daily genshin advice 12/31 - let's talk about guoba and the best 3 star weapons!

welcome everybody to the first post in my new format or whatever. I posted something about this yesterday if you're confused

Today, we'll be talking about the best 3 star weapons and a little secret about Guoba that makes him a lot stronger than you might think

┌── ⋆⋅daily advice: 3 star weapons you should definitely keep⋅⋆ ──┐

╰┈➤ thrilling tales of dragon slayers

thrilling tales of dragons slayers is honestly one of the best weapons in Genshin. Its stat is HP% which is great for quite a few supportive catalysts. And the passive is super broken, especially for something you probably have 542 of. At R5, it grants a whopping 48% attack to the next character you switch in. There are so many characters who scale off of attack and slotting this weapon onto a catalyst support is super easy

╰┈➤ harbringer of dawn

even though its base attack is quite low, it gives you 46.9% crit damage which is already a ton. But when combined with the passive that gives you 28% crit rate when over 90% HP, that's over 102.9 crit value from just a weapon. To make full use of the passive, HOD is best used in teams with shields that can help you maintain over 90% HP

╰┈➤ slingshot

at level 90, slingshot will give you 31.2% crit rate which is quite nice. At R5, the passive can give you 60% damage to a normal or charged attack. The part of its passive that decreases damage by 10% if it doesn't hit an enemy after 0.3s can seem like a massive issue but as long as you're decently close to the enemy it shouldn't be a problem. Slingshot is a great budget option on characters like Yoimiya or Tighnari and can even work on characters who don't use normal/charged attacks just for the crit rate!

┌── ⋆⋅daily tip: guoba's secret mechanic⋅⋆ ──┐

you might have noticed that before Guoba breathes fire, a small exclamation mark appears above his head. In this moment, he is actually infused with Pyro! This means that even if there is no Pyro on the enemies, AoE Anemo attacks like those from Sucrose or Kazuha can actually still swirl Pyro!

This is an important part of some teams like Childe International where Guoba's Pyro imbuement allows you to swirl both Hydro and Pyro in one attack. The Anemo character picks up Hydro from the enemy's aura and Pyro from Guoba's!

You can try this out yourself by using Guoba in an area with no grass or enemies, then using an Anemo attack that absorbs elements such as Sucrose/Kazuha's burst or even the activation of Wanderer's skill while Guoba has the exclamation mark. Even though there aren't any enemies to pick up pyro from, these abilities are still able to absorb Pyro thanks to Guoba's special mechanic!!

If you saw this post, you'll know that after randomly selecting Candace, I'm working on maining her. Yesterday I just did leylines for level up books but today I plan on grabbing some talent materials and getting her ascension mats (I think she uses the berries)

She's sitting at level 40 so there's definitely some work to be done. I hope to get her 90 by Friday but we'll see

❥﹒♡﹒☕﹒ 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 ( 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 !! )

𝟭. improve your writing skills ( ✒️ )

i feel that not everyone has the perception of how important it is to know how to write. you don't have to be a poet, nor the new emily brontë, but fluid, conscious, rich writing makes the difference. really. you could write a page without saying anything at all, but if that damn page is written good and smoothly, then you can be sure that you will get extra points. take the time to improve your writing skills, the best advice i have for doing so is reading. read as much as you can. read novels (non-fiction in this case doesn't help because the content is preferred rather than the form), read contemporary authors – you don't necessarily have to read sophocles' tragedies, but read quality stuff. expand your vocabulary, your knowledge of syntax, learn to use punctuation! and then write, tell stories, write love letters, write reviews of films, books, cultural festivals, open a blog on tumblr and write to practice, reread what you write ad nauseam, until it is perfect, until the form of your essay is pulitzer prize worthy.

𝟮. develop critical thinking ( 💭 )

if you have always studied passively by absorbing information and vomiting it onto a test sheet then you have wasted your time. taking on information is not enough, you need to know how to rework it and develop your own idea about it. especially in the arts and literature one may disagree with certain information provided by a textbook. developing critical thinking is not easy, especially due to the school system that teaches us to standardize thinking. always consult all available sources on a given topic, compare them, analyze contradictions. it might be difficult and tiring – our brain spends more energy processing two conflicting pieces of information than processing two pieces of information that agree – but it will be worth it. by practicing critical thinking and improving your argumentation skills, you will not only be able to improve in your studies, becoming able to present complex topics and make interdisciplinary connections, but also in daily life, you will become much less influenced and manipulated by external information.

𝟯. find yourself an interest ( 🌷 )

it could be anything, but find an interest that excites you and you enjoy and do research about it. watch videos, documentaries, read articles. it doesn't have to be school-related, it must be an external topic that you are passionate about and that allows you to rediscover the joy of studying and learning every time school seems to suffocate it. sometimes i'm not in the mood to study for exams, so i dedicate myself to my personal research and finally find my spark, my seek for knowledge. for example, my interest is true crime, it has always fascinated me since i was little, but yours could be wild animals, makeup, comics, ships, planes, ocean flora, literally anything. there is no constraint.

