Dracula (the original 1897 novel) is the ultimate aro/polyam solidarity book.
Firstly, forget everything you think you know about Dracula from the movies or pop culture. The things that might give you pause, like the sexy blood-drinking and romance with Dracula… None of that is in the book, nor accurate to the book even in subtext. The real story of Dracula isn’t focused on romance and sex, but instead friendship.
Friendship is such a heavy theme in this book. All of the characters have such strong, dedicated, and healthy friendships with each other. All the allos I’ve seen read this book even admit that and heavily discuss it.
The main “straight” romance in the book is literally the most well-written and respectful romance I have ever seen in media. Despite the time period the book was written in, the characters treat each other as full equals, actually love and respect each other, have full trust in each other’s love with no jealousy or concern of cheating (at one point in the book, the woman literally laughs because of how silly the idea of her boyfriend cheating on her was!). They are Entirely dedicated and even get a little blasphemous with it, despite being an otherwise very Catholic book.
(Not to mention they both give off major trans and bi vibes.)
The other romance in the book features a woman turn down 2/3 of her suitors. These 2 men hold no ill will towards her for this, but fully accept it and vow to be friends with her forever. And you get to fully see the genuinity and strength of their care and friendship and the lengths they are willing to go through to help and save her. All the suitors themselves have a very strong friendship with each other, with no jealousy in sight.
For the aros, it's a book about unconditional platonic love. Everyone joins and works together to try to save her. Both old friends working together, and new people brought in that very quickly become just as close. And when I say close, I mean “We just met but I will die for you” strength.
For the polyamorous folks, it's a book with so much of that friendship combined with homoerotic subtext and no jealousy in sight. It’s incredibly easy to see all of the characters in a polycule, from the friendship to subtext to thematic parallels. (And most of the modern fandom does!)
I also recommend reading the book via Dracula Daily! The book is an epistolary novel, in the format of exchanged letters and entries all with in-world dates. Dracula Daily sorts all of these entries into their chronological order, so you follow the order of events alongside all the characters. And as there is an in-universe explanation for why the book is written in entries and all of them dated, it's amazing to read day-by-day and get to that reveal in the story. To sign up, Dracula Daily is a free substack subscription by Matt Kirkland. You can sign up for it any time, and the emails start on May 3rd and it runs until Nov 7th. If you do decide to join, check out the Dracula Daily tumblr tags to read and analyze along with everyone else doing it! (But be warned, some people are on re-reads so there may be spoilers, but most folks will tag them for first-timers!)
There’s also Re:Dracula, which is an audiobook podcast that uses the Dracula Daily chronological format. They have different actors for each character and add tons of music and sound effects. It's a really great and book-accurate adaptation, and they lean into the bisexual subtext whenever they can, which is very fun. To listen, you can find it on any podcast service, and it's also on Youtube. (And their tumblr is @re-dracula)

Sorry if this is a silly question, but is it a problem to write bisexual characters being in polyam relationships?
I have a group of characters in my story and two of them start dating, and then one of them reunites with her childhood friend/first crush. I wanted to subvert the "Girl has to chose between hot guy and childhood friend" thing and have them end up in a bi4bi4bi polyam relationship instead.
But I just saw a post talking about how it's a bad if bisexual characters are dating/having sex with multiple people because it reinforces the stereotype that bisexuals are greedy.
Is that even a thing? I know that there's a stereotype that bisexuals are cheaters or promiscuous but I don't think I've ever seen a show/movie with a polyam relationship, let alone a polyam relationship with a bisexual character(s).
As a bi polyamorous person, I think the idea that polyamory is some kind of stereotype, or bisexuality is some kind of stereotype, inherently is someone pigeonholing those identities in a harmful way. It sounds like whoever made that post thinks that polyamory implies greed, when it doesn't. It's just a relationship format. It works for some people and for others it doesn't.
There are so many real life people that will probably feel represented by this kind of work. There also already is some representation with mspec (bi/pan/otherwise multiple-gender-attracted people) polyamory out there and they write it pretty well. Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao is one great example of this I think. Really Cute People by Markus Harwood-Jones is another example of a queer triad of everyone being mspec.
Basically, I wouldn't worry about it. Some people who have misunderstandings about polyamory or bisexuality may feel weird about it, but I think that stems from their own ignorance. Neither of those things make someone greedy or entitled. Polyamory is not being careless with other people's hearts, it's not being entitled, etc. (Though there are people who call themselves polyamorous who haven't done much inner work, who may be like that.) If you're really concerned, you can always add some monogamous bi rep in there in passing, but I don't think it's necessary in order to make the main bi4bi4bi triad good representation.

