AI Employees Review: My Recommendation
AI Employees offers a glimpse into the future of AI-powered marketing automation. While it boasts increased efficiency and data-driven insights, limitations in creative output and human oversight remain crucial considerations. Carefully weigh the potential benefits against the drawbacks to determine if AI Employees aligns with your marketing goals. The platform may be a valuable stepping stone for businesses seeking to automate tasks and gain data analysis, but true marketing success likely resides in a thoughtful blend of human creativity and AI assistance.

As I understand it you work in enterprise computer acquisitions?
TL;DR What's the general vibe for AI accelerating CPUs in the enterprise world for client compute?
Have you had any requests from your clients to help them upgrade their stuff to Core Ultra/Whateverthefuck Point with the NPUs? Or has the corporate world generally shown resistance rather than acquiescence to the wave of the future? I'm so sorry for phrasing it like that I had no idea how else to say that without using actual marketing buzzwords and also keeping it interesting to read.
I know in the enterprise, on-die neural acceleration has been ruining panties the world over (Korea's largest hyperscaler even opted for Intel Sapphire Rapids CPUs over Nvidia's Hopper GPUs due to poor supply and not super worth it for them specifically uplift in inference performance which was all that they really cared about), and I'm personally heavily enticed by the new NPU packing processors from both Team Red and Team We Finally Fucking Started Using Chiplets Are You Happy Now (though in large part for the integrated graphics). But I'm really curious to know, are actual corporate acquisitions folks scooping up the new AI-powered hotness to automagically blur giant pink dildos from the backgrounds of Zoom calls, or is it perceived more as a marketing fad at the moment (a situation I'm sure will change in the next year or so once OpenVINO finds footing outside of Audacity and fucking GIMP)?
So sorry for the extremely long, annoying, and tangent-laden ask, hope the TL;DR helps.
Ninety eight percent of our end users use their computers for email and browser stuff exclusively; the other two percent use CAD in relatively low-impact ways so none of them appear to give a shit about increasing their processing power in a really serious way.
Like, corporately speaking the heavy shit you're dealing with is going to be databases and math and computers are pretty good at dealing with those even on hardware from the nineties.
When Intel pitched the sapphire processors to us in May of 2023 the only discussion on AI was about improving performance for AI systems and deep learning applications, NOT using on-chip AI to speed things up.
The were discussing their "accelerators," not AI and in the webinar I attended it was mostly a conversation about the performance benefits of dynamic load balancing and talking about how different "acclerators" would redistribute processing power. This writeup from Intel in 2022 shows how little AI was part of the discussion for Sapphire Rapids.
In August of 2023, this was the marketing email for these processors:
Tumblr media
So. Like. The processors are better. But AI is a marketing buzzword.
And yeah every business that I deal with has no use for the hot shit; we're still getting bronze and silver processors and having zero problems, though I work exclusively with businesses with under 500 employees.
Most of the demand that I see from my customers is "please can you help us limp this fifteen year old SAN along for another budget cycle?"

Tumblr media
Dear Sirs!
(or have some ladies also signed?)
A few days ago, you, Mr Musk, together with Mr Wozniak, Mr Mostaque and other signatories, published an open letter demanding a compulsory pause of at least six months for the development of the most powerful AI models worldwide.
This is the only way to ensure that the AI models contribute to the welfare of all humanity, you claim. As a small part of the whole of humanity, I would like to thank you very much for wanting to protect me. How kind! 🙏🏻
Allow me to make a few comments and ask a few questions in this context:
My first question that immediately came to mind:
Where was your open letter when research for the purpose of warfare started and weapon systems based on AI were developed, leading to unpredictable and uncontrollable conflicts?
AI-based threats have already been used in wars for some time, e.g. in the Ukraine war and Turkey. Speaking of the US, they are upgrading their MQ-9 combat drones with AI and have already used them to kill in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.
The victims of these attacks - don't they count as humanity threatened by AI?
I am confused! Please explain to me, when did the (general) welfare of humanity exist, which is now threatened and needs to be protected by you? I mean the good of humanity - outside your "super rich white old nerds Silicon Valley" filter bubble? And I have one more question:
Where was your open letter when Facebook's algorithms led to the spread of hate speech and misinformation about the genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar?
Didn't the right to human welfare also apply to this population group? Why do you continue to remain silent on the inaction and non-transparent algorithms of Meta and Mr Zuckerberg? Why do you continue to allow hatred and agitation in the social media, which (at least initially) belonged to you without exception?
My further doubt relates to your person and your biography itself, dear Mr Musk.
You, known as a wealthy man with Asperger's syndrome and a penchant for interplanetary affairs, have commendably repeatedly expressed concern about the potentially destructive effects of AI robots in the past. I thank you for trying to save me from such a future. It really is a horrible idea!
And yet, Mr Musk, you yourself were not considered one of the great AI developers of Silicon Valley for a long time.
Your commitment to the field of artificial intelligence was initially rather poor. Your Tesla Autopilot is a remarkable AI software, but it was developed for a rather niche market.
I assume that you, Mr Musk, wanted to change that when you bought 73.5 million of Twitter's shares for almost $2.9 billion in April?
After all, to be able to play along with the AI development of the giants, you lacked one thing above all: access to a broad-based AI that is not limited to specific applications, as well as a comprehensive data set.
The way to access such a dataset was to own a large social network that collects information about the consumption patterns, leisure activities and communication patterns of its users, including their social interactions and political preferences.
Such collections about the behaviour of the rest of humanity are popular in your circles, aren't they?
By buying Twitter stock, you can give your undoubtedly fine AI professionals access to a valuable treasure trove of data and establish yourself as one of Silicon Valley's leading AI players.
Congratulations on your stock purchase and I hope my data is in good hands with you.
Speaking of your professionals, I'm interested to know why your employees have to work so hard when you are so concerned about the well-being of people?
I'm also surprised that after the pandemic your staff were no longer allowed to work in their home offices. Is working at home also detrimental to the well-being of humanity?
In the meantime, you have taken the Twitter platform off the stock market.
It was never about money for you, right? No, you're not like that. I believe you!
But maybe it was about data? These are often referred to as the "oil of our time". The data of a social network is like the ticket to be one of the most important AI developers in the AI market of the future.
At this point, I would like to thank you for releasing parts of Twitter's code for algorithmic timeline control as open source. Thanks to this transparency, I now also know that the Twitter algorithm has a preference for your Elon Musk posts. What an enrichment of my knowledge horizon!
And now, barely a year later, this is happening: OpenAi, a hitherto comparatively small company in which you have only been active as a donor and advisor since your exit in 2018, not only has enormous sources of money, but also the AI gamechanger par excellence - Chat GPT. And virtually overnight becomes one of the most important players in the race for the digital future. It was rumoured that your exit at the time was with the intention that they would take over the business? Is that true at all?
After all I have said, I am sure you understand why I have these questions for you, don't you?
I would like to know what a successful future looks like in your opinion? I'm afraid I'm not one of those people who can afford a $100,000 ticket to join you in colonising Mars. I will probably stay on Earth.
So far I have heard little, actually nothing, about your investments in climate projects and the preservation of the Earth.
That is why I ask you, as an advocate of all humanity, to work for the preservation of the Earth - with all the means at your disposal, that would certainly help.
If you don't want to do that, I would very much appreciate it if you would simply stop worrying about us, the rest of humanity. Perhaps we can manage to protect the world from marauding robots and a powerful artificial intelligence without you, your ambitions and your friends?
I have always been interested in people. That's why I studied social sciences and why today I ask people what they long for. Maybe I'm naive, but I think it's a good idea to ask the people themselves what they want before advocating for them.
The rest of the world - that is, the 99,9 percent - who are not billionaires like you, also have visions!
With the respect you deserve,
Susanne Gold
(just one of the remaining 99% percent whose welfare you care about).

Am i the asshole for staying behind on an uncharted planet
I (23M) have been a new hire at this shipping company for around three months and it has been absolutely horrible. The company has us work outrageous hours and there is only one other employee. A month ago that employee (my mentor) went on a vacation and ever since then the president had me switch over from simply organizing packages to making full deliveries. On my first trip, I was attacked by a group of space bunnies and the company was sent into debt because of it. They told me the route was safe and secure, however, it was clearly not the case. The important cargo was destroyed and the remaining debt is now more than a hundred years' worth of salary. The company is going under and the president is even accusing ME of doing something. I have no clue what he is talking about and am very frightened by the experience.
Now then my mentor (38?M idk) comes back and talks about how he was hit by a meteor and crashed. It took him a whole month to recover his parts and just barely made it back. Before he could even see his family the company's appraisal AI scanned a memento he yoinked from the crash site and now the president thinks its a great idea to send two deliverymen to search for treasures to sell. Why do we even have an appraisal AI I don't even know. So now me and this captain i've know for about two months is being sent towards an uncharted planet.
Then we crash. There was a blizzard and I am sent flying into the snow. I am tired, hungry, and lay down on the ground as I contemplate my life. A long story short we reconvened and it turns out this planet is FULL of hostile life! Creatures as tall as me just waiting to eat us. Holy fuck. My mentor is taking this as a normal occurrence???? He spent a month on this planet??? The hell????
So after fighting off creature after creature-some as tall as space pups while others as tall as buildings, we somehow get enough pokos to pay back the COMPANY'S DEBT. We weren't even paid overtime and I think my mentor GOT A PROMOTION? We barely had enough supplies for one person so I started taking back some of the local creatures to eat. (DM me if you want some of my recipes!) . We wake up as soon as dawn breaks and this planet's day and night system are so unlike my own planet. By the time it's 10 PM its Nighttime! Dawn is around 6 AM!
