Aizetsu during coitus - Pt. 2
Okay. Okay. I know I said he doesn't ever top, but...
That was a lie! Forget everything I ever said.
On the occasions in which he does top, he's... Exceptionally convincing.
When you're with him you can never do quickies because whenever you do he ends up making them not-so-quick.
And you know that. But you still let him hit it anyway.
“Please? 'Ll be quick.. I need to be inside you right now... You'll let me, right?”
Yes. Always.
He's the easiest on you, of all four clones.
His favorite is the mating press. That way, he's as close to you as possible.
He'll call you all different sorts of pretty names. “Pretty slayer” if you're a slayer, “Dove,” “pretty thing,” and if he's really feeling flowery, he'll outright call you “love.”
This man is the ultimate sweet talker 9000.
He'll compliment you, get you feeling real good about yourself...
Then fuck you stupid.
Dont get me wrong, when he fucks, he fucks. But he never ceases his whimpers and groans. It's as if no matter what, you always have a grip on him.
And when he gets intense, that's how you know he's about to cum.
His claws sink into your shoulders, sometimes enough to draw blood
Usually he'll kiss you real hard—he loves your lips a lot.
Apologizes for ravishing you so. Mutters things like “M'sorry pretty thing... You just feel so good— am I making you feel good? Please, tell me I am. I need to hear it.”
Then when his passion spills out in strings of liquid white, he'll be the one to attend to you like crazy.
“Love.. do you need water? Are you hungry? There's a bath waiting for you in the next room.”
He'll run around to and fro, getting you everything you need like you'll die if he doesn't.
Then when all is said and done, he'll hold you in his arms for as long as the other clones allow him to.
As long as you allow him to.

Spill out your Quiet One Au Jesse Thoughts now
Reffing to this in case anyone is like whuuuuut
SO when the Great Devourer first starts wreaking havoc at the rally, Harumi manages to convince the Fuchsia Ninja to assist her before they all can see the snake heading for the hospital
Antonia runs to the beach for safety with the rest of the evacutees, Fuchsia follows Harumi, and none of them meet Lady Iron Dragon for a very important pep talk
Fuchsia and Rumi make it there just in time to call for an organized evacuation, with Harumi and her parents getting out nice and safely, while Fuchsia takes it upon himself to get the rest of the inhabitants out of the apartment building
But while doing that, The GD (having already destroyed the hospital) loops around to the east side and sets its sights on the buildings. This drives the crowd into a frenzied panic, with Jesse getting caught up in it, and he winds up herded into The Elevator against his will
Elevator drops and shatters, Jesse is the one that winds up with the face scar, and Lloyd winds up pulling himself from the rubble instead. Despite the injury, Jesse's still present to assist in officially taking down the GD...
...but then upon returning to his family, discovers Miranda's ultimate fate due to the destruction of the hospital (wherein which she wasn't evacuated in time because Jesse wasn't there), which, y'know, breaks him
During the following guilt-induced Outburst (which freaks out his already grieving family who know nothing about his powers), Jesse manages to redirect all his self-blame unto Lloyd instead, as none of this would've happened if he hadn't released the snakes, yadda, blablabla, nothing new there. (But, it's all mainly to stop him from blaming himself)
Winds up running away from home because a) can't handle the guilt and b) can't control his Outbursts anymore
Harumi, meanwhile, is doing great! Remains the same girl she'd been throughout S1, keeps her parents, doesn't get tangled in her uncle's web, and doesn't ultimately feel betrayed by each and every one of her friends!
Jesse, meanwhile, seemingly vanishes off the face of the earth, with everyone in the friend group worried since they all knew he was at least present for the battle (Antonia may or may not be present for his ultimate Outburst though)
(he actually crashes with Mystake, who winds up sharing all her Surprise EM secrets + what Miracle Make is + her own backstory being an Oni and everything), wherein is how Jesse ultimately learns of the Oni Masks
He eventually returns to school, charming his way out of answering any and all questions about where he's been or what happened. And with little left to lose, he starts acting aggressively confident towards everyone (acting like Bess, his Garmadon-created clone anyWAY–)
While biding his time, he searches for what remains of Miranda's Elemental Compendium and combines it with Mystake's intel, helping to build his future plans...
But beyond that, he plays his role basically the same, keeping all his resentment buried. The only real difference is that he never gets together with Cole because of his "new" and technically worse personality (though both probably still have lingering unresolved feelings, woop)
Fast forward fourish years, Jesse doesn't directly form the Sons of Garmadon—instead, he convinces the others that there's a (fake) group out to capture the Oni Masks (which he creates the illusion of being real via his After Image ability, sending most of group on wild goose chases while gathering all the masks in one place), and successfully manages to get Lloyd alone to hunt for the final mask
(Which, while ofc needs someone with Oni blood to remove from the pedestal....there's also the added caveat of it only being able to be wielded by a Descendant of Surprise. Which, while Jesse is an Inheritor, he technically isn't a Descendant)
Which is where Baby Wu comes in, as he and Lloyd both still fit that criteria (but Jesse certainly isn't going to give the mask to Lloyd to wear) but ofc Cole is in Dad!Mode about Baby Wu which leads to a probably emotionally-charged confrontation accumulating with Jesse committing a kidnapping whuh
Shenanigans happen and Jesse begins the resurrection ritual—but instead of trying to bring back Garmadon, he's going to bring back his sister—
...except Harumi interrupts and/or sabotages the process, which winds up summoning Zombie!Garmadon anyway, which enrages Jesse but decides to roll with this and manipulates Zombie! Garmadon in order to get everyone out the way so he can attempt the ritual again
More vague shenanigans, he once again gets Lloyd alone, reminding him of how everything always stems back to his actions. Lloyd points out that Miranda wouldn't have wanted him to do this, which ofc sets him off into a Outburst and forces Lloyd to watch as he attempts to kill the Core Four + Baby Wu (in which they get sent the First Realm)
(...Miranda actually gets sent with the guys to the First Realm in S9!Legacyverse proper; here it would be Harumi instead)
Extra angst on Lloyd, woo! But, this finally makes Jesse question his own actions. Not enough to stop, but, y'know.
Then as Zombie!Garmadon leads a legion to protect Jesse as he struggles to begin the ritual again; it's a race against time for the Resistance to snap him back to his senses + not summon the dead again
Zombie!Garmadon starts getting a little too high on power as Jesse starts getting more and more desperate—he just needs a little more time, a little more prep—but the less and less he's able to distance his fault from his actions and it starts to eat away at him
...which the Resistance uses to their advantage, using Mystake's shape shifting abilities to get close to Jesse to cuff him with Vengestone (at least on one wrist) and calm him long enough to get through to him. Jesse then tries to call off Garmadon, but Garmadon takes this as a betrayal and goes on the attack, destroying several buildings in the process.
The group attempts to escape the building they're on, as Garmadon attacked that too, but Lil Nelson (who is also here because Antonia's here and Antonia's here because I say so) gets trapped/left behind. Jesse goes back for him, managing to get him to Antonia and save him in the way he couldn't for Miranda. But then, ofc, the same exit is cut off for him, forcing Jesse to run to the roof so he can attempt to fly/warp/escape that way.
...except, he's still got that Vengestone cuff on that he can't take off, soooo—
Jesse dies, crushed by a collapsing building, ultimately meeting the same fate as his sister. Spooky parallels, uh?
Bonus if Lloyd digs through that rubble trying to find him too

Marth is not included because he's the OG. OP's propaganda below. Feel free to discuss your reasons in replies or reblogs.
Roy: Aside from Melee nostalgia, I personally cannot think of a reason to keep him. He was added a crunch development clone alongside the likes of Ganondorf and Falco. His game still hasn't left Japan, and there are way better GBA Fire Emblem reps out there (Hector, Lyn, and Ephraim come to mind). HIs portrayal in Smash also does not reflect gameplay or characterization in his game.
Ike: One of the most popular characters in the franchise. He's one of the few pure Fire Emblem swordsmen who isn't a Marth clone, and his backstory is very different from the others at the time of his release, being a mercenary instead of noble blood. However, his games sold poorly and have yet to see a rerelease.
Lucina: Fire Emblem Awakening was the game that saved the franchise. She's one of the few swordswomen in the Smash. The lack of tipper hitbox makes her easier for new players. But the lack of tipper is the only major change from Marth's moveset, nor does her personality reflect Marth's more refined movements.
Robin: Not only is he from Awakening, but he's one of the few mage/wizard/sorcerer fighters in Smash that feel as such. Breakable weapons is a gimmick that reflects the need for efficiency of weapon usage in Fire Emblem, but detrimental to their gameplay as it can take away basic necessities for a platform fighter.
Corrin: Another "early promo" character like Roy, and based around early concept arts like Greninja and Incineroar. Smash doesn't have many primary water users aside from the Pokémon, nor does it have dance fighters. Unfortunately, Fates is a very contested game with questionable writing, and I think that Azura fits the water dancer archetype far better. Nor does Corrin's moveset reflect anything from Fire Emblem aside from the Manaketes
Chrom: A highly requested after sitting out For 3DS/Wii U. Diverges somewhat more than the other clones and echo fighters. Though having multiple Awakening reps does lead to a bias similar to several Kanto Pokémon already in Smash. His animations in Ultimate aren't as refined as the other characters.
Byleth: They're from Three Houses, one of the most popular games in the franchise. They carry several weapons types including an axe, and lance, and a bow, which are major weapons in the franchise. The arguments against them come down to awful timing and context of Smash Ultimate, and of the various in-game avatar characters in Fire Emblem, they are next to Kiran and Mark as the blankest of slates.

