It's time for my bi-annual post asking where these new TPS fans are coming from.

There's a lot more of them than usual popping up from this year and late last year. Has that show hit the "nostalgia zone" or are younger people actually getting into it? If it's the latter, how and why are people learning about it now?

Tbh, the answers to those questions don't matter to me. I just wanna give my personal stance on it for the time being:

I’m not interested in the show at all right now. I'm probably not gonna draw it, or talk about it again except in reference to stuff like this happening. If you're following me with the hope that I'll somehow get into it again, then you're gonna be disappointed. (But, thank you if you decide to stay for my other nonsense. I don't mind if that was how you found me, and you're staying for other things, but don't feel obligated to stay for content I'm not making anymore).

I'm never gonna update the wiki no matter how many of you like that post now, and I'm gonna delete it now so I stop seeing the notes on it. Y'all seem to be strong enough to do that on your own anyway. Even if I wanted to, I can't remember the trivia that I used to know except in broad strokes, and I certainly can't source them anymore, which is a bad look for any wiki.

Look, I will never be able to fully separate myself from that fandom because I was in it for so long. Being a part of it was an essential part of my growth as an artist, so it's always gonna be a part of me. I'll probably still reference it from time to time, but it's not something I have an interest in going back to. My tastes have changed significantly, and it just doesn't have anything to offer the "me" of today. As such, I don't have anything to offer it either.

Bart and Danny are friends bc Dan had leveled most of the future before the Beatles took over what was left (I'm actually not that sure about Bart's backstory so feel free to correct me if something's wrong here)

Cass and Danny have staring contests alot. Sometimes the others think they've fallen asleep with their eyes open. They didn't.

Danny had a Twitter account for Phantom without Bruce knowing, but when Steph was trying to convince Bruce to let her have one she mentioned it and Danny had to delete it (he has an alt he now posts every embarrassing thing Batman does and has ever done)

Did I ever tell the story here of how I cannot delete my facebook account?

I made an account at some point in high school, but never really used it. By the time university rolled around, everyone just assumed I did so they would remind me of events by sending me things on facebook, never checking irl if I'd read it. I also kept receiving emails from the site itself about me having trouble logging in (they seemed legitimate but I obviously did not grant access to whoever requested it) so I decided to just delete the account, cut off the hassle and confusion at the root.

Turns out, I can't! Because in order to delete your account, you need to log in. And in order to log in, these days, you need to verify your identity. I thought this is what passwords were for, but no, facebook wants a picture of my id card.

I cannot fathom what they'd do with it. I refused out of principle (to protect my privacy) but what would they have done with it if I did send one? Check it against their record? They don't have one! I didn't use my full real name to begin with (to protect my privacy) and my profile picture wasn't my real face (to protect my privacy) plus it'd be over a decade old at this point anyway. They cannot confirm my identity with my id card, because they don't know what it should look like to begin with.

So, I just cannot log in. There are no alternatives. Facebook demands personal, highly identifiable information from me and they accept no other answer. I still have my passwords, by some miracle, but apparently that's not enough to convince them. They clearly still believe I use my email address (I do, kind of) but that's not enough proof either.

So they're holding my account hostage and won't delete it until I show them evidence that does not exist.

Hi everyone

You may have seen I've been inactive for the past few days and I just want to let everyone know where I'm at.

Short story is: I was hacked.

Like majorly hacked. People got into my discord accounts somehow and have been collecting my personal details across a variety of platforms from mainly there and twitch. I've been stalked across platforms and have been receiving threats of personal info leaks from my number, to banking details to my home address being leaked and its done a huge number on my mental health.

Most of what I found out I believe was just made up to scare me but apparently people found this account here too. Over the past week, I've slowly been changing all my account passwords and details as I've had to get a new phone number and email accounts. This account being changed as well.

Considering I've received no threats on here, I'm thinking they were probably bluffing about the writing and just said it out of speculation to scare me, but as precaution I've just slightly changed my username so it doesn't come up as easily to search. I've done immense privacy protection on the new email and I refuse to add a phone number to it just in case.

So why am I telling you all this?

