident.
after a moment you notice bill starts to get touchy.
“you know… youre kind of cute when youre scared…” he smirks down at you and his hands roam over your body. “bill..” you moan softly. he kisses you and you climb on top of him.
you both grind against eachother, feeling bill is hard and you kiss down his neck….
“fuck…” he moans as you kiss your way down his torso and you stop right under his belly button. “you mind?” you ask softly before he nods and you pull his underwear down.
“god you look so big.” you smile.
“fuck me baby. ride me.” he says lowly, as you sit up and you lube his cock with your wetness as you sink down onto his cock.
“fuck! bill..” you moan and gasp at his size.
he grabs your hips and helps you bounce up and down.
you grind and kiss him as your ride him.
“you feel amazing around me schatz.” he moan loudly as you bounce a bit faster.
“are you on the pill?” he asks as he feels himself about to cum.
“mhm… cum inside me… please come with me.” you whimper as your walls contract around him.
“come!” he groans and grunts words of pleasure as he cums inside you load after losd and your cum drips on his soft cock.
“god… that was… amazing.” he chuckles and you lay on him, sweating.
“can i stay here tonight? i dont want to be alone right now.” you asks softly.
“mhm of course. im here for you liebe.” he says kissing you.

Mushy May: Day 3 - Nesting
Thank you to the wonderful @forlorn-crows for putting this together. Calendar here!
words: 1,686
pairings: mountain/dewdrop/swiss/rain/phantom/cirrus/perpetua
Nesting during tour season was incredibly hard. Between single nights in crap hotels and small bunks, keeping a nest intact was near to impossible. It became even worse when ghouls who experienced a heat needed to have a nest in order to ride out their cycle.
Perpetua was soon learning why his brother racked up so many bills with bigger buses, nicer hotel rooms, and an abundance of blankets and pillows. It happened on a long travel day, hundreds of buses adorning the roads of France. The band wasn’t scheduled to have another ritual for a day, still having 17 hours of travel time.
The ghouls were still getting used to him. Most of them were still fiercely loyal to his brother, they were polite and did their duties, but they didn’t like him. They only interacted with him on stage, playing it up mostly for the fans. Once the two ghouls who held his hand for bows let go, he didn’t see much of them until they crowded in on the bus hours later.
Tonight, there was no hotel break and nice hot showers. They stopped for dinner at a small hole in the wall restaurant, somewhere all of the band could have a moment of peace. The breaks hissed as the buses hauled to a stop, crew members and ghouls all shuffling out of their respective buses. All but two decided to get off the bus, Mountain and Perpetua.
Perpetua decided he wasn’t hungry that night, still stressed over the lack of connection with his ghouls. He sat in the front seats of the bus, his bunk cold and empty. Mountain, on the other hand, was in the far back of the bus, thorns and moss covering his antlers, a putrid scent of rot coming from his shedded velvet. He only had on a ratted pair of sweatpants, way too hot for anything else. He shuffled around, trying to pull together the small blankets and scratchy couch pillows to form something that would bring him a tad of comfort. He didn’t even have much clothes from his pack, most of them in the other bus with their costumes. He let out a frustrated whine.
Perpetua snapped his head up, the wounded sound making him question. “Uh, ghoul? Is everything okay?” He made his way back to the end of the bus, pulling back the curtains that divided the seats and bunks. “Oh,” he gasped, eyes blown at the sight of the ghoul. “Are you alright?”
Mountain turned away from him, his brow furrowing over the lack of nesting materials and his packs fading scents. Sure, they were only a couple hundred feet away eating dinner, but leaving the bus felt nearly impossible. The thought made his skin crawl. He needed them back, now, and he longed for his room in the abbey and the huge nest on his bed and—
“Mountain, what’s wrong?” Perpetua asked, a hand hovering over his shoulder.
The ghoul jumped out of his skin, letting out an embarrassing noise. He forgot he wasn’t alone. He turned to the man, staring down at him. God, he missed his old Papa.
“I-uh, m’ alright. Sorry.” He mumbled out, desperately looking around for a shirt, jacket, blanket, or hell anything, to cover up his chest in front of Perpetua. He couldn’t call him his Papa, couldn’t quite trust him.
Perpetua scoffed, sitting down on one of the loveseats and staring at the ghoul. The ghoul who now was lasered in on him, staring at him in disbelief. “That’s Rain's seat.”
The man opened his mouth in shock, looking around the bus to confirm that they were, indeed, alone. “Is…Can I not sit here for the time being, until they get back?”
Mountain whined again, hands tightening around each other. “You’ll make his scent fade faster.”
Instead of arguing, Perpetua just nodded, standing up straight and moving to lean against one of the bunks. “This alright?”
The ghoul just nodded, heading back over to the seats and leaning down, rubbing his face against the awful fabric. Rain’s scent was just there, just enough for him to quell the itching under his skin. He picked up on Perpetua’s scent, too. It wasn’t as nice as Copias, but it was close enough that he relaxed just a little.
“Should I go get your pack, Mountain?” The human asked, staying put as the ghoul started to rummage around the back again, “You look a bit pale.”
Before either could make another move, Mountain spun around, long animal like ears sat up, turned towards the bus door. His pack shuffled in loudly, Swiss yelling about he could have eaten another burrito, and Rain shooting back that the bus toilets could barely handle him on a good day. Dew snickered along, tugging Phantom alongside. Yet, just the smallest breath from any of the ghouls would have told them exactly what they were missing. Swiss caught it first.
“Uh, Mount, honey? You back there?” The multi ghoul asked, his pack starting to catch the beginning of heat scent. They stared at the closed curtains, almost afraid of the state of their poor Earth ghoul.
“He is back here,” Perpetua yelled, making all the ghouls rush towards the back, legs and tails tripping over each other. All the ghouls stared at their mate, curled up and whining against terrible cushions. They all growled out and raised their hackles. “Wow, woah, it’s okay, I haven’t done anything.”
Dew stalked by Perpetua first, tail lashing at a speed that made small embers fall behind him. He put a hand out to Mountain, cooing at him softly. “It's time, then, Mount?” Mountain just sobbed, relieved at the mere touch from his mate.
Cirrus spoke up, catching the eyes of Perpetua. “Thank you for being with him while we were gone, but we have him now.” She said sternly, walking over to Mountain and Dew and standing in front of them, shielding them from the human’s view.
Perpetua nodded, understanding that she was politely telling him to leave the back of the bus. “Is he going to be alright?”
“We’ve got him.” Swiss said curtly, walking towards the bunks and pulling out everyone’s pillows, sheets, and personal items.
“Oh, okay. I’ll be upfront, then.” Perpetua said, seeing himself out. As he sat back in his cold chair, he made a note to ask his brother about what just happened.
Once the curtains shut, the whole pack fell down on their knees around Mountain, hands roaming all over him. “You did so good, Mount. Such a good boy for us, hm?” Cirrus praised, hands raking through his dirty brown hair. Mountain whined, pushing his face into the palm of her hand like a cat. She just laughed, pressing a soft kiss between his horns.
“I tried to build a nest, but there wasn’t enough stuff and the scents are so faded and everything here is so scratchy and itchy and my skin is–” He rambled, tears falling down his face.
Rain wiped them away delicately. “Hush, pretty bird. It’s okay. Phantom went to grab extra clothes from the other bus when he scented you, alright? Just try and relax with us.”
Dew heard the bus door open and left to help Phantom with the bags, both ghouls passing Perpetua without a glance. They knew that he should know, but now, their priority was Mountain. If Copia happened to call while this was going on, they would make sure the message would be passed along.
Dew and Phantom dug through the bags until they pulled out Mountain’s favorite blanket. “Here you go, songbird. Look what Phant found for ya, hm?” Dew cooed, draping the blanket over his mate. “Cirrus and Rain will stay with you while we fix up a nice nest for you, alright?”
The ghoul just nodded, a small purr building up at having his blanket. It smelled like home.
Dew, Phantom, and Swiss began to create a nest big enough for all of them. They pushed all the love seats together, creating an oddly shaped rectangle. Swiss plopped down all the sheets and pillows, making a solid layer across the irritating feel of the couch cushions. He placed pillows on every edge, securing them with fitted sheets and loose pillowcases. Phantom began by weaving together the walls, t-shirts, pants, hoodies, tank tops, and even underwear were all twisted together to create a lovely barrier. Dew took his time going over every piece, scenting it strongly. Soon enough, one of the best back of the bus nests was created.
Cirrus smiled at her other mates, loving the dedication and precision they put into making a nest. She was so proud of them, and she knew that Aether and Cumulus would be too. She tapped on Mountain, his now fogged over eyes staring up at her like she was the only thing in the world. “Nest is ready, gorgeous. You wanna get in?”
Mountain nodded, but soon whined at the idea of getting up and coming out from underneath his blanket. Swiss just laughed, walking over to him. “Alright, love. Now I’m no Aeth, but I’ll give it a shot.” Mountain squeaked as Swiss wormed his arms under him, hauling him up with a groan, and walking him the short distance to the nest. Setting him down like he was made of glass, Swiss tucked him in again, covering his ghoul with the blanket.
