Regardless, I guess the answer is neither? I actually have no extraneous lighting in my home, just fixtures and table lamps.

That's a really good question. I don't know that I know the answer - I don't know that it's anything quantifiable.

I feel a frisson every time I've been away and I see the sign welcoming me back to the Mitten, and then the sign entering the county (and usually I do, because I'm generally coming home the fast way, which means interstates or state highways).

I feel something every time I see a Great Lake (even the one that isn't ours).

There is something about walking in the front door.

I love that first night sleeping in my bed again.

I suspect this is all rather banal and near-universal, though.

Home... I don't know. It's where I can be myself, I guess? I don't have to worry (or at least get to worry less). ...I hope I get to experience that feeling with someone someday.

she’s chronically offline. has social media but does not use it — her IG has one photo from 3 years ago and the only other social media she has is a facebook account she made when she was 14. her entire page is just shit her dad tags her in; photos of her he’s taken while they’re on vacation, cringey middle aged humor, the Facebook Parent works

90% of the time only uses her phone for what a phone is actually for. probably has a super old one because she doesn’t see the point in replacing it; it’s somehow in like perfect condition though

the type of gf who will get you doing the most random activities. she’s constantly trying new hobbies and always wants you to be a part of it. she’ll decide on a sunday night she wants to pick up rock climbing, have you both signed up and in the climbing gym monday

or she’ll decide on a whim she wants to take you to a restaurant someone recommended even though it’s an hour and a half drive away

she really didn’t want to be a cliche and go into it just because it’s what her dad does, but she was always encouraged to excel academically and found herself naturally drifting in that direction

she makes it look easy, but it’s really not. she gets stressed about everything a lot (particularly wrestling with worries about letting her dad down, which you reiterate she couldn’t do if she tried), but doesn’t really show anyone apart from you. you always make her feel better, though, just as she does for you with your problems

grew up well-off, but isn’t a dick about it. very generous with her money, always buying you little treats and picking up the bill despite your protests. takes you on weekends away wherever possible, or a bigger vacation somewhere tropical during the summer

honestly not the best cook… she’s just used to making food for herself, which tends to be pretty plain. gym bro meals ugh. however, has one or two incredible recipes she can pull out the BAG. makes them for you when she knows you’ve had a long day

would 100% be that post of the guy who set his alarm purposefully earlier so that he could wake up and cuddle his partner before he had to actually get up. she’s normally up before you, regardless of the day or time. abby’s an early riser; she loves the morning. you always stir with a warm drink on the bedside table, and either the sound of her pottering around the apartment or a text saying something along the lines of:

speaking of — loves movies! you guys frequent the cinema, but also like to stay in and have movie nights at home. you’ll watch just about anything together, taking it in turns to choose. when you stay in, you make it a Whole Thing. all the bedding gets moved to the living room, you buy snacks, she sits and lets you meticulously paint a face mask on her

sometimes, you’ll attentively watch the whole thing. sometimes, if you get halfway through and it’s not the best, she’ll allow her fingers to trail down from their position atop your upper arm in a manner she knows you’ll pick up on. dipping under your shirt and rubbing loose, gentle circles at your hip for what feels like forever, before nudging at your jaw with her nose and planting a light kiss. you turn to meet her, eyes flitting between hers and her lips; closing the gap and smirking against her mouth, “you’re not subtle.”

Bakugou has been holding your hand for as long as he could remember, and if he was ever unsure about that he could get Deku to back him up (not that he’d ever need that shitty nerd to).

It was your wrist he grabbed to drag along on whatever cool adventure he’d lead as a kid. Your hand he pulled away when your dumbass attempted to touch dangerous shit. Your arm he’d linked when introducing you to Mitsuki for the first time as an alibi.

No one had ever dared say anything back then, nor did he even consider reaching for your hand as something anyone would comment on. But growing up was different, and whilst no one said anything he found himself being the one to break the cycle.

Still he naturally dragged you wherever he was going like instinct if you were in range but the roughness of it was deemed normal for him. However he didn’t slip your hand into his when he noted your worry anymore, and he didn’t clasp both your hands when hit with excitement either.

In honesty he couldn’t describe his feelings on it, nor did he completely understand why it was bothering him now of all times. He’d had years to think about this, why now in the fucking UA dorms?! He felt excitement differently now (not like a giddy kid getting an AllMight card) so that explains that, but why was his excessive sweat bothering him?

That was his power, his ultimate quirk that outshined any of these extras! Yet it bothered him when it came to you, how you felt about it. It’s why he’d hesitate when reaching for you now and frustratingly chastised shit instead.

You however didn’t concern yourself with hand holding, but you did concern yourself with Bakugou Katsuki, and right now the explosive blonde was scowling at his palm with more ferocity than usual. You’d approached him with casual familiarity, pausing in front him with a raised brow to decipher what was going through his thick head. Class A watched on quizzically, they’d seen uncharacteristic interactions between the two of you before and it was obvious your presence phased Bakugou the least but this was intriguing.

Your hand appeared in his peripheral, fingertips effortlessly gliding over his palm, the one he was previously glaring at moments ago which is why that threatening look was then shot to you. Neverless you linked your hand with his own as naturally as breathing, like it belonged there.

