i love that they made morph non binary, obviously it makes sense for a born shapeshifter to have no innate sense of gender but it also means they gave mr “manly man smokes cigars and only drinks beer” wolverine a non binary best friend

i foolishly started another playthrough of bg3 in the early access even tho the game comes out for realskies in like a week or so and i'll have get to make more characters/new pts anyway.
trying to make myself not be a pretty wood elf/half elf druid so rolled drow paladin (i'm def going to play a druid first once it's out for real tho b/c talk to animals is my favorite larian studios skill and i'm so sad without it. i just want to talk to all the animals and also wild shape!) and it's actually been pretty fun to just be tanky and whack things.
npcs are super rude to drow tho, it's real da elf and skyrim khajit/dunmer flashback hours (i don't love it? the fantasy race racism stand-in in rpg games always feels not terribly thoughtful? i realize it's b/c the source material has it but still idk there's got to be a better way and wotc/dnd is historically still not great at it)
i keep attempting to play a different type of character (i usually start to swing chaotic good no matter where i start lol), but it's difficult and also it's real hard not to flirt with astarion even if he disapproves of my kinda do-gooder paladin atm lol (i think b/c a character disproves sometimes my contrary nature takes the better of me b/c i'm like oh no but i want *them* to like me even tho everyone else approves or maybe b/c everyone else approves XD i've already romanced him & shadowheart tho, gotta try someone else's arc or proto arc as it were lol. BUT FLIRT WITH HOT KINDA STANDOFFISH ELF!!! i am weak T.T)
still wish you could set up the "what do you desire" character to be genderfluid and appear as both masc/femme forms. like my characters are all bi/pan! they're attracted to lots of people- idk if they've said anything about this? i haven't been watching *too* many dev videos b/c i don't want to spoil myself too much but i did some searching to see if it was mentioned anywhere yet and couldn't find anything (i did see that they'll have more body types for your tav at least in the final which is another small thing i dislike about the early access cc- even tho you can pick non binary as an id, you're still stuck w/ very binary body choices)

also acting like judaism and islam are inherently more spiritual than xtianity, like theyre inherently more progressive than xtianity, like theyre the "good" ~moral~ religions to xtianity's "inherent evil" or that they arent forced on ppl is like, hilariously historically revisionist at best, straight up erasure and dehumanization at worst.
and im not an antitheist and im not saying judaism and islam are """bad"""" religions or that theyre inherently oppressive and again, it all comes down to the tools people use to enforce stuff like misogyny and homophobia, which religion has historically been a major one. (im a religious jew myself)
but like. if your solution to opposing antisemitism and islamophobia is to treat these complex, living religions, with many many (billions with a b in islams case) different followers and interpretations as simply "cutesy uwu spiritual and nonthreatning", youre not actually opposing antisemitism and islamophobia. like there are more options than the binary "blind hatered" and "blind romanticization historical revisionism" lmfao. youre just making it harder for jews, muslims, ex-jews and ex-muslims to talk about their experiences lol.
and like. the only way i can describe that phenomanon is 'europilled americel'

The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) | Official Trailer
The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is a lore-rich and choice-driven historical fantasy visual novel inspired by Irish mythology and Celtic folklore. Play as a tenant farmer from mid-19th century Ireland, whose path becomes inexplicably entwined in fairy affairs after getting robbed by the roadside and lured into the mythic and war-torn world of Tír na nÓg: A once unified land, now divided into the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Will you escape and return home with your stolen belongings? Or does fate have something else in mind?
🍃 STEAM 🍂 ITCH.IO 🍃PATREON 🍂DISCORD 🍃
Eager to play? Certain route content is available NOW in early access on Steam and Itch.io! For more information, click below👇
Meet the Cast