“There you go, honey. Perfect nest just for you.” Swiss purred out. “Do you want us in there with you, or do you need some time alone?”
“In here, please. Need you, need you all.” Mountain mumbled, the first bead of sweat falling down his forehead.
“Okay, little flower. Let us grab some water and snacks and we will be right there.” Swiss smiled, already shedding his shirt.
Rain shed all his clothes first, eager to be close with Mountain. “Scooch over, my love. I’m coming in.”
They all joined in eventually, but not without a stern warning to Perpetua to not open the curtains under any circumstance. He didn’t dare.

While You Were Sleeping
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Word Count: 6.3k
Summary: You work for the transit authority as an attendant in NYC where you see glimpses of Natasha everyday as she waits for the subway. You slowly gain a crush on the woman and fantasize about crazy things like marrying her or being in love with her, but you know realistically that would never happen. It’s just a way for you to pass the time. One day while waiting for the subway Natasha is mugged and left unconscious, which leads to a case of mistaken identity at the hospital where they assume that you are Natasha’s fiancée. You become caught up in everything and become too scared to tell the truth. Pretty soon you're hanging out with Natasha's family, but the longer you hang out with them, the more you fall in love with them, and especially one person in particular.
Author's note: This is basically just the Sandra Bullock movie While You Were Sleeping, but with Natasha as Peter and Wanda as Jack. I made a couple of changes to speed things up and make it my own but the plot is pretty much the same.
Today was Christmas Day, a joyous time for everyone. New York was beautiful this time of year. Bells were ringing, snow was falling, and lights were glistening all around, but it’s not like you would get to see much of it because of your job as a transit worker. That is where you currently are, stuck behind a booth.
You sit behind the same booth day in and day out, giving out tickets and occasionally helping people with directions. You’re unable to see anything but the subway until you leave. It’s a very monotonous job, but it pays the bills, and you can’t complain about that.
Even your home life is rather boring. You live in a tiny, slightly run down apartment building, but at least the super is nice. You can’t say the same for his son, Leo, though, who hits on you every chance he gets. You take it though because you won’t be able to find an apartment this cheap anywhere else.
The only thing that makes your day better is her. She enters the subway station everyday at 8am to wait for the 8:15 train and then she comes back on the 5:15 train. Sometimes she stops to talk to you for a few minutes, and it always makes your day. So far you’ve learned that her name is Natasha, she works in finance, and judging by the gold ring on her finger, she’s engaged. But that doesn’t stop you from dreaming about her. It’s not like your little crush would ever lead to anything anyway.
She always has her red hair in a fashionable updo and her clothes are the latest styles. You can tell by the gold Rolex on her wrist and the tone of her voice that she is someone important, someone with money.
You like to imagine that it’s you she’s talking to in that stern voice whenever she's on the phone, you she goes home to in her, what you assume to be, lavish apartment. But you know that idea is just a fantasy that you use to escape your boring life, and you’re okay with that. It still doesn’t stop you from admiring her though.
“The things you’d give just to lay under her,” you think to yourself. The thought makes you blush and turn your head away from the redhead who is standing just a few feet away from you near the edge of the subway platform.
You suddenly hear a scream and see two people running away with what looks like Natasha’s purse, but you don’t see Natasha. People start to crowd around the platform, looking over the edge at something. You run out of the booth you had been sitting in and you peer over the edge of the platform and there you see Natasha, lying motionless. Without thinking, you climb down onto the tracks next to her.
“Natasha,” you say, trying to coax her awake. “Come on, wake up," you say trying to wake her. A loud horn startles you, causing you to look up. A train is coming right for the two of you. You try to pull her off the tracks, but you’re too weak, so you do the only thing you can think of to do. You climb on top of her, wrapping your arms around her. You roll the two of you out of the way just in time, landing on the shoulder of the rails.
Your heart is beating fast as you check the two of you over, making sure the both of you are okay. Natasha still hasn't woken up, she must have a concussion or some sort of brain injury, you realize. With the help of some other civilians, you're able to get the both of you to safety. Pretty soon, the two of you are in your respective ambulances on the way to the hospital.
You're checked over pretty quickly and discharged. The only injury you had were a couple of scrapes, luckily. As you're being discharged, you ask the nurse about Natasha, but she says that she can't tell you anything.
"Ok thanks anyway," you say turning to leave.
"I was going to marry her," you say under your breath to yourself, referencing you silly little fantasies. You start to walk out the door when the nurse calls you back.
"If that's the case I can take you right to her," the nurse tells you. You don't have the heart to correct her and you're too embarrassed to say anything. You're not even sure why you said that out loud, but you did, and you're thankful because now you can check on Natasha.
She's laying in the hospital bed. She has a cut on her forehead and all sorts of wires and machines hooked up to her. You sit down in a chair next to her, telling her that everything will be alright, but you're not even sure that she can hear you. You continue talking to her until you hear a loud ruckus in the hallway that then enters the room.
In walks an older, tall bearded man, a shorter brunette haired woman, and another blonde haired woman, who looks to be close to your age. They all file into the room with the doctor and the nurse from earlier right behind them.
"What's going on, what happened?" the man asks at the same time as his wife asks, "What's wrong with my baby?"
"I'm sorry but you daughter is in a coma," the doctor says. All three of these strangers faces crumble. "She'll pull through. She's healthy, her brain waves are good," the doctor adds.
"Brain waves?" the blonde girl says, mostly to herself, you think.
This is when you try to make your escape. You try to leave the room unnoticed while everyone is talking, when the doctor brings the attention onto you.
"Your daughter was pushed off of the subway platform, but this girl right here saved her," the doctor says, shoving you forward.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Natasha's father asks.
"Her fiancée," the nurse standing next to him says before you can explain. Suddenly the room is in an uproar with everyone talking over one another. You try to interject and explain that this is all just a big misunderstanding, but it's no use, so you just give in.
"Fiancée?" everyone questions.
"I didn't know Natasha has a fiancée," you hear someone say. "When did she leave Maria?" another person asks.
"I guess it makes sense that we don't know these things. We haven't really talked to Natasha in two years," the mother says. Everyone accepts this answer, and for that you are grateful.
You are about to try and leave again when someone starts speaking to you. "Thank you for saving our Natasha," Natasha's father says. He embraces you and it's then that you know that you can't tell this kind family the truth, at least not yet. You let him embrace you and then the rest of the family joins the hug.
"Natasha won't be up for a while, why don't the four of you go get something to eat and then come back," the doctor suggests. Before you can even answer you are being pulled along by the family and led to the cafeteria, where they buy you some dinner.
"It's the least we could do," they say, which just makes you feel guiltier.
"So how did you and Natasha meet?" Natasha's mother, who you now know is named Melina, asks.
"We met at my job, I work at the subway as an attendant. She always takes the subway and one day we just got to talking and really hit it off," you tell them. You know the more you lie the more dangerous webs you spin, but you can't tell this family the truth now.
"What first caught your eye about her?" Yelena, who you now know is Natasha's sister, asks.
"Her smile, it's truly beautiful," you say, answering honestly.
"They're caps, 600 bucks a tooth," Alexei says under his breath, laughing to himself. You can't stop yourself from laughing too.
The more time you spend with this family, the more you fall in love with them. They're bright, cheery, and just so much fun to be around. You can tell that they truly love each other. At the same time, it makes you long for your family who is now long gone. Your mother died when you were a baby and your father a year ago, leaving you all alone. It's nice not to be alone again, and you don't want to let go of this feeling, at least not yet.
The four of you check on Natasha one last time before everyone decides to go their separate ways for the night.
"Dear," Melina says before you leave. ""Come celebrate Christmas with us tomorrow. I know tomorrow isn't Christmas but with everything that's happened today we didn't get to celebrate and we'd love to have you over."
"I'd love to celebrate with you," you tell her.
"Oh and Wanda will be there too! You haven't met her yet but I'm sure she'll love you," Yelena adds. She gives you her family's address and a hug before you walk out of the hospital and go home for the night.
The next day you are up bright and early, excited about seeing people and getting to be apart of a family, if only for a little while. You get dressed in a nice sweater and jeans and pretty soon you are standing at the Romanoff's door. You knock and a beautiful girl with auburn hair answers the door.
"Hi, who are you?" the girl asks.
"Y/n, who are you?"
"Oh you must be Natasha's fiancée. I'm Wanda, her adopted sister."
"It's nice to meet you," you say.
"It's nice to meet you too darling," Wanda tells you. The nickname sends a blush to your cheek, but you're not sure why. Wanda lets you into the house and you're quickly enveloped in a hug by the family.
"Y/n we're so glad you could make it," Melina says.
"Thank you for inviting me," you tell her. "And here's this," you tell her, handing her a cake you had purchased for them on your way home last night.
"Thank you hon this smells delicious." Melina goes and sets the cake on the counter and then everyone sits around the couch and Yelena and Wanda start to show you baby pictures of Natasha.
"This one is from when she saved a squirrel," Yelena says. "And this one is from when she won a spelling bee."
"She won a lot of those," Wanda adds, making you laugh.
The three of you look at Natasha's pictures for quite some time, but the whole time you can't take your eyes off of the girl sitting next to you. There's something about Wanda that is just magnetic, but maybe that's just a family trait, you assume.
