☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?

literally all my fics it’s out of my hands if I ever get one done or not lol

seriously though uhhh I do have a fic idea it’s an aichi cafe au fic where ai owns a cafe and she’s literally the only worker there lol shes finally moved out of her dad’s house and is trying to make it on her own. She makes it work tho bc she’s a robot and she can do a lot at once. One day when business is slow there’s a cat sitting outside and meowing and ai goes to it and is like “aw kitty :) are you hungry? let me get u something to eat” and she goes back in to get smthn for the cat to eat and when she comes back out ichi is there and this is like their first time meeting in this au. Ai is like “oh, is this your cat?” and ichi is just staring at her looking mortified and then he just SPRINTS away and ai is just left standing there like “uh… ok then” and she places the bowl of food down for the cat.

the cat keeps on coming back, and sometimes more cats come over too, so she leaves out a bowl of food and a bowl of water for them whenever they come back. the cats catch the attention of customers, so more people come to her cafe. ai is grateful for the business, but it’s starting to overwhelm her a little and also she has just been feeling really lonely ever since she moved to Akatsuka, so she posts up some help wanted ads around the town.

cut to ichimatsu sitting in his living room staring at the help wanted poster he had gotten from when he went to the grocery store with osomatsu the other day. he doesn’t know why he grabbed it, but he did, and he hid it from osomatsu in his hoodie pocket as he walked out of the store, and he kept it hidden until he finally worked up the courage to stare at it for like an hour, his thoughts racing like “why did I even take this home with me, it’s not like I even have a chance of being able to get a job, let alone have the chance of being able to work with a cute girl you dont even know… this is her phone number on here right? a cute girls phone number…” and then he’s like “IDIOT THATS PROBABLY JUST THE PHONE NUMBER FOR THE WORK PHONE THERE!! AND ITS NOT LIKE SHE HANDED IT TO YOU PERSONALLY, YOU GOT IT FROM A FUCKING HELP WANTED FLYER” and as he’s like banging his head against the floor one of the stray cats he takes care of hops in through the window and like is being all cute and ichi is like “awesome yes a distraction I’m never going to think about this ever again because I have no chance of ever being able to exist in society” and then the cat just takes the flyer and runs away and ichi is instantly booking it down the street trying to chase after it.

back at the cafe, ai is just doin her thing, and she thinks about the guy that ran away from her a while ago. Her mind has been wandering back towards him lately, wondering what was up with him and why he ran away. Just then, she hears the cat meowing outside, and is like “omg it’s that same cat!” And she goes out and right when she does ichi runs up and then he freezes when their eyes meet and ai looks down and sees the help wanted poster in its mouth and then she looks at ichimatsu and asks “do you want to work here?” because 1) this is quite literally kismet via cat 2) he must be the one that attracted the cats to come here and 3) she really needs the help. and ichimatsu is just staring at her like 😦

hard cut to ichi standing behind the counter with an apron just over his hoodie wondering how he even ended up in this situation lol

it’s basically just a cute slice of life fic where ai and ichi work at a cafe together and get closer to one another ^_^ ai also ends up meeting his brothers and many other characters, and she starts to feel more at home in Akatsuka, and with ichi <3

the whole fic was inspired by Music For Animal Cafes by Nobonoko. I have all of the chapter names written down and almost all of them are based off of some of the songs from that album, is some of their other EPs and singles (some of these i might change and I might add more if I actually get to writing this lololol):

Ans: Ooh. Well I technically go to Mass on Friday bc where I live Sunday is a weekday! And I fucking hate going. I worked out an arrangement with my parents about skipping once every 2 weeks! So yeah, I HAVE been stubborn about not going.

2. Did I participate in Mass or did I daydream?

Ans: I daydream. Maladaptive daydreaming stuff.

3. Have I prayed everyday? Have I read the Bible? Have I been rebellious to God and his commands?

Ans: no, no yes

4. Have I misused the name of God by swearing and cursing?

Have I told the Father that I love him for creating me and making me his son/daughter?

Help okay I remember school drama that happend last month lol💀

Tw: self harm mentions!!

Tomato and banana was together for like 3 months and for some reason they had sex in the school yard??😟😟 and like 2 weeks after that

They broke up and tomato got super sad but then tomato falls inlove with mandarin but mandarin and banana are friends so banana starts to talk smack about tomato to make mandarin feel less of her.

