Calming down Alucard during a breakdown. Having him comfortably snuggled against reader's chest while a warm quilt cover them both, and she just rubs his back and lets him cry on her :(((((
𝐈 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔.
› ..a lovers comfort. — I LOVE YOU SM TYSM FOR THIS!! also so sorry its so short anon </3
Perhaps your touch was not enough to calm him, but you held him nonetheless. Your arms cradled his head to your chest, chin upon his head as a heavy quilt lay upon your bodies. He was cold, terribly so, but the heat of your supple flesh gave him comfort.
His tears stained your nightgown, seeping through to your breast. His arms held you tight, wrapped around your waist as his shoulders shook. A hand was entangled in his hair, the back of his head cradled by your palm. Your other hand rest between his scapulas, rubbing a soft, tender touch into his skin.
“Shhh.” You murmured, pressing a long kiss to his crown.
The weather weeped with him, rain pelting on the windows of the castle, thunder booming to echo his soft gasps. The sky lit a few times, illuminating a stormy blue sky. You knew he would apologize a thousand times the next morrow, asking for forgiveness that he did not need. He was a silly, silly man sometimes. He asked for your pardons of silly things, apologizing for ruining your nightdress with his tears, apologizing for his vulnerabilities.
But none of that made you hate him. None of that made you love him any less.
When he craved your comfort, you gave it to him. When he needed your touch, you gave it to him. When he wanted anything, you were there to offer it to him. For a thousand years he could be selfish, asking for your undivided attention, for your constant comfort, for your tender touches; and you would deliver. No words were needed to comfort his tears, only your warm, soft touches. Through his cooler temperature, your fingers sent heaps of warmth through his body, full of a lovers comfort.
Because I'm a wordy, purple-prose kinda bish, I thought about what each Unique Magic might actually feel like on the body (at least the ones that affect other mages when cast). (SPOILERS FOR BOOKS 5 ONWARD)
(CW: Loss of motor function, scopophobia, senses being messed with, forceful sleep)
Off With Your Head:
The moment it slaps around your neck and shoulders, there's that deafening rush of blood to one's ears. If you and your magic were lightning, the collar just became your glass bottle. Outside of the momentary dulling of senses, one may have a general difficulty breathing, either from the collar fitting itself or the lack of support without one's magic. Lightheadedness and an internal hollowness make the collar leave you feeling like after a flu.
Bet the Limit:
His magic literally amplifies and pushes back your magic, but to do that he has to rip control of it from you. Bet the Limit gives one that jerking tug on the shoulders, a jab of pain that burns into your neck almost. Sometimes if one resists or tries to wrench control back, they're left feeling like their shoulders have been dislocated. They haven't of course, but the feeling is still enough to keep one from moving them for a while.
Doodle Suit:
There's a metallic, fruity Sichuan peppercorn-like numbing on the senses before it's replaced with what he decides. Pretty straightforward.
(Legit tho: I think his is kinda scary in terms of utility. The possibilities o_o )
King's Roar:
Burning. King's roar doesn't have fire but there's still a dry burn. Rug or rope burn, an allergic reaction, or being splashed with hydrogen peroxide, it all makes the nerves curl away like shriveling plants. Skin on downwards begins flaking like baked mud, falling off into sand like chunks of slate.
Laugh With Me:
Laugh With Me at first feels like the pinch of nerves. But pulling against the bindings is like hyena teeth biting and yanking your muscle and bones; you're not in control. That tugging hurts much less, more of a firm mouthing on your body in whatever direction he wants.
It's A Deal:
Much like his flattering words, his magic leaves one feeling glittery. But there's a cold tentacle-like grip on the heart for a quick moment; a reminder of what lies in the undertow. It's not a memorable sensation, but memorable enough to know what happens when it returns upon failing to fulfill your end of a contract. The resulting Anemone doesn't feel like much until one touches it, like a large zit.)
Shock the Heart:
The sudden wash over you feels like the splash of cold water after getting dumped out of a boat. Pharyngeal jaws scrape and tug on your tongue to reel you in, truth dripping off of you like seawater.
(Truth is a lot of times subjective so why nerf it further? HC he can use it multiple times but lies cause it works on those unaware)
Oasis Maker:
Rain that's always the perfect refreshing temperature. Never frigid but never feeling hot. A relaxing shower of jasmine and chai, without the stifling steam
Snake Whisper:
A burning cobra bite to the skull. It's venom sears every wrinkle in the brain as you feel yourself get pulled along by the collar of proverbial tail coiled around your neck. Resistance feels like hot sand filling your brain cavity. Eventually the oppressive weight of said sand makes one submit.