𝟰. analyze your mistakes and recognize your wrongs ( 🫒 )

there is no shame in making mistakes. everyone makes mistakes, we are human, but the real sin is getting bogged down in mistakes, refusing to acknowledge them, and continuing to make them again and again. we should be continually growing, continually discovering ourselves, both intellectually and emotionally. how many of you were the "gifted kid" when you were little and then grew up into burned out high school / uni students desperately seeking academic validation? there comes a time when talent isn't enough, you have to put in the effort, and this doesn't make you less intelligent or gifted, in fact, quite the opposite. dedicating time and attention to your personal and intellectual growth also means having to ruminate on your mistakes. it's scary, but it's the most effective way if you really want to improve. take a notebook and at the end of the day reflect on the highlights and the wrongs, what you could have done better, where you would like to push forward tomorrow, what you achieved today. did you make a mistake? first ask yourself why and then look for a way to solve the problem, make every bad moment a lesson, a brick on which to build the version of you you wanto to become tomorrow.

𝟱. don't be afraid of doing researches ( 🧃 )

the amount of fake news and misinformation online is appalling. opening any app like tiktok or instagram we are inundated with information that is often (not always, but not so rarely) inaccurate. don't be afraid to conduct your own research, if you have time to mindlessly scroll through tiktok you will also have five minutes to read an article regarding that information provided. don't know the meaning of a word? look it up before using it. not sure about a piece of information? check it before using it in your argumentation. in the age of immediate access to data we have no excuse to be superficial.

𝟲. master communication ( ♟️ )

mastering communication is essential in both personal and professional realms. it's the cornerstone of building meaningful relationships, whether it's conveying ideas effectively in academia or fostering connections in the workplace. developing strong communication skills not only enhances your ability to articulate thoughts but also empowers you to listen actively, empathize with others, and resolve conflicts constructively. ultimately, honing these skills cultivates confidence, credibility, and success in all aspects of life.

𝟳. push yourself out of your comfort zone ( 🧸 )

build your confidence. confidence is uncomfortable. don't be afraid of it. you are young, this is the right time to experiment, take risks, discover who you really are. this is the best time for you to do those things that you would otherwise never do, you don't want to regret later in life that you didn't accept that scholarship, that trip abroad, that job opportunity, because you didn't feel comfortable enough. do things that take you out of your comfort zone until everything becomes your comfort zone. go on solo dates, be a social butterfly, tell the girl at the bookstore you love her t-shirt, go to the theater alone, eat at a restaurant alone, take that trip. if it goes badly, you'll only have one funny story to tell.

𝟴. stay informed about the news (but not too much!) ( 🌍 )

this might be controversial, but: stay informed about the news, just don't overdo it. personally, i am an easily influenced person and i realized that being constantly exposed to the bad things happening in the world had drained me and made me terribly depressed. don't get me wrong, you need to be informed about what's happening in the world and in your country, just being constantly surrounded by horrible news repeated ad nauseam on TV programs is of no use. be aware.

even being so small, he's still endlessly curious and analytical; shocking, i'm sure. of course, he has his tiny notebook for notes, something you managed to put together simply for his observations. you can't count the amount of times he's asked to be picked up or have objects brought closer so he can analyze, usually in an intense, hyper focused state.

considering he's still a doctor, it will be put to use, insistent on checking your health on a regular basis. where he got his makeshift tools.. you weren't exactly sure but you never stopped him from his examinations. he is always concerned about your well-being. he gives advice, expecting you to take it, wanting to make sure you stay healthy - he wouldn't be very happy if something happened. he can often be found reminding you to drink water, eat something that actually counts as real food or get sleep. because in his opinion, you do none of the things you're supposed to.

he's not much of a fighter, but he has his own way of showing protectiveness towards you. he often warns you about things when going out, offering logical plans to keep you say. he won't say it out loud but he's aware he isn't going to be very helpful at his size but he makes up for that with logical response - even if sometimes you brush him off with an 'it's fine, i'm fine'.

pocket sized blade is still blade; his quiet, brooding nature is still ever present. he keeps a watchful eye out and prefers staying close, more often than not silently settled on your shoulder. it's like having an alert little bird. despite being so quiet, he offers a comforting weight wherever he sits, reminding you that you aren't alone.

you weren't sure how or where he got it, but you were amused to learn he had a very intricately designed sword he carries around; you never felt the need to ask. blade is always prepared to defend you, ready to jump from your pocket or shoulder. he quite agile for a little guy, reflexes sharp as ever.

blade is very much an action over words being, meaning you most likely aren't aware of how he can be. he takes it upon himself to sit guard while you sleep, either sitting by your pillow or on your nightstand; occasionally, he'll be on your windowsill. he's very loyal, always ready to step between you and whatever danger you could be facing.

chivalrous as ever, always looking out for you. he insists on always being with you, sitting, hanging on or in a pocket or bag, wanting to be available and ready if you need him. drawing his sword dramatically against things like little bugs is quite amusing.

he's going to do everything he can to be useful, even if it's just carrying little things for you. he takes his position as companion and protector very, very seriously. he can be found giving compliments and grand gestures, kneeling and attempting to kiss your fingertip since the knuckle isn't exactly an option.

pep talks seem to be a honed skill of his, offering you encouragement from your pocket. he oozes wisdom and confidence at such a small size, offering advice about your daily choices and how to handle certain things.

