PROPAGANDA
Yukio Okumura (LONG PROPAGANDA)
(Does contain spoilers and suicide mentions) Ok so the main issue I see people having with him is because he has threatened his brother and has shot him before. (His brother, Rin, is also the fan favorite so you can probably imagine people's feelings towards those scenes.) A lot of times Yukio also comes off as mean because he's a pretty closed off person and people don't like that either.
Although what people love to ignore is the reasons as to *why* he acts this way. (Granted, harming your brother is not an ok thing to do and it doesn't excuse that but it explains why he did what he did.) For starters, Rin was the one who inherited Satan's demonic power, not Yukio, meaning that Rin could potentially become dangerous even though his powers were locked away until he was about 15. Because of this, the boys' adoptive father, Shiro, put the responsibility of protecting Rin onto Yukio from the age of 7. So while Yukio was training to become an exorcist at a very young age, Rin got to live without knowing anything about demons or exorcists. This did cause some envy from Yukio, who felt the crushing pressure of having to do everything for his brother while Rin had no idea. Later on, Rin's power awakens at 15 (the present time in the story) and after a series of events, Shiro ends up dying due to becoming possessed by Satan. With their legal guardian dead, Yukio is now the one who has to take care of Rin because if his demonic power gets discovered, Rin will be executed by the Vatican. So yeah. In the span of ONE DAY Yukio now has even more pressure put on him and he didn't even get to say goodbye to Shiro, let alone grieve for him because he had to be the calm and collected one in the situation. (Yukio is also 15 btw!!) Now, both boys are going to enroll in True Cross Academy, a school that also has a secret exorcist program. At this time, Rin has no knowledge that Yukio knows what's going on. It's only until he's at the exorcist cram school that Rin finds out that his teacher is Yukio. This leads to a confrontation between the brothers as Rin feels rightfully betrayed that everyone knew except him. This is also where Yukio reveals some of his concerns, leading to people not liking him. Essentially, Yukio says that Rin could be a danger to others because he can't control his powers yet and that Yukio will kill him if it's necessary (this is also where he threatens his brother with a gun). Eventually the conflict does get resolved and they go back to normal for the most part. So not only does Yukio have to keep his brother from getting into trouble (which he does. several times. Rin does eventually get discovered.) but he also has to be an exorcist AND a teacher. Yukio constantly has to act like an adult throughout the series, and HE'S ONLY 15!! He has so much pressure put on him by everyone and if he makes a mistake, either him or Rin could die. As the series continues, you can see Yukio's mental health rapidly worsening due to his self-hatred leading him to several suicide attempts (which he doesn't die because Satan is now residing in his body). Yukio also feels that Shiro never really cared about him and only kept him to be raised as a weapon. All this and the fact that he's being manipulated by another antagonist character leads him to join sides with the Illuminati (the evil organization). By doing this, he will be able to take down the Illuminati from the inside and hopes that he and Satan will die along with it. The entire time up to this point Rin does not realize just how bad Yukio's mental health has been (which to be fair, Yukio is pretty closed off and has lied to his brother several times). Yukio then tries to force Rin to kill him, and ultimately fails because Rin cares too much. Overall, Yukio had so many responsibilities and felt as though he had to take everything on alone. It's honestly very tiring seeing people villainize everything bad he's ever done while completely ignoring how much he actually cares for his brother + all his mental health issues. This is only a summary of the things he's gone through so there's definitely some other details that show the escalation of his depression that weren't included here. But yeah. Justice for Yukio. He does not deserved to be treated like Satan (pun intended).
Apple White
everyone shut up about her being evil and selfish she is a teenage girl who has been raised HER WHOLE LIFE with this ideology, she can’t unlearn her entire belief system overnight especially when it’s so deeply tied to her identity as a person. also she literally does let go of it eventually, because she’s not a static character, she has an arc. apple is my favorite because she’s complex, not in spite of it. on the flipside there’s the people who act like she didn’t do anything wrong. i’ve seen people call raven the selfish one? this show was made for 5 years olds. how do you have less media comprehension that a 5 year old. and also, you’re loving apple the wrong ways!! she makes mistakes. she fucks up so much, and it’s awesome. i get overcompensating because the haters are so loud or whatever, but saying she’s perfect is erasing what makes her interesting. this propaganda is not very good because I’m guessing a lot of propaganda looks identical (edelgard and vriska have similar issues in fandom spaces) so here is my final pitch. vote for apple because she’s a lesbian (her canon soulmate was a girl). vote for apple because she’s a protagonist in a kids cartoon who was a lesbian way back in jan 2016. vote for apple because mattel let the face of their new franchise be a girl who likes girls (still feels surreal) #gayrights #applesweep

demon slayer oc
last edited: 07/14/24 | 14/07/24
spoilers are below btw.
trying my best at a photo id so bear/bare(?) with me here: hoshiko sora is a dark skinned woman with short, dark brown hair with reddish undertones in the style of a mullet, her longer hairs are colored purple with blue tips, her eyes are a deep bluish purple with a normal purple gradient, her characteristic is her dark under eyes, besides the standard demon slayer uniform, her haori is a dark purple with a vivid purple gradient consisting of white stars, her kyahan is a darker shade of blue with sparkles and stars.
Tumblr media
- some lore on the oc in question, i decided to name her hoshiko sora, it's not her birth name but it's a name. - oldest of 2 other siblings, and is the second ever foreigner to become a hashira, after the death of her mentor, yukiko, ice breather, -- hoshiko was very close with her younger sister, yumeko, who turned out to be a "fallen angel," later having to kill her, her younger brother is in the care of the other ladies that live with her. - she lives with 15 women, all of them non-japanese, and 14 foster children named after colors. - her birthday is october 25th and she is 19 years old. - she's the star hashira and uses celestial breathing and to be real i don't give a rats ass if it's mary sue (she's already self insert so come at me bro) - her eyebags are genetic, not because of a lack of sleep, her mother and sister had the same eyebags. - she rides a giant sentient star she names sirius, and has even smaller stars she keeps as pets, their names and stuff are linked here. - her hair is based off a hairstyle i did back in 2022 minus the mullet. - she can sing, really good. -- when she was younger, she would sing yumeko and her brother lullabies she made up, and her voice is described as "otherworldly." - she's like 5'9 or 176 cm, the exact height of giyu, she weighs about 185 pounds - while her main love interest is kyojuro and is the one she chooses in the end, she can be shipped with all of the hashira (minus the 14 year old kid, he was with yumeko until you know what happened.), since they all find her to be beautiful. (ok fine i own up to it, she's mary sue, but hey, at least im free from cringe culture.) -- when she first joined, she had a crush on obanai, but after she found out that he was not only afraid of women, but he was... simultaneously in love with one, she was so heartbroken she contemplated on retiring as a demon slayer, and was also deeply resentful and jealous of mitsuri, but, her sister talked her out of it, and once yumeko had joined the hashira, she helped hoshiko get along with mitsuri better. - her personality consists of her being laidback, down to earth and composed, very go with the flow and tends to stay out of unnecessary conflict, she can be pretty comedic too. -- i guess when it comes to her personality, think a little of sans from undertale? - in the kimetsu academy au, she studies at a university overseas as an astronomer, while her descendant is an astronaut.
those other stats
- she shares a rank with tengen when it comes to physical strength, why? as a child she had a weird fixation for lifting heavy things, no one not even she knows why, weird childhood things i guess. - she's not the fastest, but isn't slow, either, ranks between giyu and obanai. - on the openness scale, she's around 75%. - on the kindness scale, she ranks between gyomei and obanai.
her opinions on everyone
"she's a pretty nice gal! however... something about her bugs me... if you catch my drift, also, i'm not a fan of bugs." - insect hashira "the same age as my dear sister, he's taken a liking to her, and what can i say? i don't blame him, they'll get married for sure! but not both of us, kid!" - mist hashira "im sorry to say it, but the man's awfully cringe, and no, i'm not taking up on the offer to be the fourth wife, nice nails though! which wife did them?" - sound hashira "he's got that mysteriousness to him i find attractive in men, but, we don't always get what we want, do we? but hey, at least i don't have to worry about being bitten by a snake, right?" - serpent hashira "honestly, i don't have a real opinion on the guy, he's pretty cool i should say, however he's got some secrets the rest don't know, thats my favorite part about him. ;)" - stone hashira "a gloomy fellow he seems, but, if you put it past you, he's got more to him, it makes me sad how the other members treat him like that." - water hashira "loud as can be, gives me an array of compliments, the others are saying 'give him a chance, can't you see? he's in love with you!' ... hmm, i can admit, he's got an essence." - flame hashira "dear god, why can't i be blessed with such beauty? the man i had fallen for has fallen for her! why does this always happen to me?" - love hashira "now, can i say he's terrifying? not really, but am i lying when i say those eyes don't freak me out just a little? also yes." - wind hashira
everyones opinions on her.
"a celestial breather? well thats certainly unique!" - insect hashira "she's like a jellyfish, she's very flowy and beautiful, she also has a very pretty sister." - mist hashira "she's very flashy! if i had the chance to choose my wife, she would've been my first pick, she has the best hips for childbirth here!" - sound hashira "i heard she likes me... ew, but at least she's pretty." - serpent hashira "she has a beautiful singing voice, rengoku is deeply in love with her, but she loves obanai..." - stone hashira "she's very kind to me and understands me well, i like her very much." - water hashira "she may not look it, but she's very ruthless during battle, she's also the most beautiful woman i have ever laid my eyes on!" - flame hashira "she's very beautiful, i have never seen rengoku so flattered! but, i don't think she likes me much.." - love hashira "she's pretty cool, actually." - wind hashira

LOZ Character Analysis/...
Hero of the Sky part 1
Tumblr media
Link was born for the expressed purpose of finishing off the evil entity Hylia and her Hero failed to defeat eons before his time. At first, neither knew the true scale of what they were getting roped into, but as the stakes rose, sacrifices had to be made. Link wasn’t at all interested in fighting someone else’s war, he just wanted to save his childhood friend.
Fate however, demanded more of him, and through the course of his adventure he came to realise that this was bigger than himself. There was a job to do and as the new hero he was the only one who could do it. Although there were many dangers and trials on the path he took, one person kept him going.
It was all for her.
A/n: This is a reupload of an oldish post which I’ve taken too long to edit. I do go pretty hard on Sky’s character and SS’s storytelling. I tried to just cover Sky’s character, but most problems I had with also related to Sun’s lack of development- since the two are meant to grow and change together- which is the fault of the story as a whole.
Any writing in italic will be my attempt to rewrite parts of SS, mostly just ideas though, not a fully formed script. Also, I have not proofread this, so expect edits.
Even if you don’t agree with what I say, I hope it’s fun to read :)
~~~
This Link had it easy compared to the rest of the chain, especially Time and Wild. Sky was low-key coddled by Fi, whereas the other two were completely screwed over by her judgement.
This boy spent his days sleeping on floating island, sleeping on a flying bird, and sleeping…everyday, all the time. He had a natural perfect bond with his incredibly amazingly rare crimson Loftwing, he was naturally the most gifted swordsman despite sleeping in class, sleeping in, frequently skipping class and whenever he was awake he’d mentally be somewhere else.
He seems to have no family and Zelda seems like his only friend (but those are just assumptions). Also he got bullied a bit, but that was because Groose was jealous of him and his relationship with Zelda (wouldn’t be surprised if the whole academy knew that tbh). So I’d argue that this guy had the most idyllic and carefree pre-adventure life of any hero.
Out of every incarnation of the hero, Sky should have been the one to get development. But instead he just sort of goes through the motions of the hero’s journey and doesn’t seem to be impacted by anything he goes through. Which worked for the other heroes who were either children with no responsibility in the first place (like Time, Wind and Hyrule) or proactive young adults with accomplishments (like Twi, Warrior and Wild), because their characters didn’t warrant an arc (they developed a bit though). However, it’s a detriment to Sky’s character because he starts out as a naturally gifted but lazy daydreaming individual and doesn’t go through any sort of development.
...Btw having his spirit ‘grow’ after those Silent Realm trials isn’t all that symbolic and definitely isn’t character development (not to say that they were bad, they were scarily fun to play through). I will stand by the notion that despite being one of the most characterised incarnations, Sky doesn’t have an arc. Nintendo were able to give Midna an incredible clear arc that was driven by her adapting and responding to the selfless acts of Twi and Dawn. Meaningless metaphors and fetch quests aren’t good enough.
The game went out of it’s way to characterize Link, giving him dialogue options, varied facial expressions and information from other characters. Which is all well and good, but it doesn’t communicate what Link thinks and feels about the quest he’s on. From memory the only things I remember is that he cares a lot about Zelda, enjoys playing his harp and watching Fi dance, doesn’t seem to like combat much and thinks Groose has ‘nice hair’:
Ok forgive the tangent but...if Groose always styled his hair that way then Link would have no reason to comment on it. Which means that it was a new style he was trying out. In that case, the line can either be read as Link complimenting Groose or sarcastically making fun of him. Given that the line wasn’t relevant to the conversation, Link probably wasn’t listening and just said it to get him to shut up and leave him alone. Then again, Groose was stroking his hair constantly, maybe Link noticed that and complimented him to assure him that the new style looked good. The former reason sounds more like Sky though.
What could motivate an idle sleepyhead with great untapped potential rise up to become a courageous hero? Is it love? Maybe the theme SS was going for was that love can motive great courageous acts and inspire people to change for the better. To the game’s credit it does a great job of exploring that theme...most notable in Groose’s arc as well as the gratitude crystal side quests.
With this idea in mind you’d expect Link to take charge, grab the reins of destiny and proactively go after Zelda- maybe even ignoring advice from Fi to chase after his friend, showing his unwavering resolve. He’d form a sort of rivalry with Impa, maybe even swinging the fact that he’s ‘the hero’ in her face to justify staying by Zelda’s side. He’s being selfish here, maybe he knows it but doesn’t understand what’s actually at stake here and so doesn’t care (I know he’s been told a bunch of exposition from everyone and their grandma- but getting too complacent/not taking his duty seriously and then messing up would be more effective at making Link shape up and improve. Especially when his life’s gone perfectly so far with little effort on). Then that mindset can blow up in his face, maybe endanger Zelda or a group of surface dwellers making him shape up as a hero, go out and kick ass. Changing for the better and selflessly dedicating himself to his role for the sake of those who can’t defend themselves from the evil he’s destined to face alone.
Except Link has little to no agency in the game. He’s either following Impa’s demands or Fi’s ‘advice’, which makes me wonder if he’s doing all the hero stuff because he wants to or only because he has to. There’s no real sense of saving the world from a devastating threat when the Skyloftians are safe from any danger high above the clouds, and the beings on the surface appear to be blissfully ignorant of what’s at stake.
Imagine how much more compelling it would’ve been to have the game open with beautiful watercolour storybook exposition about the Hylia and the war with Demise, before transitioning to Link and Zelda as children nestled in a sweet little blanket fort reading the story by lamplight (the old ‘show don’t tell’ us that they are childhood friends, and maybe they can remark on the fates of those left behind by Hylia as she formed Skyloft. Also, smol Sun and Sky). Then they make a promise to venture to the surface together when they graduate the academy, and it transitions then to them as young adults.
It can play out the same as in the game, but after Link wins he surprises Zelda with plans and packed bags ready to go to the surface, recalling their childhood dream. They then sneak off to break through the cloud barrier, maybe through some shady Ghirahim shenanigans or Zelda’s Goddess powers can unconsciously awaken and create a path for them (that would then alert Ghirahim of her presence).
