*tim and Damian still fighting and dick trying to break them apart but getting caught in the fight and Bruce who left 7 minutes ago knowing this would happen*

Batmom: “look guys I won!”

*all the batkids turning over to her realizing that their own mother was the cheater*

batkids in sync: “HOW COULD YOU?”

Batmom: “how many fuck I give I won so what”

*jason puts +2, Tim puts +4, damian puts +2, duke puts +4, batmom puts +4, eventually after 2 minutes of putting plus cards down Bruce has to draw 90 cards*

Bruce:”you guys are so doing this on purpose” *looking over to batmom giving a “how could you do this to me look”*

batmom: “start picking your cards” *ignoring him by sheer willpower*

*eventually somehow Bruce wins and half the uno cards are cut up and shredded into pieces*

Bruce: “and that shows kids that hard work pays off”

Batmom: *tired of his stupid lecture of a simple game of uno* “shut up nobody care about your cards worry about them kneecaps” *resting her chin on her hand annoyed by bitterness of losing*

Jason: “I guess we know where damian gets the sore loser personality from…”

*the whole room laughing their asses off*

Damian: “shut up todd”

Maedhros INVENTED the quenyan version of "Y'all'dve'if'i'dve" and gave everyone within hearing range an instant aneurysm deep into their soul. Its a wide range aggro spell and everyone just has to deal with it.

He keeps managing get enough letters for it every game and also keep trying to sell it as a legit word. Everyone is LOSING THEIR MINDS.

Maedhros: Well, technically,—

Feanor: SERIES OF CONTRACTIONS IS NOT A WORD—

Nobody knows how serious Maedhros actually is about the claim but he's already dug this far. He's not gonna back down. He's not a Feanorion for nothing. Boy has a pick axe and a shovel and he's not afraid to use them.

Feanor is one step away from disowning his firstborn but is slowly convinced which almost starts a legitimate coup among the family.

Nerdanel notices Feanor being swayed by their sweet tongued eldest and is considering inventing divorce.

Curufin is torn between supporting his father's side but honestly has never felt more patricidal rage till that day. He ultimately decides to pin the blame on Maedhros and acted accordingly, as is deserved.

Celegorm had to be banned from having Huan with him in the game because he keeps sending him to eat other peoples letter tiles when theyre not looking and Maglor is THIS close to shoving a harp down his throat. The ass keeps targeting him for some reason. (He's not gonna risk doing it to Father or Maedhros. He might not be the smartest but he's not an idiot either)

Maglor: I put down bloodred.

Moryo: Thats two words

Maglor: Thats one word

Moryo: No it fucking isnt—

Celegorm: Blood red. *scoffs* Its fucking orange

Huan: *barks in agreement*

The ambarussa had been caught trading letter tile with each other when no one is looking and suddenly another rule is added to the list. The Rules has become a long list of general do's, don'ts and very specific situations that you would rather not question as to how it became a rule.

TL;DR version: My card game, Jewel Thief, can be played for free by following the downloadable rules available on the shop page and with a regular deck of cards (look for 🍕 under the fold to learn how). I'm pleased with the review it received and plan to address the critiques in a second edition in the future (maybe).

Posting about my card game, Jewel Thief again. A review for it went up, so figured now would be a good time (even tho I’m 2 months late cause the review went up in July -_-). I won’t explain the game again; check out this post if you want to know. The gist is that it’s a competitive card matching game with four variants.

There’s another review that hasn’t gone up, yet so I might make another post or just update this one idk.

First thing’s first, thank you to Michelle Ridge of Board Game Quest for reviewing my humble card game. Her review gels pretty well with my own opinions on the game, honestly. Click the previous link to read it.

Her main critiques were:

Gameplay may become stale over time

Rulebook style may be hard to parse

Playable at two but not exciting

But she seemed to generally like it; which is great! I’d like to address her cons in a potential expansion/second edition; thinking about some kind of 2+ player battle mode or somethin’ idk for points 1 and 3, and I kinda-sorta addressed the second point just recently by uploading downloadable rules to the game’s shop page. I agree with her on it being difficult to read, as it uses a retro-style typeface for its text in which letters overlap and blend together. As the only way to purchase the game is online for the foreseeable future I think digital rules is a fine solution for now, though I would like to play around with the manual’s formatting and whatnot. 🍕 Speaking of downloadable rules, tho; you can easily play the game using a regular deck of cards by removing the Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Jokers and matching the numbers during gameplay. Just designate a number as the diamond if you play game 3 and you're good to go.

I want as many people to enjoy the game as possible, so I hope you give it a try; and, if you enjoy it, let other people know about it. For now-