“Katsuki, wanna fight?”

He suddenly didn’t care about the nitroglycerin generating underneath your skin, or whether you felt the heat or not, nor did he spend a millisecond longer pondering the stupid hand crap. He’ll hold it until you die. Instead he grinned maliciously at you.

“I’ll kill you!”

The remnants of Class 1A were reminded that you could snap Bakugou back to himself with just a touch, and Izuku watched on with a warmed smile as you were dragged along just like all those years ago.

Hello! I really enjoy a lot of your Penny/Maru art and headcanons. However, recently I saw you were also fond of Jodi/Caroline. I was curious as to what headcanons you had of the two and/or if you had any possible art for the ship? :0

I did see your other ask, and I was hanging onto it because I actually haven't drawn Jodi/Caroline yet but I wanted to for a while, and didn't have time to reply this week until now! I also knew this was gonna take a while to write up haha so thanks for being patient

this is the first time I've drawn them! I put a little bit of how I draw Abigail and Sam into their features c:

Headcanons and stuff below the cut because it's really long

The whole ship for me spawned from like… when I was first playing stardew, I noticed Caroline has so much dialog about how she's frustrated with Pierre for being so consumed with work that he's absent when it comes to his family. She also doesn't seem to like being a homemaker, having lines about getting takeout often, while Pierre seems to value those things, as shown in that Abigail heart event where he wants her to help with the cooking at home 😬 And in Jodi's case, she's really badly overworked and talks repeatedly about regretting having kids so young and not being able to live her life. Though after learning more about Sam's storyline, I'm a little less empathetic toward Jodi as I initially was because she's the type of mom who takes on more work for herself and then complains she's overwhelmed, instead of like, having her kids or husband do chores to ease the burden. And like of course Jodi and Caroline are always talking together in the plaza, or at festivals 👀

So this is the basis: They're both unhappy with their families/husbands, and I could imagine a scenario where they both just throw it all away for each other. If you'd want it to be extra angsty, you could have them be really conflicted and question whether it was the right choice, but they've already come that far so they're afraid that they wouldn't be able to go back even if they wanted to now. I suppose you could also have them just be cheating on their husbands if that's your thing, but I personally hate infidelity and am really choosy about how and when it's used in a story, so I would be happier with them just cutting ties and running off together.

Since I've started writing my fic, and thus had them in it as side characters, I've started writing their husbands as all being more attentive than in the canon (Demetrius to Robin especially-- I know we're not talking about them currently but I'm such a ride or die for Demetrius I feel the need to say 😂) so I haven't thought as much about this ship as I did right when I very first got into stardew valley. But I think the potential is there!!

Maybe it starts as like.. they're having these green tea afternoons together and Caroline feels so good being appreciated and listened to for once, and Jodi feels so at peace being able to relax even just for a few minutes, that they're like oh god… I kind of want this forever. This, and nothing else. It's a selfish choice but it's also something understandable, given how unhappy they are and how much they've put their families before themselves. What if for once, they put themselves first and just absolutely salt the earth on their way out? 👀

I think also that Caroline gives off the vibes that she's adventurous? It's kinda implied in some of her dialog (I think especially if you romance Abigail?) that she was a wild young woman who never saw herself settling down even though she ultimately did. In Jodi's case, she had Sam so young she never got to properly enjoy her youth. So I think they would have a blast together living out the wild 20's they never got to experience now that they're women in their 40's :3 and they kiss of course that's the most important part 😂

Well, hopefully, this can help you attain that preorder. So you're doing your part to make sure this series lasts.

The first step is to find your local comic shop. Use a search engine for that most heavenly of place that has comics.

Or if you already know search them online (they might have an online shop), an app, call the store, or visit it in person.

Now I'm using my experience from the shops I visit in the midwestern area. So this could be different in the region you're in the US (or Canada). I have no idea on the best way to attain this book outside the country save Canada. So anyone who can answer that pls chim in here.

I mean, possibly, you could buy it on their website (or their eBay shop) and MAYBE they have international shipping. Then again, if you have a US friend maybe they can do this all for you?

Preorders will begin next month. If you go in person you could put your order in. If you know those who work at the LCS they might think of you and put that in your pull list.

I know one LCS in my area, he is thoughtful enough to sometimes keep a variant that has Cass for me knowing that Wed I pull up I'll nab it. Cause he knows my weakness. That, and Rian Gonzales variants.

Likewise, the other LCS I went too. There was a clerk there who'd put stuff in my pull that she knew I'd like.

But there's always that chance they might not do any of this. So it's best to just do this person next month to guarantee your preorder.

Now let's talk about variants. Some shops if they sense there's "blood in the water" when preordering will order more comics. More comics mean more chances to get the variants (i.e. the Artgerm or Jeff Dekal ones).

There are only two variants that might be problematic to attain that I can foresee.

The holo variant from Artgerm one. Unless there's a comic convention near you that same weekend there's a good chance these might sell pretty fast. It is Artgerm after all.

Unless, your LCS is part of a "larger" chain. So one of my LCSs is a Graham Crackers which is a HUGE midwestern comic shop. So there's a really good chance I'll be able to attain all my variants.