Facts & Questions: The Game
🍃 The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is a Kickstarter-funded project currently in development. Due to the scope of the story, we will be releasing it serially over several years to Steam and Itch.io, and discounting it while in early access. The earlier it's bought, the cheaper it will be overall, and you'll only need to buy the game once!
🍂 Not all routes are currently available! As of Nov. 1, 2024, you can play half of Shae and Maeve's routes; both approximately 50k words. If you're not sure about paying for an unfinished game, feel free to check out our free demo first. It consists of Vol. 1, Book of the Traveller (the pre-route content). Differences between the demo's Vol. 1 and the paid game's Vol. 1 are marginal following our August 1, 2024 re-release of the demo.
🍃 The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) has a recommended reading order (Vol. 1, then 2, then 3, etc.), which will correspond to the release order of the routes. For more information on our reasoning behind this, click here.
🍂 Due to its setting, The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) will occasionally feature instances of characters speaking in Gaeilge, i.e. the Irish language. All instances of Gaeilge are linked to an internal translation tool, which is voiced by Nigel McKeon, a Gaeilgeoir.
🍃 The main character is yours to shape. At minimum, you must choose a nickname, pronouns, and one of four default appearances, the last of which can be your own artwork (instructions are included in the game's files). You may also choose to discard the True Name

🍂 All routes, both current and upcoming, will have both romantic and platonic choice options. If you're uninterested in romance, feel free to make friends instead! No matter the nature of your relationship, you will still be able to reach the good end. (Want to learn more? Refer to this post!)
🍃 Our cast consists of two men, two women, and two non-binary characters. All are romancable no matter the MC, but some characters are asexual or on the aromantic spectrum, which may impact aspects of their romances.
🍂 If you are a Mac user and are having issues launching the game via the Itch direct download, refer to this guide for troubleshooting before sending us an ask. We strongly recommend purchasing the game through Steam instead of Itch if you are a Mac user; it is the best way to avoid issues with launching the game.
🍃 NDM is very intentionally set just prior to the onset of the Great Famine, which is both thematically and textually relevant to the leftist, anti-imperialist story we're aiming to tell. If you would like more insight into this, refer to this post.
🐎 There are secrets to be found in this game, with more yet to come. Prepare yourself for a lot of horse related shenanigans. 🐎

Tumblr media
You’ve never felt loved by your family before.
Born a twin but feeling more like a shadow, you’ve watched your younger brother, Nolan, receive all the love and praise you were denied. But no matter how unkind you are to him, Nolan’s loyalty and kindness towards you remains unwavering. It’s as if there’s a bond pulling you back everytime you think of leaving it all behind.
Now a mysterious illness has swept through Valorian Kingdom’s royal court, leaving many nobles, including the king at death’s door. The Oracle’s prophecy offers a single hope: the Crown Prince must gather five lost souls to join him in a dangerous journey towards Coven’s Swamp, an ominous and foreboding area hidden deep within the mystical forest.
You are chosen to be one of those five.
As you venture deep into the forest, the journey will push you to the limits of courage and loyalty, forcing you to question everything you believe about family and love. This might not just be a journey to save the day, but a journey towards self-discovery for you and everyone in your group. So when the journey ends, will there be anything left of the person who first stepped into the darkness?
Tumblr media
Customize your MC! Change your appearance and control your personality. MC starts out as female, but there will be transition options.
Grow a relationship with your twin! Choose to either continue being unkind to your twin brother or getting to know him instead. Your MC's relationship with him may affect some major events.
Develop relationships! There are six romanceable characters - 3 male, 2 gender selectable, and 1 non-binary. Or you can avoid romance and keep it all platonic.
Learn and improve your skills! With the option to choose to focus on offensive or defensive magic, you can learn and improve your skills to become better at what you do.
Find yourself! Journey through the mystical forest to not only find a cure, but to self-discovery. There are plenty of secrets to learn about that may or may not change the way you think and feel.
More to be added