"Family picture," Alexei yells out.
The four of them crowd around the tree and you stay seated, not wanting to ruin this moment.
"Y/n get up here," Melina tells you.
"Are you sure?" you ask, not wanting to join the photo and ruin it.
"Of course I'm sure, you're family now." Melina pulls you into the photo, having you stand next to Wanda.
"Say cheese," Alexei says, holding the camera out in order to capture everyone.
"Cheese," everyone says in unison.
"That's an amazing picture. That's going on the wall." Alexei passes the camera around and everyone agrees. When the camera gets to you, however, the picture knocks the wind out of you. You hadn't seen yourself look that happy in a long time. You're smiling and it's a genuine smile, not the smile you give to the strangers at work, but an actual smile. You looked like you belonged in this family, even if you really didn't.
The next thing the family does is presents, which you did not come prepared for.
"I'm sorry I didn't get you anything," you tell the family.
"Your presence is enough dear. You've brought this family closer and we could never thank you enough for that," Melina tells you, making you tear up.
"We did get you something though," Yelena tells you after everyone has opened their gifts. Yelena hands you a beautifully wrapped package and inside is the most beautiful jacket you have ever seen. It's burgundy with a black fur trim. It's exactly your size and style and everything.
"It's perfect you guys. Thank you," you say, tears falling from your eyes.
"You don't need to thank us, you're family now," Wanda says.
The night goes by too fast for your liking, and before you know it, it's time for you to go home.
"You can't go home in that weather y/n," Yelena says. You know she's right, it's practically a blizzard out there, but you feel like you've taken enough of their kindness for granted.
"I should go home."
"That's nonsense," Melina says. "You can stay in the guest bedroom."
"Ok," you say quickly agreeing, not wanting to truly walk out of this home, and this family's life forever. Wanda shows you to the guest room and shows you where everything is.
"Let me know if you need anything honey," she tells you before walking off. The nickname once again causing you to blush.
You quickly settle into the room, but you have trouble falling asleep. It's like no matter what you do, you just can't sleep. You get up and out of bed, deciding to go get a glass of water. You pull a glass out of the cabinet and you start filling it up when you hear some noise behind you. You turn around to see Wanda.
"What are you doing up?" she asks.
"I couldn't sleep. You?"
"I couldn't sleep either."
The two of you stand their in silence for a while, neither sure what to say to the other, until Wanda finally breaks the silence.
"So how long have you and Nat been together?"
"About a year," you say, hoping that that is an acceptable answer. A low hmm is the only response that you get. You’re not sure what it means, but you try not to think too much into it.
“What do you do for work?” You ask the auburn haired girl, trying to fill the awkward silence.
“I’m an antiques dealer. I work for the family business.”
“That’s pretty cool.”
“It’s really not.” You can’t contain your laughter when she says this.
“Yeah it’s not but I think that’s still an interesting fact about you.”
“So what made you choose the transit authority?” Wanda asks you.
“Well a couple years ago my dad got sick. His bills were expensive and I just got the first job I could find. And then he died and here I am years later,” you explain. You don’t know it yet, but Wanda’s heart melts a little bit at this explanation, at how caring you are.
“I think that was very selfless of you.”
“Thank you Wanda.” Yet again a blush finds it’s way to your cheeks around this woman.
“So are you dating anyone?” You ask Wanda. You’re not quite sure why you asked her that. She thinks you’re with Natasha, but still a little selfish part of you wants to know.
“No I’m not. I’m single,” Wanda says, trying to slyly eye you up and down, but you catch her, which makes her cheeks pink. It’s a nice change of pace, being able to make her blush instead of the other way around. Wanda knows eyeing up her sisters fiancée is wrong, but it's harmless. It's not like she's going to act on her feelings.
Wanda looks away from you and moves to set her glass in the sink. She goes to walk away, when she turns around.
“Goodnight,” she says. She walks up to you, placing a light kiss on your cheek before making her way upstairs to her room.
“Goodnight,” you say back, not sure what else to say. You gently touch the place where her lips had met your skin and it brings a smile to your face.
After a while you decide to go to bed. You bring your glass of water with you and when you get to your room you set it on the nightstand. You climb into bed and drift off and as you dream, you dream of the beautiful auburn haired woman who is sleeping just a few doors down from you.
The next morning you have to work, so while the rest of the family is eating breakfast, you’re on your way out the door.
“We can’t wait to see you again,” Melina tells you while hugging you goodbye.
“I know we need to get together soon,” you tell her.
“We will,” she assures you. Alexei hugs you next, and wishes you well on your day.
After him the next person to hug you bye is Yelena, who promises that the next time you see her she will tell you plenty of embarrassing stories about Natasha, which you look forward to.
And then finally it is Wanda. “I’ll see you around,” you tell her, not quite sure what to say to her after last night.
“Yeah see you around,” she says back. She hugs you and you hug her back, neither one of you truly wanting to break off the hug, but you know that you have to.
You pull back from her and walk out the door, trying to ignore the strange feeling in your chest. You know what you’re doing is wrong, lying to this family. But it feels so nice to be apart of a family again, you don’t want to give it up. You decide to push these feelings down and make your out of the house.
Since you have a bit of time left before you have to go to work, you decide to go see Natasha. The drive to the hospital is quick and before you know it you're sitting beside Natasha, talking to her comatose body.
"Hi Natasha. I don't know if you can hear me, but I really hope you can. I'm the subway worker who saved you, I'm not sure if you remember me, but I hope you do. There's been a bit of a mix-up and everyone thinks I'm your fiancée. I've tried to explain but everything has just snowballed and I don't know what to do," you say. "I'm so sorry for what I'm doing. I hope when you wake up you can forgive me," you say. You go to stand up and leave, when a woman walks into the room.
"Are you Natasha Romanoff's fiancée?" The blonde woman asks. You assume she's a cop based off of the way she's dressed.
"Yes I am."
"I wanted to make sure her family got this," the woman says, handing you a small evidence bag that contains her wallet and keys, the two things the thieves didn't steal because they weren't in her purse.
"Thank you," you say to the woman, but you feel wrong for thanking her. You feel no better than the muggers who hurt Natasha. Because that's what you're doing, you're hurting Natasha and you're hurting her family with your lies that grow bigger and bigger everyday. But you can't tell the truth now, you don't want to lose them.
After the interaction with the cop you tell Natasha goodbye and you’re on your way to work. Your shift goes pretty smoothly, but the anxiety that has plagued you ever since this Natasha mess started doesn't go away, so you just try to ignore it. Pretty soon your shift is over and you're out the door.
Unbeknownst to you however, while you’re on your way home Wanda pays your apartment building a little visit, hoping to see you after your shift.
“Hi, do you live here? I’m looking for y/n y/l/n, this is her building right?” she asks a man who is outside working on his car.
“Yeah this is her building. I’m Leo the owner of this place,” he says, smacking the gum he has been chewing. If you had been there, you could've told Wanda that Leo was lying, that he's just the super's son, but you're not so she doesn't know.
Leo eyes Wanda up and down. The action gives her major creep vibes, but she stays rooted in her spot, determined to not let him know how he is affecting her.
“I was looking for y/n,” she explains. “I was just wondering if she’s here right now,” Wanda says, trying to keep her conversation with this man short and light.
“What do you need with my girl?” The sentence takes Wanda aback. What does he mean his girl?
“I’m sorry?”
“What do you want with my girlfriend?”
“I didn’t know she was your girlfriend.”
“Well she is, even if she told you differently,” the man says defensively. This sends alarms ringing in Wanda’s head. And it is at this time that you walk up to the building.
“Hi Wanda,” you cheerfully greet her. “Leo,” you say, unable to keep the disdain from your voice. “What’re you doing here?”
“I just wanted to see you and make sure you’re okay.”
“Well that’s very sweet of you. Why don’t you come on up?” Wanda smiles and shakes her head yes, letting you lead her into the building and into your apartment.
“So Leo is,” Wanda says, the end of her sentence trailing off because she’s not sure what to say.
“Yeah he’s weird, crazy, whatever you want to call him,” you supply.
“Yeah that,” she laughs. “He said you were his girlfriend.”
“He always tells people that.” You roll your eyes, annoyed at Leo for lying to Wanda. “I’ve turned him down like a million times but he never listens, but he’s pretty harmless.”
“I’m glad he’s harmless at least.” You nod in agreement.
“So how are you holding up?” Wanda asks, referencing Natasha. The sympathy in her voice almost makes you want to tell her the truth about everything.
“I’m alright,” you say instead. “I’m keeping busy.”
“That's good, you know my family and I are here for you. Whatever you need y/n/n, you just have to ask." Wanda's response brings a smile to your face.
"Thank you Wanda," you say enveloping her in a hug. She wraps her arms around you and you melt into her. The two of you only breakaway when Natasha's keys, that you had forgotten about until now, softly poke Wanda.
"What's that?" Wanda asks. She knows they're not your keys in your pocket because you had placed yours in a dish by the door.
"Oh they're Nat's keys. A cop gave them to me earlier at the hospital."