HOWEVER....

The other LCS I go to, while they are my primary pull list really don't dabble much too much in variant covers.

This is because they're trying to make a profit and they don't see being able to make one. At least that's what I was told back when I had Batgirls on my pull.

If they do. It would be two or three copies. Like the last AAPI Batgirls variant. Said my shop owner did secure me a copy even without me asking them because they knew of my interest in Cass.

I've noticed since they "enacted" that policy they do order more of the "hotter" comics. Like I noticed a few Birds of Prey, Batman, and X-Men variants in one visit not too long ago.

Still, I know attaining the 1:25 Skylar Patridge will be next to impossible from them. They don't order 25 copies of a comic (unless it's Batman or Spider-Man).

For that, I'd recommend a larger comic shop chain (or if you know your LCS. They might order enough and you can reserve said copy via them next month).

If not...

Again, I'd recommend a larger chain with their web shop or if they have one via eBay. I've nabbed all the variants I want because Graham Crackers is HUGE in the Midwest.

If you know your shop will have more than 25 copies of Batgirl #1 please preorder the 1:25 by Patridge next month if possible.

Or wait until their website opens orders (usually a week prior to release on a Thursday.

If not... There's always a chance if there's a comic around that period (or a bit after) they might have it to purchase. However, you so won't be paying the original cost of it. 😬

Now here's my overall impression of the release. DC itself doesn't think this comic might sell. I mean they're only doing a 1:25 only for this series. That's it.

That already is 🚨 because we aren't getting a 1:50 like we did with Batgirls #1.

That is why I HIGHLY stress PLEASE PREORDER THIS COMIC! DO NOT WAIT UNTIL NOVEMBER 6th! Show your love for this character by preordering the heck out of it! Add this to your pull list!

Please do your part!

That said, please go crazy and nab these covers and variants. They ain't kidding when the last Cass solo was over 14 years ago (I'm counting Batgirl Vo1. 2). You've voiced your want. DC heard it. This is you honoring that want.

Cause if not...

Well, I can't say cause in all honesty? The old DC regime is gone. They ain't side scheming or pushing something else behind the scenes. Just this might be it for Cass when it comes to an ongoing solo.

Content creators are cutting off their noses to spite their face

Tonight as I lie in bed, I’m reading. (Lucy Worsley’s “Jane Austen at Home” if you must know). For the last few years bed time has normally been YouTube videos or instagram scrolling. More often than not F1 related.

As a Lewis and Lando fan I accepted long ago finding Lewis friendly content was hard, but there was at least lots of Lando content out there.

During the “Dando” years of McLaren there was good content if you could ignore the Daniel crazies (fans who’s god like bias goes beyond reason or reality). However now, with his second Aussie teammate on the bounce (this one people really want to believe is the driver he will be in 5 years, now), the Max fans trying to process their disbelief, the Lewis fans looking for anyone to retaliate at (because apparently it’s an eye for an eye), George fans who mock Lando because George does it (they skip the point they are actually friends and Lando gives as good as he gets) and recently Ferrari fans (I can only assume overtaking Charles and being closer to a title that he is 🤷‍♀️), Lando hating seems to have become a global sport.

And content creators, some who fall into one of the above categories (P1, Tommo), some jumping on the bandwagon (WTF1, CameronF1, FormulaBone). Some who apparently have beef with Lando for god knows what reason (Aldas) are playing up to this.

Literally there is one F1 content channel I would go out of my way to watch, Josh Revell and even he has had a pop (albeit half his content is comically admitting how wrong he was, Sir Lancelot aside).

Even The Race who, whilst their news report are generally unbiased, their race reviews have become hyperbolic personal opinions based on who they dislike.

I know I won’t be alone with this, Sergio, Logan and Carlos have been getting it all season. But I’ve actually found myself unsubscribing and ignoring people’s content because of their sudden Lando pile on. If I don’t engage, they won’t make money off me.

And if others are doing the same, I can’t help but feel they are willingly pissing off one of the largest fan bases in F1 and hitting themselves in the bank balance for it. I struggle to see the logic.

Because here is the thing. This will pass. And those casual viewers will drift away. What are they going to do from December to February with no F1 and subs down? They will find a new punching bag but the Lando fans won’t be coming back.

There really are the big 5 in F1, the drivers who bring the fanbases, sell the merch, inspire the crazies; Lewis, Max, Lando, Charles and I would say Checo. (I think Lando took Daniel’s spot 😬). If you have pissed off the fans of 4 of those drivers already I really hope you have a back up career available.

I’d rather read than tolerate or support most of the BS being put out recently. Because if your issue is someone grew up and at the first chance at a championship they refuse to be an arse, I can safely say I wouldn’t make time for you in real life. I sure as hell don’t have to online.

So I asked a while ago about which of our main men would change the most/least of their novels if they went back to the start (and I really loved the answers)…

But how do you think it would work vice versa? If our leading ladies went back to the start who do you think would change the most of their respective novels?

I feel like Marianne and Emma would probably change the most… but most of them would change things quite a bit I think.