Speech Bubble things by @i-love-my-evil-old-husband
TL:DR: queer, multifandom+OC, furry, 18+, pro-kink, antiship, para-complicated, checks reblogs+follows
Hey, my name's Nico!
You can also call me Tempo, my fursona's name
I'm a bisexual transmasc, polyamorous (with one perfect bf currently!) and use he/they/galaxy/star
I'm a 19 y/o furry artist! This is a multifandom blog, so things will change as I switch hyperfixations. Because of how much things change, always feel free to unfollow!
I MIGHT SAY SLURS I CAN RECLAIM, UNCENSORED! Please either make sure those slurs are in your blocklist before following, or don't follow if you're uncomfortable with that! The slurs I say are f/g, f/ggot, and tr/nny (I censored it now just because this is my intro post)
I like to post fandom stuff, mostly fandom OCs, with occasional ship art, fanart and fandomless OCs, plus reblogs of just whatever I want! I do not check profiles before liking/reblogging posts, nor do I expect others to check before liking/reblogging mine
Tumblr media
#my art - Any art of mine. WIPs will be excluded
#WIP - WIPs of any art
#doodle and #sketch - Art doodles, I always forget which to use
#saving - Any posts that I'm saving. About half of it might be useful
#not my ship - Reblogged art that I like, but where I don't personally ship the ship shown
Tumblr media
This is my fursona, Tempo! They're nonbinary, bi and poly! They also double as my main Hazbin/Helluva OC, but those are two different versions of them (the main differences being that the Hellaverse version is a worse person and the fursona version is not drug-addicted). They are NOT my Hellsona -- I don't have a Hellsona!
Tumblr media
(I'm not sure if anyone will make any but) fanart of them and my OCs are always welcome! Just @ me so I can see please! Also ask about ship art! I love ship art but I just wanna know who it's of so it's not adult/child or clashing with their sexualities or anything! (Most characters are bi/pan but a few are gay or even straight)
OCs can be found on my Toyhou.se, along with designs for trade
Tumblr media
This is an 18+ blog! While not everything I post is sexy or kinky, some of it is, and that's not stuff I want minors interacting with
Whenever people follow me or reblog my sexual posts, I check their profile to see if they're a minor. If they are a minor, then follow = I ask them to unfollow, and reblog = block
I don't check any likes, or the age of rebloggers on my SFW posts. Checking every like I get, even just on sexual posts, would be too time-consuming, and I don't mind if minors interact with my SFW posts
Tumblr media
This blog is
Multiship -- often ships characters in multiple relationships, either with the characters polyamorous or in separate AUs
Antiship -- views the positive portrayal of abusive relationships as immoral and unhealthy, for both the viewers and creators. Antiship ≠ pro-harassment
Pro-kink -- supports people into weird stuff, as long as they're not harming anyone
I check all reblogs and follows to see if the people interacting are proship or proship-adjacent. This is just to ensure that my stuff doesn't start getting recommended to more people along those lines, since they're not people I want regularly interacting with my stuff or trying to chat with me. Any found will be blocked, and reblogs may be asked to be deleted if I decide
Loli/cub and feral NSFW are not kinks. Those are paraphilias, specifically pedophilia and zoophilia. DDLG/variants and petplay are kinks, since the subject is a consenting, roleplaying person, not a child or an animal
I do not believe in the immediate demonization of anyone with any paraphilia or paraphilic disorder. I believe that anyone with a paraphilic disorder or harmful paraphilia should speak to a mental health professional and get the help that they need without judgement or punishment for their problem(s). I believe that they should be judged on their words and actions (whether they've harmed anyone; whether they create, consume or promote abusive content; etc) rather than something that cannot be chosen -- as paraphilias cannot be chosen. People with harmless paraphilias should not be demonized or harassed. Due to the extremely wide ranges of opinions I found on both sides that could put this explanation on either side, this blog is labeled as neither propara nor antipara
Tumblr media
I block freely, and I encourage you to block me if you want to, no matter the reason!