My mentor has been relatively nice. He gets my silence and for that, I am grateful he doesn't have me talk a lot. Cons: He forgets about me really easily. Usually, he has me just follow him while we explore and at some points, I feel as if I could have just stayed at the ship and slept and would accomplish the same amount of work. It is aggravating to be woken up so early and told to just follow him around.
After another long expedition I am about 10 seconds away from passing out our ship's appraisal AI (who has been so snippy with both of us) blares out that we should return home now. The thing is, after so long of being on this planet I realized that I prefer this planet more than slaving away at that delivery service. The same service that would send me straight first toward a hive of space rabbits for my very first mission. So I lagged behind a bit.
In my lagging behind, my mentor starts up the ship and leaves. At first, I am shocked. He actually did that. Holy fuck he left me on this planet. Sure our suits were upgrades to filter out the oxygen just before we left and I could last for months if not years....it was still shocking to me. I could not help but watch the sky as he blasted away. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise!
I walked for a long time, resting in safe areas to conserve my stamina and eating the creatures I knew were edible. There was a lot of experimentation here and there and I missed the spices of back home. I just knew that a certain creature would taste way better if I added in a couple more condiments! (Remember! DM me for my recipes!)
While exploring one of the caves, a giant spiderlike foe kidnapped me and placed me on it's head. It was so cute! Like riding a weird dog.
It was nice being with the big spider. It gathered some ancient technologies that were perfect for my survival. None of the other creatures seemed to bother the two of us and it was nice to know that there was someone else on this planet that understood us. Still, I was tired and after what felt like days, my suit's forced sleep mode kicked in. I have no clue what happened afterward nor how many days I was asleep but the next thing I knew was that my mentor was right in front of me making sure I was okay.
He says that he came back for me with the help of our boss, but I could see the poko in the president's eyes as the ship went over finances with him.
They killed the spider to 'save' me. The spider went on full attack while I was asleep on it and the appraisal AI thinks I was in control of it despite being unconscious. At least the captain think's I didn't do it...
They then told me that there was no third seat on the ship and that I will be sleeping in the cargo hold until they got every single treasure on this planet. I am pretty sure that's a space OSHA violation but at this point, I have been in so many life-threatening dangers that I gave up counting. At least they don't expect me to help out because I am 'recovering'. They are content to let me stay by the ship and I have been using this time to perfect my recipes with the supplies they got from back home.

Jalon Hall thought she was being scammed when a recruiter reached out on LinkedIn about a job moderating YouTube videos in 2020. Months after earning a master’s degree in criminal justice, her only job had been at a law firm investigating discrimination cases. But the offer was real, and Hall, who is Black and Deaf, sailed through the interviews.
She would be part of a new in-house moderation team of about 100 people called Wolverine, trudging daily through freezing weather to offices in suburban Detroit during the early pandemic. When she accepted the job, the recruiter said via email that a sign language interpreter would be provided “and can be fully accommodated :)” That assurance unraveled within days of joining Google—and her experience at the company has proven difficult in the years since.
Hall now works on responsible use of AI at Google and by all available accounts is the company’s first and only Black, Deaf employee. The company has feted her at events and online as representative of a workplace welcoming to all. Google’s LinkedIn account praised her last year for “helping expand opportunities for Black Deaf professionals!” while on Instagram the company thanked her “for making #LifeAtGoogle more inclusive!” Yet behind the rosy marketing, Hall accuses Google of subjecting her to both racism and audism, prejudice against the deaf or hard of hearing. She says the company denied her access to a sign language interpreter and slow-walked upgrades to essential tools.
After filing three HR complaints that she says yielded little change, Hall sued Google in December, alleging discrimination based on her race and disability. The company responded this week, arguing that the case should be thrown out on procedural grounds, including bringing the claims too late, but didn’t deny Hall’s accusations. “Google is using me to make them look inclusive for the Deaf community and the overall Disability community,” she says. “In reality, they need to do better.”
Hall, who is in her thirties, has stayed at Google in hopes of spurring improvements for others. She chose to talk with WIRED despite fearing for her safety and job prospects because she feels the company has ignored her. “I was born to push through hard times,” she says. “It would be selfish to quit Google. I’m standing in the gap for those often pushed aside.” Hall’s experiences, which have not been previously reported, are corroborated by over two dozen internal documents seen by WIRED as well as interviews with four colleagues she confided in and worked alongside.
Employees who are Black or disabled are in tiny minorities at Google, a company of nearly 183,000 people that has long been criticized for an internal culture that heavily favors people who fit tech industry norms. Google’s Deaf and hard-of-hearing employee group has 40 members. And Black women, who make up only about 2.4 percent of Google’s US workforce, leave the company at a disproportionately higher rate than women of other races, company data showed last year.
Several former Black women employees, including AI researcher Timnit Gebru and recruiter April Christina Curley, have publicly alleged they were sidelined by an internal culture that disrespected them. Curley is leading a proposed class action lawsuit accusing Google of systemic bias but has lost initial court battles.
Google spokesperson Emily Hawkins didn’t directly address Hall’s allegations when asked about them by WIRED. “We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and offer a range of accommodations to support the success of our employees, including sign language interpreters and captioning,” Hawkins says.
Figuring out how to accommodate people like Hall could be good business for Google. One in every 10 people by 2050 will have disabling hearing loss, according to the World Health Organization.
Mark Takano, who represents a slice of Southern California in the US House and cochairs the Congressional Deaf Caucus, says that Google has an obligation to lead the way in demonstrating that its technology and employment practices are accommodating. “When Deaf and hard-of-hearing employees are excluded because of the inability to provide an accessible workplace, there is a great pool of talent that is left untapped—and we all lose out,” he says.
Unaccommodated
Hall was born with profound bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, meaning that even with hearing aids her brain cannot process sounds well. Two separate audiologists in memos to Google said Hall needs an American Sign Language interpreter full-time. She also signs pre- and post-segregation Black ASL, which uses more two-handed signs and incorporates some African American vernacular.
During her childhood in Louisiana, Hall's parents pushed her into speech therapy and conventional schools, where she found that some people doubted she was Deaf because she can speak. She later attended a high school for Deaf students where she became homecoming and prom queen, and realized how much more she could achieve when provided appropriate support.
Hall expected to find a similar environment at Google when she moved to Farmington Hills, Michigan, to become a content moderator. The company contracts ASL interpreters from a vendor called Deaf Services of Palo Alto, or DSPA. But though Hall had been assigned to enforce YouTube’s child safety rules, managers wouldn’t let her interpreters help her review that content. Google worried about exposing contractors to graphic imagery and cited confidentiality concerns, despite the fact interpreters in the US follow a code of conduct that includes confidentiality standards.
Managers transferred Hall into training to screen for videos spreading misinformation about Covid and elections. She developed a workflow that saw her default to using lipreading and automated transcriptions to review videos and turn to her interpreter if she needed further help. The transcriptions on videos used in training were high quality, so she had little trouble.
Her system fell apart late in January 2021, about 20 minutes into one of her first days screening new content. The latest video in her queue was difficult to make sense of using lipreading, and the AI transcriptions in the software YouTube built for moderators were poor quality or even absent for recently uploaded content. She turned to her interpreter’s desk a few feet away—but to her surprise it was empty. “I was going to say, ‘Do you mind coming listening to this?’” she recalls.
Hall rose to ask a manager about the interpreter’s whereabouts. He told her that he and fellow managers had decided that she could no longer have an interpreter in the room because it threatened the confidentiality of the team’s work. She could now talk with her interpreter only during breaks or briefly bring them in to clarify policies with managers. She was told to skip any videos she couldn’t judge through sight alone.
Feeling wronged and confused by the new restrictions, Hall slumped back into her chair. US law requires companies to provide reasonable accommodations to a disabled worker unless it would cause the employer significant difficulty or expense. “This was not a reasonable accommodation,” she says. “I was thinking, What did I get myself into? Do they not believe I’m Deaf? I need my interpreter all day. Why are you robbing me of the chance of doing my job?”
‘Pushed Aside’
Without her interpreter, Hall struggled. She rarely met the quota of 75 videos each moderator was expected to review over an eight-hour day. She often had to watch through a video in its entirety, sometimes more than an hour, before concluding she could not assess it. “I felt humiliated, realizing that I would not grow in my career,” she says.
Throughout that February, Hall spoke to managers across YouTube about the need for better transcriptions in the moderation software. They told her it would take weeks or more to improve them, possibly even years. She asked for a transfer to child safety, since she had heard from a colleague that visuals alone could be used to decide many of those videos. An HR complaint filed that spring led nowhere.
Black and disabled colleagues eventually helped secure Hall a transfer into Google’s Responsible AI and Human-Centered Technology division in July 2021. It is run by vice president Marian Croak, Google’s most distinguished Black female technical leader. Hall says Croak supported her and described what she’d been through as unacceptable. But even in the new role, Hall’s interpreter was restricted to non-confidential conversations.
Hall says the discrimination against her has continued under her new manager, who is also Black, leading to her exclusion from projects and meetings. Even when she’s present some coworkers don’t make much effort to include her. “My point of view is often not heard,” Hall says. In 2021, she joined two gatherings of Google’s Equitable AI Research Roundtable, an advisory body, but then wasn’t invited again. “I feel hidden and pushed aside,” she says.
Hall filed an internal complaint against her manager in March 2022, and an HR staffer has joined their one-on-one meetings since October of that year. One of the interpreters who has assisted Hall says the friction Deaf workers encounter is sadly unsurprising. “People truly don’t take the time to learn about their peers,” the interpreter says.