Then there’s a cute montage of them exploring the surface world together. They would arrive in some part of the Faron woods, and would look at plants, marvell at the tiny birds and run after other strange wildlife. At some point they are attacked by Ghirahim, and after some fighting he overpowers Link, takes Zelda away and sends the teenager back to Skyloft. Via tornado, because that would be cool.
Link miserably tells her father what happened. Before their adventure, he had a fight with them beforehand about going to the surface, so here he really chews Link out for losing his daughter, throwing everything he said days ago back in his face. Everyone on Skyloft hears what happened and they are all now on edge because they think something bad is going to happen. Meanwhile Link is a mess, regretting what he did and wishing things played out differently. Then Fi joins the plot and the quest begins.
Now there are personal stakes, Link is more of an active character and he has a more personal vendetta against Ghirahim- who I think was meant to be like a rival type antagonist. There’s also more of a sense of urgency with this version, and some redemption and knight’s honour to be restored too. Plus it makes the surface world seem more dangerous, foreign and hostile from Link’s pov.
But back to reality, the nightmare itself in game was kind of pointless. After all Link freaking ignored it! He didn’t act on it at all, he wasn’t anxious about it in any meaningful way during the ceremony and he didn’t even mention it to Zelda. It was just business as usual for him, until destiny smacked him and his bird out of the firmament.
The night following Zelda’s disappearance, Fi appears in Link’s room and leads him to the Goddess Sword, thus starting his journey. And can I point out the ludonarrative dissonance going on in this beginning section. Link and the player are supposed to be laser focused on getting to Zelda, but since the game is all about exploration it also wants the player to slow down and look around. But that actively undermines Link’s drive to reach Zelda and makes it seem like he isn’t taking his role seriously. I would say that this reflects Link’s fascination with the surface...but Zelda was the one who wanted to explore the surface. That was her dream not his! It wasn’t established that Link felt about it just as strongly as her.
Also why are we never shown how Impa meets Zelda? Heck, why aren’t we given more scenes of Zelda’s journey in general when she’s the deuteragonist? It makes sense that she’d drop her want to explore the surface in order to focus on her new duties. She was characterised as more responsible and active than Link, so her taking it seriously from day one and encouraging Link to do the same also makes sense. But how did she initially react to learning that she was the ‘spirit maiden’? When Link finally gets to her, she’s already dolled up in her Goddess drip, harp in tow and ready to do whatever Impa tells her. But why?! And why is she going along with Impa and not insisting that she and Link work together?
The game doesn’t address it and I’m not going to bother coming up with reasons because there was no real reason in the first place why they had to be separated. Everything about her character told me that she would want to work with Link at her side, as childhood friends they would have unyielding faith in each other, yet this strong willed girl let a stranger control her every move.
That aside, can I also mention how manufactured the conflict is in the game? Every now and then the Imprisoned shows up to wreak havoc…but, that thing is never really a threat. To be honest, there’s no collateral damage and they fight it so many times it basically becomes a minor annoyance…almost routine. There’s Ghirahim sure, but Link is able to beat him three times, which begs the question: why does Link let Ghirahim live after each encounter? He is the one Zelda and Impa are running from and if he dies then Demise can’t be resurrected. It’s clear he hates him and knows he’s the biggest threat, so what’s stopping Link from killing him?
It makes sense with the evil legged avocado, I guess, because each time it’s defeated Link just puts a magical band aid on its seal. I can understand him escaping once, but three times? Although I’d forgive him if he didn’t take Ghirahim seriously as a threat (even though his facial expressions in game prove otherwise), after all it’s not like Zelda is ever in any real danger at any point in the game. She’s either being chaperoned by Impa or asleep encased in amber.
Hey, here’s another question: does Link actually want to be doing all this?
The obvious answer would be yes; with the other heroes this is something you don’t even think to question, at least a few dungeons in. But like I said earlier, Sky is different. Despite being almost an adult he’s still complacent and a daydreamer coasting through life on natural talent alone, (since he doesn’t go through any development I’ll assume he stays that way), and during his quest he has the servant of the Goddess dictating his every move. So it’s not like he could opt out, but he’s always told exactly where to go and what to do, with nothing going wrong.
Would someone like that willingly put themselves through all this because they genuinely want to or just go along with it because they’re given everything they need to succeed?
Does he even like adventuring? How invested is he in helping people? Does he disagree with Hylia’s decision to flee into the sky, having seen the precarious state of the surface (at least that should be the case, and following my lore it is. But, the in game npcs on the surface are straight vibing despite the fact that a primal evil is trying to resurrect itself and destroy them all) without the Goddess’ protection? Does he feel guilty perhaps? Does he feel a need to protect the surface? Does he value the tribes on the surface as much as the people on Skyloft? Does he maybe resent Zelda for his circumstance, as Hylia’s incarnation/replacement?
My interpretation is that he realises at some point that he actually doesn’t actually like adventuring and travelling (hence the frequent breaks headcanon and keeping everyone on Skyloft posted). He likes some aspects of it like seeing new sights, catching bugs, camping and gathering food/materials, but he finds long drawn out enemy camp battles exhausting, dungeons aren’t really his cup of tea (save for the Cistern and the pirate ship because they were amazing), he hates constantly needing to fight the evil avocado and more than anything despises Ghirahim’s numerous encounters- he doesn’t kill him...because he can’t, incompetence I guess.
He does disagree with Hylia’s decision to leave the surface and he does feel awful that the other races were left to fend for themselves, but he doesn’t resent Zelda for it at all. Because it has nothing to do with her, she ain’t Hylia.
Speaking of, Zelda immediately being ok and accepting of the whole Goddess thing with no push back is a waste of potentiel. It could have been a huge paradigm shift for her, but nothing comes of it. Unless it was an act so that Link wouldn’t worry about her...but they’re childhood friends! Even if that was the case Link would’ve seen through it immediately, leading me to believe that her reaction was genuine. When I first watched a playthrough of SS, I thought she was possessed by Hylia and that’s why she was so calm.
It’s a shame because there’s some really compelling stuff that SS’s story doesn’t want to delve into. The story is mainly focused on the relationship between Link and Zelda, but there’s no interesting conflict there, instead it’s just Zelda is in trouble and Link needs to save her and save the world. I’d love to have seen them grapple with Zelda’s identity as the Goddess reincarnated or lean more into Link’s reluctance to play the hero (does he maybe blame the hero before him for Demise’s return?) or talk about Hylia’s decision to abandon those on the surface.
‘Even though I am Hylia reborn, I am still my father's daughter, and your friend. I'm still your Zelda...’
That’s such a beautiful line of dialogue. It would have been nice to have seen cutscenes of Link and Zelda as children to really hammer the feels home. It would have been even more impactful if Zelda came to that realisation after some sort of internal struggle. It would have been great to see the two of them work through this together rather than constantly being separated by the plot.
I feel like Sky frequently took breaks from the quest in order to return to Skyloft, possibly justifies this with the excuse of keeping everyone posted- hence why everyone in game knows his business. He has low stamina and I’ve always seen it as just another result of his laziness. However, some in the fandom have headcanons that he has asthma (at least I think that’s the connection, please correct me if I’m wrong), which was an interpretation I hadn’t thought of before. I’m not going to go along assuming that in this post, because it undermines my gripes later on, but it is something I wanted to acknowledge.
Due to his low stamina, despite being the only one able to parkour (at least in human form, looking at you wolfie. In his case though wouldn’t it be...barkour?), he’s the least athletic. Being the worst at long distance running, swimming and climbing- long distance anything really. That being said, he can do some awesome parkour moves, such that during short term encounters he’s reliably fast and agile.
He is the book-smartest in all the chain, being the only one with a confirmed formal education (funny how the Link at the furthest point back in history is the most educated). I like to think he’s talented at math, with logic and numbers being easy for him to understand and use for problem solving. With geometry being his favourite topic.
However, he doesn’t pay much attention to his surroundings. The opposite of Time (veteran), Warrior (soldier boy), Twilight (nature boy), Legend (veteran) and Wild (survivalist) who are always 100% aware of their surroundings at all times.
It would be funny if he gets motion sick on boats, because it would’ve made the WW style small boating section in the Lanayru Desert a nightmare for him. And the rollercoaster section(s) too I’d imagine. I wonder what Fi would think seeing the legendary hero throw up breakfast while he sped around in the minecart.
...she’d probably just tell him to replace his batteries or something.
Where Twilight’s an elven Disney Princess, I think Sky wants to be as far away from cuddly animals as possible. Which is wonderfully illustrated whenever he holds Remlits. He always has them at arm’s-length and is even willing to yeet them off the island (it’s more of a gameplay thing, but the fact that the player even has the choice is quite interesting).
He has a cute habit of wildly gesturing when he explains stuff (which is relatable af because I do that), like in the cutscene he explained to Zelda’s father that a tornado kidnapped his daughter.
He a soft boi. He’s sweet, well mannered, polite and so you’d assume from the way he acts that’s he’s got just the biggest heart ever and is super caring and friendly. Although, I like to think that’s only partly true.
Yes he can be all those things, but that’s reserved for those closest to him. He values people as individuals sure, but doesn’t care too deeply about them. If he was having small talk with a stranger/acquaintance and they told him facts about themselves or stories, he’d mentally tune out of the conversation. This makes him forgetful of details people have told him. So, someone outside his orbit would have to keep repeating the same facts about themselves and their life to him. Which would make repeat encounters with him awkward and not very engaging.
Picture this: if he saw a stranger on the street crying, he’d either dither a bit before straight up ditching them or awkwardly offer them a hankie and a pat on the shoulder. If they tried to vent to him, he’d immediately retreat into his daydreams and just sit there not really listening. Even though he wasn’t paying attention, he’d still be sweet to them before leaving.
The idea of Sky having a lack of consideration for others, especially those who are unpleasant came from that side-quest where Link has the option to give Cawlin’s love letter to Karane or the creepy toilet hand. Given that the latter is arguably the more satisfying ending, I have to accept that as canon, therefore making Sky kind of an asshole....not that the rest of the chain are saints. Sky’s flaws are much more normal than say, Warrior’s fatal overconfidence that is powerful enough to manifest as an evil version of himself if he doesn’t keep it in check.
The two best conclusions to draw from this decision is either he really wanted the toilet hand to find love (although that’s still a dick move because it’s like saying that Cawlin would have no chance with Karane) or just preferred to help out his boy Pipit (tbh I don’t buy that they’re any more than acquaintances though).
Also yes, it is true that Link is exclusively kind and understanding with Groose his former bully. But (and just hear me out here) what that was only because he didn’t care about retaliating or getting even. He’s is on an epic quest, he doesn’t have time to settle the score with Groose, especially when he himself eventually makes himself useful. Being nice to him is just less mentally taxing. And don’t forget that Groose’s animosity stemmed from jealousy, and the player can enter Groose’s room and see a drawing of Link’s face on a punching back- plus the dude was never subtle. Link knew about all that which is why he doesn’t hold a grudge, plus I think he’s always liked him and wanted to be friends.
Sky can be very unforgiving and is capable of holding grudges that last a stupidly long time. That sort of hatred is reserved for the worst of the worst in his opinion, i.e Ghirahim and Demise (Bruh did you see some of the faces he pulled at them in game? There was 1000% malicious intent in those eyes).
Outside of being irredeemably evil, a couple of areas where you could incur his wrath include:
Mistreating the Master Sword: sure Fi was pushing him along the hero’s path, but she’s servant of Hylia and also just following orders, so there’s no need to hold a grudge. As shown in SS, they became good friends over the course of the adventure. Link genuinely likes her.
Badmouthing Hylia: he may not have agreed with everything she did or be too happy with finishing off her crusade... but as a citizen of Skyloft he’d have been a devoted worshipper like everyone else. Having it been drilled into him since he was little, because society be like that. Since he hardly suffered at all during his adventure and arguably did almost everything perfectly, he’d have no reason to stop worshipping her.
Over the course of SS Link does prove himself and becomes a true hero, growing his soul after the Silent Realm Trials (he’s had nightmares about those since and you can’t tell me otherwise) and tempering the Goddess Sword into the Master Sword. I feel like this act severed Hylia’s connection to the sword, giving true ownership over to her hero’s successors. Now the blade draws its strength from the hero’s spirit not the Goddess’ power.
At the end of the journey Link finally fights Demise, and after a hard fought battle (in which the lightning coming from the storm clouds scars his right arm and torso- love those lightning scar headcanons, super creative!) he prevails and ends the Demon King once and avenging the hero before him. Or so he wrongly believes. With his dying breath, Demise curses Link to reincarnate with him in an endless bloody cycle for the rest of eternity.
The fact that the game and Link both sweep the whole curse thing under the rug is jarring to say the least.
To be fair, Skyward Sword’s ending by itself is absolutely adorable...so long as you forget the rest of the franchise exits. Including that context makes this ending bafflingly lighthearted given that it’s the beginning of Hyrule’s cyclical history of suffering and conquest written in blood.
It really comes off as tone deaf to me. The characters, who are completely unaware of the hell that will plague their newly formed kingdom in the centuries to come, understandably feel at peace. But the player and therefore Link should not.
I feel like a bittersweet send off would have been better, a sort of ‘we’ve done what we can and can live in peace, but we need to protect those who come after us’ kind of vibe. Maybe have a post credit scene where Link is telling Zelda all about the epic battle with Demise (the oblivious adolescent dork acting out the whole fight in all his cute hand gesturing glory, with the Kikwis as backup actors), but when he offhandedly mentions the curse her smiling face suddenly hardens.
She tentatively asks him to explain exactly what Demise said and Link does to the best of his memory, but stops part way when he realises that Zelda is now frowning. Voice low and shaking she begins to put together the true meaning of those words, but a defensive Link assures her that it wasn’t a big deal. Maybe he’s so adamant to dismiss it because Fi assured him that it was indeed over (but now he can’t call on her anymore to verify what she meant), but a small part of him trusts Zelda’s judgement and starts to worry. This turns into a fight that neither side end up winning.
It could get really petty. Zelda chastises Link for not finishing the job and he says that her paranoia is the result of Hylia’s influence- which would really sting if they had spent the adventure working through Zelda’s identity together.
The issue is never properly resolved because both don’t have a clear-cut answer, and it starts to eat away at the back of both their minds. To ease her worries (and maybe his own regrets), he advices that they write down the possibility of Demise’s return as a prophecy for future generations. This prophecy is passed down what will become Royal Family in secret until Demise inevitably does show up further down the timeline. Now in his new and improved form: Ganon.
I don’t believe that Sky would be all that into rebuilding civilisation on the surface immediately after saving the world. He’d want life to return to normal and go back to being a regular Skyloftian knight. I can appreciate Sun wanting to take some time off to heal and recover, but soon she’d want to go about establishing relations with the surface tribes and moving the humans back down. Link would go along to protect her and because it would make her happy, but his heart wouldn’t be as in it as hers. And as shown at the beginning of the game I feel like she’d still have to nag him to get stuff done.
Groose would be the goat though, he’d be all for building new inventions for the settlement of humanity and exploring the surface. Man, what a fantastic character.
...