Mainly this is for the few friends I've met and are friends with on discord. I did give them a very panicked message about this and I just haven't done a new discord account because all the personal irl ones come first and take priority.

This is also just to let you guys know I probably won't have any writing out till this blows over. What's happened really sucks and just I don't know what I'm going to do from here, but I couldn't bare to delete this account so I'm praying what I've done is enough to not have to remove this.

So, I've been wanting to switch over to Firefox but I haven't because I'm just straight up kinda lazy, but with all this talk of KOSA and with Firefox apparently being one of the KOSA-safe browsers, (I have no way of confirming this, just what I've heard) I wanna switch over just to be safe.

The thing is, how much new stuff to I have to download in order to replace Chrome with Firefox? Ik it's not owned by Google, and I've got stuff like Google-owned apps like Maps on my phone so do I have to make a thousand different changes in order to effectively switch to Firefox? Or just download Firefox, make the switch and I'm good?

Well, Firefox is just a browser. What that means is that if you want you can still use the Google apps on your phone. They aren't connected to chrome so if you remove chrome they won't stop working. You can also, if you really want, delete those apps but sign in on the browser, in your case Firefox, and you'll be able to use your Gmail and Google Maps but on your browser instead of having a specific app for that. You decide what's most convenient to you. I personally still use those apps, but if want to be extra secure and don't want to have Google tracking too much stuff about you you can choose to only use the browser.

Firefox will, by the way, give you the option to migrate all of your passwords from Chrome to Firefox. This means you have way less work. You just need to download Firefox, tell it to migrate your passwords from your Chrome (it means you have login with your Google account if I remember correctly), and it will do that for you, meaning you don't have to go and put your passwords to whatever site you use one by one. It's honestly really easy to migrate.

What do you have to understand: a browser is just an app that allows you to use various search tools. You can still use the Google search on Firefox if you want! I usually have DuckDuckGo as my primary search engine but sometimes I switch to Google (the search engine not the company) because I want to have a specific kind of search that DuckDuckGo isn't really managing to do. DuckDuckGo by the way is the search engine that tracks you less. That's why it's usually preferable if you want to not have all your search history being shared with third parties.

These are the standard search engines but you can add more if you want. You can use Yahoo or Wikipedia for example.

What Firefox allows you to do that chrome, on the mobile app, doesn't is to have add-ons, more commonly known as browser extensions. The normal Firefox app doesn't have many add-ons available but it has at least some and the ones that are available are very useful.

They're great for adding extra security protection, or just to have a better experience using the browser.

These are all 17 mobile compatible add-ons. Highly recommended UBlock Origin, Clear URLs and Privacy Badger.

You can technically have more but that will make it so you need to use the Firefox Nightly app instead of the standard Firefox. Firefox Nightly is a developer app and you need a lot of extra hoops if you wanna have extra Add-ons on your phone. To me it's worth it because it means I can have XKit Rewritten, Tumblr's saviour at this point, on my phone which almost makes me want to delete the Tumblr app. However you want to keep things simple so just Firefox will do just fine. No need to complicate things.

In conclusion:

Migrating is easy because you can migrate passwords from a browser to the other, you can still use your Google services on Firefox, add-ons are cool.

Also, I could not sign up via Google in Firefox because I kept getting a "bad request" error even after turning off cookie protection. I had to use Chrome in the end, and then deleting the account was much harder because it made me reset my password first. Don't use Google to register for things, kids!

Please note that it's possible to opt out of the seemingly mandatory following of blogs and tags during registration by simply clicking the Tumblr logo to get to your brand-new dashboard immediately. It's not intuitive and new users won't think of it, but it's possible.

Furthermore, this is not new. Annoying as it may be, it has been the case for at least a year if not more (who knows, might be as many as 5). I would love some data on that as well if anyone has it.

I made an UnVale account. It's not what I expected

UnVale is relatively new, and they sure are having a huge campaing to promote themselves recently, at least on youtube. A lot of the artist I follow there have been promoting them.

It's basically like Toyhouse or other sites to upload your characters, and it's advertised as such. But better and easier! (I'll get back to this later). It is completely free to use, and the only charges they say they will make will be on transactions made on the platform.