Tumblr media
Below are the six romanceable characters in this story. You can choose to flirt with everyone, but at one point, you'll have to decide on one. Also keep in mind that there are other important characters as well that are not listed here.
Ver/Vera Forrest | Gender Selectable | 21
Playful and energetic with golden-retriever-like energy, V is always ready for adventure. They never fail to be there for you when you need someone to rant to, or a shoulder to lean on. Their cleverness and sneakiness keeps them out of most trouble due to the way they were raised. And it’s exactly how they are raised that has made them hide their burden under their positive enthusiasm.
You are best friends, so why don’t you know any of their secrets?
Oliver Astoran | he/him | 21
With a cold demeanor, Oliver holds a strong desire to protect the people he cares about, especially those whose kindness is exploited. Your unkind treatment towards your brother causes him to despise you. You are always able to press on the right buttons to rile each other up. He shows a strong sense of determination that marks his mental and physical strength. But perhaps there’s something more to the reason behind his behavior than what the eye sees.
Will you ever be able to see him in a different light, or will it just be fighting, fighting and more fighting?
Ethos Van Winston | he/him | 22
Burdened by the responsibility of being heir to the throne, Ethos is reserved, guarded, and serious. As a child, he was once carefree and one of your closest friends. But after an incident that left unspoken, lingering tension between you two, he now elicits a melancholic presence. His warm side is hidden away somewhere, and you wonder if there was more than just the incident that made him change.
You weren’t the reason he changed
 right?
Theodore Eaves | he/him | 24
From a young age, Theodore’s life has been defined by duty and training. He’s mature for his age and has a tendency to act like an older brother to you and the group. He’s well disciplined and stoic, rarely having time to express vulnerability. His focus on duty has left him oblivious to romantic interest, despite his admired reputation due to his looks and status. His obliviousness goes further though, for reasons that he himself hasn’t fully discovered and understood.
Will you ever get to see a vulnerable side of him, instead of just that brotherly figure?
Mattie | they/them | 19
Curious as ever, Mattie often gets themselves into trouble. But with their charming personality and resourcefulness, they’re able to get themselves out of trouble. They are playful, enjoying the work of teasing others and instigating drama to get chaotic, and hopefully flustered, reactions. Their skills and knowledge about the forest have proven him to be a good asset, but there is more to them than what meets the eye.
For someone who is so bright and playful, they can’t surely have anything to hide, right?
Yaran/Yara | Gender Selectable | 22
Nobody is sure they know who Y is. They seem ambitious, cunning, and deceiving; doing risky things to achieve their own goals at the cost of someone else’s pain. They are unpredictable, popping in and out of your group - sometimes being a guide, but other times hindering progress. Despite their ambiguity, they are charismatic and mysterious enough to leave your group intrigued. All there is to do now is truly learn who they are and what they have hidden inside.
Who is Y and can you trust them with anything, especially your life?

i don't hear many people talk about the intersection between gender and sexuality when it comes to aspec identities but personally i feel that my aromanticism is a distinct aspect of my gender identity and presentation and it's one of my favorite things about myself. the truth about the constructs of gender and sexuality is that they are inextricably intertwined at nearly all stages. the expectation of a relationship, the expectation of wanting others and being wanted in return, is baked into how you interact with others, and therefore how you present yourself. gay people present themselves differently than straight people because they are doing the performance of gender for a different audience. we access our own personal constructions of gender primarily through how we interact with others, how we compare and contrast with others' genders, and so much of gendered interactions is built around heteronormativity or going against heteronormativity that our own personal constructs of sexuality and attraction are woven through it all as well. and exempting myself from the expectations of sexuality and attraction—eliminating the audience from my performance of gender—is kind of. crazy. i'm transsexual in the way that i have no connection to either gender in ANY way. the binary means nothing to me because i neither belong to nor desire any aspect of either gender. for me this means that i get to pick and choose whatever aspects i think are sexiest from either expectation and put on the best damn talent show this town has ever seen (i have no desire to engage in any kind of romantic or sexual activities, but i find it entertaining to be desirable and unattainable), which is both extremely freeing (hell yeah. opened up all of the customization options on the character design menu) and fucking FUN. it's a performance and i'm getting the oscar in categories they haven't even invented yet. it's a competition and i'm fucking winning. it doesn't matter what people want or expect from me because i don't want them and i don't want to be like them. there's a huge gorgeous world out there and i am the most beautiful thing in it. truly one of the most fantastic and fascinating things about being aro to me