But tomato and mandarin ends up getting together but it only lasts 1 week until mandarin breaks up with tomato because of her self harm and he wants to focus on football🥺🥺

And like obviously tomato gets sad and for no reason at all she sends men at banana and mandarin and the men threatened them both to death and like they were going to shot them😦😦(as I know the men was in their mid 20's)

After that tomato posts on her insta about all the allegations that she sent the men on mandarin and banana and she confirms them, and a person in our grade snitched to the principal about this and the principal called the police on tomato.

Yk what fucking happens next??💀💀 the police charged tomato to give banana and mandarin 8k each and I have no idea if this is true but my friend told me that tomato dad said to her that he wanted to punch the living hell outta her😭😭

And I don't know if this is a coping mechanism but the day after tomato got called in the police she came to school with a t-shirt and I could see like +20 fresh scars on each arm and it can be triggering for people and I dont understand why she would just show up like that

Massive inf au appreciation post, this thing is..rllyy long..

The infected au was made on 2/2/22, today is 2/2/23. The au is officially 1 year old!! :D

The au has come a long way and I am so happy I was able to see it grow to be what it has become today, from the beginning to now. This post is basically how the au came to be, the way it affected me as a person, and more extra stuff!!

Also heads up! Nearing the end of this paragraph there is a bloody eclair edit! Beware!

HISTORY

THE AU & ME

The infected au was formed by a lot of people! Me and a bunch of my other friends (Norman, Roffy, Shun, Klee, Mags, and Trophy) were in a GC that was initially made to raid a server with this one weirdo guy but we don't talk abt him erm, anyways!! The idea to make an au came from Norman. He sent an eclair sprite edit with the text "I might make this an AU if I really wanted 😦" the sprite edit was eclair but really injured and. miserable. We decided to make a server and began brainstorming in there!

Now you might be wondering (no you arent) how did all the creators meet? Did you know each other from another server??

We all indeed meet from another server, we all actually met from a now-deleted cookie run rp server! Ironically enough Norman was the first person I rped with LFAMSSOA anwayys coughs so much erm. yeah!! I have this really vivid memory where Roffy, Norman, Klee, and LEMON (me!!) were doing a Mandela catalog cookie run rp, Roffy was Almond (he got his SHIT ROCKED BTW OH MY LORD), Norman was Madeleine and Eclair, I was my oc, CC, and Klee was her oc, Max! I think that was the moment when we all started getting comfortable with each other.

oh my god, this server has changed me so much as a person and has helped me develop into the me I am today. That place was and still is my safe place. I feel so comfortable in there and the community is so accepting and silly, we're all just like a little happy family. I remember when I was going through a really awful time in my life and I opened up abt it in the server. The community helped me get out of that god forbid situation without making me seem like a fool, they helped me realize that it's OKAY to be going through something heart-wrenching and that people care about me. I remember when I wasn't really a good roleplayer in that server. Every one of my rps would seem so rushed and panicked, but nobody ever made fun of me. They let me go at my own pace, and they made me feel like I belonged. Slowly and steadily I got better at it, I started doing paragraph rps and started researching stuff about writing and reading more, I learned how to expand on my interests and how to get better at what I love all because of that silly cookie run rp server. I wouldn't even BE here without that server, I wouldn't have gotten Tumblr, I wouldn't have even gotten that into cookie run without that server, and I wouldn't be able to make the things I make today without that server. It's so hard to explain just how much this au means to me, this place is like a second home to me. I can be myself there without anyone screaming at me, I can write in whatever way I want without someone telling me I'm writing too much or too less, I can draw anything my heart desires without someone telling me my art is awful or overboard. There's no such thing as 'cringe' or 'stupid' in the infected au, be anyone you want and this place will love you just as much as everyone else! Its literally the most accepting discord server I've ever had the pleasure of building and being apart of. The infected au caused me and so many people to become closer. Roffy is literally like a little sibling to me, Norman is literally my platonic lover, and Klee and Mags are my children apparently, I love them all with every fiber of my being.(/P) I'm so happy we all got to create so many memories in the AU and I hope we all will continue to do so for much, much longer. Today was the day my life started getting better, today is literally like a worldwide holiday to me, today is a day I hope never is forgotten by anyone in the infected au including myself. Im running out of things to write but you get the point.