Creating an account is pretty easy, they just ask for usename, email and password. But oh boy, did that password give me trouble. Kept saying it needed a "special character". It took me a while to find out what was going on, because I did have special characters in there. Turns out that it doesn't consider dashes as special characters. Don't know why, it's just weird.

How is UnVale different from other character websites? UnVale is the best OC site if you're looking for a simple, easy-to-use platform. We think other sites already do a great job at in-depth customization of character profiles, so that's not what we're going after. We want you to be able to focus on creating OCs, not figuring out HTML and CSS.

Oh, it's sure is simple to use. It's really straightforward to learn, no need to figure out anything, everything is on a button in front of you. Which I agree, it's nice not to have to do a dark ritual to find where or how stuff is or works. But it also means there is absolutely no customization. There are designated places where you can add images to make it look more like you, and you can change the background color for the characters' pages. And that is all. You can't change the general color theme, nor do fancy stuff on your characters pages like adding links.

Everything is completely public. There are absolutely no privacy settings. Everyone, wether they are logged in or not, can see every user profile, every character, every world and every image.

This is everything there is on the account settings:

Absolutely nothing about privacy settings. None. Nothing. Nada. Characters, images nor worlds can be hidden, only fully deleted. Likes or favorites and comments also can't be hidden or dissabled.

How will UnVale help to protect my OCs? We take reports of art theft very seriously, and any accounts caught stealing OC art will be closed. If you suspect someone is using stolen art on their profile, please submit a Support Ticket. Outside of this, our team is brainstorming ways to keep OCs protected and is open to community feedback or suggestions.

This doesn't reassure me at all. What do you mean the only measure against theft is closing accounts? That doesn't block their access from your art and characters.

The shop, transfers, and overall marketing yourself are really highlighted. That combined with that everything has to be public makes me belive that it's not a character library for yourself and friends, but a marketplace to display your characters adopts and commissions and get bussiness and connections. Nothing wrong with that, by the way. It just wasn't what I was expecting from what I had seen and heard. There are probably a lot of people who will find it really helpful and useful. But it's not for me.

I won't be using it for now. Maybe is the future I change my mind, or they change or add features for privacy, but I don't see any reason to use it right now. It has tons of stuff I don't want, and almost none that I like or want.

Got a new PC. Only option was to get Windows 11. Fine, all good, I can install Ubuntu once I verify it's good to go.

WITHIN AN HOUR of having it, I completely break my system SOMEHOW?? Somehow I managed to accidentally DELETE MY SETTINGS APP. How? How is that even possible without me getting a warning of some kind, without the computer ONCE being like "Hey are you sure you want to do this?" No password needed to DELETE SOMETHING OUT OF THE FUCKING REGISTRY???

So, after finally figuring out that's what was going on (only symptoms of the issue were being unable to open the windows start menu and a couple other things on the taskbar and being unable to run the terminal as admin) now I'm fucking terrified that something else will just DECIDE to do shit I didn't ask it to, but I don't want to install Ubuntu yet (WHICH BY THE WAY ASKS ME BEFORE IT DOES ANYTHING, LIKE A GOOD ROBOT) because I want to make sure all the hardware is running well and nothing is broken and I need Windows to be on the system if I have to call tech support.

Why oh WHY can't I just buy a PC with Ubuntu already on it? Yes, I know about System76, but they're expensive. Alchemy of Souls: Theories and Analysis for Eps 15-16

Hello readers and plagiarists,

I am done being nice. People have truly tested my patience.

Let's take a look at some examples of people who have been stealing my ideas/theories from this blog and reposting it as their own.

Huh...interesting....I wonder who uses the line "thinking caps on"........oh right....ME. Apparently this person loves wearing my thinking cap! Illusions and memories...so thought provoking.....would they have arrived at the same conclusions if they hadn't read my blog? Nope.