WHY I THINK ROSALIND IS STILL ALIVE
The Rookie episodes follow the standard seasonal arc trope of what was started in episode 1, will be resolved in Episode 21. What were the topics of Episode 1?
Chenford
Nolan and the stupid golden ticket and becoming a training officer
Rosalind’s escape
So then each topic would need to be addressed during the season and resolved by the end, right?
The first third of the season (1-7) - NOLAN was the focus of the season and him learning and reacting to the dynamic of being a TO. I love Celina , because she is forcing Nolan to learn and adapt - much Ike Talia did because their backgrounds and motivations are so vastly different than his. And she pushes back on his smug, condescending, know-it-all-ness.
The second third of the season (8-15)- LUCY has been the focus and we’ve seen and are seeing her find confidence and strength within herself via her blossoming relationship with Tim.
In 5x1, Chenford, they are in massive denial about their feelings and attraction to one another - and have their 2nd kiss because of, and ultimately hook up blocked by Rosalind. Plus I love yous and possibly, possibly a proposal. Depends on Rosalind.
That would mean, by season’s end, they should be open and honest with their feelings with each other, in a committed relationship that everyone knows about and finally vanquishing Rosalind once and for all is the last real hurdle to them being together.
The final third (16-end) is about the capturing and ultimate killing of ROSALIND .
I never believed she actually died. Her death was too easy. I think she has a twin. You all can laugh at me, I don’t care. If Lucy + Tim can have unrelated doppelgängers who are lovers? Then, fuck yeah, Rosalind can have a Twin who she sacrificed to secure her freedom and give her time to plot. I don’t think it was an accident that Rosalind’s disguise was of Ashley, or that the Tim in time was in darker blood on the wall.
We had a conversation about EVIL today and whether a person is themselves inherently evil or a person does evil things - a third of the cast had opinions! Plus, there was a Priest in this episode- and Catholic Priests do exorcisms to battle evil. (Altho I hope Damian isn’t involved in any way with Rosalind)
Oscar. I love Oscar. He is a sociopath - EVIL personified, and every time he shows up, very bad things start happening to the people in our show,
Chris returns. Yes, this could be innocent and unrelated. But he’s always seemed off to me. He’s never fully clicked with Lucy. He’s got a nasty/mean streak to him. Hello ? He treated her like crap when she got upset about him singing that song. If he really did watch the video multiple times, that means he watched Lucy DIE multiple times. That’s heartless. And like Voldie he never seemed to care about Who Lucy actually was or help with her trauma.
Plus, the timing of his bleeding out has always bothered me. That UC op was need to know, so how did Rosalind KNOW to leave Chris on her sofa at that exact time. The only person Lucy told was Tamara. (I’m assuming everyone in the precinct is not linked to Rosalind ), so Rosalind had to have cloned Tam’s phone. (Chris and Austin had best chances to do that).
Thought of another one. Chris was picked up at night by Rosalind. A) how the hell did she know that he would need a ride and what time he would need to be picked up? B) What happened between the late night hour of his pick up and when the next morning he was placed in her apartment, like 8 hours later? Was he drugged? Held hostage? There was no mention of torture? I HAVE QUESTIONS! Seems like a very big ball for our detectives to drop.
Nolan publicly took credit for saving Lucy.
We are seeing Lucy really come into herself this season. So having a showdown with Rosalind would be in line with that.
I think the final coda will be Lucy + Nolan + Rosalind in some kind of final showdown.
Oh, hello. Melissa even said the audience said we’d see what’s coming and I believe that starts with Oscar and that smell Lucy deals with next week.
Cannot wait! Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

I've been seeing Nightmare headcanons recently, so why don't I post some of my own? Specifically about anime!Nightmare (aka eNeMeE)
As I mentioned in my previous headcanon post, Nightmares don't have any real names. "eNeMeE" is simply a nickname other creatures call him in order to distinguish him from other Nightmares.
How did he get so powerful in the first place? Well, thousands of years before his war with the GSA/Star Warriors, the anime universe had its own race of Ancients that fought against each other. Their civil war spread fear throughout the galaxy, and the Nightmares ate it up, secretly growing powerful. eNeMeE was one of these Nightmares that grew strong during this time. Unfortunately for him and his siblings, the Ancients' conflict started to slow down and there was even rumors of peace talks. Looking for other sources of power, eNeMeE took to devouring his own siblings and stealing their powers. By the time the Ancients found out about him, it was too late. He smashed their civilization and began creating his own army.
eNeMeE's power is what makes him so big. He's about 100m (328ft) tall. (This is also a Godzilla reference.)
Other Nightmares still exist in the anime universe, but they are far and few between as eNeMeE consumed most of them. They won't go near Kirby's galaxy because of him. However, there are rumors that a few of them allied themselves with the GSA and did a few black ops missions as "Night Warriors."
There are rumors that he may have been a Hammer Lord sometime in the distant past. He can swing a mallet pretty good for a wizard…
Did you hear about the time he tried to clone Void Termina? At one point, eNeMeE was actually having difficulty with the GSA and the Star Warriors, so he tried to create the ultimate weapon - his very own Void! However, Voids cannot be cloned like mortals can be, so he ended up making a totally different Void. One that spoke philsophical nonsense (did It really just call a hot dog a sandwich?!). However, It turned out to be useful, as Its ramblings could scramble the minds of mortals and one good scream could blow up their heads! But a Void that fancies philosophy quickly learned to question Its creator and turned on him, tossing him into the nearest Dark Star while It escaped. eNeMeE was never able to find the Void after that. He figured It might be disguising Itself as a mortal. Wherever It is, It's someone else's problem now!
There are some very rare monsters that he won't sell to anyone, and those are his strongest ones. As mentioned before in my previous post, Nightmares will often put undeath curses on mortals that they find useful. When these cursed mortals die, they have a chance of reanimating as a magical lich-like creature (which I call "Obelisks," but probably not in the fics. It's an SCP thing). When they get strong enough, they develop a field of dream logic around themselves and essentially become a second body or and "anchor" for the Nightmare (I secretly call this stage a "Monolith"). eNeMeE often puts this curse on his best monsters and generals, so that they may revive, even if the GSA kills them. Should they make it to the "Monolith" stage, he uses them as proxy bodies so he can decimate his enemies without having to truly leave his fortress. Thus, the GSA also had to make sure these things were destroyed as well…which wasn't easy.
There are some rumors that eNeMeE amy have spawned - asexually and with magic rituals, of course. No one's found any tiny Nightmares running around, so the rumors are most likely unfounded. Probably nothing to worry about, right? Right!
Dark Matter tend to avoid eNeMeE's territory, as he has a nasty habit of using their non-baryonic flesh and blood as magic reagents. Since he "died" at the end of the anime, they're free to roam about the galaxy again.
That's all for now!

Love From The Other Side - Chapter 2
good afternoon taleblr i have brought some more food for you. i hope you guys love spencer because hes my silly
once again you can read on AO3 or below the cut! and if you’re so inclined a reblow or comment would be loved!
“Huh?” Johnny Ghost pushed himself up off the back of the dead-tripods head, his entire demeanor different now. He absentmindedly wiped the blood off his face (at least any of the blood that hadn’t already soaked into his handkerchief mask, that is) as he focused his attention on the man in front of him.
“What could you possibly have of mine?” He asked, making the safe assumption that Spencer was simply bluffing.
Through the years this war had been dragging on, Ghost had lost, gained, and observed countless people. But it was strangest to see how the people he used to know had changed in such drastic ways. Spencer, the seventeen-year-old who used to live in the basement of the Acachalla house, who once would spend countless hours playing various computer games and always had some sort of sarcastic remark to make – was now a grown man threatening him with a gun.
The absence of light in Spencer’s eyes told a story, as well as the large scar that decorated the left side of his face. Johnny couldn’t help but be curious as to how he got that. As well as how much it must’ve hurt.
Spencer finally slipped the item out of his pocket and weighed it in his palm, displaying it out to Ghost.
Johnny skeptically looked forward at Spencer’s hand, eyebrows narrowing in confusion as he looked upon the item, before ultimately snatching it from him to examine himself.
It was an exact copy of the knife he currently had — the same one he had used to defeat the tripod just a few minutes ago. Now, this normally wouldn’t be such a big deal, y’know, mass-produced knives were a thing. Though that concept was more so a thing of the past and finding duplicates of items in this environment could be like winning the lottery twice in a row. It just didn’t make sense.
But as Ghost pulled out his knife in order to compare the two and it was evident that this other knife was exactly like his. It had the same scratch marks in all the right spots, and both of them had that crudely crossed-out P.I.E symbol that he had carved years beforehand.
It was as if someone had cloned his knife or something, which was impossible since absolutely no one was to put hands on it other than him.
“Where the hell did you get this?” Ghost refocused his attention on Spencer, looking back up at him with an accusatory glare. “What…what is this?”
“A knife. Your knife to be exact,” Spencer said smugly as Ghost gave him an unamused look.
“I know that, dipshit.” Ghost grumbled through his teeth, before stepping forward to Spencer in a threatening way, gripping both knives in his hand and shaking them with emphasis. “Answer my question. How and where did you get this?”
Spencer remained still, unbothered by Ghost’s sporadic movement. “Simple. I got it from you.” He spoke without emotion, and yet it only confused and frustrated Johnny more.
The knives once in Ghost’s palms clattered to the ground as he advanced and grabbed Spencer by the sides of his jacket, grasping the fabric tightly in his hands as he roughly pulled the man forward.
The two now face to face, Spencer was able to get a good look at Johnny. He had only one eye, and as Spencer could previously remember a distinct brownish-hazel to his eyes, what now remained was more of a reddish hue, which piqued his curiosity. The missing eye was covered by a makeshift eye patch, and peaking out from under the fabric was a slanted scar that was assumed to be the cause of removal.
“If you don’t quit with your bullshit and give me a straight fucking answer, I’m gonna find a way to get it out of you myself.” Ghost’s breath was heavy, and from the sound of it, Spencer could assume there was a smile on his face.
This was strange for Ghost — not necessarily the threatening aspect but the fact that him being overly aggressive was something he was finding joy in. Though he found it odd, there were plenty of other things Spencer could care more about, and that did not concern him as of right now.
“I was getting to that part,” Spencer shoved Ghost off, and upon doing so successfully he re-adjusted his jacket and remained his composed self. “To make a long story short, you are not the only you currently in this universe.”
Upon being shoved off, Ghost picked the knives up from the ground, and quietly hesitated when looking for whichever one was his, before ultimately just shoving one in his pocket and hoping it was right. He let out a half-amused scoff in return. “Is that all…? So you came all this way just to point a gun at me and waste my time?” “Do your ears only work 50% of the time or are you just choosing not to listen?” Spencer himself grew irritated, yet his body language remained calm. “There is another you in this universe. Do you not understand the possible repercussions of that?” He stressed, squeezing the pistol in his hand as he stepped closer to Ghost. “No, no, I heard you,” Johnny scowled, “I just don’t care. What do you say I do about it? The world is burning, half the members of the P.I.E. army are dead, aliens have taken over the planet and there’s no hope for humanity and everything is just a ticking time bomb till everyone is dead.”
His eyebrows tightly knitted together as he exasperated his point, the rest of his face curling into sarcastic amusement as he tilted his head to Spencer. “Everything is for nothing, Spencer, so what matters if there's another me running around?”
Spencer paused, half astonished at how Johnny was acting. He was used to the typically melancholic sarcasm that was par for the course when it came to Ghost, but he supposed that he had miscalculated truly how difficult the task at hand would be. Somehow he had gotten so used to everything that he neglected to remember that some people just didn’t have that push for survival anymore. But to be quite frank, this wasn’t living, and it didn’t take a genius to point that out.
It made Spencer question – just for a moment – why the hell he was doing this. Why he was spending the possible last years of his life fighting for a cause that seems so frankly impossible? To have someone verbalize that unspoken, deep-rooted fear that he had in the back of his mind all this time of isolation was such a slap in the face it brought him to silence. If everything is for nothing, then what matters?
His cause was so much bigger than Ghost. It was bigger than himself, as well. But he didn’t have time to dwell on things that didn’t help his cause. If he did, he’d just be wasting time. Though, that didn't eliminate the anxious thoughts from occupying his brain.
After a pause, Spencer sighed and lowered his gun, a dejected look in his eyes and a sour taste in his mouth. “Things don’t have to be this way, you know that.” “Listen,” Ghost dropped his expression in trade for one of accepted hopelessness, one that Spencer saw in survivors so commonly. “I don’t care for what ‘could be’, alright? Things are this way. They’ve been this way. They’ll stay this way. That’s just how life is.”
“But-” Spencer opened his mouth, just to be interrupted. “Shut up,” Ghost barked, the tension getting to him. “Toast has spent all these years to no avail trying to pull the same shit you are. It’s gotten him nowhere. As smart as you think you are, whatever universe or time bull-shit you’re trying to get yourself into is gonna be all for nothing.”
Johnny moved forward to leave, looking towards Spencer as he got his final words in. “Don’t waste the only time you have left.” He finally then pushed him aside, heading past him and leaving Spencer to just watch him walk away.