To conclude because I realise that this essay was kind of a mess, I tried to do what I could with Link’s character but the game simultaneously gives me too much and too little to work with. I see him as a soft and gentle spirit, but to the point of being idle. Since he’s crazy talented at a bunch of things, he’s spent his life coasting by on those talents without needing to try. Unlike the others his quest goes perfectly, or at least he doesn’t screw up in any meaningful way and Demise’s curse doesn’t impact him at all. How the fandom can paint him as this near perfect cinnamon roll, I have no idea. Like, he’s cute and a dork, but also kind of a jerk.
For the record, despite my criticisms I do like Skyward Sword and I think the story has a lot of potential. I also just really love Groose, maybe I’ll do an analysis of his arc in the future.
~~~
Thanks for reading!
This is all my opinion, feel free to disagree but pls don’t take what I say too seriously. It’s supposed to be a bit of fun for me.

guess fucking what? my inbox is so fucking full right now i'm unloading all of this shit in one post.
For the 11th gotham memes: gothamites react to bruce being jacked in a tiktok he made with kids, like super yoked, ripped as hell
fucking hilarious thanks. i think i did it in one meme post, but i genuinely don't remember which one
i dunno which of the batfam would do this but one time i was sleeping over at a friends house and ended up on the floor bc the bed was so very small and i just stayed there because the rug was soft
that's a drunk jason move i don't know what to tell you
tim and jason are "i listen to pop punk" solidarity. whenever jason highjacks the batmobile theyll go on long ass car rides blaring mcr and paramore and then never talk about it again
as they should!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tim: no jason it's my turn using the aux cord i gotta put on my jams jason: don't you dare put on weird shit tim: don't worry, you're gonna love this *plays fearless (taylor's version)
hear me out hear me out, red hood stans 🤝 nightwing stans t h i g h s
holy shit yes.
SNL au: Bruce breaks character when pretending to superman and says something like "I'm not superman! You've seen his gps!! It's from 2001!!!" @sabeanybabe
superman flies past the snl building the next day just to say 'actually it's from 2005, i'm not a heathen'
does your back hurt from carrying the batfam fandom
it hurts more from the exotic rock collection i keep in my backpack, but thanks for the concern.
I love your posts by why would you always leave the best parts in the tags?
as a treat for the people that check the tags ;) (and also because i'm committed to the short post aesthetic)
somehow your playlist was everything i never knew i needed. i mean it. this is my new favorite playlist.
and don't you dare get a new favourite playlist!
babe ur stoner tim playlist is exactly too perfect, earth is literally blessed by ur existence
babe thanks so much! i love my stoner tim playlist because it's just my usual playlist but people think it's an artistic choice that i put taylor swift and britney spears in there, when it's just what i unironically like listening to
JANDKSKDK BILLY RAY CYRUS ON THE STONER TIM PLAYLIST I LOVE IT IT
again it's not even an ironic choice, i know every single word and i genuinely like the song
The last chapter of Fundamentals of Casework has me crying at work. Thanks I love it @dudelookitsalesbian
oh babe, i'm sorry, but also, not sorry i love chapter 4 so much it's my lovechild with the 'mental illness' tag
soooo....stumbled on your tumblr by some stroke of fate??? read your DC fanfic first. which is PHENOMENAL btw. then found all the batmemes; the funniest thing EVER bc everyone forgets about regular old gothamites. kept scrolling and your blog pops up as recommended. clicked on the ao3 for shits and giggles and waddaya know?!?!? it's YOU!!! you're LEGEND!!!! ever seen that meme? it's a video of a cat that got into a baseball field and the two announcers get really invested in his escape attempt and start giving a play by play of the cat instead of the game. memeable moment: "GREAT stuff from the Cat!!!"
i seriously think about this ask every single day and it's so fucking funny to me that i've never seen the meme you're referencing, but i still find myself going 'GREAT stuff from the Cat!!!' whenever i see something funny. but wow i'm glad you liked this steaming pile of garbage
Fav dc character overall? And fav batfamily character?
don't ask me to pick between the loves of my life, but i can tell you i've cried about every single batfamily member and also wally west (my beloved)
What's your opinion on fans having a problem with batfam being "too big"? And some even claim that batfam is just "Bruce Alfred Dick Damian" and the rest of them are just "friends and allies" (source: reddit) Personally, I like batfam because of this reason but idk
stupid. a family can never be too big. i'm not that big a fan of like huge batfam stuff with everybody from every single universe, because as much as it's funny for bruce to have like 30 kids, it just feels a little too OOC for me.
This is the best tag I've seen involving the batfam, thanks for thinking of it
Tumblr media
This is canon now @nctxrejects
lmao yeah i think at that point alfred has had to sit through like at least a dozen coming out talks and just has a pride flag collection in the attic that he pulls out whenever a kid comes out
idk why batfam hits different as compared to any other superhero family
bc it's found family and usually the other superhero families are almost all genetically related in one way or another
I don't know if you watch the umbrella academy but I saw your last post about batcest and saw the similarities. But the thing is (although I think it's weird) in TUA, they addressed it by saying "they were raised as weapons, not siblings" or something along those lines, which is simply not the case with batfam.
yeah i watched tua but i also thought it was ridiculous and they still treated each other as siblings so i didn't like the luthor/allison thing, and am glad they stopped doing that shit bc it fucking sucked.
Hot take: Batcest shippers are the same people who believe adopted siblings are not actual siblings
smoking hot take: batcest shippers are the people who watch 'my sister got stuck in the washing machine' porn
Duke was adopted by Bruce?
not technically no, but do i, tumblr user batarangsoundsdumb, look like i care?
True story but I had to change my freaking name because it used to be "Damien" and most people would go "OH LIKE DAMIAN WAYNE" like please I'm just tryna live
true story, but i don't actually think of damian when i hear the name damian, literally the first thing that pops up is damian darkh like bruh what?
apparently dc comics company supported comic stores by giving out new titles and stuff during the beginning of the pandemic to help them run and I just think that's wholesome
ah yeah that's so fucking cool, still don't like dc, the company, because this world is a capitalist hellhole and we're all owned by warner brothers or disney with no in between.
ayo looking at tumblr head canons and finding out bruce is actually a terrible father is a punch in the gut
lmao yes, in like 50% of comics bruce is a terrible father and it gives me whiplash
oooh I just saw the jason todd vs winter soldier post and the real question is: batman vs iron man
while iron man has like hundreds of cases of armor, batman could throw out an emp and have the guy dropping out of the sky in 2 seconds.
dickfast = fastdick = quickdick = quickie
magnum hot take
hey bata(?) just thought I'd let you know I have copied the obnoxious emoji and Billy Ray post for use on simping men going forth
thank you 😘🌷 (@spacebarsidecar)
why would you do that to your followers???? i get why i did it, but why would you???
what is scarecrow made the nightwing funko pop himself, like those diy-ers that paint over other ones
oh god no, horrible take, horrible take, that's a disgusting thought oh no
I see your HC that Bruce and Oliver fucked and raise you this: Dick and Roy ALSO fucked
yes they did and it was a horrible moment for jason to find out dick has fucked both of his best friends
"at this rate bruce adds like 1 child to his family every decade or so" Duke is introduced in 2013, Damian as Damian, not as an unnamed child, in 2006. And he is already 14 years old, Robins rarely remain Robins after 16 😬 It looks like a new Robin and Batkid will appear in a couple of years
i mean i can't wait? but somebody will probably die first tho, we're due for another major character death. my money's on either cass or duke this time.
BRO you're so right all of your Bruce's ex headcanons are amazing but they aren't ships, that's kinda wild. Like I don't want any peeks into how their relationship was I just want to see everyone make fun of them
lmao YES it's just i love bruce being a slut, like good for him.
I am in love with your posts your honour thank you
omg thanks are we like,, gonna kiss now?
The justice league needs to have a meeting to discuss how many of their members/partners have slept with bruce. Because through a combination of cannon & fannon (if DC wasn’t homophobic) we have AT LEAST: 1) clark 2) lois 3) oliver 4) dinah 5) john
Thats not counting villains or random civilians @dudelookitsalesbian
yes yes yes, they'll have a yearly meeting about how many of their collective exes could be out for revenge and batman's list just keeps getting longer.
tim was like "i'm drake now" and everyone was like ahh so your fursona is a dragon and tim was like pffffft no. ducks.
and what about it?
when steph's fighting livewire and she zaps her with lighting and nothing happens and then they both just. stand there awkwardly for a second and talk. yeah i couldn't stop laughing at that batgirl steph is the BEST
oh yeah that was fucking hilarious and i think it would be so cool and sexy of dc to give steph a little comic series,,, as a treat
Hi I absolutely adore all of yours "Bruce and Oliver very badly pretending they didn't fuck each other" memes
lmao i do too
I need you to know that “Bruce Wayne had frosted tips” is one of my favorite Bruce takes of all time it’s so galaxy brained. you’re right and you should say it
he also painted his hair blonde once when he was travelling and in conclusion, this is why he's being blackmailed by the gotham gazette.
you know my thing about gordon being branded as the only good cop in gotham is its a load of shit like arguably he's a good person and not working to screw people over or anything but the fact that he also works w. batman makes him a shit cop. like yea batman is better than the mob but its still illegal its still an abuse of power he just not making bank
babe, all cops are bad cops. (but yeah youre absolutely right, working with vigilantes makes you a shit cop, but also working against vigilantes just makes you an asshole cop yanno?)
ruh roh i think i’m about to add “so not yeehaw” every time i don’t like something
that's a very good vocabulary upgrade
somehow i feel like steph already knew. like babs obviously knew but i feel like bruce got high/drunk in front of steph and started telling his boarding school stories and steph was just like “oh you fucked up i’m never gonna forget this”
steph and bruce have weird uncle/rebellious niece dynamic and they just hang out sometimes and bruce will be like 'i once broke my arm when i tripped over a hedge when i was drunk so oliver drove me to the hospital on an electric scooter' and steph will just have to sit there with that knowledge in her head.
Hello I just wanted to tell you you are So right in all your steph opinions bc she is, in fact amazing and I think that's very sexy of you. Ps. Your Bruce/Oliver fic is hilarious
babe, thank you so much and yes steph is amazing and i love her and she deserves the world and she's the best member of the batfam hands down. also thanks
In Supersons we see a couple of kids that are implied to be Damian and Jon's children and the boy has laser eyes and can fly, so I asume he's not adopted. The girl, who calls Bruce grandpa, can also fly, btw. So it's canon (probably by accident) that Jon can have kids and he must have married one of Bruce's kids. (I'm hoping for Damian, mostly because any other of his children would be waaaaaaaaaaaaay too old.) @artemisa97
lmao that was probably an accident seeing as jon is a 17 year old superhero in the year 3000 (by the jonas brothers)
You know, I'm a die hard fan of your memes, but I gotta say one thing: if Gothamites actually took gas mask everywhere with them, then the Scarecrow would just be a weird dude in a weird costume, and not a villain oh so scary. DC really should just takes notes from you.
bold of you to assume there's no gothamite anti-maskers
How does it feel being the funniest person on this app?
horrible, next question.
I can't listen to Green Day or Billy Joel without thinking of your post about how Bruce got arrested at a Billy Joel concert @nightwings-kid
yeah that's your mistake, i on the other hand can't enjoy billy joel without thinking about the glee rendition of 'uptown girl'
I've FINALLY been watching the Batman animated series and I gotta say, after watching "the gray ghost" I am CONVINCED that Batman is a closeted super hero geek who was 100% freaking out the first time he met Superman and is just REALLY good at hiding it.
superman: so what do you do in your free time? batman, thinking about the superman fanfiction he's writing on the batcomputer: i have no free time
bruce and oliver be like boyfriends to co-workers 401k (do the justice leagues get 401ks??? not that bruce and ollie would need them, but-)
lmao yes just 400 thousand words of bruce realising 'oh dip oliver is such a fucking dumbass' (also i don't know what a 401 k is but i assume they don't?)
Gothamites would totally boo superman as he saves Gotham while batman is out. @meenje
he's like 'okay think about that next time you want to be saved from an alien octopus'
I just took long break from dc comics and I come back to see ric grayson ??
i think it's very cool and sexy of dc to see dick and just think 'you know what? let's just give him a traumatic brain injury' and then didn't develop his character in any real way
SPEAKING OF RIC GRAYSON, gothamites making confused memes out of ric grayson is much needed
'dick grayson is my taxi driver? can anyone explain what the fuck happened he looks like an italian plumber?'
i hate to say it but batfam are def "marvel characters" in that sense they are characters who are human but become superheroes unlike most dc characters who are gods trying to be human maybe this is why I like batfam
fair enough

Note
I feel like it also heavily depends on what chara you running for elden ring. Like I'm going full int noodle arms and I basically tri shot most bossed, sometimes they just bug and give up and state at me un movingly while I spam the only 1 usable sorcery in the game.
Some bosses yea are just continuous spam of attack and u just go guess I'll die. Or fucking crucible knights type enemies that just keep their shit shield up forever then stab you real quick before putting the shield back up and I'm here like 8D
Btw yea the death debuff doesn't curse you just... Insta kills you like ds3.
anon this is gonna be a LONG response cause you just gave me a valid reason to ramble for 50 paragraphs so i will
i currently work with a str/fai build and will probably make at least 1 more character with a dex/int build. i had no idea full int builds were so stronk but im thinking of trying one out at some point.
Srs analysis below:
Honestly I'm just a little sad with the state of enemy encounters in the game. Limgrave, weeping peninsula & liurnia largely have the same enemy encounters in the open world with very little variation, and a Lot of the mobs I've encountered up till now rely on being in a group or homing attacks.
Find a soldier in the wild? He blows his horn and gets his buddies. Find a dog or rat? It barks to alert everyone around, which I'm honestly less likely to care about because while theyve been around since demons souls. Those misbegotten cunts see you and blow their horn and every single one of them comes running. That room in Godricks castle with that one exile soldier who blows his horn and then all the sleepy dudes stand up. The courtyard where theyre all heaped up Even the fucking bears in those woods Walk around in liurnia only for some weird bent over dude to appear and spawn 10 more and they all use homing missiles as well The cartwheeling frogs Those dudes in the academy courtyard where its like oh theres one blue guy just kidding theres 15 now
And now I've entered Caelid and theres these amazingly cool looking big dog enemies and all they do is fucking bark and alert the rest again oh and also theres soldiers again I guess. And the frustrating thing is that, aside from the runebears, pretty much all of the above enemies are complete pushovers on their own. I don't feel like I'm fighting enemies with interesting attack patterns or who pose a serious threat, I feel like I'm in that one room in pokemon gold/silver/crystal where every line you cross spawns 3 incredibly weak rocket trainers.
I get that this is necessary when you include spirit summons in the game but I'd rather they just balanced it a little bit? The mechanics arent bad on their own it's just that I really don't like how many of the fights seem to rely on it. It's like almost every fight relies on everything but making the enemies interesting to fight in order to make them hard.
Rather than making the casters have more health & more interesting moves, just sticking 5 of them in a small hallway so you get to avoid 5 missiles at once should make them hard. Boss fight being 2 enemies that die way too quickly? Add dragon rot to the floor! The dog and bird enemies twice your size die in 4 hits? Just make them alert the rest! Stick a big knight with the same moveset as all the other ones in a small corridor to make him hard!
Maybe it's because they made the more interesting enemies all field bosses but to me it just feels like their actual non-field boss enemy pool is super boring because of that. The erdtree avatar doesn't need to be a field boss. The bell bearing hunter doesn't need to be either, though he does need to be tuned down. Grafted Scion? Seriously? Why are some of the pumpkin heads bosses? The mariner guys, too.