Great understanding of fundamentals and a good visual memory.

Has used up a lot of sketchbooks, sketching nature and surrounding with pencils in his free time.

Have different purposes use of his sketchbooks, but have a main one for daily practice. Using the sketchbook page by page, marked the date for his art section was made on the top page corner, like a diary.

Love to draw animals but still draw some people too. Family, friends, and pets are prominent themes.

Smooth line and soft, delicate shading. Neat observation and attention to detail.

Do well-planning drafts and thoughtful studying. Practice and draw more subjects for the ideal drawings he has in mind.

Lately, Damian had a heavy interest in learning the shojo manga art style. ( Try to reference/inmates Tezuka Osamu Sansei's works )

❤︎ Style of Nika ❤︎

Use markers & ball-point pens more than pencils.

Doing great on a single page of the paper, but using the sketchbook poorly. Often failing to fill the whole book. Has neat little drawings throughout the sketchbook instead, reflecting her inconsistent drawing habits.

The drawings are not in the right order in Nika's sketchbook, she opened a random page and found a blank space to draw. Marked the date for the finished art on the corner of it, if she still remembered.

Likes to draw objects, design symbols, and stylish cartoony characters. Death themes and classic weaponaryies are prominent.

Thick angular lines and light shading with pencil.

Nika rarely did the full details sketch before the lineart, and even if she did, the final lineart on top is still a different variation from the original sketch ( it bothered Nika sometimes, but Damian found her subconscious method quite interesting ). She would draft the little thumbnail art instead, this way is more helpful for her to visualize the planned drawings.

Still trying to find her style of drawing people, had tried a lot of approaches. Recently, Nika has learned a lot from Damian and soaked up his advice and tips like a sponge.

The Mind's Invisible Chains

Have you ever felt afraid of something without knowing exactly what it is? What if the fear is there, lingering, but its source remains a mystery?

Now, there's a difference between what we call 'fear' and 'anxiety.' One might also consider adding the term 'depression' into the mix. So, what's the difference? Let's explore.

First and foremost, I am no expert on these matters. What I share is simply based on what I've learned over time. I welcome corrections if you find any inaccuracies in my words.

According to research by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (2021)¹, signs of fear can manifest physically as:

- Rapid heartbeat

- Shortness of breath

- Sweating

- Trembling

- Chills

- Dry mouth

- Nausea

Additionally, the physical and psychological signs and symptoms of anxiety include:

- Feeling nervous, restless, or tense

- A sense of impending doom

- Increased heart rate

- Shortness of breath

- Sweating

- Dizziness

- Ear ringing

- Trouble concentrating

- Trouble sleeping

- Gastrointestinal (GI) distress

- Difficulty controlling worry or ruminating

- Urge to avoid anxiety-triggering situations

- Feeling insecure

As you can see, fear and anxiety share many similarities, which can make it difficult to distinguish between them.

As my psychology professor once explained, fear is being afraid of something you are certain about, while anxiety is the fear of something unknown—an unease without a clear source.

Let's have examples.

・❥・Situation 1. You are terrified because you fear the injection.

・❥・Situation 2. You planned to go to the beach today, but you worry that it might rain despite the sun shining brightly, which would mean your trip could be canceled.

In the first situation, fear is present. You're afraid of the injection, and you can clearly identify what causes your worry.

According to NAMI, our fear responses are automatic reactions.

In the second situation, anxiety is present. You’re worried about a potential event, even though it may not actually happen. For instance, on the first day of school, you might feel anxious about introducing yourself to the class, with numerous 'what if' questions arising in your mind.

According to NAMI, anxiety can be confusing for our bodies, as it may stem from past or present experiences and influence our actions. Kirk (2013)² also notes that anxiety involves worrying about potential threats that have not yet occurred, or might never occur.

Depression is indeed more complex and serious than simply feeling down. It’s important not to use the term lightly. To understand why, let’s delve into the meaning of the word.

Depression is a mental health condition characterized by persistent feelings of hopelessness, sadness, and disinterest in various aspects of life. It can impact sleep, eating habits, and daily activities. According to the CDC (2023)³, you might consider yourself depressed if these feelings persist for two weeks or more.

If you're experiencing fear, that's perfectly normal. As mentioned earlier, fear is our body's natural response to a stimulus.