Prime's Immortality - Theories
[This post is copy/pasted from a reblog post I wrote for the Rick C-137 & Prime Masterpost on Rick and Morty, and also includes new additional thoughts I had on it.]
Tumblr media
Why couldn't Prime be killed by Jerry? Is he immortal or does he have fast healing powers?
In the animation, we can see a cut made by Jerry, some blood, and then the cut heals within seconds. So Prime appears to have regeneration abilities.
Prime not appearing to have aged in 40 years may be part of the time traveller theory, or it may be linked with his healing abilities.
In season 3 and 6 (the same seasons Prime appears in), we have two examples where other characters have temporarily obtained immortality (or at least being unkillable).
Fortune Cookies:
Tumblr media
Theory 1, Prime is using the fortune cookies from season 6 (or something from the same dimension the Lockerean fate creature that created them is from) by holding an unfulfilled fortune that is preventing him from dying.
This one in my opinion seems less likely, because immortality achieved through this doesn't appear to give the user healing powers. Examples include: The Rick being bulletproof (but the bullets that hit his forehead still making him bleed), the guard who got his ribs shattered, and Jerry (where bullets just kept improbably missing him).
The Whirly Dirly:
Tumblr media
Theory 2, Prime is using some sort of technology similar to immortality field the vacation resort (that the Whirly Dirly ride was located in). But instead of the field being a bubble, Prime has somehow applied it to just himself.
In the season 3 Whirly Dirly episode, Jerry gets shot in the head, but survives because he was within the immortality field. Rick and the episode's antagonist also get their heads injured and then healed. The visual to convey this makes it look like the animation is being played rewound for Jerry's injury, and for Rick and the antagonist, it looks like their heads regenerated. Though there's a gold glow (pictured below) that appears with all three of them when they heal (and that Rick Prime's neck regeneration doesn't have).
Tumblr media
So, to link this back to C-137 and Prime's backstory, how can these theories help us? I don't think there's enough info here to get something concrete (yet), but it does raise some conclusions, and a few questions to explore:
Prime and C-137 both know about at least one of these places, being interdimensional travellers. Did they visit these places together or separately?
Did Prime have these regenerating abilities before or after his falling out with C-137?
It also helps give us a picture of why Prime is like This. He believes that he's unkillable, so you can imagine the confidence that's going to give a Rick.
Operation Phoenix:
By season 2 episode 7, Rick has been working on an experiment called Operation Phoenix, a project to help him cheat death. In the Tiny Rick episode, Rick puts his consciousness into a younger clone of himself. The experiment ultimately fails, because the young Rick's personality started taking over our Rick's mind. This leads to Rick rejecting the experiment and going back into his previous body.
Tumblr media
But we see Operation Phoenix reappear in later episodes.
Tumblr media
In Edge of Tomorty (S4), Rick is able to jump into different consciousnesses of his clones across dimensions. Not only that, but Rick doesn't have the same problem he hand in the Tiny Rick episode (of the body trying to take over his mind/personality). This could possibly be because either keeping the body the same age negates the personality takeover, or other Ricks developed the experiment to remove the side effect by then.
Then in season 5's finale, there is then another development of Operation Phoenix where we see some Mortys using it, not just Ricks. So we can assume the experiment is being continually worked on by Ricks.
This could mean that Rick Prime has perfected Operation Phoenix, and is using it to stay the same age as he was in flashbacks.

💬💬💬💬💬💬 (hahaha yeah that many)
You asked for it…
💬That was wonderful, Captain. And what I said before, what we have… it’s no bad thing. I meet your needs, you meet mine - the Equation is balanced. It’s Verity.”
Max didn’t sound happy, but he sounded sincere. It was the Scientifical ideal of a relationship, Pearl knew; mutually beneficial, rational and productive. Back on Earth, she would have said it was her ideal, too; but she knew in her heart that there was a reason she’d never actually committed to it. And she knew why her own pride was wounded. Max was driven, hot-blooded and passionate, but he was still a Vicar of the OSI, and it had been foolish of her to hope for any different.
“That’s all we’re here for, huh? The Equation.”
“We are all part of the Equation, and through our actions we bring humanity closer to its ultimate fulfilment, yes. For example, from a teleological perspective, your purpose was to bring me to the scholar.”
“That’s from your perspective too, though. It’s funny how the Plan always seems to line up with what you want.”
There was real pain in his voice as he replied, and Pearl found herself wishing that they could talk like this at other times, times when they weren't fucked out and half drunk on the floor.
“Because my purpose is to solve it! My life has been dedicated to understanding the Grand Equation. Without that I have… nothing.”
“That’s your choice.”
Max sighed. “Not from my perspective.”
💬 The Captain liked to earn her bits and then spend them freely, and so she’d taken several rooms on the top floor of the Sprat Shack. Back when they had first arrived, and it felt the way he imagined a vacation might. Before Lucky Montoya’s puzzle had unfolded to reveal the truth of Gorgon, like one of those beautiful plants on Monarch whose petals concealed pods containing gastric acid and small bones.
💬Milo stepped forward.
“I’m skilled in combat - I was an extra on three seasons of Broken Jaws & Broken Hearts!”
Max scoffed. “Broken Jaws & Broken Hearts is utter nonsense. The tossball on display is ludicrous, and there are so many orgies it’s a surprising that anyone even has the time left over to play.”
“Sounds like you know a lot about it, Max.” Felix grinned. “Maybe I should check it out?”
“I was merely watching for research purposes,” Max snapped.
💬Unlike the cold steel corridors the floor is carpeted, and as his feet cross the threshold a sense memory assails him. Approaching the altar, barefoot and bare headed, the first time he was anointed.
(I just really like writing Max ok ok. Here’s some non TOW stuff)
💬The pleasure in her belly and the blood in her gut makes her feel sick and light headed all at the same time, like learning to smoke cigarettes.
(Midnight Mass)
💬They talked about the weblum, then about the balmera, which was apparently even bigger. All the creatures on Coran’s planet sounded fairly large and terrifying. He’d fought a lot of them, apparently, sometimes armed with energy weapons, once entirely naked and carrying only a knife. It sounded like some kind of special forces training, and his outfit did look a little like a sci-fi version of one of those Crimean war numbers, with the buttons and the long tails.
Then they talked about earth animals and their respective sizes, and how animals used to be much larger, and Malcolm realised with relief and delight that this guy truly had no idea who he was, or what a dinosaur was. Being able to talk about them in the abstract like ninety nine point nine percent of the population could, can you believe there was a crazy billionaire trying to clone dinosaurs, can you believe it, ha ha - it actually really helped.
(My VLD/Jurassic Park crossover. Genuinely proud of this for making It work)

14 - 20 + imogen and morgan! 💕
14. Are they peaceful or vengeful?
Imogen is definitely vengeful. It doesn't really matter to her if she did the terrible thing first, she just likes putting people in their place. It's an instinct that she's had since she childhood, but it didn't fully manifest until she became an Inquisitor. The sole reason she wanted to destroy the Holocron was to get back at Vader for cutting off her leg.
Morgan is peaceful because she doesn't have the energy or will to be vengeful. She does what she needs to survive and that is all she has in her. That world drains so much out of people and if she can still put one foot in front of the other and move on, that's what she will do.
15. Are they close with their family?
Imogen doesn't remember her family. The one thread she didn't get the chance to pull on got destroyed during the Clone Wars. It really bothered her back then, but she sees it as a blessing now. Her family gave her up to the Jedi - an order that she ultimately hated being a part of. They were lucky to not have known her.
Morgan's family is very dear to her, especially her younger brother. The two of them were best friends growing up and she did her best to protect him from the horrors that took over the world. Their parents were researchers for the Fireflies and when they moved out west Morgan and Parker latched onto each other even more. The last few years of his life were the rockiest their relationship had ever been 'cause he was totally radicalized by the Fireflies in the most detrimental way and gradually became a person Morgan didn't recognize. She still would have taken his place in front of the firing squad if she had been given the chance.
16. Do they believe that the 'blood of the coven is thicker than water of the womb'?
Well, what very few loyalties Imogen has are certainly not family oriented so it’s definitely a saying that applies to her. Imogen has spent most of her life being stripped of choices. Choosing anyone is far more profound and meaningful to her than any default family ever could be.
While Morgan deeply loves her family, she feels the same exact way about any other bonds she makes. Being 20 years into an apocalypse, every relationship she forges is precious to her. You have to appreciate that and fight tooth and nail for it because you never know when you might lose that person. She forgot that for a little while after her brother’s death because she just couldn’t stomach another loss, but when she works through her grief she becomes even more attached to her bonds - family or not. It’s all family.
17. What are their biggest fears?
Imogen will swear up and down that nothing scares her. For the most part it’s true, but there is one thing that’s always been there that truly frightens her. It’s the inescapable feeling of emptiness. She’s never once felt like she belonged anywhere and it’s left her with this hole in her chest for so long. Imogen is terrified nothing will be able to fill it and that she’ll be that way forever. Of course things start to change when she falls in love, but then she’s even more afraid of that void because of all the horrible things she did in the past to feel different. She’s scared of what she’ll turn into if she loses what she found.
Morgan unfortunately is living through her worst fears as well. She was always utterly terrified of losing Parker and then she had to watch his public execution. Then she was terrified of losing herself to grief, which is a constant every day battle on her journey that she loses more often than not. Morgan is also afraid of reaching her destination. She doesn’t want to see her parents’ faces when she delivers the news. She scared that reliving that grief will undo any progress she’s made. She’s scared that surviving is only to feel endless grief.
18. How would you describe their voice?
Imogen has a very alluring, firm, even sharp tone of voice. She almost never raises it - she doesn’t have to - because when she speaks, people listen. There’s always something threatening in her voice that either makes people very wary of her or draws them in.
I wouldn’t say Morgan is exactly soft spoken, but she’s quiet and her tone is very smooth. She doesn’t like to yell mostly cause she can’t be bothered. Her voice is always laced with a bit of heartache. Before her brother’s death it was a lot lighter, but the weight of his loss translates in how she talks.
19. Describe their wardrobe.
Imogen is all about the dark colors to blend in and light layers that help her move freely. Tattered black cloak, loose fit pants (it’s more comfortable on her prosthetic leg than tight clothing), a simple pair of boots. Of course there’s also a lot of practicality in her wardrobe for whatever suits her needs as a bounty hunter. Vests with tools and a utility belt for her weapons. She’s not exactly as inconspicuous as she intends to be, but she definitely doesn’t look like someone to mess with.
It’s kinda hard to curate a specific wardrobe in the apocalypse, so Morgan sticks with comfortable and practical clothing. Lots of flannels with holes in them (she does repairs on the road with a small sewing kit if she has to), one really decent jacket that’s taken a beating, old leather boots that have really worn soles, but are still good for maybe another couple years. She’s all about cargo pants too. Gotta have as many pockets as possible.
20. What's their favorite season?
Imogen is always cold, but doesn’t like to be too hot either so Spring or even Fall are happy mediums for her. She leans more towards Spring because she likes to be comfortable in the shade during sunny days. Cold and mist definitely suits her aesthetic a bit more though. Even if she’s struggling not to shiver lol.
Morgan loves Summer. Winter is so brutal. Food is scarce and you have to fight not to freeze to death. A bright, sunny day that warms her face really breathes life back into her. She loves to swim during really hot days too. She’ll take her horse out to a river and have such a relaxing time cooling off. It’s the closest thing to a spa day in the apocalypse.