Siofria was the first New new area i encountered I feel and its like. theres a million rock men and you're like "oh shit I wonder what these do" and the answer is jack shit. Theyre only hard because theres 20 of them on one staircase. Then you go out and those snipers 2 shot you from a million miles away with their homing arrows that are literally impossible to dodge.
I'm only at caelid but it feels like there's no difficulty progression in the enemies. Everything is either a pushover or two taps you, there is no inbetween. I'm sure the other big non-optional bosses are gonna be good. Godrick was amazing but following it up with rennala after all I listed above just left a sour taste in my mouth cause her boss fight is just...unfun imo

HameFura LN5 - A Lady for Nicol (theory)
Tumblr media
While we all love all the harem members for Katarina, but in the end she’s just one person and only one person can reign as the victor of her heart.
One of my most favorite theories/observations that came from the bakarina reddit discord is the importance of the “Lady” from Light Novel Volume 5, who was the main character alongside Nicol is their chapter in that book. The lady isn’t given a name or a physical description in her chapter which could indicate that her role is merely that of a plot device in order to prevent Nicol from giving up on Katarina’s hand. Her constant support and encouragement of Nicol’s feelings is what encourages him to continue pursuing her despite already graduating in the academy by Volume 5, cementing Nicol’s place in the harem, and yet for some people this chapter implied something else; feeling like this lady will be a contender for Nicol’s end-game love interest once Katarina chooses.
A few users on the discord pointed out how wonderful it would be for Nicol to end up with this Lady, given how strong and admirable her personality was build up to despite only appearing for a single chapter. She’s smart, honest, independent and can carry a conversation; which is a lot of traits that Nicol seems to like in a partner.
It is possible that this Lady will never be named and become her own character (unless the Second Season of the anime adapts his chapter and introduces her to everyone as a filler scene), but it is still possible for her to return as a future candidate for Nicol’s partner as the series eliminates the competition for Katarina’s heart.
Despite all this though, who could really say that we don’t know this character yet?
I propose that as of Volume 9 (the most recent JP release of the novels), we already know who the Lady from Volume 5 is!
It’s all just a matter of observation/elimination!
Spoilers for the light novels and a lil bit from the webnovel!
Edit (2/13/21): I added a lil more!
I believe that the identity of the Lady that Nicol met during his matchmaking meetings is none other than Fray Randall, the student council president of the Magic Academy in Volume 6.
Quick note, J-Novels translated Fray’s name to “Fray Landoor”, but its supposed to be Fray Randall. I mean without even pulling out the kanji for Fray’s surname, you read it out loud ‘Landoor’ as “Ran-do-ru” in japanese, in the same way you’d read ‘Randall”. Regardless if you pull out a raw version of the novels or google translate both surnames, you get the same characters of “ランドール“, proving that Fray is from the Marquis of Randall. The connection is even more undeniable considering the fact that Fray is described as a girl with black hair and blue eyes in LN6, just like Suzanna.
Part 1 - Fray and the Lady
First, lets establish what we know about the Lady:
She is from a high ranking family
She is a member of the Student Council in Katarina’s final year in the Academy (an underclassman that is close with Katarina)
She gives an allusive, strong and resilient impression
She is very intelligent, talented and has a high magical aptitude (evident in the fact that she is in the Student Council)
She is very curious and perceptive about other people
She admires Lana Smith (Suzanna Randall)
She is very supportive of Nicol’s feelings for Katarina
She has no intention of marrying and wants to work independently in the Magic Ministry
She is the 5th and last candidate for Nicol’s fiancee
Before going to Fray, I just want to establish something for those who do not know: Light Novel Volume 6 isn’t the first time we’ve seen Fray. She, as well as her best friend Ginger, are already well established characters even before the Volume 5 was published, because those two characters comes from an extra web novel chapter that was not adapted into the first arc (the first two books) of the novels. The extra chapter is called “About the Duke’s Daughter” which tells the tale of Ginger Tucker’s experience of meeting Katarina. The chapter itself doesn’t introduce anything new about Fray, other than the fact that the Randalls are a Marquis Family, but the chapter will come up again later.
Now, lets establish what we know about Fray Randall:
She is from the Marquis of Randall, a high ranking family
She is the next president of the Student Council in Katarina’s final year in the Academy (an underclassman that is close with Katarina)
She is well-mannered, polite and charming
She is very intelligent, talented and has a high magical aptitude (evident in the fact that she is in the Student Council)
She is quite perceptive when it comes to the feelings of her tsundere friend Ginger
She is most likely related to Suzanna Randall (as they share the same last name; either sisters or cousins)
She is very supportive of Ginger’s feelings for Katarina
I probably don’t need to make a chart to emphasize the similarities of these two characters (but i’ll still compare anyways). I know not everything lines up, especially when it comes to their personality. We haven’t seen too much of Fray to write a perfectly accurate description of her, all we know is that she behaves like a perfect noblewoman in front of others but is also quite cheeky when it comes to teasing her friend Ginger about her admiration for their Katarina-senpai.
That isn’t to say that there are no other similarities between them! Nicol has noted a few times how smart sounding and well-mannered the lady is, which while does apply to most ladies, it should still be considered. Both Fray and the Lady have perfect etiquette, but has a more energetic and outspoken personality. The Lady reminds me a lot of Suzanna Randall, and that comparison makes me feel like the Lady could be Fray, because of how likely it is that Suzanna’s little sister/cousin could be as brazen and independent as she is.
Both Fray and the Lady are open minded people. the Lady does not care about the existing culture of high society and wants to act independently. Fray does not care about the culture of high society and accepts Ginger despite her normal appearance and low status.
Both Fray and the Lady as very supportive of another’s characters feelings for Katarina, aka Ginger and Nicol respectively. Both characters insisted that their friends accept their feelings of love/admiration, and to act on them. Anyone who has seen either the web novel chapter knows that Fray and Ginger are very close to Katarina and the harem, which is important because the Lady specifically got all the tea about Nicol liking Katarina from Sophia.
Both Fray and the Lady are from high ranking families. Specifically, Fray is a Marchioness, which is a rank higher than Nicol.
Speaking of the Marquis of Randalls, the Lady has voiced her admiration about her idol:  a woman who works for the Magic Ministry but isn’t of a high ranking family. She is most likely talking about Lana Smith (aka Suzanna’s alter ego). The Lady mentions that her family highly opposes her desires to work in the Ministry and insists that she marries instead.
Suzanna in Volume 3 and 4 implies the same things: despite her desires to study magic, she is forced by her parents to attend matchmaking events in order to find a fiancée (which ended up becoming Geoffrey) and it is not hard to surmise that her family is one of the reasons she hides her identity in the Ministry. If Fray is from the same family, then she will most likely be receiving the same treatment.
We cannot say whether of not the Lady admiring Lana Smith is an indication that she knows who Lana is. There is the possibility that the Lady admires Lana but isn’t aware of her identity at all, but there’s also the possibility that the Lady does know who Lana is and gave Lana’s fake story as to not blow her cover. If the Lady really is Fray, then both sides of the theory can do wonders for her character.
Both Fray and the Lady are smart and magically-talented, as you can tell by the fact that they are both in the Student Council. In fact, Fray is so smart and talented that she will eventually succeed Gerald as President in the Magic Academy! Doesn’t that remind anybody of a certain Randall who is also a prodigy?
Part 2 - Katarina’s Underclassmen in the Student Council
Speaking of the Student Council, one of my key arguments as to why I think Fray Randall is Nicol’s Lady from Volume 5 is because of the web novel chapter “About the Duke’s Daughter” featuring Ginger. In the light novels, Fray was introduced in Volume 6 while the Lady is introduced in Volume 5. Since the web novel chapter was never published, LN6 is the new introductions of Fray and Ginger.
In the anime and light novels, it is identified that in Sirius and Nicol’s batch, there were 7 members of the student council (Sirius, Nicol, Girl 1, Girl 2, Boy 1, Boy 2 and Boy 3), and in Katarina’s batch there is 6 student council members (Gerald, Keith, Alan, Mary, Sophia and Maria). With that we can assume that their is typically 6-7 new freshmens to join the student council every year (push it to 6-8 if you want but I’m going with 7)
Tumblr media
First draft of my fan designs for Ginger Tucker and Fray Randall btw :DD
I made Fray look too sweet in this doodle, she’s a sass-pants I swear!
Like I already said before, both Fray and the Lady are members of the student council, who are close to Katarina. Knowing only the light novels, one might assume that it is impossible to determine how many members Fray and Ginger’s batch of council freshmens are, but in reality its pretty easy.
I’m not going to say that out of the freshmens, Katarina is only close to Fray and Ginger, since they are the only ones to show up in Volume 6, but I will agree that it is likely. If we go by the estimates of 6-8 council members per batch, we’ll go in the middle and say that Ginger’s batch has 7 student council members as Katarina is in her final year.
In the web novel chapter “About the Duke’s Daughter”, there is a scene where Ginger is being bad mouthed by 3 of her female peers in the student council room. Here’s the scene from the web novel chapter (in Ginger’s POV):
There was something I didn't understand in class that day so after visiting the teacher, I went to the student council room and arrived later than usual. Then some of the same classmates, who were members of the student council seemed to be ahead, and I heard voices talking from inside.
'What's with her attitude! I'm so angry at her, that Ginger Tucker." "Indeed! What can we even do about her?" "Being so prideful just because she's a little smart"
 I unintentionally pulled my hand from the door handle. This is a scene I can't enter.
So it can't be helped. It was then that I thought I should wait a little before entering.
"I don't think Ginger is like that at all"
Perhaps she was there the entire time, as now a voice of a third-party spoke in between their angry voices.
 "K-Katarina-sama? Were you here this entire time?" In a surprised voice, it turns out the those girls were not aware of Katarina's presence.
With this we can identify 5 out of 7 of the student council members, with the final two we can assume that they are either two guys or one guy and one girl (but its most likely the prior.
We would have <Ginger, Fray, Girl 1, Girl 2, Girl 3, Boy 1 and Boy 2>.
But that begs the question, who is the Lady? Is there only 1 male student in the freshmen batch of the student council, with the Lady filling that last spot, or is the Lady among the 5 girls we’ve established? Or are there 8 student council members instead? I don’t need to answer my own questions, you do the math :))
Of course there’s the possibility that the author is disregarding this webnovel chapter and creates a new freshmen batch from scratch, but while The Lady nor Fray has yet to be adapted into the manga and anime, i’ll take this as a win for me.
Edit (2/13/21): A thought just occurred to me while reading the japanese wiki!
Ginger, in the webnovel chapter, has made it perfectly clear that she wants to join the Ministry to become independent. The “Lady”, in Volume 5, has made it perfectly clear that she wants to join the Ministry to be like her idol, Lana Smith (Suzanna Randall).
With that in mind, doesn’t that increase the chances of the “Lady” being Fray Randall?? because the two best friends want to eventually join the Ministry and join their senpais and idols??? it wouldn’t make sense if it was Ginger and another character from the student council third batch that we don’t know of!
Anyways, that's it for this hamefura theory. I might edit this if there's new information to come around. With the announcement of the Second Season, there’s a very high possibility that this chapter will be adapted as filler. It is possible that we will meet this lady, or maybe even Fray, whichever comes first.
The Lady most likely is just the plot device though, but we do what we can with what we have lol.
Regardless if this theory is correct or not, I think I made a pretty strong case! Thank you for reading!

Hiya! Do you have some time for a Zsaszmask with their son?(yes, yes, it becomes my guilty pleasure) when Andrew went for a date with his lover. As overprotective parents, they followed him to see what's going on? And guess what, Harley is in the area too to piss them off? Some humor and fluff would be nice. Thanks in advance and have a nice day (P.S: I prepare a little something for you!)
Don't You Trust Me? | Roman Sionis x Victor Zsasz | ZsaszMask
Hey! I've always got time for these, because ngl, I'm pretty invested in this AU too, now. <3 I really hope you enjoy this! :) (P.S.: You are??? That's so sweet, aw, thank you! Can't wait. <3)
summary; see above.
notes; Swearing; Domestic; Kid Fic; Spying on their kid; Overprotective Parents; tiny bit of angst because Roman being Roman, I guess. (Andrew's partner is non-binary, btw. <3)
“Okay, I’m going then, dads. See you later, love you!” Andrew called to his dads from the door.
“Don’t stay out too late, Andrew!” Roman yelled back and got a muffled “I won’t” back, after which he heard the door fall shut.
Sionis stood next to his partner for a moment, frowning. Then he suddenly clasped Victor’s shoulder with such force that it actually startled Zsasz a little, “C’mon, Victor! We’ve got to follow him. Fuck knows what kind of person he is meeting with,” Roman proclaimed, looking determined as ever.
“Uh, no offence, boss, but he’s eighteen. I don’t think we should be following him, right?” Victor responded, looking at Roman.
“What? Of course we need to follow him! It doesn’t fucking matter how old he is. No son of mine meets up with someone I don’t know without supervision.”
“Haven’t you been unsupervised all the time when you went out as a teen?”
“Because my parents didn’t care, Zsasz,” he looked at him incredulously over the rim of his sunglasses, “But we’re caring parents, ‘kay?”
“Yeah, but I doubt my parents would’ve followed me on a date when I was eighteen and they cared, too,” Victor muttered.
“It’s the right thing to do, I know it. So come on! Do you remember where he said he’d go?”
After Victor nodded to affirm that, yes, he remembered that, Roman practically just shoved him out the door, so they could get in the Rolls Royce downstairs in record time. Honestly, Zsasz was still taken by surprise more often than not to find that Roman was the overprotective kind of parent. Not that he was much different; he just tried not to show it too much. He also tried to remind Sionis to do the same, because it’d be more dangerous if people knew that he truly cared so much about their son, but of course his partner disregarded that – although Victor guessed it wasn’t intentional.
“Do you know anything about this person he’s meeting? Because he told me absolutely fucking nothing,” Roman groused, and yeah, it was fair, he hated being left out on anything.
“Well, their name’s Cassidy, they’re nineteen, just started going to Gotham Academy, and Andy met them on the internet first. This would be the first time they actually meet each other as far as I know,” Zsasz responded dutifully.
He was able to really see the different emotions cross Roman’s face as he talked; first a raised eyebrow and an intrigued look; then an impressed nod; and then anger and anxiety, which he now displayed to their fullest. In a way, Victor could understand it, he too felt anxious over Andy meeting up with some rando from the internet, but he trusted him. Didn’t mean he had to be a fan of all this either.
“Has Andy told you those things?” Roman hissed, and for a moment, Victor really didn’t know if he should lie or not.
“Yeah,” he replied, deciding not to lie. It was no use, Sionis would have found out anyway, and then he’d have to deal with the inferno that was his rage and he really didn’t like it aimed at him.
“Fucking fuck!” Roman yelled, clenching his hands into tight fists, the leather squeaking a little, “Why doesn’t he tell me these things, Victor?”
He could only shrug, he didn’t know. Sometimes Andy just didn’t tell him things, and Victor guessed that was just how teens were. He couldn’t remember how he was back then if he was honest.
Roman scoffed, crossed his arms angrily and stayed silent until they’ve arrived near the café Andy would meet up with Cassidy. A public place was always good for such things, although still dangerous – especially in Gotham.