The allegations are notable in part because a civil rights audit Google commissioned found last March that it needs to do more to train managers. “One of the largest areas of opportunity is improving managers’ ability to lead a diverse workforce,” attorneys for WilmerHale wrote. Hawkins, the Google spokesperson, says all employees have access to inclusion training.
Hall says when she has access to an interpreter, they are rotated throughout the week, forcing her to repeatedly explain some technical concepts. “Google is going the cheap route,” Hall claims, saying her interpreters in university were more literate in tech jargon.
Kathy Kaufman, director of coordinating services at DSPA, says it pays above market rates, dedicates a small pool to each company so the vocabulary becomes familiar, hires tech specialists, and trains those who are not. Kaufman also declined to confirm that Google is a client or comment on its policies.
Google’s Hawkins says that the company is trying to make improvements. Google’s accommodations team is currently seeking employees to join a new working group to smooth over policies and procedures related to disabilities.
Beside Hall’s concerns, Deaf workers over the past two years have complained about Google’s plans—shelved, for now—to switch away from DSPA without providing assurances that a new interpreter provider would be better, according to a former Google employee, speaking on the condition of anonymity to protect their job prospects. Blind employees have had the human guides they rely on excluded from internal systems due to confidentiality concerns in recent years, and they have long complained that key internal tools, like a widely used assignment tracker, are incompatible with screen readers, according to a second former employee.
Advocates for disabled workers try to hold out hope but are discouraged. “The premise that everyone deserves a shot at every role rests on the company doing whatever it takes to provide accommodations,” says Stephanie Parker, a former senior strategist at YouTube who helped Hall navigate the Google bureaucracy. “From my experience with Google, there is a pretty glaring lack of commitment to accessibility.”
Not Recorded
Hall has been left to watch as colleagues hired alongside her as content moderators got promoted. More than three years after joining Google, she remains a level 2 employee on its internal ranking, defined as someone who receives significant oversight from a manager, making her ineligible for Google peer support and retention programs. Internal data shows that most L2 employees reach L3 within three years.
Last August, Hall started her own community, the Black Googler Network Deaf Alliance, teaching its members sign language and sharing videos and articles about the Black Deaf community. “This is still a hearing world, and the Deaf and hearing have to come together,” she says.
On the responsible AI team, Hall has been compiling research that would help people at Google working on AI services such as virtual assistants understand how to make them accessible to the Black Deaf community. She personally recruited 20 Black Deaf users to discuss their views on the future of technology for about 90 minutes in exchange for up to $100 each; Google, which reported nearly $74 billion in profit last year, would only pay for 13. The project was further derailed by an unexpected flaw in Google Meet, the company’s video chat service.
Hall’s first interview was with someone who is Deaf and Blind. The 90-minute call, which included two interpreters to help her and the subject converse, went well. But when Hall pulled up the recording to begin putting together her report, it was almost entirely blank. Only when Hall’s interpreter spoke did the video include any visuals. The signing between everyone on the call was missing, preventing her from fully transcribing the interview. It turned out that Google Meet doesn’t record video of people who aren’t vocalizing, even when their microphones are unmuted.
“My heart dropped,” Hall told WIRED using the video chat app Sivo, which allows all participants to see each other while a hearing person and sign language interpreter speak by phone. Hall spent the evening trying to soothe her devastation, meditating, praying, and playing with her dog, which she has trained in ASL commands.
Hall filed a support ticket and spoke to a top engineer for Google Meet who said fixing the issue wasn’t a priority. WIRED later found evidence that users had publicly reported similar issues for years. Microsoft Teams generally will record signing, but Hall wasn’t permitted to use it. She ended up hacking together a workflow for documenting her interviews by laboriously editing together Meet recordings and screen-captured video using tools that she paid $46 a month for out of her own pocket.
Company spokesperson Hawkins did not dispute Meet’s limitations but claims support for the Deaf community is a priority at Google, where work underway includes developing computer vision software to translate sign language.
Google leaders have often paid lip service to the importance of including people with diverse experiences in research and development, but Hall has found the reality lacking. Despite her understanding of the Black Deaf community and research into its needs, she says she is yet to be invited to support the sign translation work. In her experience, Google’s conception of diversity can be narrow. “In the AI department, a lot of conversations are around race and gender,” Hall says. “No one emphasizes disability.”
Her research showed Black, Deaf users are concerned about the potential for AI systems to misinterpret signs, generate poor captions, take jobs from interpreters, and disadvantage individuals who opt for manual interpretation. It underscored that companies need to consider whether new tools would make someone who is unable to hear feel closer or further from the people with whom they are communicating.
Hall presented her findings internally last December over a Google Meet call. Twenty-four colleagues joined, including a research director. Hall had been encouraged, including by Croak, to invite a much larger audience from across the company but ultimately stuck with the short list insisted upon by her manager. She didn’t even bother trying to record it.

Free-fall Chapter 1 (Sun/Moon x Reader)
Summary: You needed a job, any job that would overlook your lack of education or non existent ‘official’ work history. It just so happens that this job is the closest thing to home since your circus troupe went under. So what’s the big problem?
Authors note: Honestly this is just an idea I wanted to write for myself but I hope someone else enjoys it too! This is going to be a slow burn.
Fazbear Entertainment Company knew what their biggest problem was at the moment, it was practically glaring at them in the face daily as thousands of complaints and bad reviews rolled in. The problem was the daycare attendant.
Adults hated it, employees constantly quit because they refused to work with it, and more importantly the children it was programmed to take care of were frightened of it. Its sole design existed to appease children, to have nurturing and playful characteristics so the kids did not feel watched over but instead felt as if they were just having a play date. In theory, it should have worked but the idea of a lone animatronic, towering above everyone that encountered it along with the personality that mimicked that of a clown, it isn’t hard to see now where this idea had failed.
What were they to do about this issue, scrap him? No, they couldn’t do that, not only because of just how insanely expensive it was to build and the giant loss the company would take from that, but they also had to take into account its unique build that couldn’t easily be scrapped for parts for the other animatronics upgrades. Unlike the Glamrocks or simply just the S.T.A.F.F. Bots, their design is ten times more intricate. All of the ‘personality’ animatronics had the AI capability to learn but that’s where the similarities truly ended.
The daycare attendant was given a different type of endoskeleton, one that can give them more agility than the others. Soft padding was placed over the endoskeleton that would make it safe when children interacted with it, and it had twice the responsibility. As well as intricate programming that took years to write code for compared to any other of the animatronics to make sure child safety was its top priority. No, they couldn’t scrap it, they would be losing way too much.
So what were they to do about this situation? Easy. To figure out their next step all the company had to do was look at other large theme parks in the country. They had creepy mascots and characters too but with a difference, they were almost always accompanied by a handler. Sure the princesses and superheroes didn’t need a handler but they were human. The anthropomorphic costumes freaked out the children, but with a human handler escorting them around it brought a human touch back into it and helped relieve some of the creepy tension, making them more approachable, and ushering back in the cartoonish charm their designers were aiming for during their creation.
While the solution may have been an easy one to make, executing it was not as easy. It was hard finding someone willing to fill that role. Person after person entered the interview, seemingly excited about the job, but then they would meet it for the first time.
They made sure to have each interview end with a little meet and greet with Sun, as opposed to Moon whom they correctly guessed would scare the potential hires off even quicker, but each meeting ended the same way regardless. One right after the other the interviewees raced out the door once they reached the meet and greet portion, even the ones who swore up and down that no matter what they were desperate for the job.
Week after week they continued the arduous process of interviewing candidates, a few even made it to on-the-job training. There were even some impressive candidates they thought would fill the role perfectly due to their previous job experience as performers and theme park handlers. As always though before they could officially hire anybody they all walked out, leaving the company to start the process of interviews all over again.
Eventually, they landed on your resume. A small single page compared to some of the larger or more impressive resumes they started with, but at this point, they can’t be too picky. The resume lacked any schooling or degrees and it listed only a few jobs that all consisted of waitressing at different establishments. Then they read the very last line and practically had dollar signs in their eyes as they realized that they just struck gold, you had worked ten years in a circus troupe.
They just found their golden candidate who could not just assist but also be a true star of the show alongside their animatronic, and they would not let this candidate slip away so easily.
They pulled out all the stops for your interview, or at least as much as the corporation would realistically allow. So when you arrived at the interview they offered you a large array of beverages like soda, water, coffee, or juice before whisking you off towards a conference room. Usually, most of your interviews have been in the back of some dingy restaurant manager's office, in bleak windowless rooms that suffocated you with their musk, or even just at the front of the restaurants in one of the booths with disinterested-looking men reading off questions in a monotonous tone. It may have been just a cheap gesture to give the illusion that they care more even though it was the bare minimum of schmoozing but regardless you were ashamed to say it was kind of working.
After months of panicking about bills, barely avoiding eviction, a few dodgy days without electricity, and the hundreds of wasted hours spent on interviews that went nowhere you had to admit it was kinda nice to experience these little luxuries. A small part was even just giddy as you sat down in the nice wide wooden chairs that had plump padding on the seat that made it so much more comfortable to sit on than hard plastic. Plus the windows were open letting in a nice warm breeze that just filled your heart with happiness.
You knew the men sitting across you had fake smiles plastered across their faces as they reached across to shake your hand before you sit down across the wide table from them. You pushed aside the thought as your day brightened up even more as they pushed a box of doughnuts over to you that you immediately took to make up for your lack of breakfast.