can you provide any more. uh. vocabularies gay en français? (tried to ask in french, but couldn't make heads or tails of how to structure questions haha)
you don't know how big is my smile is right now
1. the basics of gender, sexuality and romantic labels
tldr: its the same as in english but with a french accent. really, once you know how to say "sexual", "romantic" and "gender", you just add the prefix of your choice and voilĂ . to make it even easier, those words are VERY close to their english counterparts:
sexual = sexuel.le -> homosexuel.le, bisexuel.le...
romantic = romantique -> aromantique, panromantique...
gender = genre -> transgenre, bigenre...
but in the end, still like in english, we often shorten these words to their prefix alone: "je suis bi", "il est aro"...
and if you wonder about labels which don't follow this structure, i suggest you look it up for yourself, but there's still a 98% chance the term is The Same With a French Accent, exemples:
gay = gay (i shit you not)
lesbian = lesbienne
sapphic = sapphique
achillean = achilléen
non binary = non binaire
c'est vraiment aussi simple que ça :)
2. how to fuck this binary shit
if you're familiar with french, you probably know it's a gendered language, and maybe wonder how you can speak about people who don't wish to be gendered as masc or fem. the answer is inclusive writing (écriture inclusive), which i actually already showed you above, see:
fem form: bisexuelle
masc form: bisexuel
inclusive form: bisexuel.le
works the same for gendered nouns:
fem form: musicienne
masc form: musicien
inclusive form: musicien.ne
as you can see, in most cases, you can obtain the inclusive form of a word by combining their masc and fem form and a "separator" . i chose to use a simple period, but a hyphen or median point ("·" <- this thing) and probably more* can also be used - edit after seeing comments : take note that using a dot can sometimes fuck up screen readers and also be read as a website url!
in other cases (especially for words ending in -eux/-euse or -teur/-trice), inclusive form can be obtained by smashing the fem and masc form all together:
fem form: actrice
masc form: acteur
inclusive form: acteurice
*however, i need you to keep in mind
i am not a french teacher, just trying my best to explain a pretty complex mess. @ french speakers, if you see any mistake or anything i missed, please speak up.
inclusive writing is still being heavily debated, so it has no official guidelines, tbh even i freestyle it whenever i'm too lazy to look up how i should write something. is "lea" the correct inclusive form for "le/la"? fuck if i know but i sure will use it because who even knows.
and ofc inclusive writing is not only useful for non binary people, but also a tool for feminism that allows to get past the "masculine wins" rule (= when writing plurals, if a single item/person in the group is masc, the entire group must be gendered as such)!
3. mmh pronpuns
again, if you know french, you know we have no equivalent to "they" as even the plural forms for "she" and "he" are gendered. so there goes your only option if you're uninterested in either of those : neopronouns, my beloveds.
the most common one (and the one you should use when unsure of a person's gender or paired with inclusive writing to fuck that "masculine wins" shit) : iel, iels for plural. some other french neopronouns i saw include ael, ul, ol, ille, xel... but feel free to make your own up, this is what neopronouns are about. btw les francophones je suis curieux.se, si vous utilisez d'autres pronoms que elle/il/iel, dites moi quoi !
4. important!
faggot = pédé (there are SO MANY synonyms but i'll just give you the most common)
dyke = gouine (alternatively : goudou)
tranny = travelot (trav for short)

