Rezension: "Vom Geist heimgesucht" (Valley Ghosts 2) von BL Maxwell.

Klappentext: Wade Rivers und Jason Thomas haben es endlich offiziell gemacht: Sie sind ein Paar. Ihr erstes Date, hoffentlich das erste von vielen, beginnt mit einem einfachen Abendessen, aber Wade hat eine Überraschung für Jason auf Lager und nimmt ihn zu Halloween zu einer Spukhausattraktion mit. Es wird schnell klar, dass Jason gerne paranormale Phänomene untersucht, aber er ist nicht so begeistert von den verschiedenen Attraktionen. Als sie sich mit Jimbo, einem anderen Erforscher von paranormalen Phänomenen, treffen, wird ihre lustige Nacht mit jedem Raum der Spukhausattraktion gruseliger. Vom Anfang bis zum Ende durchleben sie jeden erdenklichen Albtraum, und sie erfahren einige Wahrheiten übereinander, von denen sie nie gedacht hätten, dass sie ans Licht kommen würden. Eine paranormale friends-to-lovers Novella.

Rezension: Wohliges Gruseln im Kurzformat: Diese Novelle habe ich innerhalb eines Tages gelesen. Sie ist etwas episodenhaft aufgebaut, durch die verschiedenen Räume in der Spukhaus-Attraktion, die Wade und Jason mit ihrem Bekannten Jimbo besuchen. Und die haben es in sich, dank wirklich gruseliger Gestalten und unheimlicher Dinge. Die Geschichte wird diesmal komplett aus Jasons Sicht erzählt. Was die Romantik betrifft, diese ist hier eher im Hintergrund vertreten, während die gruseligen Elemente im Vordergrund stehen. Wer Angst hat vor Spinnen, gruseligen Clowns, Zombies oder (gruseligen) Puppen, sollte entweder zu anderem Lesestoff greifen, oder die Novelle mit Vorsicht genießen. Es ist aus meiner Sicht empfehlenswert, erst Band 1 der Reihe zu lesen, da in dieser Fortsetzung mehrfach auf Ereignisse aus Band 1 eingegangen wird. Die Novelle ist erschienen im Dead Soft Verlag.

¿Quién Dijo Miedo?

“Nadie llegó a la cumbre acompañado por el miedo”

El miedo es un rasgo normal del ser humano y sirve para alertarnos y protegernos. Desde nuestra niñez estamos padeciendo y experimentando numerosos miedos. Los primeros miedos que aparecen en nuestra vida se manifiestan con temor a los ruidos fuertes y el temor a caer, así vamos creciendo y llegamos a adultos con diferentes miedos: a la soledad, a perder el matrimonio, a perder el trabajo, a quedar en la ruina, a que las cosas no salgan como planeaste, a fracasar, a tomar decisiones, y hasta miedo a triunfar.

¿Es usted de esas personas a las cuales el miedo ha paralizado? ¿Siente que su vida no ha avanzado por causa del miedo?

Cuentan que un día un peregrino se encontró con la Peste y le preguntó adónde iba:

A Bagdad – le contestó ésta – a matar cinco mil personas.

Pasó una semana y cuando el peregrino se volvió a encontrar con la Peste que regresaba de su viaje la interpeló indignado:

¡Me dijiste que ibas a matar a cinco mil personas, y mataste a cincuenta mil!

– No – respondió la Peste. – Yo sólo maté a cinco mil, el resto se murió de miedo.

El miedo es real, no solamente paraliza sino que también imposibilita que veamos las oportunidades que se nos presentan día a día. El miedo nos esclaviza, nos toma prisioneros impidiendo que tengamos la vida que deseamos para nosotros. El miedo no nos deja avanzar hacia la vida extraordinaria que anhelamos en nuestro matrimonio, trabajo, en nuestras relaciones, y en todo lo que somos y hacemos.

Le invito a preguntarse frente al espejo: ¿Qué cosas haría si no tuviera miedo? Y de seguro salen respuestas increíbles, salen esos sueños y esas metas que quiere alcanzar pero que el miedo no lo deja. La pregunta que debe hacerse: ¿Cómo abordo el miedo? Ó ¿Cómo enfrento el miedo?

1- Acepte el miedo

Todos tenemos nuestros miedos, y están relacionados con nuestra historia y nuestros puntos vulnerables. El miedo busca alejarnos de nuestro potencial, de nuestra capacidad para responder ante los problemas. Todos pasamos por miedo, usted no es la única persona que tiene miedo.

2- Cambie sus pensamientos

El miedo puede perseguirle desde su pasado, prepararle una trampa en el presente y aun acecharle en su futuro, no deje que el miedo le domine, no piense en él, llénese de la promesa: “Porque el Espíritu de Dios no nos hace cobardes. Al contrario, nos da poder para amar a los demás y nos fortalece para que podamos vivir una buena vida cristiana”. 2 Timoteo 1:7 (BLS)

3- Sus pensamientos atraen lo que desea

Si usted piensa en negativo, el resultado que obtendrá son hechos negativos. Cuando aparezca el miedo, usted puede controlarlo. Recuerde lo que dice la Biblia en Proverbios 10:24 “Lo que el malvado teme, eso le ocurre; lo que el justo desea, eso recibe.”

4- Conviértase en administrador de su vida

El miedo no puede ser su dueño, Dios es el dueño de su vida, pero a usted le toca administrar y como tal debe hacer uso de todos los recursos que Dios ha puesto a su disposición. Siga el manual, hay promesas para su vida, su familia, sus relaciones, sus negocios. Usted puede lograr sus sueños, alcanzar sus metas porque Dios está con usted, él es el dueño.

5- La Vida es elección. Le toca a usted elegir como quiere vivir.

Constantemente estamos eligiendo, desde el principio Dios nos dio a elegir. Pida un deseo para su vida, pero con desearlo no es suficiente, comprométase a vivir la vida que quiere, una vida de dicha y felicidad, camine en su visión desde hoy. Marche sin miedo.

Tus sueños deben ser mayores que tus miedos. Virgil Thompson decía: “Prueba algo que no hayas probado antes y hazlo por lo menos tres veces: una para sobreponerte al miedo, otra para averiguar cómo hacerlo y la tercera para ver si te gusta o no.”