Wow.....the whole never seeing the King and Jang Gang swap back and only knowing based on the conversation they had after the swap back.......AMAZING!!! ASTONISHING!!! Too bad I was the only one who pointed these things out. Naksu being able to heal her eyes because she had gathered energy after learning many spells/skills in her previous body.....WOW...wonder where they got this from? They even used the word "data" hahahahaha. You know who else uses the word "data"? People in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM)....... aka me...the scientist. In a recent dm with this person on Tumblr, I described to them how my thinking process worked (basically an adaptation of the scientific method). I told them I researched things I did not know, collected/gathered data (i.e things from the show), formed a hypothesis, analyzed data, reexamine my hypothesis if needed. So, if you see stuff about AOS endgames from this person, just know they didn't come up with those things. I was the one who told them mostly everything during a private message. It was my mistake for trusting such a despicable human being. The nerve for this person to say they had the "same thoughts" as me....same thoughts my ass.

Actually... good luck to all the plagiarists....I will not be here to explain everything that happens in Part 2!

Stupid people taking smart people's ideas just so they can receive praise. All they wanted was to feel good about themselves at my expense. They did not stop for a second to consider that this blogger right here had sacrificed time to eat and sleep just to come up with all of these ideas in the first place. All of my theories were a result of spending countless hours researching, rewatching episodes, and thinking about everything. Not to mention the many hours I spent writing and editing all these posts. These plagiarists also did not have to endure all the personal attacks I had received for all of my theories either. They received all the good things and none of the bad.

From Reddit to Facebook to Twitter, I am sick and tired of seeing so many people steal from me. I have had enough. I am trying to find the proper words to express how I feel right now, but I cannot. Hello I saw your tags on the internet safety post and tbh I just have to ask: do you know of any free resources where I can learn about internet safety? I've only recently started learning about how to protect my information and devices and could really use the help. Just like, online resources or tips if you have any?

Hi! Thank you for reaching out! I am happy to share with you some of the tips and ressources I've picked up. This list is non-exhaustive but it's a good start and I'll link some pdfs and websites I think resume well the actions you can take to have a better internet hygiene. I'll list them under the cut.

If you want, I can also do one about recruiting tactics, online radicalisation and information warfare (and how to thread carefully around it)

So tips on how to protect yourself online here we go!

We know we're annoyed when a website asks us to have a password with at least 10 characters, one capital letter, one punctuation, etc. but it's actually for a reason. Your password is the first safeguard to your account. Don't make it easy to crack.

Try and use an different password for everything. Note it in a physical notebook if you have to, or use passwords managers online (but don't stock them all on the same). Downside though, they can be expensive.

Multifactor authetification. Activate it if you can. You'll get used to it.

Compartementalizing. Have multiple email adresses for different purposes. This way, if one is compromised, you don't lose everything. However, this is only efficient if you have different passwords for everything. If you have the same password for all, then it loses its purpose

Log off your social medias after using them. Log off everything when you're done using them. Lock your computer after you're done using it. It's annoying, we're used to have everything quick, but again, don't make it easy for people with bad intentions to access your stuff.

If you are dealing with important documents, back them up every night on an external drive AND on a cloud. This way, if you catch a ransomware that asks for money in return of your documents, you still have your stuff and you won't get extorted.

Public wifi are never safe. Ask yourself, do you really need to check your bank account in Starbucks? Do you really need to make that credit card payment now? Lower the chances of having your info stlen by not waving them around. Wait for a personal and secure network to do it.

VPNs are good but you shouldn't rely 100% on them to secure your stuff. You don't know which IP you're borrowing. If you do have a VPN, shop for it. Don't take the first one you see. I personally use the bitdefender one but I don't use it for sensitive matters.

Try and program your browsing history to be deleted every night

Please please please don't watch adult stuff on your work computer. It's a gateway to viruses and malwares and also prime blackmail material.

In the same vein, don't bring work material on home computers if you are not explicitely allowed to. Because that's data stealing. And if that data is corrupted on your home computer, you'll be in trouble

Y'all have probably received a lot of fraudulent emails by now, like saying there's a federal warrant against you for [insert terrible crime here]. Once upon a time they were super easy to rule out because they were terribly written, but they're getting smarter about that. So here's what to look out for:

They will not be adressing you by name

There WILL be a time aspect, they'll make it seem like it's urgent or give you a deadline to pressure you

They'll want you to click a link (don't click it)

There won't be a phone number or office address (ways to verify they're legit)

In doubt, search the actual phone number of the agency they're claiming to be and verify by yourself (lots of countries have anti fraud centers, you can ask them too)

Talking about fishy, if you're talking to someone you know and they ask you for money in an unusual way, give them a call to verify. There's a hacking technique called harpooning, in which a third party intercepts your communications and modify it. So you might not be talking to your friend or colleague.