Now, have a good day :3

hi spinny!! could I perhaps request for a list of your top 10/5 fave characters from tlg? plus your pride flags? :3
hello rahm! :D
i'll try my best, but i'm notoriously bad at picking favourites
1. kiburi as expected. uhhh depends on the au because he can be gay or bi or aroace and trans to me 😭
2. janja. he was my main hyperfix character for a while. mmmmmmmm bi and trans
3. nduli. the boy. he's also gay and trans. can you see that i shoot all my hyperfix characters with the trans blast :3
4. tamka, most probably. believe it or not he's been a hyperfix character too and he gives me bigender vibes
5. ushari. oh hey the first non hyperfix character! he's polysexual and polyamorous to me
okay so it gets way harder from this point onwards because my favourites are usually my hyperfix characters but i'll try <3
6. reirei. love her, she's a very supportive ally
7. neema, and yes i'm putting a character who doesn't talk on here. headcannons ftw, he's genderneutral and aroace to me
8. makuu needs to be on here but idrk where to place him so he's here. he's bi but i do love that T4T makuu x ma tembo ship so depends on au
9. the rest of the idiots. no i'm not separating them. goigoi is also a supportive ally, chungu is omnisexual and cheezi is pansexual
10. mzingo, because he's an icon. gay all the way
this was really hard and my order could change like. tomorrow. but this is the gist of it :] thanks for asking and i hope my answer was sufficient!!!

Hiii, do you know of any books with chronically physically disabled main characters? And books with housebound disabled characters?
For the previous ask, I would prefer if the disabled characters were also bi but it's fine if there aren't any books like that. I'm fine with queer in general too
--
I'm not sure what you personally would consider *chronically* disabled (arthritis? amputee? deaf? HIV+?) but the QBDatabase actually has 411 books with disabled Main Characters or Love Interests! To try to narrow it down, I filtered for either chronic pain or chronic illness + bisexual (or pan / queer)
Full Disclosure by Garrett, Camryn: HIV+ black bisexual female
Sick Kids in Love by Moskowitz, Hannah: female MC with arthritis x bisexual male LI with Gaucher disease
Architects of Memory by Osborne, Karen: terminally ill bisexual female MC
Two Rogues Make a Right by Sebasian Cat: chronically ill demisexual male x bisexual male
Sorrowland by Solomon, Rivers: black albino bisexual intersex MC who is partially blind and has chronic pain
The Queer Principles of Kit Webb by Sebastian, Cat: mga disabled male with chronic pain who uses a cane x gay male
City of Shattered Light by Winn, Claire: chronically ill bisexual female MC
Tripping Arcadia by Mayquist, Kit: chronically ill bisexual male prominent SC
Fight + Flight by Machias, Jules: pansexual female MC with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
The Unbroken by Clark, C. L.: bisexual female MC who uses a cane and has chronic pain in her legs
Cruel Seduction by Robert, Katee: polyamorous bisexual male MC with chronic pain from a knee injury (FFMM bi4bi poly-pairing)
Eight Kinky Nights by West, Xan: FF pairing, pansexual x greysexual, one has arthritis but I don't know which one
The Friendship Study by Barrett, Ruby: bisexual male MC with chronic pain who uses a cane
If there's any other type of disability you're looking for, you can filter by 20 physical disabilities while also filtering for mga (bi, pan, omni, etc) identities!

bestie hi what is wwdits (ik its the show about vampires but not much more than that) and what does it have to do with buddie canon? I've seen you mention it multiple times now, consider my interest piqued
hi bestie, this got long. strap in
you're right, what we do in the shadows is a show about vampires! a comedy to be specific, it aired on fx between 2019-2024 and basically, wwdits was a Very Queer Show. literally the entire main cast was queer in some way. though for most of the series the only couple in the cast was a marriage between a man and a woman, they were both explicitly polyamorous and bi/pan, as were the other two vampires. one of the vampires' human familiar, guillermo, was explicitly confirmed to be gay in later seasons after this was very heavily implied in pretty much every way possible (i was a little bit surprised they still felt the need to explicitly state it, tbh!)
so there was this cast filled with queer characters, and in season 3 it seemed really obvious that they were writing in a romance between guillermo and his vampire master, nandor. from the start of the show there were Obvious Undertones to their relationship but s3 really seemed to be intentionally and obviously be setting up for them to become canon. the official promotional material leaned into it too, and cast members expressed their support of it. i cannot reiterate enough how much it wasn't just wishful shipping, it was literally just the most obvious interpretation of the show if you were watching it with any kind of reading comprehension skills. no one really had any doubts that this was where their relationship was headed in s4. after all, the show has always been completely unapologetic about its queer characters (is any of this starting to sound familiar yet), so why would they have any objections to going through with this gay romance?
