Appeal to Prejudice

The film also highlighted the alien nature of East European Jews, with "stereotypical" Polish Jews transformed into "western-looking" Jews. See when people say "Globalize the Intifada" it implies that there are only two choices in the conflict. One, is the pro-Palestine side, that the aggressive resistance against Israel, and those who support it, and the pro-Israel side is the ones they are against. Without realizing that there is a peaceful option. ( The one I do not know because, one I am not a politician, and international politics is a mess. And two I do not know enough about the conflict to support a peaceful end where everyone is satisfied. )

Cherry picking

How the fuck can you consider yourself leftist if your belief is that a leftist society is the ideal but that you believe that for practicality we need to only fight for an implement centrist policies due to "practicality". This appeal to practicality, calling leftist advocates naive, and telling them to change the system from within, used to be the realm of boomer conservatives who used to be leftists, now it's the line of millennial conservatives who used to be leftists and they don't even have the politeness to call themselves conservatives. It's gotten past the point where that's even only being used agaisnt the really radical stuff, you now have people who don't want any advocacy for trans people because they see it as bad optics.

You know it's really sad that the golden trio actors don't realize that they are like a real-life Dolores Umbridge. Social Contagion is a Nazi theory of how queer people of all kinds become queer.

Saw some folk asking about this in tags on another post so here's the story.

Social contagion is a theory that is built on two major false premises. The first false premise being that LGBTQIA+ don't procreate. The second false premise being that LGBTQIA+ people are so by choice, or at least, that it's not innate.

Social contagion as a theory is as follows; since queer people can't have kids the only way they'll make more queer people is by convincing other people to become queer.

This the Nazi party propaganda newsletter wrote about in great detail, wherein they described how gay people would manipulate and recruit otherwise straight children into becoming gay. They had words for those types of gays.

They said, basically outright, that telling children that queer people exist in the world was an attempt to turn those children queer.

Obviously, every last piece of actual fucking research on the matter has conclusively shown this is a load of fucking bullshit, and most people know and understand that telling a five year old that some boys like boys and some girls like girls doesn't magically turn them gay no more than seeing all the heterosexuality in the world prominently displayed across all forms of media can guarantee that every child ever will stay straight. THAT'S JUST NOT HOW THAT WORKS!

But, the anti-trans torchbearers of yesteryear's ideology don't care that this isn't how that works, nor do they appear to care that they're upholding Nazi rhetoric, not even conveniently repackaged or relabeled.

The only thing they've changed is that they specifically apply this to trans people, for the time being, though they are beginning to attempt to widen the definition to include all queer people, same as the Nazis did. This is where the groomer rhetoric is coming from.