Do your computer updates. It's not just giving you new features it's also updating firewalls and operating systems against known vulnerabilities. The more updates you skip, the more your computer becomes a sitting duck ready to be exploited

Your antivirus is not an impenetrable wall. Sometimes good malwares slips under its detection. Good indications you've been infected is slower internet than usual and battery draining faster than usual. (malware working and using your processor capabilities)

Not all viruses and malware will leave with a powerwash. It has been seen that the whole computer had to be decommissionned (which is also why you should back up your data)

Cookies will track your activity. Install Privacy Badger. It's great! They'll explain to you step by step what they're doing and why. They're very transparent which I really like.

Adblock too. I use Ublock origin.

If you can, avoid Chrome. They're horrible pivacy wise. Firefox is a much better option.

Read the privacy policy of the websites you use. No really. Actually do it. Know what you agreed about.

Disable your bluetooth and GPS if you're not using them. Not only will you save battery but you will limit entry point to your device

Avoid posting personal information online. This one should be obvious but it's not apparently. Everything can be used for doxxing or blackmail.

Obviously there is many more thing you can do, those are just really the basics. I know it might seem like a lot, but incorporating them in your routine will make it automatic overtime and save you lots of stress. Here's some ressources you can check out:

This website offers free courses on cyber hygiene. While I haven't used it personally, it does seem legit and well structured. It also comes in 13 languages.

For those still in school: ask your IT department about cyber security measures and ressources. More and more colleges are starting to include mandatory formations on cyber security after a wave of attacks that targeted university systems and network worldwide

Your country's governement website probably has a section about cybersecurity and the laws framing it. Go check it out to learn about what you can do if you're victim to a cyber attack and which authorities are competent to handle it

TW stalking, hacking

So a few weeks ago I got an emails were someone wrote "Your password for this email account is XXX and it is not very safe." and they wanted money. I just ignored it, changed all passwords on important sites and went on. Since yesterday I keep getting emails from sites that someone tried to log in with my email from an unusual place or that I have been blocked bc they felt that weird shit happens. And I get anxious bc although these sites aren't important they are still linked to more important sites, accounts etc And it is still linked to a lot of person information (like my diary) that will bring me in hella trouble if my family finds out. That email account was my "everything that needs an email but I don't want their adds on my main account gets this address" since I was in elementary school. Like it is everywhere (and I did a lazy job with my passwords). But I can't just delete that email account bc my smartphone runs on it as well as my computer and I am afraid I won't be able to use them afterwards.

I have been stalked twice in my life (one time when I was a little child) (but they were strangers so it's no one of them this time) and I feel super anxious all the time now. When I walk around in my appartment I expect someone to be behind every corner. That hard that I am really surprised if there's no-one.

It really affects me and I can't stop thinking about (especially when there all every few hours new emails that I have been blocked somewhere)...

Hello anon, I’m sorry this situation you’re in is causing you distress and anxiety. You are valid as are your emotions regarding the invasion of privacy you are experiencing, which is a terrible thing to happen to anyone.

While I do not know much about cyber safety, I’d suggest removing the links that directs to important accounts/info (especially your diary) from the sites the hacker might have access to via your email, approaching a cyber safety professional regarding your situation will help you sort this out efficiently and quickly.

Your anxiety regarding this is valid but to reduce it as much as possible and reassure yourself I’d suggest blocking all means through which this hacker can access your information. Since your phone and computer runs on this email I’d strongly suggest completely changing the email address used in both your computer and phone to protect yourself from any major breach of privacy, this might be a very tedious process but it will protect you from serious harm (like the hacker being able to access your phone’s location via the phone’s email id in cases of apple ios or being able to access secure financial information saved in your mobile during online transactions).