They parked a few streets away in an alleyway, where they’d leave the car and driver and then stay around the café to watch over their son. It was pretty straight-forward.
Across the street from the coffeehouse was an expensive clothes store, which they went into to stay hidden and still be able to see Andrew. As they stood near the shop window, Zsasz was the first to spot Andy sitting outside at one of the small coffee tables, smiling at his phone and looking around, every couple of minutes, respectively.
“Cassidy is late?” Roman asked quietly, looking at Andrew, while he was acting as though he was looking at the blazers they stood in front of.
“Hm, no, Andy’s just early,” Victor replied, a slight smile on his lips.
After a couple of minutes, someone came to stand in front of Andrew and he jumped up immediately, wrapping his arms around them. Must have been Cassidy then. Looking at them like this, Victor wasn’t sure this really was the first time they’ve met, but what the hell did he know anyway?
And then they kissed.
Zsasz could hear Roman’s teeth clank as his mouth snapped shut in an instant. Sure enough, when he looked over to him, he was clenching his jaw, an icy, piercing glare fixed at their son’s- date? Partner? Huh.
“Didn’t you say they met for the first time today?” Sionis asked through clenched teeth.
“That’s what he told me.”
“Does that fucking look like a first meeting?” Roman yelled, causing some people to turn around to look at them in shock – although they averted their gazes very quickly again, after noticing who they were.
“Not really, I’d say, no.”
“How can you be so fucking calm, what the fuck, Victor? What the fuck is wrong with you?”
Zsasz shrugged, “You know how teens are, keeping their first relationship secret for a while and all.”
“I had reason to do that! He doesn’t!”
“Okay, hey, it’s alright. We’ll talk to him later, alright?” Victor tried to get Roman to calm down a little, putting his hands on his shoulders and looking him in the eyes intensely.
Sionis inhaled sharply, taking a few deep breaths and coming back down a little, “Yeah- Yes, ‘kay. We’ll talk to him later. Fine.”
Before Zsasz could say anything else reassuring, an obnoxiously loud, shrill, accented voice rang through the store, “Romy Baby!”
That Harley-Bitch. Great,that was what they both needed now.
Victor could swear that behind his sunglasses, Roman’s eye was twitching because of how irritated he was. And really, he couldn’t blame his partner one bit – he, too, was fucking annoyed by her mere presence.
“Miss Quinn, what a coincidence to meet you here. Right now, no less,” Roman said, his voice strained, just like the all too polite smile on his face. Zsasz hated that Harley caused him to hide like this.
“Well, I was just in the area and saw you through the window! ‘Course I had to come and say Hi, Romy! Oh, and see, Andy Baby is just across the street, too!”
“Which is entirely unrelated, of course.”
“Sure, sure! Is he on a date?” she gasped, “Oh, I should go say Hi to them as well! Maybe I should tell him that his two dads are spying on him. What do you say, Romy?”
“Don’t you fucking dare tell him that, Harley! He’s my son. I’m allowed to look after him.”
“Hmmm, I don’t know. It’s kinda weird of parents to do that. He’s eighteen, baby, let him do his thing in peace, huh? It can fuck’em up pretty bad if you don’t give’em their space, y’know?”
“I am! I fucking am!” Roman was stomping his foot on the ground as he yelled that and in all this time, Victor’s never seen him do that.
Harley just shrugged, waved at them and skipped out of the store and across the street within the blink of an eye, it seemed. Fuck.
Roman was in shock, looking at her going up to Andy, and Victor couldn’t say that he was any less shocked.
“That fucking crazy bitch!” his boss hissed quietly and stalked out of the store, too, Victor coming after him dutifully.
Zsasz felt such deep hatred for this bitch then and there, when they crossed the street and she wasn’t to be seen anywhere. And when they looked over to Andrew, he was looking right back at them. Shit. She set them up.
“Dads?” Andy called for them, frowning.
“Fuck,” they both muttered in unison and walked over.
“Hey, baby, we were just-,” Roman started, but Andrew interrupted him.
“Following me?”
“Well- We were just concerned. Not knowing who you were going to meet and all,” his partner defended himself, and fuck, Victor’s not seen him this- flustered, really, in, well, ever.
“Right. Uh, sorry, anyway. Cassidy, those are my dads. Dads, this is Cassidy, my- uh, partner,” Andy introduced them all to each other, red in the face and shrinking in on himself towards the end, getting increasingly more quiet with each word.
“Nice to meet you both, sirs,” Cassidy said, smiling gently.
“Pleasure’s all ours,” Roman smiled politely, putting on his faked friendly, diplomatic mask in an instant.
“Nice to meet you, too,” Victor just mumbled.
Then they stood there. Roman was staring holes into Andy’s date and Zsasz debated with himself if he shouldn’t just grab him and drag him back to the car, but Andy beat him to it.
“Could you please leave us alone then? Please? I’m fine, really. You don’t need to worry.”
Roman nodded jerkily, “’Kay, we’ll go home. But if anything goes wrong, you call us.”
“Yeah, yeah, don’t worry, dad, I promise!”
That was when Zsasz really did take Roman by his arm and dragged him away before this went on any longer. He couldn’t bear it anymore.
Throughout the car ride, Roman had his arms crossed and was quiet, while he just frowned, pursing his lips. Victor wanted to suggest killing someone to get his mind off things, but he knew it wouldn’t go over very well, so he kept quiet.
Back at home, Roman sat down on his chaise longue, still with his arms crossed, and an even deeper frown on his face. He immediately went to work on making him a Martini. It might not solve anything then, but it usually calmed his nerves a little.
“I’m not a bad father, right?” Roman asked quietly all of a sudden, while Zsasz was still busy preparing his drink.
“No, you’re not,” he replied honestly, pouring the drink into its designated glass.
Then he walked over and gave it to Roman, who nodded in thanks.
“Why doesn’t he trust me then?”
“He does.”
“Really? Because last time I checked, he trusted you with the information of who he was going to meet. Not me!” Roman took a sip of his Martini, sighing shakily after.
“Look, I don’t know why he didn’t tell you, but I swear he trusts you just as much.”
His partner side-eyed him then and took another mouthful of his drink, “I don’t know, Vic. I don’t think he does.”
“Ask him, when he comes home,” Roman full on glared at him then, but Victor just stared back, “You know I’m right. If you want to be sure that he trusts you, ask him.”
“I hate when you make sense,” he muttered, “but fine, I’ll ask him.”
A couple of hours later, Andy finally came home, a happy little smile stuck on his face.
“And I’m back. See? I’m fine, dad,” was his greeting, which didn’t particular amuse Roman.
“Sit down, I need to talk to you,” he said – ordered – instead.
Andrew’s smile vanished pretty instantly, worry clear in his expression. “Okay? What is it?”
“Do you trust me?” Blunt as ever, Roman went straight to business.
Even after all these years, their son wasn’t quite used to it, visibly taken aback by the question, and Victor couldn’t blame him for it.
“Yeah, of course I do. Why?”
“Because you told Victor who you were meeting and I didn’t know anything. Although, granted, you also lied to him about this being your first meeting, so at least there’s that, I suppose.” Now he was just being snappy, which wasn’t anything surprising either, to Victor at least.
“Uh- Shit, sorry. Dad, I didn’t mean to- I meant to tell you, too. I-“
“Then why didn’t you?”
Andy shrunk in on himself, “Because I didn’t want you to forbid me to go. I didn’t lie to papa when I said that I’m meeting them for the first time.”
“You two kissed the second you saw each other! What the fuck, Andrew?”
“We’ve been a couple for a few months now, but only virtually. They’ve only moved here recently to go to the academy. Today was the first chance we had of meeting, I swear. It just felt right.”
Roman didn’t say anything for bit, just breathing heavily through his rage. Victor walked over to him, put his hands on his shoulders and massaged them firmly, helping to ground him. Yelling at Andy wouldn’t do them any good now, either.
“Alright. Fine,” he sighed eventually, brushing his hands through his hair, “Fuck. As long as you’re happy. I trust you to tell us if they do anything that makes you unhappy, so we can deal with it, ‘kay?”
A small smile stretched Andrew’s lips and both Roman and Victor couldn’t help but smile, too.
“Deal. Thanks, dad,” Andy said, got up, walked over and hugged Roman, “I’m really sorry I didn’t tell you. I didn’t want you to feel like this.”
“It’s alright. I promise I won’t follow you on your dates anymore. But I’d like you to keep some of my security nearby.”
“I can work with that,” Andrew chuckled, kissing Roman’s cheek, “I love you, dad.”
Roman kissed Andy’s temple and patted his arm. Then their son let go of him and also came up to Victor to kiss his cheek, “And I love you too, papa.”
“I know, love you too, Andy.”
He may have been eighteen at the time, but he was still their baby, that was for sure. Victor thought they did a pretty good job with him.

maybe this is a bit of a stretch but do you think Baizhu could be related to the Dendro Archon(s) (beyond the fact that he has a dendro vision, of course)? Maybe be the archon himself or an adepti-like being from Sumeru? The fact that he has snake-like eyes is a clear sign of his non-human nature imo. And i know having 'non-human' eyes in Genshin is like, the norm for playable characters, but also eyes seem to be a very important feature when it comes to designing characters in genshin as well as hinting at their true nature (ie Venti's two toned eyes that don't follow the 'same colour different shades' pattern of other characters, Ganyu's gradiet eyes, Zhonli's white pupil & marking, and the Khaenri'ah star shaped pupil to name a few) of course there are exceptions to this 'rule' (Chongyun comes to mind for example) but im hungry for lore lmao (also sorry for such a long ask! you're the only person I follow who's also interested in Genshin lore, lmk if you dont want to get asks like these in the future btw!)
I'm totally fine with asks like these! My responses can just get uh. pretty long. tl;dr at bottom
Hmm....so, I would have to argue that Chongyun is actually not an exception to this "rule." Unusual pupils, in regards to mortals, seem to be part of any playable character with a distinct and important family heritage. Chongyun comes from a long line of exorcists (which I'm sure are important in themselves), Hu Tao has flower-ish pupils and she comes from a long line of funeral directors who helped cure a plague, and it is mentioned that Diona's line was gifted with cat-like features (which includes her feline-like pupils) because of their hunting prowess.
(I do not think people from Khaenri'ah are non-human, in fact they are explicitly described to be humans; Kaeya probably has special pupils because he literally has "royal blood," Dainsleif was a royal guard and I'm pretty sure that is a job that can be passed down through family as well. Dainsleif was turned immortal, and despite what some people say I do not think Kaeya is immortal, because he was a child when he came to Mondstadt and has aged normally since then. Even if immortals' bodies can "age" his timing is still just too coincidental with non-immortal aging.)
As for Baizhu being from Sumeru: My knowledge about fashion isn't very encompassing, but I believe most his attire is unmistakenly very Liyue-like/"Chinese" more than anything. The hairpins, the Chinese coin strapped to his ankle, and the tassels are the first thing that come to mind (and probably more details I'm missing). His name is also an herb commonly used in chinese medicine, and I believe his companion Changsheng is a reference to a famous chinese story in which a spirit-like being who can turn into a white snake falls in love with a human and they open up an herbal/medicine shop together.
And I'm fairly confident that Baizhu is not an adeptal-like being. Xiao's voiceline about him says that "mortal medicine would not work on adepti." I think Xiao can definitely tell who's immortal/magical and who is not (Starsnatcher, for instance) and I don't think he would lie about something like that. Unless Xiao is less knowledgeable about magical beings from other nations and can't tell them from mortals.
So as for Baizhu's eyes, it's entirely possible that he has those eyes because he comes from a lineage of doctors/herbalist or maybe a special line that can speak with animals/snakes? He does actually have similar pupils and eye color as Cyno, who is from Sumeru. Whether that is a coincidence or not I cannot say.
I don't think Baizhu is the archon either; not much is known about either of them, but Dainsleif (narrating), describes the archon as basically caught up too much in his own wisdom--disillusioned somehow, and as I interpreted his description, maybe way too idealistic? and perhaps not fully aware of how reality works.
This doesn't really match Baizhu's personality--we know he's knowledgable in medicine, yes, but that is because he's literally a doctor. Baizhu's defining characteristics so far, imo, are that he cares about people and is nice to them, but mainly because he knows he can get something out of them in return. He took in Qiqi and dotes on her mainly because he wants to study her ability to defy mortality and she can also pick his herbs for him. During the Sereintea Pot quest, he was more than happy to help Yanfei because I feel like he wanted to get his hands on some Smaragnus Jadeite himself.
We don't know when exactly Baizhu started his job, but the Dendro archon is the youngest out of the seven and like Dain said, seems to still actually be governing/leading his nation. It wouldnt make sense for him to give up his status so soon and move to a completely different nation and become a doctor. Such a move would greatly weaken his powers/form, like what happened with Venti.
TL;DR
I think the best cases I can give for Baizhu being from Sumeru is that he's either A) a human born in Liyue with a unique family line, travelled to Sumeru to study at their academies for medicinal knowledge, and then went back to Liyue; B) a human with unique family line born in Sumeru, eventually moved to Liyue, and changed his name+clothing to hide his past/assimilate; or C) a human with "mixed" heritage, like one of his parents was from Sumeru while the other was from Liyue but he just took on his Liyue heritage more.
I think A) is the most plausible.

opinions on riordanverse ; my edition
a lot of people have been doing this so i decided why not right. probably gna lose some followers or smth but anyways. pls respect my opinions! if u disagree, thats fine, but please be polite. unless any of my opinions strikes u as morally wrong then pls point it out to me respectfully. thanks!
- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. ALSO WHY IS THIS SO LONGA SDFJHG
- jason isnt bland, the fandom just kinda erased his backstory (thanks to @pjohoo-memes for the phrasing lol)
- reynabeth wouldnt have lasted/would have broken up several times. idk i just see them as two extremely powerful characters who have firm opinions and will definitely clash at some point. in a platonic relationship,, i can see them as really good friends but as lovers? idk i just think theyll break up
- PIPABETH
- i dont really like jercy,, i see them as better friends than lovers. also idt jason and percy were that close..?
- the dam and not my type jokes are srsly cringey and were never funny. ik that seems hypocritical since my username literally makes use of the dam joke but honestly i dont actually like the joke. its not funny to me and has never been funny
- the seven were not best friends. they definitely argued,, and honestly probably werent as close as the fandom makes them seem. like ure dumped with 6 other people, out of which u only know a few. my introverted ass would have jumped off the argo 2 quicker than leo valdez could bomb camp jupiter up. also leo was a dick to frank. so what if frank is bigger sized?? thats not a valid reason to tease him
- the fandom needs to stop hating on octavian while worshipping luke. if u hate luke and u say u hate octavian too, then okay. but if u tell me ure a luke stan but u despise octavian?? imma disagree w u. luke was worse than octavian im sorry. first of all, octavian being a dick was kinda justified. hes been after the praetor position for so long, and everyone keeps saying to “wait for jason” when suddenly this dude, whos a son of NEPTUNE (neptune wasnt liked much by romans), and the camp decides to make him praetor?? dude i would be pissed off big time. and then afterwards, he finds out that greek demigods are real and the dude they made praetor is greek. AND THEN GREEK DEMIGODS COME TO CJ AND ONE OF THEM BOMB IT UP?? octavian has been told all his life that greeks are scum and this dude called leo valdez attacks cj. sure it was an accident, but did octavian know that? no. so it was honestly justified that he was such a salty prick im just saying. also some of yall be hating on octavian for cutting a teddy bear open and thats the funniest shit ive ever heard i swear
- luke didnt go to elysium
- travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such
- tratie shldve been canon idc idc
- demigods of the demeter cabin arent talked about enough and i love the fact that meg was demeters kid. like she isnt the child of one of the big three yet shes so powerful.
