Project 2025 makes it very possible that we could lose AO3. It features same sex relationships and smut and could be something that the new administration sees as an enemy. It’s possible that it would simply be banned in the US and other countries can still use it, but since I’m pretty sure it’s an American website the whole thing might just be destroyed instead. So everyone might lose it.

Here’s what we should all do just in case.

1. Download your favorite works as a PDF and back them up on multiple devices so you don’t lose them.

2. If you are a writer, try to publish your works on multiple different platforms like fanfiction.net and wattpad. I’m a Doctor Who writer so I know about whofic, but do research on your fandom to see if there’s fandom specific sites available.

Edit: I want to be extra clear that readers should download works that aren’t about same sex love or don’t have smut too. I think it goes without saying but I want to be very clear that the Trump administration is more likely to ban or delete the whole archive than it is to sort through what content it deems “appropriate”.

For everyone in America, there are a lot of voter registration deadlines coming up between now and early next week. Please register to vote. Even if you usually avoid politics, there is a lot at stake in this election. Democracy, women’s rights, Palestine, and the safety and self determination of people of color and the LGBTQ population are all on the line. Donald Trump is extremely dangerous. And so is JD Vance who could easily have to take over for him.

I am not going to turn this into a political blog but I will be making a few posts on here about the election between now and November 5th.

recently i have been scared shitless abt what 2025 will bring for me and for many others. my mom told my dad that i was worried bc he was visiting, and we talked. he has told me in the past that he voted for trump bc he'll be better for the economy and that he doubts that he'll actually do what he says he's going to.

i love my dad, dont get me wrong, but wtf? by voting for that greasy bandaid, you are not only displaying your apathy for all of the people that are going to be oppressed bc of what he has in store for when/if he gets in office, you are also showing that all of that was not a dealbreaker for you.

When I'm not crying I am laughing

One thing that has made me laugh is that my Mom actually thought before this election that I was gonna move to Texas because she thought I might meet a guy and fall head over heels in love with them.

I think my Mom might be a romantic at heart... well, at least, when it comes to me finding love.

Even if I did (which hell no! 4B all the way) I refuse to live in the south.

I lived there for a small period of my life.

And lastly, I will never move to a red state.

I am from Minnesota (which, if you don't know, is a historically blue state) and I prefer to either put up with these damned winters or move all the way to a country where I'd have to learn another language than move to Texas.