"Have you been over to her place since?" Wanda travels off, not wanting to truly mention Natasha's accident.
"No, not yet." You softly shake your head.
"We could go now, it might be helpful," Wanda suggests. You know you should say no. This is an invasion of Natasha's privacy, but your curiosity and desire to be with Wanda win so you say yes.
The drive there is pleasant, the two of you converse for a while before Wanda pulls into the parking garage. The two of you get out of her car and you walk into the building, letting Wanda lead the way since you have no idea were you're going.
"So how often have you been here?" Wanda asks as the both of you ride up the elevator.
"Oh just once or twice," you say, hoping to cover up the truth. A soft hmm is the only response that you get. You pray that Wanda isn't on to you. Wanda leads the way to Natasha's apartment and you unlock the door with Natasha's keys after a bit of difficulty.
Wanda eyes you suspiciously while you wrestle with the keys. You've been here once or twice, shouldn't you know which way the key goes? Maybe you're just stressed, Wanda tells herself. It would make sense because Wanda certainly is.
The two of you walk into Natasha's apartment and you stare at everything starstruck. This place is so much nicer than you could have imagined.
"Wow," you say under your breath.
"You're looking a bit starstruck y/n, you're acting like you've never been here." Wanda laughs and you laugh with her, trying not to let her on to the fact that this is in fact your first time here.
"It's just every time I come here it just gets more beautiful I feel like," you say, hoping that's a logical excuse.
"Yeah I guess it is pretty nice. I prefer something a bit more homey."
"This place is missing a bit of a personal touch," you say, agreeing with what Wanda said about Natasha's lack of homey vibes. "It's very Natasha though."
"Yes very," Wanda says, agreeing with you this time." You're about to say something else when Wanda's phone starts to ring.
"Hello," she says into the receiver. "What, really? Ok we're on our way," she says before hanging up.
"Nat's awake," she says. There is excitement written all over Wanda's face, which you try to reciprocate, but on the inside all you feel is dread. You know in a few minutes everyone will know that you're a liar and you'll lose this family that you have created.
"Come on let's go," Wanda say. "And grab Nat's car keys, I wanna take her car." You do as Wanda says and the two of you make your way to the parking garage.
You walk in the direction that you hope Natasha's car is in, praying you don't look lost.
"You know which one is Natasha's car right? You where it's parked don't you?"
"Of course I do," you say, totally bluffing. You hit the lock button on the key fob, waiting to see which car's horn goes off. As luck would have it, the black corvette stingray in front of you goes off.
You slide into the drivers side while Wanda sits next to you on the passenger side. The whole way there all you can think about is how you hopefully just passed whatever sort of test Wanda was just putting you through. You think you passed, because Wanda doesn't ask you anymore questions. Before you know it you're at the hospital freaking out over seeing Natasha.
"I don't know if I can do this," you mutter. You can feel yourself starting to freak out, your anxiety climbing higher and higher.
"Of course you can," Wanda says. "It's just Natasha." Wanda places a comforting hand on your shoulder. Unfortunately her words do not help, but her actions do.
"Thanks Wanda."
"Anytime y/n." The two of you walk to Natasha's room and soon you're face to face with the woman you have had a crush on for a while. She's laying in bed, looking rather worse for wear.
"Hey Nat, look who's here," Wanda says.
"I'm sorry who's that?" Natasha asks, sitting up.
"Your fiancée, don't you recognize her?"
"I'm sorry I don't," Natasha says. It makes sense to you because of course she doesn't recognize you, but Natasha's words make Wanda run for the doctor.
"Stay with her, I'll be back," Wanda says.
"So how long have we been together?" Natasha asks once it's just the two of you.
"A year," you say, telling her the lie you've been telling everyone else.
"Oh," is the only thing Natasha says.
"Yeah," you say, even though you have no idea what that oh means. Pretty soon the doctor and Wanda walk back in, bringing a sense of relief to you.
"Natasha what's the last thing you remember?" The doctor asks as he walks in.
"Umm," Natasha says, really trying to think on her answer.
"I think breaking up with Maria."
"Ok," the doctor says.
"And what month and year is it?"
"January 1994." That answer shocks everyone in the room because while it is currently January, the year is 1995, not 1994.
"I'm sorry Natasha, but you seem to be missing a year of memories," the doctor says before he slips out.
"I guess it makes sense why she doesn't remember you now," Wanda says.
The only thing you can think of when you hear this is how great everything has worked out for you. You're grateful that you can stay in this family just a little bit longer, but then your conscious weighs you down. You're about to spill the beans when Natasha starts to talk again.
"So I don't remember my fiancée," Natasha says to herself. "Well that's pretty shitty."
"You can always make some new memories with her Nat. Maybe this could be a blessing in disguise, you can fall in love with her all over again," Wanda says, trying to cheer Natasha up.
"Yeah maybe it can be a blessing," Natasha says. she grabs your hand, holding it, while looking in your eyes. It makes you smile, but she doesn't make you feel giddy like she used to when you'd interact with her. Instead all you feel is guilt and love, but not for her, but for her sister you realize.
You try to keep a brave face on the whole time, trying not to break down and spill the truth, but you're too far in now and you know it.
As time passes by the rest of the Romanoff family filters into the room. It's nice being surrounded by all of them, it brings you a sense of comfort, even if it is all based on lies.
"So what are you going to do about the engagement?" Yelena asks out of nowhere. "What?" she asks after noticing the stares she's getting. "I know we were all thinking it."
"I don't know," Natasha says. "Maybe we can start over?" she suggests.
"I'd like that Nat."
"Hi, I'm Natasha," she says, holding out her hand.
"I'm y/n, it's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too," you say shaking her extended hand.
"I'm sorry to interrupt," the doctor says, slipping into the room. "But Natasha, you can go home tonight. All for your tests cam back clear, except for the amnesia, but that should go away on it's own."
"Oh my god this is great news honey," Melina says. Everyone starts to celebrate and the excitement starts to wear off on you too.
"Wait where am I going to stay?" Natasha asks.
"You've got an apartment sweetie," Alexei says. "But if you don't want to be alone one of us can stay with you."
"Can y/n stay with me?" Natasha asks shyly, it's the complete opposite of the way you hear her talk in the subway.
"I can stay if you want."
"I do," she says.
"Ok that's settled then," Melina says.
After another hour Natasha is checked out and packed up and the two of you and Wanda who you need to drop off, are sitting in her stingray, you driving.
"Do you really not remember the last year Nat?" Wanda asks.
"No, I don't think so. I remember proposing to Maria, being rejected and then nothing. But clearly something happened from now to then and pretty quickly because I've got y/n and a pretty ring on my finger." You don't say anything, feeling too guilty.
Soon you're pulling into the parking garage of Natasha's building, letting Wanda out so she can walk to her car.
"Bye Nat, by y/n," she says.
"Bye Wanda," you say softly. You're sad to be watching her leave. You wish you were going with her, but you're here with Natasha.
You help Natasha into her house, making sure she's comfortable in bed, before you go to leave, but Natasha drags you back down.
"Don't go, please," she begs.
"Okay," you say, giving in easily. You climb into bed beside her, allowing her to cuddle into your side.
"Goodnight Nat."
"Goodnight y/n."
Over the course of the next few days, you spend all of your time with either Natasha or her family. The two of you spend your days getting closer and closer.
You try to ignore the nagging in the back of your head, your feelings for Wanda, the way your heart feels with the Romanoff family, but it gets harder everyday. You don't want to lose the Romanoff family and their love.
"I'm going to the store," you tell Natasha, just needing to get away and be with your own thoughts.
"Okay, hurry back baby." She leaves a soft kiss on your lips before you walk out the door. The affection brings your guilt rearing back up, urging you to tell the truth.
The trip to the store does wonders for you, and by the time you get back to Natasha's apartment, you decide that you're going to tell her the truth. Except when you get there, there's Natasha, sitting at her dining room table. A white cloth covers the table and rose petals lead from the door to your chair.
Natasha stands up and walks over to you, grabbing your hands and leading you to the table.
"Y/n, I know I barely remember you," she says as she sinks down to one knee. She pulls out a ring box, making you gasp. "But I know that I love you. I know that you mean everything to me and I don't want to lose you. Will you marry me?"
"Yes," you say, completely forgetting about your plans on telling the truth. You get caught up in the excitement.
"I want to marry you as soon as possible," Natasha says as she slips the ring on your finger.
"Okay whatever you want," you say, too happy to truly acknowledge her words right now, to truly soak in what she's saying.
"How about tomorrow? The courthouse?"
"That sounds perfect," you say, but on the inside you can think of a million reasons on why you should put a stop to this, but you don't because of your own guilty conscious.
That night Natasha makes all of the arrangements. She calls her family and some caterers for a small reception at her parents house. Pretty soon everything is in place, the only thing that's left is for the two of you to walk down the aisle tomorrow.
Tomorrow comes quickly and everything is a blur. Before you know it you're in the courtroom bathroom, Wanda putting the final touches on your makeup.