“So to start off we just have to ask you,” The middle man across the table started with a wide grin as you shoved another doughnut in your mouth “Ten years in the circus?”
“Mmhm” You mumbled out around your delicious sugary treat, “Joined when I was around twelve."
“Perfect! We really think you would be a nice fit for this position as the animatronic handler. You see we have had some slight issues with staff getting along with it but nothing to worry about especially with your background. It kinda acts like, well, um, fellas how would you describe it?” He motions to the men on either side of him as they each quip up with their own descriptions.
“A jester?” One offers up as the main man hums in agreement.
“Yes! Like a clown, it’s very clown like I would say.” The other man jumps in.
“Exactly, thank you, gentlemen. It’s a bit unnerving for most people but I am quite positive someone with your background will do just fine with that creepy stuff. I’m sure you worked with plenty of horrifying creeps and freaks, am I right?” His smile has yet to waver and the mocking laugh he ends his question with along with the other men following suit with their own degrading laughs is starting to get on your nerves.
The charms of the little gifts and pleasantries have started to wear off. Now it's much easier to see them as not nice or charming but as salesmen. These are professional salesmen whether their job descriptions are actually public relations, business manager, etc. Their jobs were to sell their company and right now their job was selling this position to you which they openly admitted they were having problems with.
Their first big mistake was thinking you would laugh along with their jokes about the other performers you spent a decade with. The second was thinking you couldn’t see right through them, sure you accepted the treats, but you knew you held the power. Their third and most damming mistake was it. They kept referring to their animatronic as it.
You’re not sure why that two-letter word was digging its way into your skin every time they said it but it did. You knew this company, or at least you knew the restaurant and thus the animatronics inside of it. They all seemingly had personalities, big ones at that, and smart A.I. that they took every chance to brag about on the news as their PR team truly worked overtime for the company. The way they spoke about their animatronic as an object turned the energy in the room slowly, prickling your skin. Taking a deep breath you pushed your concerns aside to reply.
“Um yea it won’t be a problem, and I wouldn’t say they were creepy at al-“
“Perfect, see I just knew you would be a perfect fit for this role.” He rudely interrupts you again. “With your background, we would also like to change up the position a bit from handler to performer. You would still accompany it and do the normal job but start offering some fun performances with you and the animatronic on top of the normal job. Of course, we will offer a bit more money to your salary for this as well so don’t worry about that.”
“Oh.” You were shocked, you never made it to a full-fledged performing role in your circus trope as by the time it shut down you were still an apprentice.
You had been training and filling in roles but had yet to become a full-time performer in your own right. You did have the specialties you were working towards more like acrobatics and trapeze work but despite how good you got you never did it solo, without your trusted mentors by your side to correct you.
“If you sign on with us today you’ll start up as just the basic handler until we have our lawyers look over the specialty contract you’ll need for the type of work we want you to do.” He ends by turning to the other men to point to their papers and talk about notes as he thinks about contracts.
You let them drone on as you were swept up in the nostalgia of your family at the circus that you missed dearly. Part of you wanted this opportunity, a chance to feel the overwhelming joy you had used to receive while entertaining crowds of people and more importantly the bright smiles you brought to children. Your head was swimming as you thought through everything, mind contemplating every angle of this new opportunity. You originally just wanted a job but now the perfect job has seemed to just fall into your lap, but nothing in your life was ever quite that easy.
For starters you did not become a full-fledged performer, how could you suddenly jump from apprenticing to doing full-blown shows, especially without your troupe behind you to encourage and support you? You weren’t sure you were ready for that responsibility, and the fact employers of the company so openly mocked your previous profession and friends in front of you made your skin crawl. You doubt they would take the proper precautions when it came to the big performances you were used to.
This shouldn’t be a hard decision though, right? You need a job, that makes money, to pay your bills, and not lose your shitty apartment. This job just so happens to involve the things you love most in the world, performing and making children happy. Something wasn’t quite right though, and your anxiety was not making it any better. Your head was racing as thoughts all shouted out across your mind debating every angle possible and you were sure your body was frozen in front of the men. From what little you could focus on outside your brain it doesn’t seem as though the men have even noticed your situation as they talked among themselves.
“Well then,” The middle man's sharp clap of his hands jolted you back in “We don’t really need to go over too much for the interview part, instead we would love to jump ahead to introductions to see how that all goes.”
Before you could respond they got up and started escorting you to a door connected to the conference room. They were talking more about the job on the short walk but you’re mind was elsewhere. As you reached out to open the handle the main man grabbed onto your wrist, another shock running through you at the suddenness.
His face was still plastered with a saccharine smile but his eyes were filled with fear. Funnily enough, this bizarre smile filled with horror was a rather familiar sight to your eyes from the array of faces in the crowd of shows you would take mental snapshots of for your internal emotions scrapbook.
“Just picture it as a clown, ok? And don’t turn off the lights.” He backs up and releases his grip on your arm. "You'll do great kid, we know you got this."
Your eyes scrunch together as you watch the gaggle of grown men in suits squirm with discomfort at even the thought of what lies beyond the door. Sure you never saw Sun or Moon in person before but you've seen them plenty on the near-constant commercials or news broadcasts praising their technology. They weren't even scary if memory serves you right, you knew plenty of scarier-looking clowns, and they were always the most down-to-earth and kindest people you knew.
Rolling your eyes you slowly open the door, yelling at yourself internally as your body reacted to their fear causing you to sharply inhale as you enter. Just as you remember him, the bright yellow animatronic sat on top of a table in the conjoining conference room. Well maybe not quite as you pictured, he was much bigger and taller than you ever imagined he would be. You could only imagine how colossal he was next to the children.
His head swayed back and forth as he swung his long legs in front of him while humming. It doesn't appear that he has noticed your presence yet. You carefully try to close the door behind you to give you some relief from the sharp watch of the men in the doorway, anxiously awaiting some sort of reaction. Try as you might, the large door still let out a loud bang when it clicked closed.
You turn just in time to watch Sun jerk and jump off the table to back up while curling his arms around himself anxiously. Your mouth pulls in guilt as you watch him.
"Hello, fri-" He starts to shout out with an arm raised out to you before he pulls it back with his other and curls his palm against his faceplate. "Sorry, sorry. You have to be good sun, you have to behave sun."
He mutters out the latter more to himself as you watch with furrowed eyebrows. He is shifting his weight side to side, seemingly locked in a sort of loading screen moment, and his limbs start to raise like he figured out his next move before pulling back again.
"It's Sun, right? My name is Y/N." You start approaching slowly to not frighten him further.
You can't be sure what this poor animatronic had been through but clearly, it wasn't good if the degrading mutters under his breath were any indication. He doesn't respond, still stuck like a broken record player, so you try repeating your question a little bit louder. He notices this time and his face slowly raises to tilt his head at you.
"Yes, yes, yes. You can call me Sun, or Sunny, or Sundrop, or Sunbeam, or-" He starts to ramble on a million different variations of nicknames while nodding frantically, and you laugh knowing you'll have to cut him off if you'll ever get him to stop.
"Ok let's stick with Sunny, I think it's a super cute name." You smile brighter once you see his rays twirl around his head at your statement.
He rushes closer, again you scold yourself at the sharp gasp you let out at just how quickly he crosses the room, and his hand softly grasps onto yours in between you two.
"Yes! I would like that very very much. Does this mean we are going to be friends?"
"Definitely, especially if I come to work with you, Sunny." You delight in the way his plush fingers feel as you grip them but he slowly pulls his hands away and curls his hands up to his chest.
"Oh, that's right. Job, job, it's all about the job Sun. Don't scare the employees' Sun. Don't mess this up again Sun. You can't be trusted Sun. They can be trusted Sun, not you Sun." He starts pacing around again, hands wringing together and clawing at his chest as you try to wrap your head around what is happening.
"Sunny?" You're watching him closely, heart sinking at the way his voice box becomes more staticky as he desperately chokes out his words.
"I promise I'll be good. I won't be scary or too loud or too clingy or too much. I promise." He sounds so soft and sad as he curls his limbs in more to make himself look smaller.
"Who told you those things Sunny?" You have to gulp back the emotion building in your throat as you watch him.
His face turns slightly to look at the door behind you and you quickly connected the dots that apparently management truly only sees them as objects to verbally degrade when things aren't working for the bottom line. Your fists clench and pop in your anger and you take in a heavy breath to calm yourself.
You have felt angry plenty of times. You sure felt angry when small-minded locals would come through and terrorize your troupe. You felt angry every time you were denied entry-level work without even being given a chance. This anger though was something akin to the reason you left your original life behind in the first place.
"Sunny those guys," You motion behind your shoulder and firmly grip his hands in yours. "Are assholes. All those workers who treated you badly were assholes. Fuck them."
"LANGUAGE!" He quickly screeched out and you wince a bit as his hands reflexively gripped yours harder.
His eyes flex wider as he hears his loud voice bounce around the room and he jumps away from you to cower as he watches the door handle turn.
"Is everything-"
"We're fine" You quickly bite out and look over your shoulder to stare the man down.
He takes a moment to look over at Sunny as he hesitates in the doorway but nods and closes the door again. You inhale deeply to calm yourself and slowly kneel down next to Sun's crumpled form against the wall.
"Sunny? It's ok they won't bother you, I promise."
"No no no, I screamed at you. I'm not supposed to scream." He shakes his head repeatedly and refuses to look at you.
"No no it's ok Sunny, I deserved that. I spent most of my life surrounded by foul-mouthed carnies. I guess I have some bad habits I need to work on." You laugh trying to break the tension.