well
we never figured that one out i fear but regardless of why it happened, the writers post-s3 started backpedaling. HARD. some viewers will try and convince you nandor/guillermo could have still become canon at any point post-s3 but that simply isn't the truth, it's really obvious that they completely changed their minds and wrote it out of the show as much as they could in the next seasons.
basically the reason why i mention it regarding buddie is bc it was sooooo obvious they were going to go through with this ship and then they still found a way to not do it, even though it undermined the writing of the entire show, even though everyone seemed fully on board with it for YEARS (something that can't even be said about buddie, at least not to this degree).
there was a lot of queerbaiting/ship baiting discourse about it, ofc. witnessing it all did get me thinking about the subject, and my main takeaway from it all has been that the often-heard take of "there's queer characters anyway, so there can't be any objections to adding a main gay romance" is... Blatantly Wrong! of course it's not queerbaiting in the traditional sense, but whatever you want to call it, i do sincerely believe that nandermo being a gay romance is probably the main reason they did not go through with it in the end. even though guillermo is gay, even though he got storylines centered around his sexuality, even though he did briefly get a (non main cast member) boyfriend in later seasons.
the reason being that a front-and-center gay romance would have changed the way wwdits communicated its queerness to its viewers. wwdits, being a comedy, mostly used its characters sexualities for jokes (makes sense, i never had any issues with it, though some people are upset about it in hindsight). guillermo's sexuality was always treated with a a unique sincerity though, and there were several episodes which did focus on it, but it wasn't a massive driving force to the plot the way a canon romance would have been.
i don't think 911 is the same, obviously! it's always, always had a really prominent lesbian marriage at its center, and i don't think a buddie relationship would fundamentally change the way queerness is portrayed in the show the way nandermo would've for wwdits. but i don't think that's the question to be asked here, i think the question is "if the two masculine young men on 911 ended up in a gay relationship together, would this change the way the show is perceived by the bulk of its viewers?" (followed by, "is this change something a network might be hesitant about?")
when buck came out on 911, oliver expressed his surprise that there was backlash against it despite there always having been really prominent queer characters and romances on this show. and i'm with him on that, it is really weird and irrational to be fine with 6 seasons of queer storylines and then get upset when they do it again in a slightly different way, but i also can comprehend how for a certain type of viewer there IS a difference. you've definitely already heard it all before, arguments like "there's already enough gay characters on the show", "buck and eddie are too masculine to be gay", "let men have vulnerable close friendships", etc. etc.
all of this being said i do really Want to believe in buddie canon and i do think it's the most logical interpretation of where the story is headed but like. I've Played These Games Before. on top of that, 911 has a wayyyyy bigger general audience than wwdits ever did, and i would not be entirely surprised if even abc (who have shown themselves to be more accepting than fox, at least) would prefer it if they steered away from what is still a risky decision that will affect the way the show is perceived (while still giving the audience who is rooting for it enough hope to cling to the possibility). i want to believe tim minear returning to the show after (supposedly) leaving it at least partially for buddie-related reasons is a good sign, but unless theyre making out sloppy style on my screen..... i am forced to remain skeptical. and it's all because of the fuckass bisexual vampires.

Queer books I haven’t seen anyone talk about (but are really good)
Teach the Torches to Burn by Caleb Roehrig
This book is the one I’ve read most recently. It is a queer retelling of the classic Romeo and Juliet set in the 1300s with a couple of twists that shape the story into something new and refreshing. While reading it, I could never guess what was going to happen next because I wasn’t sure where it would parallel the original tale of Romeo and Juliet and where it would split off into its own story. It has a gay main character, an mlm relationship, talks about the struggles of being queer in older times and unaccepting spaces, and has multiple queer characters. It also discusses freedom and liberty to live the life you want to live. I would highly recommend reading it if you enjoy queer themes and historical settings!
You Know Me Well by Nina LaCour and David Levithan
This book tells the story of two people who meet and form a deep bond with each other, where through all the trials of their day-to-day lives, they feel like they have someone who finally knows them well. It tells the story of friendship, communication, and having someone to talk to who understands you. To put it short, this book is probably the gayest book I’ve ever read (which is saying something—I read a lot, and mostly queer books). There are maybe one or two characters in the entire book who are straight, and they aren’t directly involved in the main plot. There is a lot of LGBTQ representation, and it’s fairly diverse, with multiple types of queer people and experiences. It’s a coming of age story of sorts, with the main characters figuring out who they are and what they want. I’d definitely recommend giving this book a read!