12 as of a couple of days ago! 🥰 2 are from last year and 10 are my progress so far in the 2023 - Year of the OTP Challenge (my beloved 💖)

212,706 (that's about a Moby Dick's worth of words! 😦)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Just Tiger & Bunny, and just FireSky as a pairing, at that! (Who knows if I'll ever branch out... for now I'm very happy in my little corner of the fanfic world 🥰)

I probably respond too much to comments, if anything 😅 I cherish them immensely, so I tend to get a little carried away, and I try to answer every single thing that people say in them 🥺💙

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Oh. Uhm. I only really do happy endings, so... let me think.

Technically, the story that leaves the most angst still on the table by the end is Stereoscopy (The Hero's Shoulders), because there are some not-totally-solved things left in the background.

The one where the angst lingers closest to the end as a feeling, though, possibly enough to leave a tiny taste-memory of it in your mouth, might be To a Steadfast Heart, or possibly Second Song.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oh, gosh. I suppose it depends on how you define happiest...

The most triumphant and satisfying ending I've done plot-wise, in my opinion, is hands-down Intertidal's.

If you're going more by something like "how much pink glitter and marshmallows is the final scene conjuring in my brain", though, it might be Love, Counted along the Fibonacci Sequence, or maybe An Honest Mistake, or Asterism (I write a lot of pink-glitter-and-marshmallows endings, sorry.)

8. Do you get hate on fics?

The haters would have to know little old me exists for me to get hate, lol. But more seriously, no, I get nothing but sweetness and I'm so grateful 💖💖💖

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Welll... I never quite mean to, but sometimes the story (and characters) ends up asking for it/needing it, and I'm so bad at saying no 😅

As for what kind... the kind that can have a 10k, E-rated chapter solely dedicated to the characters having sex, without me ever having to pick a word for "dick", lol (No, there's no trashy euphemisms, either; it's just me, my deep embarrassment, Keith Goodman's Very Polite POV, and synecdoche, my beloved, against the world 😂)

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I haven't, and I don't think I'm terribly interested in trying (never say never, of course, but for now I can't think of any that I'd want to write). AUs and/or fusions, on the other hand, are very interesting and I'm farily sure at some point I'll end up writing one.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Again, they'd have to notice the fic to steal it 😅 (Of course, it might have happened without my knowledge, but I don't see why anyone would steal unpopular fics. And besides, it would have to either be posted on a website I don't look at, or modified to be other characters, because "my" ship tag on ao3 is far too small to hide anything in there, lol)

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No. (I'd make a joke about them being translated from the Italian in my head to the English on the page, but I think them up in English in the first place, so it wouldn't really apply 😅)

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I've "co-written" a lot of concepts/headcanons in chats and I always have an absolute blast doing that! (I'm not entirely sure I could ever co-write a fic, honestly, because I'm a bit of a control freak about my creations, and I'd probably get insufferable during the process)

14. What's your all-time favorite ship?

The only one I write, lol: FireSky!!! ❤️💜 AKA Keith Goodman/Nathan Seymour, or Sky High/Fire Emblem from Tiger & Bunny (... their hero names ship name looks like a pretty crazy crossover, lol)

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

Ooof. I only have two real wips on my hands; the one I have more doubts about ever finishing is the one I was trying to write for the September leg of the 2023 YOTP Challenge (for which I ended up writing a different story altogether). It has very unconvincing logistics, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to fix that to my satisfaction.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Mmmh. I've gotten a fair bit of compliments about my characterization, so that's one, I suppose. I've also been very good so far at only writing one fic at once and actually finishing almost all of them (which is not nothing!) I also really like my metaphors/similes/analogies/symbolism a lot, especially in dream sequences, but I don't know if that's objectively a strength or just something I do well (mostly) only to my personal satisfaction.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I used to be good at not having run-on sentences, but I've gotten so much worse about it lately?!? I really need to check myself on that. And I think I'm not very good at coming up with complex plots (one initial premise to kick things off, and then following the flow from there? Doable. Several significant events actually shaping the story from more than one side? SAVE ME.)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Well, if the characters were speaking another language for some reason I suppose I might, but I'm only fluent in two languages, so unless I could find someone who could help me, I would probably try to avoid the issue altogether somehow.

I also think it's not an easy thing to handle, because if the reader is not supposed to understand, a few words and phrases here and there, that maybe get explained/translated in-story at the moment or later, are okay; but huge chunks that the reader can't understand would just be annoying, and if they're supposed to understand, you need to fit a translation in along with the foreign dialogue, and it might not always be easy to do so in an efficient / not cumbersome manner.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Mh. If we want to be really precise about this, I think somewhere in my parents' house is a tiny notebook with a lilac (or possibly pale pink) cover, where a strange, short scene set after the Season 1 finale of Smallville is written in pencil. But that was a one-off thing.