Except maybe Fanny not out of lack of want to change things but because she has so much difficulty speaking up. I’ve got to admit I’m swaying back and forth on Lady Susan and Anne though. Bc Lady Susan is just arrogant enough to think that if she knows when/how things are going to go wrong then she can prevent them even when it’s something out of her control or that she doesn’t know the actual cause of. And Anne is quite a lot like Fanny in that she has trouble speaking up and also bc up until Lyme Wentworth is still very angry with her and I’m not sure there’s anything that she could do to mitigate that before then…

I think the person who would change the most is Elizabeth Bennet, she's the only one who has someone she absolutely needs to save. (And Jane Bennet if we are counting her as a heroine.) Fortunately, I think rescuing Lydia would be in their power. Elizabeth would actually flirt with Darcy and she could drop hints about Jane loving Bingley. I think they could prevent Bingley from leaving and through that, prevent Lydia's trip to Brighton (ie take her somewhere else exciting with their wealth, as they take over the care of Kitty in canon). Also, knowing his true nature, they'd likely start some sort of whisper campaign against Wickham.

If only Elinor time travels, she would hopefully be able to inform Colonel Brandon about Willoughby earlier and stop W's romance with Marianne, but I don't think she could stop W&M on her own because she doesn't have any evidence of Willoughby's wrongdoing. She'd at least be prepared for the Lucy reveal and she knows it will turn out okay. I think she'd be intelligent enough to just not touch that and let nature take it's course.

Marianne would go for Colonel Brandon and snub Willoughby, it'd be delightful!. Poor Willoughby would have an ego crisis losing to an "old" man.

Anne Elliot doesn't have trouble speaking up, in my opinion, she just knows it's useless. She's been living with her father and Elizabeth for long enough to know that they won't listen to her. However, she would know the future which would be comforting at least and maybe she could prevent the Lyme fall. I think Wentworth would still wake up to his true feelings even without the fall and Anne is selfless enough to risk it.

Catherine Morland would likely avoid Isabella and her best to keep James from entering into his engagement. She would eagerly look forward to each time she knows that Henry Tilney is coming and would not even accuse General Tilney of being a murderer, not even once!

Fanny Price is actually kind of cruel, because the future would horrify her but I don't think she could do anything to prevent it. Edmund is ineffective, Maria wouldn't listen, and I don't think Fanny would dare approach Sir Thomas. So she'd just be EVEN MORE of a Cassandra and in acute pain the whole time. The fact that she ends up with Edmund would only be a minor consolation, given her personality.

Lady Susan would try again with her better knowledge, she might even succeed 😬 the horror!

Lastly, Emma. She's a tricky one because I don't know what she would do. She knows Elton sucks, she knows Jane and Frank are engaged, she's ashamed of her behaviour... Does she encourage Harriet to accept the first proposal or do the same thing as last time so she can enjoy a year with a friend? I think she would refrain from encouraging Harriet about Elton, and therefore avoid that heartbreak. Could she wiggle out of Elton's proposal? I don't know. It's going to happen eventually. She may discover that without her flirting with Frank, Knightley doesn't discover his feelings, so she's got to stick as close as possible to her original actions to prevent disaster! However, she would avoid the Box Hill debacle and refrain from bringing up Mr. Dixon with Frank.

Alex Norouzi’s Aston Martin car idea came from The Aston Martin British Bloodline exhibit that was on display at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in November 2024, celebrating the 111-year heritage of the British marque during the race week. The exhibit featured a collection of Aston Martin vehicles, including the Vanquish V12 flagship.

The display was part of the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024. It celebrated the launch of the DB12 Goldfinger Edition, which marked the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film Goldfinger. That race week SH and Alex were in the Las Vegas Grand Prix 🏎️ and visited the exhibition to see the Aston Martin Vanquish V12 that Norouzi picked up from the dealership in New Port Beach a month later (in the video above)

In December 2024, when Alex bought the Aston Martin the origin of his Sassenach lifestyle was clear. 🥃 Twenty years ago, when he moved to L.A., his taste was quite tacky. 😬 However, this luxurious journey over the past four years around Sassenach has helped him find the inspiration to update his style and taste.

Which raises the question of style. I think Alex was at his peak with his Sassenach lifestyle in 2024, very different to his 2004 lifestyle which was just "less classy". It lacked the simplicity and of course, the quality in his tastes that have seen his Sassenach style adopted (in just 4 years) and funded by women who don't have much knowledge of what they drink but are trying to appear to be what they are not exactly, like AN's pretended sophistication which is not at all iconic to Aston Martin.

As he said is a mid-life crisis, but not all men are ostentatious and there are many reasons why a man might behave in a certain way: Alex is a man to believes that their value comes from adding monetary values to socialise and impress others. That means a lack of emotional connection: He might not know how to connect on a different level because he wasn’t raised to observe another type of behaviour.

Alex Norouzi recently became wealthy and enjoys spending money in an obvious way. He can show up his Ashton Martin and spend his money as he wants on things he doesn't need. Just stop ramming their wealth up everyone’s noses, which also serves Sam who introduced him to this Sassenach lifestyle.

Because in terms of refinement, neither of them has yet discovered the meaning of quality of excellence in thought, manners, and taste. So, Alex carries an Aston Martin in his pocket and flaunts wealth like any nouveau riche without inherited riches.