Candidly Cline by Kathryn Ormsbee
This is another coming-of-age book, with a girl discovering what it’s like to be queer in a town that isn’t particularly accepting. A main theme in the book is Cline, the main character, working hard to achieve what she wants to do in life—music—despite her mother’s wishes otherwise. It has sweet moments of young love, as well as some not-so-sweet moments of homophobia and hatred, but overall this is a book about hope, resilience, and how kindness can change someone’s life for the better.
So This Is Ever After by F.T. Lukens
So This Is Ever After is a fantasy rom-com that explores the unanswered question of what happens after the Chosen One saves the day. The characters are lovable and funny, their relationships with each other well-established, and the banter witty and hilarious. It includes childhood friends to lovers, the classic ‘Chosen One’ trope, and lots of miscommunication (so if you don’t like that trope, I’d suggest skipping this one because it is the main driver of the plot). The main character is probably somewhere under the bi umbrella (although we don’t get any confirmation on this because they don’t use labels) and there are diverse queer characters, including a character who uses they/them pronouns, a character who is suggested to be polyamorous, and numerous other unlabeled queer characters. There are so many moments between Arek and Matt (the main character and his best friend/love interest) that are full of pining and anticipation that it feels like a big sigh of relief when they finally get together. I personally love this book, and to any book lovers of magic and romance, I recommend giving this book a read.
I Think I Love You by Auriane Desombre
This book is a sweet story of two girls who fall in love despite themselves. The main characters are bi and lesbian, and each one talks about their experiences being out of the closet (or not), being queer, and how it causes others to perceive them differently and have expectations about who they’re interested in. They are both a part of a friend group, and the book explores the dynamics of the group together, both with and without the main characters there. It also includes themes of honesty and being yourself, along with knowing who to give your trust to. The main characters have their ups and downs in their relationship, but ultimately it is a story of queer love and pride. I’d recommend this book if you’re looking for a short but sweet story about friendship and love.
Loveless by Alice Oseman (or anything by Alice Oseman, really)
The only people I see talking about this book are people who are aspec, so I’m counting it (also because it’s my favourite book ever). The plot of the book is Georgia, the main character, going on a journey and figuring out she’s aroace (aromantic and asexual—look them up if you need to). It has multiple queer characters and great diversity—the main character is aroace, obviously, and there’s also a lesbian character, a pansexual character, a gay alloace character, and a bisexual aroallo character. The process of Georgia discovering she’s aroace is long and bumpy, but it’s relatable and captures many of the feelings I and many other aroaces have perfectly. It shows how friends are as important as romance, and even more important for someone like Georgia (of course, it isn’t essential for everyone, but it’s an important part of Georgia’s life). All the characters are fleshed out and lovable in their own ways, and their dynamics are easy to adore. I’d DEFINITELY recommend Loveless for any aspecs who haven’t read it yet, and I’d also recommend it to anyone who wants to explore more hidden queer identities such as asexuality and aromanticism.
Never Ever Getting Back Together by Sophie Gonzales
I love this book because it explores the duality of love and hate, and how they aren’t that different in the grand scheme of things. The main characters are both mspec and end up falling in love, and it’s a wlw rivals to lovers situation where they both have opposing perspectives on the same situation. The buildup of their relationship with the struggles it has makes it very satisfying at the end when they get together and work out their issues. It also portrays manipulation in a very realistic way. Overall, I highly recommend this book!

Hey y’all, hope you like my modern animated PRRPM reboot designs! /hj
I wanted to draw my versions of the whole main cast, but I got the primary color trio done & just never finished the rest,,, so yeah, I’m too lazy to continue it, (+ it’s kind of old now & tbh I’m not super happy with the art anymore,,) so here you go,, (I’m still pretty happy with the designs at least~ ♥️)
(*btw, for anyone who’s lost, Summer & Scott are bi + polyamorous (Summer/Scott/Dillon supremacy 💛❤️🖤) + I’m sorry for making Flynn straight but someone had to take that bullet 😔,,,
Also, I made Summer basically entirely new parents (bc I hate everything about them in canon 😊) They’re still emotionally neglectful + abusive pieces of shit, but they’re more cold, detached, cruel capitalists instead of just. morons. (I’d also just kill them off tbh-)
((*Usual Disclaimer:* these are just my versions/interpretations/reimaginings of the CHARACTERS, not the actors; pls don’t @ me 🙏 (+ don’t be an asshole if you personally don’t like/don’t agree with them; thank you ♥️))

right, sexualities of all my MAIN characters from ALL my wips (as i can best describe them)
i'm leaving out rouge ocs like stellan or lauchlan just cuz they don't have a story they're just vibing lol. i'm also leaving out ones where i genuinely don't know yet like itri or seamus.