Sleep Kiss:
Sleep Kiss seems pretty straightforward. It probably feels like sitting in a soundproof glass box, with cold air filtered in. Every chilly inhale acts like anesthesia, or the tug of exhaustion by hypothermia.
Fae of Maleficence:
His 'Blessing' feels like being laid into a patch of semi-prickly twigs; a dragon's nest or roost. It hurts slightly, but the diligence is paid to lay you gently in so they don't prick. Eventually you can somewhat relax, but adjusting or moving reminds one of the thorny poking all around you. It just becomes preferable to sit still, rather than try waking or even attempt at getting comfortable.
Meet in a Dream:
Many mistake Silver to have soft hair, but the only downy lightness about him, I think, is Meet in a Dream. Whatever sensations one feels when dreaming of flying, that fills you to buoyancy as he leads you along the Dream Corridor.
Hey hello. Consider. Hobie reading over and suggesting edits to drafts of Peter's writing and then going home visually with clippings and quotes from said writing as a part of him. Alternately, Peter takes inspiration from quotes visible on Hobie

below the cut contains more abt this version of yu :)
Jinyu "Jin" Wei
A version of Yu who lived the same life and transmigrated to Twisted Wonderland under the same circumstances. However, thanks to external, game-like factors, he woke up with the ability to use magic and is consequently a Night Raven College student.
Jin’s signature spell, Wish Taker, makes use of blood—whether his own or another’s—and converts it into magical power. This unique trait has earned him the unflattering nickname of “the vampire,” or “the vampire prefect.”
Hello! I think your Carmilla writing was really nice and was wondering if you could do a request for Alucard, where the reader was also there to help beat his father but stayed behind with him for support etc., a soft romantic relationship would be lovely.
Thank you and don't feel pressured to write this.
𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄.
› ..tender moments with your beloved. — sorry this took so long! but here it is. written with fem reader in mind, but written as gn. lmk if i missed anything/used gendered terms for reader!
“It’s late.”
“Vampires don’t need to sleep.” His voice was quiet. Soft. The fire roared beside him, but your night clothes were thin, and even with the flames you shivered.
“You are not a full vampire,” you stated. “You can enjoy the simple luxuries that sleep offers. Come to bed.”
Your final words came close to a plea, a beg, to which he sighed at. He could not refuse such a simple offer, especially not from you as you stood in the doorway, arms crossed as you watched him carefully. He would not hurt you, you knew this, but you watched him. You watched his slight movements and twitches, watched his chest rise and fall with shallow breaths. God, he was perfect. Even in the tranquil time of twelve o’clock with dishevelled hair and tired eyes, he was perfect.
He was silent for a while, wood crackling to fill the void.
“Okay,” he said, and he stood. The book in his pale hands shut, and his gaze lingered on the fireplace before he turned to you. His frame was illuminated in an orange light, twinkled with gold that pronounced his blond hair, and his features.
A smile played at your lips, corners twitching up as you moved towards him, taking his pale hands in yours. They were cold, or colder than most. But they were still steady, and you held them with a familiar touch. Your thumbs swiped across the back of his hands, caressing the pale skin as your eyes darted up to his. “Good.” You said, smiling. “Come, the bed had gotten cold. I will need someone to warm me,” you joked, and he let out a breath. A soft smile, different to your coy grin made its way to his face before he shook his head at you.
“Ah, I see.” Adrian mused. “You only wish for me to be a bedwarmer. How hurt am I.” You chuckled at his words, laugh quiet. Your shoulders shook slightly, and your grin grew.
“Precisely. Now come, my love. Join me.” And he did, leaving the hearth of the fire and into a cold, cold bed waiting minute by minute to be warmed by two lovesick idiots.
i have so much beef wuth sectumsempra. it's a failed plot device that contradicts itself and was clearly joanne's half assed attempt to keep the 'snape was on a bad path' plot that was so significant it doesn't even appear in 'the prince's tale.' did she forget lol
taz balance au where everything is the same except they incorporate the my little pony “dear princess celestia” bit. end of every mission they write a little letter that says “dear madam director. we obtained the grand relic and only killed 6 people during the process. we grew closer as friends”
looking at the Mirror Chamber very intently. come with me for a sec. Take My Hand.
First thing catching my eye are the windowpanes. They're pretty busy in general, but those thorny curls…suspicious. As is how the overall flow of the panes seems to resemble an inverted form of the design Draconimom's appearance is built around (which is itself based on Maleficent's general character design).