- we need to hype clarisse up more her character arc was phucking amazing
- rachel is overhated. sis found out greek gods exist and regularly come down to earth to fuck around and went “ok cool”. queen shit behavior methinks
- the floor 19 crew of mcga is srsly underrated. like do u even remember halfborn gunderson, mallory keen, tj, etc??? bc i feel like we only remember samirah, magnus, alex, and sometimes blitz and hearthstone
- sadie (tkc) was kinda annoying at first. i like her more now tho but i rmb not liking her for a phat while
- tkc and mcga need more love
- carter kane and jason grace arent boring. theyre just really sweet boys who are too good for this world and yes yes yes
- hazel and frank (especially frank) need to be hyped up more. i hardly ever see anything about them. also yall seem to forget that frank was literally made praetor and that even hecate admired hazel and was willing to fight beside her because of how powerful she was
- frazels age gap is kinda sketch but i still think theyre really cute
- nico definitely had trauma from going to tartarus on his own
- GROVER IS PERCYS BEST FRIEND
- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.
- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.
“ With the feather thing, I looked it up myself; it takes less than five minutes to figure out that Cherokees don't braid feathers into their hair. I didn't grow up in the country where my parents are from. I have many other first/second generation American friends who have also been through that, with a bit of a disconnect from their culture. But something that most of us have in common is that when we didn't know something, and when our parents weren't that big of a help, we looked it up. We sought out resources online and through other people from our culture to be able to connect more with where we came from. Some of that took a Google search. So I find it hard to believe that Piper, a girl who Rick's trying to portray as someone who is attempting to connect with her culture and is totally against racist stereotypes, wouldn't know that eagle feathers aren't supposed to be braided into your hair casually. She may be disconnected from her culture, but she's also shown to want to connect back to it. Piper wouldn't be casually braiding feathers into her hair while also telling off people for being racist. It makes no sense.” - reddit thread (down below)
for those of yall who wanna know more please please read this, it has a lot of things i wanna add in here : https://www.reddit.com/r/camphalfblood/comments/gy3gl2/piper_mcleans_portrayal_is_innacurate/
as well as https://finding-my-culture.tumblr.com/post/189422373260/maxie-ratties-and-cattie-finding-my-culture
i will be posting screenshots of these in future posts so if ure viewing this on ig and u dont have tumblr,, dont worry
- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong.
- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up.  the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic
i have a heck load more that i cant rmb rn but yeah feel free to add more

I dunno if I should legit continue this because I can’t remember where I was going with it. Read a prompt at @sloaners anon or a comment in one of their posts (fantastic art btw go check it out!) about Tsunade adopting a bb Tenzou and well. I wrote this and it’s unfinished and yeah.
I actually don’t even have a title for it. Was supposed to be an eventual YamaIru, too. Oh well!
Names have power, they say.
Tenzou can agree to a certain point because his experience from his missions, his targets, countless reconnaissance on high profile politicians has proven that people tend to cower from the syllables of a name if they are a threat.
Names carry prestige more than an identity.Names give history, are the pillars for legacy provided it is a name the people can accept. More often than not, it is a vessel for fear, control
They’re also a convenient excuse for people to either sing with high praise or forget because the truth is always a pill too hard to swallow.
Sometimes it lies ignored despite its great sacrifice to stop a rampaging monster, when the womb still bleeds fresh and a goodbye too soon falls from crimson lips. It is ignored because it is easier to hate someone helpless than to acknowledge a name that saved everyone.
Sometimes it is indifferent, distant, as cold as the unreadable, white irises of its clansmen.
Sometimes it lies abandoned, walls cracking, dust collecting over blood stained tatami mats where the weight of shame fueled enough strength to slice through flesh. Shame because of a choice to save one’s comrades as opposed to prioritising the mission.
Sometimes it is soaking in blood, whispers of its massacre echoing loud, and towards the end of it, the word traitor.
And sometimes, they’re just old, only remembered through history that is a core subject within the Academy walls, a prerequisite in terms of knowledge for every Konoha shinobi. They’re faded, scattered, heirless, visually only present through the carvings of stone that towers over the village.
Tenzou is conditioned to not pay any heed to something as trivial as a name. Not when he’s been conditioned, trained extremely well, that the only thing that matters is servitude to the village. That the name Konoha is the only thing of true value.
Greater people have sacrificed themselves for the good of village and now, their heir wanders Konoha’s walls shunned, sneered, hated, ignored. Their names hardly mattered in the present -- it’s like the Yellow Flash only exists as a tier to be achieved in terms of talent, hard work and mission success and nothing else. As if the man behind the legacy hardly existed.
Legacy means nothing, Tenzou realizes, in the grand scheme of things.
When you die, you just die.
It’s okay to die nameless.
*
Tenzou hears about Tsunade’s arrival tucked behind the cover of an open locker door. Apparently, Tsunade-hime is in the village for a visit. And like always, she has spent her first day sitting with her former sensei, having tea until she had flung the table across the room, out the window in a fit of uncontrolled, roiling rage.
“I think it’s because sandaime is asking her to stay,” one fellow ANBU says.
“No, it’s got something to do with her gambling debt for sure,” another says.
“Monkey says it has something to do with the council pressuring her to produce an heir,” a softer voice says.
“I thought she couldn’t?”
“Or she doesn’t want to?”
The conversation explodes, only coming to a sudden stop when the sound of a door opening puts a halt on the outright gossip that Tenzou shamefully has been eavesdropping on. Someone dares throw a table out the window in front of the Hokage? And the Hokage does nothing? Tenzou thinks back to Danzou an Root -- if any of them dared show such insubordination, that would mean at least half a day’s worth of lashings under the scorching sun and then dry fasting isolation for thirty-six hours. Not many tend to survive that but that would just mean they’re too weak to remain in Root, anyway.
“Don’t you guys have better things to do?” Kakashi’s voice cuts through with a drawl. It is followed by a series of locker doors shutting, rapid shuffling and then silence. “Oi, Tenzou. The Hokage needs you.”
Tenzou straightens, tugging his clean armor on and running a comb through his damp hair. He slams his locker shut and gives his senpai a wordless nod, acknowledging the summon.
*
A summon that suddenly renders him not so nameless anymore.
Tsunade is a towering figure, heals almost five inches high, back straight, eyebrows narrowed, hands on her hip and staring down at him like he’s a two year old.
“How old are you?”
“Fourteen,” Tenzou responds, keeping perfectly still. He isn’t intimidated by Tsunade’s persona. He’s just feeling a little too awkward because if Tsunade leaned any closer to examine him, her breasts would be ten centimeters too close to his face to be called professional, let alone proper.
“You are awfully small for a fourteen year old,” Tsunade tartly says, almost disappointed.
“I am a hundred and twenty nine and a half centimeters,” Tenzou agrees, well aware of how stunted his growth is. Danzou always factored his slow growth to the radiation and chemical exposure, a side effect to the experimentation Tenzou miraculously survived. But small doesn’t mean weak, Danzou had said, one of the few times he had been encouraging.
“Do you even eat, boy?” Tsunade scoffs.
“Yes. Five meals a day when I am in the village, continuously supplemented by calorically dense ration bars that Danzou-sama advised to--”
“Hah! Which one -- the one that tastes like sweet wet newspaper or the one that tastes like mouldy bread?” Tsunade snorts.
Tenzou finds himself stammering a little, glancing a little cluelessly at the Sandaime who is taking a very, very long drag from his pipe. Tenzou’s mouth quickly clamps shut before he can voice out his confusion. He can’t honestly say he knows what mouldy bread tastes like nor can he say he’s actually tried eating wet newspaper, let alone a sweetened one. So he goes with what he thinks is the correct response to this kind of inquiry. “The N-4150?”
“Sweet, wet newspaper. At least that old fart chose the better formula.” Tsunade rolls her eyes before taking - thank heavens - a proper step back.
Tenzou blinks once, altering between Tsunade now very put-upon expression and the Sandaime who is standing there as if he were part of the book shelf. “Hokage-sama, should I not continue consuming the N-4150?”
Sandaime rumbles an amused noise, blowing out a slow stream of tobacco smoke before he stands, rounding the table. “Why don’t you demonstrate your Mokuton skills for Tsunade, Tenzou? After all, that is the reason you were summoned here.”
It gets another eyeroll, with a bit of a scoff from Tsunade, who crosses her arms under her breasts.
“Yes, Hokage-sama,” Tenzou acknowledges.
He puts his hands together, channels just enough chakra and forms a small pot in his hands, slowly filling it with roots coiling until it sprouts green leaves, topped with large, black centered white poppies.
“Oh, white poppies,” Sandaime smiles, his face wrinkling. “An interesting choice. You see, Tsunade, Tenzou here has been studying botany for a year now. He’s a bit of an artist with his gardening. Tenzou, didn’t you recently start studying architecture as well?”
“I have only started reading some reference books three months ago, Hokage-sama,” Tenzou responds, with a bit of a nod, as his fingers tightens a little bit around the pot in his hands, not quite sure what to do with his creation-demonstration.
“Hmmm,” Sandaime hums, a touch bemused before he brings his pipe back up to his lips. “Reminds you of someone, doesn’t it, Tsunade?”
Tenzou looks at Tsunade, who in a space of a heartbeat looks far too young in a show of vulnerability, as her throat bobs when he swallows. It gets washed away when he clicks her tongue and turns to look at Tenzou, giving him a once over.
“Well, no one fucks with grandfather’s DNA, gets away with it and then keep it from me. Had it been anyone else but Danzou, Root of all places, I wouldn’t take issue! When did you discover your Mokuton skills, boy?”
“A year before I graduated from the Academy.” Tenzou swallows. “I was five years old.”
“Nine years! With that creep!” Tsuande shouts.
Sandaime’s tobacco inhale had to be the longest one Tenzou has ever seen.
Sandaime exhales, responding with a sigh, “Better late than never, hmm?”
“Fine.” Tsaunde grouches. “I’ll do it. Tenzou, you can call me okaa-san when you’re ready.”
The pot drops from Tenzou’s hands.
“Eh?”
Tenzou thinks it's a good response. Given the proverbial punch to the face he’s just received.
*
It’s not that Tenzou wants to say he cares much for the idea of family.
It’s more like he doesn’t quite know what to do with it.
(What does family even mean?)
So Tenzou, much like every other time he gets moved around like he’s no more than a potted plant, agrees.
Not like it really matters, right?
He thinks of it as just having another sort of… superior?
*
A superior that Tenzou apparently now gets to live with after all of those paperwork.
In a large, inherited estate, closed off, covered in wildly growing flora and fauna. The estate does not look like it’s been lived in for decades. There is damage from the growth of vines, some of it poking through the tatami doors, and getting to the interior of the house. There are a few soda cans littered around the gate, some old, some new. Likely the result of dares from the younger crowd of Konoha.
The once heralded Senju estate that Hashirama and Tobirama and their families once resided in is now nothing more than a shadow of its former glory. Uncared for. Outdated. Obsolete.
“Well,” Tsunade huffs. “I haven’t seen this place in, hmm, ten years maybe? Maybe twelve? Tche, what a dump.”
Tsunade toes an old, faded orange soda can by her heel, kicking it further away.
Tenzou wishes he’s no more than a spore in the ground. Should he say something? He may be a Senju by name and by experimental DNA, but that doesn’t really make him a Senju-Senju.
It’s just circumstances.
“Well? What do you think, kid? You like the house?” Tsunade holds her hand out at the once upon a time regal grounds, now overgrown with weeds and littered with random junk.
Tenzou looks at the estate again and decides to go with the most diplomatically acceptable response there is in this case.
“It’s a lot bigger than my apartment,” Tenzou politely responds, as his eyes stray towards the patch of wildly growing rosary pea and oleander growing by the gate.
Tsunade’s booming laughter echoes throughout the entire compound, bemused and real. She doubles over, slapping a hand on her knee, her laugh tapering off to a bit of a wheeze. It almost sounds nervous. A little hysterical even.
Tenzou tilts his head to the side, staring up at this woman, this new mother of his, a legendary sannin, one of the most if not the best, medic there is in the country.
Would it be rude to ask her if she is okay?
“Kid,” Tsunade snorts, shaking her head, reaching out to ruffle Tenzou’s long hair. “I like your sense of humor. You and I are going to get along just fine.”
*
Tsunade asks to see his apartment.
And then proceeds to wear what Tenzou can only assume is her analytical face. It’s peppered with a little judgment, too.
Tenzou’s current apartment is a shoebox in size, with enough space for a single bed, a small sectioned off wall by the door turned to a makeshift kitchen and a connecting bathroom that Tsunade, no doubt, will have to carefully manage her long limbs.
“You like it here?” Tsunade asks, her lips twisting at the sight of the old hotplate on the tiny kitchen counter.
“It serves its purpose.” Tenzou shrugs.
“That wasn’t my question,” Tsaunde prompts, turning that analytical gaze back to Tenzou.
Tenzou frowns, resisting the urge to reach up and rub the back of his head in partial confusion, partial irritation. It’s a comfortable space -- what is she on about? Having an opinion on something as trivial as a living space serves no purpose in the betterment of Tenzou’s skills in the field. It has no correlation to his successful mission counts. Liking something or anything for that matter doesn’t make missions easier or harder, either.
Unsure of how to respond, Tenzou resorts to Danzou’s advice when it comes to undercover. If you’re caught in a tight spot, the easiest thing to slip out of attention is to either blend with your surroundings or mirror the person in front of you.
Tenzou goes for the mirror, sloping his eyebrows down the same way Tsunade is, relaxing his shoulder to what looks like a wary slump, canting his head just the tiniest bit to the side, and responds with what he hopes is a conclusion to this conversation, “It’s all right.”
Tsunade goes quiet for a while, before she sighs slowly and curses under her breath.
“Let’s try this again,” Tsunade sighs, gesticulating with her hand towards the entirety of the small apartment. “What do you think would make this space better suited for you? Take into consideration that you are also currently studying botany and architecture.”
Tenzou looks at the small stack of reference books he had borrowed from the public library, how he has to do most of his reading on the bed. If he had to sketch on drawing paper, he usually does so on the ceiling given the lack of floor space and a full flat wall that isn’t lined with bulging pipes or the sil of the window, with the paper taped on the corners. Makes it easier for him to get on his knees and practice his pencil sketches.
“Then that’s something you should consider when you fix our house, hmm?”
Oh. So he’s fixing it.
Well.
Okay, then.
And yeah that’s all I got. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hey yall. To everyone following me on melpomienie, this is my writing blog lol. And i wrote a lil something for klive cuz its been living in my mind rent free (one day.......ill make them pay for rent.....) I already said this prompt to yeahklive but. For anyone who doesnt know this was based on one of diego's lines in s2 where he said they were forced to learn ballroom dancing so here yall go!!!
______________________________________________
Five remembered how much he hated those ballroom dance lessons their father forced them to learn.
It wasn't because he hated dancing. Not really. He thought it was kind of like fighting. Just a little more graceful. And he found it useful when he had to work as an assassin and go undercover for a mission.