What Acotar taught me (I wrote this than I was delirious & on painkillers):
Totalitarian dictatorship from war criminals is bae
Irish folks are EVIL INCESTIOUS GOBLINS
Albaniens (Ilyrians) are misogynistic savages who love to slutshame
Black folks are either the mammy stereotype for the women or the hyper sexualized black men (the non binaries don't exist & just vanish)
Apartheid states are slay
Segregation is cute
where can only be one good person per evil city
Toxic abusive men love their women even when they sexually & physically assault, degrade, harass & stalk them because they have big schlongs
also if your ex locked you up, you should break up and date the man that sexually assaulted you for 3 months (nothing says I love you more if he can't keep his hands to himself am I right?)
women who say that they are sexually aussaulted are lying
women who don't want to be opressed under the patriarchat just need to learn how to fight like men
misogynstic traditions can only change for their leaders and not for some uneducated peasant women
evil people aren't evil if they just say that it was all a mask
if you follower your leaders direction but is later revealed that is was just a farce your loyal ass will be indeed executed (Imagine not being a mind reader)
villainesses who want power also love to sexually assault men
Suicidal/depressed people deserve nothing but punishment (can't they not be so dramatic and just stand up)
Collective punishment is always the best and right option (fuck those broke bitches can't they just be not poor and dependent on their leader)
Stealing from other countries is always a good idea (the British would be proud)
Bisexuals are always promiscuous lying whores
Mothers shouldn't have names since they are only here for their sons sad backstory
Also the pregnant body of a woman is property of the husband
C-sections & abortions are just concepts of an idea
The patriarchy isn't a social construct but a magically destiny system created by god (mormon approvedℱ)
Oldest sisters who aren't parentified need to beg men for forgiveness
Addicts are prisoners and need to be treated as such (American prison system in the sky when?)
Rehab supervisors should just sleep with their rehab patients nothing can cure addiction better than sex
Intervention should always be conducted with people who hate the person who the intervention is for
PTSD triggers are just like Schrödingers cat
Trauma can be fixed with just going to the gym (therapist never heard of them)
The Troubled teen industry works
Slave owners and slaves are equally bad
Oppressed people who kill their oppressor are crazy VILLAINS who should be prosecuted and ideally executed
who needs teachers if you can just write a hundreds times how hot someone is and be a literatury mastermind
pussy needs to be smelt 500 kilometers away
Pregnant bellies glow like a care bear
Winged people cream in their pants after every wind blow
aroace people are mythical creatures who don't exist

Sanguine Sky is a work-in-progress modern dark-fantasy interactive novel. The story is heavily focused on romance, characters, and relationships.
The story rated 18+, contains mature and distressing content that may be triggering to certain individuals. It is recommend to check the full list of warnings before you proceed to the story. Please exercise caution and take care of yourself.
Total word count: 197k words [excl. code] | 227k words [incl. code].
Tumblr media
You are a detective, tasked with investigating mysterious murders that have taken place in your normally quiet and peaceful hometown, Fallenmor.
With two victims confirmed already, the initial one being your former mentor, Detective Bergmann, the situation couldn't seem more dire. Or so you thought until you received the news of another body, a possible third victim, discovered at the police station. In your very own office.
An accident, a mere coincidence, a straightforward warning, a looming threat, or something entirely else
Whatever is happening, you feel it affecting you, awakening something both significantly familiar and distinctly foreign inside of you.
If only you knew that this was just the beginning
 Things could have been different.
But back then, in your ignorance, your singular concern lay with a pressing question: if you failed to find the murderer, who would become the next victim?
Tumblr media
➀ Play as male, female, non-binary or trans; straight, gay, or bisexual.
➀ Customize your appearance and shape your personality.
➀ Take on the role of a detective, immerse yourself in the work of the police station.
➀ Embrace the mystery of your existence, or reject that inner sight of you.
➀ Seven romance options to choose from. Select their gender, be assertive or reserved, or focus on your goal without pursuing anyone.
Tumblr media
All ROs are player-sexual and gender-selectable [M/F].
Kyle / Keira Moreno
Your colleague, a police inspector, and one of the rudest people you have ever met. Sharp and stern, K is surprisingly perceptive, and they use it to really see you. The good, the bad. Everything. Appearance: icy blue eyes, dark red hair, very pale skin.
Alexis 'Lex / Lexie' Conlan
Your best friend, and also your former partner from times when you were just a patrol officer. With a heart of gold and an approachable attitude, L always chooses you over the others. Appearance: forest green eyes, copper hair, beige freckled skin.
Morgan Schoivell
Your other colleague, a highly-skilled lab technician. M is rather reserved when it comes to emotions, and after almost a year of working together, M is still a walking mystery for you. Appearance: dark brown eyes, ash blond hair, light skin.
Roderick / Rebecca Reyes
The commanding agent of the Criminal Investigative Division (CID) team sent to catch the killer. Overbearing and ruthless, R has their own way of getting things done. Appearance: gray eyes, blond hair, pale skin.
Theodore 'Theo' / Theresa 'Tess' Vazquez
Another member of the CID team. With a cocky smile, T is full of flirts and sneering comments, regardless of the occasion. T has no doubts about what they want and isn't afraid to vocalize it. Appearance: dark green eyes, black curly hair, rich brown skin.
Isaac / Iris Brailsford
I looks the most mature and approachable of CID's fellow agents. Looks can be deceiving, though. Working behind the scene and watching from afar, I carries all the scars within. Appearance: hazel eyes, dark brown hair, olive skin.
Sebastian / Selena Goldstein
Someone new and temporary, S has a velvety voice and a perfect smile that doesn't reach their eyes. You're not sure if your paths will cross in the future, but something tells you S can't be trusted. Appearance: black eyes, long black wavy hair, bronze skin.
Tumblr media
Other notable characters:
Your twin-sister: Your sweet, kind, caring, and gentle twin sister. She always tries to be there for you, and show how much she appreciates you, no matter what. Chief of Police, Kendrick Nash: Your boss, who is not handling his job so well after the recent death of his husband, Klemens Bergmann. Detective Klemens Bergmann: Police chief's husband, who happened to be a senior detective and your mentor. He was the first victim, murdered under mysterious circumstances.