Synopsis: HCs of Shidou Kirisaki treating reader like a princess (Looking after/ taking care of reader), both platonic and romantic. Word Count: 868 Genre: Hurt/Comfort Reader: GN (no pronouns mentioned), Prisoner in MILGRAM Spoilers/Warnings?: Mention of Shidou wanting to 'die'. Also not really what the request wanted it to be? (reader being treated like princess) but I tried my best to make it work with the other ideas I had while writing for this, so hopefully this isn't an issue! If it is, I'll find the time to rewrite this properly.

a/n: Omg first request hi!!! I wasn't sure what writing format you wanted so I decided to do some small HCs instead, and made the reader GN + a prisoner too ⎯ also wasn't sure if you meant platonically or romantically, so i just went with both!! And as for my opinion on Shidou ??🧐 Hmm, I do find him interesting just like the rest but I'm not too deep on knowing his character? Other than his murder and how he wants the guilty verdict. But if you're wondering if I see him as innocent, then yes I do ⎯ since theres obvious guilt he has for actions, I do believe he can be forgiven and given a second chance in life after MILGRAM... But I do wonder if he's faking it tho?? Joining MILGRAM was everyones' concern right now as they wondered how they even ended up here, and how they'll get out.

Shidou, however, seemed to be the more relaxed and composed one out of everyone here ⎯ not really saying much and keeping to himself, but he does go out of his way to make sure everyone is calm and not too anxious about the situation.

Even going as far as to do daily checkups to make sure nothing out of the ordinary is happening.

But as time flies for ... however long you've been here, Shidou began to notice how antsy you were getting. Eyeing everyone from afar and pacing around a lot when you think no one is looking ⎯ when in reality, he was always watching over you while you do this. Noting down your behavior in a little notepad he had asked Es for.

And when the time finally came where he confronted you about it, you just... Broke down in front of him. Saying it was all too much and that you were scared you'll be in here for your entire life.

Which made Shidou do his best to comfort you in a sensible, but comforting way a doctor was suppose to do, but he was having hard time grasping on what you meant. Or more so, the feeling of being afraid? Since he didn't really care about what happens to him, in fact he hopes to die here soon so he'd atone for his 'sins'. But seeing how effected you were of the situation, made him think otherwise... Only a little bit though.

Taking you by the hand, he leads you over to his cell for a private one on one session with him ⎯ to discuss more on the matter on how he could help you in any way.

However long you wanted to talk with him, he's always free to listen to your woes. Taking more notes with every session, and even noting down advices on how to make things a little better for you here.

But only just now mentioning this, he is a doctor. Just a doctor, that has no real experience in psychology whatsoever ⎯ so it's a first for him, just like you (if this is your first time having a therapy session), to talk and discuss about such heavily emotions.

And if he could, depending on the circumstances of your situation, he'd prescribe you with medication that could help you.

ೃ⁀➷ PLATONIC AND/OR ROMANTIC

But pushing all of that nonsense aside, let's talk about how he treats you like a 'princess'.

I think it'd start around the first few sessions with him, where he looks over in your direction to make sure you were doing alright.

But then later on, he'd come walking over to ask how's your day been, and if you were doing okay. Patting your head when you reply, in a praising way or in a comforting way ⎯ which ever it is you want, he'd gladly give it to you.

And oddly enough though, I do see him being the type to play with your hair?? Absentmindedly ruffling it up ⎯ or if you have long hair, he'd plait it into braids.

Being silent the whole time while he plays with it, and occasionally making small comments to fill in the silence when he thinks it's necessary to.

Another thing is linking his fingers with yours, when you're standing next to each other or sitting together while talking with the others. He'd graze his fingertips against yours ⎯ before linking them up. It's a small, silent gesture he does whenever he feels as though the conversation is getting a bit too overbearing or intense for you, or when he notices you slowly becoming uncomfortable and fidgeting a whole lot. But it's sweet nonetheless.

Shidou is also a man of few words mind you, but as mentioned earlier, he'd talk to you about your problems. And if you ever have the courage to confine in him about your murder(s)... I'd say he'd be flattered, but would be unsure on what to say after hearing about it.

Maybe opening up to you about his? Only slightly though ⎯ but not really mentioning the part where he hopes to get a guilty verdict, as to not make you worry for him.

But If you do somehow manage to find out about it though, say from someone else (for example: Kazui), Shidou really wouldn't know what to say to you if you try to convince him otherwise.

Sure, he might say something logical to counter your words towards him ⎯ but it'd feel like he's talking to a brick wall, from how persistent you are to get him to not throw away his life so easily.

But... He wouldn't really put up a fight for long. Not fully agreeing to what you say to him, but understanding how you feel after finding out about it.

It'll take some time for him to truly understand how you feel though, as he still believes he deserves to die for what he's done. But with some talks with him, and getting him to understand, perhaps he will start to change his views.

daily genshin advice 1/6 - let's talk about split-scaling and the strongbox!