5 Ways to Revise The Book of Boba Fett
Tumblr media
At this point, I think it’s pretty clear that The Book of Boba Fett was not a resounding success. You may have liked it, you may have hated it, you may have already forgotten it, but I haven’t encountered anyone who loved it. It’s a messy, very confusing series that from its first episode made a number of questionable structural and storytelling decisions that would never really cohere across the series’ seven episode run.
The difficulty with this show isn’t really that Boba Fett isn’t blood thirsty or even the over abundance of cameos. It’s ultimately that whatever story Jon Favreau was trying to tell about Boba Fett was never clearly established. This is his book after all. So anyways, here are five changes I would’ve made to The Book of Boba Fett.
But first, some ground rules. I’m not going to change any of the major plot events for the series. Let’s keep the struggle on Tatooine, the Pykes, Black Krrsantan, the Mods, the Tuskens etc. Let’s just do some tweaking. Some messing around with the formula of it all.
1.  Clarify Boba’s Past
Tumblr media
Let’s be clear here. For the vast, vast majority of Star Wars viewers and fans, Boba Fett is an enigma. He’s a cool costume rather than a character, which honestly is part of his appeal. He’s a mystery character that you can project a lot of your own thoughts and opinions upon. There is a version of this show that keeps that mystique and shows us a Boba of few words that rarely, if ever shows his face.
That’s clearly not the show, Jon Favreau wanted to make. Which is fine, you already have a show about a mostly faceless taciturn buckethead. We want Boba to feel different. Sure. But the issue here is that we as viewers then need a better idea of who this Boba character is. It’s clear by the end of the series that The Book of Boba Fett wanted to tell a story of a violent, loner of a man who learns compassion and trust in others through help from the Tusken Raiders and then carries those lessons into being a crime lord. The issue is that at the start of this show we don’t really have a baseline of who Boba Fett is. We can’t chart character growth if we don’t know what we are growing from.
Sure, fans of the expanded universe of Star Wars comics, games, and animated shows may have a bit better of an idea of who exactly Boba Fett is, but even then his portrayal has been relatively inconsistent and varied depending on the medium and writer. In The Clone Wars we have a Boba Fett who is vengeful but still compassionate. In the Bounty Hunters comics we have a Boba Fett that is comfortable shooting women in the back. And again, the vast majority of fans don’t have this context. All they know of Boba Fett is his iconography and his brief roles in several of the films. We need an idea of who Boba is. If this is a story of a violent loner turning over a new leaf. We need to understand and see that man as a violent loner.
So how do we fix this? Well, The Book of Boba Fett already has a foot in the right direction. We keep the flashback structure but we retool it a bit. The Tusken stories stay, but we push them towards the end of the show. Instead we spend the first three to four episodes of the series flashing back to Boba’s earlier days. We can even bring back Daniel Logan for a few years of young adult Boba. We see Boba at various periods over his life and get an idea of the various choices that have shaped him into the man he was. By the time we get to the Tusken stories, we can really see the effect that companionship and community have on this man. We have context now.
It also adds some texture to the present-day stories as well. If we see Boba Fett’s past, his decisions in present day become more unpredictable. Sure, we may see a Boba that wants to rule with respect, but he sure as hell has been killing a lot of people in the past. He is after all, to quote another bounty hunter, “A cold blooded killer who worked for the Empire.” This also adds a sense of mystery to the present as well. Why is Boba Fett back? Why does he want to take care of Tatooine? What motivates this change of character? It becomes not just how Boba Fett got his gaffi stick and teamed up with Fennec Shand, but why.
2.  Show Boba’s Struggle
Tumblr media
If part of Jon Favreau’s apparent story idea was to chart Boba’s evolution into a more communal and respecting person, we also need to see more of that struggle. Some of the most dramatically intriguing moments of the show come in the finale when Cad Bane taunts Boba and we see for the first time that he maybe doesn’t have the demeanor to do this job. There’s still a hint of a more violent impulsive man underneath that helmet.
Sure, we get a few moments when Boba bumbles his way through being a crime lord, but what if this had to do just as much with temperament as it does with naivete. Everyone expects Boba to be this violent, cruel man and there’s probably a voice in him that wants to do the same and that’s what ends up being the big paradox of his leadership on Tatooine. Defying everyone’s expectations, including his own.
It would also be worthwhile to see Boba Fett do some actual leading. Sure, he assembles some allies, but part of being a crime lord isn’t just getting different players in the room, it’s managing different personalities and motivations. We get some hints of this, again, in the final episode of the series. The citizens of Freetown and Mos Espa’s mods have a rural/urban culture conflict that makes teamwork difficult. Getting to see Boba actually broker agreements between these different groups to ensure loyalty would not only add some dramatic tension to the narrative but would also help us believe in him as a leader. At the conclusion of Favreau’s version of The Book of Boba Fett, we still haven’t really seen many qualities about Boba that would make him a good leader. He’s strong willed and a cool fighter and that’s about it.
3.   Jango’s Legacy
Tumblr media
Another aspect of Boba’s character that doesn’t feel touched upon nearly as much as it should is Boba’s relationship to his father Jango Fett and also his status as a clone. Bane makes an offhand reference to Boba living in the shadow of his father, but that’s really about it. How much is Boba, even now, still coping with Jango’s death? How does the reputation of his father and his bounty hunting legacy inform his decision making on Tatooine?
There’s also just the fact that Boba spent years of his life seeing his father’s face on the frontlines of a galactic war. And also! Fennec Shand met them! Several times! Fennec at least mentioning Boba being a clone at least once feels like a missed opportunity for character growth and introspection and maybe could add some wrinkles to her as a character too. If there’s anything that this show really needs to do is to give Ming-na Wen more to play with.
4.  Introduce Cad Bane Earlier
Tumblr media
One of the things that The Book of Boba Fett was missing is easily a villain we can root against. The Pykes may be an overwhelming force, but they don’t have much of a personality to them. They’re bad guys to get blasted. When Cad Bane appears at the conclusion of “From the Desert Comes a Stranger” the entire show ups its stakes dramatically. We have a villain now. A scary one.
Again, some of the best scenes of the show concern Cad Bane and Boba Fett facing off. Corey Burton’s voicework and the impressive practical effects bounce off Morrison’s own acting in a really effective manner and we can feel that tense history between Bane and Boba. However, it’s never been a history we’ve seen. The entirety of Cad Bane and Boba’s relationship occurred in unseen episodes for another show that have only ever been glimpsed in unfinished animatics. It’s not exactly narrative context and it’s a missed opportunity for emotional tension and payoff during their standoffs in “In the Name of Honor.”
But, we also don’t want to lose that cool intro for the character in “From the Desert Comes a Stranger,” right? So what do we do? We make Bane a recurring character in the Boba Fett flashbacks. We get a sense of their relationship and also their decades long rivalry. We actually see the influence these two men have on each other. So when Bane swaggers out of the desert to gun down Cobb Vanth, we know that the stakes for the series increased dramatically. Bane is back and we know that shit’s about to get real.
5.     Keep Din, but Don’t Leave Boba
Tumblr media
I think everyone can agree that despite how fun Din Djarin’s episodes of The Book of Boba Fett may have been, they undoubtedly feel like installments of a different show. Because they are. They don’t really have a place in this series. Din does. It makes perfect sense that Boba may rely on the other armored badass he knows to help defend his territory, but this isn’t Din’s story.
Just make “Return of the Mandalorian” and the Grogu/Luke portions of “From the Desert Comes a Stranger” parts of The Mandalorian season 3. Din can still show up in his hot rod Naboo Starfighter, but we don’t need the origins for it in this show. Star Wars fans are smart and also more than used to getting wonky, sometimes out of sync, continuity. Nobody would bat an eye at seeing the intro to a ship here and then learning its origin in another show. Acknowledge that these events happen and maybe even hint at them, but don’t show them. It’s not their place.