"Can you give me a reason not to marry her Wanda, anything at all?" you beg, breaking the heavy silence that had been between you two. Wanda looks away from you, saying nothing, bringing tears to your eyes. "Okay," you say before you brush past her. Your long, white dress, that you borrowed from Natasha's closet, scrapes against her side but you ignore it. You walk out of the room, ignoring Wanda and ignoring your now broken heart.
You quickly dry your eyes and meet Natasha outside the bathroom, the two of you walking hand in hand to the courtroom.
Her family, including Wanda, gather around the two of you. A few of Natasha's friends, who you had met throughout the past few weeks, are also there, you notice. There's about 15 people crowding around you. This is never how you thought this day would go, but you can't complain.
"Do you Natasha Romanoff take y/n y/l/n to be your wife?" the judge asks.
Before Natasha can answer the door to the room bursts open and an angry looking woman storms inside.
"Stop the wedding," she screams out.
"What?" you can hear people around you scream in confusion.
"What is this?" Natasha asks.
"This is me stopping your wedding. You're engaged to me Nat, remember me," the woman pleads.
"I remember. You came back to me, you said yes," you hear Natasha say after moments of silence. It looks like seeing Maria brought her memories back.
Suddenly the room erupts into chaos and you use it as your chance to escape, too ashamed to admit the truth to the Romanoff family.
The next couple of days you spend in solitude, ignoring anyone who knocks on your door. You hide out in your apartment, surviving off of delivery food, until you finally have to go back to work.
The walk to work is miserable. You have nothing to look forward to and to top everything off you've practically ruined your own life with your lies, but it's what you deserve. At least you think so.
You enter the subway station and slip into your booth, shrugging on your bright blue vest. You spend the day on autopilot, taking tokens and giving tickets, barely acknowledging the people you're helping.
A woman steps up to your booth and she drops her token into the token slot, but when you go to grab it, you realize it's not a token at all. It's an engagement ring. You look up and you see Wanda and her family, minus Natasha, the people you thought you would never see again. They're all smiling at you, looking at you with so much hope in their eyes. Wanda walks around to the entrance to your booth and you let her in. She drops down to one knee before she begins to speak.
"Y/n, over the past couple of weeks, I have gotten to know you, we have gotten to know you," Wanda says, gesturing to her family outside the booth. "And the more I think about it, the more I realize that I can't live without you. The past couple of days without you have been torture and I don't want to be without you anymore. I love you and I'm sorry it took me so long to say it. Will you marry me?"
Outside the booth you hear Melina and Alexei arguing about whether or not you'll say yes, while Yelena is chanting "say yes" over and over again. They bring a smile to your face. You don't want to live without them, and you certainly don't want to live without Wanda.
"Yes I'll marry you," you say, giddiness lacing your voice. Wanda stands up and kisses you, her hands cupping your face and it's the most perfect kiss you've ever had. It's full of passion and love. It's everything you ever thought it would be.
"I love you Wanda."
"I love you too y/n."

We're Getting That Fucking Cat
Ticci Toby and Jeff the Killer go on a date to the carnival.
4.7k words
tw: frequent use of the f-slur because jeff interacts with a gay person, and one use of the r-slur but i swear it's actually funny.
The sidewalk was covered in gum and melted ice cream, and the air was loud with screams. Just like how Toby and Jeff liked it. Toby stopped to look at the prizes on a carnival game, his normally tired, brown eyes wide with excitement behind a pair of orange goggles as he watched a teenager fail horribly at the axe-throwing game in front of what seemed to be their girlfriend. His head jerked to the side involuntarily, and he tugged at the fabric mask he'd put on to cover the giant gash in his cheek as it warmed his face in the summer heat. Jeff hadn't bothered to cover his face at all. His body was covered in scars, only the nasty Glasgow smile across his face being self-inflicted, and his face was burnt completely white. His eyes were bloodshot and he didn't seem to blink as he stood next to Toby with a smile. "You gonna win that giant cat?"
"I'm gonna--WOAH--win that giant cat." Toby said. His eyes were fixated on a huge plushie of a calico cat strung up by its neck in the corner of the tent. Jeff pulled from the stash of stolen wallets in his hoodie pocket and whipped out a twenty dollar bill. "Get her ass."
Toby stepped forward and slammed the bill on the counter excitedly while Jeff watched from a distance, his hands in his pockets, until he felt a gentle tug on his skinny jeans. He looked down to see a child, way too young to be unsupervised.
"Excuse me, Mr. Clown," The child asked adorably, "Do you do balloon animals, please?"
Jeff stared down at the kid for a moment, a bit dumbfounded, before juking them. They ran off with an avalanche of screams and tears. Jeff laughed loudly, "Stupid kid."
Toby took the toy axe in his hands and spun it around in his hands for a moment as he got a sense for the weight and balance. Jeff walked up behind him and leaned against the pole of the tent before he felt it shift and quickly stood up straight.
The game employee's eyes shifted nervously towards Jeff every once in a while as he tried to keep his eyes on Toby.
Toby flung the axe expertly over his shoulder and stuck it into the center of the target with a loud thud. "Good job!" The employee said with a raised eyebrow. Toby marched forward and plucked the axe from its spot to perform the same feat four more times.
"Fuck yeah!" Toby's neck jerked again as he pointed to the cat, "Gimme that one!"
The employee's smile faltered a bit as he cleared his throat, his eyes still darting between Toby and Jeff, "You actually need fifty points for that one."
"What?!" Jeff shouted. Toby followed suit, "Oh fuck off! How many did I get?"
The employee stared at Toby fearfully for a moment. "F-five."
Jeff threw his hands up, "That cat is not worth...fifty dollars?"
Toby counted on his fingers before shouting, "You want me to pay you five hundred dollars?!"
The employee furrowed his brow and counted on his fingers, trying to check their math and rolled his eyes at the answer, "Look, I just work here, okay? You can get one of the smaller ones or you can play again."
Jeff stepped forward angrily and shoved the employee before Toby grabbed his shoulder. "Dude," Toby clicked his tongue, "I don't want to get kicked out--FUCK--yet!"
Jeff huffed and backed off. He rolled his eyes and flipped off the employee as he grabbed Toby's arm and the two disappeared into the crowd.
"Dude," Toby scolded and jerked his neck again, "Are you fucking stuh-stupid?"
Jeff smiled, "No, I just act like it." He glanced back at the tent to make sure they weren't followed and held out the game employee's badge. Toby grinned mischievously and shook Jeff's shoulder. "Shit, alright. Sorry I--bark--doubted you."
"I forgive you," Jeff stowed the badge away in his pockets, "Actually, I'll forgive you if you can snag us a free churro." He nodded towards a churro stand with a teenage girl running the register. Toby smirked and adjusted his mask. "For sure."
Toby walked up to the counter and lifted his goggles. "Hey!" He said cheerfully and smiled with his eyes, "I've got a quick question, if that's alright."
The girl smiled back, "Yeah, what's up?"
Toby's head jerked to the side a bit as he slipped the right side of his mask off, casually resting his head in his hand to cover the off-putting gash on his left cheek. "My, uh...my brother over there, he's got brain damage from a nasty car accident, and this is his first venture out of the house in, like, months since our parents died."
"Oh no!" The girl's eyes widened, "That's real nice of you." She looked over Toby's shoulder and saw Jeff laughing at one of the driver's licenses he'd stolen. She grimaced a bit at his face, but immediately felt bad and looked back at Toby.
Toby smiled and clicked his tongue, "Oh, it's nothing-g. He's a sweet kid. I've got a dilemma, though, that I was hoping you could help me with."
The girl's eyes darted from Toby's freckles, to his lips, then to his eyes as he twitched again. Toby continued, "He spent all our money on a carnival game and we barely have enough to get home. It'd make his day real special if he could try a churro for the first time."
The girl gasped slightly, "He's never had a churro?" Toby nodded his head, feigning sympathy, "The home he's been in doesn't let him go out a lot."
The girl only briefly glanced at the camera above her before practically shoving two churros into Toby's arms. Toby flipped his mask back over his face and acted shocked by the girl's kindness, "Oh my god-d, thank you! Your secret's safe with me." Toby started to walk away, but turned on his heels, keeping his smile wide, "Quick question, actually. I heard there was a really good ride next to the warehouses. Do you know where that is?"
The girl pointed, "The Bat Cave is that way, just past the children's rides."
Toby put his hand over his chest, "Thank you so much. Have a fantastic day." He waved and turned around, relaxing his face and rolling his eyes. He shoved the churro into Jeff's hand. "Holy shit, I'm guh-glad you're good at looking--FUCK--fucking stupid."
"Why?" Jeff chomped down on the churro and frowned, "Shit, it's cold in the middle."
"Cope," Toby bit into his and it was warm all the way through. He broke it in half and handed the other part to Jeff. "Warehouses are that way," Toby pointed where the girl had led them, "Should we wait until it's dark or just go for it?"
Jeff hummed in delight as he bit into the warm churro. "I was hoping we could bully some kid on the bumper cars before we go." Jeff nodded towards a line that wrapped around four times over, "Think you can get us past the line?"
Toby rolled his eyes and finally lowered his mask all the way to eat, "You seem to think I'm a lot more charming than I am. The 'yuh-younger brother disabled from a horrific ca-car wreck' story only gets us s-so far." He clicked his tongue and jerked his head.