Hello everybody! I was a bit out of ideas earlier but I feel very motivated to post after seeing what ya'll suggested!! So today, I'll be talking about split-scaling characters and the artifact strongbox! Let's begin

You might have noticed that some characters have multiple scalings between their abilities or sometimes multiple within each one! Today I'll be talking about why this is sometimes a problem and why it's sometimes a great thing!

Let's look at some examples

Albedo's skill scales off of DEF but his burst scales off of ATK

Dehya's burst and skill deal damage based on both her HP and her ATK

Dori's damage scales off of ATK but her healing scales off of HP

Thoma's shield scales off of HP but his damage scales off of ATK

Nahida's skill deals damage based on both her EM and her ATK

Now, why is this often bad?

Well, investing in multiple stats means none of them will be optimal. You can't max out both your HP and your ATK.

But what you can do is choose a stat. Pick 1 role that a character will occupy and invest in the stat that helps you with that. Is your Thoma a shielder or a Sub-DPS? Is Dori a healer or for off-field damage?

But, there are cases where split scaling is good

Let's look at Nahida and Alhaitham, both of whom deal damage based off of ATK and EM.

Both of these characters are Dendro and usually have an Electro character in their team. Electro allows for Spread which increases damage based on EM. Now, both Nahida and Alhaitham prefer building EM.

So, why is split scaling good in this case? Because both stats increase their damage, having a secondary stat they scale off of (attack) just acts as an extra bonus! Unlike DEF or HP rolls, ATK rolls on these characters are actually helpful even if they aren't the main stat being built

In path 3.0 the strongbox got a MASSIVE buff. It went from having 4 sets to having 14! And in 4.0, it got 8 new sets! The strongbox is great because it allows you to basically farm 3 sets at once. 2 from whatever domain you're in and a third from foddering your bad pieces! In my opinion, the current strongbox system really complements the path Genshin has taken with its artifact farming

In the past 2 and kinda 3 regions, we've seen "main domains" with sets that almost every character from that region wants and then a few extra domains for more niche sets. This new pattern means that you can farm the main set for a region and then strongbox for any other set you want

I think the artifacts that best fit this system are:

Husk of Opulent Dreams

Ocean-Hued Clam

Vermillion Hereafter

Echoes of an Offering

These fit the strongbox the best imo because they are rather niche so its a bit of a waste of resin to famr them, especially if the other set is useless for your account

with that out of the way, let's talk about the best sets to strongbox!!

╰┈➤ Emblem. Emblem is just an insanely broken set that a TON of characters use. Off the top of my head, I can think of 5 different characters who use it

╰┈➤ Tenacity of the Millileth. One of my favorite sets so I'm a bit biased. Tenacity is just so nice to have around because a few characters like it and its not that good to farm. It's living in a domain with bloodstained chivalry which like, nobody uses off the top of my head

╰┈➤ Viridescent Venerer. A set that literally every Anemo support uses. Not great to farm because it's with Maiden but definitely strongbox for a set or two if you don't have one!

╰┈➤ Noblesse Oblige. One of the OG strongbox sets but so so many characters can run it. Noblesse turns anybody into a support

╰┈➤ Honorable mention: Thundering Fury. Previously a pretty bad set but after dendro became quite strong! Not that good to farm because the set it comes with, thundersoother isn't used by anyone anymore

i personally am all in favor of the idea of being able to ask you admins for advice! i think it's a cute idea, and it kind of reminds me of those old school concepts of being able to send in a message / letter to a newspaper or teenage magazine to ask for advice on everything in life. since it is very much possible that you admins have more 'insider' knowledge and / or data on the krp community, i'd definitely say go for it, BUT! only if you admins are comfortable with it and up for it.

on another note, i just wanna say that i find it really disheartening that people are upset with you guys not posting regularly. like, come on guys (not you admins, but everyone else). tumblr is basically a free to use platform, and from my knowledge, the admin team runs this blog because they want to provide a safe space for everyone to voice their opinions (even if it's a 'tea blog'). BUT IN THE END, REAL LIFE COMES FIRST!! the admins aren't paid to run this blog ?? they do this on their own free will. this is a hobby they do because they want to (admins, you are free to correct me on all of my assumptions if i am wrong), so the least everyone here can do is respect the fact that they are NOT obligated to post your submissions or post on the daily. show some humanity without finding it 'suspicious' or being with 'an agenda against someone else', seriously??! in the end, this blog AND the rp community in every way and form, should be treated as a hobby for you to relax with during your down time, and if you are not able to distance yourself from it and understand that the admins may not always have time to be online and post your submissions, you seriously need to reconsider what you're doing in this community. trust me! i have been in a place where the rpc took up so much of my time, attention and mental health, that when things turned sour, because i didn't know at the time how to distance myself? it seriously affected my real life to a point my surroundings noticed it and were worried about me. it's not healthy to be so consumed with what is supposed to be a hobby (fyi. i am in a much better place today so don't come for me on something that happened to me 5+ years ago).

my point is: admins, you're doing an amazing job. continue doing what YOU feel is right for YOUR SAKE, as long as YOU are comfortable and enjoying doing this.