It wasn't because he was a bad dancer either. He was decent. And as expected from him, he learned pretty quickly. Quicker than his siblings.
What he didn't like about it was the need to pair up.
Everyone knew how he liked his personal space. He liked it untainted, without the presence of another person in his immediate surroundings or clinging to him for dear life. And ballroom dancing was kind of the opposite of that.
But of course Sir Reginald Hargreeves didn't care. As long as the children became proficient with something he required to be learned, he couldn't care less about their needs and preferences. Who knew when ballroom dancing would become handy, after all.
And as the Hargreeves siblings were now in a basically barren Griddy's Doughnuts, planning for their next action after their time travel to the present time and the discovery of the Sparrow Academy, Klaus decided to not be involved in the conversation, got himself an alcoholic drink from who-knows-where, and started slow dancing to the music playing in the shop. His other siblings ignored his antics, as usual. But not Five.
Five watched as Klaus danced with an invisible partner, and he smiled as he remembered that there was something he liked about those ballroom dance lessons.
It was getting paired up with Klaus.
It was quite ironic. Five hated being touched or held, even being too physically close with someone, enough to breathe the same air with them, gave him discomfort. And Klaus was the epitome of touch starvation. They stood on two ends of the touch spectrum.
And yet, Five always found himself having the time of his life when Klaus danced with him. The way that Klaus made it so much fun that he didn't mind the hands that were a little bit too fond of holding onto places he shouldn't be holding. Or the way that Five enjoyed his presence too much to mind that he was being too close for comfort. His eccentric nature bleeding into the dance floor. And bleeding into Five's beloved personal space.
Klaus would always find a way to make the dreary lessons into something exciting. Spinning Five around and then catching him into his arms, doing the steps wrong but somehow making it fit with the song playing in the background, and getting the both of them in trouble for playing around. The sermon they always get from their father whenever they did those stunts was always worth it for Five. As long as it was with Klaus.
Five never really told Klaus about that. About how he preferred to dance with him than with their other siblings. Or about how much he liked it when Klaus holds him close, making him look into those green eyes. How they always twinkle with mischief and Five knew they were going to get in trouble again.
He left too soon to say those things to Klaus back then and now–
And now, Klaus had stopped dancing.
As Klaus went over to where he was sitting, Five almost felt like they were in the mansion again, their father announcing who they were going to be paired with. And Klaus, walking over to him in all his flamboyant grace, ready to make the ever grouchy Five to smile.
"Dance with me, Fivey," Klaus said with a smile, the same smile he always gave Five when they got paired up. "Just like old times."
Five looked at the outstretched hand and then at Klaus. He took a breath, and took the hand in his own.
"Just like old times," Five said, getting up from his seat.
______________________________________________
So yeah. There it is. Its now finally gonna leave my brain ksjsksksksk but also im contemplating on making this into a full fic??? Idrk maybe a different kind of dancing 👀👀👀👀👀👀 on the bed 👀👀👀👀👀👀
But anyways yall can send me prompts btw!!!! Id love to get back on writing stuff lmao its been way WAYYYYYY too long so i really need practice. So hit me up with them prompts!!!!!!

"I learned so much more just being out in the world, you know, and a little bit in jail." This quote made me laugh, and now I wonder what kind of headcanons you'd come up with on that theme. (Maybe something with Rick & Shane?) 🌻
I had so much time to think about this whilst sick, my darling sunflower anon and... This is what I came up with. No real appearances of my original character Evie here, btw, so I’m sorry in advance if you were hoping for that? Anyway... This is merely a what if... What if Shane hadn’t gone into law enforcement? What if he’d given into the dark side much much earlier?
If you’ve ever found yourself wondering that, by all means, keep reading.
Is it wrong that I’m tempted to write an AU of walking dead where like... it starts out like this? Maaybe.. But I doubt I do it, lmao.
WARNING:
Heavy on the angst. Mentions of Rick being shot, a bank robbery, several wrong choices in life made by Shane.. Possibly OOC, idk though.. ANGSTY AF.
TAGGING:
@rampagewriting - I guess maybe you’d wanna see this idk? @chasingeverybreakingwave - bc I know you like Shane so I thought maybe this would be of interest... @missjennferb - i thought you might like this idk...
If anyone wants to be tagged, add yourself to my multifandom doc, otherwise I don’t tag.
OTHER STUFF:
[ masterlist - about - tag list doc ]
Tumblr media
Everyone always told them both “You’re going places, kid.” For Rick, it was surprisingly simple. The world, for whatever reason, deemed him as someone who had great things ahead in life. Rick seemed to rise above and beyond everyone’s expectations. Even those of his father, which were astronomical because the old man was nothing if not a perfectionist. A trait which was definitely passed down to Rick in spades...
-- Shane, not so much. Having a rough around the edges drunk burn out former football star for a daddy only means one thing... Either you get out of his footsteps and you do better, you go farther than the old man, or you succumb to all the pressure and the negativity the old man feeds you and you wind up crushed under it’s weight.
-- At first, it certainly seemed as if Shane Walsh were destined for great things like Rick, his chosen ‘brother’ from another mother. All-Star on their high school’s football team, took them all the way to state two or three years on the team... But even having that damn State Championship ring wasn’t enough. The harder Shane Walsh pushed the world, the harder the world pushed back until that fateful game day senior year when Shane Walsh finally pushed too fucking hard. The end result was an injury that left his football aspirations shattered on the ground.
-- Rick did everything he could to keep his best friend uplifted. He was at every single procedure and every single therapy session but Shane was really starting to give up. To lose any shred of hope that he ever held. As a result, he started to resent Rick’s success (and the fact that Rick was the one that their coach chose to fill Shane’s spot didn’t help matters any)... Shane’s father didn’t help either, what with the constant remarks about Shane having never been anything but trash, destined for the same life he lead.
-- Rick went on to the police academy after his own injuries put a stop to his dream of playing college ball. His father was more encouraging. Caring... Despite neither man being able to show emotions all that well. Rick knew he had the love and support of his family, this is something that Shane probably never knew the feeling of.
-- I firmly believe that if Evie were an actual character during this whole universe, she would’ve TRIED and fought like hell for Shane but ultimately, Shane would’ve pushed her away just as he did Rick. I know, I know... This is the only mention I intend of putting about Evie in here though. Anyway, yeah...
Shane goes career military. And at first, he’s fine with it. But he’s sent overseas and he’s exposed to nightmarish conditions, he’s forced to choose between his humanity or caving, giving into darkness and corruption even further. Doesn’t help that during this time, a high ranking officer takes the young man under his wing and basically turns him into a glorified killing machine, puts him into situations that will later spell disaster for the young man.
-- Shane goes awol after a mission goes wrong and he’s left with mild PTSD in the days and weeks following.
-- I know this wouldn’t happen IRL, but.. for whatever reason, the government chooses not to pursue the rogue officer Shane Walsh. Shane goes back home to King County and he’s a changed man... Darker... More cynical.. Angrier. With time, this grows and festers to a point where Shane is now living an almost sub-human life, taunted by the lives he’s taken and seen taken in front of him. He turns to a life of crime.
This, of course, all comes to a head when Shane’s accepted into a group of known thieves. The bank heist nearly goes off without a hitch until Shane is face to face with his old pal Rick... He freezes, which is a stupid.. stupid.. thing to do. He has to choose between shooting a friend that he still very much cares about and losing that last shred of humanity or running for it, knowing Rick will find him and he will take him into custody.
-- I say he has to choose but it turns out that he doesn’t. See, one of the guys, a guy named One Hand Fred... He makes the choice for SHane. Shoots Rick in the chest. Shane is then torn between leaving with their score and his ‘crew’ or staying to make sure Rick sees safety.
-- Shane chooses to stay. This is how Shane’s story ends, with him taking the fall for the entirety of the bank heist and being sentenced to prison. Rick knows the truth. Rick TRIES to fight for a better deal, a fairer sentence.. Doesn’t work. Rick asks for one last favor from his co-workers, and that’s that he gets to be the one who escorts Shane to prison... On the way in, the two have a long and deep conversation in which your quote comes into play. Rick asks Shane if he’s really learned anything at all about the path he’s taken in life and all Shane can do is throw up those walls again and shrug it off. “Dunno, Grimes. Ask me again in 15 to 25 years, man.”

everyone else was making Shlorpian OCs, so here’s my lil family. more info under the cut!
so because I never half ass anything that’s not important, I thought way too hard about what it would be like if they appeared on the show and how they’d fit into the mix so here’s some fun facts, including potential voice actors:
Viyma - would be voiced by Chelsea Peretti - worked as the Shlorpian equivalent of a doctor, specializing in the process of cutting plant material off of people to use to create replicants - on Shlorp she was a total bombshell, I mean look at the curve of her head godDAMN - used to using her looks to get stuff/favors - actually really smart and works hard on things she gives a shit about (her job, family, bocce ball) - was in the same class in the Academy as Korvo - they fucking hated each other - they also hate fucked each other - robe looks like it flares out for dramatic effect but really she's just got A Fat Ass - Big Top Energy -started growing her replicant later than others in her age range because she was Married To The Job and didn't prioritize creating her own as opposed to helping others create theirs - Wine Mom, but never says no to vodka - has a soft spot for replicants (not just hers, she's pretty nice to Jesse and Yumyulack as well) - makes fun of Korvo for not having his ship repaired by now and refuses to help - partially because she has no idea how because she had someone do her Ship Repair classwork in the Academy but Korvo doesn't need to know that Xechee - probably voiced by Kristen Schaal idk lmao - Viyma's replicant - struggled to grow during her incubation and emerged from the soil earlier than normal - real pipsqueek - not actually dumb but def naive - never knows wtf is going on but is just happy to be there - chose female pronouns relatively early for her age - likes flowers a whole lot, hence why she wears one (it's not fungus from lack of handwashing, Viyma's checked) - her fingers never grew properly, just her thumbs, so her hands look like little mittens - will only eat food if you put maple syrup on it first - too young to really be helpful on the mission as of now but she's fun to have around Phin (full first name is Zelphin) - would be voiced by Joel McHale - pupa expert, and unlike Terry, he actually knows shit about the pupa - he and Viyma were kind of into each other before news of the asteroid came out - was friends with someone on the committee to assign mission partners and might have... influenced him to partner him and Viyma together - used to be a huge fuckin dweeb - Terry pantsed him at the Academy once but considering they wore robes nobody saw anything and it wasn't actually that funny - he's still salty about it though - Shlorp version of Be Careful Who You Made Fun Of In High School - Terry doesn't hate Phin but Phin definitely hates Terry - gets into microbrewing at some point probably - really into the Rugged Camping Dad aesthetic, owns 12 flannel shirts - petty af - cocky and constantly overcompensating - a pretty good dad to Willow and Xechee regardless - Don't Talk To Him Until He's Had His Coffee Willow - would be voiced by Ilana Glazer - Phin's replicant - mellow as hell, kind of a hippie - doesn't wear shoes - won't eat meat, and won't even eat fruits or vegetables bc they're technically living - eats straight up dirt to survive (Shlorp version of a vegan) - still smokes weed, and will eat anything while high - a little older than Jesse and Yumyulack, like 16-17 in earth years - discovered yoga pants and can never go back - was training on Shlorp to work in the Solarium and take care of incubating replicants - as a result, she's really into gardening and plants on Earth - got made fun of a lot on Shlorp for picking a dumb name like Willow and not a proper Shlorpian one like Xanthiolix or Greg - probably has a yoga and mediation Instagram
Yeah but then I was like ‘wait why would they interact with the Earth fam if they’re supposed to be on another planet? so here a basic summary of what would go down:
A new neighbor moves in across the street from Terry and Korvo named Brent and they NEED to get to know him better.
Korvo believes he would be able to assist with ship repair because he saw him changing the oil in his car once and I mean, come on, he would definitely be able to lift things Korvo couldn't. With those arms?? (also basically he wants to be friends with him and maybe fuck him but doesn't want to admit that). Terry wants to be friends with him because he saw the big screen tv in his living room and also thinks he'd be into doing butt stuff. He doesn't seem offput by aliens either, so that's a plus!
After a few failed attempts to befriend him they notice a space ship, very much like theirs, in his driveway. Was Brent in disguise this whole time?? Could he be a Shlorpian who could help them with ship repair??? And then Terry doesnt have to hear Korvo complain about how he never helps with ship repair???? Even better!
Then they find out the actual Shlorpians are Viyma and Phin, Korvo and Terry's respective rivals from their homeworld. Not only would they never help them with ship repair or the Pupa, but apparently they're both dating Brent? And they're going to constantly be around to spend time with him???
GREAT.
Yeah I haven’t drawn Brent yet but I like poly couples and I figured it’d also give these clowns an excuse to visit earth and annoy the Solar Opposites fam. They met Brent at Trader Joe’s because their uninhabited planet doesn’t have one so they would make the trip idk  shut up
I’m new to digital art (and it’s been a while since I’ve drawn at all because of reasons but I’ve been wanting to get back into it) and I drew Viyma first, so she looks kind of rough but I think I’ve already improved! I did Willow and Xechee (pronounced Zee Chee btw) last and I feel like I was starting to get the hang of what tf I was doing. Hopefully I’ll be able to draw the canon characters soon (and maybe Brent and their pupa)

Unorganised thoughts on Trails of Cold Steel II:
they still haven’t told me why it’s Class VII
So I liked this WAY more than CS1, thumbs up
I am annoyed that the only new location was Ymir (WHAT A COINCIDENCE that all the important places in the war were specifically ones Rean had been to already)
I just really wanna go to Parm idk
Bless Anton for showing up right at the end and giving me just enough AP to make A0
(fav Anton and Ricky subplot yet, god I love those guys)
I LOVED how tactile all the reunions were! I love it when fictional characters hug it makes me happy
I found it extremely funny that the final boss straight up tells the characters ‘hey, there’s literally no point to fighting me, you’ll gain nothing except closure I guess’ like that’s VERY on the nose and meta for a final boss
The game does have some real ending fatigue though, I don’t think we needed the epilogue
I did like the final boss though - up until that point, I had become so good at using my Dream Team of Rean, Elliot, Machias and Jusis (or Nuke-sis, as I call him, for his insane levels of arts damage output) that everything had got kinda dull for me. But final boss was actually a challenge, I had to think rather than just using the strategy that had worked on everything else
Which was Rean delays, Elliot heals/deals arts damage, Jusis drops arts nukes, and Machias does miscellaneous support/uses his link ability to keep Jusis’s EP topped up
Oh yeah I had them linked through pretty much the whole game and they hated it and it was super funny
So OH MAN, in their linked victory battle ending screen thing, Jusis goes ‘not bad, you actually held your own for once’
And it’s a little muffled, so the first time I heard it I swear I thought Machias responded with ‘you know what you can hold? Your damn top!’ and I dropped my controller. Had to go out of my way to win another battle with a link attack because no, no way-
He
Um
He said ‘tongue’
Anyway, characters!
