In the Golden Whistle AU Lady had two other engine friends (an OC and Proteus) who share the Gold Dust as besties do,

When she gets stolen for her strong G.D capabilities and locked up in the special mountain both engines ended up dying (the OC Theodore by him getting run off a cliff and Proteus going missing under similarly mysterious circumstances and then later found dead in a forest) and because she's locked up and inactive in the mountain she isn't Aware that the two are dead.

So come when she gets released and it's like uhh the 1960s(?) She's just getting so much whiplash as to what has changed and which engines left and stayed.

And unfortunately Lady did not take well to Theodore and Proteus' deaths to put it lightly.

Anyway, imagine Bruce and Dick’s first fight. And Dick is just so angry and he wants to push Bruce away before Bruce can do it to him (or maybe he just wants to piss Bruce off), so he just shouts, “I hate you!”

but he’s not prepared for Bruce to freeze. Then he stares at Dick just long enough for him to feel guilty.

And then Bruce justs bursts into tears.