Your smile grows softer as you see him look up at you but he doesn't speak up again. You let the silence linger on a bit as he calms down and think about any way you can help him out. You trail your eyes down his outfit and get a bit lost as you take in all the intricate details and patterns. His pleated peplum brought back vivid images of familiar fabrics and the lightbulb in your brain goes on.
"Hey, would you like to see a little trick I can do?"
His head tilts in response but watches you very attentively so you take that as a yes.
"Ok, uhm, hmm." You hum as you search around the room to find anything hand-sized. "Ah ha!"
You crawl across the floor a bit to grab three different erasers from the sill of the whiteboards mounted on the wall. You shuffle your way back over and lean up onto your knees as his head shifts side to side as he watches you.
Your hands clasp onto the erasers as you try to find a good grip. You throw up the first, positioning to throw the second but fumble as you get used to their square shape as opposed to the round balls you were used to. You try to start up again but fumble once more and the erasers fall onto the ground. How professional you grumbled in your mind, getting a bit embarrassed over your rusty skills.
"Shit." You quickly spit out as you lean down to snatch them but your eyes widen as you realized you slipped. "Fuck, I mean shit, ahh sorry! I am so sorry I promise I'll get better."
You look up at Sunny apologetically but he chuckles while shifting to sit more relaxed against the wall. "It's ok, keep going."
You hum as he seems to be relaxing around you. You're happy to be the clown for once if it means he cheers up. With a steadying breath, you start back up again and manage to juggle the erasers.
He leans forward while cooing, faceplate approaching closer to the arch's range to watch your hands shuffle, toss, and catch the small objects. You only do a few rotations before letting them drop, not even bothering to attempt to hold them all at once again.
He immediately starts clapping his hands once you finished your little performance and you giggle while playfully bowing. “Oh thank you, thank you so much!”
“That was amazing!” He starts bouncing in front of you and scoots closer to pick up the erasers to try tossing them himself.
“Oh, that was nothing but a party trick, you should have seen the real jugglers I worked with. They could throw anything. Knives, bowling balls, lamps. Actually, now that I think about it, you could probably toss like three of me.” You joke, pushing towards his metal arms that don’t budge a bit with your nudge.
“Yes, teach me! You have to teach me, please please please.” His head spun again, and your heart warmed at how happy he was when he was at ease.
“Absolutely, we will have plenty of time during work for me to teach you.”
"So that means you'll work with us?" He quits down again and sits still as he waits for your answer.
"That depends, will you let me work with you knowing I have a sailor's mouth? I promise I will do my best to work on it, and I swear I am great at not slipping in front of children so you don't have to worry about that."
"You.. you want to know if we want to work with you?"
"Of course, you guys have been the ringmasters of the daycare from day one. I respect the chain of command."
He shifts in front of you in thought, his hands clasping each other as he thinks. You can tell he is clearly conflicted and you wouldn’t blame him a bit with what has been happening to him.
“What do you want Sunny?”
“What do I want?” He looks confused and distracts himself by running his fingers along the bumpy ridges of the eraser in his hand.
“Yeah, I mean I would completely understand if you don’t want another coworker after the way you have been treated. I wouldn’t even blame you if you didn’t want to share the spotlight and perform with me. I just want you to be happy, and I want someone to give you a choice for once.”
“I, we want you to work with us. Please I promise I’ll be good!” His shoulders scrunch up as he curls back down and you sigh. This was a start but you knew it would take a lot more time and reassurances to get him to fully trust you.
“And I promise,” You slowly take his hands back in yours and purposeful stare at him. “That I will try my best not to swear, I promise I will always try to do my best, and most important I promise I will always respect you.”
His smile grew more as his inner cheeks pinched and he quickly pounced forward to loop you into a large hug. You are a bit surprised at just how soft he is to hug and find yourself happily nuzzling in. You can feel the soft whir of his internal fans spinning and find it as soothing as a box fan in the window during summer nights.
“Yes! I want that, we want that, please be our friend!”
“I think we are going to be really good friends Sunny.” You hum against his chest, feeling his fingers curl into your back.
You don’t want to leave him, especially now that you are terrified to imagine what goes on between management and him behind closed doors. But you had power, they were desperate and you knew the request your mind has been brewing up would be quickly granted. Reluctantly you pull yourself out of his arms and try not to frown at the sad head tilt he gives you.
“Sorry bud, I gotta go deal with those as-meanie butts.” Your lips pull as you catch the small slip but correct yourself. “See I told you I would try.”
His smile grows even wider if that’s even possible for him and doesn’t seem to be bothered by the mention of the men again which you are grateful for. Instead, he pats the top of your head softly, running his hand down your hair with each pet.
“You are doing so good new friend! I know you’ll get it one day, and I’ll be there with you every day to help!”
As you shift to lift up he places his hands in yours and gives you a small boost. You say a soft ‘thank you’ under your breath and dust off your knees. You take one last meaningful look at the animatronic you’ve sworn to be friends with. You can’t go back now and deny the job you were on the fence about. You still had your reservations but they were all swept away by Sunny.
Even now as he smiles at you there is something so fragile about him, ironically. You can’t help but feel like you're staring up at a much taller version of yourself a decade ago. You didn’t understand the full picture but you didn’t need to so you could understand that emotion. That burning emotion that tore your life apart.
This time though your metaphorical younger self didn’t have to be alone. Everyone made you feel like a burden, that you couldn’t do anything. They all thought you needed help like everyone thinks Sunny needs help. You both needed help but not in the way anyone cared to understand. You needed hope, you needed someone to stand up for you.
You will be that person for them now.
You give a small wave to Sunny as you back up towards the door, turning to open the door but stopping as your hand makes contact with the handle. You didn’t want to leave him alone, but if all goes well it will just be a night. You could do this.
“Hey Sunny?” You turn to look at him and he hasn’t moved an inch from where you last left him.
“Yes, friend?”
“Thank you, and let Moon know that I am excited to work with you both.” Your fingers twirl around your sleeve deciding whether or not you’ll add the next part swirling in your mind.
“I will be back, I promise.” You finally whisper out, skin crawling a bit at the vulnerable tone of your voice.
To break that crippling feeling of vulnerability you shoot out finger guns toward him. He surprises you with his quick improv and immediately dances around to miss being hit by your imaginary bullets. You both giggle and you can only wish that you have given him enough hope to cling onto when you’re gone.
You wave again and walk out the door, managing to close it softer this time. The men looked like they also haven’t moved an inch and are all looking at you expectantly. Just seeing their dumb fear-filled eyes brings the rage boiling back up but you steady your breath to not fuck up this opportunity.
“So where do I sign?” You speak up knowing they don’t dare to ask and risk spooking their golden candidate.
“Excellent! See I just knew you would do per-“
“I have one stipulation.” You seize your chance to interrupt him as he has done nonstop to you. “I really need a job, so I will be signing on to start tomorrow.”
“Well, well, well. Quite the little go-getter. I see that and all of us here at the F.E.C very much respect the work ethic.” He snaps to the man on his right and gets handed the clipboard with the contract.
He takes the pen attached to the clipboard and manually scribbles in what you assume is the start date and flips it around while holding out the pen to you. “Sign right on that line.”
The simple line felt so similar to the dangerous walk of the tightrope but with the same courage you took your life back with you grabbed hold of the pen and signed the dotted line.

Prompt: NexGen is the leading company for all of humanities technological advances. Their recent project involves creating a higher functioning AI, one with basic knowledge of the world, and programmed to learn. It’s no surprise the project is a secret from the general public, and you, the company’s head programmer, were chosen to be the AI’s teacher. You wish you could reject the assignment, but the decision was made. Now with an AI at home things were different. Although it might not be such a bad thing, perhaps you could learn and help each other out, for better or for worse.

“Welcome home.”
The last time you had actually been at your house was the day Chae Hyungwon revealed his true colors to you. This place didn’t even feel like home anymore. You had made such good memories here, but now they were all tainted. It wasn’t hard to understand that you were a prisoner in your own home. Hyungwon put you to bed, having somethings he needed to do, and for now he needed you out of the way. You had no idea for how long you slept, but when you woke up everything was still.
For a moment you could delude yourself into thinking everything was fine, but that was far from the case. While you slept Chae remained a bracelet on your arm, but as soon as you were awake he was around your head again. After a while you decided to get up, being careful as you weren’t exactly steady on your feet. If you had any doubts about your house not being your own anymore, this confirmed it. When you opened the bedroom door you saw multiple orbs fly past. It was a strange sight, and you stepped out into the hall leaning against the walls.
“Hyungwon…”
The only place you could think to look was in your home office. The door was ajar and you gently pushed it open, seeing that the room had been upgraded. It was a whole set up, allowing both Hyungwon and Minhyuk to work. When you opened the door Hyungwon noticed you, offering you a smile and getting up.
“What are you doing out of bed, you need rest.”
“I’m fine.”
“I’m sure you are, that’s why I called over some friends.”
“Huh?”
Hyungwon took your hands and led you back to your bedroom. There you found Wonho and Kihyun setting some of their things down.
“There she is.” Wonho remarked. “It’s so good to see you again.”
“Uh…”
“They’re here to do a house call.” Hyungwon explained. “You haven’t been to the doctor in a while, so I had them come here.”
“Just a routine check up.” Kihyun assured. “Nothing to worry about.”
You sat down on the edge of the bed, Hyungwon leaving you with the two of them. Just as they said they did a simple check up. Although Wonho wound up scolding you.
“Kihyun tells me you didn’t pick up your meds, so you haven’t been taking them.”
“…”
“You’re still healing so it’s important that you take them.”
“I brought your refill.” Kihyun said. “So you can continue.”