Hello! I just finished A Snapping Sound and absolutely loved it, it was so so good! I just had a quick question about how Danny ultimately passed since I'm a bit confused-
Did he get caught somehow during the second escape and then after some time Vlad did the same to him as the others? Or was it accidental death in his escape? I thought his escape plan was quite clever, I'm wondering how he got found and how he died exactly 😭
Thank you!
Hey I wrote this whole thing out... somewhere... lemme find it...
Danny hadn’t seen the sky in aeons. Time was no longer marked by sunrise and sunset. Days were marked by when his tormentor entered the basement and when he left. Danny obsessively picked the routine apart, unraveling it, replaying it over and over for a way to exploit it. He had nothing else to do except log the details of his captivity.
When he’s about to leave he stomps three times to knock the dirt from his shoes.
He takes the steps two at a time when he descends, one at a time when he ascends.
After he leaves, I have approximately seven hours until he comes back. Seven hours to escape, give or take thirty minutes of error, seeing as I counted the seconds, during five different ‘nights’, then averaged them.
Of course, his captor caught onto that pretty quickly. After Danny’s first botched escape attempt the man was careful to randomize his routine in such a way that Danny was left in a constant state of disorientation. He was kept cuffed for what felt like days on end, then, without any reasoning, he was uncuffed. He no longer could tell when one ‘day’ bled into another, as his captor spent different segments of time in the basement, ranging everywhere from four hours, down to ten minutes. He also began to sedate Danny at odd intervals, for no apparent reason other than to create blurry gaps in his memory and keep him from planning. Danny had quieted and his tormentor had taken his complacency as defeat instead of what it really was: endurance. Somewhere along the way, Danny had learned that, in order to survive long enough to escape, he had to be a smart captive. A smart captive meant sacrificing any semblance of pride, playing nice, and waiting. It meant begging when asked to beg, agreeing to anything and everything, and otherwise pretending you didn’t exist, because only bad things happened when you were noticed.
At this point, keeping track of time became pointless. So did the idea of planning an elaborate escape attempt. If he couldn’t predict what his tormentor would do, with any small amount of certainty, he had no constants to plan around. And while he knew he could pick the lock to his room, he also knew that he stood no chance of getting out of the basement anymore. At least, not on his own. The man had sealed that exit thoroughly.
So, Danny waited patiently and remained vigilant for a random stroke of luck.
And then, miraculously, one day an opportunity presented itself in the form of a dead body.
In the dark, Danny squinted and was able to make out a four-sided wooden coffin. The lid was ajar, a dark hand waving out.
Danny pried the lid off and stared down, stunned. Even though he knew before he even opened the lid, it wasn’t any less unnerving to see the dead eyes staring up at him.
Danny swallowed thickly. He reached underneath the corpse’s armpits, hoisting it up. The thing’s head lolled, nuzzling his, giving Danny an intense whiff of rot and an expanse of clammy flesh. Danny turned his head away and gagged. He tried not to think about how this could be him if this prison break didn’t work.
It took forever to drag the body across the basement into his room. It took another forever to wrestle it into his clothing. The body’s arms were rubbery, heavy, and swollen.
Danny panted, dizzy. In his emaciated state this whole endeavor was like a marathon. Adrenaline beat his ears like a war drum and leant him strength he did not possess. With a grunt, he rolled the dead thing onto his bed and covered it with his thin blanket.
He had no idea how long this doppelganger would fool his jailor. If the man entered his room today he would notice, but the man rarely came into his room.
Danny breathed shallowly. He felt more awake now than he had felt in long time. More alive. Clear-headed. Focused. Hope dared to balloon in his chest. This could work.
He tugged on the clone’s clothes. It had been wearing nothing but a white shirt and a pair of overly baggy pants. After yanking the shirt on, Danny searched through the basement and found a surgical knife. He tucked it into the waistline, the cool metal pressing against the small of his back. He found several large bottles of whatever his captor used before he performed surgeries on his other victims— some kind of weird orange-yellow-brown liquid— and he smeared it across his every inch of exposed skin.
Then, with one last glance at the near pitch-black basement, Danny lowered himself into the coffin and readjusted the lid so it was half covering him. He tried to remember how the corpse had been lying. Any missed detail, and he’d fail. His captor wasn’t stupid.
Danny raised his right hand and draped it over the edge of the casket, limp.
He stayed that way for an indefinite amount of time. Hours. Days. He couldn’t tell. His shoulders, the back of his head, his heels, and his tailbone pounded at the hard surface of the box. He lost feeling completely in his upraised arm. His eyes stared blankly ahead, scanning, knowing that three inches from his nose was a wooden lid, although the box was so dark he couldn’t make it out.
His eyes drooped and his adrenaline faded away, yet his body never relaxed. As much as his body screamed for it, he couldn’t allow sleep. Not tonight.
A mechanical door whirred and someone descended into the lab. Heavy, slow, plodding footsteps— Skulker’s.
Danny’s breath caught.
Skulker wasted no time. He lumbered over to the casket where Danny willed himself to steady. The fact that his hand hand gone numb was a blessing. It meant it had no chance of trembling and giving him away.
Danny didn’t dare flinch or breathe. He kept his mouth agape and prayed Skulker wouldn’t look too hard. Skulker wasn’t much for noticing details. Desperate to not think about what was going on right now, Danny tried to remember his mother’s voice, her scent, the feeling of his head tucked underneath her chin as she held him close and safe. Any residual tension flooded out of his limbs.
Skulker grabbed his right hand and flung it back into the box. Danny’s leadened arm flopped lifelessly and hit the wall of the casket with a dull thud that he didn’t feel. Above him, the lid of the coffin was put back in place.
A grating noise, then a series of booms. Danny couldn’t help but flinch as the coffin jolted painfully against his sore body. The back of his skull complained. His eyeballs rattled in their sockets.
Then, he was being moved. How? He wasn’t sure.
Danny dared to open his eyes— seeing nothing but pitch black. Danny couldn’t twist or sit upright. He could barely move his head two inches up before hitting it on the lid. His eyes flitted around the slats to try and see through, but it was impossible.
A slow triumphant smirk spread across his lips. He was maybe the only person ever that was looking forward to being buried alive.
Skulker grunted as he heaved the box somewhere... outside. Freezing cold air whistled through the cracks, easily biting through Danny’s shirt. He fought a shiver and wondered what month it was. The last time he had attempted escape, it had been spring. Surely it hadn’t been more than a few months since then?
Skulker let out a gruff noise and Danny felt weightlessness as the box got tossed. With a jolt of fear, his fingers tried to clamp down to something, but there was nothing to hold onto. The casket hit hard and tumbled. Danny’s head smacked into the side of the box. He blinked blood rapidly out of his left eye. Absently, Danny prayed that Skulker didn’t look back in the box again. The blood would be a dead giveaway. Also, in this light, Danny doubted Skulker would mistake him again.
There was a yip and a rustle. The sound of tinkling chains. Danny only had his imagination to sort out what was going on.
Skulker let out a whistle and at least three dogs answered with howls, before the box jolted and Danny was gliding. He turned his head to the side and ran the back of his hand along the wood grain. Three inches of cedar plank separated him from the sun. Tears welled in his eyes, unbidden. It had felt like ages since he had last seen the sky. And here he was, so close, yet still unable to see it.
Danny forced back the tears. This wasn’t the time to get overly emotional or cocky. He wasn’t out of the woods yet. He pricked his ears, trying to dissect each noise in case it would prove important later, should this escape work. He could hear a constant shhhhhhh of whatever contraption he was on. A chain jingled, taut. There were several dogs. He could hear them panting and snuffling nearby. Far ahead he could hear Skulker plodding along. Branches snapped and leaves rustled. Images of the forest behind the mansion came to mind.
If they were in that forest, they had cut over to a deeper, denser, part. Their progress was slower and Skulker cursed more and more underneath his breath. Danny could hear that the man was fatigued. His footsteps grew slower and heavier.
They came to a halt. The dogs scampered away. Danny heard a door close and the sound of a fire crackling.
Danny closed his eyes again and went limp. He was patient. He could wait. But, Skulker never came back and neither did the dogs. Danny got the feeling that he had been forgotten. He didn’t know how long that would last. His feet and palms began to sweat, itch. This could be the last chance he had before Skulker buried the coffin.
Danny shifted, wiggling until he could get his arms free from where they were pinned up against the sides of the box. He used his knees and his palms to push against the lid.
It wouldn’t budge.
Danny’s heart hammered in his throat. He used the top of his head. He strained and let out a soft noise of frustration. Did Skulker already nail the lid on? Danny hadn’t planned on that. His mind raced, trying to come up with another way out, should that be the case. He had a knife, maybe he could… He shook his head, refocused, and tried again.
This time the lid popped and cracked open.
Danny froze and held his breath, listening intently for any sign that Skulker had heard that. When nothing happened, he pushed the lid all the way off and sat up.
Fresh air ruffled his hair, and filled his lungs, making him dizzy and euphoric. Sunlight warmed his cheeks. Snowflakes fell against his nose and nestled atop his head. Danny heaved a few breaths and looked upwards. Giddiness nearly overcame him as he took in the sky.
Blue. Sun. Fluffy clouds lazily rolling along a dazzling crystalline sky. Peace.