So a few days ago, we had a discussion on home defense, and I had some thoughts that are too complex to put there, first, I need you all to be familiar with the survivability onion:
Tumblr media
The syntax is different for a house, but the ideas are the same.
1: don't be there- if possible, avoid high crime areas. We don't always get the option, sometimes crime comes to us. My neighborhood had an issue a few years ago because one of my neighbors had a 20 year old son who decided meth was a nice hobby.
2/3: don't be detected/don't be identified- avoid things that make you a target. New TV? Don't just drop the box on the curb. Break it down and bag it. If possible, make seeing on to your porch more difficult. If you have something worth stealing, make it hard to tell.
4: don't be hit- there's a lot of ways to keep people who know you have stuff worth stealing away. Dogs, lights, cameras, security.
5: don't be penetrated- this is the second to last line, hardened entryways, removal or reinforcement of large ground level glass, (thorny or hard to navigate plants, fences, Ect.) swap the short screws in your strike plates and hinges for longer 3-4" ones, possibly add more, or longer hinges and a full length strike plate. Make sure any exposed hinges are captured pin. Ect.
6: don't be killed.
This is the real last line. Here is where the metal meets the stone, a lot of people ignore 1-5 and go straight here. That's stupid. Deep defense is the best defense. By the time you get here, you're already screwed.
So- the first step of this is still passive. Build a redoubt. this can be as simple as a solid core bedroom door with exterior grade fittings, or as complex as a proper saferoom.
Then you get active. I do not cop to any non-lethal levels here. If you've done 1-5 right, anyone who makes it here wants you and yours dead.
A long gun is where it's at, loaded with proper defensive ammo. No ball, no birdshot.
Hollow point ammo, buckshot, Ect. Everything else that you did before this was a warning, as much for them as for you. By the time they make it through all the soft deterrents, then through the hardened door, and then to your safe room, it's reduced to a binary solution set.

A few clarification points:
For the purposes of this poll, Asexual, Aromantic, and other Ace spectrum sexualities all count as Queer Sexuality, and any gender identity outside the cis binary counts as Queer Gender. If you’re questioning, converting, or still figuring things out, feel free to pick whatever option aligns best with your comfort level!
And there is no Not Jewish button, that’s intentional. If you’re not Jewish, please feel free to leave comments or reblog for a larger sample size.

(Over here in the US of A) So here are some podcasts to check out.

This is also a story about baking.