But u know what really gets me? These aren't the only windows with distinctly thorn-like windowpanes. For some reason, the uppermost windows in the normal classrooms (like in Trein's magic history lessons) have a thorny design too. NO clue if there's any relation there, but it feels too overt to brush off, y'know?
Next up: the rose arches over the windows. If you look closely at Draconimom's lace cape-thing, you'll notice the roses worked into its pattern (sorta in the 'ear' area of the pattern)– and one of masquerade Malleus' home screen lines has him saying how fond he is of the rose embellishments on his outfit. It's a bit of a stretch, but considering the extreme similarities between Draconimom and our dear buddy Hornton, I'd be willing to bet that roses are A Specific Thing for them. (Plus there's the obvious thorns –> roses connection, and how Draconimom's staff is a giant flower, AND it provides a convenient visual tie-in to the first dorm/major boss we encounter in the main story…)
Now for the chandelier. Pretty messy-looking for such a fancy chamber, yeah? But with such a distinctive floral pattern to it…and to the lace it seems to be wrapped in. The main focus of the lace seems to be that sorta three-leaf pattern in it, the shape of which is reflected in the bud-like decoration dangling down from the center.
I know I'm making the lace of Draconimom's cape-thing do some heavy lifting in this analysis, but that sorta three-leaf/bud-like shape does appear in it. More noticeable, though, would be how the dangling bud seems to resemble the central decor of Draconimom's heavy belt– just without the sword.
Less relevant, but the presence of chains on the chandelier give me pause. Symbolically, chains are used to represent containment or (a negative sense of) security. I've joked about Draconimom being in the Dark Mirror, but that chains would be placed so nearby…it makes me wonder. Is the person in the mirror being actively restrained or otherwise held by force, as opposed to passively being trapped?
Also, if you look closely…at the top of the chandelier's lace, nearly hidden in the gloom, appears to be the image of a rose.
Moving along, the bottom of the chandelier looks quite similar to the construction of the botanical garden, just inverted. The four large beams visible in our view of the botanical garden also have a very…pointy quality about them, thanks to the spear pillars acting at their supports. You could say they look almost like thorned vines.
Looking from the campus map view shows that those large beams fully encircle the building, just as the decorative lines on the chandelier presumably encircle it. In addition, we can also see that the Hall of Mirrors has a somewhat similar construction. (Not using the outer view of the HoM from the official manga bc idk how much artistic leeway the manga artists are allowed.)
The circles on the coffin lids alternate between being bright green or glowing cyan, depending on whether or not you're summoning cards. It could be that the green is their default "inactive" state, and the cyan glow is caused by them being "active" during the summoning sequence? Seven ("active") coffins appear during the summoning cutscene, which is all but assuredly in reference to the fact you can usually only summon from the 7 available dorms. (The 12 "inactive" coffins seen during the normal view of the Mirror Chamber don't appear to correlate to anything in specific.)
The lamps lining the Mirror Chamber each have seven lights on them, which could also be a subtle nod at the 7 dorms – it's a bit of an odd design for a lamp, otherwise. All of them together gives me the impression of a grove of saplings.
last but not least, this is slightly off-topic but WHAT is up with that fountain. why's it got the nastiest lookin water known to man. when was that thing last cleaned. looks bad looks rancid. still feel compelled to take a lil sip tho
Decided to try also offering this as something to describe my OC's magical effects as it pertains to the body.
(CW: infrasound, mentions of vertigo, implied loss of consciousness)
Step in Time:
His is reminiscent of two strong fans trying to push you in opposing directions, trying to blow you into both the past and future, making walking difficult at first. A hint of the scent of ozone. To see him move in the dilation would be to see him covered in an iridescent film
Fathoms Below:
It's the thrum of bass in the body, something that can be felt syncing with your heart, shaking your muscles, or making your eyes vibrate. The hums you can't hear can't be felt either, but you get this inexplicable feeling of dread or nausea. It's not a very ‘abstract’ bit of prose, so much as a description of infrasound.
Recuérdame:
That fleeting feeling as one's dreams start to slip away, but in reverse. A bit of autonomous sensory meridian response from the music shudders down your head and back, with a general orange and licorice sense on the nose and tongue.
Silver Mist:
Symptoms of vertigo set in. Dizziness and extreme fatigue send you off kilter with a yawn. Tunnel vision, hyperfocus on one spot, and a weird mix of boredom and curiosity arrest your attention. The Blue Green, Yellow send mixed signals but still beckon you to keep up. Your Attention stays caught until fatigue finally overtakes.
King of the Jungle:
Similar to Tidus, except it's just the lungs and heart that rattle as a wave of fear overtakes. It's the way it makes your hairs stand at attention in preparation to bolt.