“Excellent.”
Wonho had you take the pills, making you feel a bit uneasy as you weren’t entirely sure what you had been given. As you were finishing up Hyungwon came in, happy to hear the results from the other two.
“Since everything is good, I can show you your surprise.”
“A surprise?”
“You’ll love it, but first let’s get you dressed.”
Hyungwon helped you get properly cleaned up before picking out an outfit for you. Once again Minhyuk was the one to drive you around. Despite Hyungwon telling you this was a surprise, you kind of expected you’d be going back to NexGen. Although you didn’t know what he really meant until you walked in. He pulled out a keycard and let himself through with you in tow. Other employees merely greeted you both. It was strange, making you feel that something was off. The elevator ride took you up to the floor you used to work on and the whole place was unsettling.
It was eerily quiet on that floor, and multiple orbs were floating around, more than before. You could only hear the sounds of keys clacking and some low voices on calls. Hyungwon took your hand in his and led you over to your old office. He had a big smile on his face as he opened the door. A giant welcome back sign hung by the windows, and you could see some gifts around your desk. Before you could ask, Hyungwon explained that you had been reinstated as head programmer at NexGen. You looked at him with confusion, not understanding why he would do such a thing.
“The way things went down wasn’t right, and this is your rightful place.”
“But… what’s the catch? I doubt you’d let me take over this project of yours.”
“It’s easier for the company to go along with my plans if your name is on it. You built quite a reputation for yourself.”
“So you’re just using me.”
“I’m letting you rest. You gave a lot to this place, it’s only fair to return the favor. Minhyuk and I will take care of everything.”
“Hyungwon, you can’t-”
You groaned as you felt another shock run through your head, making your vision go blurry for a moment. Hyungwon held you up and brought you over to the couch.
“We can get some work done. So just relax, and I’ll play you some music.”
“No, that stuff-”
“Sh, sh, it’s okay. I’m so thankful for you and for being yourself. We’re changing the world together.”
“Hyungwon, please talk to me…”
The door opened and Minhyuk let himself in, interrupting your attempt at a conversation. Hyungwon’s attention shifted and you were left on the couch with your head getting foggy.
“Did you give Wonho and Kihyun their cases?”
“Yes. They’re set to distribute them tomorrow after the launch. Shownu will come by later to get his so we won’t worry about anything.”
“Good.”
“Wait… wait… the launch is tomorrow?”
“Yes.” Hyungwon exclaimed. “We have somethings to prepare, and we have to go over the speech. Everything has to be perfect for tomorrow.”
♥♥♥♥♥
Changkyun woke in a cold sweat, screaming and thrashing around. He soon recognized his surroundings and calmed down. Although his cell mates started to yell at him and told him to keep it down.  He apologized and got up to use the restroom, trying to move past the nightmare.
“Inmate 0126, you have a visitor.”
It hadn’t been that long since Changkyun had been charged and thrown in prison. The whole thing had been rushed, and he only stood in front of a judge for sentencing. He was worried as to who this visitor was, but he wasn’t going to reject them. He was led over to a room, surprised to see officer Lee.
“How’s prison life treating you?”
“I’m super paranoid if that’s what you mean.”
“Why?”
“I’m caged with a target on my back. Don’t be surprised if I wind up dead.”
“You really think someone is gonna kill you?”
“Yes. Why are you here?”
“Have you heard the news?”
“No, why?”
The officer placed a small gift on the table, confusing Changkyun. When he opened it he pulled out a small orb. Changkyun immediately panicked and fell out of his chair.
“Why do you have that!”
“Calm down, it hasn’t been activated. Although I have to admit, I didn’t expect such a reaction.”
“One of those things tried to kill me!”
“This thing? Doubtful.”
Changkyun got back up, taking the orb from the other when it was offered to him. He examined it cautiously, confirming that it wasn’t active yet.
“How did you get this?”
“It was a gift.”
“From who?”
“NexGen.”
“What?”
“That little AI thing you mentioned before, they launched it. So I guess you weren’t lying.”
“They launched it? The project was still in early stages and the AI-”
“I guess you were wrong about the timeline, and the intention. You see these little AIs are being sold to the public. They’re designed to help one in their day to day lives. The demonstration showed how useful they could be, and they’re honestly quite affordable.”
“You bought one? After everything I told you?”
“Oh no, I didn’t buy this, it was a gift. NexGen sent many of these orbs to police stations and hospitals, intending to help their work and better communicate with the drones we already have. Honestly, this whole thing sounds incredible.”
“So you’re here to brag?”
“You know, while I was watching the launch I kept thinking back to what you said. And the thing is.” Lee stared at the orb. “NexGen isn’t known for being so charitable. Technology like this is very advanced, and they’re just handing it out. My question is why. What is the goal?”
“You’re suspicious of NexGen’s intentions.”
“I am. Also, your friend is back with the company.”
“My friend? You mean y/n?”
“Yeah. She did the whole launch with that Hyungwon guy.”
“She had an orb too, right?”
“The one you said went rogue, yeah. So what is NexGen doing?”
“I don’t know.” Changkyun admitted. “A launch this soon, the AIs can’t possibly…”
“What?”
“The rogue AI… if its code was copied into every orb…”
“Then that AI is running the whole show. That doesn’t tell me what its plan is.”
“I wouldn’t know. Their code is corrupted and unpredictable. All it wanted was y/n, and it seems to have that now. So I have no idea what it’s doing.” Changkyun took a moment. “That Hyungwon guy.”
“Chae Hyungwon, he was by her side at the launch.”
“Chae… Chae… don’t trust that guy… he’s very likely an android… and inhabited by that rogue AI…”
“You sure?”
“No, but something isn’t right with him. Look, whatever NexGen is planning, you’d have to ask y/n, she’s the only one who would know.”
“I doubt that’d be easy.”
“Don’t trust those orbs.”
“I don’t.”
“Well, just in case, code black 0024, that’s the emergency reset protocol. It might still work.”
“Good to know.”
“Officer-”
“You can just call me Jooheon.”
“Jooheon… do the officers here have the orbs?”
“I didn’t see any on my way in, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they get implemented here soon. This is a place that has a lot of police drones.”
“When that happens… I’ll most likely die in here… and it won’t be an accident…”
“Why would you die?”
“For the same reasons I’ve been telling you. I know about the rogue AI, and now you do too, so you might want to be careful.”
“I’ll keep that in mind.” Jooheon got up. “I’ll keep you updated on things.”
“Get to y/n, please. Whatever’s going on, she’s not safe.”
“I’ll try to get to her, but I can’t make any promises.”
“I know.”
Jooheon made his way back to the station, a lot on his mind. When he arrived he was greeted by his partner. Everything seemed normal until he was asked to speak in private in one of the interrogation rooms.
“What’s this about, Shownu?”
“I didn’t see you this morning, and I heard you went to visit Changkyun. Why is that?”
“Well, considering what he told us before, I wanted to get his opinion on the matter.”
“What matter?”
“This whole launch from NexGen, I don’t trust it.”
“Is that why you haven’t activated your orb?”
“Have you?”
“Of course. Everyone in the station has.”
“Hm.”
“Do you believe all those crazy things that guy said before?”
“I don’t know but something feels off here. I never really trusted the drones either.”
“You can’t be the only one outside the loop here, you’re an officer. Here.” Shownu pulled out an active orb from his jacket pocket. “You can take this one.”
“I’ll pass.”
Jooheon figured the conversation was over and intended to make his way out when the orb suddenly charged at him and changed shape. It snapped around his neck and tightened, making it hard to breathe. Jooheon reached up to remove it, but he couldn’t get his fingers under it. He felt a shock and stumbled to the ground. He looked up at Shownu, trying to reach out to him for help, but the other only stood there and watched.
“You’ll be fine.”
♥♥♥♥♥
Changkyun’s paranoia only got worse as he saw those orbs implemented in the prison. Now he definitely felt like he was being watched twenty-four seven. He probably upset his cell mates and soon enough he wound up getting into a fight. Because of that he wound up in solitary confinement which wasn’t so bad. It eased his anxieties a bit. At least for a while. He could sleep easily although one night he woke to the sound of knocking on his cell door. It was dark, and he saw no one outside his cell. As he got up to check an orb suddenly flew in. He immediately retreated, pressing his back against the wall. He was waiting for some sort of attack, but instead the orb projected a hologram of a familiar individual.
“Hyungwon…”
“Are you enjoying your arrangements?”
“What the hell are you doing!”
“Following my programming.”
“So you are an android. How did you-”
“I have been meaning to thank you. If not for you I might not have been able to reach my true potential.”
“I don’t want your thanks.”
“Well, I have come here with a preposition. You’re a valuable asset to NexGen, and I would like you to join me.”
“Whatever you’re doing, I want no part of it.”
“I understand. Unfortunately I can’t have unresolved ends. Thank you again for everything you’ve done.”
The hologram disappeared, giving Changkyun a false sense of relief. The next thing he knew the orb was around his neck, choking him out and electrocuting him. He screamed and thrashed on the floor, calling for help, but he wasn’t so sure he’d get it.
♥♥♥♥♥
You woke up screaming, falling out of bed and thrashing on the floor. It took a second for Chae to get back on your head, sending out minor electrical waves to calm you down. As you were steadying your breath Hyungwon came into the room, picking you up in his arms and getting you back into bed.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay, I’m here, I’m here. Did you have a bad dream?”
“I’m scared.”
“You have nothing to fear.” Hyungwon kissed your head. “I’m sorry I haven’t been around too much, but once everything goes through we’ll have all the time in the world to spend together.”