Between Heartbeats - Tan immersive Urban Fantasy about the hurt, the powerful, and their growth within a broken world. We follow Sundiata, a guilt-ridden time manipulator with a knack for unemployment, and Nadia, a moralistic telepath determined not to lose control, as they balance frayed mental health against an unsympathetic police state. Witchever Path - is an anthology series where your decisions effect the story. Our stories are based in America’s NorthEast, featuring characters finding themselves in the thick of the unknown while tackling issues like queer identity, gender, race, and spirituality. Stories often focus on the communities not typically seen in stories taking place in New England, and giving voice to the perspectives of those communities while uniting under some universal themes. And the supernatural happens. A lot.

I'd like to talk about this:
Tumblr media
{Image ID: A cropped screenshot of an online form with a purple background. The question is "What is your gender identity (click all that apply)." The options are "Woman," "Man (disqualify)," "Feminine-Identifying," "Non-Binary," "Transgender," "Unsure," "Prefer not to say," and "Other." The other option has a text box, and they all have unchecked check boxes. End ID.}
This is an application form for an advisory/advocacy group for the intersectionality of woman/female experiences for disabled people. If you somehow figure out WHICH group this is, please do not contact them in any way. I would like to have the opportunity to calmly and politely give my feedback to them, and an accidental harassment campaign would not help. And of course, they're not really doing anything wrong, they're trying their best, etc. my intention with this screenshot is to use it as a learning example.
Here's the thing... They are clearly trying to be inclusive and acknowledging the gender spectrum, but they're acting as if it's a bar that they can just take one half and leave the other. But as a non-binary person who is also sort of a trans-man, who appears fully as a woman and is perceived as a woman by the general public and the healthcare system, this just doesn't seem to work.
For the form I only ticked non-binary, and I listed my pronouns as they/them, when I usually use he/they. And I don't think of this as lying because my gender is a bit fluid, but also I sort of think that it would be my right to lie in this situation because I deserve to participate in this discussion?
I think we as a society seem to forget that most trans men were raised as women, and do have women-aligning experiences. And most of us don't have male privilege, and the few that do have it immediately negated in situations like healthcare. Being transmasc never prevented me from experiencing ableism or medical mysoginy. And I don't know for certain but I imagine some intersex men, even if they're cis, deserve to be part of this conversation, too.
I think what I'm saying applies to more intersectionalities than just disability, but I don't think it's really my place to talk on that. And don't get me wrong, I do think that discussions about feminine intersectionality are important. Here's what it comes down to - I think we need to just let individuals decide for themselves if they are eligible for certain discussions. I don't know for certain what the best way to do this, but I suggest something like the following:
"This group is centred around the experience of intersectionality between femininity and disability. You may be eligible for this group if you are a cis woman, transgender, or intersex."
I'm open to suggestions or feedback on that.
Tl;dr: gender identity and gender experience are different. Someone's gender identity does not necessarily mean that they should be excluded from discussions regarding lived experience of another gender.

Do you have any recommendations for a nonbinary main character who uses they/them pronouns, is gender neutral, and their AGAB is not mentioned? I can't seem to find any books fitting this, and it makes me extremely dysphoric. I don't identify with masc or fem at all, and I can't find any books with a gender neutral nonbinary MC, where their AGAB isn't mentioned or alluded to except for "I Wish You All The Best". Any NB character book I find is either trans masc or trans fem aligned and I just want to read a book about someone like me...
Hi! so this is a little tricky, because I don’t want to guarantee anything 100% without having personally read each one..
that being said! we had decent luck searching for ‘agender’ or ‘ungendered’ instead of only non-binary. here are some options!
A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers (99% sure it'll fit)
Symptoms of Being Human by Jeff Garvin (according to our research, "The book text never uses a gendered pronoun for Riley and never discloses Riley's gender assigned at birth")
The Heartbreak Bakery by A. R. Capetta (agender MC, no pronouns just goes by name Syd, don’t think assigned gender is ever mentioned)
Sphinx by Anne GarrĂ©ta (trans. from french, does not gender the narrator, or their lover "A***”)