If you're wondering how AN has amassed his wealth, it's important to note that in his partnership with SH and Sassenach, a small alcoholic beverage brand, he has not made substantial contributions due to his profound lack of knowledge of the alcohol industry.

Sasenach business is primarily online and relies heavily on SH's female fanbase, who often wait in long queues outside wine and liquor shops just to see their idol. Many of these fans purchase drinks they don’t consume or save the bottles for decorative interior purposes.

A key question remains: why did Sam choose AN as his business partner in an industry where he lacks experience and knowledge? Alex does not exhibit strong potential, and partnering with SH presents significant risks—particularly due to the absence of clear expectations and support systems to address the knowledge gaps within the company.

Nevertheless, His Sassenach lifestyle’s profit was slashed after he bought the car, and now they are rushing to sell whisky and gin after spending so much money on an unplanned large purchase. Some are boring idiots.

Jotaro wasn’t one to tease others with fun and games, and everyone who has at least seen him knew it too.

But did it feel satisfying seeing you that flustered for the first time in his life. He always had that need to “get back” at you for all the times you approached him with this… certain type of manner.

One that wasn’t obnoxious and loud that the other girls from his class would lay onto him or one that gave off as desperate and clingy. What made yours different was subtlety- the type that seemed ordinary but had a certain motive underneath. And it drove him crazy.

Honestly, what he’d done was fair. One act compared to your many playful jabs? Reasonably justified.

From this point on, Jotaro doesn’t know what would happen next considering he said what he said to you back in the small restaurant. He might as well assume that you’d find ways on how to hide in a corner just to recollect yourself. That’s how it always goes in the movies he watched at least.

The guys went back to their respective rooms, including you following close behind at a snail’s pace. He’d risk a glance back just to check whether you still felt that embarrassment from earlier, but that he’d rather maintain his nonchalant attitude no matter what.

Jotaro unlocked the door to your room and stepped inside, letting you close it after him.

What was left for tonight was to get some sleep and continue on with this trip. He kicked his shoes off to the side, sat on his side of the bed, and-

Just as he was about to lie on his pillow, all the room lights turned off, leaving only the moon outside to illuminate the small space. “I have to admit that your little act a while ago was clever. Obviously, it got to me and you got what you wanted out of it. However…” He heard the clear click of the lock. “Don’t expect me to let go of this stunt of yours that easy.”

In the darkness, Jotaro watched your figure walk across the room with deliberate steps. You didn’t stop by your side of the bed, but kept walking until he gazed up at you standing beside him. He cocked his brow and crossed his arms. “What are you doing?”

With that off to the side, your fingers returned to comb through his curls, trailing one finger down behind his ear. A pleasant tingle ran its course throughout his body but he made sure to not show.

The tip of your finger continued to trace down the column of his thick neck and collarbones, until you grasped the golden chain of his collar. “Because you wanted to play back, it confirmed one thing that held me back,” You tugged at the accessory, hard enough to pull Jotaro forward a bit. “That my feelings aren’t entirely one-sided.”

Jotaro had to thank you for closing the lights because with you suddenly being this aggressive had his face fuming. To make this situation worse, he knew you weren’t lying.

He did like you too but he didn’t want to admit it. And now the consequences came to bite him in the ass.

“I think it’s only fair I get something in return, hm?”

Jotaro still held himself together but for how long? He wasn’t sure. He could only put up his facade on normal situations but this wasn’t one of them. “I don’t know what you’re talking about…”

Without averting eye contact, he let Star hover quietly behind you with the intent of prying you off him to get this evening over with. It almost worked but the second he caught you smirk for a split second, he knew.

The delinquent clicked his tongue as he physically felt the fabrics tighten significantly around his Stand’s limbs. Now, he couldn’t move his arms and legs in the process.

You, and by extension Silent Sanctuary, had already anticipated his next move.

“I knew you’d try to push me off,” you giggled. “Not this time though.”

Jotaro furrowed his brows and swallowed at the creeping sensation trailing up the length of his leg to his crotch. Only when he gazed down did he found out that one of your Stand’s fabrics was the thing that played around with his belts. He jolted when he felt your finger gently grazed the shell of his ear.

“I’ve always wanted to try this at least once in my lifetime,” you purred with your face always inches away from his. He gritted his teeth as your damn finger traced a line down his chest, his abs, and-

Shit. Jotaro couldn’t control how his entire body warmed all over or how a bulge had grown underneath his pants. It didn’t help that his heart couldn’t stop pounding. Fuck fuck fuck.

“Get… Get off,” he said with little bite to his voice.

With those words, Jotaro could tell your gaze softened in the dark room. “Why aren’t you fighting back then? Couldn’t you tell I’ve gradually loosened Sanctuary’s hold on you?”

To think of it, he could move his limbs around a little even with the fabrics still wrapped around them. Why didn’t he feel them slacking? Was it because… Oh… Oh no.

“Last chance, do you want me off or no?” You muttered into his ear, coy and sweet but with traces of genuine concern.