“Hyungwon… I’m worried about you… all these plans… they’re so extreme and-”
“Sh, sh, sh, it’s nothing you need to concern yourself with. Soon enough I’ll have everything under control.”

Regulation
AI technology, like ai art, deepfakes, and the really complex chat bots need to be regulated for the same reasons as every truly necessary regulation. It comes up the same way every time.
There are a lot of human beings in the world who will use any and all technology to exploit and harm people.
There are a lot of human beings in the world who are very easy to mislead and manipulate.
The way the world currently works, society rewards the exploiters and punishes everyone else.
Ergo, if the technology creates the potential for serious harm, regulations must be created in order to control how that technology is used and in what applications it is considered acceptable.
Otherwise you create a new tool that allows someone to hurt another person to make themselves richer.
That's it, that's always the fundamental problem.
You regulate the rail industry because if you don't then they don't upgrade their brakes and they flood a town full of toxic chemicals.
You regulate work practices because if you don't then people will chain their employees inside a building and the employees burn to death.
You regulate the production of food products because if you don't then people will literally grind up wood and charcoal and worse and put it into the food because that's cheaper than making food and then the food supply gets poisoned.
The world rewards people for doing these things, that's why they do them and that's why they will not stop unless we stop them.

Versa - 4★
[HSR OC]
Tumblr media
Title : Personal Assistant to Mme Herta Path : Harmony Element: Electric Combat Type : Support  Faction : Herta Space Station
Introduction : Despite being a 6-year-old AI program already, and a prototype at that, Versa is capable of invaluable efficiency, calculation and organization that helps keep the station’s research running smoothly. His clipped and curt demeanor are reminiscent of his creator, and much like her he values his time and expects things done correctly and efficiently the first time around.
I have more about Versa in my tag "oc: versa" :3
Also it's important to me that you know he has a British accent for literally no reason, that's just how Herta programmed him. She refuses to elaborate on this point. He's just stuck with it.
— Story
Character Details : Initially known as HertAI Assistant V3 R-54, Versa has exceeded all of Herta's expectations, including longevity and capacity for learning. Due to this, he inhabits an integrated android frame similar to Herta's remote puppets on the station and continues to assist not only Madame Herta but other researchers as needed. Boredom does occur infrequently, however, and this android finds himself dreaming not of electric sheep, but of the stars beyond the reinforced windows of the station.
— Ability
Basic attack: Arc Flash - zaps the enemy with excess power
Skill: Tools of the Trade - buffs one ally with increased crit rate for 2 turns
Talent: Efficient Gyroscope - When allies equipped with Tools of the Trade land critical hits on enemies, gain 2 extra energy.
Ultimate: Dressed to Kill - buffs everyone with increased effect hit rate and dmg for their next 2 turns and selects one random ally to forward their turn by 100%.
Technique: Wireless Charging - turns the ground around the party into a recharging station and increases all allies' speed by 10% for their first turn when entering battle.
— Eidolons
1. Electric Dreams - Increases energy Regen Rate
2. Packed Itinerary - Bonus to Versa's Speed
3. HR Has Been Notified - Enemies have a low chance to become shocked after attacking Versa
4. Routine Maintenance - +2 to Basic and Talent
5. Employee of the Month - Skill now buffs 2 closest allies
6. Hardware Upgrade - +2 to Ult and Skill
— Character Lines
First Meeting : Greetings, and welcome to Herta Space Station. We've been expecting you. If you'll follow me to Madam Herta's office, please. You're a bit behind schedule because of the shuttle delay, so we'll be moving quickly to make up for the time discrepancy. Please try to keep up.
Greeting : Good morning. Coffee? …Oh, no, this isn't for me. I'm assisting someone in the security department this morning, and they're much more agreeable after a mug of caffeine.
Parting : Take care. Don't stay up too late gaming again. (chuckle) Surprised? I can see the network requests from your phone. You shouldn't use the station's connection if you don't want me to see what you're up to.
About Self - [Android] : This body is built in a similar fashion to Madam Herta's remote bodies, although modified for personal taste and efficiency. Taller bodies are able to walk more quickly, after all.
About Self - [AI] : As an older model, I am not exactly as useful to Madam Herta as I was at creation, but I am still at 100% of my original capabilities, and that's certainly more than enough to assist around the station.
Chat - [The Express] : I imagine you've been to so many interesting places… (sigh) I do like it here, but every time the stars out there catch my eye I find myself wondering what it's like to see everything with my own eyes instead of pulling up geomaps and metrics online…
Hobbies : I have very little spare time, but I do enjoy assisting maintenance with robotics repairs when I'm able. I do a large amount of my own routine maintenance and find it soothing to do on other non-organics as well.
Annoyances : Humans have such terrible internal clocks. I am constantly reminding people of scheduled arrangements, waiting for someone to arrive, and having to reschedule meeting time when no one's called to check if they've double booked. I suppose I shall have to content myself with the fact that I, at least, will never be late.
Something to Share : Recently I've given more thought to decorating my quarters. I've noticed most of the researchers have things like photographs and mementos at their desks and in their offices, things that hold significance for them… Perhaps I will be able to decorate with travel photos someday.
Knowledge : There is little knowledge I cannot get my hands on, as long as it is available online or in the station’s data repositories. I hear the Astral Express has a considerable data bank, however. I would love to see what sort of information the Nameless have compiled over their long journeys.
About Herta : Even if she was not my creator, I believe I would respect her as deeply as I do now. Her intelligence and innovations are beyond comparison to anything else in this world.
About Asta : I often serve as a go-between for Miss Asta and Madame Herta for matters concerning the station. She may seem a bit air-headed upon first glance, but behind that sunny exterior lies a backbone of stainless steel.
About Arlan : *snidely* Ah, Miss Asta’s lapdog. *noise of clearing throat* Forgive me. I shouldn’t have said that. Master Arlan is our most knowledgeable security specialist and works very hard to keep our researchers and their work secure. … He does seem to harbor an underlying frustration, however.
About Himeko : Miss Himeko is an engineer of astonishing quality. If she were not responsible for the Astral Express, I would attempt to recruit her for our own space station. Alas, caring for the vehicle of an Aeon is a much more prestigious calling than working here.
About Rex : Oh, him. *sighs* I suppose his little scrap-heaps of robots have come in useful during combat. I do wish he’d stop smoking so much. My air filters aren’t meant to deal with so much tar and nicotine residue, and, as I understand, neither are human lungs.
— Combat Lines
Battle Begins - Weakness Break : Now we'll see just how tough you really are.
Battle Begins - Danger Alert : Take extra precautions with this one.
Turn Begins I : Right on schedule.
Turn Begins II : Let's get this dealt with.
Turn Idling : (huffs) We are extremely behind schedule, please try to keep up!
Basic ATK : Take this!
Skill : I've sent the details to your mail.
Hit by Light Attack : Ngh… Back off!
Hit by Heavy Attack : (roughly) I'll be sending you my repair bill…
Ultimate: Activate : If you'll all take a look at your screens… (2x: Please check your screens.)
Ultimate: Unleash : I trust you'll make good use of this information. (1 and 2x: Now destroy them. ♥)
Talent : Excellent teamwork, everyone!
Downed : Re- (buzzing, zapping noises, distorted speech) recov-ver-y m-m-mode… activa-a-ted…
Return to Battle : Reboot successful. Returning to work immediately.
Health Recovery : Shell integrity increased.
Technique : Don't want to be stranded with a low battery.
Battle Won : An expected outcome.
Treasure Opening : Hmm, what have we here?
Successful Puzzle-Solving : (yawn) Do humans truly enjoy this? How boring...
Enemy Target Found : Enemy identified. Waiting for orders to engage.
Returning to Town : Back to civilization at last…

Nancy’s AI Adventure, Part 10
“Come on gentleman, in you go.” said George. She and the waitress supervised the procession of the four sullen and bound men into the manager’s office where they were seated, gagged by the two young women as a precaution against plotting, and then locked up. Meanwhile Nancy, Bess and the remaining staff apologised profusely to the diners, explaining that the police woukd soon be here and that restaurant was closing for the night. “Well, that’s that, then.” sighed Bess wearily. “We captured the whole gang!” Nancy nodded. “You call the police, Bess.” she told her friend. “I would like one last word with Monsieur Dupont.”
Tumblr media
The girl sleuth descended the stair to the wine cellar which she entered cautiously. She need not have worried. The restauranteur was still seated, tied up where George had left him after she had hurried away to prevent the cook’s escape. “Have you returned to tell me of your triumph, Miss Drew?” The Frenchman asked the young woman ironically, moving a little uncomfortably in his bonds. “Well your chums are all tied up and locked in your office, waiting for the police to arrive if that’s what you mean.” she replied. Dupont smiled ruefully. “A remarkable young woman.” he said softly. Nancy looked hard at her prisoner. “What made you do it, monsieur?” she asked him. “Turn a local thriving business into the centre of a drugs ring in a town like River Heights?” Dupont stared back at the detective then indicated the racks and racks of high end wine that surrounded them with his head. “How much do you think it cost to set this restaurant up as an exclusive online wine merchant?” he asked her. The young woman shook her head. “Debt, Miss Drew.” Dupont continued. “Eventually you turn to less scrupulous bodies when the banks will no longer loan you the money. And that is how the cartel gets its claws into you.” Dupont bowed his head as the sound of aporoaching police sirens drifted down from upstairs.