"That's what you've been using?! That's a cheap shot!"
"Dude, I haven't seen anyone over eighteen work-king these stands. Flirting with kids is a good--SHIT--way to get kicked out."
Jeff rolled his eyes and grumbled, "I fucking hate having to play nice just to ride some stupid rollercoasters."
"You wanna just bribe him?"
"I'm not bribing someone over bumper cars. The liquor store's on the way back; I want to stock up." Jeff pointed at the Ferris wheel, "What about that one? Line's short. It's getting dark, we'll be able to see the city lights."
Toby smirked and clicked his tongue jokingly, "W--WOW--city lights and a trip to the liquor store? Gonna buy a nice rosé and have a kuh-candlelit dinner?"
Jeff shoved Toby and tossed his churro wrapper in the trash, "We still need to break into the warehouse, fag."
Toby laughed and finished the rest of his churro. He asked with his mouth full, "When do the game tents close?"
"I saw one close, already," Jeff said, "They made the poor kid haul everything into the warehouse."
"W-what? Why don't we just steal from the tent di-directly, then? Before they close completely?"
"More options, for one," Jeff shrugged, "But I figured we could get a ride home from one of those kids' lockers."
Toby grimaced, "I-I really don't--WOO--like driving," His ticks got more aggressive at the thought. Jeff thought for a moment as they approached the short line to the Ferris wheel, "I mean, we can take the train again if you really want to, but it's a thirty minute trip with a car versus five hours if we bike from the train station."
"My bike's h-here," Toby scratched the back of his neck, "How--WOW--would we get it back?"
Jeff lowered his voice a bit, "You think none of these kids are driving Mommy's SUV? I'll snag one with one of those fancy FOB keys. We'll shove it in the back, drive to the edge of the woods, and walk it back like nothing happened."
Toby paused as they sat down and let the ride operator lower the bar in front of them. "You're driving--"
"I'm driving," Jeff laughed, "You'd crash--" He cut himself off as Toby's face dropped. Jeff wrapped his arm around Toby briefly and shook him in a silent, masculine, guarded attempt to reassure him without having to apologize. "You wouldn't crash. I'm not gonna crash it, either."
Toby chuckled quietly and took his mask off as they were lifted into the air. "You're dumb as shit."
"Shit, and I'm not even the cute one," Jeff smiled. A small brush of relief rushed through him as Toby took off his goggles, showed his full face, and laughed, "That's the closest thuh-thing to a compliment I've ever heard come--come out of your--click--maw."
Jeff rolled his eyes and turned away. "Don't get used to it."
"Wouldn't dream of it," Toby smirked smugly and looked out at the city lights. "Shit," He muttered, "They r-really lit this place up."
Jeff leaned over to look as well. He nodded. "Huh," He muttered, "Sometimes I forget humans don't have night vision."
"You think they'd for-forget the lights entirely if they did?" Toby asked, leaning back so Jeff could hear him as a quick breeze flew past their ears. The ferris wheel stopped them at the top as a new set of people climbed on and off at the bottom.
Toby shrugged, "Cuz we still have lights at the manor."
Jeff scooted closer to get a better view. "I mean...it's not bad-looking."
Toby smiled mischievously. "Y-you're not bad-looking," He teased. Jeff rolled his eyes, more dramatically this time, and fought back a smile, "Ah, fuck off."
Toby looked at Jeff and scooted closer, his arrogant grin growing wider as he lowered his voice.
"I could always fuck you, instead."
Jeff's face turned bright red and he staggered backwards, completely floored by the sudden change in tone. Toby scooted closer until Jeff was pressed against the side of the bench, and didn't so much as flinch as he stared Jeff down with an equal amount of smugness and desire. Toby laughed quietly and leaned in closer, "You're r-real cute when you're--"
"I will throw us both off this Ferris wheel, I swear to god."
The carriage started moving again and Toby sat back up, arms crossed and a conceited grin plastered across his face. Jeff rolled his eyes and grumbled, "You're getting a big head."
Toby faked a cough, "I've got another big head for you--who said th-that?"
Jeff jumped in his seat again but couldn't hold back his smile anymore. "I am not against domestic violence, Erin!"
Toby tried to choke out another flirtatious response, but between his ticks and the way he doubled over in laughter when he watched Jeff pull his hoodie over his face, he couldn't. "Sh-sh-sh--click--FUCK--show--"
"I'll show you domestic violence!" Jeff hugged the side of the bench and started kicking Toby away. They both laughed crazily as they made another trip around and stopped at the top of the Ferris wheel again; and by the time Jeff sat back up in his seat, Toby had calmed down as well. Toby sighed, "I'm just fucking with you."
"Damn," Jeff pulled his hood over his face as a chilled breeze flushed past the two, "And here I was hoping you were a fucking fag."
Toby blushed and pinched the bridge of his nose, his grin growing again. "Jeff, what the fuck am I supposed to suh-say to that without making you go fuck--FUCK--fucking feral?"
"I'm flustered!" Jeff threw his hands in the air then tightly crossed his arms, "Fuck do you want from me!"
Toby cleared his throat dramatically, "I mean, if--if you're offering..." He leaned over and rested his head on Jeff's shoulder. Jeff tensed up for a moment before hesitantly resting his head on Toby's, arms still crossed.
Toby smiled, "This is n--click--nice."
Jeff sighed and muttered, "Yeah...thanks for dragging me out here."
"Thanks for--for stealing that badge. I w-want to shove--click--firecrackers into that cat's asshole."
"God, that thing's probably so flammable," Jeff sighed like someone remembering their wedding night. Toby agreed, "They never p-put in the work to--WOO--make that cheap crap flame-retarded."
The carriage started moving again and the two had to force themselves apart before they were guided off the ride by an extremely unnerved ride attendant.
"Where are we going, again?" Toby asked. Jeff pointed towards the back of the park. "We can probably just follow the kids in uniforms. Pretty sure it's their bed-time." They moved down the darkest path with their hands in their pockets, bumping each other's shoulders occasionally as they walked. "For the record," Jeff asked, his step quickening slightly into an excited hop, "We don't have to worry about getting kicked out, anymore. Right?"
"I mean--" Toby nodded his head back and forth in silent debate, "We can still get banned."
"This place is stupid, anyway," Jeff grumbled.
"I had fuh-fun," Toby shrugged, "Plus, we're ab-bout to have a lot--click--more." He turned around and walked backwards to look at Jeff. "You guh-gonna steal us a nice car?"
"You're in?" Jeff's eyes lit up. Toby nodded quickly. "Train doesn't st-stop at the liquor store. We've got en-nough for--WOW--some crown apple in there." He gestured to Jeff's hoodie pocket, distended with wallets. Jeff looked down, "I really should've just taken the cash out and tossed the wallets, huh?"
Toby snickered and shrugged, "Sometimes there's guh-gift cards in there. Plus," He clapped, "I bet at least one of those has some picture of their kids. We could burn those."
Jeff laughed loudly but quickly shut up as they approached the sharp light of the warehouse door, catching the attention of a security guard standing by the door scanner. Jeff handed Toby the badge and Toby briefly glanced at it before stepping in front and scanning the badge casually.
"Hey," The guard stopped him. Toby acted surprised. "Hm?" He showed the badge to the guard, who looked at it suspiciously. "You don't look like him."
Toby lowered his mask, pretending like he was trying to hide the scar while making sure the guard got a good look at it. "Yeah, uh..." He chuckled sheepishly, "That picture was t-taken--click--before the accident."
The guard's face flushed with embarrassment. His gaze quickly darted between the picture on the card and Toby's face, which looked nothing alike. "Uh--um--uh, what's your name?"
"Beck Matthews," Toby answered.
"G-go ahead and scan again." The guard nodded Toby through. He looked at Jeff, "Where's your badge?"
"Lost it." Jeff said flatly, staring casually at the guard. His appearance sent a chill through the guard's spine and he ushered him inside as well, just wanting the interaction to end.
The warehouse was dusty to say the least. Fluorescent lights flickered ominously as they walked in, revealing shelves upon shelves of cleaning supplies, vacuum sealed stuffed animals, and enough park merchandise to clothe a small city. Toby checked his hands and tapped his pockets, looking for the ID card he'd just had. Jeff held it up. "Split up?" He asked. Toby's face softened in relief as he realized he hadn't lost it. "You get the car, I get the cat?"
Jeff nodded and looked around briefly, "They've got to have, like, a bin of the opened prizes around here. I'll be back here in a few minutes." Toby gave him a thumbs up and they slunk away in opposite directions, Jeff following the warm light of the break room doorway, and Toby disappearing into the ocean of overpriced crap.
The break room was swimming with the younger employees packing up for the night. Jeff tugged on the strings of his hoodie to hide his face more and looked around for the richest kid he could find. A girl with a full face, a boy with an uncannily neat haircut, anyone with some kind fancy jewelry. He spotted a bleach blonde girl with a fake tan and bright pink lip gloss. Jagged bump in her back pocket. Bingo. His smirk was barely noticeable between the thick scars against his lips.