Danny stared around at all the snow, bewildered. Panic simmered. He had missed out on a way larger chunk of time than he originally thought. He had been taken in August. His first escape attempt had been in spring. There was at least two feet of snow blanketing the ground, which meant it was December, if not February. That meant… over a year.
Over a year of lost time.
Danny pushed that thought aside and peered down to find the casket which was resting atop a sled— a sled which sat next to a log cabin. Danny looked directly into a window. Inside, a healthy fireplace, several animal heads mounted to the wall, and Skulker crouched above the fire. He had his back to the window, poking a bit at the embers. The hunter straightened and turned.
Danny let his spine go limp and fell backwards into the casket. His eyes darted about at the sky wildly in fear. He realized it didn’t matter if Skulker saw him or not— he had to get out of this coffin.
Keeping his head ducked, Danny crawled out and fell to the ground. Cold seeped through his shirt and pants, soaking them. Blood stained the snow underneath his head. Danny’s fingers curled desperately into the snow, feeling it crunch against his palm.
He backed away from the sled, sliding along his butt, until his back hit the cabin wall. He edged away from the front door. Keeping his gaze fixated on the window, Danny used his hands to feel his way behind him. His palm hit something warm and wet and he flinched.
An English Setter stared at him, butting its head into Danny’s palm. It’s fur was mangy and a speckled brown. It was large and brutish, with thick corded muscle.
Danny froze.
The dog tilted its head and growled.
“Shh,” Danny breathed. He caught sight of a leather collar with a name tag. “Shh, Cujo.”
Its head the other direction, ears perked in recognition.
“That’s your name, right?” Danny soothed, whispering. “Listen, Cujo. Let’s keep this our little secret, ok?” He got onto his feet, slowly. His height frightened the dog, who skittered back a few paces and yipped, loud.
The cabin door flew open.
Danny ran.
His bare feet ached as he tore his way through the snow. With each stride his leg disappeared several inches. The snow was icy and sharp. Danny didn’t care. His gaze was laser-focused on a thick clump of trees. He had no idea where he was, but he figured that he could find some hiding spots in the thicker parts of the forest.
From behind him, as if through a tunnel, Danny heard a yell. He phased it all out of his mind and kept running. All that mattered was running as fast as he could into that treeline. Even when he reached it, he knew he wasn’t safe, he kept running. Skulker was coming up behind him. Danny could hear the man’s panting.
Danny darted through the branches, hopping over a log. He trained all his focus on not tripping.
Skulker stampeded right behind him. Almost on top of him now.
Adrenaline pounded through his head. He urged his legs to run faster, but they had done nothing for over a year. His muscles quivered with disuse. Out of desperation, he yanked at a branch so it would fling backwards. Behind him, Skulker gave a pained grunt then tackled him from behind with the brute force of an avalanche.
The breath got knocked from his lungs. His face pressed into the snow. It filled his mouth and his nose. He choked. Panic stabbed at him. His hands scrambled for purchase and found a branch. Getting a good grip on it, he whipped it behind him.
Skulker grabbed that arm and twisted it behind his back, forcing him to let go of the bludgeon. Danny’s arm screamed in protest.
“Stop struggling,” Skulker grunted. He pressed his knee into the back of Danny’s head, forcing his face a few more inches into the snow until it completely covered his ears.
Danny screamed, but it was muffled. He twisted and kicked backwards as hard as he could. His bare heel collided with a crunch. Dimly, Danny was aware of pain in his foot.
Skulker howled and tumbled off of him.
Danny crawled a few paces away before getting back on his feet. He swayed.
Skulker got ahold of his neck and slammed him against a tree.
“Hnnr—” Danny choked. Snow rattled off the branches overhead, dumping onto the pair of them. It clung to his hair and eyelashes. He blinked furiously up at Skulker’s leering face.
Skulker’s eyes narrowed. He lifted Danny higher until his bare feet kicked nothing but air and the back of the tree.
Danny gritted his teeth and lashed out, hitting Skulker’s arms, his hands clawing, ripping. His struggles weakened as his vision darkened. Skulker’s tough leather hunting gloves were impossible to scratch through and he was wearing far too many layers. He merely shook Danny by the neck like shaking a rubber chicken.
Danny’s head flopped as the fight got sucked out of him. For a minute he forgot. He allowed himself to give up. “Do it,” he mouthed, lips trembling.
Skulker paused. “What?”
"Do it,” Danny mouthed again.
Skulker’s faced dawned in understanding. He nodded. His grip tightened until Danny felt like his neck would snap in half.
Danny’s eyelashes fluttered. The brilliant blue sky faded into black. His hands fell to his sides, still. He felt an overwhelming calm swoop down over him. It swaddled him in a blanket of peace. Then, something dug into the small of his back. A wiggling thread loosened, a voice screamed that he couldn’t just fall noiselessly into the dark. If he died, Skulker would put him in that box and bury him somewhere no one would ever find him, just like he had done with all the others.
Danny couldn’t swallow that. Couldn’t stomach it. He wouldn’t allow them to get away with it.
Still limp at his sides, his hands suddenly twitched. As if in a dream, he reached behind his back and found the handle of a knife. His fingers could barely grasp it, but he dredged up enough voracity to whip the knife out and bury it deep into Skulker’s shoulder. The knife shifted through muscle and bit into bone.
Skulker dropped him and stumbled backwards with a surprised howl. He no longer looked like he wanted to entertain the idea of putting Danny out of his misery peacefully.
Danny collapsed at the base of the tree, clawing at his throat, gasping for air. Still, Danny refused for this to be the end. He had waited, planned, and been patient. This was the closest he had been to freedom. He couldn’t die and he couldn’t go back. He would not go back into that basement. He was so fucking close, he would fucking murder Skulker if he had to.
Desperation flooded him beyond reason. Danny dug around at the base of the tree, through the snow, for anything he could use. He found a rock.
Skulker grabbed him by the ankle and dragged him backwards, roughly. His back lit with fire. Danny screamed and twisted, smashing the rock as hard as he could into Skulker’s head. The man toppled. Danny struck him again, twice, three times, as hard as he possibly could. Suddenly— silence.
Danny panted. His chest heaved. He dropped the bloodied rock into the snow and stared. With his toe, he poked Skulker’s shoulder. Little crimson bubbles fizzed in the corner of Skulker’s mouth— proof he was still breathing.
Danny tried to stand up and fell. His back screamed. He reached behind and found the handle of the knife protruding from his somewhere to the left of his mid-spine. Without thinking, he ripped it out, shoving his face into the snow to stifle his shout. Pain became nausea. He stared at the knife accusingly, before tucking it back into his waistline.
He tried to stand again. His legs wobbled and his back seized, paralyzing him. The world spun on it’s axis and Danny found himself sprawled on the snow again, puffing little agonized breathes of air.
Walking was out of the question, then.
Danny dragged himself away from Skulker’s unconscious body, away from the cabin. He used the snow as a cushion and pulled his body along. The pace didn’t matter. Any progress was ok.
After what felt like a half hour, Danny peered back and saw the red trail he was leaving behind. He laughed, giddy from blood loss. His feet and hands were completely numb. His teeth chattered and his entire body shivered. Even if he got away from the mansion, it wouldn’t be long before he died from hypothermia or blood loss, or both. His laughing grew hysteric. Over a year in captivity, only to die from snow.
He took a second to lean against a tree and dry heave. Nothing came up. His laughs turned into sobs. He laughed and cried and bled all over the tree until he regained enough steel to find his feet again. Now that he couldn’t really feel most of his body, it was somehow easier.
He wrapped his arms around its trunk to keep upright and pressed his face into its bark. He bit into it. The earthy taste of dirt was beautiful. He inhaled as deeply as he could. Then, he closed his eyes, centered himself, and listened.
Birds chirped merrily overhead.
Trees rustled.
Then, a horn honked.
Danny’s head swiveled towards the noise. With borrowed strength, Danny first walked towards that sound, then ran with an unsteady, limping gait.
A deep bark from a dog echoed from behind him. No doubt one of Skulker’s, which meant it was a purebred hunting dog. Loyal. It had probably seen it’s master and was not happy.
Danny urged his body to go faster, to be stronger— just for a little while.
That bark grew louder. It turned into a prolonged chilling howl.
Danny broke into a huge clearing the size of a football field. He stumbled to a halt, afraid of being exposed while crossing it. He could hear distant highway noise coming from the other side.
The dog barked again, closer.
No choice. Danny bolted across the clearing. The snow was deeper and harder to traverse. Danny ignored his body yelling at him that his organs were in trouble. He tugged at his limbs like they were fighting him and practically threw one foot in front of the other.
Another howl. Too close. It was too close.
Danny looked back and saw Cujo bounding towards him from across the clearing.
Frantically, he fumbled for his knife. His fingers were blue and unresponsive. The knife fell into snow. Danny was forced to take his eyes off the incoming hunting dog to look down. He scrambled, finally getting it in hand, just in time for Cujo to be upon him.
He got the animal directly in the chest, his arm somehow narrowly missing the creature’s fangs.
The dog yipped and retreated, bounding several feet away to evaluate its wound. It whined and licked at its side. Huge brown eyes turned to Danny reproachfully.
“I’m sorry,” Danny whispered. “I had to.”
The dog growled. Its ears flattened and it crouched, preparing to pounce again.
Danny stumbled back heavily. He clutched the knife close, readying himself. From underneath his feet the earth groaned.
The dog galloped away from Danny towards the treeline, back where it had come from. It’s gait grew unsteady. As it neared the edge of the clearing it lumbered around in circles, before collapsing, dead.
Danny took a step towards the road.
A series of cracking and grinding noises reverberated outwards from underneath his feet. His eyes widened, gaze diving for his feet.
Not a clearing, he thought, right before the ground disappeared and he was submerged in freezing black water.