The delinquent couldn’t say anything. He could only stare into your eyes with the same furrowed brows, heated cheeks, and pressed lips as he did nothing to shrug off any of the fabrics encasing his extremities. Fucking hell.

A minute goes by and you broke into a small grin. “Interesting. Looks like I get to have my payback after all.” Jotaro gritted his teeth as simultaneously, all the fabrics on him tightened harshly. “Care to guess what that might be?”

He thought about what it could be but your finger toying with the skin by his ear combined with the silk lightly pressing against his crotch is making it hard. “Y-You tell me.”

“Well… it’s quite synonymous to what you looked for from me.” You leaned close until he could feel your breath brush past his ear, your teeth grazing its shell. He shivered and writhed a bit as the cloth added a bit more pressure on his bulge, slithering around to make sure it’s covered entirely. “Perhaps an audio cue like-”

In one heartbeat, you bit onto his ear the same time your Stand pressed against his crotch with enough force to make Jotaro buck his hips with a deep, resounding groan fleeting past his lips- one that faded off as the sound of his panting followed.

“That.”

You smirked and drew back in an instant together with your Stand’s fabrics. Without the restraints, Jotaro was able to sit upright, unsure whether to cup his bitten ear or traitorous mouth. Either way, he surprised himself from what he uttered out in the moment.

But he does know how to send a “what the fuck” glare towards your direction. Not that you were affected by it much when you skipped to switch the room lights on and unlock the door. You smiled at him with a cheeky face he wanted to do stuff with. “Now you know that you can’t out-do the professional.”

Probably from whiplash, Jotaro winced as his head throbbed lightly. “Where the hell are you going? It’s late.”

“Going off to Pol’s room. I have some gossip I wanna share with him,” you said as you opened the door. “Sweet dreams!”

Frustrated with himself, Jotaro scoffed and called out. “ Oi! You get back here woman! We’re not done!” But the door had already closed behind you as a receding “I like you too!” echoed into the room.

The delinquent slouched back onto the headboard and raked his fingers through his hair, taking a deep breath to cool his warm cheeks and steady his beating heart. He clicked his tongue when he now had to deal with the tent still evident in his trousers.

And despite their exchange, he smiled to himself. “That minx.”

Pardon me for asking, but do you plan on uploading your Urbz sims as bases? It would just make things a lot easier in the long run for me.

Hey! I hope you're doing well. 😊 I want to be completely honest, when I created these sims, I created them without the intention of sharing them. I simply would've never thought people would like them so much and that's why I didn't really pay attention to the sliders and custom content I used to create them. I guess when I started this project I didn't want to restrict myself and just see where the whole thing would lead. Unfortunately, this is exactly what made it so incredibly difficult for me to share the sims and is actually one of the reasons I started creating lookbooks instead. Thereby I can not only track down as much cc as possible, but also give at least something to you guys. Especially make-up and specific sliders are extremely hard to find, which are the most important factors when it comes to the sims' aesthetic. I see no point in sharing sims if they don't look true to the original. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I sometimes struggle to meet every individual requirement or expectation. I want to share the sims but also respect the creators and give credit where credit is due. I want to share the sims as accurate as possible without issues but how do I do that if certain pieces of cc are not available anymore or links are gone? Do I re-upload them? Change the sim to a point where I don't feel comfortable with the final result? These are just some of the thoughts that cross my mind and quite frankly it sometimes spoils the fun for me. It starts to feel like a duty and that's what I wanted to avoid at all costs when I started my Simblr a million years ago. However, to finally answer your question. I'm definitely planning on sharing the sims, yes. I just don't want to make any promises. I'll, as always, do my best to make it happen. That's all I can say for now. You said you wanted to use them as bases so if you would like to have the sims without cc I could upload them, though I think sliders will be neccessary nonetheless. Let me know what you think.

RL Story

N. & I were in that drug clinic at the hospital, where I’m going to deliver. I had my usual prenatal check-up. I also asked the doctor for our babies sex. And yea, I was right! It's a BOY!!! 🩵Yeyy, I was so happy! I couldn’t wait for our baby to be born. And Nico was happy too. He was so excited. This time we could see our Baby really well on the screen. I saw his tiny hands, feet, his head and he also showed us his backside. He just turned around during the exam. Nico said our son looks like an Alien, because he had such a big head, but that’s normal, the doctor explained. And everything else was fine too. I was so relieved. I was always so worried about our baby's development. Those damn pills, yk? That’s exactly why I had an appointment at the drug clinic that day too, that was in the same building as the hospital. (A huge hospital.)

On my first visit at this hospital, 5 months ago, they told us what my treatment here will look like. As you already know, I didn’t like it! But I had no choice. I did this for my baby. Because IF my baby is affected by that Neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), he is in the best hands here. Her are the pros, so.... I just had to deliver at this hospital. (I’ve explained it all before and I don’t want to do it again.)

However, a doctor called me into his office/examination room, after I took a drug test....

Doc: Well! So far everything is fine. And after delivery, you have to come here once a week to get your pills.

Me: Yes, I’m aware of that. But how long do I have to do this treatment? Actually, I already have a doctor. Also I wanna quit those pills.