20. Favorite fic you've written?

Stereoscopy (The Hero's Shoulders) will always and forever be my baby; it's the one I poured the most time and soul and effort into, and the one that I consider, in a way, the definitive fic I could write for that pairing.

I do feel like I have to mention Intertidal, as well, though: it's by far my favorite of the rest my fics, and I think it has a lot to offer.

Another woman has died due to Poland's extremely strict abortion laws

Here is a translation of a statement given by the family:

We ask for justice and compensation for the death of our late wife, mother, sister, and friend.

Yet again, a young, pregnant, and innocent woman has died, leaving behind 3 children. They will never see their mother again. She wanted to live.

Agnieszka T. is a 37-year-old woman from Częstochowa who was in the first trimester of a twin pregnancy. She was admitted to the gynecology department of the Provincial Hospital in Częstochowa on December 21st, 2021 due to worsening abdominal pain and vomiting.

Earlier, her complaints were dismissed by the doctors who said that since it's a twin pregnancy the pain is normal. She came to the hospital fully conscious and in good physical and mental condition. Through phone calls, we witnessed a deterioration in her condition.

On December 23rd, 2021 the first one of her twins died, and the dead fetus was not extracted due to the extremely strict Polish abortion laws. The doctors decided to wait for the life functions of the second fetus to cease. Agnieszka carried the dead fetus in her womb for 7 days. The second fetus passed on December 29th, 2021.

An atrocity was done to her when the doctors decided to wait another 2 days to manually extract the dead fetuses from her womb, which was only done on December 31st, 2021.

Agnieszka became septic, but that information was kept from her official file. The hospital kept the family from contacting her and refused to update them on the situation.

On January 23rd, 2022, her heart stopped, but she was successfully resuscitated. On January 24th she was in a state of agony, most of her organs having had stopped working.

Unfortunately, on January 25th, Agnieszka passed away in Blachownia. We are devastated, and the pain we are feeling is indescribable. We are begging for help. We have proof of a crime having been committed and of the attempt to hide the information about the cause of Agnieszka's condition, and of the hospital staff giving false information.

She is not the first one to be killed by the abortion ban. She won't be the last.

Studying as much as I can (Part 0/21)

Ok, I was abducted by the Halloween craze, which, you know what, no problem at all. We need to have fun too.

As a bonus, here's a picture of my Halloween table:

Cool, right? Worth losing some days of studying.

Yesterday I couldn't study, as I had trouble waking up (again) and only managed to work (barely). I also had to have a consultation with my nutritionist (which might help solve some of these sleep issues) and had to go buy food for the week.

What I managed to do was organizing my study space, which my girlfriend and I had completely messed up on our Halloween craze, and get some more study tips from that Instagram account I mentioned a few posts back. Here they go:

- I have to make my study space as ergonomic as possible. Let's check:

My lower back must be supported by my chair (checked!)

My knees need to be a little bit lower than my hips (checked!)

My arms, as I type, must be straight and paralel to the ground (checked!)

My feet need to be supported by the ground or a foot rest (ops! Turns out I'm too short to touch the ground 😦 I will need a foot rest)

I can't cross my legs (guilty. Will pay attention to this)

I must adjust the brightness and contrast of my screen (I did this! Turns out my screen could be way less bright!)

I must adjust the height of my PC screen (checked!)

- I should organize my schedule to make time for cool activities I like, other than studies and work (I have some free screen time and a reading time before sleeping. Is this enough?)

- It is good to create a small ritual to signal to the brain that it is "study time"

What could my ritual be? Some brainstorming:

1. Prepare some tea

2. Do some breathing exercises

3. Put on my headphones with nature sounds (I use "My Noise")

- I must know when to stop studying. Basically, sometimes other things are a greater priority in life, and trying to study above all will be detrimental to life

- The most important thing to do when I'm feeling overwhelmed is choosing a task and starting. I will feel better once I start.

And that's it! For yesterday supporting tasks:

Sleep: 11h (yeah, it was a lot of Zs)

Magnesium: ate my pumpkin seeds and bought more for today

Therapy: still doing my therapy homework!

Exercise: nope (fuen fuen fuen)

Vitamins: took vitamin D, but had to order the rest. They will arrive today

Water: 3 bottles (1.5 L)