hyacinthus shrapnel (paramour) -> gay but extremely picky. he was wholly uninterested in sexuality and sex AT ALL until amon
amon (paramour) -> gay and he’s being very whorish about it
lavendula calderon (requiem for the monochrome) -> bisexual but hasn’t really been able to explore her attraction to non-men until the story starts.
erecia (requiem for the monochrome) -> straight-lesbian. she’s butch & troibemme (nb in this universe) but would consider herself bigender she/he in our terminology and fully considers herself both a man and a woman at the same time. she would honestly prefer the label straight-lesbian more than sapphic bc she’s not a woman all the time and that speaks to her experience more than anything.
narcissus spokes (prim & provocative) -> aro-graysexual (sex and romance positive). it’s something she comes to discover throughout her narrative. she doesn’t really experience or feel romance or desire for sex in a traditional way; she desires being wanted so she wants those things for herself but she doesn’t experience the actual attraction herself. she didn’t realize it bc on paper before her divorce, she didn’t have to question any of it—being with myrtus and being casually intimate but never hot and heavy seriously never bothered her. once he leaves though, through meeting new friends (i’m cooking) and generally going through it grants her new perspective.
tagetes gunn (empire) -> aroace (kink positive). the only attraction they have is to power.
kirsi sunniva (alizath) -> bisexual, with a preference for mascs
quill (teardrops of the gods) -> bisexual, with a preference for femmes
darren de leon (vampires don't take roadtrips) -> bisexual with a preference for mascs. he actually thought he was gay for most of his life until he turned like 14 and then he realized "oh, girls are kinda hot too"
julissa vaughn (donut wip) -> bisexual & polyamorous. the dream ending of this wip is her, joaquin, andres, saul and daisy ending up in a quintouple but alas.
noi randiche (noi, alone) -> nblm. they're nonbinary and they like men so. they don't really like labels anyway, but if they had to describe it that's what they'd say.
jenna magboo (jenna the reaper / jenna the witch king) -> bi-ace lesbian. she and carlos are in a qpr basically but in terms of fleeting romantic feelings she'd align more with lesbian (all of her 'crushes' have been women or femme-aligning but she doesn't experience attraction That strongly) but she also doesn't think she's had enough experience to say she's not bi also. lesbian is an important label to her especially because both of her mothers are lesbian, but she also knows she's young and likes the complexity of her labels.
carlos carvalho (jenna the reaper / jenna the witch king) -> aroace (sex/romance repulsed). in a qpr and is a caretaker of jenna - though when i say they're in a qpr its a very unspoken thing between them. like, jenna's whole goal is to become a witch and then make carlos her familiar so they're never separated, so i think that's very explicit about what they are to each other pff.
n blackburn (dead rites) -> the way that n barely registers his sexuality bc he's married to his work LMAOOOO. he'd say that he's pan, it really has more to do with the mental connection than physical attraction for him so anything is fair game (but again... married to his work actually)
beau bellerose (dead rites) -> gay gay homosexual gay
jihan (supernatural dads) -> pan, he's too old to have a preference and he's very open to experimenting.
hue rvynwell (supernatural dads) -> gay and he definitely had a crisis about it when he was growing up. however in his family it was such a nonissue LMAO they were like "why the hell would we care about that just make sure you have a kid" and whaddya know, he had 2!
piper fairwind (tcol) -> queer probably but she doesn't really think about any of that. if she were in our world, labels would be like the most meaningless shit to her LMAO.
san dearborn (tcol) -> aro-queer. romance is just not something she can wrap her head around however she does get into a... teammate with benefits relationship in book 2 that i think is funny as fuck.
deux undershield (tcol) -> literally the first cishet character to appear on this list LMAO
forte symphonia (tcol) -> bisexual
clear brightendale (tcol) -> gay and he's hiding So Deep in the closet he needs someone to tell him its ok to come out lmaooo (aka: literally everyone)
di absyna (lukewarm rejection) -> gay but at what cost (his strict religious parents being generally horrible is one cost pff)
toph (lukewarm rejection) -> bisexual and a menace, but mostly attracted to mascs.
nyseah nicoletti (nondisclosure) -> she's trans heteroflexible basically. she's mostly attracted to guys but she also definitely cares more about a connection than anything else so she's open to exploring. (also she's pff married to my partner they love her LMAO)
donte macbride (nondisclosure) -> gay but more than being gay, he's fucking exhausted.