Doc: Before we talk about quitting, there are a few other things to deal with. Believe me, you don’t want to go through rehab after delivery. You will need good nerves! Heroin addicts never really quit anyway. And as for the duration of the treatment, we usually plan to accompany you and your baby here for a year. If everything goes well, you can switch back to your GP earlier.

Me: I have nothing against being treated here, I just don’t understand why a social worker has to accompany me? I mean those home visits. It's a invasion of my privacy. 😒

Doc: I’m not a social worker, I’m just taking care of your substitution treatment. And frankly, I don’t have time to argue with someone like you. My job is your addiction!

Nico: Your job doc, is to help and answer questions all day long.

Me: N.!! 🤦‍♀️...😬

Nico: What?🤷‍♂️😠 .. We're off the beaten path here. It’s unreasonable to come here with a little baby once a week just to get your pills. Ana has seen Philip a couple of times during the summer. However, Ana has agreed to help Philip in court to get custody of Annabelle back. And she also needed Nico's and my help for this. So we’ll talk to Philip and help him of course. But what really was going on between Ana & Philip??? I didn't understand yet. 🧐

Also, I met Daniel. I was on my way home after work. This meeting was purely coincidental! It was not agreed between us.

The more shocked I was when I saw Daniel with another girl. I was..........just crying. 🤦‍♀️💔💔💔And since I’m such a jinx, he saw me too. 😖But the worst thing was........... I’m gonna do something unforgivable. 😢

Onyx Storm RECAP ch43

Bex decided to channel her inner Aaron Sorkin here so we get a chapter that's just...people talking. (Free fanfic idea: Xaden & Ridoc doing a White House walk & talk, with dick jokes, you're welcome.)

This chapter almost certainly contains a ton of FORESHADOWING that I may or may not have captured for your attention.

WTF is happening in ch43?

Quest squad regroups after the encounter with the irids.

Violet says there's no point in visiting the last inhabited isle, Loysam (dedicated to Loial, the goddess of love), because that island doesn't have an army. It's time to go back to Basgiath and see what's happened while they've been gone.

Will skipping the last isle be important? Is the secret to saving Xaden actually on Loysam? Or was this isle quest just getting too long? Guess we'll find out eventually.

Violet & Ridoc walk into the woods so she can come clean about the fact that Xaden has been venin for months. Ridoc says all the things a reasonable person who isn't in love with Xaden would say about the situation. (He's bonded to a powerful dragon, he's the Duke of Tyrrendor, AND he's a dark wielder. Great.) This is a fantastic moment for Ridoc and also a moment that makes me think he's doomed (sorry).

Violet admits she's selfish when it comes to Xaden, and maybe a little self-destructive these days. She says there's no rider alive who could stop Xaden even now, and admits that she won't/can't hurt him. (I feel confident that this will be put to the test eventually and it fills me with DREAD.)

Ridoc pushes Violet to define "the line" where he's not Xaden anymore, and Violet draws it at all the bad stuff we hope Xaden never does—kill civilians, hurt a dragon, hurt Violet. Ridoc seems satisfied, and gives her another round of "the four of us (Vi, Rhi, Ridoc, Sawyer) are stronger together."

Xaden is waiting for them and acquiesces to Ridoc's demand that the Scooby Gang be brought into the Xaden conspiracy to help protect Violet. He says that if it's between him and Violet, he chooses Violet every time, and to "kill the other guy I become." 😬

Ridoc leaves and Xaden tells Violet that he feels responsible for fucking up the conversation with the irids, that maybe if he hadn't been there things would've turned out better. (I'm never going to forgive the irids for calling Andarna the thing that they abhor so...fuck them.) Xaden is clearly full of guilt and self-loathing, and says he's the worst possible thing for the mission, for Tyrrendor, and for Violet.

Quest squad heads home but everyone's in a shit mood, especially Andarna.

Warm welcome on the flight field from Rhi & Sawyer, but of course General Aetos has to appear and ruin the moment. He hands Violet a letter from Theophanie, which is full of her usual creepy stalker vibes.

Chapter ends on a downer: while they were gone, the capital city of Poromiel, Suniva, fell to the dark wielders.

Queen Maraya is dead. That means Tecarus is king...for however long it lasts.

So, what did we learn on this adventure to the isles?

Violet stepped up as a leader on this journey, making decisions and setting priorities.

Xaden had a lot of good Wife Guy moments, including 2 that almost seemed like...a marriage proposal.

Mission to get allies = success. 40,000 troops from Zehyllna.

Mission to recruit the irids = failure.

I'd like to remind everyone, once again, that dragons aren't necessarily good or trustworthy, even the special ones.

Pay attention to the fact that we were shown, repeatedly, that less color=less magic, and more color=more magic

Unnbriel wants dragons. It's almost certain that they were the isle who helped the Krovlish rebels 200 years ago, then abandoned them when they didn't produce the promised dragons.

We got some good clues about Violet and the meaning of her silver hair. More on that soon!

Xaden's mom isn't a venin, but she sucks in an entirely different—and very human—way.

Asher Sorrengail knew a fuck ton about the isles, enough to write 4 (!!) books, one each for Deverelli, Unnbriel, Zehyllna, and (we assume) Loysam. How did he manage it??? When did he find the time?