He slid through the crowd of people like a snake through a field of grass and slipped his hand in and out of her back pocket, flipping the keys up into his sleeve. Immediately, she swung her head around, flicking Jeff's face with her hair. "Excuse me?!" She shouted. Jeff kept walking. The girl didn't let up. "Uh, hello? That guy just grabbed my ass!"
Jeff raised his eyebrows, offended. He knew he was better than that. He'd barely grazed her. He walked faster, knocking into a few people on his way through the crowd.
"Fuck," He muttered as a guard started to follow him. He knew he had to turn around at some point. There was only one way back to the warehouse.
Some other kid was twirling his keys around with his finger and Jeff snatched them up, just in case, before pushing his legs into a jog. The crowd parted as the guard to barrelled closer.
Jeff made a sharp turn into a bathroom. The noise of screaming girls startled everyone that wasn't already aware of what was happening as Jeff vaulted on top of one of the stalls and climbed into the ceiling tiles.
"He climbed into the ceiling!" Their screams were like music blasting through the raging sound of Jeff's heartbeat.
Toby jogged around the warehouse, looking for anything familiar. The bins had to be separated by game. He scratched his head and remembered that there were cats, which wasn't very helpful.
After a few minutes he knew he couldn't afford, he finally just guessed and dove into the nearest bin. The stuffed animals went flying from his twitching hands as he dug through it like a dog. Nothing caught his eye. Next one. Next one. The warehouse looked like Santa's toy shop by the time Toby had struck gold. That stupid cat was buried at the bottom of a pile of tiny, unwanted stuffed clowns, and Toby wasted no time before holding the cat over his head and cackling with joy like it was the newborn Christ.
He started to run off towards the back exit but was interrupted by a deafening clanging sound and a loud "Fuck! ". Jeff's body fell through the ceiling like a ragdoll and onto the top of the towering metal shelf, showering the both of them in grey dust as a ceiling tile disintegrated above them.
Toby shouted, "What the fuck happened?!"
"Fucking run!" Jeff cackled. He stood up on the shelf and started trying to climb down when he felt the steel under his feet start to shift. "Oh my fucking god!" He laughed wildly as the adrenaline shoved him forward before the shelf fell backwards. He tried to tuck and roll when he hit the ground like he'd seen on TV, and fell hard on his back as the shelves collapsed against each other like massive, expensive dominoes. His wrist slammed against the concrete as he fell. He would have screamed bloody murder if he could breathe.
Toby ran up to him. "Holy sh-shit, are you okay?!"
Jeff gasped obsessively as his lungs refused to expand. He raised his hand in a shaky thumbs up. Toby took his hand and tried to pull him up, but Jeff's face contorted in pain and he jerked it back. He held out his other hand and finally took a deep breath in. He didn't have a chance to catch his breath or cradle his broken wrist before three security guards burst into the warehouse, weapons trained on them.
"Freeze!"
They didn't. Toby shoved the nearest guard to the side as Jeff hazily followed behind him, car keys poking against him from his skinny jeans as his legs seemed to move on their own. Toby grabbed his good hand and dragged him along with the giant stuffed cat under his other arm and a massive grin across his face. "Where's the parking--FUCK--lot?!"
"What?!"
"The--" A gunshot echoed through the dimly lit alley.
"Guns?!" Jeff shouted, "Are you fucking kidding me?!"
Toby cackled, "Just keep going!"
The two ducked around a corner. Jeff pointed to a turnstile at the end of a dimly lit sidewalk. It was surrounded by dumpsters, crates, and pallets. "Employee exit!"
"Employee exit!" Toby cheered. He kept his hand around Jeff's wrist, but Jeff had come back down to earth enough to catch up with him and sprinted at his side. Toby slammed his back against the turnstile and crushed the stuffed animal in his arms to pull it through as Jeff followed, laughing the whole way. "Holy shit!"
"Holy shit!" Toby repeated as the boys laid their eyes on the employee parking lot. They stood and caught their breath in front of the beguiling sight before the voice of one guard started shouting after them. "Wait!"
"Fuck no!" Jeff stumbled forward and scrambled for the keys in his right pocket. Toby reached into his left and they compared the keys.
"What kind of car did we need, again?"
"I don't remember," Jeff admitted, "I vote the Toyota."
Toby threw his set of keys behind him as Jeff pressed a button to alert them to where the car was. A sharp left and a spin around the side by Toby later, they had launched themselves into a black SUV and were speeding away.
"Get the headlights!" Jeff shouted as he set his left hand in his lap, urging the pain to stop shooting through him like he'd just stuck a fork in a power outlet. Toby fought with his seatbelt for a moment, quickly unbuckling it to reach over and flick on the lights just as they crashed through the barrier arm at the exit.
"Fuck!" Toby cried and shot back into his seat. He threw the seatbelt back over him with inhuman speed, "Don't fucking crash us!"
"I'm not gonna crash!" Jeff shouted, his brow furrowed with focus as he swerved through the guest parking lot with one hand. People were hiding behind parked cars, yanking their children out of the way, and running like they were on fire before Jeff was able to break through the last barrier arm and drift onto the road. The real road.
They ran a red light before swerving onto the freeway and Jeff sped up only slightly to keep up with the 75 mile per hour traffic. Toby screamed through gritted teeth as he realized what had just happened, his arm gripping onto the oh-my-god bar until his fingers were purple. "Y-you s--WOW--said-d you'd--FUCK--"
"I know, I know!" Jeff shouted, his body still in panic mode and his knuckles white on the wheel, "I tried! But, look, we're on the freeway, now!"
"I h-hate the fuck--FUCK--ing freeway!"
"Just breathe, dude!" Jeff shouted anxiously, "Just breathe!"
"You--oo breathe!" Toby screamed.
"I am breathing!" Jeff screamed back.
The two sat in silence for a minute, their grips relaxing and their breathing slowing. Toby spun around to look behind them and slumped in his seat when he didn't see any cop lights, his hand still on the handle. He sighed.
"Y-you still--still want to go to the liquor--WOW--store?"
"Are you bleeding?" The subtle smell of iron hit Jeff's nose. Toby scanned over his body, then felt around on his back. He felt a wet spot and pulled his bloodied hand back into his line of sight. "Huh," He shrugged, "I g-guess I am." He paused. "Y-you still want-t to go to the liquor store?"
Jeff leaned against the wooden support on the rotting, old porch of the manor, one arm in a sling and the other holding a brand new bottle of crown apple whiskey. Toby walked out the front door with an unlit cigarette in his mouth. His shirt was off and bandages circled around his stomach; a bullet-wound-sized patch of gauze on his back. He pulled something out of his pocket. "I g-got you this."
Jeff turned around and held out his hand for Toby to place a small clown plushie in his hand. It had shaggy black hair and a long, red smile painted on its face.
"It reminded me of-ff you." Toby smiled as he sat down next to Jeff. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and held it out to Jeff as he lit his own with his other hand. Jeff looked down at the clown plushie for a moment before setting it in his lap and taking a cigarette. "Fag," He muttered, hiding the smile creeping across his face.
"You wanna blow it up, too?" Toby asked. He leaned over gently and pressed his cigarette against Jeff's, lighting his as they inhaled together. Jeff exhaled smoke and smirked, keeping the close distance. "Nah," He said, "I think I'll keep it." Toby smirked, putting his cigarette down. "Fag."
They looked into each other's eyes for a moment, taking in every detail of the other. Toby's brown eyes, Jeff's chapped lips, the careful scarring around both of their cheeks. It felt hypnotic.
"You ready?" Toby grinned suddenly. Jeff nodded excitedly. They both turned to the giant calico cat plushie on the dirt a few yards away. Toby pressed a button on his phone and it flew into the air with a muffled bang, bursting into flames as it fell. The boys hooted and hollered like apes. They ended their celebration as the plushie landed a few feet away, sizzling as the fire died down, with a crisp high five, and cackled in each other's faces. As the remains of the plushie fizzled to a black husk, they high fived one more time before their laughter died down. They smiled and looked at each other again.
"Th-that was fun," Toby giggled. Jeff turned away and puffed his cigarette, still grinning, "Worth it."
"Worth it," Toby agreed. Jeff turned the clown plush in his hand softly as the cat burned to ashes in front of them. The smell of victory--burning plastic--wafted through the air.
Toby leaned in close and quickly planted a peck on Jeff's cheek, causing Jeff to jump in his seat, "Hey, hey, woah!" He looked at Toby, the plush still clutched against his chest as he leaned away. No one but Toby would have been able to recognize the incredibly subtle color that flushed to Jeff's cheeks.
"What?" Toby laughed.
Jeff stammered for a second. "You fuckin' fag."
Toby swiped the bottle of whiskey and leaned back on the steps as he took a swig, his eyes aimed down at the pile of withered ash. They sat in comfortable silence as the fire finally died and they turned their eyes up to the stars.
"City lights or stars?" Jeff asked. Toby scooted closer. "I like the stars."
"Yeah."
Jeff gasped suddenly, "Fuck, your bike!"
"Fuck dammit!" Toby groaned, threw his head back, and took another swig. "Whatever. I stole it a-anyw-way."