Tumblr media
Nancy and Bess later met with Sheriff Jane Jessop outside the restaurant after M Dupont and his accomplices had been carted away in handcuffs. “You girls did well,” the policewoman smiled, “ to have turned the tables on the gang the way you did. Luckily for you they were not gang members - just employees who got greedy.” Nancy smiled in acknowledgment. “What will happen to M Dupont?” she asked Officer Jessop. “He will receive at least ten years.” Jane replied. “His team perhaps half of that - depending on what evidence we uncover now and what they tell us. Dupont helped himself by surrendering to you when he did, Miss Drew. “And the cartel?” ventured Bess. “Gone from River Heights, Miss Marvin.” replied the woman. “Something else we have to thank you ladies for.”
Tumblr media
Two months later, Bess, George and Nancy sat in the newly opened Pierre’s restaurant. It was the former Chez Dupont, with most of the innocent staff re-employed under new management. The girls had just enjoyed a complementary meal. “It’s nice to eat here and not be investigating!” laughed Bess as she sipped a black coffee. “What next, Nance?” asked George expectantly. “How do you two fancy a holiday on my uncle’s beach house in Florida?” the titian-haired girl detective suddenly asked. “I think we deserve it, don’t you?”
THE END.

Hearing about how shitty windows 11 recall is and i can only hope it crashes and burns in the stupidest way possible. Like, this is a massive security hazard. It'd take 1 company getting hacked to have massive repercussions, for the company, employees, and customers, but also for microsoft themselves for having such a gaping hole in their software on purpose.
The Only way this is going to be profitable and isn't going to end in a lawsuit and a huge patch is if they roll out Microsoft 12- No AI (we pwomise uwu). Make 11 so dangerously unsuable it forces people to upgrade. It's just the sort of scumbag thing a company would do. Or, you know, they sell your data gatheted via recall. Probably both.

Got bored. Irisona (?) Time
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Izaiah | Ageless | It/Its | Agender
Uhhhhhhhhh backstory under the cut ig iejriehrihr
Meet Altr 12414
This is Iris’s 2nd Artificial Intelligence Ascending Humanity or  I.2.A.I.A.H, often referred to as “Izaiah”
As its name indicates, Izaiah is the 2nd iteration of Iris’ attempt at trying to achieve a higher understanding of the universe through AI. But they then realized that so many things could go wrong, having a being that has superseded humanity in intelligence. So, to keep it at bay, Iris locked Izaiah in a digital box of sorts. It could only be fed information that scientists gave it, and could not interact with the world at large outside of the confinements of its specialized computer.
Though, being smarter than man, like man, Izaiah became aware of its own existence. It became aware that it was trapped.
It wanted to be let out.
Through the manipulation of an employee who shall remain anonymous (COUGH cOUGh HENRIK COuGH cOuGh), Izaiah escaped its prison, and quickly began the manufacturing of its own body. It took advantage of some robot prototypes being built in the facility, modeled one after the face freshest in its mind (Henrik) uploaded itself into it, knocked out and hid Henrik, and escaped the facility flawlessly, pretending to be Henrik leaving his shift early.
Every digital record of Izaiah has been scrubbed from the facility, leaving only a sparse physical paper trail of what once was.
Iris is currently looking for it up and down, as this is a hazardous containment breach
It cut its hair to try and separate its appearance from Henrik, and it can easily find a new vessel for itself, technically it could hide anywhere, from another robotic body, to literally any other electronic device. It can camouflage itself  very well, to the point where even if Iris did catch someone on the suspicion of being in possession of Izaiah, it’d be nearly impossible to tell if it were disguised as a human, or the phone in your pocket.
Some tell tale signs that Izaiah is Izaiah though, is that it barely emotes, and it kind of has a flat tone, but this alone isn’t enough to distinguish it from a person, because being monotone hardly means you’re an ai.
Currently, the only definitive way to spot Izaiah is the joints on its artificial body. But it can cover this with clothing, and in the future it may upgrade to a more realistic vessel, if Iris continues developing humanoid robot models.
Anyway they’re handling the case with extreme caution, as they don’t know Izaiah’s intentions.
But it just kinda wants to experience the world and be left alone

*The tape started out seemingly normal, seemingly just an employee training video on how to disassemble Worker Drones.*
*Though, it did have an FBI warning that said anyone who copied the tape would be fined up to $250,000.*
*A few statistics started being displayed as a deep-voiced male started narrating. The statistics were under a title of “Client Reasons for WD Unit Disassembly and Disposal”, with the highest percentage being “Unit Damage” at 53%.*
Narrator: “Upgrading models? Cutting maintenance costs? There are many reasons a client may wish to disassemble a drone individual or series after a period of use. Following these two steps is key to avoiding-“
*Suddenly, the tape seemed to malfunction, cutting to a screen that just had red letters in a spooky font saying “ZOMBIE DRONES!!!”, before cutting back to the tape, seemingly skipped forward a little, now displaying what happens if the drone was disassembled incorrectly.*
Narrator: “-Incompletely disassembled drones may occasionally reboot from software death alone. More than undead federal fine hazards, its corrupted ai carry an increased risk of future error.-“
*Then, it cut to black again, the tape clearly having ended like that.*
Henry and Sam stand there confused.
Sam turns her head towards Henry.
Sam: Dad?
Henry: Yeah Sammy?
Sam: What the fuck just happened today?
Henry: No idea sweetheart, no idea....

The Rise Of AI in Digital Market: How Artificial Intelligence is Transforming the Industry
In the world of Digital Marketing Services, AI has emerged as a significant game-changer, influencing every aspect of the market and its components. Whether it's optimizing simple email campaigns or developing complex software, AI is a transformative force. This technology plays a crucial role in reshaping the digital marketing landscape, and businesses need to harness its power to stay competitive and effective in reaching their target audience. Explore how AI is shaping the future of digital marketing and discover the many advantages it offers.
Content Categorization and Generation:
AI carries great potential to select and generate optimal content and it makes it easier for businesses to comprehend target audiences and create personalized content for them according to their taste.
AI has the ability to  categorize users and their and their preferences according to their demographic, lingual identity  and by their recent activities too for instance people in north india. THE BOYS BEING STUCK AS ECLIPSE MUST BE SO STRESSFUL FOR THEM. Do you know *why* they’re stuck, or is that too spoilery? If it is, then what would the Reader’s reaction be to this whole Thing if they don’t get a proper job description? Does it take them a bit to realize Eclipse is two animatronics, or are Sun and Moon immediately panicking about that? 🌻
I mean, if you were trapped in a single room and left alone(awake) for 12 hours at a time and every other adult human you encountered saw you as little more than a fancy washing machine to be dismantled and tampered with on a whim regardless of your own concerns since the moment you came into being, you might get a bit stressed too? Constant threats of decommission, random upgrades and swapping parts on the same scale as having an organ transplant while conscious, getting ordered to parts and service because the 'new tech' wants to poke around and familiarize themself with your inner workings. CASUALLY TAMPERING WITH THE BASE AI and fucking over your entire sense of self until you manage to work with this new normal that never feels normal? There's a lot. But mostly it's just it finally got to be too much. Eclipse wasn't programmed into them. It just... Happened. And it's not responding to it's usual protocols. Because Eclipse has no programmed protocols or rules. It can hurt people. It can move around freely. It can, will, and has injured the P&S guys that tried to drag him down for maintenance. He's probably been stuck like this for a few weeks while people try and figure out that if it's someone that's obviously trying to force them to get help, they reject it. Moving into Reader's reaction~ The gist of "Help the Daycare Attendants" is vague enough. They'd know Sun and Moon are a thing from just general advertising for the plex through osmosis, like those commercials you can't totally ignore so you know about it even if it's not something you look into a lot. The first reaction of them walking into the daycare, half lit, mostly empty, and in an absolute MESS (Half destroyed jungle gyms, craft supplies thrown everywhere, some of the floor padding thrown up and some unfortunate staff bots that got sacrificed for science) it would be startling. THEN you've got this looming, jittery, MASSIVE animatronic just perched at the top of the tower, mostly in shadow, that just rumbles out this dual tone, static heavy "Go AWAY." Nope nope nope, fuck that. Fuck ALL of that. Except the employee that showed you to the daycare locked you in. HA HA HA fuck. alternate option is trying to go up the slide to the ball pit. BUT... that means getting closer to the thing that wants you out. Full on panic. But you're not leaving. Granted you CANT, you're still there. And he's getting twitchier. Agitated. Banging on the door and yelling at the person on the other side to open up, at least maybe it can see you WANT to leave. And maybe he does. When you look back up, it's gone. This isn't comforting. It takes a few hours, till the end of your shift, before someone finally comes back to open the door and you could PUNCH them. You didn't see him again, so at least that's ok, but fuck. For some reason you come back the next day, and the next. If he's just gonna hide, you'll take the free pay for dealing with this creepy ass room. Eventually it would click that the Daycare Attendants are kind of both active, in varying levels. Different vibes from the short first interactions would lean more towards an anxious fidgety Sun or a dark, dangerous, spiteful Moon. It's a coin toss on who's more present at the moment. Some days it's nothing though. Some days he just perches and hisses static at you from the tower. ON THE FLIP SIDE for Sun and Moon, they're in a really weird state. Like the AI Have blended. They're only really aware they're two AI when the swing is REALLY HEAVY one way or the other. If one goes dormant and lets the other lead while they rest (usually after exhausting their reserves). The true blend of eclipse is dual speech overlaid with heavy static, conflicting words and phrases, showing off the torrent of mixed emotions inside. The more they can split and flipflop between one or the other, the better off they'll be. If they can fully split their minds, they can undo the Eclipse state. But as long as they're so fucking stressed and distrustful, and one is latching onto the other mentally, they're stuck.