alona springwell (nondisclosure) -> the second cishet to appear on this list LMAO.
dagmar (celestial weddings) -> being mspec and polyamorous is literally just the default sexuality of the world of celestial weddings so yeeee.
graves (the graves we dug) -> FAGGOT COWBOY YEEHAW. pff but yeah he's gay. and sad.
dove (the graves we dug) -> another faggot cowboy lmao he's gay.
calvin im (purple haze) -> the first cishet dude on this list
jake deluna (purple haze) -> bisexual but he has a rough time coming to terms with this.
nevaeh (god eater) -> tbh i don't think nevaeh even knows what sexuality is (being a beacon of paradise is a very isolating lot in life) but i think they're probably gray across the board. the idea of romance or sex isn't really something they have much of a concept in their brain yet but they're curious about it.
little bear (god eater) -> mspec polyamorous; he doesn't really have time for relationships most of the time but he's definitely open to being ridden by anyone who wants to give it a go.
taj (god eater) -> pan and very in... some sort of codependent infatuation with thei.
thei (god eater) -> pan and tired. in a codependency relationship thing with taj.
lennon rhapsody granger (gothica) -> a surprise cishet appears.
aurora o'rion (gothica) -> bisexual and a whore about it
morrigan briarcos (gothica) -> gay and longsuffering. lennon is his (1) exception.
chidori jonson (train master chidori) -> just generally considers himself queer :)
nyoka (the virgin of mt heredosa) -> demi. its verin or bust.
verin (the virgin of mt heredosa) -> mspec but he's a centuries old god so like the concept of sexuality is mostly funny to him. he likes what he likes.
red (red death and the oracle's favor) -> aroace (sex repulsed bc of trauma). her and hel are in a qpr and i'm obsessed with them and their relationship
hel (red death and the oracle's favor) -> gay but loves red more than he loves dick and that's saying something. he doesn't expect her to say it back or feel the same as him but she cares about him in her own way and he's extremely not normal about it. he also wants to jump arden's bones and Did.
arden (red death and the oracle's favor) -> gay but he can't be gay and the king so he's very closeted. not unaccepting of it but he definitely is not talking about it and only allows himself to indulge with hel under the cover of darkness.
ranger pellish (sixteen candles) -> aro-bisexual and Very sex positive. he's such a slut and he lives by that. him and nan are basically a qpr.
nanette rosenfeld (sixteen candles) -> lesbian but she & range are inseperable and she's definitely given him the strap on many occasion to make him shut the hell up.
tuker hayes (sixteen candles) -> disaster bi with a 13 year long crush on vani he's hopeless.
vanilla vega (sixteen candles) -> demi-pansexual <3
roger grant (sixteen candles) -> probably not straight but is he willing to admit that to himself right now? absolutely not :DDDD
marvin (marvin & linda) -> sexuality doesn't matter because the company is more important (probably gay but yknow. his identity is kind of irrelevant to him)
linda / stephen (marvin & linda) -> mspec but marvin's the first person he's had a connection with on a romantic level.
prosper morning (the white shirts) -> hasn't thought about it too hard, but he definitely thinks marin is attractive and he Hates That a lot.
jane morning (the white shirts) -> she hasn't thought about it before so unknown
marin (the white shirts) -> gay asf
noh bell (noble) -> gay gay homosexual gay space super solider teehee.
peri (peri & dandy) -> outside of dandy, most lifetimes he's demi-gay. but he's really only ever attracted to dandy
dandy (peri & dandy) -> outside of dandy he's pan but he's also only ever looking for peri and only sleeps with people who have "peri energy" (whatever the hell that means lmao)
utah (broken clouds) -> fagggggggggggggggggg
gator (broken clouds) -> faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggg
slug (broken clouds) -> literally they don't know or care about any of that.
sjaak de witte (btaf) -> if he were in modern times, he'd be bisexual probably. and suffering.
biscella (btaf) -> another surprise cishet but i think in modern times she'd also probably be bi i just don't think in the canon verse she had the thought or bandwidth to explore her attraction to women (much to azelie's sadness)

Please Don’t Hate Me
I need to start by stating that I really liked the Red, White, and Royal Blue movie. The cast and crew were amazing and this was a sorely necessary movie in the queer community as far as representation goes. I am also really bad at separating a movie from its source material. So this is just an opinion on some representation, both feminine and queer, that I wish had been in the movie.