Rean: Immediately upon starting up the game I found Ride Along Estelle in my DLC inventory and equipped it in the hopes that it would inspire Rean to be a better protagonist. It... kinda worked? I don’t hate him anymore, and I was pretty hyped to learn he was Osbourne’s son
And then Lloyd showed up immediately afterwards and I was like ‘oh wait here’s a protagonist I actually LOVE, nvm bye Rean lol’
Alisa: I literally never use Alisa unless the game makes me lol she was there and I don’t hate her but also I cannot remember a single interesting thing she did. Even during her one bit of plot relevance she was overshadowed by Angelica it’s hilarious that the marketing makes her out to be the deteuragonist
Elliot: A GOOD BOY who served me incredibly well with his off the charts healing crafts, I can’t believe I started CS1 not liking him much and thinking him useless. I love the little dance he does in his idle animation
Laura: I still like Laura, I wish she was more plot relevant. I don’t feel strongly about her, but she’s always a welcome addition to any scene
Machias: Unpopular opinion probably but I really like him, even if his outfit in this game was awful. So are his alt outfits. Fashion disaster. I bought him contact lenses from a shady highway business man because he looks better without glasses. I made him ludicrously bulky, if he’d just had some kind of taunt craft to protect Jusis (squishy mage) with he’d be a perfect tank
I’m a fan of him in a ‘this is my trash son’ kind of way lol
Emma: Uhhh kinda boring which is impressive since she’s actually important and pseudo-related to Vita and all. Btw I guessed she was a witch in chapter goddamn three of CS1 after reading the folklore book, and I find it extremely wild that it’s either a dragged out, foregone conclusion if you have read the book, OR witches even existing is completely out of nowhere if you haven’t
Jusis: My favourite, because I’m basic. But like, he’s seriously the most interesting of the guys, and I made him Rean’s best friend (only one I got to rank 7 with lol). And his bonding event in Bareahard was so gooood!
I find it incredibly funny that he insists he and Machias aren’t friends because 1. Yes you are and 2. Do you even have any other non-Rean friends, guy? You literally never hang out with anyone else unless it’s plot related
Still low key ship it. Enjoy that Rean does too, apparently. Still reeling over their Trial Chest’s quote
His second S-Craft is ridiculous looking
Fie: Most interesting girl, love how she just doesn’t get flustered ever, funniest character, best girl in the game, what the HELL was that outfit
Gaius: I keep forgetting Gaius exists lol. I don’t dislike him, but he’s not very interesting to me. He’s Zin, or Noel
Millium: Man do I want to know more about Millium. Her whole thing about learning to cry... so sad and SO fascinating. What is the deal with her and Altina?!?
Sara: I hated Sara at the start of CS1. Now I adore her. God she’s just the best. Please let her interact with Schera please please please Falcom
Towa: Cutest! She’s so cute and I still love her and I did her final event even though she is TOO GOOD for Rean! She got to be a captain! I love her!
As for more minor characters - still think Angie’s great, just wish she wasn’t kinda creepy about her love of girls, deeply dislike that the game ship teases her and GEORGE, who I still otherwise find inoffensive but also, you know, male, Alfin is great, Toval is great too and I still can’t get over him being Toby, stop teasing Claire with Rean let there be one woman who isn’t into him please, oh good Sharon’s here and they don’t do that with her and she’s awesome also can’t believe I used to not like her, more Olivier always please, same with Mueller, Celine is Morgana from P5 except better in every conceivable way, Crow :(, all the Ouroboros lot are great as always, and Elise is easily my least favourite character in this franchise and can get in the sun for all I care
I read a transcript of the drama CD and hey Rean’s dad can also get in the sun for saying that his adopted son isn’t good enough to marry his biological daughter like where do you even start-
I love that I’ve gone from reacting to Ouroboros appearances like ‘oh shit oh no’ to going ‘oh shit it’s these fucking clowns (affectionate) again’
Still love Beryl. Also love Lambert
When they mentioned ‘Mueller’s friend’ I thought it would be Julia and I was so excited and then so disappointed that it was Neithardt who I still don’t like
Elliot’s dad looks ridiculous riding on top of that tank
I loved riding the bike around SO MUCH, even if it took me a while to get a hang of the controls
Aurelia Le Guin is just Edelgard Fire Emblem, right? And Bardias is Claude? Except I guess this game came first, so like, other way around
Man I loved flying around on the Courageous. Also I FINALLY got a map, all I wanted in CS1 was to see a map of the country
However, Act 1 was definitely my favourite part - the sequence where the kids have to sneak through the railway lines under the bridge to get to Garrelia is one of my favourite parts of this entire series. I kind of wanted the whole game to just be this group of teenagers trying to lay low and survive a civil war while also travelling and helping out from place to place
I uh... I want JRPG Life is Strange 2
Why is there a snowboarding minigame. I mean, I loved it, but... why is it there?
I still really miss the old battle orbment designs from Sky. The ARCUSs just aren’t as cool :(
I watched the secret Black Records scene on YouTube and I am so happy to finally have an explanation for Rosine, it was really bothering me that she seemed so out of place at a military academy
I’m very very hype to play CS3 based on the spoilers I have for who will be making appearances...
:D
Seriously why is everything in these games azure though just say blue-

TUA Season 2 Thoughts
Okay, I know I’m extremely late to the game here, and I’m sure a lot of people have already touched base on the good and bad moments of this season; so I promise that the bad points that I do touch upon, will be short cause I do want to focus on what I loved.
First and foremost, I want to say that I did love season 2 with my whole freaking heart! I was ooooooh so very wrong with a lot of my predictions (and right in others *cough* Lila *cough*) but as I continued watching, I couldn’t bring myself to care (not too much anyway, there were a few things I was mad at, but meh).
 I loved seeing Hazel and I loved that the big oaf at least got 20 years with Agnes before she finally passed on. While I wish we could have seen snippets of that life and love rather then just flash backs to them in season 1; I’m still happy that Hazel got to live his life the way that he wanted to live it. Sure, I wasn’t happy that they killed him off, but for plot purposes it made sense—but on a lighter note, at least he could cross over into the afterlife and be happy with Agnes again. Right?
 Elliott is a hoot and I feel so bad that he died. All that poor man wanted was validation that he wasn’t crazy (which he got) and for someone to eat his damn Jell-O (I love ambrosia btw, but even I wouldn’t eat that ambrosia he made… sorry Elliott).
The sibling interactions between ALL OF THEM!!! JUST AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! It’s everything I could have hoped for and then some!!! The slap fight between Klaus and Ben on the street, Ben’s “You’re so independent, you fight your own damn battles”. Five and Luther reuniting “She’s too young for you” “Dad should have left him on the moon” (I snort laughed at both of these sentences). Then there’s Klaus and Allison reuniting, Allison not even hesitating to jump into the pool to hug her brother. OR THE WHOLE FAMILY REUNION!!! That Vanya and Allison hug! That hug as Klaus joined in and planted a kiss on the top of Vanya’s head!!!! The whole interaction between Allison and Diego “Can’t say Hi to anyone?” just omg, I could go forking on and on with this, because the banter and snappy comments from all of them are just total sibling culture and I relate sooooooooo much to it. (best believe I will jump on someone’s back like a damn spider monkey to protect my siblings, but I’d also sooner shank them too)
RAYMOND AND ALLISON!!!!! I’m ALLLLLLLLL FOOOOOOR THIS RELATIONSHIP!!!!! LIKE OMG!!!!!! WHY DIDN”T SHE TAKE HIM WITH HER!!!!! THEY ALREADY SCREWED THE TIMELINE UP ENOUGH BY JUST EXISTING THERE IN 1963 ANYWAY!!!! Like seriously, I’m actually upset that she didn’t take him with her, and now it looks like her daughter doesn’t even exist either… like omg Allison, sweet heart. Nooooooo.
I LOVE Luther’s development this season, the fact that he goes to apologize to Vanya, and actually takes blame for what happened, just makes me happy to know that the big lug is trying. Yea I know he took the gun with him, but honestly, I can’t blame him either. He was obviously scared and didn’t know what he would walk into, would she try and kill him again? Like we know the gun wouldn’t do sh*t to help him, but Luther wasn’t sure of that. Plus he never actually pulls it, his hand is constantly on it, but he never pulls it out, which shows that hurting her was not the end game. He wanted to actually apologize and he hoped that his sister would hear him out enough to allow him to do it.
I loved sissy and vanya. The friendship that turned to romance was cute, and while I’m still iffy with it because Sissy was married, I also understand to a small degree that Sissy truly felt stuck. Even without Vanya’s interference, I highly doubt Sissy would have been able to get a divorce and manage to keep possession of her son. Carl is an absolute bag of d*cks, and with Carl having a brother in the police force, who’s to say that they couldn’t spin something that would allow them to take Harlan away from her? I honestly can see a divorce between these two getting messy and none of the outcomes working in Sissy’s favor. She would have never been happy inside or outside of her marriage. But Vanya gave her the hope that she might actually find it. (IDK, I’m still really on the fence with it, and the infidelity, but I can’t say I didn’t enjoy Sissy/Vanya’s cute little moments while it lasted…)
Also, can I just say, Sissy blowing the scent of coffee into Vanya’s sleeping face, was truly and utterly adorable and such a dorky thing to do and I loved it.
ALL OF THE KLAUS AND ALLISON INTERACTIONS!!!! ALL OF THEM!!!
THAT SALON SCENE!!!
THAT DANCE AT THE SALON!!!
Also, not going to lie, Odessa was a bad ass b*tch and I love and will protect that woman as much as I will love and protect Raymond Chestnut. I don’t even care that Odessa was only in a few episodes, that woman stole my damn heart and I truly would have loved to see more scenes with her and Allison and the friendship they had.
The elevator ride going up to the light supper, the freaking conch shell, and the siblings’ interactions during the whole thing (Allison rumoring Diego to punch himself, and Vanya’s cheeky “oops” after showing off her powers, just *chefs kiss*).
Ben and Vanya!!! I FORKING CRIED!!! I had to bloody pause the damn episode because my tears were getting in the way of me watching!!!! (trust me, there was a long moment of silence for Ben after that.)
All of them piling into Vanya’s car on her way to save Harlan. That entire scene was a masterpiece “Child get in the back” followed by Klaus just flopping on top of Diego and Allison, like OMG!!! And Luther… poor Luther “If I hear one fat joke, I’m out”
Everything to do with Five and Older Five was hilarious. I’m sorry call me immature, but the fart jokes were funny (even if they did start to get old after a while). Also, poor Luther, once more. We stan one lousy spotter but a brother who tried his forking best anyway.
Luther being a big (little) brother and covering Allison AND Klaus during the hail of bullets.
Klaus being observant and noting things long before anyone else. Like even at the end, when Vanya was taking her power back, everyone else was watching her but not Klaus. He kept glancing around himself while also taking in the scene periodically. There is something there, I can forking feel it. Between that pill scene in season 1, him looking up to the moon with no reason to do so, him spotting The Handler and Lila, him knowing/guessing that Lila can only mirror one power at a time—despite never actually fighting her himself—it all has to add up to something??? RIGHT???
I didn’t think I would like the Swedes… yet here I am putting them in this column. Still mad that they killed Hazel (but as Five told Lila, the job was a job, it was never anything personal). They hardly had any lines at all but their personalities alone and the little things we saw were just… what the hell but I still loved it. haha.
 I CAN”T WAIT TO SEE IF WE LEARN MORE ABOUT THE OTHER CHILDREN MYSTERIOSULY BORN!!!!! Like I wanna see the sparrow academy kids, but I hope we might learn about a few others too. Like how many of those kids didn’t make it? How many of those kids were born with a twin? Were their any triplets??? Like can you imagine that poor woman who had to give birth to not one child, but two that she didn’t have an hour ago??? (and possibly three even though I doubt there were any triplets… but what if there forking was!!!)
SPARROW BEN!!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!! I mean, I’m glad Justin is staying on the show, he’s awesome and I do like Ben, but I’m a bit sad that this won’t be the Ben we’ve seen in the last two seasons (I’ll still eat it up, don’t get me wrong, cause I’m curious to see this alternate Ben, but I’m still sad).
 Also that Vanya and Diego interaction at the end, neither of them having to say anything but still leaning on each other for support, just AHHHHHHHH
The sibling bonds that have begun to form between all of them is what really killed me this season and I loved each and every second of it!!!
 All the one-liners were pretty good too, like the “Ikea mafia” “Think of Batman than aim lower” “Is it too late to be un-adopted?” just efgjoiwengjowegnwrjngwe
Vanya actually using her powers to save someone, and Ben solidifying that fact by telling her she isn’t a monster.
the music choices!!!!
 I’m sure I will add more to all of this in another post, I’m still forking reeling over here and can’t get all of my thoughts straight, but goddamn I loved this season! Dysfunctional idiots—the lot of them. But at least they were making dysfunctional decisions together XD
Okay, now for the things I didn’t like…
Again, I’ll be brief cause I know that there are probably plenty of people who have touched on this already and I’m sure you all are sick of seeing or hearing it by now (so feel free to skip over it all together).
Klaus not telling his family SEVERAL TIMES that Ben was there.
Ben possessing Klaus without his consent (and Ben breaking the rules that Klaus had put into place as Ben nearly got frisky with Jill)---like I can’t even say I’m mad that he possessed Klaus at the light supper. I didn’t like it, it made me uncomfortable, but from Ben’s perspective I understood it. to Ben, he felt like he didn’t have a choice, Klaus had constantly taken Ben’s choice away by not telling the family he was there, so if Klaus wasn’t going to tell them on his own, Ben had no choice but to try and do it himself. I get that, I did. But the whole “Burrowed” scene in the elevator made me cringe something fierce.
The fact that we get Klaus looking badass in the first five minutes of the season, and then Klaus basically being useless the rest of the season, pissed me the ever-loving fork off. I mean, come on!!! EVERYONE ELSE FOUGHT LILA!! WHERE THE HELL WAS HE!??? I’m hoping this is all just setting Klaus up to be something greater in the next season, that maybe now that Ben is gone Klaus will have no choice but to relay on himself and tap into that “Potential” that Reginald had hinted at in season 1 (my fingers are soooo crossed that this is the case)
Not getting their reactions to Ben sacrificing himself (I needed more then just seeing Klaus lying forlornly on a bed, I’m sorry, but I definitely needed more than that). Klaus and Vanya’s interaction in the car did not make up for any of it either.
I don’t know where to put my thoughts on Lila and Diego. While I liked them in the beginning, their relationship kinda lost me the moment she spiked him and basically kidnapped him. I like Lila, don’t get me wrong, but that scene made me really uncomfortable too.
The interactions with the Handler and Five. Like okay, I get that the Handler isn’t treating him like a child because basically Five is supposed to be 58, but it’s still forking creepy to see her swaying her hips behind Five who is stuck in his 13-year-old body. Just… no.
The fact that we only see Allison mentioning her daughter 2 times. Like sure, she’s had 2 years to grieve, but I want to see that grief!!!!
How the show tied Sissy and Vanya’s story line up, and how they tied Allison and Raymond’s story line up… like nooooooo. How the hell would Sissy be safe in the past???? Carl’s brother was a forking police officer??? Does she seriously think his brother isn’t going to come after her when he learns his brother is dead????? Also how is Raymond supposed to explain that he suddenly doesn’t have a wife anymore???? These things don’t just fix themselves!!! Like I understand Five saying they couldn’t come, that it could change things beyond repair, but all seven of them existing in 1963 in the first place has already forked everything up enough as it was.
(Ignore me, I’m just salty that we won’t be get any more Raymond/Allison interactions…)
Anyway, negatives pushed aside, I can’t stress enough how i did love the season!!! And I can not wait to see where season 3 goes!!! I HONEST TO GOD CAN NOT WAIT!!! In the mean time, I will be attempting to write several things for season 2… fix-its, in between moments, whatever I can think of. Let’s see where that goes.