@anakinnaberrie
“What's at stake is really how Anakin is going to turn out. Because Qui-Gon is different than the rest of the Jedi, and you get that in the movie. Qui-Gon is fighting because he knows he's the father that Anakin needs, because Qui-Gon hasn't given up on the fact that the Jedi are supposed to actually care, and love, and that that's not a bad thing. The rest of the Jedi are so detached, and they've become so political, that they've really lost their way. Yoda starts to see that in the second film, but Qui-Gon is ahead of them all and that's why he's not part of the council.
So he's fighting for Anakin, and that's why it's the Duel of the Fates. It's the fate of this child. And depending on how this fight goes, his life is going to be dramatically different. So Qui-Gon loses, of course, so the father figure [is gone]. Because he knew what it meant to take this kid away from his mother when he had an attachment, and he's left with Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan trains Anakin, at first, out of a promise he makes to Qui-Gon, not because he cares about him. He's a brother to Anakin, eventually, but he's not a father figure. That's a failing for Anakin. He doesn't have the family that he needs. He loses his mother in the next film. He fails the promise to his mother, 'I will come back and save you.' So he's left completely vulnerable, and Star Wars is ultimately about family.” — Dave Filoni, co-writer of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka

“Barriss Offee was wrong about a lot of things. She let her anger cloud her judgment and she tried to justify her actions without considering their wider effects. She was afraid of the war and she didn’t trust people she should have listened to. But she had a point about the Republic and the Jedi. There was something wrong with them, and we were too locked into our traditions to see what it was. Barriss should have done something else. She shouldn’t have killed anyone, and she definitely shouldn’t have framed me for it, but if we’d listened to her—really listened—we might have been able to stop Palpatine before he took power.” — Ahsoka Tano in E. “The Mandalorian wanted you to have this. But before you take it, I will give you a choice. This… is a lightsaber. It belonged to my teacher, Master Yoda. And now, I’m offering it to you. But you may choose only one. If you choose the armor, you’ll return to your friend, the Mandalorian. However, you will be giving in to attachment to those that you love and forsaking the way of the Jedi. But if you choose the lightsaber, you will be the first student in my academy, and I will train you to be a great Jedi. It will take you many years to master the ways of the Force, and you may never see the Mandalorian again because, Grogu, a short time for you is a lifetime for someone else. A Random Rant About Belos (Again)
I have a headache so instead of sleeping to make it go away I’m gonna drink some water and drink some TEARS
(Side note: Belos’ tears taste like pencil shavings and bird crap. Would not recommend.)
Anyways I’m just gonna ramble about the Edward/Philip/Belos/Hunter dynamic for a little while, including my own version of events (which is pretty much shared by eighty-five percent of the fandom) and some stuff that is so obvious but I want to talk about it so that I don’t have to think about it anymore. Why didn’t I just put this into a Google Doc-
Spoilers so everything is under the cut
For the sake of my sanity we’re calling the unnamed Wittebane brother Edward. Edward Carlos Wittebane. Why not, the TOH team can’t prove us wrong for another couple of months so we can do what we want.
Alright, lets start with the relationship between Hunter and Belos. It’s FUCKED UP, people. I am I firm supporter of the Philip = Belos theory (if you couldn’t already tell ;w;) and Hunter being a Grimwalker means that Belos had “the bone of ortet” (EDWARD’S BONES!!) ready for use. WHO KEEPS THEIR BROTHER’S BONES JUST LAYING AROUND?! I mean, Belos does, I guess.
There is no doubt in my mind that Hunter is a Grimwalker. I will be seriously surprised if he doesn’t end up being one. (I’ll be surprised in a good way. But still very surprised.) His reddish-violet eyes, the check mark on the adolescent stage that Belos had in the book, it’s very unlikely he’s writing about a different Grimwalker (oh brain please no). The nose shape of the Grimwalker also matches Hunter’s, which I’m wondering is a coincidence given that Edward’s nose also just happens to be shaped like that. Makes me wonder if Hunter is the first Grimwalker (at least in a very long time), and those are Belos’ notes. It’s not impossible.
Either way the way Belos treats Hunter is not okay. It’s practically unanimous that Belos is a terrible parental figure and is manipulating Hunter in one way or another. Personally I think that he’s mainly keeping Hunter alive for the Day of Unity, and doesn’t care about his feelings as long as he does what’s supposed to get done. Heck, Belos outright says that Hunter can be replaced! Even if he says it’d be a hassle. Still. He doesn’t feel guilty about abusing the poor kiddo and that’s why we see such deepset issues with Hunter’s character.
However there does seem to be a tiny sprinkle of genuine emotions in Belos’ one not-outwardly-violent interaction with Hunter. Unless it’s all completely emotional manipulation and I’m just seeing stars. But while Belos does seem to have little care what happens to Hunter in the long run, he appears to have a slight fondness for the kid. He shares a brief story about the Human Realm, Hunter is the only person we’ve ever seen him take his mask off for, and I think he likes seeing Hunter happy, even if it’s near the bottom of his “Most Important Emperor Things” list. If his ultimate plan for Hunter isn’t “Have a Sacrifice for the Titan” or “Have a Host for the Titan”, then I imagine he’d like to see Hunter make it past the Day of Unity and rule at his side.
What I’m wondering about is what leads Belos to be so terrible to Hunter, the literal CLONE of his brother who, as far as we can tell, he cared about and had a good relationship with? Who knows, maybe the TOH team with throw a huge wrench in our plans and make Edward an abusive brother or something, leading to Belos continuing that cycle by taking it out on Hunter (WHO HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT AT ALL!!). When Hunter finds out, or smol depressed man is gonna have an existential identity crisis and we’re all going to cry. We know we are. Either way, just my thoughts on that big ol’ mess. Everyone in that family has ISSUES. (And insomnia. You’ve all seen Belos’ eye bags, right?)
Now moving onto Edward, Li’l Rascal, and Hunter. (I’m probably gonna call the palisman “Red” more than once, so don’t get confused by that.) If Rascal is the former palisman of Edward, then it makes me wonder how they got that scar over their left eye (wait who else has a scar on the left side of their face that’s right BELOS) (I mean there’s really only two sides of a face that you can put a scar on, but still). It’s possible they got it in the cave-in during the disastrous Titan’s blood mission, but it’s also possible that if we’re taking the abusive brother route that Edward himself inflicted those wounds.
I’m not sure how that would make Red want to be Hunter’s palisman, but I guess it’s possible they sensed Hunter wasn’t as dangerous as he seems. I don’t have much else to say on this subject other than the idea that Rascal was probably gonna become Luz’s palisman until it spotted GG.
And finally an overlook of how Philip become Belos, because once again I believe in Philip is Belos supremacy--
Before continuing read this because it’s written and explained very well and covers a couple of the main options. I’ll wait. I don’t care how long you spend reading it, it’s worth it.
Okay so now that you’ve read that, I’ve narrowed the options down to five.
- Philip pulled a Science Man™ and either drank a potion or had a spell cast on himself so that he could preform magic without the use of glyphs or palismen. Since he’s human, he needs a source to take magic from, and that happens to be palismen. However the longer he goes on, the more “source magic” he needs, and 400+ years later he’s so degraded that he needs palismen just to stay stable, let alone preform magic.
- Philip pulled a slightly different Science Man™ and got himself trapped between realms. Whether it was accidental or Edward or someone else deliberately staged it, that’s up to you, but one way or another the weird black in-between goo slowly erodes away at his human form and, once again, he needs palismen to stay stable.
- Philip got himself cursed the good ol’ fashioned way! Either he angered a witch/demon or opened a magical box that was never supposed to be opened, or maybe the Collector was involved somehow, who knows (The writers know. The creators know. But they’ll never tell us.). The Collector could actually be applied to any of these scenarios with the right context, as seen here.
- The Titan somehow fucked stuff up. I saw this theory floating around a little while ago and it doesn’t seem too unlikely that Belos is only doing what the Titan says so that it will leave him alone. Or maybe he believes that his affliction is the cost of communicating with the Titan, and it’s a price he has to pay in order to stay in power.
- This is the most likely option: the writers sic a whole new idea at us and we love it. I have no idea what that could be, but I’m all up for new stuff I wasn’t expecting!
And thus concludes this almost TED-Talk, now if you don’t mind me I’m going to lay down for a little while and finish drinking my water. Good night/morning/afternoon/evening to you all.

Beautiful Mischief [Pt. 10]
Bad Batch x Reader • Angst/Fluff/NSFW (yknow the whole deal) • Mechanic [hidden Jedi] ! Reader • Female reader
Tumblr media
Find the answers you’re looking for
Don’t look back
Find them and keep moving forward
Even if the wound digs deeper
“Surround the main research lab and get the Kaminoans to shut down the facility in our favor”
“General, are you sure we should be doing this?” The arc trooper questions Skywalker as he’s been questioning Kenobi since they were assigned to take care of Y/N.
Y/N felt a ringing pain in her head as she started to work faster. Grabbing one of her sabers tossing it to Hunter for use before snapping the other one in half catching confused looks.
“What was that for?!”
“My chip” She frowns taking out a compartment and opening it to reveal a stage plate with a bloodied chip inside. “Answers...Echo I need you to hack into a part of the system”
“Someone’s going to have to keep them back. I can’t—“
“We’ll give them hell” Wrecker states taking post on one side of the door with Hunter replacing Echo’s side as he removes his arm heading toward Y/N watching as Anakin and Kenobi’s sabers fly right past him the second the door opened starting the fire.
Y/N covered Echo as he got to hacking into the system to get any information from her inhibitor chip compared to ones inputted in the clones. Tech put his datapad away taking out his blasters and firing back trying his best to follow what she wanted.
Don’t hurt anybody
As Crosshair set his ruffle up on their station aiming between Echo and Y/N putting his gun on stun taking down their heavies. Y/N turns back frowning when Kenobi tried to fight off Wrecker but the second he ignited his saber, she couldn’t. She couldn’t help herself.
“HUNTER” Y/N yells running toward them, Hunter immediately tossed her saber to as she ran up Wrecker’s back pushing him back and striking down on Kenobi’s saber. “You will not hurt them Obi Wan”
“Orders, are orders...” Kenobi frowns forcing her back forcing her in between him and Anakin. “I will do what I must”
“You will fall, Y/N”
Y/N frowns turning to the batch doing their best to keep their brothers away from stopping Echo and away from interfering Y/N with her fight with the two Jedi.
But
Someone’s losing
And it’s not going to be them
As Y/N did her best to block both of their swings, keeping up with their fighting patterns. She saw Echo from the corner of her eye hold up the datapad with the information they needed. She retracted her saber surrendering but that didn’t stop Anakin from slicing deep into her back as she used the force to bring the datapad in hand.
All the pain I endured in my lifetime
That should kill me
Y/N drops to her knees feeling the blood drip down her back and before Anakin could finish the job, Kenobi forced him into the wall.
“So...Ben is still in there” She laughs feeling the pain flood in other places. She handed him the datapad as he called off the battalions causing the batch to finally realize what had happened.
“I should’ve...I should’ve done this for you...instead” Kenobi dropped the datapad as he quickly caught Y/N before she fell to the ground. “Palpatine was behind this. The chip...Kaminoans—“
“Were following orders...” Y/N sighs resting against Kenobi.
Anakin groggily got up and before he could interrupt the two. Crosshair held him at gun point as Echo took away his saber with his brothers in blue following their brother and blocking the Jedi from the others.
“We have to get you back to the council...tell them everything”
“You should do that...” She laughs a bit gripping onto his chest plate. “I really think...the second I close my eyes I’m not going to wake up Obi Wan”
“Not on my watch” Hunter reassures hesitantly picking Y/N up in his arms as Kenobi orders his troops one last time to help them get to Coruscant quickly with the help of both battalions’ medics doing their best for Y/N.
——
Y/N sat up in a sand dune staring at the two suns enjoying the warmth on her cold skin.
“You’re not dying on me”
She turns to Hunter in more casual clothing sitting beside her.
“I’ll try to keep running...”
“Gotta stay strong, doll face” Cross on the opposite side of her appeared also in different attire as his face looked puffy from crying.
Oh
——
This is real
Y/N laid almost lifeless on the gurney strapped into it to avoid jostling on the ride back to Coruscant. Crosshair and Hunter on either side of her as the rest of the batch followed on the Marauder.
“The council is forming, so I can go in and clear this”
“What did Echo find?”
“The inhibitor chip has an order...meant to eradicate the Jedi” Kenobi frowns catching feeared and angered looks from the two. “Since you’re mutations and Echo has been tortured. Your chips malfunctioned and this order wouldn’t occur to its full potential. Barley feeling it or not at all. But your brothers in the armies. Would’ve turned the second Chancellor Palpatine executed it”
“Did you send the data over?”
“Your analyst did the second he received the deeper information from the Kaminoans”
“We could put her in a bacta tank”
“That’s what we are doing the second we get back to Coruscant. We weren’t going to use the ones on Kamino” Kix interrupts them and whatever thought they had about the shorter distance. “Coruscant’s medical center is more in our control than Kamino”
“To a degree” Kenobi walks back into the cockpit seeing the time duration.
——
“She could react terribly to the bacta. We don’t know how her body will handle it”
Y/N looked around at her surrounding finding herself and Tech in the middle of the forest moon.
“You...are going to put me in a tank?”
“If it saves her. It saves her!” Wrecker exclaims getting in Tech’s face as Tech pushed him away. “We need our girl”
“I know Wrecker, we are going to do our best. Well. The medical staff are.” Echo interrupts them as Y/N steps over to the clones watching them disappear the second she does.
Her mind started flooding
——
Echo stares at the tank they put Y/N in as he couldn’t stand there and watch her die or live in the bacta tank. He left when it was his rotation to watch her, lucky for him Hunter was already coming in earlier than expected and noticed his upset expression when he came early to the tension building in the room. Thinking something was wrong with Y/N but no it was Echo.
He can’t watch her struggle, deciding to live or die. He just can’t
“Echo?”
“Go away Fives. You had orders to kill her”
“Oh. Well. All over the Galaxy says that was going to happen if she didn’t do what she did. So.”
“Are you really trying to be funny?”
“Uhm. Yes. And ultimately failing” Fives sat beside his brother on the bottom bunk in the awkwardly semi empty barracks. Their brothers must be celebrating their chips becoming obsolete. “Hevy never really liked my jokes”
“Cutup and I did. We laughed to most of them and it annoyed the living hell out of Hevy when he was trying to do his job.”
“That was just the beginning. Then I become the stuck up fool following all the rules when really all we did was stare at a screen” Fives laughs catching a small one to escape Echo. “Man. Echo they would’ve been so proud of you. Maybe it didn’t exactly go in a way that didn’t result in injuries but, you and the batch gave us all our freedom back. We no longer have to follow orders like mindless robots. We are our own people”
Echo straightens up looking at Fives and feeling it all just break down. He rested his forehead against Fives’ shoulder letting the tears fall feeling his brother wrap an arm around him.
“She’ll make it. I heard she’s hella strong”
“She better...” Echo frowns. “kaysh ner ka’rta...”
She’s my heart
——
Y/N woke up in a transparent box slowly sinking to the ground holding her knees close to your chest. She stares blankly at nothing before noticing Tech in the corner propped up against the box working on his datapad.
She uncurls moving herself right beside Tech reaching to touch the box frowning.
“You’re allowed to fall apart Tech”
——
Tech looks up from his datapad finding Y/N at the bottom of the tank holding herself propped up beside him, in a sense. He made sure nothing wrong happened to the tank in case the slow fall to the bottom was a negative fact, but the more he looked into it and the more her vitals were all positive....
“You’re okay...everything is stable” Tech tells himself feeling the weight on his chest grow as he takes his specs off pinching the bridge of his nose while the tears fell.
I need you