Bruce's Bathtime - Batfamily Sitcom
Bruce's mistake was thinking he could have a peaceful night in the bath on his day off when his manor is full of kids who share one brain.
A/N: HELLO EVERYONE I LOVE YOU AND IM SORRY I DISAPPEARED BUT I WANTED TO WRITE SOMETHING SWEET FOR YOU TO ENJOY. THIS IS HEAVILY INSPIRED BY "BATH" BY SAM AND MICKEY ON YOUTUBE.
WORDS: 1.7K
WARNINGS: NONE. IT'S WHOLESOME AND SWEET.
MASTERLIST
——-
Crime rates were always at an all-time low in time for the Superbowl.
Which meant Batman gets a day off. Duke was the only one on patrol that night. Alfred spent half an hour convincing him not to spend the night at the cave.
“Master Bruce, the bath has been drawn and I’ve taken the liberty of using the expensive lavender bath salts so you would not like to waste it.”
“You’re right, Alfred. I’m a billionaire and I find the fifty-dollar lavender salts a waste to not use.”
“Just get in the bath, Master Wayne. Just thirty minutes of quiet shall do you good. I’ve set an alarm.”
Since when did Bruce start working for him?
He did as told anyway. Bruce closed the bathroom door and stripped off his clothes to get in the tub. There were so many callouses in his body, he barely felt just how burning the temperature was.
It was just a minute in there when the first knock woke him from drifting off.
“Bruce?”
What the hell is Dick doing out of Bludhaven? “What?”
“Is the music room haunted?”
“No.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
“I heard something inside.”
“Instruments tend to do that.”
“I did a headcount of everyone in the manor and everyone is accounted for except Duke who you sent out for patrol so I doubt it’s anyone but a ghost,” Dick said.
“Get out.”
“But I’m not even inside the bathroom.”
“Go away.”
“What if it’s not a ghost? What if it’s a spy?”
“The manor has more advanced security systems than the Pentagon, Dick.”
“That’s not a good point of comparison.”
Bruce closed his eyes and let the steam slow his rising blood pleasure.
“Just check the room. Could have been the wind.”
“I’m too scared.”
This man was almost thirty and was still giving Bruce the same amount of aneurysms as when he was eight.
“Ask Alfred to check for you.”
“Okay.”
He heard fading footsteps and let them lull him into sleep. He set his large arms onto the sides of the tub, sinking his mouth under the water.
“Father,” a voice said from out the door followed by three soft knocks by a small hand.
“What, Damian?”
“I need you to sign this letter from the school headmaster.”
“What did you do?”
“I didn’t do anything.”
He doubted that.
“It’s for a parent-teacher conference.”
Bruce let the silence answer for him until Damian gave in.
“Someone attacked me in class.”
“Damian-“
“Okay, I threw the first punch but he taunted me first about how I was small for my age but I said that I’m of perfect size for my age and that I’m simply too smart to be crowded into elementary school children when my intellect belongs to that of a senior and then he asked what I was doing here and not in 5th grade and I said what was he doing here and not in 5th grade and he spat at me and now his nose is broken and they want you to cover the medical bills.”
Christ.
“Maybe you don’t have to pay it. You can call them yourself. You’re Bruce Wayne. You can get away with anything.”
“I can, but you’re not Bruce Wayne, so you have to deal with it.”
“Can you just sign this, Father?”
“Fine.”
Damian walked in, fanning the steam off his face and covering his eyes so he wouldn’t have to see his own father naked, then handed him the letter to sign it.
“Make sure your handwriting is the same as when I forged it.”
His eyes could not have rolled further back into his skull.
The boy walked out, just two seconds before the next set of voices made him wish the gunman shot him in the head four decades ago and not just his parents.
“Bruce, could you tell Jason he’s not the only one who died and come back to life and that his robin costume doesn’t deserve to have to top display in the Batcave anymore especially since he’s here?” Tim said.
Jason’s voice was even more obnoxious. “I died first, asshole and no one else would have died if it weren’t for me so clearly, you should thank me. And my rebranding was better. You’re still technically a robin since, you know, it’s the other half of your name, so you don’t deserve to be memorialized.”
“You don’t deserve to be memorialized at all when you’re alive and not a memory. You’re not even the first robin.”
“You’re not the first anything.”
“I’m the first at a lot of things.”
“Replacement.”
“Glorified zombie.”
Bruce grabbed the cucumbers Alfred had laid out on the table next to him just so his eyes wouldn’t burst out in blood at how much he wanted to scream.
“Ask Alfred what to do,” Bruce said.
“Alfred is with Dick in the music room to look for ghosts. We need an answer now.”
“What do you even want me to do?”
“Tim threw my robin costume piled up with all their robin costumes when clearly, it should be in the display case,” Jason said. “And Tim wants to move my motorbike out of the cave.”
“You have so many motorbikes, would it hurt you to move just one?”
“No.”
“Bruce!”
Bruce counted to ten. “No.”
“No to what?”
“Everything.”
“You don’t even know what you’re saying no to.”
“I could not care any less.”
“Can we please come in?”
“No, I’m naked.”
“We’ve seen you naked.”
“Not on purpose.”
Jesus fucking Christ. “Fine. Fine. We’ll get glass cases for both of you and we’ll pretend it’s a shrine as if you’re still dead. Happy?”
“Not from dying but sure,” said Tim.
“What about the motorbikes?”
“Put it outside,” said Bruce.
“Are you sure? What if someone sees?”
“Do whatever. Throw out the T-Rex in the cave for all I care.”
“Also, I need access to the batcomputers,” Jason said.
“For what?”
“Everyone else has access except me.”
“That’s for a reason, Jason.”
“Pretty please.”
“Get out.”
It took another five minutes of the two yapping at the other side of the door before it finally quieted down.
Then his phone started ringing. Duke.
That was when his blood pressure really started to spike.
“Duke? Is everything alright? What’s wrong?” he said to the phone.
“Me?” said Duke. “Oh yeah everything’s great! Not much crime when everyone’s watching the halftime show.”
“Then why’d you call?”
“Can I use the batmobile?”
Fuck a duck. “For what?”
“The streets are empty and you said I could drive it when there isn’t traffic.”
He hung up and threw the phone into the water before Duke could say anything else.
He had five minutes of quiet this time. Then Steph was at the door. “Bruce!”
An aneurysm. One of these days, he might actually have one.
“What now?”
“Can I change rooms?”
“Why?”
“Dick said there’s a ghost in the music room and my room is like five feet away and I don’t think I can sleep there anymore.”
“You slept there last night and everything is fine.”
“Ghosts can be quiet, Bruce, it doesn’t mean they’re not there. And you’ve made a lot of enemies, so I won’t be surprised if anyone’s settled in to haunt you.”
You’d think he wasn’t in a house full of vigilantes who fight the city’s most dangerous criminals.
“I haven’t killed anyone, Stephanie. I keep all my enemies alive.”
“What if it’s not your enemy? They don’t have to hate you to haunt you. Can I please just change rooms?”
“Move wherever you want. I don’t care.”
“Can I move to the bedroom at the west wing?”
“That’s mine,” Bruce said.
“You have a bedroom? I thought you never slept.”
“Fine. Take it. Just get out.”
“Really?” Steph squealed. “The master bedroom. Sweet!”
It took less than five seconds before the next reason for his headache started pounding at the door.
“Bruce! Jason is trying to hack into the batcomputer!”
“I did not!”
“He did!”
“The World’s Greatest Detective is just mad I guessed his password on the second try.”
Bruce sank into the water, drowning their yapping until it had blurred out. He held his breath for seven minutes straight. He could die. That wouldn’t be the worst thing. Just when it was finally quiet, again, Bruce rose up and found Damian sitting on the toilet.
He continued to look unbothered even when he looked at Bruce straight in the eye.
“Do you mind?”
“I’d like to use this toilet.”
“There’s fifteen bathrooms in the manor, Damian.”
“I like this one.”
“I understand I have not spent as much time with you, but this is not what your tutors mean by father-son bonding.”
“Oh no, don’t worry. I don’t mean to bond with you. I just like this toilet.”
“Fine. Please. Take your time.”
He did take his time. Damian sat there for a whole five minutes and pulled out a book.
“I wasn’t being serious. Get out of here.”
“Relax, father. It’s your day off.”
Bruce eyelids fluttered closed and he refused to open them until his son left the bathroom.
The next knock made a blood vessel pop. “Bruce. It’s me Barb. So sorry to bother you but I found another group of conspiracy theorists on the TikTok who made a list of billionaires who have never been seen in the same room as Batman and you’re the front liner of that list. I know you told me to never engage with these things but it’s at fifty million views right now and they’re making edits of you as Batman.”
“Make more bot accounts and pin it on Elon.”
“On it,” said Barbara. “So sorry to have disturbed you!”
He’s going to have a talk with Alfred to block off the whole floor the next time he draws these baths.
“Bruce?” It was Cass. “I hope it’s alright if I take Steph’s room. I took the liberty of putting a speaker in the music room so Dick would tell everyone there was a ghost in the manor and Steph would move out.”
The alarm went off. His thirty minutes were up.
One of these days, Bruce might finally break his no-kill rule, and it won’t be for the Joker.