Cuddles with heeseung is a daily routine. He’s the type of person who loves to feel the heat of your bodies pressed together and dip in eachother’s comforting warmth. Usually, he loves to wrap you up in his arms on the comfy couch of your living room-when you’re watching a movie or listening to a song. He places your head on his chest so you can hear the soft thuds of his beating heart, and wraps his arms around your waist,nuzzling his chin with your fluffy hair. Hee talks about the mundane things of his daily life with you, sometimes though he tickles you and jokes to make you laugh-the sound of your giggles that are his serotonin boost. Although jay is someone who lives for cuddling you, he won’t voice it out that frequently. He uses body language to depict his need and love for you. Jay will come randomly and immerse you in a back hug, resting his chin on your shoulder and softly planting a peck on your jawline and cheek. When you hear his tired breathing below your ear and the gentle way he brushes his nose with your neck, you know he wants to cuddle you. And like that, there you go. When you smile and turn to him, he is quick to kiss you on the lips and carry you to your room princess style. He’s very thoughtful and puts your comfort first so expect him to guard the whole place with pillows and prepare the blanket to ensure your warmth. Sunghoon is a fan of cuddling you and his actions make it evident. He doesn’t have to speak, he doesn’t have to ask, from the way he lightly tugs at your sleeve and looks at you expectantly, it’s clear that he wants to snuggle with you. He loves spooning- he’s fond of being both the big spoon and the small spoon; anything is okay as long as he can feel you the closest to him and hear your heartbeat. The low-key romantic boyfriend. What I mean by that is jungwon will really love you a lot and crave for your affection/attention but won’t EVER let it show even in the slightest. Even if you poke him to admit it or even threaten to kill him, he’s dead composed. So cuddles are something he wants sm but he will use his own tricks to get them. Like, pretending to be asleep and turning over to hold you like that so you think he’s doing it in his sleep thinking of you as his pillow. But boy does that completely willingly haha. (How cute) he holds you in a way that’s both tight and gentle- gentle enough to not suffocate you but tight enough to not let you escape his grip either. ✦ bang chan

• side track abit, to me, i have always thought that bang chan is a total husband material. He is always so respectful towards people regardless of their genders, especially being a gentleman towards females. one impression i had of him was when he was watching AOTM ryujin’s dance in his vlive and he turned away politely when he saw her twerking, in my mind i was like “wow this guy, have my respect.”

• so, i feel that bang chan is not the kind that will say sweet nothings, but more of lots of affirmation, encouraging words towards you. like he will say things like “hey, you know what i like about you? you are so great at (whatever strengths you possess)… so don’t ever doubt yourself okay? you always have my back and i love you” -> whatever he say, he does, he shows his love always has a meaning behind it. He don’t just surfacely tell you “oh i like/love you so much” “you are so cute” “you are so lovely” but rather someone who will indulge himself to search for that inner beauty that attracted him, and possibly give you confidence to enhance them and become a better person.

• other than that, i feel he is someone who will buy things that reminds him of you wherever he go. He will ensure the item he bought is something meaningful. Let’s say you like to play the guitar, he would buy a good quality guitar pick and say “hey this reminded me of you, wanna buy for you so whenever you play the guitar you will think of me and know that im always around you, supporting you mentally.” Also, he will cook you good food or food you wish to eat that day. “no problem, i’ll make sure to place the delicious food infront of you once you come back, have a great day babe,” then he will give you a quick peck on your lips before you leave for work/school.

• all in all, he will be that matured man who already acts like a husband even before marriage — making sure you are doing great in general, quick to detect if something is wrong with you and check in. then he will listen, advice, encourage you when you are down, as well as giving you hugs and kisses when you share joy, remember details of yours and take care of most of the things and all you need to do is to be a happy s/o that he wants you to be. • minho is not as expressive as bang chan, or i would say one of the most quiet member in skz. He definitely won’t say sweet words, but you know the moment he say stuff like “do you know i really like you alot?” “i love you” “i can’t live without you”, he really really mean it. It will be rare of him to say such words, so i feel he will only say them when he feels emotional, or touched when he sees you doing something that touches his soft spot, or when he faces some difficulties and his mind can only think about you.

• it is known that he is more awkward or shy in nature, so he will express his love from all the tiny details that often occur in daily lives. Simple things like: packing your wardrobe, replenish stocks for home, preparing meals, cleaning the house, buying the food or things you like etc. Although he isn’t someone good at expressing love via his mouth, his action shows it all. “minho, you remembered the skin care i used?! so impressive!” you noticed your skincare got replenished right after you finished using yours this morning. Looking at him with gratitude emitting from your eyes, he would scrape the nape of his neck, smile lightly and brush it off saying “it’s nothing, hope you use it well” then he will walk off with redden cheeks.