Maven of Mutants
Max Eisenhardt began his life in a world amid mass turmoil and intolerance—Germany, World War II. He witnessed the worst the human race had to offer and while he may have survived, his family and his people were persecuted and torn apart. After the death of his parents and sister, he landed in Auschwitz where he reunited with his childhood crush, Magda. Growing to adulthood in the camp, Max continued to urge his fellow captives to fight for their freedom.
Eventually, Max and Magda escaped and fled to a small city where they married and had a daughter, Anya. Caught in a house fire, the future Magneto’s mutant powers finally emerged as he tried to rescue his family, but due to the interference of angry authorities, Anya did not survive. Enraged, he laid waste to the onlookers causing Magda to flee, fearing the evil within him.
Max obtained forged documents to change his name to Erik Magnus Lehnsherr and settled in Israel where he befriended Charles Xavier. The two enjoyed debating at length the prospects of a superhuman race before revealing their true identities to one another to thwart a Nazi criminal. The ordeal brought to light Charles and Erik’s vastly different stances on the matter of mutant rights and the two went their separate ways, each championing their ideals.
Tumblr media
Magnetic Mastery
Earth’s most powerful mutants, Magneto’s abilities are essentially limitless. He can manipulate all forms of magnetism, summon force fields and shoot electromagnetic pulses that can disable electronic devices. He can assemble complex machinery in seconds and manipulate the iron to blood to take control of people's actions. Even shown power over forms of energy on the electromagnetic spectrum like visible light and gamma rays, though he rarely uses these abilities.
Repelling Rivals
Professor Charles Xavier and the X-Men both claim the role of Magneto’s principal and longest-standing foes; however, they do often find themselves on the same team. This holds true for other heroic groups like the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Defenders, and Inhumans as well. Magneto has also had run-ins with Hydra and given his upbringing always remained their opposition. The entire United States Government also lands on the foe list—which makes sense considering the number of times Magneto has threatened, destroyed, or held something hostage in an attempt to take control of the world at large.
Attracted Allies
Magneto’s allies tend to fluctuate, but the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and Acolytes have established their places as support groups. Charles Xavier and the X-Men occasionally fall into this category as well, though they always remain wary. And finally, the New Mutants, Hellfire Club, Savage Land Mutates, and High Evolutionary have all found themselves backing this magnetic madman at some point in his long and complicated run.
Tumblr media
Push and Pull
After parting ways with Charles Xavier in Israel, Magneto began a career tracking down Nazi war criminals for a covert agency. But this affiliation ended poorly, and Magnus finally stepped over the line he’d been skirting, beginning down a path of aggression to gain mutants their rightful status as Earth’s dominant race.
Early on in his career, Magneto acquired Asteroid M as his orbital base and established a team known as the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, which notably included Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, with whom he would share a complex future relationship.
Tumblr media
Magneto traveled to the U.S. to seize the military missile base at Cape Citadel, Florida but former friend Xavier and his newly assembled team of crime fighters, the X-Men, disarmed the escalating situation.  He then laid a trap for his new foes by occupying the small South American nation of Santo Marco and setting a bomb to detonate upon their arrival. The team managed to foil these plans as, uneasy with Magneto’s obsessive war against humanity, Quicksilver helped them defuse the bomb. He and his twin sister Scarlet Witch soon left the Brotherhood to join the Avengers.
Magneto had several run-ins with the X-Men after this, usually ending in explosions that led them to believe him dead, only for him to resurface with a new group of mutants and fresh plans for world domination. Some notable attempts were his discovery of the Savage Land and his manipulation of Namor the Sub-Mariner.
After each failed scheme Magneto established different versions of the Brotherhood until he eventually used his knowledge of genetic engineering to create Alpha the Ultimate Mutant who, instead of joining his progenitor, reverted him into a powerless infant. Professor Xavier entrusted baby Magneto to his colleague Dr. Moira MacTaggert who performed experiments on the child to alter its mind. Later restored to his adult form, Magneto resumed his war with the X-Men.
After almost killing the young mutant Kitty Pryde, Magneto began to realize the error of his ways and aligned with the X-Men. Learning of a supposed relation to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as their father, he attempted to reach out, but understandably the two remained wary of their so-called reformed former master. Magneto aided in the fight against the Be yonder and finally turned himself over for his crimes against humanity. However, an attack on the trial left Professor Xavier badly wounded and Magneto reluctantly took up the mantle of headmaster in his absence, joining the X-Men on missions and mentoring the New Mutants.
This transformation did not last as Magneto’s old supremacist personality began to reemerge after he and X-Men leader Storm sought an alliance with the Hellfire Club. Magneto dethroned the Black King, Sebastian Shaw, becoming the Grey King and in so doing alienated himself from the New Mutants. He then regained control over a grief-stricken Scarlet Witch who had just lost her husband and children. Quicksilver also rejoined his purported parent, conspiring to save his sister and turn Magneto over to the Avengers. The plan worked but ended with the heroes believing the Master of Magnetism had once again died in an explosion.

From there, Magneto went on a side adventure with Rogue of the X-Men and Ka-Zar in the Savage Land that ended with Magnus killing his alleged daughter Zaladane. He then retired to solitude on Asteroid M until the mutant group known as the Acolytes pleaded for his help reclaiming the island nation of Genosha. The X-Men once again intervened and destroyed Asteroid M. Undeterred, Magneto converted the space station Graymalkin into a new base named Avalon as haven for mutants, recruiting all he could to his cause. The government and the X-Men tried to intervene and after a series of events, Magneto removed Wolverine’s Adamantium skeleton—so Professor Xavier wiped his mind in retaliation.
In a form of revenge, a mutant named Astra restored Magneto’s mind while creating a clone named Joseph to destroy him. The duplicate failed to kill the original and gave its life saving the planet: Magneto attempted to free mutants from mankind by threatening total world destruction, demanding that the UN cede Genosha to him. They did so with reluctance, with the caveat that he does not attack any other nations.
Magneto was revealed to be one of the Twelve, a roster of mutants prophesied to bring in a new era for their people; Apocalypse captured the group, hoping to use them to his own gain. However, Magneto tapped into another mutant’s powers to compensate for his waning ones and defeated the genetic tyrant. He then returned to Genosha with Polaris, yet another of his offspring—this one legitimate—and began to teach her to expand her own abilities while seeking to restore his to full capacity.
After the Legacy Virus was cured, Magneto used the mutants at his disposal to declare war on mankind, but the X-Men wounded him during their opposition, rendering his nation defenseless. Genosha was destroyed by Cassandra Nova’s Sentinels and its 16 million mutant residents executed. Again, humanity and the X-Men believed Magneto among the dead, but he remained on the island in secret to rebuild it, eventually joined by none other than Professor Xavier.
Magneto then began caring for the Scarlet Witch after she’d gone insane and attacked the Avengers. Quicksilver convinced his sister to alter reality into the world Magneto fought for with mutants as the dominant species and their father the ruler of them all. Unaware of the previous state of the world, Magneto soon regained his memories and killed Quicksilver as recompense for his actions. This led the Scarlet Witch to resurrect her brother and revert reality to its original state simultaneously stripping many mutants, including Magneto, of their powers. To restore the lost mutant gene, Magneto teamed up with the High Evolutionary; however, they only succeeded in reinstating his own powers.

Viewing their work to be noble, Magneto joined Cyclops’s X-Men on their island home, Utopia, where he worked with the team to protect the remaining mutants and fight in missions around the world. During this time, he helped Rogue battle the Children of the Vault and learned that two members of the Young Avengers may be reincarnations of Scarlet Witch’s lost sons. Though warned not to interfere, Magneto sought out his possible grandchildren and joined them on their mission to find the missing Scarlet Witch and restore her memories and sanity.
Magneto struck up a relationship with Rogue, who thus far had rebuked his romantic advances. However, when the X-Men split into two groups with conflicting feelings over the return of the Phoenix Force, Magneto stayed with Cyclops on the West Coast where he slowly worked to gain the trust of his allies, while Rogue returned to the newly opened Jean Grey School for Higher Education in New York.
With the eventual dissipation of the Phoenix Force by Hope Summers and the Scarlet Witch, the mutant gene was reestablished. Magneto joined S.H.I.E.L.D., supposedly as a double agent to protect his group of rogue X-Men; he recruited new mutants to the New Charles Xavier school, helped the world’s heroes defeat the Red Skull who had taken over Charles Xavier’s brain, and fought to stop the reality-ending Incursion of the Beyonders. During this time, Scarlet Witch revealed her and Quicksilver’s purported parentage to be a falsehood.
Most recently, Magneto once again found himself leading the X-Men, or at least a group of them, as they searched for a cure to the mutant-poisoning Terrigen Mist.  During Civil War II he fought to stop Ulysses and predictive justice, and most recently battled against the altered Captain America and his Secret Empire. There may be hope for his reformation after all…