Hi Nike, I wanted to ask this since Nesta had been the topic not long ago.

I saw some anti's use the excuse that Elriel couldn't be endgame because Sjm planned a threesome scene with Nesta/Azriel/Cassian and had to change it because of their editors and it would have been weird since she did plan Azriel to sleep with his sister. (That's what I read but maybe it's wrong, feel free to correct)

What do you make out of this? Do you think they changed it because she wanted Elriel to happen? I couldn't find much information on when this all happened and/if Elriel had been the plan at that time. You did mention things about the dynamics between Mor/Cassian/Azriel weird, but if this scene would have been involved then that would have been weird as well

None of them think that SJM wrote the scene for fun, but then didn't include it because it would be ultra weird for Nesta and Cassian's relationship? And not Azriel so much. Though regardless of who Azriel ends up they would be somehow related to Nesta, and it's also weird?

We've already had this insane dynamic between Cass/Az/Mor for 500 years. One of the most hated things in the fandom. A totally unresolved thing too. Yet people think we'd need MORE of this?

Also, how does it make Cassian look? He already didn't look great in some scenes--now, he is letting his brother fuck his mate? Like, wut? All that big talk about mates and males being obsessed with their mates and then he is all casual like, sure, have a go!

We KNOW that SJM is desperate for a 3some scene, and under the current circumstances, the one that would makes sense would be BoE, and it would feel natural and not strange.

Also, how would it feel not predatory when you have this traumatized, very depressed woman, who uses sex as an escape and who is recovering from enormous trauma, to be spit roasted by her mate and her brother in law?

I think that however SJM wrote the scene, it wasn't 'real'--meaning, I think it was just an expanded scene of the fantasy that Nesta had. So there was never an actual threesome in 'real life' between all of them. But even that felt out of place and strange, so she only left the bare bones of it.

I don't think anything changed fundamentally. She just augmented the fantasy scene and shortened it and didn't make it explicit.

I HC Purgatory to be a neutral yet judging ground for spirits, demons and angels. Any one of these three are allowed to stick around forever or await their trial.

One restricted area could be the spirits awaiting their trail bc their sins’ weight equals their virtues’ weight. This could be the judge and/or jury deciding their fate depending on the severity of their sins. “But he/she/they had many achievements like helping out their community!” “Yes but let’s not forget their literal crime(s)!”

In another restricted area, the most vile spirits and Demons meeting up angels like prisoners chatting with their friends and loved ones, separated by a clear barrier. Spirits saying their last words before their trial and demons given the rare chance to see the ones they genuinely care even after so long. The guards watch, making sure no foul play or sus behavior from either side is at hand.

However, the demons sent to Hell for lesser crimes have to wear a bracelet tracker that prevents them from escaping. They have more freedom to walk around certain areas and chat but aren’t allowed into Heaven.

Canon HB is now the walking stereotype of horrendously written yaoi instead of talking about assassins from Hell. Ngl, canon yaoi is worse than canon yaoi these days compared to the distant past of the 2000s. Because at least for some modern fanon Yaoi people, they are somewhat civil and don’t shove their precious ships down others’ throats. I mean some ppl at least did their research and be like, “huh, yaoi/yuri is no different than heterosexual ships. Just gotta keep things canon accurate, no bashing man.”

However! When there’s canon Yaoi, ppl usually become uber cultish. “But It’s can0N! How dare you!” Bitch what? I didn’t see such close minded behavior on the canon cishet ships!

When allegations of Viv popped up like years ago, several ppl and I thought that behavior callouts were small/petty compared to actual legitimate grievances. But when the real evidence of her genuine misdeeds showed up in the 2020s (underpaying workers, the playbill incident, etc.), I was like “if there’s hard evidence of the latter then those people were right about the former being a person with a nasty attitude.”

Ngl, preordered apps are more trustworthy than prepaid physical items bc you never know when you might get ‘em. I really dodged a bullet with the fraudster’s merch when it comes to online shopping. I’ll just go to other ppl’s shops thank you very much.

The anti/pro shipping discourse is petty compared to what’s mentioned above! Both sides have their extremists and close minded sheep! I’m an ex anti, I felt like a weight has been lifted after unfollowing some rabid antis years ago and deleting some anti reblogs. I applaud the antis who don’t associate themselves with the misinformation spreaders (doctored or just no evidence), harassers and doxxers ruining people’s lives over fiction. (Unless there’s clear hard evidence of that person doing criminal activity.) I also approve of the pro shippers who don’t but into other ppl’s turf that clearly said “DNI X”. I mean if someone’s not comfortable or detests certain things, just move on or even block. Not create a hate campaign on those users.

Not all antis and proshippers are the same! People have their own experiences! Yes, taste of fiction is subjective but if that preference is seen as genuinely problematic in rl, it’s best to not get too comfy showing that off. I mean why are most ppl giving y’all the side eye for that?

I agree. I was a fan when COVID hit and as a result I embraced the fandom. I really thought we were going to get something great with her verse, but as you said she's too much of a fangirl of her own work and not a creator who focuses on a good story. She favors the fandom part of the creation rather than the product of it. And all of what you said would have made a better story than what we got here.