• moreover, he would initiate physical contacts like holding onto your hands whenever you guys go out, making sure you walk on the inner side of the road and putting his hand around your waist when the place is filled with people. Although he doesn’t say much, he would use his actions to protect you at all costs. i feel he got the ‘knight’ vibe, the one who has the duty to keep the love of his life safe. “be careful!” he would pull you quickly by his side when the bicycle almost knocked onto you, later breathing heavily because he was scared you will be injured and his heart will ache. Checking you from head to toe and front to back, he will heave a sigh of relief as he retrieve your hands into his still trembling one. “Hey minho, it’s okay, im fine now alright?” he will nod, but still slightly frowning his eyebrows when that incident stamp in his mind and blame himself for not being observant enough.

• in conclusion, minho is a reserve but action speak louder than words person. He doesn’t talk well, but his gaze, his facial expressions, his actions will show his love towards you. Always keeping a lookout of you, furrowing eyebrows when he sees you almost hurting yourself, always sticking by your side to make sure you are safe and doing all the minor things and some ways he show his ultimate concern and love for you. Man with less words but prompt in actions is a keeper.

✦ changbin

• well for changbin, i feel that he is quite a scary yet funny person. contradicting am i? but yes i feel he has that intimidating exterior (i feel most of you can resonate like yo this scary rapper) but he is such a softie and when he does aegyo, that’s the end of our lives 🥲. my initial thought was, “changbin doesn’t look like the kind who will express much because he always has that scary vibe, he probably will be the more aggressive kind”.

• but nope, no more. Him expressing love will be more via his words. “jagiya, i hope you have a nice day today, love you muaks” that kind of messages to be sent to you everyday, without fail at 9am, and then “jagiya, tired today? dwaekki will shower you with lots lots love, then you won’t feel tired anymore. sleep tight my dear~” at 12am. When he typed those words, he will try his best to not show his smile by plastering a poker face until someone else say “changbin, we all know your heart is blossoming, stop acting” and then he will immediately throw that cool image behind his head. He will verbally tell you how precious you are while putting that poker face, later smiling ear to ear and saying “of course i wouldn’t black face you, how could i do that do my precious baby?”

• that contrast, tsk tsk. He seem like the kind that will only show his warm, soft, bubbly, crazy side of his to you. Everybody else will know the machine gun rapper changbin but you will know the soft dwaekki besides his usual image. He will often do aegyos infront of you, especially when you are angry at him. “Im sowwy babe, please forgive me, pretty pleasee?” then he will show this kind of face 🥺. after you accepted that apology, he will turn his back to normal and cheer “yes, i made y/n happy, i did it”

• he will be childish infront of you, for sure. sometimes you will feel confused when he jumps from the 2 extreme images, but it also your privilege to see that. he isn’t the type who is easily pushover, so if you are one of the rare that can see that side of him, you know that he trusts you with all his heart and you will love that vulnerable side as well. His way of expressing is through his words, but the most important thing behind those words is him exposing all of himself infront of you, being fully transparent because he loves you and he knows you will embrace him other than the seo changbin, 4th gen rapper king that public knows.

✦ hyunjin

• hyunjin is a boy with a very soft heart and some insecurities in him. No matter how much his loved ones or fans affirm his visual and talent, he will still take it with a humble heart or even deny them because he feels like ‘he doesn’t deserve it’ when he does! He laughs openly which is very healing and im sure he will do that alot infront of you, where he can just be who he is. The dark side, he can be someone who is possessive (in a good way).

• there are a few ways he would express his love: 1. through sharing his worries and concerns with you. somewhat similar to changbin, but i feel he will breakdown when he does so. Prolong accumulating his emotions in his heart, he will show all of them infront of you in a private space. When you listen and comfort him, he will say things like “oh my gosh y/n, i really don’t know what to do without you” “you are my life saviour y/n” “i can’t breathe without you by my side” etc. 2. he will express via his artwork. People who like art will usually pour their feelings and thoughts on drawings or paintings, likewise for him. Having you constantly in his mind, he will draw portraits of you or other things that relates to you and compile them in a folder.

• sometimes he will go like “hey jagi, can you be my muse for my next piece of artwork?” then you will be like “yea sure of course!” then both of you will spent half a day together trying to get his work done. 3. cuddling. I won’t go into detail cuz i may want to keep it for other headcanons, but i feel he will cuddle you alot in the nights and whisper how much he appreciates and loves you before drifting to dreamland — “ah, feels so good having you in my arms every night” “you are so warm!” “my personal pillow muaks” etc

• a loud boy, loud loud boy. Not afraid to express how much he loves you infront of people he is close to, but a shy baby infront of others. He seem like the kind that will keep asking you questions “is my baby feeling okay today?” “did you miss me today?” “did you eat good food today?” etc. Always making a habit to check in with you frequently.

• he won’t hesitate to blabber all the good traits about you, flexing about how wonderful you are and grateful to have you as an s/o. he also seem like someone who will call you often even though he has nothing to say. He just enjoy your existence on the other end of the call and it soothes him. He will also share many good things about you with his family, flashing triumph smile because he feels proud to have you.