First, with the female representation. Most obviously, the fact that June was written out, Princess Catherine was absent, and Queen Mary was switched to King James III.
Even while Alex is the main character, June is the heart of the Claremont-Diaz family. Alex and Ellen are too wrapped up in caring for the nation that they can sometimes forget that they need looking after themselves.
Combine this with keeping Ellen married to Oscar (she and Oscar are too similar, but Leo took care of her) and taking away some of her more nurturing characteristics (good thing bad thing), Alex’s family seems less supportive in the movie than the book.
This is similar to the problem I have with removing Princess Catherine. Henry has Bea’s support, but with the watered down Bea, that’s almost an empty corner. Princess Catherine is what forces the Queen to support Henry and Alex, and that is the first time Henry has felt a parent’s love since his father died. It’s just so important to his story, but I can understand why it was cut.
But why did they have to water Bea down so much? I don’t need the Powder Princess scandal, but if Bea is Henry’s only support, show that she is strong enough to back him for real. Throw her in a leather jacket, send her out to a party with the group, and show an electric guitar in the corner of the music room. It didn’t have to be anything big, but give her back her fire!
Then there’s Queen Mary, which I don’t really mind the switch since it gave us Stephen Fry as King James and the prime minister was a woman. I just felt like it lost some of the symbolism of the female heads of the nations and their opposite viewpoints on FirstPrince and tradition.
Lastly, there’s Nora. I liked her, I really did, but I wish they had mentioned that she went to MIT, even just Alex calling her MIT like he does in the book. There are places of higher learning, particularly in STEM, that kept women out for far too long. It would have been a great boost to show a woman being a graduate of the most well known technical institute in the country.
The only woman I was completely satisfied with was Zahra, they kept her as tough as nails!
Before I start on queer representation, remember that I do realize how important this movie is as a mainstream representation of queer love. However:
By taking out June, they took away the June/Nora/Pez relationship. I personally think that June and Nora were in a relationship and Pez just joined in while he’s in town. But still, a polyamorous secondary relationship in a rom com would have been nice.
That also takes away Nora’s bisexuality, which is just bi erasure! (And I know Alex says he’s bi, but that scene when Zahra calls him and Henry homosexuals bothers me! It erases Alex’s bisexuality!)
Rafael Luna was a huge impact on Alex, and showing an openly gay senator would have been amazing.
I am glad that, since they only kept one secret service agent, that they kept Amy. However, I do miss Cash and his pansexual jean jacket!
Moving on to Amy, I don’t mind that they didn’t mention that she is trans, especially since she is played by a trans actress and that was only brought up in Alex’s thoughts in the book. I do wish she had brought up her wife. There was such a good window of opportunity when she and Alex are talking about her dog. “You know my wife and I named our dog Jonathan.”
The addition of Miguel Ramos brings in the “gays are evil and vindictive” stereotype. Especially considering he was the only other openly queer person in the movie
On a lighter, headcanon note, I see Bea as at least ace, if not aroace, which sucks that it wasn’t included, but it makes sense since it’s not canon. Also, Princess Catherine cuffs her jeans, so she’s obviously bi lol
Again, the book is perfection, and I love the movie in its own right too. These are just some things that were missed or added that I wish changed in the movie!

a small run - down for my muses on this blog :
—— WOODY ;;
woody is a human in his main / default verse , but instead of being a toy for andy , he was a childhood friend along with the other " toys "
on that note , woody is a sheriff cowboy in his real life , and is from arizona
woody is bi and polyamorous as i feel he most definitely is / was in love with both bo peep and buzz . this will not be forced on any ts writers , i am open to plotting ships and basing off chemistry .
he does still his toy verse , but it's request only and mostly for fellow ts muses
—— CASSIDY ;;
cassidy will be written with overwatch 1 only ! I do not know any of the lore or story of overwatch 2 as i don't play anymore , so cassidy will be centered around the lore of the original game
cassidy was a member of deadlock and blackwatch . he's currently a member of overwatch , loosely .
cassidy has a tense relationship with gabriel reyes and moira due to the events with blackwatch and talon . however , he does have a good relationship with genji
cassidy despises talon and would sooner rejoin deadlock than to ever affiliate in good conscience with talon ( meaning outside of being forced to work together on operations )
—— BOOTHILL ;;
boothill is currently in his testing phase at the moment as i only know a minimal amount of lore for his character . i am open to small interactions , but anything deeper will be on hold until i've retained more information about him