Whereas infront of you, he likes to have playful physical contacts — ruffling your head, puffing your cheeks, playing with your fingers etc. Playful and loud boy but his heart is always loyal towards you.

• felix is like bang chan but not bang chan (wtf am i talking about haha) like both of them are the most expressive ones among the others, so he probably will like pda to show his love towards you. Not excessively, but doesn’t mind or unconciously shows them in the public. Like he will just go kissing you in the middle of the street because he feels like it and then you will hit his arm playfully and say “people are watching” then he be “i don’t care!”

• first thing that come to my mind is he will bake all the delicious cookies or brownies for you in random times. Like he would probably give others on special occasions, but he will be the one specially baking for you when he feels like it/receives new inspiration from a youtube video that shares new baking recipes. “Babe! I baked something new today, it turned out well! You are the first one to try them!” Then he will skip over to your side, handing you a delicate bowl with cookies inside that are made with love. • I feel he will be the kind that always first think of you, above anyone. Like you are always at the tip of his heart and everything he does will be related to you. People will go like “felix, why are you doing this?” then he will be “oh because y/n likes this” “oh because i heard y/n mentioned it before and i think i can try them out” “i want to make y/n happy” etc. Whenever he meets you, he will crash himself into your arms and rub his nose against the crook of your neck, bear hugging you and say “i miss you” even though he just met you the previous day.

• basically, he will be the more expressive kind but not as matured as bang chan. He won’t have a second thought to say or show his love while making sure you receive it well from his gaze and smile. His smile is very heartwarming, and im sure he will do that alot to make you feel how much he adores you. “oh damn i love you” maybe a common sentence he will say when you do the slightest thing that helps him out.

• quiet, shy, calm boy. Other than minho, he would be another least expressive boy. But for you, he is willing to take the first step out of his comfort zone to express his love. Nothing exaggerating, just very casual things or words that are enough for you to experience his love. His eyes, or his gaze, will speak a thousand words. “seungmin! i love you so much!” you will be the one who say more of those then he will cringe internally, but later saying “i love you” when you fall asleep.

• i wouldn’t be surprise if he say he doesn’t know how to express them. When it comes to love, he probably will be flustered on how he can express them correctly so that you know he really loves you. “kin seungmin, do you really love me?” sometimes you will throw this question at him because you feel that he has been very neutral around you, even though his palpitating heart says otherwise that you are oblivous to it. he will then take your hand and place over his heart, saying “can you hear it?” then you will go surprised and blushing because his palm is burning and heartbeating insanely.

• seem like the kind that will nag you out of love and concern. “y/n, remember to bring your report tomorrow” “i’ve placed them on the table” “remember to bring your scripts” etc. he will be that naggy but lovely boyfriend who takes good care of you even though he rarely says “i love you”. He probably will enjoy spending time with you on the sofa playing games together, hands over your shoulders while you put your head on his shoulders.

• anyways, he is a guy that is not very good at expressing but will try his very best to show that he loves you or even more than how you love him. Although he doesn’t say it, but somehow his tiny gestures will make you feel like “wow, he actually cares and loves me that much.” some people may not like this type of guy but i feel this type of guy will be the most genuine and traditional kind of boy that expresses his love.

• lastly our baby bread. tbh initially i feel like jeongin is the kind that really knows how to express himself and cheer others up. That maknae that always want his hyungs to get along well, the maknae that receives love from his 7 hyungs. Until i watched 2 kids room yesterday (him x minho), then i realised both of them are actually not that great in expressing, although he portrays like he is good at it.

• the first thing that pops into my mind is, he will frequently joke around saying “i love you jagi” and show you a heart sign before he runs away (to idk where) because he wants you to chase after him. He will bring alot of positivity and laughters into your life. So if you are someone who is usually pessimistic, you will find the horizon with him. His smile is so bright and even though he is not my bias, i will eventually smile when i see him. “Babe, don’t be sad, things will be alright okay? You’ve got me! I’ll bring all your worries away!” Then he will circulate his arms around you, shaking your slouched body abit while facing the sunset.

• he loves taking pictures, be it himself or for others. Another prominent way will be taking many many pictures of you, or selcas with him. His way of expressing is to share all the different pictures he took, commenting on how mesmerising you look and he wants to make a collage with all of you or both memories together. He will probably give it to you on your birthday or anniversary, so sweet am i right?

• Thus, i would say that he is an innocent, cheerful boy that spreads positivity around people, especially more with you. He will bring you to amusement parks, aquariums, museums and cafes while both dressing like college couples, swinging your hands with his down the street and laughters filled the air. His eyes will be sparkly whenever he sees you, hugging you at the end of the day for a good 10mins before saying “goodnight my dear, i hope you had fun today, please stay happy.” If you enjoy high school/college vibe of dating, he will the most ideal kind of boy to date.
